- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Say Hester and Hester got it finett a five.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Wre's Drop Control.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Caine Studio.
- 0:19Speaker 3: It's off the Bench, all right, welcome back in our
- 0:32Speaker 3: number three here on Off the Bench Live from the
- 0:36Speaker 3: Raising Cane Studio. Time flies when you're having some fun.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I can't believe it's already in the third hour. Flynn
- 0:44Speaker 3: Alandra Tate in studio came the dog on the down
- 0:51Speaker 3: instead of word all week pretty much an awful co host.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We got the Super Big Game coming up this weekend.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Some call the Super Bowl, some call it the Big Game,
- 1:04Speaker 3: depending on how you're using it in a phrase and
- 1:07Speaker 3: what airwaves you're using. Taylor, you kind of like brought
- 1:13Speaker 3: the house down yesterday with some fantastic fun facts and
- 1:19Speaker 3: some ways to really get some deep thought into the
- 1:22Speaker 3: outcome of this game. Of course, we talked about God's
- 1:26Speaker 3: locks with the Pope, the new Pope sending the Seahawks
- 1:30Speaker 3: every time there's a new Pope sending the Seahawks. We
- 1:33Speaker 3: talked about teams that travel West always winning if they're
- 1:39Speaker 3: playing teams that are traveling east? What else was there?
- 1:43Speaker 3: What am I missing? Drake May's last name, Drake May's
- 1:48Speaker 3: last night. There's never been there's never been a quarterback
- 1:52Speaker 3: to win a Super Bowl with four letters or less
- 1:55Speaker 3: in his last name. And there's also never been a
- 1:57Speaker 3: quarterback with the initials d M in the Super Bowl,
- 2:01Speaker 3: which your.
- 2:02Speaker 4: First name and last name end in the same letter.
- 2:05Speaker 3: That's here, that's right. So now you've got a lot
- 2:11Speaker 3: to live up to here. But did you do some
- 2:13Speaker 3: deep dives? Did you scour the internet? Did you find
- 2:15Speaker 3: the end of the internet? These are better?
- 2:19Speaker 4: I think so.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Don't that's that you don't do that. That's a that's
- 2:24Speaker 3: a rooky mistake. You don't do that. Don't build it
- 2:26Speaker 3: up too much.
- 2:26Speaker 4: They'll be there'll be a give and take, you know something.
- 2:28Speaker 4: But I think it's better. It's a deeper it's a
- 2:31Speaker 4: deeper die for sure. Look the first one. We'll give
- 2:34Speaker 4: the Patriots a little bit of love here. This actually
- 2:36Speaker 4: came from CBS.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Uh.
- 2:38Speaker 4: It's the tenth Super Bowl rematch in NFL history. The
- 2:41Speaker 4: winner of the first meeting six and three in the
- 2:43Speaker 4: second meeting. So advantage of New England on that one.
- 2:47Speaker 4: That's the boring one. Let's get that out of the way, okay.
- 2:49Speaker 4: And also these came from me, like I I I
- 2:52Speaker 4: scoured the globes and the interweb.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yesterday to do that. From Walker right here, okay.
- 2:57Speaker 4: So the then actually shout out to Jake Pastor his
- 3:00Speaker 4: comment about Dan Marino losing the Super Bowl in the
- 3:04Speaker 4: Bay Area. I started thinking, Hey, are there any other similarities.
- 3:09Speaker 4: There's a lot. So Jake kind of had that idea
- 3:12Speaker 4: in my head. I want to do some digging. So
- 3:15Speaker 4: Dan Marino lost the Super Bowl obviously initials DM in
- 3:20Speaker 4: the Bay Area. Now it wasn't in San Francisco, but
- 3:22Speaker 4: it was right there was a Stanford Stadium in Santa Clara.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Who did he lose that game to the San Francisco
- 3:27Speaker 4: forty nine ers where this game is taking place. Dan
- 3:31Speaker 4: Marino Drake May obviously both DM. Initial wise, Dan Marino
- 3:37Speaker 4: made the Super Bowl in his second season when he
- 3:40Speaker 4: was just twenty three years old. Drake May is in
- 3:43Speaker 4: his second year and he is also twenty three years old.
- 3:46Speaker 4: He will be twenty four in August. Dan Marino squad
- 3:50Speaker 4: fourteen regular season wins New England Patriots fourteen and three
- 3:55Speaker 4: in the regular season under Drake May. This year is
- 3:57Speaker 4: sure other similarity and this is the one you're really
- 4:02Speaker 4: gonna love. Okay, Well, so, first off, the Seahawks and
- 4:07Speaker 4: Niners who Marino lost to the Niners both one seeds.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Okay in the NFC coming.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Into that game, Damn Marino lost to San Francisco forty
- 4:18Speaker 4: nine Ers quarterback Joe Montana. If you combine his first
- 4:22Speaker 4: and last names, that is a total of ten letters.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Oh boy, Sam Donald, ten letters first and last name.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I like that one. That one's a good one. So
- 4:32Speaker 3: DM's not good in the Bay Area versus ten letter
- 4:36Speaker 3: quarterback names. You didn't write a column on this. This
- 4:43Speaker 3: needs to be national names now.
- 4:44Speaker 4: But Joe Montana ten letters, Sam Donald ten letters both
- 4:47Speaker 4: the one seed and then the Marina Drake May comparisons
- 4:51Speaker 4: are off the charts.
- 4:51Speaker 3: They're off the charts both in the AFC East as well.
- 5:00Speaker 3: So Seahawks, right, All signs, all signs that you have
- 5:05Speaker 3: told us in the last two days do point to
- 5:07Speaker 3: the Seahawks winning, which is probably all those reasons are
- 5:10Speaker 3: probably why they're four and that point favorite currently.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Right, I mean the pope gives them two points. Anyways,
- 5:16Speaker 4: I mean, that's that's the biggest one of all, just
- 5:19Speaker 4: them making it there. But no, I mean, look, Marino
- 5:22Speaker 4: twenty three years old, Drake May twenty three, second season
- 5:26Speaker 4: from both of them, both twenty three years old in
- 5:30Speaker 4: their letters, both in the same division. I mean, it's
- 5:33Speaker 4: just both playing this game in the Bay Area and
- 5:37Speaker 4: Marino actually lost to the forty nine Ers.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I mean, it's.
