- 0:01Speaker 1: Now Health Matters with Daniel Martin. Welcome into Health Matters
- 0:05Speaker 1: right here on CN A 938. I'm Daniel Martin. It's
- 0:07Speaker 1: so good to have your company once again as we
- 0:10Speaker 1: zoom in on the importance of foot health, but
- 0:14Speaker 1: with the element of luxury. Yes. What am I talking about? Well, today,
- 0:19Speaker 1: first off, OK. This is interesting. I first started interviewing
- 0:23Speaker 1: about my guests specialty of blending together foot health and
- 0:27Speaker 1: luxury treatment. Back in 2013, I checked my records 2013
- 0:34Speaker 1: and I met him and learned about it directly from
- 0:36Speaker 1: him in 2014 and interviewed him. Then again,
- 0:39Speaker 1: he has continued to bring his specialty to Singapore in
- 0:44Speaker 1: this new collaboration with Raffles Spa that's just been announced.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Sebastian Gonzalez is back in Singapore. You would have heard
- 0:52Speaker 1: of him, of course, from his world renowned treatments out
- 0:55Speaker 1: of
- 0:55Speaker 1: Paris and now in Asia as well. So what is
- 1:00Speaker 1: happening in terms of the blend of French podiatry as
- 1:04Speaker 1: well as luxury and what does it mean for the
- 1:08Speaker 1: pedicure of 2025 and beyond? It's a pleasure to once
- 1:13Speaker 1: again meet up with Bastian Gonzalez and learn about his
- 1:15Speaker 1: new collaboration with Raffael Spa, Bastian. Welcome back to Singapore. Hello.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Hey, Louis Louis Daniel. Thank you very much for having
- 1:22Speaker 2: me today. I'm so proud and be able to see
- 1:25Speaker 2: you in uh
- 1:25Speaker 2: as you just mentioned after COVID being back to Singapore
- 1:29Speaker 2: these last three years where uh I uh started Asia
- 1:32Speaker 2: in Singapore. And uh and since Asia really blow, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 2: we are in many countries around Southeast Asia and uh
- 1:39Speaker 2: and as we met also in other places around Asia,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and I'm very pleased to be able to come back
- 1:46Speaker 2: in Singapore, but especially with, with uh with here at
- 1:49Speaker 2: raffles because uh we have so strong value together since
- 1:53Speaker 2: partnership being uh
- 1:55Speaker 2: elaborated over time, you know, we have some beautiful regular
- 1:59Speaker 2: customers which are now very happy last night at a
- 2:02Speaker 2: dinner with some of them who are so excited that
- 2:05Speaker 2: I don't need to go anymore to Hong Kong to
- 2:06Speaker 2: do my feet. But with you,
- 2:08Speaker 1: so
- 2:09Speaker 1: I don't have to travel for luxury. It's right here,
- 2:12Speaker 1: which is great because Singapore was where you started your
- 2:14Speaker 1: footprint in Asia.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Absolutely. From the beginning, actually, you're right. You know, we,
- 2:19Speaker 2: we and I only have one place because I love
- 2:21Speaker 2: to be a destinations. So and and Singapore was really
- 2:25Speaker 2: the opening of, of Asia but to come back to Singapore,
- 2:29Speaker 2: which is very important to me. I have a very,
- 2:33Speaker 2: very loyal clients and as you ask me how you
- 2:35Speaker 2: blend po and luxury,
- 2:38Speaker 2: I will look at luxury with two fundamentals pillars which
- 2:43Speaker 2: are quality
- 2:45Speaker 2: and uh services, you know, quality is what the knowledge
- 2:49Speaker 2: bring you, you know, education is something very strong and
- 2:52Speaker 2: we come back about education after because that's the big
- 2:55Speaker 2: news but, but services is what uh is raffle about,
- 2:59Speaker 2: you know, you have a mixed of uh history, you know,
- 3:02Speaker 2: with working here with uh raffles and a mix of knowledge,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you know, with technology and with science. And uh
- 3:10Speaker 2: that's where it's important to uh to look at pedicure.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And to start as a redefinition, pedicure is about curing feet.
