- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today we are talking again about our creativity in the
- 0:35sense that it's the most valuable gift we have to shape
- 0:39our goals. You know, oftentimes people come
- 0:43with goals that other people put on them.
- 0:46So in other words, they'll show up and they'll say, well, my
- 0:49boss says this, or, you know, my spouse wants me to do this or my
- 0:55parents expect me to do this. And oy, that is such a hard
- 1:00thing to take in because when you start to think that way,
- 1:05when you start to go down the road of having all of your
- 1:08desires, your goals come from somebody else, you have to look
- 1:13at it and say, did I give up that power?
- 1:15Did I just give it away? Or did I not even know I had it?
- 1:19And am I using my creativity to come up with my own goals so
- 1:23that I can feel just as happy having some of my own goals as
- 1:27their goals? So because sometimes when you're
- 1:28working for somebody, you have to, you have to take on their
- 1:31goals. If you've agreed to go to work
- 1:32for them, you have to take on the goals that they have because
- 1:35you've agreed to work for them. And that makes sense logically,
- 1:39but that does not mean that you have to give up your creativity
- 1:42in the process. And a lot of times right now,
- 1:45as, as we've talked about before, when you have
- 1:48instructions with creativity, earlier in this week we talked
- 1:51about that, it becomes hard to be creative because the two
- 1:55don't coexist well. But that doesn't mean that you
- 1:58give up your personal creativity.
- 1:59You have to find spaces to execute your personal
- 2:03creativity, which I think to me is if you're having a struggle
- 2:08with that in this world right now, there are so many variables
- 2:12for this. Because if you're tied to
- 2:14electronics all the time, there are plenty of ways you can use
- 2:16your electronics to be super creative with them.
- 2:19Video production, audio productions, doing, you know, AI
- 2:24stuff, working, learning how to code with AI, there's so much
- 2:27creativity that can take place and you don't have to be afraid
- 2:31of it. You just have different tools to
- 2:33use with it. If you want to go old school,
- 2:35then you start thinking about, OK, I have to put some real
- 2:39goals out there that are very old school now.
- 2:41I like mixing it up. I like doing it both ways
- 2:44because I think they're directly tied to my goals, my creativity,
- 2:49my imagination are directly tied to my goals.
- 2:51So I'm always pushing, always stretching, always trying to see
- 2:55and how to how to manifest in that process is using your
- 2:59creativity because it's your most valuable gift that the
- 3:02universe and God have given you. So you have to take that on and
- 3:07say I'm going to make sure no matter what goals have been put
- 3:12upon me, I am going to invent my own.
- 3:15And I'm going to allow my imagination to have a bit of a,
- 3:19as my Australian friends say, walkabout where it's completely
- 3:24weird. It's out there.
- 3:25I'm just going to go have some fun with it.
- 3:27I'm going to try something I've never done before, so give you
- 3:30an example of this. I have these pieces of wood that
- 3:34we cut. We had a tree that got destroyed
- 3:38in a hurricane and it was this massive, beautiful tree and a
- 3:44whole big section. Live Oak to be specific.
- 3:46For those wondering what kind of tree and they're, the live oaks
- 3:50are a very unique tree because they're phototropic.
- 3:53So they keep growing out and big and they're just amazing
- 3:56looking, but they are very susceptible because of the way
- 4:00they grow in hurricanes to breaking off huge branches.
- 4:03And that's what happened. So this giant branch broke off
- 4:06this tree that was probably about 250 years old.
- 4:10And I, being the soul that I am, could not let that just get cut
- 4:15up. I just couldn't let it just do
- 4:17nothing. So and I got a mobile sawmill.
- 4:21Now this is where creativity and imagination come in.
- 4:23And I was like, what can I do with this?
- 4:25Because it was giant and you couldn't just you could have got
- 4:28cut it up, but it would have been too rough to cut it with a
- 4:31chainsaw. So I found somebody who had a
- 4:33mobile sawmill and he came down here and he planked it 2 inches
- 4:37thick from all of the the pieces that he had.
- 4:41And I currently have it for like it's literally three years.
- 4:46It's been drying because it takes forever.
- 4:48Hence it's called Live Oak to dry.
- 4:50And we're going to have a, a dining room table and benches
- 4:54made out of it. But it has to dry to a certain
- 4:56point before you can work with it.
- 4:57And it takes years. And I knew that going in, but I
- 5:01still wanted to do it. In the meantime, I have extra
- 5:03pieces that would not work for the dining room table, but
- 5:06they're beautiful and I've had them sitting outside so they
- 5:09could weather and get that very Gray, kind of Nantucket Gray
- 5:13look about them. Beautiful, beautiful pieces of
- 5:16wood. And I've been just trying to
- 5:18decide like the shape of the wood looks so cool.
- 5:21What should I do with this? So I recently saw on Instagram
- 5:26this little laser pen that you can use to draw with and it
- 5:29burns into wood or metal and it's super cool.
- 5:33Now, I have never done this before, never have I worked with
- 5:36this before. But you know what?
- 5:38I ordered the pen because I want to see what I can create with it
- 5:41because this is my imagination. And the goal is to have artwork
- 5:47for my studio that we record classes in.
- 5:50And I, I don't want to buy it. I want to make it because I feel
- 5:54like that's my creative space. Just like the chicken coop is a
- 5:57happy place and the farm is overall teaching mindfulness.
- 6:01So everything has a purpose. And the point is, go out and
- 6:06find your creativity. There you go.
- 6:08Rufus agrees that you have to go find that creativity and believe
- 6:12it's your most valuable gift. Shape it.
- 6:15Allow your imagination to infuse your goals with it.
- 6:19And life changes, my friends. OK, I hope you guys have a
- 6:22blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 6:25Bye.