- 5:41Speaker 4: It's a lot.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Pope Leo is from Chicago, right, Yes, first American pope
- 5:49Speaker 3: gotta think he's a Bears fan, which.
- 5:52Speaker 4: I know he's a White Sox fan for baseball, He's
- 5:55Speaker 4: got to be a Bears fan, which means he's probably
- 5:59Speaker 4: a Caleb william Was fan, which means he probably is
- 6:04Speaker 4: not a Drake mayfan because they're in the same draft class,
- 6:07Speaker 4: and he probably wants Callab Williams to be the best
- 6:08Speaker 4: quarterback out of that draft class.
- 6:10Speaker 3: So I would say he's probably rooting against him against
- 6:13Speaker 3: the Patriots. I would imagine it's like when uh man,
- 6:16Speaker 3: you gotta think, so you gotta think the Pope wants
- 6:18Speaker 3: the Seahawks to win.
- 6:19Speaker 4: The Steelers Ravens game winner went to the playoffs, remember,
- 6:22Speaker 4: and the Steelers had the uh the priests come in
- 6:24Speaker 4: and bless the end zone, which is where the Ravens
- 6:26Speaker 4: missed it. A lot of things lined up this year.
- 6:30Speaker 4: I mean that happened.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Do you feel like, how do you feel about this?
- 6:33Speaker 3: There's a lot of Pope correlation here. Yeah, yeah, you're
- 6:39Speaker 3: not lockdown, You're not buying this whole initial thing.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I honestly didn't hear what the fun fact. I'm sorry.
- 6:47Speaker 3: You got a lot to do. You got a lot
- 6:49Speaker 3: of Budds bush back, there a lot.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Of I mean, I I'm Catholic, so I'm obviously going
- 6:56Speaker 5: with the Pope's team. Like it's the Seahawks. He's telling like,
- 7:02Speaker 5: look at the signs. Sometimes you don't want to see
- 7:04Speaker 5: the signs.
- 7:05Speaker 3: They're unbelievable and undeniable. So let's not deny it. Their
- 7:09Speaker 3: four and a half point favorites for a reason. I
- 7:12Speaker 3: wonder if anybody at media Row is talking about these things.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Probably not.
- 7:18Speaker 4: No, Yeah, you're not getting this gun info. And I
- 7:23Speaker 4: know what you're gonna say. No one cares as much.
- 7:25Speaker 4: No one in media Row has this kind of time
- 7:27Speaker 4: on their hands. Guys, That's exactly what it boils down to.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Good for the ESPN team at unsportsman like that show,
- 7:33Speaker 3: the show that, of course has aired on on one
- 7:36Speaker 3: of four five here before that we start. They are
- 7:40Speaker 3: usually on the East Coast, so they start at They're
- 7:43Speaker 3: not like a six am East Coast, so they start
- 7:45Speaker 3: at like five am Central time. Well, they had their
- 7:49Speaker 3: show going today.
- 7:51Speaker 5: On Media Row. On Media Row, I bet it was
- 7:53Speaker 5: quiet as hell?
- 7:55Speaker 3: What Tom?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Because his thirt six R Tom?
- 7:58Speaker 3: What have about? I think it would have been four
- 7:59Speaker 3: am their time. They must have started. Maybe they started
- 8:01Speaker 3: an hour later, but they were on and I got
- 8:04Speaker 3: in my cart like five forty five this morning, and
- 8:07Speaker 3: they're usually they usually start at five pm Central, which
- 8:10Speaker 3: would be I guess that. Yeah, there'd be three am
- 8:16Speaker 3: West Coast, so I don't know. They started at four
- 8:18Speaker 3: or five am this morning West Coast. So shout out
- 8:20Speaker 3: to them. Now. They all sounded pretty pretty tired, pretty bad. Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 3: but they got there, they woke up.
- 8:29Speaker 5: I just there's nobody in the I doubt there's anybody
- 8:32Speaker 5: in the convention center at five.
- 8:34Speaker 3: There's probably like so there's.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Shows, and probably no reason to do your show from
- 8:38Speaker 5: there if there's nobody there. That was the whole reason
- 8:41Speaker 5: why Off the Bench didn't go because we would have
- 8:43Speaker 5: had to we couldn't work it out with Jake's schedule,
- 8:46Speaker 5: and we would have had to be there at five
- 8:47Speaker 5: in the morning. There's literally no point in doing that.
- 8:50Speaker 5: So yeah, shout out to them.
- 8:51Speaker 3: I guess. I guess they have like other obligations they got,
- 8:55Speaker 3: like I'm sure they have an ESPN like super Bowl party.
- 8:58Speaker 3: They got a network. It's probably part of their con track,
- 9:00Speaker 3: which is great. But how much can you network when
- 9:02Speaker 3: you got to go to bed at like seven because
- 9:05Speaker 3: you got your show starts at three.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's so funny. When I was getting out of the truck,
- 9:09Speaker 4: I had on Sportsman like on in the background, and
- 9:12Speaker 4: as I'm getting out it's about six am, They're like,
- 9:15Speaker 4: Damian Woody joining us. Next, I'm like, why the hell
- 9:18Speaker 4: is Damian Woody in that convention center? And no doubt
- 9:21Speaker 4: he's not doing a show.
- 9:23Speaker 3: No, he came there specifically because he had a contractual
- 9:28Speaker 3: obligation to be there at that time. Because my god,
- 9:32Speaker 3: what did you so? Yeah, I wouldn't. I wasn't like
- 9:35Speaker 3: too sad we weren't at the show starting at five am.
- 9:40Speaker 3: You're right there, there's no one there to interview, no point.
- 9:43Speaker 3: That's the reason you're there is to go and interview,
- 9:45Speaker 3: and those people get interviewed, they want to be interviewed
- 9:47Speaker 3: because they're all like selling some sort of random product.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Yeah, or even to have some sort of like background noise.
- 9:52Speaker 5: I'm sure it just sounded like they were echoing.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so map bad news. Moscowna stole one of our
- 9:59Speaker 4: interviews yesterday. What yep, five to fifteen segment, Jacob pastor.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yep.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Jake went on the show, and you know what it
- 10:08Speaker 4: was used me. It was a full ten minute segment.
- 10:13Speaker 3: You know what. I texted Jake a little while ago.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Guess what. Guess what I responded with, Uh, crickets nothing nothing.
