  Speaker 2: Be able to apply these verses to their lives.

  Speaker 1: So, tonight I'm kind of doing the on-the-go... again for

  Speaker 1: this episode. I tend to see it as a form
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: of meditation for me and my circumstances.

  Speaker 1: Able to do these episodes to give glory to God

  Speaker 1: and also to be able to learn the verses and

  Speaker 1: be able.

  Speaker 3: To apply them to not.

  Speaker 1: Only my life or your life or being able to

  Speaker 1: do God's will is a thrill. And the more and

  Speaker 1: more that I continue to dive deeper, the more and

  Speaker 1: more I realize how much I should have been doing

  Speaker 1: this a long time ago. But you'll hear a lot

  Speaker 1: of people say, oh, I should have done this a

  Speaker 1: long time ago, even myself, right?

  Speaker 3: But there's no better time than now.

  Speaker 1: The past can still hinder on us. The future is
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: definitely doesn't even exist. The only thing that you can

  Speaker 1: really control is what happens right now. In this time

  Speaker 1: that you're listening to this episode. I hope that you

  Speaker 1: Not only a believer but a follower in Christ. So

  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit not only will the verses speak to you.

  Speaker 1: But the Spirit will speak to you.

  Speaker 1: So I'm going to just go. off of kind of

  Speaker 1: winging it, right? With an angel wing, though. And I

  Speaker 1: say that with all respect to anybody that may be

  Speaker 1: listening that has not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: and Savior. Everybody was once there. Even those that might
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: even seem like they got it going on spiritually. So, anyways,
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter 4, Verse 23, and it states, be very
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: careful to keep your mind safe. The thoughts that you
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: think make you the person that you are. So how
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: do we apply this verse to our lives? Realizing that
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: our thoughts become who we are. The Bible says itself,
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: do not lean on your own understanding.
• 2:55
  Speaker 3: And it also says, be careful. These thoughts that.
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: Sometimes we don't have control over. Now, everybody's situation is different.
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: There's some people that are smarter than others. And there's
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: some people that have disorders. And there's some people, I mean,
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: we can keep going down the list. But we're all imperfectly,
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: we are all perfectly imperfect people.
• 3:22
  Speaker 3: There's something about you that you carry. Hold on one second.
• 3:26
  Speaker 3: There's something that.
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: You carry that I don't carry. There's something that I
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: carry that you don't carry. But we all have the ability.

  Speaker 1: We all have the choice to make to allow the
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit to live in us. The only Spirit that
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: can truly guide you. Not only just to heaven, but
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: to prosper here on earth. To be able to do
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: God's will. The message is the mission. It's just putting
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: yourself in a position to be able to spread the
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: gospel of Jesus Christ.
• 4:03
  Speaker 3: And having the Holy Spirit ring in your life. The
• 4:07
  Speaker 3: Spirit is speaking.
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: I cannot take credit for this, even though this is
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: my platform. This is my show. But I do not
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: run it. 100%. And I've got to give glory to God.

  Speaker 1: I've got to give glory to Jesus and allow the
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit to speak. Proverbs is a great gospel to
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: read and to study. So with that being said, we're
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: going to go back into Proverbs. Because that was in
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: the Bible app as the verse of the day.
• 4:38
  Speaker 3: So we're going to go into... What.

  Speaker 1: Did we have? Proverbs chapter 4. That's what I thought
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: it was. Let's jump back into it. Because obviously... It
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: is really a great gospel.

  Speaker 3: And I want to go here.

  Speaker 1: I want to go to 4. And let's get into

  Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter 4 still as the verse of the day.

  Speaker 1: Verse 11. I am teaching you to be wise so
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: that you will know the right way to live. As
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: you walk through life, nothing will stop you. Even When
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: you run, you will not fall. Keep hold of my teaching.

  Speaker 1: Do not forget it. Keep it safe because it will
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: give you a good life.
• 5:31
  Speaker 3: Let's go deeper.

  Speaker 1: Do not join with wicked or evil people. Do not,
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: do not do the things that they do.
• 5:42
  Speaker 2: Keep away from them.
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: Be sure to keep your own good way of life

  Speaker 1: Wicked people have to do evil things. They cannot go
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: to sleep unless they have been cruel to somebody that day.

  Speaker 1: Evil acts are their food. Violence is their drink. The

  Speaker 1: life of the righteous people is like the sun at dawn.
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: It gets brighter and brighter until midday. But the life
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: of wicked people is like.
• 6:11
  Speaker 3: A very dark road.
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: They cannot even see what causes them to fall. And
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: don't we all fall short of God's standards of living?