- 3:18Speaker 2: It's not about nails, it's not about painting. It's about
- 3:22Speaker 2: feet are not only nails, you have feet, you have
- 3:25Speaker 2: skin who can be damaged. You have mobility of feet,
- 3:29Speaker 2: 26 bone, 103 gamma, 51 muscles. And I'm taking only
- 3:33Speaker 2: 1 ft,
- 3:35Speaker 2: your hip, it's two bones, it's one ligament and your
- 3:39Speaker 2: hips have zero muscles. You have your hip operated the
- 3:42Speaker 2: same day. You're on your feet the day after you
- 3:44Speaker 2: walk a week later, you're on a bicycle a month,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you have no problems. You have your bones operated, which
- 3:50Speaker 2: I'm totally against. Four months later, you're still in pain.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So it's a, it's a very unknown part of your
- 3:57Speaker 2: body and it's a part which can give you so
- 3:59Speaker 2: much because it's like the foundation of your house. If
- 4:02Speaker 2: you have good foundations, then you have a good uh
- 4:05Speaker 2: a good way to, to go ahead. You know,
- 4:07Speaker 1: it's also the part of the body with, like you said,
- 4:09Speaker 1: at some point, a good foundation,
- 4:11Speaker 1: but we don't pay attention to it. It does so
- 4:14Speaker 1: much work for us. But nobody, I don't think people
- 4:19Speaker 1: even wash their feet in the shower sometimes. You know
- 4:21Speaker 1: what I
- 4:21Speaker 1: mean?
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's so right. You're so right. You know, and, and, and,
- 4:24Speaker 2: and then when I explain when I give these educations
- 4:26Speaker 2: because when you come to us
- 4:28Speaker 2: here in the spa raffles, we, we don't just do
- 4:30Speaker 2: a pedicure, we give you an education. So education was
- 4:33Speaker 2: very important for me through my team and I write
- 4:36Speaker 2: a book which is around 400 pages, which took me
- 4:38Speaker 2: seven years. That's what we call sop you know, the
- 4:41Speaker 2: standard of, of protocol, which are very, very high and
- 4:45Speaker 2: wherever you go in the world, you will have exactly
- 4:46Speaker 2: the same treatment which is quality consistency, you know, that
- 4:50Speaker 2: you delivering that brand is much more than just the
- 4:53Speaker 2: name on the, on the door. And uh and people
- 4:56Speaker 2: don't have food care educations.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Asia is very bad habit of clipping the nails very down,
- 5:02Speaker 2: you know, which is terrible like the what I'm sorry
- 5:04Speaker 2: to say, but the Chinese pedicures will be more like
- 5:07Speaker 2: a pedicure dealers, you know, where you have to go
- 5:09Speaker 2: every month because you're in pain. The concept of curing
- 5:12Speaker 2: is not the concept of having people hooked to you
- 5:15Speaker 2: because you're under pain. It's about liberations. It's about having
- 5:19Speaker 2: beautiful healthy feet and, and loving them. So more than
- 5:23Speaker 2: the treatment is also the product who go with it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And on sebastien, the product line that I developed over
- 5:29Speaker 2: the last 26 years, I only have 1 ft cream.
- 5:33Speaker 2: And every two or three years I would change that
- 5:35Speaker 2: food cream and I would never put like a stamp
- 5:37Speaker 2: on the new formula because my client, which I call
- 5:40Speaker 2: ultra luxury people, people who have a true sense of
- 5:46Speaker 2: quality and delivering experience. Because you were asking me earlier,
- 5:50Speaker 2: what's what's new in the spa industry? What's new in the,
- 5:54Speaker 2: it's I think
- 5:56Speaker 2: the differentiations in the wellness industry, which is now $7
- 5:59Speaker 2: trillion business. It's uh over the last 20 years, it's
- 6:03Speaker 2: magical and Asia is a big part of it because
- 6:06Speaker 2: you are the nest of spa. You know, you have
- 6:08Speaker 2: this way of approaching uh you know, the the the body,
- 6:12Speaker 2: the the wellness stretching, you know, you have all of that,
- 6:15Speaker 2: you know, the way you eat, you know, it's very different.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So it's uh it's great to be able to bring
- 6:20Speaker 2: the knowledge into it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Let's talk about
- 6:23Speaker 1: that. How is this knowledge going to be a part
- 6:27Speaker 1: of the treatments being provided at raffles? But what is happening?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Because like you said, you have a very strong emphasis
- 6:34Speaker 1: in terms of training and in terms of quality and consistency.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And I can attest to that. I've tried your treatments
- 6:38Speaker 1: in
- 6:39Speaker 1: Singapore in Da Nang Vietnam, in Hong Kong. Uh I
- 6:42Speaker 1: wanted to try the one in Japan, but the thing
- 6:44Speaker 1: is over the years I've tried them and they were
- 6:47Speaker 1: consistent and there was this idea of actually curing the
- 6:52Speaker 1: foot through podiatry and through these pedicure treatments. Let's put
- 6:56Speaker 1: it that way.