- 10:24Speaker 4: He went on with the map.
- 10:26Speaker 3: He's given us as much content today as Caine the
- 10:29Speaker 3: Dog is. King's cute, though Cae is cute. I'm saving
- 10:40Speaker 3: the our official Super Bowl predictions. That's gonna be tomorrow.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We are going to do tomorrow. We're going to do
- 10:50Speaker 3: a prop bet pontoon parlay. Now, this isn't the prop
- 10:54Speaker 3: bet that we've been doing all week, like the random ones.
- 10:56Speaker 3: These are like the actual like receiving yards, turnovers, passing yards, touchdowns.
- 11:02Speaker 3: So I want everybody to study up a little bit.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We are going to do a Pontoo parlay tomorrow as
- 11:08Speaker 3: well as well as our Super Bowl predictions or excuse me,
- 11:11Speaker 3: super big Game. Bowl.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Gotta tell you, it's gonna be hard to not pick
- 11:19Speaker 4: the Seahawks after all these all these connections.
- 11:23Speaker 5: You just gotta look at the godlocks.
- 11:25Speaker 3: God looks well the Seahawks are. The Seahawks on paper,
- 11:29Speaker 3: are the better team. They're a really good team. Uh,
- 11:32Speaker 3: there's no weaknesses. They have a fantastic defense. How are
- 11:34Speaker 3: they going to How is the Patriots going to attack
- 11:37Speaker 3: that defense? Now? Patriots defense? Of course, there's no slouches themselves.
- 11:41Speaker 3: The Seahawks have proven all year that they can win
- 11:44Speaker 3: these defensive matchups. Sam Darnold doesn't like have to be
- 11:48Speaker 3: a world beater to win games because he has such
- 11:51Speaker 3: a good They've won some tight, low scoring games that
- 11:54Speaker 3: they are completely capable of playing that well. The same
- 11:57Speaker 3: can be said for the Patriots as well. I think
- 12:02Speaker 3: it's a I think it's the more the closer I'm
- 12:05Speaker 3: getting to it. I don't know if it's Because'm getting
- 12:06Speaker 3: closer to the game. The more the closer I'm getting
- 12:08Speaker 3: to the game, the more excited I am about the matchup.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I know there's we've talked about it all week. There's
- 12:15Speaker 3: not as much juice to this game as we would
- 12:17Speaker 3: certainly like, but we've but the closer I'm getting, I
- 12:21Speaker 3: am getting excited. We set up. We're gonna be hosting
- 12:23Speaker 3: a little bit of super Bowl party at the house too.
- 12:25Speaker 4: It's just gonna be me and Victoria. But I'm gonna
- 12:27Speaker 4: play the uh, what'd you call it? The super Bowl
- 12:29Speaker 4: Squares game?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Super Bowl Squares.
- 12:31Speaker 4: I've never done it, really, and I think I think
- 12:33Speaker 4: I think me and Victoria gonna do it this year.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I think. So it's one hundred squares to fill out,
- 12:37Speaker 3: though Bud is one hundred squares.
- 12:40Speaker 4: They're like an abbreviated like twenty.
- 12:43Speaker 3: No, because like you gotta go. You gotta go to
- 12:46Speaker 3: your columns and your rows all zero through nine horizontally
- 12:51Speaker 3: on the on the columns, then on the rose zero
- 12:55Speaker 3: through nine. I think it was like fine, and then
- 12:58Speaker 3: one side is like the Seahawks, so I'll be the Patriots.
- 13:00Speaker 3: So you take the last number of the score for that,
- 13:03Speaker 3: and then you you see which sell it's on, and
- 13:08Speaker 3: that person wins the first quarter, pot second quarter, pot,
- 13:11Speaker 3: third quarter, fourth quarter, in the game, it's a great game.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Well, I'm gonna have to print this out when I
- 13:17Speaker 4: get home and work on this today.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be tough. It'll two person squares game. It'll
- 13:22Speaker 3: be tough because it's usually like you put a dollar
- 13:24Speaker 3: in for a square or whatever whatever dollar amount you
- 13:27Speaker 3: want to do. Or maybe it's not a dollar, man,
- 13:29Speaker 3: maybe it's maybe it's a beer, maybe it's whatever, some
- 13:34Speaker 3: sort of anti for each square.
- 13:37Speaker 4: You know what we may do, We may we may
- 13:38Speaker 4: uh may alter it a little bit, make our own
- 13:43Speaker 4: thinking like blank bingo cards. She gets one, I get one,
- 13:46Speaker 4: Let's fill them out.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you can do it well that type of thing. Yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 3: I gave you a prop bet twenty three questions you
- 13:54Speaker 3: could do with her. That'd be a fun one true
- 13:57Speaker 3: because like people that don't like watch a lot of ball,
- 14:00Speaker 3: they just they're there for the entertainment. They're not gonna
- 14:02Speaker 3: like care about is it seven and a half receptions
- 14:06Speaker 3: for this player. They're gonna care about the color Gatorade
- 14:09Speaker 3: national anth everybody can get into the link to the
- 14:11Speaker 3: national anthem. Celebrities on commercials. I think they like that anyway.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Moral of the story is the closer we get to
- 14:20Speaker 3: this game as little juice as we kind of had
- 14:22Speaker 3: towards the beginning of the week. I'm getting more excited
- 14:25Speaker 3: about the matchup the more we talk about it. Drake
- 14:27Speaker 3: May has a shoulder injury. They're saying as well, nobody
- 14:31Speaker 3: really knows what that is. But I got a hard
- 14:33Speaker 3: time believing that's anything too serious. I'm reading something right now.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I haven't read this yet. The second youngest quarterback to
- 14:41Speaker 3: start a Super Bowl Drake Man? Is that right? Well,
- 14:48Speaker 3: in fact check it. But we're going to come back.
- 14:52Speaker 3: We are going to do Do we have Munchie's next
- 14:54Speaker 3: segment or is that nine to thirty? Yeah, all right,
- 14:56Speaker 3: next segment fantastic. We got chef Michael Johnson, you head
- 15:00Speaker 3: executive chef to the stars over there, to the athletes
- 15:03Speaker 3: over there. You're gonna join us far weekly segment that
- 15:05Speaker 3: we love every single week. So stick was, We'll come
- 15:08Speaker 3: back and get a little Munchi's going right here on

- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's cool.
