Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, nobody has
• 0:08
had a bigger mouth than Alan Dershowitz. This dude has
• 0:12
been on every program, every TV station talking about how
• 0:17
Jeffrey Epstein was just, you know, a regular run of
• 0:21
the mill diddler and now he had no connections as
• 0:25
far as intelligence or powerful people whatsoever, and that he
• 0:31
certainly didn't blackmail anyone. Well, we know that's a bunch
• 0:35
of bs. Now, considering what Bill Gates just told us,
• 0:39
I would think that Alan Dershowitz might want to reevaluate
• 0:42
some of his past commentary, but for some reason, I
• 0:45
highly doubt it. And now he's out here popping off
• 0:49
at the app again talking about how he wants to
• 0:53
be deposed by the Congressional Committee. Well, now he's getting
• 0:58
his wish, because it looks like mister Comer is going
• 1:03
to call him in for a chat. Now it's going
• 1:05
to be voluntary, because Alan Dershowitz has said that he
• 1:08
wants to get before the committee and set some shit straight,
• 1:12
and now it looks like he's going to get that opportunity.
• 1:15
But I wonder how much they're going to be able
• 1:16
to get from him. How much is he going to
• 1:19
claim is privileged? Well, that was my client. I can't
• 1:22
say much. And look, I'm not going to sit here
• 1:25
and tell you that Dershowitz was out here partaking in
• 1:28
the abuse besides what we've heard from the allegations made
• 1:31
by Virginia, and they ended up settling their suit with
• 1:35
nobody accepting liability or wrong. So we can't sit here
• 1:39
and say with certainty that Dershowitz did this or did that.
• 1:44
But what I can say is he's reprehensible and he's
• 1:48
done everything in his power to try and whitewash what
• 1:50
Jeffrey Epstein really was. And whether that's out of self
• 1:53
preservation or something else, I don't know, But I think
• 1:57
it's a great idea to get him under oath, and
• 2:00
I think that all of Epstein's legal team should be
• 2:02
brought in, And if I was in Congress, I would
• 2:05
focus completely on the non prosecution deal one hundred percent.
• 2:11
Today's article is from The Guardian and the Headline House
• 2:14
Panel to seek testimony from Alan Dershowitz about Jeffrey Epstein.
• 2:18
This article was authored by Anna Betts Representative James Comer,
• 2:22
the Republican who chairs the House Committee on Oversight and
• 2:25
Government Reform, announced that he would be asking Alan Dershowitz,
• 2:29
Jeffrey Epstein's former attorney, to appear before the panel as
• 2:32
part of its investigation into the late sex offender. You
• 2:36
mean Donald Trump's lawyer, because that's what Dershowitz is as well, right,
• 2:41
not just Epstein's lawyer, but Donald Trump's. And I know
• 2:44
everybody is entitled to the best legal representation that they
• 2:48
can get, but it sure is pretty coincidental that every
• 2:52
time something pops up about Jeffrey Epstein, here comes Alan
• 2:56
Dershowitz on Newsmax or a Fox News attempting to counter narratives.
• 3:01
And what would his motivation for that be? Who's he
• 3:04
still protecting his client's not here anymore? Could it be
• 3:08
that he's still protecting all of his friends? Quite possibly?
• 3:13
I'm going to ask Alan Dershowitz to come in. We
• 3:15
will have questions for him, and we will give them
• 3:18
an opportunity to come in. Comer sat on Wednesday morning,
• 3:21
adding that the decision was based on the testimony of
• 3:24
Leslie Groff, Epstein's longtime assistant, who testified before the committee
• 3:28
on Tuesday, as well as meeting that I had afterwards
• 3:32
with several of Epstein's survivors. Well, it's about time. I'm
• 3:37
shocked that Comer even met with survivors in the first place.
• 3:40
Did Donald Trump approve that? Is he going to take
• 3:42
away your sippy cup? Oh, James Comer is a bad man.
• 3:47
He met with the Epstein survivors. This is bigly bad.
• 3:50
I mean, we know that loyalty is a one way street.
