- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to SEC Football Addiction.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Allie Peek, a peek inside Gators football, talking all things UF.
- 0:05Speaker 2: On the bye week this week, we are presented by PrizePix.
- 0:09Speaker 2: All new users there play $ 5, get $ 150 in lineups
- 0:12Speaker 2: instantly if you use code HMA. Allie, we want to
- 0:16Speaker 2: dive in a little bit to this quarterback battle, but
- 0:18Speaker 2: you've said this on other shows, Florida at 5-2 ranked,
- 0:23Speaker 2: and if you'd have offered that to Gator fans coming
- 0:25Speaker 2: into Summer Hall's first season, they probably would have taken it,
- 0:28Speaker 2: probably wouldn't have taken the path that probably wouldn't have
- 0:31Speaker 2: picked the path that Florida has taken. But I don't
- 0:34Speaker 2: know that anybody could have predicted the path that any
- 0:36Speaker 2: team has taken so far in this college football season.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So we probably shouldn't even be that surprised.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the fact that we are only seven
- 0:43Speaker 3: games into the season and there is not a single
- 0:46Speaker 3: undefeated SEC team at the moment just tells you what
- 0:49Speaker 3: an insane season this already is. But if you had
- 0:54Speaker 3: said to Gator fans, okay, during that bye week, before
- 0:57Speaker 3: you go into Georgia, you're going to be sitting at 5-2.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I think everybody would have been really pleased. This is
- 1:02Speaker 3: already one win more than they had last year. Now,
- 1:05Speaker 3: I'm guessing people would have assumed those losses were to
- 1:08Speaker 3: Texas and Ole Miss. Instead, they were to Missouri and
- 1:11Speaker 3: South Carolina. But you're 5-2 with two wins over two
- 1:15Speaker 3: top 10 teams. Only one other team in the country
- 1:19Speaker 3: can say that they have two top 10 wins under
- 1:21Speaker 3: their belt. So, you know, all things considered... I think
- 1:26Speaker 3: everybody would have been pumped about this.
- 1:28Speaker 1: In that game against Texas. And I've talked about this.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I was so impressed with their ability to bounce back
- 1:34Speaker 2: and respond. And I think even Gator fans would have
- 1:38Speaker 2: to admit that down 17 to three with Texas, having
- 1:41Speaker 2: the ball in driving, right?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Like they were, were they into Florida territory or close
- 1:44Speaker 1: to it?
- 1:45Speaker 4: Um, close to it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: All everyone, even UF fans would have thought, all right, go,
- 1:51Speaker 2: go get Georgia in two weeks, you know, like this
- 1:53Speaker 2: thing's over. And yeah, something happened for UF and Texas
- 1:57Speaker 2: certainly did their part to, to help with this. But the,
- 2:00Speaker 2: the thing I was most impressed with more than Jones,
- 2:02Speaker 2: more than McCray breaking out more than, you know, ball
- 2:05Speaker 2: getting close to a hundred yards and kind of reestablishing
- 2:08Speaker 2: himself after a couple of off weeks was the fact
- 2:11Speaker 2: that they didn't quit and they outscored Texas 24 to seven,
- 2:16Speaker 2: the rest of the way and found, and it took
- 2:18Speaker 2: kind of a, I don't want to say miracle, but
- 2:20Speaker 2: kind of took a special play for Texas to even
- 2:22Speaker 2: get that last touchdown to, to get it close there.
- 2:24Speaker 1: At the end, I was really impressed with that.
- 2:27Speaker 2: And I think it says something about this team more
- 2:28Speaker 2: than any individual player or talent.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Level or anything like that.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think Summerall addressed that in the postgame
- 2:35Speaker 3: where he said, you know, win aside, this team grew today.
- 2:40Speaker 3: And we watched a team against South Carolina and against
- 2:43Speaker 3: Missouri win. go in down at halftime, and come out
- 2:46Speaker 3: and then play worse. And he talked about it at
- 2:48Speaker 3: the South Carolina game. They were down by seven points,
- 2:51Speaker 3: and then the locker room looked like somebody had shot
- 2:54Speaker 3: their dog. And what a hard place that was for them.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And he was like, guys, we're down seven at home.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Why do we look like this? Why are we acting
- 3:04Speaker 3: like this? So that's a huge turnaround, though, because that
- 3:06Speaker 3: was one week ago. So the fact that they were
- 3:08Speaker 3: down not by seven, but they were down 17-3– And
- 3:14Speaker 3: on the road, and they didn't quit at that point.