- 17:17Speaker 3: So what's going on? How we doing this week?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Oh man? Enjoying the weather?
- 17:21Speaker 3: Yeah right, yeah? You done any You shot anything this week?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Doing any Huh?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Went holl coutting last weekend. But I've been I've been
- 17:30Speaker 2: enjoying the warmth of my home this week.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Yeah. There.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I tolerate the thirties, but when it gets down into
- 17:35Speaker 2: the twenties, I get a little you know, my knee
- 17:37Speaker 2: sees up.
- 17:40Speaker 3: No more hiking around, No, we're stalking out there. Well, chef,
- 17:44Speaker 3: we got uh we got the super Bowl this weekend?
- 17:47Speaker 3: Are you you you do you get excited for the
- 17:50Speaker 3: Super Bowl, like the game itself, or is it just
- 17:52Speaker 3: more kind of the act, the thought of it's the
- 17:55Speaker 3: final football game of the year, to congregate with some
- 17:58Speaker 3: friends and family and just le's having a little good
- 18:00Speaker 3: little time.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Well, I'm I'm, I'm. You know, like I absolutely get
- 18:04Speaker 2: excited about it when the Chiefs renting because that's my team.
- 18:07Speaker 2: But uh yeah, I'd like to watch the Super Bowl,
- 18:09Speaker 2: and especially because you know, I say the Chiefs for
- 18:13Speaker 2: my team. But now since I've been here at LSU
- 18:15Speaker 2: and we've graduated and and and had so many guys
- 18:18Speaker 2: draft and go to the pros, it's really difficult not
- 18:21Speaker 2: to cheer for other teams. And you know, like there's
- 18:24Speaker 2: teams that I absolutely loathe, and I have somebody that's
- 18:26Speaker 2: worked that plays for that team, and so you know,
- 18:28Speaker 2: like I'll play for I'll cheer for him. You know
- 18:31Speaker 2: they're on defense. A cheer for the linebacker, you know whatever.
- 18:34Speaker 2: But you know, we got five guys playing for the
- 18:38Speaker 2: Pats this weekend. And you know, I worked for the
- 18:40Speaker 2: I worked for the Seahawks for three years, so you
- 18:43Speaker 2: know that's a that's a tough split for me. Man.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I you know, I have a a real emotional spot
- 18:50Speaker 2: for working for the Seahawks. But you know, we we
- 18:53Speaker 2: have five plays for the Pats and so that's that's
- 18:56Speaker 2: a tough thing to hear against, right, So I'm.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Going to bring that up, Becau as you did. You had,
- 19:00Speaker 3: you know a few years with working for the Seahawks
- 19:04Speaker 3: and working up there in Seattle, which, like Seattle is
- 19:07Speaker 3: a fantastic culinary spot too, with all the fresh seafood
- 19:11Speaker 3: and like different types of seafood, certainly than we get
- 19:13Speaker 3: down here in the Gulf. I had so many like
- 19:16Speaker 3: cool things up there that I've never even heard of
- 19:18Speaker 3: down here. So how was that experience, like, well, do
- 19:21Speaker 3: you have like any memorable experience like specifically that was
- 19:24Speaker 3: sea like around the Seahawks where there was during a
- 19:27Speaker 3: game with players or anything like that.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Well, first of all, they treated me really well. You know,
- 19:32Speaker 2: I only left the Seahawks to move down here to
- 19:35Speaker 2: be closer to my kids that had been you know,
- 19:38Speaker 2: unfortunate circumstance of divorce, and so you know, I had
- 19:41Speaker 2: been looking to move down here and so God found
- 19:44Speaker 2: me this job, and I'm grateful for LSU. But the
- 19:46Speaker 2: Seahawks treated me amazingly well, and one of my favorite
- 19:50Speaker 2: things you know, to tout about, I guess is when
- 19:52Speaker 2: I got to the Seahawks, were they were ranked twenty
- 19:57Speaker 2: eight out of thirty two teams in the Voice of
- 19:59Speaker 2: the So the Voice of the Fans survey is they
- 20:02Speaker 2: send out emails to all of their season ticket holders
- 20:05Speaker 2: and get feedback as to the food and the culture
- 20:08Speaker 2: of the building and so on and so forth. So
- 20:10Speaker 2: when they brought me over there, I resigned from the
- 20:13Speaker 2: Mariners and went over to the Seahawks. We were ranked
- 20:15Speaker 2: twenty eighth out of thirty two, and before the season
- 20:18Speaker 2: was over, we were ranked third. And so you know
- 20:21Speaker 2: that it was a change of culture. It was in
- 20:26Speaker 2: supportive of Seahawks, right, Like they that's what they were
- 20:28Speaker 2: looking for. They wanted a culture shift in the building.
- 20:31Speaker 2: And we went from hot dogs and beer to you know,
- 20:35Speaker 2: pork belly bond me and just developed all these really
- 20:39Speaker 2: cool We kind of brought a taste of Seattle into
- 20:41Speaker 2: the building, right and in doing so, I got to
- 20:45Speaker 2: socialize with all these shifts. And you know inside in Seattle,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and we had a street market there that was we
- 20:53Speaker 2: it was in the stadium that we brought you know,
- 20:56Speaker 2: street tacos in and and ty ty curry and and
- 21:00Speaker 2: stuff like that. And so we were trying to create
- 21:02Speaker 2: a cross section of Seattle in the building, and in
- 21:05Speaker 2: doing that, I built all these relationships with chefs. And man,
- 21:08Speaker 2: there's not too many places I can walk into in
- 21:11Speaker 2: Seattle and not know the chef and then be like, oh,
- 21:14Speaker 2: you know, like, hey, dude, great to see you. Here's
- 21:17Speaker 2: here's to see you know, We're going to take care
- 21:19Speaker 2: of you, you know. And it's never like I'm never
- 21:22Speaker 2: expecting anything, and they're always you know, they get upset
- 21:26Speaker 2: if I don't say that I'm there right like you're
- 21:28Speaker 2: supposed to let me know when you come. So your
- 21:30Speaker 2: dining experience is great. So I don't know that there
- 21:33Speaker 2: was a deep amount of camaraderie amongst the culinarians there,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and it's just something I think is really beautiful.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Do you think that, like Seattle is not from like
- 21:45Speaker 3: a bougie standpoint, but like one of the more foody
- 21:47Speaker 3: cities that doesn't really get talked about in.