• 3:52
When we're talking about the president, we will have questions
• 3:56
for him and will give them an opportunity to come
• 3:59
in and answer. There are several questions that arose yesterday
• 4:02
based on Miss Groff's testimony and some things that someone
• 4:05
of the Epstein survivor said. Comer said, And it's been
• 4:09
a long time coming. Alan Dershowitz has a lot to
• 4:11
say about what Epstein wasn't, but he doesn't have much
• 4:15
to say about all the other things that were going
• 4:17
on around them. I never seen anything on towards I
• 4:22
got a massage, but my underwear was on, my wife
• 4:25
was with me, we went to the island, blah blah blah.
• 4:29
And there's always some kind of excuse, right, And he
• 4:32
does it in like this snide manner. It's very arrogant
• 4:36
and it's very cocky, and he does it time and
• 4:40
time again. He demeans these women who have been abused,
• 4:45
calls it a hoax, says this is BS, that's BS.
• 4:48
You know what's really bs. The fact that Dershowitz wants
• 4:51
to tell us started and stopped with him being his lawyer.
• 4:55
We know it was more than that. Now, I'm not
• 4:57
going to sit here and tell you that. I know
• 4:59
you know that depths of it, and I'm not going
• 5:02
to sit here and tell you I have evidence of
• 5:03
Alan Dershowitz taking part. I don't, but I think there's
• 5:07
plenty of evidence that Alan Dershowitz knows a whole lot
• 5:10
more than he's ever let on. Now, the one thing
• 5:13
I will say about Dershowitz is him being the lawyer.
• 5:17
He at least has some kind of credible excuse for
• 5:20
not talking about Epstein. Look, I was his lawyer. I
• 5:24
can't break confidentiality even in death, and I get that,
• 5:29
and I respect that, but considering that, you should just
• 5:32
shut up about the topic in general. But God forbid,
• 5:35
Alan Dershowitz does that. God forbid he just shuts up
• 5:39
and moves on, has to keep interjecting himself, has to
• 5:42
keep running his yapp And now that his narrative about
• 5:45
Jeffrey Epstein never blackmailing anybody has been blown out of
• 5:48
the water by Bill Gates, he wants to testify all
• 5:52
of a sudden, but he has to make sure that
• 5:53
the narratives all patched up. The transcript of Graev's testimony
• 5:57
has not yet been released by the Committee. Her opening statement,
• 6:00
Groff told lawmakers that she had no knowledge of Epstein's
• 6:03
crimes while working for him, and described her former employer
• 6:07
as a master manipulator and deceiver. Well, he definitely was that.
• 6:12
And when it comes to people like Leslie Groff, okay,
• 6:15
I'm more than willing to think that she was deceived,
• 6:17
at least in part by Jeffrey Epstein. Alan Dershowitz, no chance,
• 6:24
dude knew exactly what Jeffrey Epstein was and didn't care
• 6:27
for one second. In fact, has run around demeaning these
• 6:31
little girls who were abused. Oh, Epstein was with a
• 6:34
girl who was seventeen years old in ten months. What
• 6:37
he fails to point out was there girls that were
• 6:39
as young as fourteen that were involved in that. But
• 6:41
as part of the deal that Dershowitz helped create with
• 6:45
Main Justice. They said that the victim was seventeen and
• 6:48
ten months so it would make it look better for
• 6:51
Jeffrey Epstein. That's what they were doing. How can we
• 6:55
make Jeffrey Epstein look like he's not the monster that
• 6:58
he is? That was the goal, and boy were they successful.
• 7:05
Dershowitz defended the disgraced financier after he was first arrested,
• 7:09
and was a member of Epstein's legal team that negotiated
• 7:12
Epstein's now controversial two thousand and eight plea deal. And
• 7:15
in twenty fourteen, Virginia Roberts and Epstein's survivor, alleged that
• 7:19
Dershowitz actually assaulted her when she was a teenager as
• 7:23
part of Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Dershowitz has strongly denied
• 7:27
those claims and has never been charged with any wrongdoing
• 7:30
related to Epstein. Roberts sued Dershowitz in twenty nineteen, alleging
• 7:35
that he defamed her when denying her claims, but dropped
• 7:38
the lawsuit in twenty twenty two and said that she
• 7:41
may have made a mistake in accusing him, or maybe
• 7:44
she just was tired of it, the whole entire song
• 7:48
and dance. What would it prove She'd get a few
• 7:52
more bucks from Alan Dershowitz, and then what she'd still
• 7:56
be called a liar, just like with Prince Andrew. So
• 8:00
in Virginia's estimation, enough was enough. That's really what it
• 8:04
came down to, nothing more and nothing less. Roberts died
• 8:10
in April of twenty twenty five. In a telephone interview
• 8:13
with the Guardian on Wednesday, Dershowitz said that he had
• 8:15
volunteered to testify before the House Committee, pointing to a
• 8:19
recent appearance on Newsmax in which Dershowitz said on the
• 8:22
show that he'd be willing to appear before the committee.