- 6:57Speaker 1: How have you brought that to what's happening to the
- 7:00Speaker 1: Raffles Bar? Is it the same concept of consistency and training?
- 7:05Speaker 2: We have an amazing room which is absolutely beautiful. We
- 7:08Speaker 2: have a fantastic chair that we develop in, in Italy
- 7:11Speaker 2: with uh six different engines uh form on the chair.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Your chairs were always quite unique and special to your treatments.
- 7:18Speaker 2: We
- 7:18Speaker 2: don't want to go out because you know, they have
- 7:19Speaker 2: c molding forms will go on to your back. So
- 7:22Speaker 2: that's one aspect. But in terms of the treatment,
- 7:26Speaker 2: nothing has really changed because quality when you reach it,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it's not about adding, it's about maintaining perfections. And as
- 7:34Speaker 2: I mentioned about my cream that I will make my
- 7:37Speaker 2: cream more performance because we have a new molecule. We
- 7:41Speaker 2: have a new, I will work, for example, on drills.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I will work with a new concept of drilling inspired
- 7:46Speaker 2: by sports uh car industry. I know sports car industry
- 7:50Speaker 2: are big in Singapore but you know, see break nowadays
- 7:53Speaker 2: the with ceramic
- 7:55Speaker 2: uh I use the same with a German company we
- 7:58Speaker 2: developed a drill which when you turn and you touch
- 8:02Speaker 2: the skin for the abrasions as it's ceramic, you have
- 8:04Speaker 2: no heat coming out
- 8:07Speaker 2: so you don't burn anymore. And one of the main
- 8:09Speaker 2: problems with treatments of what people call abuse called pedicure.
- 8:14Speaker 2: They over file and when they over file in the salon,
- 8:17Speaker 2: they burn the skin. You have these heat sensations, heat
- 8:20Speaker 2: sensation is an aggression on the skin
- 8:23Speaker 2: and the skin will react by building calluses. So more
- 8:26Speaker 2: you file more calls you have, which is a very
- 8:29Speaker 2: bad habit to have to over file. And as the
- 8:32Speaker 2: skin is being over fed, the skin break, one of
- 8:35Speaker 2: the key element elasticity abusing the elasticity by over filing
- 8:40Speaker 2: with a stone or with a file will also break
- 8:43Speaker 2: the elasticity. And the two value. The first things I
- 8:46Speaker 2: do when I do a pedicures, I touch and pinch
- 8:49Speaker 2: the skin up
- 8:50Speaker 2: because I want people to understand what the skin is about.
- 8:54Speaker 2: The skin is a glove to protect our body. So
- 8:56Speaker 2: on the feet, the skin is seven times bigger than
- 8:59Speaker 2: on your face. So if you want a good cream,
- 9:01Speaker 2: you have to have very powerful active to penetrate the
- 9:03Speaker 2: water in. So all seas knowledge is what I put
- 9:07Speaker 2: together into the treatment. So when you come to uh
- 9:10Speaker 2: raffle Singapore in our spa today, in that beautiful pedi
- 9:13Speaker 2: many cure studio, you know, the cure is very important
- 9:17Speaker 2: more than having this beautiful luxury environment. You have this
- 9:21Speaker 2: very detailed treatment, three step, cure the nails, feet, antony nails,
- 9:27Speaker 2: cure the skin. And we have different technique out of
- 9:30Speaker 2: dry skin because it's allowed me to be much more
- 9:33Speaker 2: precise than water. When you put your feet in water,
- 9:36Speaker 2: you over moisturize your skin. So as a therapist, you
- 9:38Speaker 2: will never see where is the limit between the good skin,
- 9:41Speaker 2: bad skin, dry skin because it's full of water.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And then finally, the most important in the pedicure, why
- 9:48Speaker 2: we have these amazing regular customers, foot massage and foot
- 9:53Speaker 2: up to the knee.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I like to compare the feet with a puppet. 26 bone,
- 9:58Speaker 2: 103 ligament, 51 muscles. So to move the puppet, you
- 10:03Speaker 2: have C strings which are the muscles of the leg.