- 21:49Speaker 2: That Absolutely, you know, the food to table culture up
- 21:53Speaker 2: there is incredible and and and the camaraderie amongst it
- 21:57Speaker 2: is incredible. You know that they're they're very much in
- 21:59Speaker 2: touch with the environment, which I applaud. You know, it's
- 22:02Speaker 2: not just reaping and and and and taking. You know,
- 22:06Speaker 2: there's a there's a thoughtfulness to the to the people
- 22:08Speaker 2: who bring you the food. There's a thoughtfulness to the
- 22:12Speaker 2: process that it takes to bring the food to you,
- 22:15Speaker 2: be the fishermen or the or the appleformers or you know,
- 22:19Speaker 2: I mean, and and the beer and the and the
- 22:21Speaker 2: wine and the cider and all that ties into it
- 22:24Speaker 2: as well. You know, it's uh, I don't know, the
- 22:29Speaker 2: food scene up there is really strong and and you
- 22:31Speaker 2: know it's not to compare it to the oil as
- 22:33Speaker 2: the Orleans is incredible and wonderful, just in a different way.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Right. Yeah, you can get lost in that food. The
- 22:39Speaker 3: famous food market of there, you can get lost in that.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You know what I love about Seattle though, is it
- 22:43Speaker 2: has a very rich, authentic culture from uh, you know,
- 22:49Speaker 2: ethnic foods. The taie curry that there is is you know,
- 22:53Speaker 2: like it's superb, and the and the you know, the
- 22:56Speaker 2: Japanese sushi is run by Japanese people, and it's you know, like, uh,
- 23:01Speaker 2: this guy Sheiro that I worked with, he was incredible, man,
- 23:04Speaker 2: I mean one of my favorite dining experiences ever happened
- 23:08Speaker 2: in his restaurant, right. And so it's not just the
- 23:11Speaker 2: mom and pop and the and the you know, comfort
- 23:14Speaker 2: foods that that flourish up there. They have some really
- 23:16Speaker 2: great ethnic foods that are super authentic and uh, you know,
- 23:20Speaker 2: it's enjoyable.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah, no one knows. No one's gonna know what I
- 23:23Speaker 3: what I mean when I say this, but you'll know
- 23:25Speaker 3: what I mean when when you first taste a Copper
- 23:28Speaker 3: River salmon.
- 23:29Speaker 2: You know, it's my guys, it is too you know.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And people think that I'm bougie because of this, but
- 23:35Speaker 2: I don't. I don't eat Atlantic salmon. I don't like
- 23:37Speaker 2: Atlantic salmon. I like the Pacific salmon, and Copper River
- 23:40Speaker 2: salmon is even you know, like that's the salmon of
- 23:43Speaker 2: salmon's if you will, you know, like it's clean water,
- 23:46Speaker 2: fresh cold, clean water, and man, it's it's beautiful. And
- 23:50Speaker 2: even the Columbia River salmon, you know. Uh. And and
- 23:53Speaker 2: I kind of people think I'm weird about this, but
- 23:55Speaker 2: I love I love steelhead trout. And part of the
- 23:59Speaker 2: reason I love steelhead trout is because it is a
- 24:02Speaker 2: it's a it's a you know, elusive creature to fish, right,
- 24:07Speaker 2: and so I mean, if you've ever been fishing for
- 24:09Speaker 2: a steelhead on a small river, you know, like they
- 24:13Speaker 2: it's super clear water up there that they can see
- 24:15Speaker 2: you coming. They don't bite, They don't feed the same
- 24:18Speaker 2: way fish down here doof out of aggression or territorialism,
- 24:21Speaker 2: you know, like they they bat it with their head
- 24:24Speaker 2: and it's super frustrating.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Man.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You have to have you have to know what's going on,
- 24:27Speaker 2: and it'll take you years to perfect, you know, even
- 24:31Speaker 2: catching a fish. And so eating a steelhead every time
- 24:35Speaker 2: I eat when, I'm like, yeah, here we go one
- 24:37Speaker 2: for me?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, uh all right, So, speaking of fish, we
- 24:41Speaker 3: got some questions here in the chat hashtag montries. We're
- 24:45Speaker 3: doing a fish fry for the Super Bowl. What's seasoning
- 24:47Speaker 3: does chef prefer in his fry batter?
- 24:51Speaker 2: You know? Usually I just kind of make my own
- 24:52Speaker 2: with garlic stuff. I have relationships with with Tony Seafood
- 24:59Speaker 2: and and Tony Sasuaries, you know, so I don't ever
- 25:02Speaker 2: shy away from either one of those places. But it's
- 25:04Speaker 2: gonna be a Louisiana seasoning, you know, like I don't know,
- 25:08Speaker 2: it's it's difficult for me to get away from Tony's
- 25:10Speaker 2: just because it's it's familiar and it's everywhere right. But
- 25:15Speaker 2: I love the people at Louisiana Fish right too. So
- 25:17Speaker 2: I think either one of those is an easy one.
- 25:20Speaker 2: But I also like making my own. I like it spicy.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I like it, you know, kind of kind of different.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I put, you know, like powdered black garlic in my stuff.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Sometimes I just play around with it. Man. Even when
- 25:31Speaker 2: I find something I like, I might tweak it next
- 25:33Speaker 2: time because I might like it even better. So I
- 25:36Speaker 2: just encourage people to, you know, if it works and
- 25:38Speaker 2: the kids are eating it and you enjoy it, do it,
- 25:41Speaker 2: you know great, write it down and share it with
- 25:42Speaker 2: your kids, like your grandma did.
- 25:44Speaker 3: There you go right on a note card and like
- 25:46Speaker 3: the measurements mean nothing. We have one. We have one
- 25:49Speaker 3: recipe from my grandmother and it says, it's just a
- 25:52Speaker 3: hunk of butter. Yeah, huk a hunk of butter.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Baby, there's not a hunk too big.
- 25:58Speaker 3: There's not a hunk too man. That's right, munchies. What's
- 26:02Speaker 3: on Chef's Super Bowl menu for.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Sunday, Oh man, relaxation is number one. Yeah. I usually
- 26:11Speaker 2: I usually go for the easy beings. Man, I'm a
- 26:13Speaker 2: fan of I'm a fan of wings in football. And
- 26:15Speaker 2: call me simple or whatever. Man, it's a matter or not,
- 26:18Speaker 2: you know, Like I just I like wings, man, and
- 26:22Speaker 2: I might even I might even throw some in the fridge.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I don't know if you know that about me, Matt.