- 3:17Speaker 3: So I do think that's probably the single most impressive
- 3:20Speaker 3: thing to come out of this, not even the win,
- 3:21Speaker 3: but the fact that they did not quit. And the
- 3:25Speaker 3: fact that they were able to come out of the
- 3:26Speaker 3: locker room and an eight-minute and three-second drive is incredible.
- 3:32Speaker 3: That's not Texas making one bad play. That's not Florida
- 3:36Speaker 3: getting lucky on an explosive. That is a sustained drive that,
- 3:42Speaker 3: was really a dagger to Texas. They tied the game
- 3:45Speaker 3: at the end of that drive and kind of sat
- 3:47Speaker 3: in the driver's seat from there on out. I do
- 3:49Speaker 3: think that kind of took the wind out of the
- 3:51Speaker 3: stadium a little bit that took the wind out of
- 3:55Speaker 3: this Texas team. It was, it was really impressive how
- 4:00Speaker 3: they did.
- 4:00Speaker 4: They, they managed their comeback, I think.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And I think a lot of that can be attributed
- 4:05Speaker 2: to coaching also the opponent, right? Like I think if I'm,
- 4:09Speaker 2: if you're asking me to guess from somebody that's not
- 4:11Speaker 2: close to the program, not there, then no, when you're
- 4:13Speaker 2: down seven at halftime to South Carolina, I think you're
- 4:16Speaker 2: starting to look around and say, dude, this is South Carolina.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Like what are we doing? What are we doing?
- 4:20Speaker 2: We've done when you're down to Texas, like that's what
- 4:22Speaker 2: everybody expected. Everybody expected you to move to Texas. We
- 4:25Speaker 2: all picked Texas last week. And so at that point,
- 4:28Speaker 2: I think there is one on the coaching to, to
- 4:30Speaker 2: kind of reestablish like, Hey guys, now seven and a
- 4:32Speaker 2: half times, like Not that big of a deal. I mean,
- 4:34Speaker 2: obviously you'd prefer to be up, but like next time
- 4:36Speaker 2: this happens, like it's okay. We're allowed to keep going
- 4:38Speaker 2: and playing. And then also too, like you're playing an
- 4:40Speaker 2: opponent that it's like, okay, well, we're supposed to lose this.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Let's just go play. Let's just go play and see
- 4:44Speaker 1: what happens.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know, whereas it definitely seemed like more of a
- 4:47Speaker 2: tightening up and they played a lot more. again, tight
- 4:50Speaker 2: is the word against South Carolina, second half. And they
- 4:53Speaker 2: were loose against Texas.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It was like, okay, well, this is what's happening.
- 4:57Speaker 4: You're playing with house money.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You've got your backup quarterback in who's never started a
- 5:01Speaker 3: game in his entire career. You are on the road
- 5:05Speaker 3: in front of a hundred thousand opposing fans. And it
- 5:08Speaker 3: is Texas. They were the number seven team in the country.
- 5:10Speaker 3: They were the number one team in the country the.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Week before that.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So I do, maybe that's part of it. You know, it's,
- 5:17Speaker 3: there's less pressure on you when you're playing with house money.
- 5:19Speaker 3: But I was, if you couldn't get your team to
- 5:23Speaker 3: rally down seven at home, it's incredibly impressive that you
- 5:27Speaker 3: were able to get them to rally down 14 on the.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Road against, a tougher team.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Texas has one of the top defenses in the country. And,
- 5:37Speaker 3: and again, it wasn't getting lucky that offensive line was
- 5:40Speaker 3: able to take care of business against a Texas offensive line.
- 5:44Speaker 4: That is our defensive line.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I mean, that is much higher rated, you know, they
- 5:48Speaker 3: were able to for by and large protect, uh, Jones
- 5:53Speaker 3: back there, another really impressive feat.
- 5:56Speaker 4: So I, It wasn't just that they won. It was
- 5:58Speaker 4: how they won.
