- 1:12Speaker 1: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: is way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Here, Welcome aboard. It is that Kevin Show, that Kevinshow
- 1:31Speaker 4: dot Com. Very glad to have you with us, very
- 1:33Speaker 4: excited for you to be with us on such a
- 1:36Speaker 4: momentous occasion. And I call it a momentous occasion because
- 1:40Speaker 4: this is a day where we're going to do something
- 1:42Speaker 4: very very important. I happen to believe with all of
- 1:46Speaker 4: my heart, everything that's in my mind, body, soul and spirit.
- 1:50Speaker 4: My children know this through and through. My bride has
- 1:54Speaker 4: has heard it more times than she can even count.
- 1:57Speaker 4: But in our house where we live, for me and
- 2:00Speaker 4: my house, we will follow Jesus Christ as the author, finisher,
- 2:06Speaker 4: perfector of not only what we believe our faith, but
- 2:09Speaker 4: also the guidance for our future, how we should live
- 2:12Speaker 4: in the present and how to deal with the mistakes
- 2:15Speaker 4: that we've made in the past. There's no aspect of life,
- 2:18Speaker 4: there's no element of life that doesn't come under his
- 2:21Speaker 4: just rule and reign, his desire to help us flourish,
- 2:24Speaker 4: his desire to help us know our mission in life,
- 2:27Speaker 4: his desire for us to be the kind of people
- 2:29Speaker 4: that He's called us to be. And there's not that
- 2:31Speaker 4: many people on talk radio that are going to get
- 2:33Speaker 4: this hyper and this excited about what I'm talking about.
- 2:36Speaker 4: But for me, friends, it's not just words. It is
- 2:39Speaker 4: something that I earnestly, passionately, deeply believe, And I want
- 2:43Speaker 4: you to understand from the deepest part of who I
- 2:45Speaker 4: am to the deepest part of who you are, that
- 2:47Speaker 4: it can be the same for you. You can have
- 2:50Speaker 4: great peace and great joy and great knowledge of God
- 2:54Speaker 4: through a relationship with Him. It's why we do what
- 2:56Speaker 4: we do. I want to see every person listening as
- 2:59Speaker 4: best I can brought to faith in Jesus so that
- 3:02Speaker 4: you can know the joy that only He can give
- 3:04Speaker 4: in its totality, but in that reality and the understanding
- 3:08Speaker 4: that that is the bottom line, that is the highest good,
- 3:11Speaker 4: that is the furthest goal, that is everything that we
- 3:14Speaker 4: can accomplish. That there are some key components to that
- 3:18Speaker 4: that are very, very important, and not least among them,
- 3:21Speaker 4: in fact, I would say perhaps greatest among them would
- 3:25Speaker 4: be the revealed revelation of who Jesus is personally. And
- 3:29Speaker 4: we have no better source on planet Earth. And so
- 3:31Speaker 4: that's what we want to do, and that's why we
- 3:33Speaker 4: invite Bible League to be here. That's why we have
- 3:35Speaker 4: these conversations because it is important, beyond important, that we
- 3:39Speaker 4: get these Bibles to the people who are hungry for
- 3:42Speaker 4: what they contain. One eight hundred yes, word is how
- 3:45Speaker 4: we do that? One eight hundred yees word. You can
- 3:49Speaker 4: also do it online at that kevinshow dot com. Just
- 3:52Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner on the homepage that kevinshow
- 3:55Speaker 4: dot com. The Bible League banner right at the top.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Click that, it'll take you through right there. Michael Woolworth
- 4:01Speaker 4: is back with us, and Michael, I think a lot
- 4:04Speaker 4: of times it is easy for North American Christians to
- 4:10Speaker 4: sit very comfortably. Think about it from this perspective for
- 4:13Speaker 4: a second. How many of us in North America still
- 4:19Speaker 4: carry a Bible to our weekly church services? I know
- 4:24Speaker 4: in the service that I go to at the church
- 4:26Speaker 4: that I go to, there are many people that perhaps
- 4:29Speaker 4: carry Bibles on their phones. I happen to be guilty
- 4:33Speaker 4: of that myself. But there's not a ton of people
- 4:36Speaker 4: in the American construct and culture that have a Bible
- 4:40Speaker 4: that they open up and that they read from as
- 4:42Speaker 4: a book on a regular basis. Because of the technology
- 4:45Speaker 4: that we have around us, but there are not cell
- 4:50Speaker 4: towers and internet portals and electronic hubs data centers where
- 4:56Speaker 4: we're talking about sending these bibles. It is a completely
- 5:00Speaker 4: different universe. And from that standpoint, I want people to
- 5:04Speaker 4: understand that if they're listening to us talk about this.
- 5:06Speaker 4: It's not because the rest of the world's like here.
- 5:09Speaker 4: It's not. They can't have fifty six versions translations all
- 5:13Speaker 4: in one app They are desperate for one copy of
- 5:17Speaker 4: the scriptures in their language Swahili or Mandarin or whatever
- 5:20Speaker 4: it may be. And that's why this is so vital.
- 5:24Speaker 7: Well, Kevin, I'm so grateful that you share our enthusiasm,
- 5:27Speaker 7: our burden to see these Bibles, you know, fill these
- 5:30Speaker 7: empty waiting hands. And that's what we're doing today. We're
- 5:33Speaker 7: filling heart hungry believers with the precious word of God.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Their hearts are full, Kevin. They've come to saving faith
- 5:39Speaker 7: right there in the first you know, weeks and months
- 5:41Speaker 7: of their walk with Christ. But again, how much better
- 5:44Speaker 7: when you have your own Bible to be able to open,
- 5:46Speaker 7: you know, God's precious word, understand as will for your life,
- 5:49Speaker 7: claim those promises in the day to day in places
- 5:52Speaker 7: like China.
- 5:52Speaker 2: We're going to take your listeners there in just a moment.
- 5:55Speaker 7: But again, we want to do this for ten thousand
- 5:57Speaker 7: waiting believers that we know by name it Bible. Kevin,
- 6:00Speaker 7: as I recollect, this would be our eleventh campaign together,
- 6:04Speaker 7: you and I've done this for more than a decade
- 6:06Speaker 7: or possible.
- 6:07Speaker 4: But we've never parted your word for it.
- 6:09Speaker 7: By the grace of God, and you've not changed one
- 6:12Speaker 7: bit in those eleven years. Kevin, I feel like I've
- 6:15Speaker 7: aged a little bit, but you know, we've never parted
- 6:18Speaker 7: ways disappointed. This listening family has been so incredibly generous,
- 6:22Speaker 7: and I suppose they ask themselves, you know, God has
- 6:24Speaker 7: used his word to grow me. I love my Bible, right,
- 6:28Speaker 7: I simply want to give that privilege to others. And
- 6:31Speaker 7: is this the opportunity? This is the opportunity, right? And
- 6:33Speaker 7: so we're praying that when we wrap this up in
- 6:35Speaker 7: the coming weeks, that we can circle back to all
- 6:38Speaker 7: ten thousand, eight hundred just north of ten thousand, ten thousand,
- 6:41Speaker 7: eight hundred waiting believers again that we know by name
- 6:44Speaker 7: it Bible leak. Hey, the Bibles you're praying for, they're coming.
- 6:47Speaker 7: They're on their way.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Eight hundred yes, word is how they get there? One
- 6:51Speaker 4: eight hundred yees word. They are only five dollars of copy, friends,
- 6:56Speaker 4: and I would encourage you, you can't even download the
- 6:59Speaker 4: best Bible acts on your app store for five dollars
- 7:03Speaker 4: because they're going to ask you for the for the
- 7:04Speaker 4: additional purchases inside, it's always going to be more than that.
- 7:07Speaker 4: So for less than it costs you to have your
- 7:10Speaker 4: electronic version, you can supply a physical copy, a durable copy.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I've held these copies of scripture in my own hand.
- 7:18Speaker 4: I've been to the Bible League headquarters. I've seen them
- 7:20Speaker 4: with my own eyes. They are made out of a
- 7:22Speaker 4: durable outer covering that is not like the leather or
- 7:27Speaker 4: what you may imagine the leather to be in American
- 7:31Speaker 4: Bibles or in you know, modern bibles. But it's actually
- 7:34Speaker 4: more durable than that. And then when you when you
- 7:36Speaker 4: peel open the pages, the pages have a durability to them.
- 7:40Speaker 4: They're they're they're stronger than average. And so these Bibles
- 7:43Speaker 4: are built to last. They are built for the long haul.
- 7:47Speaker 4: They are built to withstand twelve different people using them,
- 7:50Speaker 4: reading them, coming to faith in Jesus because of them.
- 7:53Speaker 4: And Michael, I've heard for years the stories of how
- 7:57Speaker 4: you know, some churches are so small and the copies
- 7:59Speaker 4: of the scriptures are so rare that they've had to
- 8:02Speaker 4: do the heart wrenching thing of tearing a Bible apart
- 8:05Speaker 4: and having one book of the Bible go with with
- 8:08Speaker 4: one family for a week, and another book of the
- 8:10Speaker 4: Bible go with another family so that they can study
- 8:12Speaker 4: during the week. We don't want to see that. We
- 8:16Speaker 4: want every family to have a copy of God's Word
- 8:18Speaker 4: that are in these communities. And am I thankful for
- 8:21Speaker 4: their thirst and hunger for God's Word? Absolutely, But for
- 8:25Speaker 4: five dollars we should be able to satiate that pretty easily.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Well, you know I want to take you to China.
- 8:30Speaker 7: I We'll do that on either side of the break.
- 8:32Speaker 7: But you know, the main way that we accomplish our
- 8:35Speaker 7: gre weekly Bible study. Somebody will invite somebody to come
- 8:38Speaker 7: learn about Jesus. Right. But the other way we do
- 8:40Speaker 7: this is through the gift of literacy. As you engage
- 8:43Speaker 7: people in the world, you find out they can't read,
- 8:45Speaker 7: you have another problem.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:47Speaker 7: So we developed a literacy program about forty years ago
- 8:50Speaker 7: that gives the gift of literacy in the native language
- 8:53Speaker 7: of that person. Right, And in places like China, we've
- 8:56Speaker 7: been able to offer English as a second language. And
- 8:59Speaker 7: the story am ming about twelve years of age or
- 9:02Speaker 7: a father, a commercial fisherman, a Confucianist, her mother, a tailor,
- 9:06Speaker 7: a bitter atheist, right, But they've desired a better life
- 9:10Speaker 7: for their daughter Ming, right, And so they found out
- 9:13Speaker 7: about English as a second language. And there's a lot
- 9:16Speaker 7: of people in China eager to learn English, whites, an
- 9:18Speaker 7: international business language. But they would send Ming to a
- 9:22Speaker 7: local community center, not knowing that that venue is what
- 9:25Speaker 7: it was. A church partnered with Bible League to offer
- 9:28Speaker 7: that program without charge, and so Ming would go to
- 9:32Speaker 7: that week after week. I know we've got to go
- 9:34Speaker 7: to break, but let me come back and tell you
- 9:36Speaker 7: what's happened with Ming and with her father and even
- 9:39Speaker 7: with their divided household right now. But again, Kevin, that's
- 9:42Speaker 7: why we're here doing this Kingdom business.
- 9:44Speaker 4: We'll get that update when we come back. He's Michael
- 9:47Speaker 4: Woolworth of Bible League. I'm Kevin McCullough, very very glad to.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Have you.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Here. He is from New York. Kevin McCullough, all right,
- 10:19Speaker 2: welcome back, Kevin mccalloch.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I'd have you with us. And we don't just talk
- 10:23Speaker 4: about the Bible around here. We actually believe in it,
- 10:27Speaker 4: which is so unlike a lot of politicians and other
- 10:30Speaker 4: people that conveniently conveniently say well as the good Book
- 10:34Speaker 4: says Scripture says, as this says, no, no, no, no.