- 26:26Speaker 2: You know, like I like cold fried chickens.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Colds amazing, cold wing cold grilled wings are incredible. Grilled
- 26:34Speaker 3: for sure.
- 26:34Speaker 2: No, And I don't like a bread either, Like I
- 26:37Speaker 2: like cold you know, like cold fried naked wings. Yep.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I like nothing better than like a smoked or grilled wing.
- 26:44Speaker 3: And then after it is then toss it in a
- 26:47Speaker 3: little buffalo sauce and so yeah, yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 2: You got something there. And we actually do a sweet
- 26:52Speaker 2: tea Brian on our wings here before we smoke them.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And it's incredible, you know. You you basically make sweet
- 26:58Speaker 2: tea and salt the heck out of it so that
- 27:00Speaker 2: it's a brine, and you put a ton of sugar
- 27:02Speaker 2: in it. You have like you have two to one
- 27:04Speaker 2: salt sugar, and then you brew your sweet tea and
- 27:07Speaker 2: you soak them overnight and and then smoke them. And
- 27:11Speaker 2: I'll tell you what, brother, Yeah, it's something that will
- 27:15Speaker 2: make you.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Validate speaking of the language with wings right there. Hey, Jeff,
- 27:20Speaker 3: So a couple of years ago for a Super Bowl party,
- 27:22Speaker 3: we had some friends come over and enjoy the game.
- 27:25Speaker 3: But we always like to do some sort of like
- 27:27Speaker 3: you know, theme or something. For this one specific one,
- 27:30Speaker 3: we did a butter tasting. So all butter is a
- 27:33Speaker 3: little bit different. So we were trying to figure out
- 27:36Speaker 3: which store bought butter was the absolute best. So we
- 27:39Speaker 3: had like the same pieces of bread. We had all
- 27:41Speaker 3: these blind taste tests of butter, and so I wanted
- 27:44Speaker 3: to ask you, like, do you make your own butter
- 27:46Speaker 3: or do you have like a preferred butter that you buy.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I'm sure there's like a everyday cooking butter, but then
- 27:50Speaker 3: there's like this butter when you got this nice piece
- 27:53Speaker 3: of sourdough bread, you got some sort of something you
- 27:55Speaker 3: want to like spice it up a little bit.
- 27:57Speaker 2: So I always use on salts of butter. I don't
- 27:59Speaker 2: like to use salted butter. So whatever it is, it's
- 28:01Speaker 2: almost it's almost certainly going to be an unsalted butter.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And I you know, like price per pounds, I don't
- 28:09Speaker 2: know if you've ever had those rolls of Amish butter.
- 28:11Speaker 2: But I absolutely love it.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Man. It's it's exactly.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's you know, like it might it might be twenty
- 28:19Speaker 2: dollars for that big role, but it's like three pounds
- 28:21Speaker 2: of butter, and you know, like it's it's not an
- 28:25Speaker 2: it might be twenty bucks, but it's good butter man.
- 28:27Speaker 2: And you know, like you have to pay attention to
- 28:30Speaker 2: you have to appreciate that the must have their process right.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And I don't know, there's there's Plu grub that's that's
- 28:35Speaker 2: pretty good, and there's the Irish butter, and you know,
- 28:38Speaker 2: like I know that European cream style butters are really
- 28:41Speaker 2: good and all of them have the pros and cons.
- 28:43Speaker 2: But if it's me buying, I almost feel for that Amish,
- 28:47Speaker 2: that Amish butter. Man, it's it. You know, it's really
- 28:50Speaker 2: great for the price structure that it is, and it's
- 28:53Speaker 2: it's a it's a hunk of butter.
- 28:55Speaker 3: It's a hunk of but it's a wholesale option right there. Yes,
- 28:59Speaker 3: I say, I'll tell you there was bolts from ours.
- 29:01Speaker 3: It was Presidente butter came in second, Okay, Plu grit
- 29:04Speaker 3: came in first. Now price parounce now and we ain't
- 29:07Speaker 3: touching the Amish butter. Price barounce, but if you're looking
- 29:10Speaker 3: to impress a little bit, it was. It was pretty fantastic.
- 29:12Speaker 3: And we also had like the we had all sorts
- 29:14Speaker 3: of different salts as well that people brought, like a
- 29:16Speaker 3: black lava salid of pink sod. It was. It was
- 29:18Speaker 3: a bougy little tasting.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got plue gri in my refrigerator right now.
- 29:21Speaker 5: Brothers.
- 29:22Speaker 2: The place that used to sell the Amige butter doesn't
- 29:25Speaker 2: sell it anymore, but.
- 29:28Speaker 3: You gotta settle for the plu gris.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, I got it.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Well, Chef, we can't thank you enough for the time.
- 29:34Speaker 3: We hope you have a great weekend, get that rest,
- 29:35Speaker 3: get you a little nap for Super Bowl. We enjoy
- 29:37Speaker 3: some commercials, and I hope somebody cooks you wings this weekend.
- 29:42Speaker 2: To brother, that's a good idea.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So I appreciate We talk to you
- 29:46Speaker 3: next week. Are there there he is, Chef Michael Johnson.
- 29:50Speaker 3: I love talking to him, such great insight, And uh,
- 29:53Speaker 3: I know we kind of got off on the the
- 29:55Speaker 3: Seattle culinary thing, but I could imagine that him being
- 29:58Speaker 3: up there like, it's a pretty cool deal up there.
- 30:00Speaker 3: The seafood up there is fantastic, So I got to
- 30:03Speaker 3: imagine that he might be subtly pulling for the Seahawks
- 30:07Speaker 3: just because of food. Anyway, we're gonna close out the
- 30:12Speaker 3: show we.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Got, you know about the Pope.
- 30:14Speaker 3: That's what I should have brought it up. I should
- 30:16Speaker 3: have brought the pope things. You know, when the Vatican
- 30:19Speaker 3: pops smoked the pops that smoke.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Smoke for anybody.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I don't pop the smoke for anybody, but when they.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Do the Seahawks.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Seahawks go to the Super Big Game Bowl.
