Running for Kids Healing from Loss | Richmond News
Laura Hazlett, a Richmond runner and 12-time marathoner, is racing the Sydney Marathon this Sunday to support Comfort Zone Camp — a cause close to her heart after losing her mother in 2019. Inspired by her mom’s love for running, she turned to the sport as healing and now uses every mile to uplift grieving children. This year’s theme — number 12 — marks both her 12th marathon and 12th summer volunteering with the camp. She’s already hit her $5,000 fundraising goal, sending six kids to camp free, but donations are still welcome to help more children heal through comfort and community. Listen…