- 10:36Speaker 4: We actually want to delve into what it actually does
- 10:39Speaker 4: say because we believe it applies to our lives. And
- 10:41Speaker 4: that's why we stop at this point in the show
- 10:43Speaker 4: every day and we say, hey, how do we live?
- 10:46Speaker 4: How do we live as followers of Jesus in a
- 10:49Speaker 4: culture that despises God, really has no use for his
- 10:52Speaker 4: word whatsoever, and looks at us at best with a
- 10:55Speaker 4: little suspicion. What are those Christians?
- 10:58Speaker 5: Is?
- 10:58Speaker 4: Why are they so weird or outright hostility? We must
- 11:02Speaker 4: stop them, we must not let them have influence, etc.
- 11:05Speaker 4: How do we live in the midst of that being
- 11:07Speaker 4: the culture and the context that we are planting in. Well,
- 11:11Speaker 4: that's why we have this discussion every day. And I'm
- 11:14Speaker 4: very well glad to welcome back Craig Giergo, who is
- 11:17Speaker 4: from the christ Church at Grove Farm in just outside
- 11:21Speaker 4: of Pittsburgh for his return trip here. He's spending his
- 11:25Speaker 4: first week with us on how do we Live? And Greg, Craig,
- 11:28Speaker 4: we had a great start to the discussion yesterday about
- 11:31Speaker 4: what it means as individual believers to now have kind
- 11:36Speaker 4: of the role and responsibility of being God's agents his
- 11:40Speaker 4: priests in our lives and to the world as we
- 11:45Speaker 4: come into contact with it yesterday, and we're advancing that
- 11:48Speaker 4: thought to Matthew chapter five today. What do we see there?
- 11:51Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, And I think, first of all, I
- 11:53Speaker 6: love that you do this.
- 11:54Speaker 8: I just want to say that, you know, when you
- 11:56Speaker 8: talk about the introduction of this and believing the Bible,
- 11:59Speaker 8: love that.
- 11:59Speaker 6: Part, you know.
- 12:01Speaker 8: I think first of all, you know, we talk about
- 12:02Speaker 8: the priests of believers, which we looked at first Peter
- 12:05Speaker 8: two nine yesterday. I think one one of the things
- 12:07Speaker 8: that's really important is to remember that the situation in
- 12:11Speaker 8: Asia Minor was contentious for the early Christians. So so
- 12:16Speaker 8: Peter's is not talking to the Bible belt, you know
- 12:20Speaker 8: when he when he writes those words, he is speaking
- 12:23Speaker 8: to a people who live in a hostile culture. And
- 12:26Speaker 8: and he is saying, no, your role, you're responsible. Your
- 12:29Speaker 8: calling is just like it was in Exodus for the
- 12:32Speaker 8: people of Israel. Now it's for you as a Christian
- 12:34Speaker 8: people who have tasted forgiveness. It doesn't stop it at being,
- 12:38Speaker 8: you know, a forgiven sinner. You are someone who represents
- 12:43Speaker 8: God as a.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Priest in this world. And we live between.
- 12:47Speaker 8: You know, we live where heaven and earth meet and
- 12:51Speaker 8: and and you know, it's like man, we're intimate with
- 12:53Speaker 8: God the Father, but we represent Him in the in
- 12:57Speaker 8: even the ordinary places.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Of everyday life.
- 12:59Speaker 4: So what do we find in Matthew five.
- 13:02Speaker 8: Yeah, so Matthew five, this is a well known passage.
- 13:04Speaker 8: I think for a lot of Christians, you're the salt
- 13:09Speaker 8: of the earth.
- 13:09Speaker 6: Jesus says, he says, you're the light of the world.
- 13:13Speaker 8: And I think this is getting back to that idea
- 13:15Speaker 8: of you know, we live again where heaven and earth meet,
- 13:21Speaker 8: and there's you know, when you think about priest in
- 13:25Speaker 8: the context of salt and light, priests have this unique calling.
- 13:30Speaker 6: It's a vocation.
- 13:31Speaker 8: Really, we don't use that word, I don't think enough
- 13:34Speaker 8: in Christian circles, but we have a vocation and vocation
- 13:38Speaker 8: as we stand in two directions. Again, it's like men,
- 13:41Speaker 8: we're drawing near to God, but we also represent God
- 13:45Speaker 8: to people. So we must, you know, live among people.
- 13:47Speaker 8: In order to be salt and light. We've got to
- 13:51Speaker 8: live among people, not hidden in church buildings. But but
- 13:54Speaker 8: you know, the everyday places where we step can become
- 13:57Speaker 8: holy ground. And I think that's related the heart of
- 14:00Speaker 8: this question of how do we live.
- 14:04Speaker 4: So yesterday we talked about how this is not optional.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Every believer is involved in this, and is what is
- 14:16Speaker 4: what did chapter? What is chapter five thirteen through sixteen?
- 14:19Speaker 4: How does it kind of break this down in terms
- 14:22Speaker 4: of what we're emphasizing right now.
- 14:25Speaker 8: Yeah, so the soul of the earth and Jesus talks
- 14:28Speaker 8: about salt. If it loses its saltiness, it can't become salty.
- 14:33Speaker 8: It's not good for anything. And so there is a
- 14:37Speaker 8: preserving nature to the words and the life of the Christian.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Meaning that it's distinct from everything else around it. It
- 14:45Speaker 4: is distinct.
- 14:46Speaker 8: Absolutely, And of course you know the light imagery is
- 14:50Speaker 8: pretty clear and it's pretty consistent throughout scriptures. And he says, look,
- 14:54Speaker 8: you're you're a light through Christ and you and therefore
- 14:59Speaker 8: you can't be hidden, and that's not something that gets
- 15:02Speaker 8: covered up.
- 15:03Speaker 6: And so.
- 15:05Speaker 8: I think the idea, really, Kevin, the heart of it
- 15:07Speaker 8: for us in this conversation is a reflection of God's
- 15:10Speaker 8: character in this world. There's a great faithful woman of
- 15:15Speaker 8: God who's a part of our church family.
- 15:19Speaker 6: And she said to me a while back about who
- 15:23Speaker 6: we are as.
- 15:24Speaker 8: A people, and I think this could be extrapolated to
- 15:26Speaker 8: greater Christianity, she said. She said, we model a healthy,
- 15:31Speaker 8: thriving society to the world as a church, and so
- 15:36Speaker 8: she was so excited about new visitors coming into our
- 15:39Speaker 8: church and you know, new families coming in, and she's excited.
- 15:42Speaker 8: She said, there's something about who we are as Christians that.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Should model not only the.
- 15:48Speaker 8: Message of eternal life, but the message of a better life.
- 15:51Speaker 8: That there's this idea that yes, there's a saltiness that
- 15:54Speaker 8: comes with us, there's a sense of light that comes
- 15:57Speaker 8: with the Christian and all of this is intended to
- 16:01Speaker 8: do what that God would be seen through us. John
- 16:05Speaker 8: Stott's one of my heroes, and Stott, you know.
- 16:08Speaker 9: Talks about jesus disciples being being distinctive so that the
- 16:16Speaker 9: world may see God through that now and he talks
- 16:20Speaker 9: about how Christians should make God visible by the quality
- 16:24Speaker 9: of their lives.
- 16:24Speaker 8: I think that's at the heart of this salt and
- 16:26Speaker 8: light image that Jesus gives us well.
- 16:30Speaker 4: And so thinking from a practical standpoint, there's probably a
- 16:36Speaker 4: thousand ways a day that we could apply that.
- 16:40Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I think there's you know, there's certainly
- 16:43Speaker 8: a sense of influence that comes through integrity, and that's
- 16:46Speaker 8: classic and it doesn't go out of style. I think
- 16:52Speaker 8: the call to integrity for us as Christians can't be overlooked,
- 16:57Speaker 8: and there is there is an aspect of that, but
- 16:59Speaker 8: even is beyond words. It's just a matter of presence.
- 17:03Speaker 8: It's a matter of character that's obvious to you know,
- 17:07Speaker 8: the people in our neighborhoods, and the people in the workplace,
- 17:09Speaker 8: and the people in the school community, whatever the situation
- 17:12Speaker 8: might be.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Well when they when they think of what a believer
- 17:16Speaker 4: should be. And this isn't said to guilt people who
- 17:19Speaker 4: are listening, because look, we're all sinners. That's how we
- 17:23Speaker 4: got into the club. Right now. There will be those
- 17:25Speaker 4: that will say, oh, well, there, he's just one of
- 17:27Speaker 4: those Christian guys, you know, you know, he's just gonna
- 17:30Speaker 4: guilt me. But when there's genuine searching for an answer,
- 17:35Speaker 4: when there's genuine seeking for truth, we want to be
- 17:38Speaker 4: the place where those people turn so that we can
- 17:41Speaker 4: point them to that source of truth.
- 17:43Speaker 6: That's well said, man, you know.
- 17:45Speaker 8: And I wonder also, Kevin, if I wonder how we
- 17:48Speaker 8: think about ourselves as followers of Jesus. I wonder how
- 17:52Speaker 8: each person who's even listening right now, your audience thinks
- 17:55Speaker 8: about you know, do we think of ourselves as a
- 17:58Speaker 8: royal priestthood. That's not really something that's really common for
- 18:02Speaker 8: a lot of evangelical Christians. You might end up thinking
- 18:06Speaker 8: of yourself, like, you know, as an accountant or a
- 18:08Speaker 8: teacher or a nurse or whatever you do.
- 18:11Speaker 6: And those things are true.
- 18:13Speaker 8: But if you belong to Jesus, what Peter is saying
- 18:16Speaker 8: to us, and what Jesus is saying to us at
- 18:18Speaker 8: Matthew five, is that you're part of something even more significant, right, You're.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Part of this royal priesthood.
- 18:24Speaker 8: And so when you walk into your workplace, when you
- 18:26Speaker 8: walk into your neighborhood, we remember that we're not just
- 18:29Speaker 8: going to work, We are being sent and we carry
- 18:33Speaker 8: the presence of Christ in the places that that He
- 18:37Speaker 8: desires longs to make himself known. And yeah, there is
- 18:42Speaker 8: a sense that, like you know, our neighbors man, the gracious,
- 18:49Speaker 8: faithful life that we live before them is critical and
- 18:54Speaker 8: that only comes, as you said, through the spirit of
- 18:57Speaker 8: God regenerating these degenerates lives over the course of time.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and and that still need to be worked on
- 19:06Speaker 4: every day, you know, And I think so often my
- 19:10Speaker 4: pastor says this regularly. You know, we in our own power,
- 19:13Speaker 4: we wake up and we think, oh, we're gonna, We're
- 19:14Speaker 4: gonna do it right today, We're gonna and then before
- 19:17Speaker 4: our feet have hit the ground, we've already blown it. Uh,
- 19:22Speaker 4: when the kids are screaming at each other, and then whatever.
- 19:25Speaker 4: But so here, here's the thing. And Tony Evans used
- 19:27Speaker 4: to say this a lot, and I always appreciated the
- 19:30Speaker 4: fervor with which he would say it. But the the
- 19:34Speaker 4: identity of who we are, the Christian aspect of of
- 19:37Speaker 4: who and what we are, is the subject. Everything else
- 19:42Speaker 4: is the adjective. Everything else is the Everything else is
- 19:46Speaker 4: the what we do. It's the verb, it's the it's
- 19:48Speaker 4: the descriptor, it's the other things. But the core, the
- 19:53Speaker 4: basis of who we are and what we.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Are that is.
- 19:56Speaker 4: That is what we are as a Christian. We are
- 19:58Speaker 4: in Christ. And because of that, we do accounting a
- 20:02Speaker 4: certain way, we do broadcasting a certain way, we do
- 20:07Speaker 4: cashiering a certain way. Whatever our trade, whatever our marketable
- 20:12Speaker 4: skills are, we are first and foremost His And that's
- 20:16Speaker 4: the identity and that's the identity that we should carry
- 20:18Speaker 4: into the marketplace with us. That's what it means to
- 20:22Speaker 4: be a priest as a believer in Friends, I hope
- 20:25Speaker 4: this is challenging you as we zip through. These first
- 20:29Speaker 4: two days have gone so fast, Greg, I have I'm
- 20:31Speaker 4: sad that we're going to only have three sessions left
- 20:34Speaker 4: this week, but thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Tomorrow we'll look at what it means how it affects
- 20:39Speaker 4: our speech, which I think is also very important, so
- 20:42Speaker 4: we'll look forward to that. But thank you again.