- 5:59Speaker 3: It was that they dominated in some areas where on
- 6:02Speaker 3: paper Texas is far superior. And they never panicked. And so, again,
- 6:08Speaker 3: I think there's a lot of growth that comes from this.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I'll get right back to the interview, but first I
- 6:12Speaker 2: want to give some love to our friends over at
- 6:14Speaker 2: Alumni Hall. Make sure you are using our code CFA15
- 6:18Speaker 2: for 15% off of your purchase at alumnihall.com or in person.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Doesn't matter what team, doesn't matter what store. CFA15 will
- 6:26Speaker 2: work both online and in-store. Doesn't sign you up for anything,
- 6:29Speaker 2: not a monthly subscription. They have the best and largest
- 6:32Speaker 2: selection of game day apparel and merchandise that you can find.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Make sure you're saving money on it. CFA15 will save
- 6:37Speaker 2: you 15%. Make sure you're using it. We appreciate alumni
- 6:40Speaker 2: hall for their support. So one player that did not
- 6:43Speaker 2: panic certainly is Tramiel Jones who went 22 of 35,
- 6:46Speaker 2: 155 yards, two touchdowns did not have a pick. And
- 6:49Speaker 2: then also 41 yards on the ground, including a nine
- 6:51Speaker 2: yard rush at the very end of the game to
- 6:54Speaker 2: kind of seal things. I thought the way that he
- 6:57Speaker 2: looked was, was really, really impressive. Just the way he
- 7:00Speaker 2: carried himself. It wasn't like statistically insane. There's a lot
- 7:04Speaker 2: of get the ball to playmakers and let them roll.
- 7:06Speaker 2: It presents an interesting situation that I know you've talked
- 7:08Speaker 2: about a ton. You did a video on Tuesday morning.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Do you ride the hot hand or maybe not even
- 7:15Speaker 2: the hot hand, but the hand that seemed to give
- 7:17Speaker 2: you a spark? Does Philo maybe come back and take
- 7:20Speaker 2: over the starting job? You've got a couple of weeks
- 7:22Speaker 2: to figure it out with a bye week, but a
- 7:24Speaker 2: pretty good opponent in Georgia to throw somebody to in Atlanta.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a really tricky situation, and I am
- 7:30Speaker 3: glad I am not the person that is making this
- 7:33Speaker 3: final decision. But on the one hand, I don't love
- 7:36Speaker 3: the idea of a quarterback losing their job because of injury.
- 7:39Speaker 3: And I don't think that Aaron Filo is one of
- 7:43Speaker 3: the top five reasons that Florida lost to South Carolina
- 7:46Speaker 3: or Missouri. I also think Jones provided something on Saturday
- 7:51Speaker 3: that isn't seen in the stat sheet. I think that
- 7:54Speaker 3: there was a spark. There was some intangibles. that he
- 7:57Speaker 3: brought to that game. And I think he's a large
- 8:02Speaker 3: part of the reason that they won it. Now, it
- 8:03Speaker 3: was a huge team win. This defense played a lot
- 8:06Speaker 3: better than they have played the last couple of weeks.
- 8:08Speaker 4: But Jones certainly... played his role, and he played it well.
- 8:12Speaker 3: There was a couple times he called his own number.
- 8:14Speaker 3: You mentioned that nine-yard run at the end. There was
- 8:17Speaker 3: also a third and 12 that he scrambled on his
- 8:20Speaker 3: own and got that extended a drive. And that was
- 8:24Speaker 3: incredibly important in the.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Moment as well. But this is a tricky situation.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I think that Aaron Filo and Tramiel Jones are very similar.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I think their skill sets are similar. I think what
- 8:36Speaker 3: they bring to the table is similar. So I understand
- 8:39Speaker 3: why Philo got the nod when he did. I think
- 8:41Speaker 3: this is somebody who has a better grasp of the offense.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I might ride the hot hand, though. I think that
- 8:49Speaker 3: beating Georgia is an incredibly tall task, regardless of who
- 8:54Speaker 3: you play.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Either one, right?
- 8:57Speaker 3: I think Philo or Jones is going to have a
- 8:59Speaker 3: huge ask to beat Georgia, particularly when Georgia just got
- 9:02Speaker 3: upset by Auburn, and now they have a week to
- 9:05Speaker 3: stew in it, and Kirby Smart is their coach. I
- 9:07Speaker 3: think it is a tough position for either guy to
- 9:11Speaker 3: be in.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Jones just beat Texas.
- 9:14Speaker 3: He's got a lot of momentum behind him, both from
- 9:18Speaker 3: the team and the fan base. If the likely outcome
- 9:22Speaker 3: is a loss either way, I might ride the hot
- 9:25Speaker 3: hand and.