- 10:05Speaker 2: So I must work on the legs to liberate the
- 10:08Speaker 2: tensions and the blockage on the skin, on the, on
- 10:11Speaker 2: the joint. Sorry
- 10:12Speaker 2: and uh walk around Singapore over the last three days.
- 10:15Speaker 2: We have a fantastic time. You see, see these beautiful
- 10:18Speaker 2: women on high heels. I think it's very nice to
- 10:20Speaker 2: see still women on high heels. And that's not in
- 10:22Speaker 2: more the case in New York or London or Paris.
- 10:24Speaker 2: They're all on slippers on, on the sneakers. You have
- 10:28Speaker 2: seen the this after eight centimeters, uh six centimeters high heels,
- 10:33Speaker 2: you completely block your feet,
- 10:35Speaker 2: every shoes with more than six centimeters. You are dis
- 10:39Speaker 2: locking your feet and you say six centimeters high heels,
- 10:43Speaker 2: women look at you and they laugh, you know, it
- 10:44Speaker 2: starts at 9, 1012 loin went into 16 centimeters as
- 10:49Speaker 2: a man. You know, I, I don't understand, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 2: we never go there, you know.
- 10:53Speaker 2: But uh it's, uh and I don't care, you can
- 10:56Speaker 2: wear high heels, you can wear nail polish, but you
- 11:00Speaker 2: have to be aware of what it means to your nails.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You have to be aware of what it means to
- 11:04Speaker 2: the mobility of your feet and every problem of the solutions,
- 11:08Speaker 2: which is what we give. When you come to the
- 11:10Speaker 2: pedicure studio at the Raffles Singapore, we give you an
- 11:13Speaker 2: education on how I can stretch my feet, stretch my toes,
- 11:17Speaker 2: how I can clean my nails, you know, in the
- 11:20Speaker 2: cure of the nails, the first step of her treatments.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So overseas education is key and that's the base of
- 11:25Speaker 2: my success because people want to do something. And as
- 11:28Speaker 2: you mentioned at the beginning, we have no education, we
- 11:30Speaker 2: don't even consider them, but it's like the foundation of
- 11:34Speaker 2: your house. How much are you ready to invest on
- 11:37Speaker 2: your own house, on your feet, you know, on your foundations,
- 11:40Speaker 2: to be able to walk around and to be able
- 11:42Speaker 2: to stand and to be comfortable,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I think besides our heart, which is pumping all the time,
- 11:47Speaker 1: we are using our feet. So we're on our feet
- 11:49Speaker 1: with the workhorse of the body. Unfortunately, and we've barely
- 11:53Speaker 1: pay attention to it. I love what you said about.
- 11:56Speaker 1: This is something that I encountered over the years when
- 11:58Speaker 1: I went to your studios as well, your studio managers,
- 12:00Speaker 1: because they podiatry trains would always impart a tremendous amount
- 12:03Speaker 1: of knowledge in terms of no, what you're doing is bad.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Try and change that. What you're doing is different. Do
- 12:09Speaker 1: this instead.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And they give me tips and advice in terms of
- 12:11Speaker 1: whether or not to use powder and the socks when
- 12:13Speaker 1: I go out or whether or not how to trim
- 12:15Speaker 1: it on my own at home. And that's the thing that, that,
- 12:18Speaker 1: that education that is grounded in the science and the
- 12:20Speaker 1: medical as well. Can you talk to me about how
- 12:23Speaker 1: did you bring in the luxury? Because you, you
- 12:25Speaker 1: always revamp and change the idea of the pedicure in
- 12:28Speaker 1: Singapore in Asia. A lot of the times it's a
- 12:30Speaker 1: quick 1, 20 minute one. So I can go every
- 12:34Speaker 1: week chop chop, jump into it. Maybe not so hygienic
- 12:38Speaker 1: in some of the road cases across the countries. How
- 12:41Speaker 1: do you bring in the luxury component?