- 20:44Speaker 6: Oh you're welcome.
- 20:45Speaker 8: I'm enjoying the conversation with you.
- 20:47Speaker 4: You got it. Kevin mccallaugh coming back from New York.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Lots to get to. Don't go anywhere.
- 20:50Speaker 10: Let's stick around for more of that, Kevin. Next here
- 21:12Speaker 10: he is from New York. That Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Welcome back, Kevin mccallaugh. Glad have you with us, and
- 21:22Speaker 4: grateful to have Michael Woolworth with us, because while we
- 21:26Speaker 4: talk about getting Bibles to people, we also want to
- 21:30Speaker 4: use the Bible to help determine how we live in
- 21:33Speaker 4: a day in which sometimes the culture is hostile towards
- 21:36Speaker 4: the Bible. But Michael, when you were with us in
- 21:38Speaker 4: the opening, you were talking about the story of a
- 21:41Speaker 4: man named Meng, and I want you to have plenty
- 21:44Speaker 4: of time to explain what that was.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Yeah, And as I do that, may I say thanks
- 21:48Speaker 7: to people like Barbara of Brooklyn who said I'm in
- 21:51Speaker 7: at thirteen Bibles. Lyle of New York City said, Michael, Kevin,
- 21:55Speaker 7: call me in a one hundred dollars tax deductible gift
- 21:57Speaker 7: to put Bibles into the empty waiting hands of twenty
- 22:00Speaker 7: believers that we know around the world. And Kevin, that's
- 22:03Speaker 7: how it gets done today. It's every call, with every click,
- 22:07Speaker 7: and we want to do that ultimately for just north
- 22:09Speaker 7: of ten thousand believers that we know by name at Bible.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:12Speaker 7: The story of Meing, twelve years of age, living just
- 22:15Speaker 7: outside of Beijing, China. As I mentioned, her father a Confucianist,
- 22:19Speaker 7: a commercial fisherman, her mother a tailor, a bitter atheist
- 22:23Speaker 7: right Desiring a better life for Youngming, they wanted her
- 22:26Speaker 7: to learn English as a second language. They saw this
- 22:28Speaker 7: offered at a community center. It turns out that was
- 22:31Speaker 7: a local evangelical church partnering with Bible League to use
- 22:35Speaker 7: this Bible League program that we've had for about four
- 22:37Speaker 7: decades now, and in her case she would learn English
- 22:40Speaker 7: as a second language, So Kevin, she goes week after week.
- 22:43Speaker 7: This program is offered by caring believers, right, who are
- 22:47Speaker 7: able to answer questions about the Bible. The Bible is
- 22:50Speaker 7: the source of those reading assignments. And I can tell
- 22:52Speaker 7: you about eight weeks into that program, young Meing would
- 22:55Speaker 7: go home in a very very enthusiastic way talking about
- 22:59Speaker 7: her new Lord and Savior. Right, she had become a believer.
- 23:02Speaker 7: And again both in Mandarin in English, you would talk
- 23:05Speaker 7: about Jesus. I can tell you her father, a Confucianist,
- 23:10Speaker 7: turned on to the hope of the Gospel.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:12Speaker 7: He and Ming are now part of the House Church movement.
- 23:15Speaker 7: But the mother, a bitter atheist, wants nothing to do
- 23:18Speaker 7: with Christianity. You've got this audio clip from Micah colleague Esther.
- 23:23Speaker 7: She talks about it's a crime to evangelized children under
- 23:27Speaker 7: the age of eighteen in China. But again, Bible League,
- 23:30Speaker 7: by the grace of God, has been able to be
- 23:32Speaker 7: creative over again four decades and provide English as a
- 23:35Speaker 7: second language. This is Esther, and she is in Communist China.
- 23:39Speaker 11: We cannot preach to children under eighteen. That is the
- 23:43Speaker 11: practice and law. But when the parents bring kids to
- 23:46Speaker 11: the church, when you can teach them English and then
- 23:50Speaker 11: you can send the gift of gospel to them, it
- 23:53Speaker 11: is a great joy.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you.
- 23:54Speaker 7: I tell you where the story of Ming and her
- 23:56Speaker 7: father go. So they Kevin, they joined the House Church movement.
- 23:59Speaker 2: There.
- 23:59Speaker 7: These are congregations that refuse to register with the government.
- 24:04Speaker 7: When you do that, you're monitored. They give you a
- 24:06Speaker 7: sanitized Bible that essentially strips Jesus of his deity. And
- 24:11Speaker 7: they're again part of this house church movement. Their pastor
- 24:14Speaker 7: is a man by the name of Katsu. We've talked
- 24:15Speaker 7: about him before. But Kevin, at the end of these services,
- 24:20Speaker 7: there may be two hundred adults in that congregation and
- 24:23Speaker 7: two Mandarin language Bibles. I've not been there. I've not
- 24:26Speaker 7: seen this with my own eyes, but my colleague esther
- 24:29Speaker 7: that was there. She said, Michael, people will stay after
- 24:31Speaker 7: the worship service. Again, there may be two Mandarin language bibles.
- 24:34Speaker 7: They will they will painstakingly be handwriting scriptures from that
- 24:39Speaker 7: Bible in the Mandarin language. Again, that's how desperate they
- 24:42Speaker 7: are to have something to take into their week to
- 24:44Speaker 7: grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus and Kevin.
- 24:47Speaker 7: I've got a Chinese Bible in my studio here with me.
- 24:50Speaker 7: I can tell you that the Christians that we're talking
- 24:52Speaker 7: about today would give absolutely anything. They'd give their left
- 24:56Speaker 7: arm for what we're talking about today. And again that's
- 24:59Speaker 7: why we're here doing this kingdom business. So for young
- 25:02Speaker 7: men her father Dai Ku, they would love to have
- 25:05Speaker 7: a Bible. And again, two hundred other families in that
- 25:08Speaker 7: House church movement there just outside of Beijing, China, again
- 25:12Speaker 7: would give their left arm for what we're talking about today.
- 25:15Speaker 4: So I just want to challenge you, if you're someone
- 25:18Speaker 4: who deeply values and loves scripture, imagine the angst you
- 25:24Speaker 4: would have if you were suddenly without it, and then
- 25:27Speaker 4: multiply that times. Two hundred people in a church that
- 25:32Speaker 4: has no access to them. Can't go down to the
- 25:34Speaker 4: Walgreens and buy one off the bookshelf, can't just order
- 25:38Speaker 4: one off of the Sam's Club or Walmart website or Amazon.
- 25:41Speaker 4: It doesn't these things don't exist where they are. But
- 25:45Speaker 4: for one thousand dollars, just a single gift of one
- 25:48Speaker 4: thousand dollars, all two hundred people could have a Bible
- 25:52Speaker 4: supplied in their language, in their hands, in their home,
- 25:55Speaker 4: in their life. Why is that significant, Well, because, as
- 25:59Speaker 4: I've mentioned for equently in this discussion, the people at
- 26:03Speaker 4: Bible League have tracked a statistic since the very beginning
- 26:07Speaker 4: of their work eighty eight years ago, and not for
- 26:10Speaker 4: a decade, either two decades or just a few decades,
- 26:13Speaker 4: but for eighty eight years they have been able to
- 26:17Speaker 4: trace that up to twelve people per Bible have come
- 26:21Speaker 4: to faith in Jesus because of each Bible that goes out.
- 26:25Speaker 4: So when you're talking about two hundred people getting Bibles
- 26:29Speaker 4: and eventually reaching twelve individuals a piece for the cause
- 26:34Speaker 4: of the Gospel, you're talking about massive expansion of the
- 26:37Speaker 4: knowledge of Jesus's salvation for them. And I would just
- 26:40Speaker 4: encourage you to throw gas on that fire, keep the
- 26:44Speaker 4: flame lit, and allow the Gospel to do its work.
- 26:47Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred yes word,
- 26:51Speaker 4: one eight hundred yes word, or go to that kevinshow
- 26:54Speaker 4: dot com and click the Bible League banner that's at
- 26:57Speaker 4: the top of the page. Now, if you call or
- 26:59Speaker 4: if you go online, either way. It shouldn't take more
- 27:02Speaker 4: than just a couple of minutes to give your information.
- 27:04Speaker 4: But when you do call, when you do give, ask
- 27:07Speaker 4: yourself the question how many people do I want to
- 27:10Speaker 4: reach for Jesus? Because really that's the test. It's not
- 27:14Speaker 4: just how many Bibles you can send, it's how many
- 27:16Speaker 4: ultimately do you want to see coming to faith in Jesus. Well,
- 27:19Speaker 4: here's how it works. You take your monetary money that's available,
- 27:24Speaker 4: you divide it by five dollars. That's the number of
- 27:27Speaker 4: bibles that you'll be sending out to know the number
- 27:29Speaker 4: of people that you'll reach. Multiply that number of bibles
- 27:32Speaker 4: times twelve, and that's eventually how many will come to faith.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Because you made this gift today, don't delay, don't wait.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Someone's eternity is hanging in the balance because of it.
- 27:42Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred ye s
- 27:46Speaker 4: word or go to that Kevinshow dot com, that kevinshow
- 27:49Speaker 4: dot com, all one word that kevinshow dot com and
- 27:53Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner on the homepage.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Here he is from New York. That Kevin McCullough.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Glad to have you with us. It's that Kevin Show
- 28:21Speaker 4: that Kevinshow dot Com and very glad to have Michael
- 28:24Speaker 4: Woolworth back with us as well as we are telling
- 28:27Speaker 4: people that this is the opportunity right now to see
- 28:30Speaker 4: to it that the Bible gets into the hands of
- 28:33Speaker 4: people who are desperate. They want a copy of God's Word.
- 28:37Speaker 4: But here's the challenge. There are none available. And Michael
- 28:41Speaker 4: woolworths we've highlighted a little bit. There's kind of a
- 28:45Speaker 4: variety of reasons why they may fall into that category,
- 28:48Speaker 4: and it could be everything from whether to politics, to
- 28:51Speaker 4: wars to economic circumstances. But the point is everyone that
- 28:56Speaker 4: receives a Bible League Bible all fit that description. They
- 28:59Speaker 4: desperately want one and they don't have access to one.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Well, we just covered a story from China, right, I
- 29:05Speaker 7: mean the government there wants to be everything to its people.
- 29:07Speaker 7: They have come down hard. You know, they're firewall there.
- 29:12Speaker 7: You know it's impossible to go on and order a Bible.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Right.
- 29:15Speaker 7: You go into a bookshop, you can't find a Bible.
- 29:17Speaker 10: Right.
- 29:17Speaker 7: You find plenty of books on Buddhism and Confucianism, right,
- 29:22Speaker 7: but not on Christianity. So again, for those and other reasons, Kevin.
- 29:25Speaker 7: I mean, we're doing for these believers today what they
- 29:27Speaker 7: really cannot do for themselves, and that is to put
- 29:30Speaker 7: their hands on the precious Word of God. Today, let
- 29:34Speaker 7: me just say thanks to people like Warren of Queens
- 29:36Speaker 7: who said, I'm in at a dozen bibles. Marie of
- 29:39Speaker 7: Newark said, Michael, Kevin, count me in a fifty dollars
- 29:41Speaker 7: gift today to put bibles into the waiting hands of
- 29:44Speaker 7: ten believers. And again, we ultimately want to do this
- 29:47Speaker 7: for just north of ten thousand, ten thousand, eight hundred
- 29:51Speaker 7: believers that we know by name at the Bible League.