• 8:26
Such a gracious guy, mister, I kept my underpants on, Dershowitz.
• 8:32
I can present a much more nuanced and calibrated description
• 8:35
of the complexity of these things, the Harvard law professor
• 8:38
told the Guardian. He added, I'm not a reluctant witness.
• 8:41
I wanted to testify, as I said from day one,
• 8:45
I want the truth to come out. What truth? What
• 8:48
do you even mean? What he's saying is he wants
• 8:50
to go on whitewash. What exactly is the truth, Alan Dershowitz,
• 8:57
that you and your buddies made sure that Jeffrey Epstein
• 8:59
got the deal of the century and that he could
• 9:03
go on and continue to abuse people. Is that what
• 9:05
you want to tell us, because that's what happened. So
• 9:08
save your snide, arrogant bullshit for somebody else. Everything I
• 9:14
did in relation to the Epstein case I'm proud of,
• 9:17
he said. I'm sure you are. I am sure you're
• 9:19
proud that you got that son of a bitch the
• 9:21
deal of a century. I'm sure you are. I'm sure
• 9:24
you're proud that you guys cut a deal that was
• 9:27
illegal with the federal government. That's right, I said it illegal.
• 9:32
And furthermore, that whole deal should be thrown out and
• 9:36
all of you, mister Dershowitz, should be looked at. Yeah,
• 9:40
that's right. I think that all of you, in collusion
• 9:43
with the DOJ, cooked up this deal. That's what I think.
• 9:48
And I think that if there was a special counsel
• 9:50
appointed to the case, they'd come to the same conclusion.
• 9:54
Dershowitz also pointed out that the news Max host Greta
• 9:57
Vancestrin said on her Show on Tuesday that she reached
• 10:00
out to Comer's office to ask about Dershowitz and his
• 10:03
willingness to testify, and claimed that it was her reaching out,
• 10:07
as well as his offer to testify, that led to
• 10:09
Comer requesting his testimony on Wednesday. In response, spokesperson from
• 10:15
Comer's office told The Guardian that the House Oversight Committee
• 10:18
will speak with anyone who has information about the federal
• 10:21
government's handling of the Epstein and Maxwell cases and their crimes. Well,
• 10:26
I just thought that Comer told us that it had
• 10:29
to do with Leslie Groff. Is Dershowitz lying or it's Comer.
• 10:38
They added that yesterday Leslie Groff named when asked who
• 10:41
else should come before the committee Alan Dershowitz, and said
• 10:44
that Chairman Comer also met with survivors yesterday and stated
• 10:49
that Dershowitz should be interviewed. Dershowitz told The Guardian that
• 10:53
he hardly knew Groff, but said that he saw on
• 10:55
a couple occasions sitting behind the desk at Epstein's office
• 10:59
and that I think perhaps some flights when I was
• 11:02
going down there to be his lawyer to speak to
• 11:04
the US attorney or the state attorney, but I never
• 11:07
had any substantative conversations with her. Who cares. I don't
• 11:13
care about any of that. I care about what role
• 11:15
he played in the NPA and if there was anything
• 11:19
that was unethical that happened there, people should lose their
• 11:22
law license, right, they should be disbarred. And considering that
• 11:24
Jeffrey Epstein was still abusing girls while he was under
• 11:28
that NPA and out on probation, the deal should be
• 11:31
null and void. And not only should it be null
• 11:33
and void, it should be looked at for criminal conduct.
• 11:37
How about we talk about that and what parts specifically
• 11:40
you played when it comes to reaching out to Main
• 11:42
Justice and pitching them whatever kind of deal that you
• 11:45
guys pitched them. That's what I'm interested in hearing about.
• 11:49
And it looks like we'll get those answers sometime soon.
• 11:53
But until then, that's going to do it for this one.