- 9:25Speaker 4: See what happens.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's so tough because we have talked
- 9:30Speaker 2: about this on air, off air, different places, but just
- 9:33Speaker 2: because we haven't here, There's an aspect of this that
- 9:37Speaker 2: makes me think like, man, if you're probably going to
- 9:39Speaker 2: lose to Georgia, don't lose the fan base too. And don't, don't,
- 9:46Speaker 2: I think it would really upset Gator fans who I
- 9:49Speaker 2: think you could agree are sometimes can, can rage about
- 9:52Speaker 2: things that don't necessarily need to be raged about. Maybe
- 9:54Speaker 2: you could say that for every fan base. Don't lose
- 9:57Speaker 2: the fan base too.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Don't go back.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Don't change what seemingly worked on Saturday. The other side
- 10:04Speaker 2: of that, the other side of the coin is, man,
- 10:07Speaker 2: if Philo goes out and practices for the next two
- 10:11Speaker 2: weeks or week and a half, I guess, by the
- 10:12Speaker 2: time this airs, And is undoubtedly the better quarterback and
- 10:16Speaker 2: you get VB three back and you have a little
- 10:18Speaker 2: more confidence in the offensive line. And you know that
- 10:21Speaker 2: you're John Summerall and you've got a better chance to
- 10:24Speaker 2: win with Philo in your estimation, right? Like we don't
- 10:27Speaker 2: know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, but if
- 10:28Speaker 2: you're John Summerall, you're saying. If Philo gives me a
- 10:31Speaker 2: better chance, damn those fans. Like I, you know, it's
- 10:34Speaker 2: such an interesting spot for him to be in. I
- 10:36Speaker 2: think it's a difficult spot to be in because I
- 10:38Speaker 2: don't think he's going to just start the worst quarterback
- 10:42Speaker 2: out of loyalty or the worst quarterback to appease the fans.
- 10:46Speaker 2: But if they're close and you don't want a guy
- 10:48Speaker 2: to live, there's so many contributing factors here. Who gives
- 10:51Speaker 2: you a better chance to win? Who's going to keep
- 10:53Speaker 2: your seat in a better spot? Not that his seat
- 10:55Speaker 2: would count, but like, who's going to get who you
- 10:57Speaker 2: do want to appease the fans and the donors and
- 10:59Speaker 2: the people that are paying for you to have this job.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And then also the loyalty factor does factor in. You
- 11:05Speaker 2: don't want a guy to lose his job due to,
- 11:07Speaker 2: due to starting. I'll say it worked out fairly well
- 11:09Speaker 2: for Ole Miss. It worked out really well for the
- 11:11Speaker 2: Patriots back in 2001. Not that I'm comparing, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 2: Tramiel Jones to Tom Brady or, or, you know, Trinidad Chambliss,
- 11:17Speaker 2: but it's an, it's not an impossible decision, but it's
- 11:20Speaker 2: a really, really tough one either way.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And you know, I also, another factor of this is
- 11:25Speaker 3: we don't even know if Philo will be healthy. Um,
- 11:28Speaker 3: in the post game, some all said it's a couple
- 11:31Speaker 3: week deal is the way that he worded it. We
- 11:34Speaker 3: know that it's his throwing shoulder. We don't know the
- 11:36Speaker 3: extent past that. We don't have any details on that.
- 11:39Speaker 3: So all of this conversation may be for not because
- 11:42Speaker 3: it may be Jones by default, but I am glad
- 11:45Speaker 3: I'm not the person making this decision. I think there
- 11:47Speaker 3: are a lot of factors that go into it. I
- 11:50Speaker 3: felt like coach was really careful in the post game, um,
- 11:54Speaker 3: to not knock Philo. He truly made a point to
- 11:58Speaker 3: say like, hey, Tramiel made some mistakes out there. He
- 12:00Speaker 3: knows he made some mistakes out there and kind of
- 12:04Speaker 3: give love to both guys, which felt weird in the
- 12:07Speaker 3: moment since Philo didn't even play, but I almost feel
- 12:10Speaker 3: like was kind of strategic. Like, I don't know who's
- 12:12Speaker 3: going to be the guy. I need to make sure
- 12:13Speaker 3: that everybody realizes that I think both are capable of
- 12:17Speaker 3: being successful here. And if the quarterback battle was as
- 12:22Speaker 3: close as we were told it was all summer long,
- 12:25Speaker 3: then you can win with both guys.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Both guys have won.
- 12:28Speaker 3: And, you know, so at that point, does it, does
- 12:32Speaker 3: it matter who, like, I think the play around probably
- 12:35Speaker 3: matters more than who starts the offensive line played well.
- 12:40Speaker 4: On Saturday.
- 12:41Speaker 3: They did not play well against South Carolina or Missouri.
- 12:44Speaker 4: That's a huge factor.