- 29:54Speaker 7: And again it happens with every call and with every
- 29:56Speaker 7: clique today.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Kevin one eight hundred yes word is the number one,
- 30:00Speaker 4: eight hundred yees word. Or go online to that kevinshow
- 30:05Speaker 4: dot com and click the banner at the top of
- 30:07Speaker 4: the page. The Bible League banner takes you directly to
- 30:10Speaker 4: the giving page and you can be as generous as
- 30:13Speaker 4: you can. We're just getting started. The goal is ten
- 30:16Speaker 4: thousand bibles. It's a lot of bibles, but I believe
- 30:18Speaker 4: that we can do this and ultimately, Michael, that miracle
- 30:22Speaker 4: multiplier is going to mean that those ten thousand Bibles
- 30:27Speaker 4: end up reaching about one hundred and twenty thousand people
- 30:30Speaker 4: for the cause of the Gospel.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Yeah, we can say with confidency of Bible League after
- 30:33Speaker 7: nearly nine decades in ministry, that on average, you know,
- 30:36Speaker 7: a Bible reaches a dozen people. Somebody comes to saving
- 30:40Speaker 7: faith on the heels of a twelve week Bible study
- 30:43Speaker 7: with Bible League, and we provide them a Bible in
- 30:45Speaker 7: their own language at a level they can understand. Then
- 30:47Speaker 7: they'll say to others in their village, look, I've got
- 30:49Speaker 7: a Bible. Come, let's read and grow as believers.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Together.
- 30:53Speaker 7: They'll introduce others to the hope of the Gospel. But
- 30:55Speaker 7: again with confidence, we can say, on average a dozen
- 30:58Speaker 7: people impacted with every Bible. And so you know, be
- 31:02Speaker 7: a part of this today. It happens for the princely
- 31:04Speaker 7: sum of only five dollars a Bible. And I do
- 31:07Speaker 7: want to take you to Venezuela here in a moment.
- 31:09Speaker 7: You know, Kevin, what you and I are doing today
- 31:11Speaker 7: is simply taking listeners around the world. You know, it's
- 31:14Speaker 7: fifty Bibles here, one thousand there, five hundred over here.
- 31:17Speaker 7: It's unmet Bible needs and our prayers that you don't
- 31:20Speaker 7: merely say Okay, that's an interesting story, or yes, what
- 31:23Speaker 7: a difficult part of the world.
- 31:24Speaker 2: To live out your faith.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Take that empathy a step further today, become a Bible
- 31:28Speaker 7: center to get it happens, and only five dollars a Bible.
- 31:31Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred yes word,
- 31:33Speaker 4: or that kevinshow dot com the Bible League banner on
- 31:38Speaker 4: the homepage of that kevinshow dot com. Where are we
- 31:41Speaker 4: going next, Michael.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Well, let me take it to Venezuela.
- 31:43Speaker 7: I know, fresh in our minds both of those earthquakes
- 31:46Speaker 7: that hit just outside of Caracas, the capitol and Venezuela
- 31:49Speaker 7: only what a few weeks ago. I think they're still
- 31:52Speaker 7: trying to tell you how many people who have died,
- 31:54Speaker 7: have been injured, displaced, and still unaccounted for. But that's
- 31:58Speaker 7: the setting for the next story. I've got a clip
- 32:00Speaker 7: from my colleague by the name of RAFAELI talks about,
- 32:03Speaker 7: you know, what Christians are off and up against in
- 32:05Speaker 7: a place where the drug cartel rules the day. And again, Kevin,
- 32:09Speaker 7: here in America, what do we have religious freedom? We've
- 32:11Speaker 7: got loss on the books right for the most part,
- 32:14Speaker 7: we can minister. We can worship, right, we can share
- 32:16Speaker 7: our faith with others without you know, being beaten to
- 32:19Speaker 7: a pope if you will, or jail. But it is
- 32:21Speaker 7: an entirely different level. In places like Venezuela.
- 32:25Speaker 12: In Latin America, there are violence. Only rich people have safety,
- 32:30Speaker 12: has security. Poor neighborhoods are full of corruption, full of misery,
- 32:36Speaker 12: a full of poverty, and criminals are almost in at
- 32:41Speaker 12: home when they are in the streets. Pastors and Christian
- 32:46Speaker 12: workers face with that problems. Attackers, draws, thieves, gangs. So
- 32:54Speaker 12: that's the problem.
- 32:56Speaker 7: Well, that's a big problem in and when you have
- 32:58Speaker 7: to encounter violence and carrying out ministry. But Kevin, the
- 33:01Speaker 7: drug cartel kind of runs the show down there. They
- 33:04Speaker 7: will funnel a lot of drugs through a prostitution rings.
- 33:07Speaker 7: How do they create those prostitution rings? They force women,
- 33:11Speaker 7: girls as young as eleven, twelve, thirteen years of age
- 33:14Speaker 7: into this prostitution. These women live in absolute, utter hopelessness. Right,
- 33:18Speaker 7: But there was a church in that area that said, look,
- 33:21Speaker 7: we've got to do something about it. They worked with
- 33:23Speaker 7: another ministry to be able to learn to forcibly rescue
- 33:27Speaker 7: these women. Bring him to a place of safety. They've
- 33:30Speaker 7: learned to do that very very well. But they work
- 33:32Speaker 7: with biblely to be able to introduce these women once
- 33:35Speaker 7: they're brought to a place of safety, to the hope
- 33:37Speaker 7: of the Gospel and listen, Kevin. They've paid an incredible price.
- 33:41Speaker 7: One of the members of that church, in the course
- 33:42Speaker 7: of a rescue, was murdered by the drug cartel. They
- 33:45Speaker 7: dragged his corpse behind a truck down one of the
- 33:48Speaker 7: small main streets just outside of Caracas, Venezuela. They were
- 33:52Speaker 7: trying to send a message, don't mess with the drug cartel.
- 33:56Speaker 7: But this church days squarely focused on what they believe
- 33:58Speaker 7: God has called them to do. Tell you, by the
- 34:01Speaker 7: grace of God and through the gumption of this local
- 34:03Speaker 7: church again, just miles from the earthquake that hit down
- 34:07Speaker 7: there near Krakos, one hundred and twenty women have been
- 34:10Speaker 7: brought to safety. They've been brought to saving faith. They're
- 34:13Speaker 7: new creations in Christ, Kevin. They're ready to begin a
- 34:16Speaker 7: new life free from all of that oppression. Right, but again,
- 34:20Speaker 7: they need the precious word of God in the Spanish language,
- 34:23Speaker 7: so I could say I am grateful for churches willing
- 34:26Speaker 7: to pay a price to put their lives on the
- 34:28Speaker 7: line to see people brought to again a place of safety,
- 34:31Speaker 7: but also to a place of new life in Christ.
- 34:33Speaker 7: And it's why we've gathered today to send the precious
- 34:36Speaker 7: Word of God at places like Caracas, Venezuela.
- 34:40Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred y e
- 34:43Speaker 4: s word is how you called to make that gift.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Or you can go to that kevinshow dot com and
- 34:49Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner. It's at the top of
- 34:51Speaker 4: the page that kevinshow dot com. Click the banner at
- 34:54Speaker 4: the top of the page. It shouldn't take you more
- 34:56Speaker 4: than a couple of minutes, and friends, that miracle multiplier.
- 35:00Speaker 4: For every copy you send out up to twelve people
- 35:04Speaker 4: are most likely going to come to faith in Jesus
- 35:06Speaker 4: because of that. It's just such an encouraging thing, one
- 35:09Speaker 4: of the most sure ways that we can do it.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Ninety years of evidence says so one eight hundred yes
- 35:15Speaker 4: word one eight hundred yees WRD or go online to

- 35:34Speaker 4: stories from the Bible League and what we're doing in
- 35:36Speaker 4: recent broadcasts. But most importantly, you can give through that
- 35:41Speaker 4: banner at the top of the homepage that Kevinshow dot
- 35:43Speaker 4: com or one eight hundred yes word one eight hundred
- 35:46Speaker 4: yes words.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Stick around for.
- 35:52Speaker 13: More of that Kevin on our next time.
- 36:06Speaker 14: Serving it up with a no Dream minim It's that
- 36:10Speaker 14: cabinet of the show.
- 36:13Speaker 15: I am Lisdath. I am ten years old and live
- 36:16Speaker 15: in Peru with my mom and sisters. My dad died
- 36:20Speaker 15: last year. We would like a Bible to read every
- 36:23Speaker 15: day when we wake up.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Thank you Lizabeth in her wonderfully almost totally pure English,
- 36:30Speaker 4: but telling the story of what she and her mom
- 36:33Speaker 4: are dealing with. And I know that for myself. Friends,
- 36:37Speaker 4: when I've had some of the darkest times of life
- 36:40Speaker 4: visited upon us, it has been through the pages of
- 36:43Speaker 4: Scripture that I have been most encouraged and I have
- 36:46Speaker 4: grown through those seasons, even though they have had sometimes
- 36:50Speaker 4: very sad or very dark chapters. Michael Woolworth as we
- 36:53Speaker 4: round out this hour. That is the great gift that
- 36:56Speaker 4: we're giving everyone. We're not machines, live the same every day.
- 37:02Speaker 4: We have good days, we have bad days. The Word
- 37:04Speaker 4: of God, though, is there for every day and it
- 37:07Speaker 4: does give us that encouragement to keep going.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Well.
- 37:09Speaker 7: When you know the phone phone's are a little like Kevin,
- 37:12Speaker 7: you bring out the big guns in the form of
- 37:14Speaker 7: ten year old Elizabeth. Right with that, how about that
- 37:17Speaker 7: wonderful plea right, let me tell you about the man
- 37:19Speaker 7: that reached her. Carlo and I tener at Pastor in
- 37:21Speaker 7: the Andyes Mountains. You know this woman, this young Gala
- 37:25Speaker 7: Elizabeth lives in the country of Peru. Her father died
- 37:28Speaker 7: about a year ago. She mentioned that in the clip right,
- 37:30Speaker 7: it was ill never recovered from that that left her
- 37:32Speaker 7: mother a widow with four young daughters. E Lizabeth part
- 37:36Speaker 7: of the mix there at ten years of age, right,
- 37:37Speaker 7: And she's not asking for our pity today, She's simply saying,
- 37:40Speaker 7: what you know about the gun who loves us? And
- 37:42Speaker 7: so that pastor has Carlo has been beaten by warlocks,
- 37:47Speaker 7: male witches right, who have fiercely opposed the gospel. He's
- 37:51Speaker 7: fallen one hundred feet in the andyes, mountains, been robbed
- 37:53Speaker 7: of everything in his possession. But again he does all
- 37:55Speaker 7: of this to the glory of God and to reach
- 37:58Speaker 7: precious families like that of young Elizabeth. And so you know,
- 38:01Speaker 7: we're grateful for people like Carlo and Kevin. We're grateful
- 38:04Speaker 7: for people like Mariam of the Bronx who said I'm
- 38:08Speaker 7: in I want to bless people like young Elizabeth with
- 38:10Speaker 7: God's word. Today Steven of New York City said, Michael, Kevin,
- 38:13Speaker 7: count me in at a dozen Bibles. And so again,
- 38:16Speaker 7: what you and I are doing, Kevin is just really
- 38:19Speaker 7: drilling down different parts of the world. I love to say,
- 38:22Speaker 7: no passport, require no jet lag tomorrow morning, right, But
- 38:25Speaker 7: to give you a glimpse into what God is doing
- 38:27Speaker 7: in all of this, pointing to what our ultimate goal
- 38:30Speaker 7: as we've joined together to bless just north of ten
- 38:33Speaker 7: thousand waiting believers, a couple of those as we go
- 38:36Speaker 7: to break here. Rohan and India, a former Hindu when
- 38:40Speaker 7: he became a believer, radicalized Hindus at his village beat
- 38:44Speaker 7: him nearly to death. And more than anything, he's praying
- 38:46Speaker 7: for a Bible. Luis is in Ecuador, neighboring to Perud
- 38:50Speaker 7: there one of those again, another one of those reached
- 38:52Speaker 7: by Pastor Carlo. Now Luis is what as if former
- 38:55Speaker 7: crime boss was part of the drug cartel down there,
- 38:57Speaker 7: did a serious jail time, but he was reached by
- 39:01Speaker 7: Carlo behind prison walls. Today he's a freeman and he
- 39:04Speaker 7: is ministering in that part of the world, praying for
- 39:07Speaker 7: a Bible in the ancient Keechwe language. So again, Kevin,
- 39:10Speaker 7: that's why we're here. It's five dollars a Bible, and
- 39:13Speaker 7: the question remains, how many will you send today?