- 12:44Speaker 2: So you, you drop a few ideas which are very important.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Number one is yen, you know, nowadays, and you know,
- 12:50Speaker 2: people get
- 12:51Speaker 2: every tools we use are not clean, they are sterilized.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So it's like being in a hospital, we have uh
- 12:58Speaker 2: what we call an autoclave and the tools are clean
- 13:02Speaker 2: and sterilized and we open these bags in front of
- 13:06Speaker 2: the guest respect, which is also a comp a very
- 13:09Speaker 2: important aspect of luxury. Then details all the details you cannot,
- 13:14Speaker 2: could make a quick fix. When you have problems, you
- 13:16Speaker 2: have steps to respect. You know, if you want to
- 13:19Speaker 2: cook
- 13:20Speaker 2: AAA good dish, you have to respect, you know, when
- 13:23Speaker 2: you do Patti three and I love, you know, being
- 13:24Speaker 2: French Patti three, it's a, it's a fine art because
- 13:28Speaker 2: you put exactly the right amount of sugar or the
- 13:31Speaker 2: way you mix together the way you move. What treatment
- 13:34Speaker 2: is the same? We have uh five steps just for
- 13:37Speaker 2: the nails. We have three different steps for the cleaning
- 13:42Speaker 2: on the side of the nails
- 13:43Speaker 2: which is not cut ulous. And there's a misunderstanding between
- 13:46Speaker 2: cuticle and dead skin on the side of the nails.
- 13:49Speaker 2: We have five steps again for the skin. We have
- 13:53Speaker 2: another six step when you do the massage. So details
- 13:56Speaker 2: the accumulation of details, which is a concept of luxury.
- 14:00Speaker 2: We talk about luxury earlier as a quality and services
- 14:04Speaker 2: quality as a knowledge. The service is an accumulation of details.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I remember, you know, when I was uh working with
- 14:11Speaker 2: the not who imposed me the owner of the hotel
- 14:14Speaker 2: to his, to his to his son saying to his
- 14:16Speaker 2: GM I want Bastien to my all my hotels because
- 14:19Speaker 2: when I want my client going to the pool of
- 14:21Speaker 2: perfect feet
- 14:22Speaker 1: right.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Yes,
- 14:23Speaker 2: and that's one detail,
- 14:25Speaker 2: but it's a sin of luxury, you know, so I
- 14:28Speaker 2: think luxury come with a lot of details, attentions to details,
- 14:32Speaker 2: respect of details, not to cut short. And over the years,
- 14:36Speaker 2: I've trained many podiatrists who left and that's their own
- 14:39Speaker 2: right to move to, you know, I like when people
- 14:42Speaker 2: come in and out with a with a good memories
- 14:45Speaker 2: and all the one who tried to copy me
- 14:48Speaker 2: at one point, cut it short
- 14:51Speaker 2: by making more customers by having more booking by. But
- 14:53Speaker 2: by cutting short, you're breaking the luxury component of it
- 14:58Speaker 2: because it takes time
- 15:00Speaker 2: when you look at watch, you know, we are crazy
- 15:02Speaker 2: about watches nowadays. Look how many P CS you have
- 15:05Speaker 2: in one watch. You know if you look at the
- 15:06Speaker 2: top beyond. So the concept of luxury, all these little details,
- 15:11Speaker 2: pedicure being very neglected. Pedicure being abundant in five star
- 15:15Speaker 2: spa because they don't generate money, pedicures being
- 15:18Speaker 2: you know, destroyed two nails and I'm fighting pedicure is
- 15:21Speaker 2: not nails, the nails is the skin and most important
- 15:25Speaker 2: the mobility of the feet, the
- 15:26Speaker 1: blood flow to the nails. I learned so much about that.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I learned about using a toothbrush on my nails.
- 15:34Speaker 2: You know that
- 15:35Speaker 1: to
- 15:36Speaker 2: be a good when
- 15:37Speaker 2: you follow
- 15:38Speaker 2: your homework,
- 15:38Speaker 1: you know, then you don't get the cuticle, you don't
- 15:40Speaker 1: get the dead skin build up at the side. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: remembered all of this because
- 15:45Speaker 1: Danielle you know, it was ground, it made so much
- 15:48Speaker 1: sense and it was what I was looking for, which
- 15:50Speaker 1: is this idea of. It's not about the prettiness of
- 15:53Speaker 1: the foot. It's about the health of the foot.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It's about the health. But then it's also about uh
- 15:59Speaker 2: beauty because you want to look beautiful. And nowadays in
- 16:02Speaker 2: the spa, you were asking me, what's the spouse to
- 16:04Speaker 2: the trends? It's this mix of natural beauty, women more
- 16:09Speaker 2: and more as men wants to be naturally beautiful.
