  [SPEAKER_00]: the way that it's been built, the coaching, do they have the different pieces that could potentially lead to a Super Bowl type formula in Jacksonville in 2026?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, I think that there are some common threads for a lot of teams that end up winning the Super Bowl.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and do the jackwares have some of those threads that they can pull.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, basically, like, if you haven't been the chiefs over the last eight years, you probably haven't won the Super Bowl, obviously the Rams have been very successful as well, but beyond those two teams, there hasn't been a lot of Super Bowl success.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's been other teams here and there that have made it, but like it's hard to grasp or fully understand what makes a Super Bowl champion outside of having Patrick Mahomes and a good team around him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I still think that among teams that finish in the top two top three top four in the NFL, there are definitely a lot of trends.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've also had some of the F. Them picks mentality and pursuing veteran, or veteran trade pieces, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Ramsey, they went and got to Vontay Adams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, they traded for Miles Garrett, Trent McDuffie, they've done a lot of trading for a big time, Matthew Stafford over the years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I would say expanding to like the past 15 to 20 years,

  [SPEAKER_00]: more often than not, you have a lot of home grown talent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have a lot of draft and develop.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I took a look at the Jaguar as roster, because the Jaguars have added a lot of pieces from outside sources, but they also have a ton of pieces big pieces to their roster that are drafted and developed players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you look through this roster here, 15 of their 26 starters, and yes, I'm listing 26 starters.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 58% of those players have been drafted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you why I have 26.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is basically have two starting running backs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You haven't seen Chris Rodriguez at all, but I'm being honest, I think that there's basically two starting running backs in Jacksonville, so that's why I did two there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Three out of there, top four wide receivers were drafted in one thing of note in the construction of the Super Bowl teams that Bill Barnwell figured out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Usually one of your starting receivers, your number two receiver is someone you've acquired via for agency or trade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar did do that, which is Kobe Myers, is he their number two receiver?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's top three, I would say, I think it's possible that he could be the third receiver this year, the third most targeted receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But three of your top four wide receivers were drafted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if you're having an a heavy 11-person L game, three wide receiver sets, which the Jaguars will have, you're going to see a lot of BTJ Parker Washington, Jacobi Myers, Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: the one area that has a bunch of starters that the Jaguars have not drafted many of them is the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Only one of their starting five offensive linemen drafted by the team, which is obviously Anton Harrison.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, if Colvin Lannon, if Colvin Lannon

  [SPEAKER_00]: not playing early on, then Walker Little was technically, but I don't consider Walker Little a starter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's somebody filling in for a starter and Colvin Lannon as long as he has been in Jacksonville and he's been in Jacksonville most of his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was not drafted by the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jacks traded for him, even though he kind of feels like a homegrown talent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On the defensive line, three of your four starters were drafted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And going beyond that, most of the backups were also drafted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But three of your four starters were drafted, Josh Heinz Allen, Trayvon Walker, Devon Hamilton, and then Eric Rarm said you brought over at Linebacker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: For a look, and again, feels like a homegrown town because he's been around for so long, but he started his career in Atlanta.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Only one of your three projected starting linebackers was drafted by the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have Dennis Gardeck and foiello who are not drafted by the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Ventral Miller who was drafted by the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: trick you to do this because a new regime is here like this regime didn't draft most of these players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But moving forward here, three of the five starting DBs drafted, and again, I have five listed because if you're a nickel, you have five starters.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think the jack-words will be a nickel a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They'll also have three safeties out a lot instead of three corners, which in that case, I think you would still whoever's coming in, like your third safeties

  [SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Ransal would be the most likely candidate, but, you know, Buster Brown drafted by the team, Travis Hunter drafted by the team, Antonio Johnson drafted by the team, Eric Murray not, Jordan Lewis not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would put Jordan Lewis ahead of Jarian Jones right now on the depth chart, like if all things are equal and everybody's healthy Jordan Lewis I would put ahead of Jarian Jones still.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, a large portion of this roster was drafted by the team, and I think that that's a good thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the second two things that I look at here is where is the highest volume of draft capital slash money been allocated?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then also, do you have the coaching?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't see Super Bowl champions without the coaching, and I'll not bear the leader.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is absolutely have the coaching on both sides of the ball and on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you can't rule out the impact of special teams either.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is what they've built with their special teams, a lot of homegrown talent, Heath Farwell doing a great job, Cam Little Logan Cook, Ross Maddisick, all the guys that are good on coverage and good on all the different special teams units.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, Liam Cohen and his offensive staff, Anthony Camponele and his defensive staff, honestly, I'm not going to say they're second to none, but I will say they are among the elite.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel confident in saying that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: got a new offensive coordinator, Clint Kubeyak, but I was a huge fan of Kubeyak.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I thought you should have gotten a head coaching job ahead of last season after what he did in New Orleans and after working with Kyle Shanahan for so long, but it took him an extra year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He got a Super Bowl ring because of it so good for him, but yeah, I think that honestly,

  [SPEAKER_00]: when you look at this coaching staff, you're in a really good spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then when it comes to the draft capital, slash money, where is that allocated?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, number one overall pick at quarterback, number one overall pick at defensive end, and a number what seven overall pick, Josh Hines Allen was.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then at wide receiver, you have a first round pick and Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: you have a second overall pick and Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington was a later round pick to Kobe Myers, you know, you traded for, but you've got draft capital and money spent at Wider Seaver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At corner you have, again, a number two overall pick and Travis Hunter, you have Jordan Lewis who's a free agent signing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and then you have Buster Brown who is getting paid a decent amount.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, I have a fair amount invested at Offensive Tackle with a former first round, right Tackle, a left Tackle on his second contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Back up offensive tackle, former second round pick on a second contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At defensive tackle, you've got some money allocated with Eric Armstead and Devon Hamilton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are like your big spending areas of this roster, and honestly, those are the places you want to be spending money slash using draft capital, and they have not whipped on that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's good players at all those spots, so I think that that's really good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're too, I think, can be a magical year and sports just because you've set the culture, you've set the infrastructure in year one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Year two gives you the opportunity to really build on that, to have the foundation built and to really expand on that, be comfortable, be smart, you're more locked in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then the final thing I wanna talk about most Super Bowl teams don't have a serious weakness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Jaguar is due.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I look at their roster, I think they might not have the same level of proven star power as some of the other top teams in the league.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I do think they have several stars, I also think they have several players that are on the precipice of making the leap to star, stardom, and they don't have the weaknesses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I absolutely think the Jaguars could be a Super Bowl team this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think they look like a juggernaut.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be heavily motivated.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They probably, I know they felt like they should have won the Super Bowl last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A special team's blunder in my opinion, bad coaching decision in my opinion really is what sealed their fate as not being a Super Bowl champions, having a partner tournament back

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, for me once, shame on me, for me twice, or for me once, shame on you, for me twice, shame on me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's one of those deals where they should not have had him back there in the championship game, Congress championship game, but that ultimately ended up costing them the Super Bowl in my opinion.