- 39:16Speaker 4: Well, right now, one eight hundred yes word. You can
- 39:19Speaker 4: call that number and give those bibles one eight hundred
- 39:22Speaker 4: yes word, one eight hundred yees word. Can also give
- 39:26Speaker 4: online at that kevinshow dot com. Click the banner at

- 39:34Speaker 4: the page. But I will just say that what you
- 39:37Speaker 4: give right now will make an absolute difference, because the
- 39:40Speaker 4: one thing that all of the recipients of these Bibles
- 39:44Speaker 4: have in common is that they have a need in
- 39:47Speaker 4: their heart to learn more about Jesus. They have a
- 39:51Speaker 4: desire in their heart and mind and soul in life
- 39:55Speaker 4: to be a more fully devoted follower to him. They
- 39:58Speaker 4: know that scripture is the key to that, and yet
- 40:01Speaker 4: they are That's the one thing they are without. They
- 40:04Speaker 4: may be without a number of other things, but when
- 40:06Speaker 4: it comes to what they need for that relationship to
- 40:10Speaker 4: be turned into a discipleship scenario, they need scripture. They
- 40:15Speaker 4: are desperate for the scripture. They want the scripture, but
- 40:18Speaker 4: they don't have access to it. That's what they all
- 40:20Speaker 4: have in common, and we can we can satisfy that
- 40:24Speaker 4: need today by just going and dialing the number one
- 40:27Speaker 4: eight hundred yes word one eight hundred y e s
- 40:29Speaker 4: w ord or go to that kevinshow dot com, that
- 40:34Speaker 4: kevinshow dot com and click the Bible League banner at
- 40:37Speaker 4: the top of the page. Kevin McCullough coming right back.
- 40:40Speaker 4: I'm going away.

- 41:09Speaker 5: of course, that Kevin.
- 41:10Speaker 6: Show is going to be great.
- 41:11Speaker 2: The only thing that could.
- 41:12Speaker 6: Be greater, of course, would be That Donald Show, but
- 41:14Speaker 6: we don't have that. So we have That Kevin.

- 41:38Speaker 1: some eternity to it, plus practical tips for family life,
- 41:43Speaker 1: spiritual life, and good.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Old regular life.
- 41:47Speaker 1: It's Kevin McCullough Monday through Friday on That Kevin Show
- 41:58Speaker 1: and now from the Connors Sullivan Podcast Studios. A man
- 42:02Speaker 1: who is not what he wants to be, but is
- 42:05Speaker 1: way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Here.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Welcome man, Kevin mccallaugh. Got have you with us, So
- 42:17Speaker 4: grateful to be telling you about in this season, the
- 42:21Speaker 4: incredible work of my very good friends at Bible League
- 42:25Speaker 4: International Bible League. If you're new to That Kevin Show,
- 42:28Speaker 4: if you're new to us being on in your area.
- 42:32Speaker 4: This is a group I've partnered with for a long
- 42:36Speaker 4: long time, just out of New York City, but they
- 42:38Speaker 4: are actually located in Chicago, and even back when I
- 42:41Speaker 4: was a student at Moodie Bible Institute, one hundred and
- 42:43Speaker 4: eighty five years ago. They were doing great things, and
- 42:47Speaker 4: we as students knew about what they were doing, and
- 42:49Speaker 4: a lot of our guys wanted to go work with
- 42:53Speaker 4: them to get Bibles into people's hands around the globe.
- 42:56Speaker 4: That's what they focused on doing. That's what they've done
- 42:59Speaker 4: for eighty eight plays years and faithful to that call
- 43:04Speaker 4: ever since. Michael Woolworth is back with us, and Michael,
- 43:07Speaker 4: as we kick off another hour here, I'm reminded that
- 43:11Speaker 4: we are instructed that people will not know about the
- 43:15Speaker 4: good news of the Gospel if they do not hear
- 43:18Speaker 4: the good news of the Gospel, they will not know
- 43:20Speaker 4: about the amazing gift that Jesus has for them if
- 43:24Speaker 4: we don't speak, if we don't help them have access
- 43:27Speaker 4: to that message. And nothing is more plain about the
- 43:31Speaker 4: good News of Jesus than the text of Scripture itself.
- 43:34Speaker 4: That's how we know that it is a genuine thing,
- 43:39Speaker 4: because this is Jesus's words and revelation and the best
- 43:43Speaker 4: way we have of knowing him personally through his thoughts
- 43:46Speaker 4: and words, and so this is what the Bible has
- 43:50Speaker 4: been crafted by. This is what we seek to put
- 43:53Speaker 4: into the hand of every person who is curious about Christianity,
- 43:56Speaker 4: but beyond that, who wants to deepen their own development
- 44:00Speaker 4: and faith as they grow older and become discipled. So
- 44:05Speaker 4: the Bible plays a critical role in the life of
- 44:08Speaker 4: every person that claims to be a believer in Jesus.
- 44:12Speaker 4: And that's one of the reasons friend, those of you
- 44:14Speaker 4: listening and watching, that's one of the reasons why we
- 44:16Speaker 4: at that Kevin Show have said, this is not only
- 44:20Speaker 4: worth mentioning, it's worth highlighting, it's worth helping with, it's
- 44:23Speaker 4: worth doing everything we can to multiply those Bibles into
- 44:28Speaker 4: the hands of people around the world. And Michael Wilworth
- 44:31Speaker 4: from Bible League, there's lots of reasons why people don't
- 44:34Speaker 4: have Bibles. What are some of the most common ones?
- 44:37Speaker 7: Well, Kevin, you've been a great friend of Bible League
- 44:39Speaker 7: inviting your listening family to be a part of what
- 44:41Speaker 7: God is doing. So thanks for that.
- 44:43Speaker 2: And I wish I had the math.
- 44:44Speaker 7: That's always my regret when you and I get together,
- 44:46Speaker 7: as they don't have the actual math. But I know
- 44:48Speaker 7: it's probably a million believers who had no hope of
- 44:52Speaker 7: a Bible right that grateful to be a part of
- 44:54Speaker 7: the family of God, you know, growing as believers as
- 44:57Speaker 7: they sit under the godly preaching of you know, God's
- 45:00Speaker 7: word from preachers and you know, in the bush of Africa.
- 45:03Speaker 7: You know, maybe in a big bustling city like Beijing,
- 45:06Speaker 7: but how much better when you can open up your
- 45:08Speaker 7: own Bible right and read you know, about the God
- 45:11Speaker 7: who loves you right to understand his will for your life.
- 45:14Speaker 7: And so that's what this listening family has done. And
- 45:17Speaker 7: Kevin is kind of the you know, the host that
- 45:19Speaker 7: calls them to live out who they are in Jesus.
- 45:21Speaker 7: We thank you for that. You know, we have an
- 45:24Speaker 7: ambitious goal to bless just north of ten thousand waiting
- 45:27Speaker 7: believers that we know by name is at Bible League,
- 45:30Speaker 7: and that really should be comfort to you listeners as
- 45:33Speaker 7: we come and we share stories today, you know, fifty
- 45:35Speaker 7: Bibles needed here, a thousand over here, five hundred over
- 45:38Speaker 7: here right that you know, Gods had work in his
- 45:41Speaker 7: world through you know, ministries like Bible League. We're certainly
- 45:44Speaker 7: not the biggest. We haven't been doing it the longest,
- 45:46Speaker 7: but we have had, you know, the blessing of God's
- 45:50Speaker 7: favor to again bring that joy that so many of
- 45:55Speaker 7: us get to experience, right, how deep, how wide, how long,
- 45:57Speaker 7: how high is the love of Christ? Right, We've been
- 45:59Speaker 7: able to experience that in our own lives, and you're
- 46:02Speaker 7: doing that when you provide a Bible to believers even
- 46:05Speaker 7: half a world away. Yeah, Kevin, the question is, you know,
- 46:07Speaker 7: in this age of technology, you know why do so
- 46:10Speaker 7: many Christians go without a Bible? We can tell you
- 46:12Speaker 7: in the regions where we serve of Asia, Africa, the
- 46:16Speaker 7: Middle East, and Latin America that on average, nine of
- 46:18Speaker 7: ten new believers go without a Bible. And you know
- 46:22Speaker 7: that ought to draw your mind maybe to the text
- 46:24Speaker 7: in Psalm one nineteen where you know the Psalmas says, look,
- 46:27Speaker 7: cherish God's word, hide it in your heart. Right, how
- 46:30Speaker 7: do you do that if you've never held it in
- 46:31Speaker 7: your hands? And so you know the reasons for this.
- 46:35Speaker 7: Corrupt governments, you know communists China, the government there wants
- 46:38Speaker 7: to be everything to its people. They do everything they
- 46:41Speaker 7: can to prevent the spread of the Gospel. Places like
- 46:45Speaker 7: the Middle East where majority religions really rule the day. Right,
- 46:48Speaker 7: you know you and I are excited about church growth, Right,
- 46:51Speaker 7: there are forces at work and places like the Middle
- 46:54Speaker 7: East where they don't share in that excitement. Right, there
- 46:56Speaker 7: is remoteness where people don't live near you know, a
- 46:59Speaker 7: Christian bookstore or a discount retailer, or you know in
- 47:02Speaker 7: a place where Amazon dot Com will drop a box
- 47:05Speaker 7: of Bibles into their village. There's poverty, right. If you
- 47:08Speaker 7: make two dollars a day, you know, US dollars, two
- 47:11Speaker 7: dollars a.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Day, you know you can't afford a Bible.
- 47:13Speaker 7: So for those and other reasons, you know, a physical
- 47:16Speaker 7: Bible is still the answer. People do have access to
- 47:20Speaker 7: cell phone technology, but not necessarily the smartphone technology, So again,
- 47:24Speaker 7: a physical Bible is still the answer. And again we
- 47:27Speaker 7: can provide it a Bible League for the princely sum
- 47:30Speaker 7: of only five dollars in Bible. And so, Kevin, that's
- 47:32Speaker 7: why we've joined together. We're not here merely to share
- 47:35Speaker 7: interesting stories or to fill some time. It really is
- 47:38Speaker 7: to put Bibles into the empty waiting hands of again
- 47:42Speaker 7: believers that we know by name, but Bible League all
- 47:45Speaker 7: over the world.
- 47:46Speaker 4: And these are people that that if you were, if
- 47:50Speaker 4: you were to talk to them about the problems that
- 47:53Speaker 4: they face, whether it's government corruption or the banning of
- 47:59Speaker 4: you know, really just expression or whatever whatever the animosity
- 48:05Speaker 4: might be towards Christianity or towards the scriptures themselves. You
- 48:10Speaker 4: won't find them asking for those circumstances to be changed.
- 48:15Speaker 4: They probably would like them to be. They would probably
- 48:18Speaker 4: love to have an acumenical environment where they can read
- 48:21Speaker 4: their Bible and practice their faith alongside other people doing
- 48:25Speaker 4: their thing. But that's not what they ask for. They
- 48:28Speaker 4: ask for scripture so that they can number one, gird
- 48:33Speaker 4: up their own heart with truth and encouragement and be
- 48:36Speaker 4: able to face the stuff that they face, but then
- 48:39Speaker 4: to also be ready to answer the questions that people
- 48:42Speaker 4: around them have about why they live the way they do.