- 12:46Speaker 3: The defense played well on Saturday, better than they played
- 12:51Speaker 3: against South Carolina and Missouri.
- 12:53Speaker 4: That's a factor in all of this too.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I don't Florida very well wins with Aaron file on
- 12:58Speaker 3: Saturday because those other things had happened.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Why did they happen?
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I know that's a million dollar question that John
- 13:04Speaker 2: Summerall would like to figure out because he could do
- 13:07Speaker 2: the opposite of whatever the hell happened against South Carolina, Missouri.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But like you were incredibly critical of the offensive line.
- 13:14Speaker 2: So, I mean, so was I, so was anybody with
- 13:16Speaker 2: a pair of eyes that watch this thing, but like
- 13:18Speaker 2: you were incredibly critical justifiably. So against the, on the
- 13:21Speaker 2: offensive line, on the defense, how it was being called,
- 13:24Speaker 2: how it was being executed, all, all the things that,
- 13:27Speaker 2: And then you go play a team that we said
- 13:29Speaker 2: going into it last week, you sat right here and
- 13:31Speaker 2: we said, man, that offensive line ain't playing very good.
- 13:33Speaker 2: And you're playing against the best defensive line in the,
- 13:35Speaker 2: in the conference and that secondary and playing very good.
- 13:38Speaker 2: And arch makes a lot of mistakes, but that's going
- 13:41Speaker 2: to be a tough test for them. And everything seemed
- 13:43Speaker 2: to switch. How the heck did that happen?
- 13:45Speaker 4: The players executed.
- 13:47Speaker 3: The offensive line, I think they made far less mistakes
- 13:50Speaker 3: than they did the previous two. They kind of reverted
- 13:53Speaker 3: back to how they played against Ole Miss and Auburn,
- 13:55Speaker 3: where they just communicated better with each other.
- 13:57Speaker 4: They blocked better. They did their job better. And then defensively,
- 14:02Speaker 4: Sarmal was quick to point out.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That they didn't call the game any differently against Texas
- 14:08Speaker 3: than they had the previous couple weeks, but players executed.
- 14:12Speaker 3: And so I do think I do think that was
- 14:16Speaker 3: the difference there. It's not some grand new scheme that
- 14:19Speaker 3: was drawn up. It's that players did their job. But
- 14:22Speaker 3: that's the hardest part about a rebuild is getting consistency.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Out of your players.
- 14:30Speaker 3: And you can go back and look at Saban's first year,
- 14:34Speaker 3: Kirby's first year. Day is a little bit different because
- 14:39Speaker 3: they went directly from Urban today, and so there really
- 14:42Speaker 3: wasn't a rebuild there.
- 14:43Speaker 4: There was kind of a switch at head coach.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I think you could look at Cristobal at Miami. I mean,
- 14:48Speaker 3: his first season was, I think they won five games.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Getting consistent high-level play out of your guys is one
- 14:57Speaker 3: of the hardest asks of a first-year coach.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Head coach.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And so I think they've always been capable of this.
- 15:03Speaker 3: They didn't play like it the last two weeks, but
- 15:05Speaker 3: they did the first four.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It is incredibly tough.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And it also factors in the way the other team plays,
- 15:11Speaker 2: how you execute, how they execute, how those things blend.
- 15:15Speaker 2: And I do think that's a really good and valid
- 15:18Speaker 2: point by you is coaches don't just, I mean, there
- 15:20Speaker 2: are times where coaches will just say, Hey, what we're
- 15:22Speaker 2: doing is not working.
- 15:23Speaker 1: We have to change everything. that doesn't typically happen from
- 15:27Speaker 1: week to week.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:28Speaker 2: And, and then you'd take the time to relearn the
- 15:31Speaker 2: new thing, just all of that. So much of it
- 15:34Speaker 2: comes down to execution and you, I mean, look at
- 15:38Speaker 2: any team, any team that's been close in certain games
- 15:41Speaker 2: and didn't find a way to get it done. I
- 15:42Speaker 2: think about Florida state, I don't think they did a
- 15:45Speaker 2: ton differently. I think they executed.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Really, really well.
- 15:48Speaker 2: And the reason they ended up not winning on Saturday
- 15:50Speaker 2: was because they didn't execute in a couple of key moments.
- 15:52Speaker 2: You look at their games, theirs and anyone else's games.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Notre Dame had a chance to beat BYU and didn't
- 15:59Speaker 2: execute in certain moments, right? Didn't get the job done
- 16:02Speaker 2: in critical moments. And that's typically what it comes down to.