- 30:34Speaker 5: We're leaving out Super Big Game Bowl.

- 33:28Speaker 3: there for LSU Athletics right there, a football op. So
- 33:30Speaker 3: you didn't get a chance to listen. Love hearing him
- 33:33Speaker 3: talk about food, Love hearing anybody talk about anything with
- 33:37Speaker 3: a passion that he has for whatever you do, and
- 33:40Speaker 3: you're really good at it. So fantastic stuff. As always
- 33:45Speaker 3: say about for juven me Medical or juveni medical dot com,
- 33:49Speaker 3: do you want to feel like your younger self? You
- 33:51Speaker 3: know they have all sorts of services, whether it's weight loss,
- 33:54Speaker 3: whether it's peptize, whether it's cosmetics, whether it's hormone replacement,
- 33:59Speaker 3: but like specifically, like today, I just I'll tell you, like,
- 34:01Speaker 3: if you want to feel like your younger self, maybe
- 34:02Speaker 3: it's a hormone imbalance men specifically testosterone inbalance. Maybe you're
- 34:08Speaker 3: super low. There used to be like a stigma with this,
- 34:10Speaker 3: like the testosterone and hormone replacement, but no, it's like
- 34:14Speaker 3: a it's a medical deal. Like some people just have
- 34:16Speaker 3: low and if you're feeling lethargic, you're not feeling like
- 34:20Speaker 3: your old self again low energy, maybe there is something wrong,
- 34:25Speaker 3: So go get it checked out, get that blood work taken,
- 34:27Speaker 3: and there's not that sigm anymore. Like it's it's not
- 34:30Speaker 3: about like being that super jack to have roid head
- 34:33Speaker 3: looking dude, No, this is about just being normal, just
- 34:35Speaker 3: getting back to that normal self, feel like your age,
- 34:38Speaker 3: feel young again. So go check them out, give them
- 34:41Speaker 3: a call, just have a conversation. Doesn't mean you have
- 34:42Speaker 3: to do anything. Just give them a call, go see them.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Thirteen locations all over Louisiana. Fantastic facility, fantastic people, all
- 34:49Speaker 3: medically supervised. It's what they do over there, truly is incredible.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Reshape your life, reshape your body, REJUVEI meet medical dot com. Hey,
- 34:59Speaker 3: we got some big news. The Shuck truck. Ross Jackson
- 35:07Speaker 3: just tweeted this out. Saints quarterback Tyler Shuck has officially
- 35:12Speaker 3: been named the twenty twenty five Pepsi zero Sugar NFL
- 35:18Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year. That's right, you heard it. I
- 35:24Speaker 3: said it fast. Pepsi zero Sugar ranked him NFL Rookie
- 35:29Speaker 3: of the Year. Now, of course that's not the NFL
- 35:33Speaker 3: Honors Rookie of the Year award that we will hear tonight,
- 35:36Speaker 3: but it is some sort of recognition for his efforts.
- 35:41Speaker 3: You know, the Pepsi zero Sugar, it's a quarterback award.
- 35:44Speaker 3: We all know that every single year. You can count
- 35:50Speaker 3: on it like clockwork. Are we excited? Is this like
- 35:54Speaker 3: give us hope for tonight? What do you think it
- 35:55Speaker 3: might be a son of things to come? Maybe?
- 35:58Speaker 5: I mean, there's been a lot of talk around him
- 35:59Speaker 5: to the end of the season. I feel like the
- 36:02Speaker 5: odds are pretty in his favor. I know there's a
- 36:06Speaker 5: there's other rookies out there, but Tyler Shuck.
- 36:09Speaker 3: The stats are there, so you think him over tep McMillan, I.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Think he should. I think the only thing holding him
- 36:15Speaker 4: back is maybe people say he hasn't played the whole season,
- 36:17Speaker 4: but based on what we saw, yeah right, I.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Mean McMillan had over a thousand yards.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's the thing team wins to the playoffs.
- 36:25Speaker 4: He contributed in every game a thousand yards. It's hard
- 36:27Speaker 4: to argue.
- 36:29Speaker 5: I'm not saying he's gonna get it, but I mean,
- 36:31Speaker 5: the there's an argument. He just won the Pepsi zero one,
- 36:36Speaker 5: which is.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Huge and the best of huge PEPs zero sugar, And
- 36:41Speaker 3: the biggest argument for him is just because we want him.
- 36:43Speaker 5: To yeah, yeah, pretty much.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Just want him to Yeah, he thinks that you think
- 36:47Speaker 3: this this award right here helps him, like helps his
- 36:50Speaker 3: card value any and they aren't card people, but people
- 36:53Speaker 3: look at it. I think it's a big day for
- 36:55Speaker 3: you some tep McMillan cards. Though it's a win win
- 37:02Speaker 3: for me really for from like a sports cards standpoint,
- 37:05Speaker 3: I should want the Patriots to win as well. We've
- 37:09Speaker 3: got some big boy drinking cards been holden. Does anybody
- 37:17Speaker 3: drink pepsi? No?
- 37:18Speaker 5: But I have a question. Do you always use your
- 37:21Speaker 5: finger to read?
- 37:23Speaker 3: No?
- 37:23Speaker 4: I was just doing it here was I was van
- 37:25Speaker 4: of White. I thought it was great. I even panned
- 37:28Speaker 4: back to you. I had the full tweet pulled up.
- 37:30Speaker 4: I was like, we gotta go back. Folks have to
- 37:32Speaker 4: see this.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Orleans look at this. Of course I know, yeah, it's
- 37:41Speaker 3: not even an L there. No, just got the shape
- 37:43Speaker 3: of Louisiana, which.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Could be an L.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I drink dikoke, I don't drink. I don't drink.
- 37:54Speaker 5: I don't know. I'm a doctor pepper person.
- 37:56Speaker 4: There's only there's only one place I'll drink pepsi at
- 37:58Speaker 4: a Stocco belt, because that's that's the guy.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Doctor pepper there.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I get doctor Pepper.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Well, I got we got mad. We stopped the BUCkies
- 38:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, mobile because they don't have coke in there,
- 38:10Speaker 3: which is.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Weird because BUCkies is Southern.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Like pepsi.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Pepsi is super popular in the Northern States, but down here,
- 38:17Speaker 4: like that's that's kind of weird.
