Today, we’re talking about film reviews: what makes them useful, what makes them enjoyable to read or hear, and how a good review can help us decide what to watch without telling us what we’re supposed to think. A review isn’t just a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. At its best, it’s a thoughtful conversation about how a film works—and who might connect with it.