- 48:45Speaker 4: And as we talk about in our how do we
- 48:48Speaker 4: live segment all the time, if we're not about making
- 48:52Speaker 4: disciples that make disciples, that make disciples, we've missed that,
- 48:55Speaker 4: we've missed the purpose of the Gospel. Michael. One of
- 48:57Speaker 4: the ways that I've always been encouraged to hear some
- 49:00Speaker 4: of the stories of some of your colleagues and people
- 49:02Speaker 4: that are in the field. What are we going to
- 49:04Speaker 4: listen to here?
- 49:05Speaker 2: Well, you've got a clip here from my colleague Nick.
- 49:07Speaker 7: You can tell he's a brit Right, goes into a
- 49:09Speaker 7: village in Ethiopia, Kevin, we provided Bibles to a group
- 49:13Speaker 7: of primarily women, who had come to Saving Faith. Some
- 49:15Speaker 7: of these former Muslims rite, and he said, this was
- 49:18Speaker 7: their reaction.
- 49:19Speaker 16: It is hard to describe the joy. We were with
- 49:23Speaker 16: a group of women who were receiving their first Bibles,
- 49:25Speaker 16: and they were dancing around the room with crazy excitement
- 49:29Speaker 16: over and receiving their first Bibles. It was just such
- 49:32Speaker 16: a fun time and it really spoke to their newfound
- 49:37Speaker 16: passion for Jesus.
- 49:39Speaker 7: Well in one of those Kevin that is praying for
- 49:41Speaker 7: a Bible now having been led to Christ by one
- 49:44Speaker 7: of those women who received a Bible right is a
- 49:46Speaker 7: woman by the name of Balani. Raised a strict Muslim
- 49:49Speaker 7: in that Ethiopian village, she was denied in education as
- 49:52Speaker 7: a child, couldn't read, couldn't write, was forced to marry
- 49:55Speaker 7: an older man, a Muslim man that she didn't know,
- 49:58Speaker 7: she didn't love.
- 49:59Speaker 2: The feeling was quite mutual.
- 50:00Speaker 7: He looked at her really as a possession to be owned,
- 50:03Speaker 7: not a person to be loved and nurtured. But she
- 50:06Speaker 7: came to Saving Faith. You would think that her life
- 50:08Speaker 7: got easier. Her husband has begun beating her menting her
- 50:12Speaker 7: community have shunned her. But this is a woman who
- 50:14Speaker 7: yearns or read in her own Bible about the God
- 50:17Speaker 7: who loves her in a fine strength, for the comfort,
- 50:19Speaker 7: for the effort for the journey ahead. Right her life
- 50:22Speaker 7: is not an easy one in a village that's mixed
- 50:24Speaker 7: with both believers and Muslims. But again, Kevin, it's why
- 50:27Speaker 7: we're here today doing this Kingdom business. Put that joy
- 50:30Speaker 7: in the hearts of these waiting believers and give them
- 50:33Speaker 7: strength for the journey today.
- 50:34Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word one eight hundred yes word
- 50:37Speaker 4: or go online to that kevinshow dot com and click
- 50:40Speaker 4: the Bible League banner at the top of the page.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Here he is from New York. Fact Kevin McCullough.
- 51:05Speaker 4: Well, come in, Kevin mccaullaugh, glad to have you with
- 51:07Speaker 4: us that kevinshow dot Com for all things related, including
- 51:12Speaker 4: the way to give Bibles to Bible League to help
- 51:14Speaker 4: those who desperately want a copy of God's Word in
- 51:17Speaker 4: their hand, in their language, in their life to be
- 51:20Speaker 4: able to get one, and especially for those that do
- 51:24Speaker 4: not have access to them. And there's a variety of
- 51:26Speaker 4: reasons why the people that Bible League serve don't have
- 51:29Speaker 4: access to scripture. The main thing that I want you
- 51:32Speaker 4: to get across is that it doesn't matter what the
- 51:35Speaker 4: reason is. If we can help them get a copy
- 51:38Speaker 4: of God's Word, that's the goal. That's what we want
- 51:40Speaker 4: to do because we believe that the power found on
- 51:43Speaker 4: the pages of those Bibles will in fact change lives
- 51:47Speaker 4: for eternity. One eight hundred yes word is the phone number.
- 51:50Speaker 4: One eight hundred ye s word. You can also just
- 51:53Speaker 4: give online at that kevinshow dot com. Click the Bible
- 51:56Speaker 4: League banner at the top of the page. Michael Woolworth
- 51:58Speaker 4: is back with me and Michael it's exciting what we're
- 52:02Speaker 4: doing as we do it every year, and I want
- 52:04Speaker 4: to say thank you to people that do it year
- 52:06Speaker 4: after year because we have some people in that category.
- 52:09Speaker 4: But it is it is amazing to me to see
- 52:12Speaker 4: how far these Bibles go, to see who all they reach,
- 52:16Speaker 4: to hear the stories of how many people come to
- 52:18Speaker 4: faith in Christ just because one copy of the Scriptures
- 52:20Speaker 4: went somewhere. I mean, it's truly one of the most
- 52:22Speaker 4: exciting things I get to do each year.
- 52:24Speaker 7: Well, you know, seeing people reached around the globe in
- 52:27Speaker 7: the name of Christ. It's what we pray for. Right,
- 52:29Speaker 7: It's a regular part of my prayer list, Kevin, that
- 52:31Speaker 7: you know we would see the Gospel take rip people
- 52:34Speaker 7: following all the isms of the world you've heard about
- 52:37Speaker 7: on that Kevin show. Right, as we've talked about people
- 52:40Speaker 7: leaving those isms, embracing Christianity and wanting to grow in
- 52:43Speaker 7: the grace and knowledge of Jesus. That's a natural progression
- 52:47Speaker 7: that happens. The Holy Spirit comes and implants that joy.
- 52:50Speaker 16: Right.
- 52:51Speaker 7: But you know, Kevin, to think that wherever you know
- 52:53Speaker 7: you're listening today, though you know, the greater New York
- 52:55Speaker 7: City area, somewhere in the US, right, you get to
- 52:57Speaker 7: share in that joy for the princely sum of only
- 53:00Speaker 7: five dollars a Bible, you know, I think about doesn't
- 53:02Speaker 7: matter if you're in New York City, you're in the
- 53:03Speaker 7: bush of Africa.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 53:05Speaker 7: What does the enemy do in the day to day
- 53:07Speaker 7: of walking with Christ? Right, I mean we're hit with
- 53:09Speaker 7: what certainly you know, what the enemy does is what
- 53:12Speaker 7: rushes us, worries us, right, condemns us. But when you
- 53:16Speaker 7: open the pages of Scripture as a follower of Christ,
- 53:18Speaker 7: God working through his word, what happens there's a sense
- 53:22Speaker 7: of calmness that comes. Right, there's direction, there's conviction we're needed. Right,
- 53:28Speaker 7: But again, there is this calmness that comes when you
- 53:30Speaker 7: open the pages of scripture, you understand God's will for
- 53:33Speaker 7: your life, you claim those promises that belong to us
- 53:37Speaker 7: as His followers.
- 53:38Speaker 16: Right.
- 53:39Speaker 2: And so again doesn't matter.
- 53:40Speaker 7: Where you're listening today, deep in the bush of Africa,
- 53:42Speaker 7: somewhere in you know, New York City, or wherever, right,
- 53:45Speaker 7: you need to be able to do that. But again,
- 53:47Speaker 7: this is what we pray for. It's happening, and what
- 53:49Speaker 7: almost a relief, right to take just a brief pause
- 53:53Speaker 7: from the headlines of the day to be reminded, Kevin,
- 53:55Speaker 7: that God truly is at work and we get to
- 53:58Speaker 7: be a part of it. From wherever you're listening today.
- 54:00Speaker 4: One eight hundred Yes, word is how you do that?
- 54:02Speaker 4: Right now? It's five dollars a copy. There are ten
- 54:06Speaker 4: thousand copies of God's Word that we need to send out.
- 54:09Speaker 4: And I just would ask you, what can you do?
- 54:12Speaker 4: How can you help? And understand this? For every copy
- 54:15Speaker 4: that leaves the Bible League domain, every copy of the
- 54:20Speaker 4: scripture that they send out now, not for five years,
- 54:24Speaker 4: not for ten years, not for twenty forty fifty, sixty seventy,
- 54:28Speaker 4: but for more than eighty eight years, they have been
- 54:32Speaker 4: able to track a statistic that more than twelve people
- 54:35Speaker 4: are around twelve people come to faith in Jesus for
- 54:38Speaker 4: every copy of the Scripture that they have sent out.
- 54:40Speaker 4: So this is an amazing, amazingly effective way of sharing
- 54:45Speaker 4: the gospel. Even if you feel like I'm not a
- 54:48Speaker 4: very good speaker, or you know, my interpersonal skills are terrible,
- 54:53Speaker 4: that's okay, you can still share the Gospel by sending
- 54:56Speaker 4: a Bible, because that's exactly what happens when these Bible
- 54:59Speaker 4: Leagues Bibles get out there one eight hundred yes word,
- 55:02Speaker 4: one eight hundred yees word or go to that kevinshow
- 55:06Speaker 4: dot com and click the banner at the top of
- 55:08Speaker 4: the page. Now, Michael, one of the things that is
- 55:12Speaker 4: so powerful is to hear the impact of what Bible
- 55:15Speaker 4: League does.
- 55:16Speaker 5: Well.
- 55:16Speaker 7: It's incumbent upon us. Not merely to say, hey, let's
- 55:18Speaker 7: send ten thousand Bibles. We want to give you specific
- 55:21Speaker 7: examples of Christians who were waiting for the precious Word
- 55:25Speaker 7: have gone today. I want to take you to Albania
- 55:27Speaker 7: in the southeast to Europe.
- 55:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 55:30Speaker 7: You know, this is a place that's been around for
- 55:31Speaker 7: a while. If you remember Paul, he talked about, hey,
- 55:33Speaker 7: we preached the Gospel from a Jerusalem tell to Lyconium.
- 55:37Speaker 7: That is modern day Albania. This place has been around
- 55:40Speaker 7: for a long time. Today, Kevin, though it is essentially
- 55:44Speaker 7: about two percent of the population is Christian, the balance
- 55:47Speaker 7: primarily Sunni Muslims. My colleague Anton, who went into that country, said, look, Michael,
- 55:53Speaker 7: you can look everywhere. There's there's a mosques, there's minarets,
- 55:56Speaker 7: there's definitely it's obvious you're in a Muslim majority country.
- 56:00Speaker 7: I wanted you to hear from the heart of our CEO,
- 56:03Speaker 7: man by the name of Yos Snoopy, talks about, you know,
- 56:06Speaker 7: in the midst of doing the hard work in these
- 56:08Speaker 7: hard places, there's a great joy that we see at
- 56:11Speaker 7: Bible League in people who live out their faith, even
- 56:14Speaker 7: in places like Muslim majority Albania.
- 56:17Speaker 17: It's just been a joyful year of seeing faithful people,
- 56:22Speaker 17: you know, do their mission, people that take risk, that
- 56:25Speaker 17: put their lives on the line. We work in so
- 56:27Speaker 17: many countries where that is you know, the reality, and
- 56:31Speaker 17: just to see these people go faithfully and serve him
- 56:34Speaker 17: is fantastic.
- 56:35Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 56:35Speaker 7: And one of those men is a man by the
- 56:37Speaker 7: name of Arbin. His name means one who brings joy.
- 56:40Speaker 7: I think you'll understand why. But works in an iron
- 56:43Speaker 7: ore factory that's one of the major economic drivers in
- 56:45Speaker 7: the country of Albania. As far as he knew, the
- 56:49Speaker 7: only believer in that plant. A lot of these again
- 56:52Speaker 7: radicalized Muslims can tell you, Kevin, this man's paid a price.