- 16:06Speaker 2: And there's more because of the parody in the league
- 16:10Speaker 2: right now, not just in the SEC, but everywhere. That
- 16:12Speaker 2: is so crucial. I'll tell you, Tennessee, we talked about
- 16:15Speaker 2: this on your show and other places. Tennessee's an underdog
- 16:18Speaker 2: at South Carolina. But if, if they execute a little
- 16:21Speaker 2: bit better than South Carolina does, they're going to win.
- 16:24Speaker 1: They're going to be six and one. Like that's just
- 16:26Speaker 1: as straightforward as it gets.
- 16:27Speaker 2: And if South Carolina executes a little bit better, kind
- 16:29Speaker 2: of like they did against Florida, they're going to win. Like,
- 16:31Speaker 2: it's just not so much gets made of coaching and
- 16:34Speaker 2: scheme and this and that and the other, it all kind.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Of comes down to that at the end of the day.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So I think it's a good point.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Uh, last thing that I'll get you out VB three,
- 16:43Speaker 2: you expected back, uh, in this game. And then where
- 16:45Speaker 2: are they from a health standpoint?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I do expect that BB3 will be back. I
- 16:50Speaker 3: had always heard from the beginning it was a two-
- 16:52Speaker 3: to four-week deal. And, you know, you need to practice
- 16:56Speaker 3: the week before you play. And so last week would
- 16:58Speaker 3: have been– when practice started, it would have been just
- 17:01Speaker 3: at that two-week mark. And so it didn't surprise me
- 17:05Speaker 3: that we didn't see him. I do know that he's
- 17:07Speaker 3: doing absolutely everything in his power to get back. This
- 17:10Speaker 3: bye week comes at the perfect time for that. So
- 17:13Speaker 3: I think that we get him back against– against Georgia.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I know Bailey Stockton has been banged up the last
- 17:19Speaker 3: several weeks. He's appeared, I think the last two weeks
- 17:22Speaker 3: in a row on the injury report, but then played.
- 17:25Speaker 3: So hopefully this bi-week comes at a good time for
- 17:28Speaker 3: him to kind of recover from, um, from that. And
- 17:33Speaker 3: I do think Florida is relatively healthy. Aaron Philo, we
- 17:36Speaker 3: have so little information on, so he would be my, the,
- 17:41Speaker 3: the injury report that I'm the, the, least confident on
- 17:45Speaker 3: because we have the least information about how he's doing there.
- 17:49Speaker 3: But I do think getting VB3 back, Florida has not
- 17:54Speaker 3: had Dallas Wilson, Eric Singleton, and VB3 all available and
- 17:59Speaker 3: ready to go. I'd bought into that since the first
- 18:03Speaker 3: series of the first game. So I would assume there's
- 18:06Speaker 3: a whole chapter of the playbook that we have yet
- 18:09Speaker 3: to see because it involves using all of them at
- 18:12Speaker 3: the same time and there hasn't been the availability.
- 18:14Speaker 2: The chess match between Kirby Smart, Glenn Schumann, and then
- 18:19Speaker 2: Buster Faulkner on Saturday in Atlanta is going to be phenomenal,
- 18:23Speaker 2: especially if Florida Duds have all of those pieces.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's a huge piece of this.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Obviously, we will talk about the world's largest outdoor, I guess,
- 18:31Speaker 2: indoor cocktail party this year next week. But what do
- 18:35Speaker 2: you got coming for people this week? What have you
- 18:37Speaker 2: done so far? And where can people find you?
- 18:41Speaker 3: You can find me on YouTube or on Spotify, Apple Podcasts,
- 18:45Speaker 3: A Peek Inside Gator Football. We have got a lot
- 18:49Speaker 3: of cool things coming out. I just did a piece
- 18:51Speaker 3: on the Middle Eight, which I find so fascinating. But
- 18:54Speaker 3: every Middle Eight that Florida has dominated this season, they
- 18:56Speaker 3: have won.
- 18:57Speaker 4: There's a lot of correlation there.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Talked about this quarterback as well. Going to have some
- 19:02Speaker 3: interviews coming later in the week. Going to talk a
- 19:04Speaker 3: little recruiting stuff. It's kind of a good reset week
- 19:08Speaker 3: now that we have the buy. We can kind of
- 19:10Speaker 3: do some housekeeping. I want to know what's going on
- 19:12Speaker 3: with recruits. I think our fans do too.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Lots of cool stuff.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Awesome, Allie. I appreciate it. Appreciate you for joining us.