  Speaker 1: There is no difference between me and someone else that
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: has a big community that follows them. Whether they're a pastor,
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: whether they're a priest, whether they're a Bible study expert,
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. We all are one in
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: Christ when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

  Speaker 1: Not only that, but we also have this fellowship. For
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: when there are more than two that are gathered in his.
• 7:07
  Speaker 3: Name, he is present. He is present. He picked 12 disciples.
• 7:17
  Speaker 3: But here's the kicker.
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: Those 12 disciples did greater things than even Jesus did.
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: And it does not get too speaked about because of
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: the glory of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 2: We cannot boast in our good deeds.
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: We cannot boast in what it is that we do
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: great because we do not have....
• 7:44
  Speaker 3: Let me rephrase this.

  Speaker 1: We have the authority, but the authority is not ours.
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: It's borrowed. Can I preach a little bit? Can I

  Speaker 3: preach just a little bit?

  Speaker 1: Looking back on my life and realizing that I have
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: lived wrong majority of it and seeing bad examples.

  Speaker 1: I went through all of that experiences to get on
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: the other side of it and realize.

  Speaker 3: That I.
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: Am now chosen after over 20 years of believing. And
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: that's because, no, no, no, don't get it twisted. It's
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: not because God chose me.
• 8:40
  Speaker 2: He made me. But I am chosen.
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: Take out the in on chosen because I chose to
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: finally surrender my life to Jesus Christ. I tried every
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: other avenue. I tried my will. I did my thrill.
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: And even though I tend to say I do not
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: have any regrets, that's because my soul is at rest.
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: I have been forgiven. It took me longer to forgive
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: myself than how Jesus forgave me. The guilt, the shame,
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: the wasted time. The bridges burned, the people. Places and
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: things that controlled my life. Controlled my emotions, controlled my happiness.

  Speaker 1: And if I didn't get what I wanted, all hell
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: broke loose. Every saint has a past, every sinner has
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: a future. I'm allowing the spirit to take over. We
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: do not have to continue to keep diving into these
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: Bible verses on this episode. The ones that you have heard,
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: and if you want to replay this back and really
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: listen to this and get that Bible study really locked in,
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: I highly encourage that as well. But we have five

  Speaker 1: more minutes and I want to make this about the

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. As I am in recovery, I have been
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: able to experience the supernatural of the Holy Spirit. Starting
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: before I even got into recovery, In jail praying for someone.
• 10:23
  Speaker 1: That was not me. That person was drawn to me.
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: Because of the Holy Spirit that I carry. Like I've
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: stated that I'm borrowing. It is not mine. So for
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: that I cannot boast in it.
• 10:44
  Speaker 3: You have to give credit where credit is due. The
• 10:47
  Speaker 3: Holy Spirit.
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: Will work through you and clean out the mess.
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: But you have to be willing. You have to be
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: an obedient participant to God's will. And it's not what you.
• 10:57
  Speaker 3: Think it is. And it's not as hard. As you
• 11:02
  Speaker 3: may think it is.
• 11:04
  Speaker 2: Understanding.
• 11:13
  Speaker 3: This is deep. Understanding grief.
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: Grief. Without picking up a drink. Without picking up a drug.
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: It is a blessing to be able to feel emotions.
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: Understanding that that shows that you care. That shows that
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: you have compassion. We're all seeking for validation. We're all
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: seeking for likeness from others. And I say we because
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: we are as a world, not just a country, but
• 11:52
  Speaker 1: a world.
• 11:56
  Speaker 3: That has been separated.
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: From our maker. Not by choice. We did not choose
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: to come into this world. We were brought into this
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: world So our life, we are on borrowed time. For
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: the creator.
• 12:27
  Speaker 3: Will want and need for us to return.
• 12:32
  Speaker 2: For what he placed in us, our souls.
• 12:37
  Speaker 3: Have a home.
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: And what we do on this earth will mirror what
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: we do After this earth is long and gone. Not
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: your past failures. Not your trauma. Not your mistakes. It's

  Speaker 1: what you do now. Just like I stated in the
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: beginning of this episode. Your presence still lingers on you. Yes,
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: I know you got a background. You can't get good work.
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: I understand people see you as a certain way and
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: you have a reputation. But that does not dictate what
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: your future is going to look like if you put
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: your faith in Jesus Christ and realize to be in
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: the now is to be in the spirit of the
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. Now you can go to other routes. The
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: third of the angels and Lucifer were cast down. Well,
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: the angels left.
• 13:43
  Speaker 3: One third. There's still two thirds. And that's a lot.
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: So get on the winning side. I'm not telling you
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: to be a religious person. I'm not telling you to
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: put yourself on a pedestal.

  Speaker 3: But humble yourself. And allow the Holy Spirit to help. Amen.