- 56:56Speaker 7: His co workers, knowing that he's a believer, tried to
- 57:00Speaker 7: earn him alive in one of the big vats that
- 57:03Speaker 7: they process iron ore in. They've poisoned his food. They
- 57:06Speaker 7: sought out his elderly parents, they beat them nearly to death,
- 57:10Speaker 7: forced his landlord to basically evict Arbin in his family.
- 57:14Speaker 7: And then a man that has paid an incredible price,
- 57:16Speaker 7: as Jo said, and yet is faithful to the Gospel,
- 57:18Speaker 7: here's what happened. One of the leaders of that radicalized
- 57:21Speaker 7: group in the workplace there was injured on the job,
- 57:24Speaker 7: was unable to work. He had a family, and Arbon,
- 57:26Speaker 7: in this great display of Christian love, would feed this
- 57:29Speaker 7: man's family, would pay his rent, picked up the hours
- 57:33Speaker 7: that this man lost on the job all of this
- 57:36Speaker 7: again to the glory of Gone and to minister to
- 57:38Speaker 7: this man Piro, one of the radicalized leaders of that
- 57:41Speaker 7: group that brought persecution upon this man arb And I
- 57:44Speaker 7: can tell you, in grateful response for all of that,
- 57:48Speaker 7: this man Pierro became a believer. But Kevin, the story
- 57:50Speaker 7: is not in there. Pierro in Arbin, as believers together
- 57:55Speaker 7: would invite others to come learn about Jesus using this
- 57:59Speaker 7: Bible study from I believe we call the project Philip.
- 58:01Speaker 7: We put a name a face to the study that
- 58:03Speaker 7: we use all over the world, that and that we've
- 58:06Speaker 7: used for more than eighty years. Right, And it's Philip
- 58:09Speaker 7: the evangelist and Acts eight who leads the Ethiopian eunuch
- 58:12Speaker 7: to faith in Christ in a very simple way. He
- 58:15Speaker 7: is there to answer the questions of this man who
- 58:18Speaker 7: is an Ethiopian, that eunuch. Right, and says, you're reading
- 58:21Speaker 7: about Jesus, the risen Savior of the Messiah who has come.
- 58:24Speaker 7: And of course, if you know the text, this man
- 58:27Speaker 7: becomes a believer. Doesn't do much but wan take the
- 58:29Speaker 7: gospel back to the continent of Africa. So in the
- 58:31Speaker 7: spirit of that Philip, we help create Phillips all over
- 58:34Speaker 7: the world. And that's what happened in the case. So
- 58:36Speaker 7: not only have Arvin, but the man who persecuted him.
- 58:39Speaker 7: I can tell you Kevin. Today the story expands. About
- 58:41Speaker 7: three hundred former Sunni Muslims have said yes to Jesus
- 58:45Speaker 7: in the country of Albania. We're about two percent of
- 58:47Speaker 7: the population makes up the Christian community. These are people
- 58:50Speaker 7: that live, they worship, they minister really with targets on
- 58:55Speaker 7: their back. Often they're singled out, they're targeted, monitored, all
- 58:58Speaker 7: of these things right simply because they bear the name
- 59:00Speaker 7: of Jesus. So again again, this is something we pray
- 59:03Speaker 7: for that the Gospel would take grip all over the world.
- 59:05Speaker 7: I don't always wake up and wonder what is the
- 59:07Speaker 7: Lord doing in Albania, But he is not forgot. And
- 59:09Speaker 7: there's three hundred former Sunni Muslims praying for the precious
- 59:13Speaker 7: Word of God today.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Well, and I just I just have to point this
- 59:16Speaker 4: out for those of you listening, for those Sunni Muslims,
- 59:19Speaker 4: former Sunni Muslims to be asking for that is in
- 59:22Speaker 4: essence a death sentence when when they when they walk
- 59:26Speaker 4: away from particularly Sunni Islam, there's a there is a
- 59:33Speaker 4: a disapproval that goes far beyond just social outcasting in
- 59:37Speaker 4: that culture, and if they are men in particular, it
- 59:40Speaker 4: is a particularly harsh consequence to do so. So why
- 59:44Speaker 4: would they? That becomes a question, why would somebody walk
- 59:47Speaker 4: away from something they've known their whole life when conceivably
- 59:51Speaker 4: the only outcome of it here in this life is
- 59:53Speaker 4: greater persecution and greater opposition. Well, it's because they have
- 59:57Speaker 4: found something far more deep and far more meaningful, far
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: more true, far more practical in terms of what it
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: meets in their soul. And this is why they can't
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: just exist as Christians and some sort of ether without
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: without any kind of guidance or direction. That's what scripture provides.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: It provides a pathway for our feet. The sawmis says
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: that it provides light so that we can see where
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: we're going. But this is the this is the challenge.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: If you don't have the scriptures to work from, how
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: do you then manufacture that? Well they can't in their circumstance,
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: but we can for five dollars a copy, get them
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: those copies of the scriptures, and then they can watch
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: their walk with Jesus grow they can actually see their
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: development in the faith of understanding Jesus better telling others
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: about him. Those are all the side benefits. And for
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: five dollars for three hundred Bibles, that's a fifteen hundred
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: dollars total gift. If we just had fifteen of you,
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: say I'm going to give a one time gift of
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: one hundred dollars. If we had fifteen of you, go
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: to the phone right now and do that, we would
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: supply all three hundred Bibles for the people that need
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: them right there in where we're talking about. But we
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: can't do it without you. Eight hundred yes word one,

- 1:01:34Speaker 13: Coming right back, let's stick around for more of that
- 1:01:39Speaker 13: Kevin next.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Here he is from New York. Kevin Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: Welcome back, Kevin mccallaugh. Glad to have you with us.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: It's that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com. Thank you
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: for being here. We are very simply trying to give
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: someone something that they desperately, desperately need and have no
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: access to it. We're talking about something that may be
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: a little unusual for some of you that have never
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: heard of this concept, but Bibles are deeply, deeply needed
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: in places where they don't have access to them. And
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: you may say, keV, come on, everybody's got apps on
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: their phone that have Bibles in them. That's true unless
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: you don't have smartphones. And that's true especially if you
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: don't have cell towers or internet service. And where the
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Bible League has been going for years is to places
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: where people do not have access to the scriptures electronically,
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: in physical form, in really any form. And that's why
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: that's why they go, and that's that's why these these
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Bibles make such a huge difference. Woolworth is back with
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: us and Michael. There's lots of sections of the world
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: that we're talking about. In fact, we've got like four
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: main groups of areas, but Africa still has a huge
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: need for Bibles.
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: Well, let me see this, Kevin. Not a place on
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: Earth where Bible League ministers, where we're not connected to
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: the local evangelical church, right, that's the blueprint for growth
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: in the New Testament. Paul did not consider the Gospel
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: to have been preached to his area, to an area
- 1:03:24Speaker 7: until one, you know, the Gospel had been preached, you know,
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: churches were set up and they were beginning to thrive.
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: And so again, why would we deviate from that. But again,
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: you have the assurance that this is a safe investment.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: You know that.
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: You know, they don't just put anybody on that Kevin show. Right,
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: We've been properly vetted. But Kevin, you've been to Bible
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: League's headquarters in the Chicago area. You know, we've been
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: on for this our eleventh campaign together. So again, this
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: is a safe investment. As I love to say, you know,
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: this is something we all pray for, right, that the
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: Gospel would take reach in places like Africa. And it
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: turns out, Kevin, this is where Christianity is growing in
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: the greatest numbers in the world. It's not the US,
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: our prayers that that changes, right, but it's places like
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: the continent of Africa. And I do want to take
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: you to Rwanda, Africa, and you know some of the
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: places where Biblely ministers, My goodness, the people have known
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: incredible grief, pain and loss that is certainly true of
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: the country of Rwanda. It's the thirty second anniversary of
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: the Hutu Tutsi conflict, the Rwandan and genocide that happened
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: in nineteen ninety four. About a million people died in
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: the course of about one hundred days. You know, if
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: you've seen the motion picture Hotel Rwanda, you know the
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: chaos and the bloodshed that defined that conflict back again
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: in nineteen ninety four. But my colleague Anton left as
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: Native Netherlands went into Rwandi.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: Said Michael.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: There's memorials set up everywhere. Even thirty two years later.
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: People gather at these memorials and they weep the loss
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: of their loved ones. Anton met a woman by the
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: name of Dally. Her story, Covin, was that she had
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: lost her husband, her son in about thirty extended family
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: members to that conflict back in nineteen ninety four. And
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: yet he said, God worked in her heart, has brought
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: her incredible peace and healing, and it came through the
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: words of Jesus on the cross. But this is Anton,
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: and he is in Rwanda, Africa.
- 1:05:17Speaker 18: Ask them, it's about the lots of people in those
- 1:05:20Speaker 18: horrible times, range from five hundred thousand to one million
- 1:05:23Speaker 18: over the course of just a couple of days. But
- 1:05:25Speaker 18: yet people like Dali have seen it with their own eyes.
- 1:05:28Speaker 18: Her husband and one of her sons were killed, and
- 1:05:30Speaker 18: she just couldn't forgive those who killed her loved ones.
- 1:05:33Speaker 18: True forgiveness only came when she learned about Christ's work
- 1:05:37Speaker 18: at the Cross, about which she was reading in her Bible.
- 1:05:39Speaker 18: So she recalled that Jesus asked his father to forgive
- 1:05:42Speaker 18: those who punished him. And because of Jesus saying those
- 1:05:46Speaker 18: words at the Cross, she is now able to forgive
- 1:05:49Speaker 18: those people.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: And yeah, you know words that we often read around Easter, right,
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Jesus saying, you know, Father, forgive them. They know now
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: what they do. When Dally was able to open up
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: her own Bible, right, she was able to read the
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: words of Jesus again. And that's the grace, that's the
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: gumption that she found to be able to forgive those
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: that brought incredible grief to her. Kevin, She's gone on.
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: In her small village of about three hundred adults, about
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: a third of that village now follows Jesus. Ninety two
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: have said yes to Jesus. They hear the story of Dali.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: They see her ability not to move on from something
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: so tragic, but to move forward in life, and they say,
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: what we want that Jesus give us that Jesus and
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: so ninety two new believers in this small village of
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: three hundred associated with the story of Dali in Rwanda, Africa.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word is the number one eight
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: hundred y e s word. The way you give online
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: is this very simple Go to that kevinshow dot com,
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: that kevinshow dot com, click the banner at the top
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: of the page. It is really simple. It only takes
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: a couple of minutes. And just know that for every
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: Bible that goes out, Bible Levee has tracked over the
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: years what they call a miracle multiplier. It is the
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: statistic that they can comfortably say that for every Bible
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: that goes out, roughly twelve people come to faith in
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Jesus because of that, and that's a conservative estimate. There
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: are areas where there's been a desperation for the Bibles
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: even after the Bibles arrive, Michael, because when they come,
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: it's one thing to get a Bible that you've been
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: hoping for and praying for and waiting for. But if
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: people immediately begin to come to Christ because the person
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: that receives it is immediately sharing the gospel, now you've
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: got more people that need Bibles. And so it's a
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: good problem to have, and it's a problem that we
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: want to try to help fill.
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: Well, may be disheartened, you know, to hear me talk
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: about the other statistic I've shared as many as on
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: nine of ten new believers in many of the regions
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: of Asia and Africa and the Middle East and Latin
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: America are denied God's word. That you'll let that sit
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: in your heart for a moment. That again, fellow believers
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: half a world away are forced to go without a Bible.