- 38:18Speaker 3: And you could you could buy it in the refrigerator section.
- 38:21Speaker 3: They can or bottle, but the fountain nothing like it
- 38:25Speaker 3: doesn't quite slap as much as it does a convenience
- 38:28Speaker 3: store fountain.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what they did have at the fountain
- 38:31Speaker 5: that Jake almost got that. I almost also got.
- 38:33Speaker 3: What the big red Oh it's right.
- 38:36Speaker 5: I was like, this big red sounds so good. But
- 38:38Speaker 5: it was also eleven o'clock at.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Night Fairy Texas of you.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Yeah, we had just.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Got a coffee, so I was like, let me not
- 38:44Speaker 5: put more sugar than I need to in my body.
- 38:46Speaker 4: They also do like a Bucky like bu lot of
- 38:52Speaker 4: I got that.
- 38:53Speaker 3: It's just like dy cola, but it's a pepsi. It's
- 38:55Speaker 3: a pepsi. I mean there's they got about seven hundred
- 38:58Speaker 3: and fifty thing is to choose from. Yeah, and none
- 39:02Speaker 3: of them, not one diet, coke, not one get out
- 39:06Speaker 3: of here that none of us like pepsi.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Maybe that's a bad open.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Maybe this isn't bad.
- 39:10Speaker 4: I was saying, maybe it's a good sign, but it is.
- 39:14Speaker 5: I mean, he's not out here winning the coke zero.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Can I say it? Can I say Pepsi's kind of trash?
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:19Speaker 4: I think you can say it. I mean, I think
- 39:22Speaker 4: I think that's a popular opinion that cancel culture.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Though I don't want to get canceled.
- 39:26Speaker 5: But I mean it's pretty pepsi heads out there.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's I think you're the vast majority,
- 39:32Speaker 4: don't hear.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Yeah, No, it's trash. Yeah, I can only imagine that
- 39:39Speaker 3: pepsi zero sugar.
- 39:41Speaker 5: Yeah, probably not any good at all.
- 39:44Speaker 3: What's the difference between all those like that, like zero
- 39:48Speaker 3: and diet diet and then another one. It's basically the
- 39:53Speaker 3: same thing. Is it's just like a different artificial sweetener.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Some of them got splendor, some of them got splendor.
- 40:00Speaker 5: We actually, no, I think one.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Has its aspertain they're super lows. Yeah, some other kind
- 40:08Speaker 3: of loss or tame good things upon her. So congratulations,
- 40:15Speaker 3: we think to Tyler, shuck, Now that we've diagnosed this
- 40:18Speaker 3: whole Pepsi situation. We think it might be a bad
- 40:22Speaker 3: sign for tonight. We all on that kind of same page.
- 40:27Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. Well, we're gonna see,
- 40:30Speaker 3: we're gonna cheer him on, We're gonna hope that he wins.
- 40:32Speaker 3: But I do have a feeling it is going to
- 40:35Speaker 3: go to Temman Bellan. Let me see this before we
- 40:37Speaker 3: go to break Coach of the Year. This is going
- 40:40Speaker 3: to be a highly contested one. I think Vrabel is
- 40:44Speaker 3: the odds on favorite to win as of now. But
- 40:47Speaker 3: I don't think there's any other award tonight that has
- 40:50Speaker 3: as many people that probably have a like a really
- 40:53Speaker 3: good claim to this award. That's the toughest one.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Like you look at that list of five, you could
- 41:00Speaker 4: make an argument for all, Like a lot of these
- 41:01Speaker 4: are you know, two man races. But I mean you
- 41:04Speaker 4: look at that Liam Cohen, Ben Johnson, Mike McDonald, Kyle Shanahan,
- 41:09Speaker 4: Mike Frabel, finally one that doesn't belong there.
- 41:14Speaker 3: And you like you have been on the Duval train.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Yeah, Rabel leading the Patriots.
- 41:22Speaker 3: Well, it's not supposed to be about post season, right,
- 41:25Speaker 3: but it should kind of be.
- 41:26Speaker 4: It is though it is though. I mean, it's it's
- 41:30Speaker 4: two days before the Super Bowl, that's when they do
- 41:32Speaker 4: these awards. It is like, I love what Liam Cohen did.
- 41:35Speaker 4: I mean, he did something that literally no other coach
- 41:37Speaker 4: had ever done. Rabel, though, I mean after not even
- 41:41Speaker 4: being a head coach of last year, coming in in
- 41:43Speaker 4: his first season, I think I think it's got to
- 41:45Speaker 4: be Mike Frabel. Ben Johnson has a great claim to
- 41:48Speaker 4: it as well.
- 41:48Speaker 3: But I think any other any other years, I think
- 41:53Speaker 3: Ben Johnson wins. You could say the same thing about
- 41:57Speaker 3: Liam Cohen, say this same thing about Kyle Shanahan in
- 42:01Speaker 3: San Francisco. They've all done outstanding, outstanding jobs this year.
- 42:07Speaker 3: But again, I do think there is some playoff by US.
- 42:10Speaker 5: Now.
- 42:10Speaker 3: I know that the vote does get cut off well before,
- 42:15Speaker 3: just not I don't know exactly when that is, but anyway,
- 42:18Speaker 3: it'll probably be Mike Rabel and rightfully deserve. But you
- 42:21Speaker 3: can also say there's a handful of guys that deserve that.
- 42:23Speaker 3: So NFL you're in a good spot with some young coaches.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Some people did some really amazing things. I mean, hell,
- 42:28Speaker 3: you made the Jaguars good pretty decent. All right, We'll
- 42:33Speaker 3: continue to talk we're going to close out the show.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Get your ask the bench questions in and we will
- 42:39Speaker 3: get to as many of those as we can. Promise you,

- 46:27Speaker 3: M hm. Oh, that's a bench favorite soda to make
- 46:37Speaker 3: a mixed drink with. Sprite's pretty versatile, right, yeah, Sprit's
- 46:41Speaker 3: pretty versatile. Ginger Ale actually a little similar. Ya had
- 46:46Speaker 3: a whiskey and ginger ale before, like a splash though
- 46:48Speaker 3: a lot.
- 46:49Speaker 5: I don't think I ever used any sort of sodas
- 46:51Speaker 5: when I'm drinking. Yeah, just like taught like regular soda,
- 46:55Speaker 5: like club soda, or like a topo.