- 16:11Speaker 2: You know, we stop so much the intense me and
- 16:15Speaker 2: the medical involve with natural beauty and what we do
- 16:18Speaker 2: with our pedicures, we make your nails naturally beautiful. So
- 16:21Speaker 2: we don't do anti aging, we do hetero aging and
- 16:25Speaker 2: that's the concept of the future of beauty. It's about
- 16:28Speaker 2: looking younger and feeling younger.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So when you come to us with your feet at
- 16:32Speaker 2: any stage, we make them look younger and
- 16:35Speaker 2: healthier.
- 16:35Speaker 1: That is phenomenal. I'm curious just to very quickly as
- 16:38Speaker 1: we wrap up the duration of the treatment, still roughly
- 16:42Speaker 1: the same. It's not, this is not a 30 minute
- 16:44Speaker 1: walk in, cut your nails and walk out situation, folks.
- 16:47Speaker 1: It's redefined how long?
- 16:48Speaker 2: One hour, one hour, 15 minutes, depending on the feet,
- 16:51Speaker 2: but it's no more than 75 minutes. Very important to
- 16:54Speaker 2: me to bring Cesar JC, the French love to do
- 16:57Speaker 2: with their smiles. But also in the same time as
- 17:00Speaker 2: his very unique knowledge And as you want to wrap up,
- 17:04Speaker 2: I want to say thank you Daniel for having me.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And I want to also let you know that these
- 17:08Speaker 2: two years of COVID being very hard, but also amazing
- 17:11Speaker 2: because I take the times as you know, I'm traveling
- 17:13Speaker 2: the world every four days. I took the team for
- 17:15Speaker 2: two years to invent a whole program with the French government.
- 17:17Speaker 2: And I invented a new science called Pedicure Anology Step
- 17:22Speaker 2: Pedicure and Manicure stand by the French Education System. 278 hours,
- 17:28Speaker 2: I tried to redefine pedicures. After 25 years, I realized
- 17:32Speaker 2: that it was a lost cause. So let's create my
- 17:35Speaker 2: own category in between poat where very medical wants to
- 17:39Speaker 2: operate
- 17:40Speaker 2: and his beauty field, which I'm not against nail polish.
- 17:44Speaker 2: But I always say to ladies, how long do you
- 17:46Speaker 2: keep your makeup on your face? How long do you
- 17:48Speaker 2: keep your makeup on your nails?
- 17:49Speaker 1: And why are
- 17:50Speaker 1: you doing that with your nail polish
- 17:52Speaker 1: then?
- 17:52Speaker 2: So you can paint your nails but never more than
- 17:55Speaker 2: three days because after three days, the pigment burned the
- 17:57Speaker 2: nails and discolored the nails and out of the 97,000
- 18:02Speaker 2: PICO de Bastian we did last year worldwide. It's his
- 18:04Speaker 2: beautiful destinations.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Raffles Singapore being the new one. It's um impressive that
- 18:11Speaker 2: more than 95% of the women leaving your treatment don't
- 18:14Speaker 2: ask for colors. So it's a new step of pedicures.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I'm not against it, you go out, you have your
- 18:18Speaker 2: hair done. You put this beautiful dress, you have your handbag,
- 18:21Speaker 2: which is green. I want green nail polish. I don't
- 18:23Speaker 2: know the way they chew their colors, but I'm not
- 18:25Speaker 2: going so much in their heads. But
- 18:27Speaker 2: I have a one step where you cure and one
- 18:30Speaker 2: step where you have beauties. You know, it's a two
- 18:32Speaker 2: different thing. You have a facialist, you have a makeup
- 18:34Speaker 2: artist and more and more in the fashion show in Paris,
- 18:37Speaker 2: which I'm very connected with. You don't have you makeup artist.
- 18:40Speaker 2: You have facialist backstage to make the skin glow. We
- 18:44Speaker 2: are into a natural beauty moment because nothing can compete
- 18:49Speaker 2: with natural beauty.
- 18:51Speaker 1: On that note, I've been speaking to Bastian Gonzalez for,
- 18:54Speaker 1: I don't know how many times now since 2013, but
- 18:57Speaker 1: it's always a pleasure having him back on the show
- 18:59Speaker 1: and to see that he's left his footprint in Singapore.
- 19:01Speaker 1: And more importantly, trying to change the way we think
- 19:03Speaker 1: about our foot health combined with luxury. Trust me, you
- 19:06Speaker 1: won't think about the pedicure the same way. Again, my
- 19:09Speaker 1: name is Daniel Martin. This is health matters. It's CN
- 19:11Speaker 1: A 938.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Before making any decisions. Based on the information in our program,
- 19:22Speaker 1: please consult a medical professional.