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: But again, Kevin, that miracle multiplier, I think you are
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: the one that coined that phrase, right. But again with confidence,
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: we can also say that what twelve people, least twelve
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: people are impacted with every Bible. And as I said earlier,
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: if you can find a better kingdom investment, go chase
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: that today. But if you've been praying to be a
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: blessing to believers somewhere in this world, this great, big
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: world that we live in, let this be it.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Today.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: We want to do this ultimately for ten thousand waiting
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: believers that we know by name of Bible League. Kevin,
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: it's always a joy to circle back to these waiting
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: believers and let them know, Hey, the Bibles you're praying for,
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: they are as good as there.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: It makes them bring such joy to their hearts. One

- 1:09:05Speaker 10: welcome back.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: It's that Kevin show. That kevinshow dot com. One eight
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: hundred yes word is the phone number. One eight hundred
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: ye s word. We're trying to put Bibles into the
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: hands of people who desperately want them but do not
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: have access to them in any way. And Michael, it's
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: always fun to say thank you to those who are
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: responding to this need. I feel like God allows us
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: to play a part in this, and when he calls
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: us to it, the fun for us is to be
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: able to react to it, to give to play our part,
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: and then to watch Bible League do the rest of
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: it as they get the Bibles to.
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: The people well too, have said Count us In. Connie
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: of Staten Island said, I'm in at a dozen bibles.
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: David of Brooklyn said, Michael, Kevin, count me in one
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: hundred dollars tax deductible gift enough to put bibles into
- 1:09:50Speaker 7: the waiting hands of twenty believers that we know by
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: name at Bible League. And again it happens at five
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: dollars a bible. The princely sum at five dollars a bible,
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: you know, in an age of inflation. And you might
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: expect me to come on and say, okay, it's probably
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: eight bucks now. Right now, the average cost for Bible
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: League is still right around five dollars a bible. And
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: you know, Kevin Connor, the days where you would print
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: a Bible here in the US, you know, stored in
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: a warehouse, eventually get it onto a ship, put it
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: through port somewhere elsewhere in the world in about six
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: months time.
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: What we do is we work with printers around the
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: world where it's safe to do so, where it makes
- 1:10:23Speaker 7: sense to do so. And then as we meet for
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: financial constraints like the one before, is you know, enough
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: to fund ten thousand bibles, we're able to say, what
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: fire up the presses. We need bibles in Arabic or
- 1:10:34Speaker 7: Mandarin or keechwall right, that's how we do it. And
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: again it happens for the princely sum of only five
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: dollars a Bible. How many can you send today?
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred y e
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: s word or go to that kevinshow dot com click
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: the Bible League banner at the top of the page.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: The Bible League banner at the top of the page
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: at that kevinshow dot com. Michael, one of the things
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: that I always get excited about is to see where
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: on the planet the Bibles are taking root. And sometimes
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: we learn things about places on the globe that we
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: don't know, Like I didn't know that Albania is a
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: Muslim predominant country, but because it is, it creates a
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: hardship for people who want Bibles there.
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, my colleague was there, he said, Michael,
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: it was obviously we were in a Muslim majority country.
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: Of course, in a lot of mosques and men arrests.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: But again, you know, law stacked against Christians a lot
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: of times. You know, a community of believers prohibitive from
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: erecting a permanent church, and so they get creative in
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: finding ways that they could meet together. But that's the
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: country we're talking about, Albania. It's on the Balkan Peninsula
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: in southeast Europe. It's a place it's been on the
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: map for a long time. In fact, Paul when he
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: said we preached the Gospel from Jerusalem to Laconium, that
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: is modern day Albanian. As I said today, it is
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: a Muslim majority country. About two percent of the population
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: identifies as evangelical Christians. And I can tell you if
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: you bear the name of Christ here, you do so
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: at great costs. That happened to a man by the
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: name of Arbin. Arbin worked in an iron ore factory.
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: That's a main economic driver there in the country, right
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: as far as he knew, the only Christian in that place. Again,
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: most of these were a Sunni Muslims. Some of these radicalized. Right,
- 1:12:19Speaker 7: the man is paid a heavy price. Those co workers
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: around him know that he bears the name of Christ.
- 1:12:25Speaker 7: They've tried to burn him alive in one of those
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: big vats where they process iron ore. They poisoned his food.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: They sought out his parents. Kevin, his elderly parents nearly
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: beat him to death. They pressured his landlord to evict
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: Arbin and his family. They were homeless for a short
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: period of time, but got did something very special. One
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: of the leaders of that group, if you will, a
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: man by the name of Piro, was injured on the job.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: He couldn't work.
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: He had a family, and so in a great display
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: of Christian love, this man Arbin reached out to his family.
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: He paid their rent, put food on the table, picked
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: up some hours for this man. I can tell you
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: by seeing Christian love on display, that man, Piero, his
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: heart was broken as Arbin introduced the Gospel to him
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: and said, you know, in my scheme of things, my
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: God Allah only demanded he said, but I looked at
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: the hope of the Gospel, this precious Gospel, and I
- 1:13:18Speaker 7: saw Jesus laying down his life for his own and
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: that's what broke them. But Kevin, the story is not
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: in there. It expands that this man Pierro, trained to
- 1:13:26Speaker 7: share Christ in Muslim majority of Albania, has seen a
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: three hundred people come to Christ again, most of these
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: former Sunni Muslims. And let me say, I'm not saying
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: that if you follow Islam, you're radicalized. That would not
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: be fair, would not be true, right, But in the
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: story that we're sharing from Albania today, that was the story.
- 1:13:44Speaker 7: But again, you want to see an end of people
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: that are following really a radicalized agenda with no knowledge
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: at least a caricature of who Jesus is, what Christianity.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Is all about.
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: This is a great way to do it today, right
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: at five dollars a Bible. And so there's men like
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: Arbin willing to to lay down their lives for the Gospel.
- 1:14:03Speaker 7: When I think of Matthew five Kevin, where Jesus says,
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: I tell you love your enemies, pray for those who
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: persecute you. That's what these people are doing. And it's
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: happening today in Muslim majority Albania. The Gospels alive and
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: wherever God has you listening today, you get to be
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: a part of it.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: One eight hundred yes word is the number. One eight
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: hundred y ees word, one eight hundred yes word. You
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: can also go to that kevinshow dot com click the
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: banner at the top of the page that will take
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: you to a place where you can give your gift
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: as well. Shouldn't take more than just a couple of
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: minutes to do either one of those. But friends, the
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: impact of doing so is that you're going to change
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: eternity for people. And in one of the most reliable
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: ways to know that the Gospel will go forward is
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: to give a Bible through Bible League, because in nearly
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: every Bible that's gone out, people have come to faith
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: as a result of that Bible just being out there,
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: just being in someone's hands, just being in a believer's hands,
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: another country, in their language, in their place time existence,
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: so that they can share the Gospel directly to the
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: people that they reach. And that's why we need, you know,
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: just there in Albania, three hundred people need Bibles. Three
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: hundred people need those bibles. Three hundred Sunni Muslims. Former
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: Sunni Muslims don't want to continue towards discipleship in Islam.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: They want to they want to be discipled in the
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: ways of Jesus. The Bible is the key to that,
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: and it is important, vibrant for us to get that
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: to them so that they can so that they can
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: have that and study it for themselves. One eight hundred
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: yes word one eight hundred ye s word. Can also
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: go to that kevinshow dot com click the Bible League

- 1:15:49Speaker 4: the page, Bible League. Just click that and give your
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: most generous gift as you do, and then when you do,
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: just know this is how it works. Take the amount
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: of money that you give, Let's say it's three hundred dollars,
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: and you divide it by five five dollars per bible,
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: and then you're going to say, okay, that's sixty bibles.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: Now you're going to say multiply the number of Bibles
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: times twelve, and that's going to be ultimately the number
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: of people that you're going to reach for the cause
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: of Jesus. That's seven hundred and twenty people that will
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: come to faith in Christ because you were generous enough
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: to share a Bible today. Friends, you can make that difference.

- 1:16:53Speaker 10: That's a no drink Mini. It's that Kevin Show.
- 1:17:00Speaker 16: Came time to give out Bibles. The Bible presentation. It
- 1:17:03Speaker 16: is hard to describe the joy. We were with a
- 1:17:07Speaker 16: group of women who were receiving their first Bibles and
- 1:17:10Speaker 16: they were dancing around the room with crazy excitement over
- 1:17:13Speaker 16: and receiving their first Bibles. It was just such a
- 1:17:16Speaker 16: fun time and it really spoke to their newfound passion
- 1:17:21Speaker 16: for Jesus.
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: We have over the years that we've done this, I've
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: heard people weep, I've heard people wail, I've heard people
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: delight and dance. I've heard people laugh. These are some
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: of the reactions of immense and intense joy and gratitude
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: that come out of people when they are given those Bibles.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: And Michael Woolworth, I want to know what is your
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: opinion as to why it derived It delivers such emotion
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: for these people when they receive them.
- 1:17:52Speaker 7: Well, I've traveled the world, Kevin, we have friends, had
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: fund those trips right been able to come back and
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: share the reaction you know, when they find out there
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: is a God who loves them. You know again if
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: if you've left you know. One of the isms we've
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: talked about today over the course of our time together, right,
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: and you come to know there's a God who loves
- 1:18:10Speaker 7: you right as a plan for your life. Right, there's
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: promises that you can claim. There's strength for the journey
- 1:18:15Speaker 7: that you need, especially if you live in a place
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: where you're persecuted. Right to finally hold that Bible, Kevin,
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: I've been in places where the pastor was the only
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: one in the congregation to have a Bible. How do
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: you turn your congregants into faithful bereans? Jimmember Paul singled out,
- 1:18:30Speaker 7: You know the Borerians in the New Testament, right, they
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: were faithful. Why they didn't merely take what they heard
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: at face value. They used the scriptures they had available
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: to them at the time, and they were able to
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: verify what they were hearing as one as the gospel truth,
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: if you will. Paul called them out as faithful Bereans.
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: So again, every five dollars gift today is one. It's
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: the answer to the prayer of a waiting believer who's
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: again not praying for our pity or for protection. They're
- 1:18:53Speaker 7: praying for the precious Word of God. Let me just
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: give you a handful of names as we wrap up
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: this hour, today, Kevin washe is in community, China. She
- 1:19:01Speaker 7: and her husband of Rice patty farmers.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: They have two children.
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: They want to raise them in the ways of the
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: Lord in the country that fiercely opposes the Gospel. They're
- 1:19:08Speaker 7: praying for a Bible in China. Alicia is in Madagascar, Africa.
- 1:19:13Speaker 7: That's the island nation just off the now southeast to
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: a part of that continent. She's a widow, she has
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: three children. Again, she wants to lead her family in
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: the ways of the Lord. She's praying for a Bible.
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: And then, Kevin, some of your wonderful listeners doing something
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: about it today. Barbara of Brooklyn said, I'm in at
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: thirteen bibles. Lyle of New York City said, Michael, Kevin
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: count me in a gift of one hundred dollars to
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: take care of twenty waiting believers today. And I'm thinking
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: of Isaiah fifty two as we wrap things up. How
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: beautiful are the feet of those who send good news, Kevin.
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: That really characterizes your listening family, who over the years
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: has given so sacrificially right to look even half a
- 1:19:51Speaker 7: world away and to send waiting believers exactly what they're
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: praying for. And that is the precious word of gone.
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: That is so that is so encouraging. I just want
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: to ask you, don't be caught left behind here, get
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: in early, pray hard. We have a big goal. There's
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: ten thousand people on the list to receive bibles. Three
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: hundred here, one thousand over there, fifty over here, five here,
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: twelve there, whatever the amount is that you can do.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: If you can do twenty bibles, that's one hundred dollars gift.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: If you can do sixty bibles, that's a three hundred
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: dollars gift. I believe that the US is kind of
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: on the precipice of a revival here in our nation,
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: and I think that because of that, we could lead
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: a revival around the world by making sure that Bibles
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: got into the hands of the people that desperately want it.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: They desperately need it, but they don't have access to it.
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: Don't fall to their own. They're born in a place
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: different and separate from where you are. Who got to
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: pick you to grow up in a place where Bibles
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: were easy to come by and easier to some times
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: ignore or disregard these believers that we're talking about. Do
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: not think about the Bible that way, they are desperate
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: for it, they don't have access to it. And my
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: pleading with you today is help us get to that
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: ten thousand Bible mark, because there are just that many
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: people and more that so desperately want to have a
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: copy for themselves. One eight hundred yes word, one eight
