Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word. Trust beyond
- 0:10Speaker 1: what you see. Trust beyond what you see. Proverbs three
- 0:19Speaker 1: five through six says trust in the Lord with all
- 0:23Speaker 1: your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
- 0:28Speaker 2: In all your ways.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Submit to Him and he will make your paths straight.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You know, there are moments in life when what we
- 0:37Speaker 1: see doesn't line up with what God said. The bills
- 0:42Speaker 1: don't match the paycheck, y'all know what I'm talking about.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The diagnosis doesn't match your prayers. The delay doesn't match
- 0:50Speaker 1: the promise. It's in these very moments that trust become
- 0:55Speaker 1: more than just words.
- 0:56Speaker 2: It becomes a choice.
- 0:58Speaker 1: To trust in the Lord with all your heart means
- 1:01Speaker 1: you've decided that God's plan is greater than your understanding.
- 1:06Speaker 1: You've chosen to believe that His hand is still guiding
- 1:10Speaker 1: you even when you can't trace what he's doing.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Sometimes we lean too.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Heavily on our logic and on what makes sense to us,
- 1:19Speaker 1: what's comfortable for us, or.
- 1:21Speaker 2: What seems possible to us.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But God doesn't operate by human reasoning or understanding.
- 1:28Speaker 2: He booms by divine wisdom.
- 1:31Speaker 1: When we release our need to figure everything out, we
- 1:35Speaker 1: make room for.
- 1:36Speaker 2: God to work everything out.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Trust says Lord, I don't understand it, but I'm still
- 1:43Speaker 1: in your hands. Trust says I may not see the way,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but I know you are the way. And in that surrender,
- 1:51Speaker 1: peace begins to flow. Because trusted in God doesn't mean
- 1:54Speaker 1: you'll always understand.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It means you're confident that he does.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So stop, stop leaning on your own understanding. Let go
- 2:05Speaker 1: of the anxiety that comes from trying to control what
- 2:08Speaker 1: only God can handle. He's never failed you before, and
- 2:12Speaker 1: he's not about to start now. Yeah, his path may
- 2:17Speaker 1: curve and twist and wind, but it always leads to purpose.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Father God, Thank you.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Thank you that even when we don't understand what you're doing,
- 2:28Speaker 1: we can trust that you're working for our good.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Help us to lean fully on you and not our
- 2:34Speaker 2: own reasoning and understanding.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Teach us to rest in your promises and to walk
- 2:39Speaker 1: in faith, knowing that you are directing our steps. Knowing
- 2:43Speaker 1: and trusting that you can be trusted in Jesus' name.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Now that's your word for today.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I want you to take it applied to your everyday life.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You can see to be incursed and inspired. It's your
- 2:55Speaker 1: early morning praise party with be your girl, Sherry Mackie.
- 2:58Speaker 2: As we are trusting beyond, what will you say
