- 1:16Speaker 2: real reason. Uh, it's just gonna be a normal episode.
- 1:20Speaker 2: We're just gonna have some fun. But I'm sleepy, Stevie's
- 1:23Speaker 2: goofy and angry, so let's get to it.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, all the emotions from that movie that I didn't
- 1:30Speaker 3: see because I heard it was sad.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It's a lot of things.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a movie about emotion, sad.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Sad is gonna be in there somewhere. But there's also
- 1:40Speaker 2: the other one.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like angry.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yes, right now, it's gonna be an interesting episode. I
- 1:50Speaker 2: swear to God and we can make them happy. By
- 1:52Speaker 2: the end, legitimately has had enough of our shift, So
- 1:55Speaker 2: I'm just gonna move on and try and give them
- 1:57Speaker 2: as little ship as I can. Uh, let's get to
- 2:00Speaker 2: our introductions.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Uh.
- 2:01Speaker 2: He is a gamer and a storyteller, and I hope
- 2:04Speaker 2: I didn't offend him.
- 2:05Speaker 6: He's augy.
- 2:20Speaker 4: What I like how you guys like?
- 2:24Speaker 5: You know, I guess I did give off the kind
- 2:25Speaker 5: of like pissed off a little bit.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you're not really, He's just
- 2:31Speaker 2: really funny at the time. So, so here's your question
- 2:35Speaker 2: for this week. Is there a collection that you have
- 2:38Speaker 2: that you're simultaneously proud of and maybe a little ashamed of.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Oh God, easily my T and D book collection.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I've taken pictures, I've probably put it online almost everybody
- 2:51Speaker 5: I know.
- 2:52Speaker 4: There are people who have way more than way sure,
- 2:55Speaker 4: but like I shouldn't have so many.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I don't play it enough as much as I talk
- 3:02Speaker 5: about it, and just yeah, I just have so much,
- 3:06Speaker 5: so much of it, and it's always a pain in
- 3:08Speaker 5: They asked to move around.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I mean technically, technically, technically we're all sinks sort of.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I mean, Ceb, you're in a throuble. But like on paper,
- 3:20Speaker 2: sinks is a single income no kids.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Oh okay, yeah, yeah, yeah there is.
- 3:28Speaker 2: It's more it's more common to hear dinks, which are
- 3:31Speaker 2: double income no kids. Basically means a couple who are
- 3:34Speaker 2: together but they don't have kids, so they w f.
- 3:39Speaker 1: The clown cloud.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Ship. As soon as you travel, you can be a
- 3:45Speaker 2: joint because that's a double offshore income no kids. I
- 3:51Speaker 2: just made that up.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Now.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Dinks and sinks are real acronyms to describe.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Ever knew that as But that's different.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's why it's long story short, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 2: until you know, until the economy is thrown in the toilet.
- 4:09Speaker 2: We had all this expendable income we're using to get collections. Uh,
- 4:15Speaker 2: So I completely understand. Uh, And I thought I thought
- 4:17Speaker 2: it would apply to all three of us. So I'm
- 4:19Speaker 2: curious to see he is a veteran and a podcaster,
- 4:22Speaker 2: and a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie, It's Steve.
- 4:26Speaker 6: It's Steve.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Still me, I kind of feel like weird is a misnomer.
- 4:33Speaker 2: You're not as weird as you are.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Goofy, You'll go goofy.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah is a better better word because it implies more
- 4:39Speaker 2: joy than weird, right, Yeah, weird. Weird has a sort
- 4:43Speaker 2: of off putting connotation to it, which you don't deserve.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So it should have been good do weird things.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But yes, I am, but it's all from a place
- 4:51Speaker 1: of joy. Oh yeah ninety eight. The other two it's
- 4:55Speaker 1: anger like.
- 4:55Speaker 2: A yeah, but he doesn't let that out like he
- 4:59Speaker 2: said two percent, Stevie. Is there a collection that you
- 5:03Speaker 2: have that you are both proud of and ashamed of
- 5:05Speaker 2: at the same time.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I don't really have like a collection of collections, Like
- 5:10Speaker 3: I really don't have like a single I got like
- 5:12Speaker 3: themed stuff, like I got a bunch of Kevin Smith stuff,
- 5:16Speaker 3: or I have a bunch of Batman things. But I
- 5:17Speaker 3: don't have like a collection of anything, Like I don't know.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I have like a.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Couple of well, I guess I have a comic collection,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but they've been stored away for like five years.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I haven't really looked at them or seen them in
- 5:29Speaker 1: a while.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That Isn't that a little shameful? Is that you have
- 5:32Speaker 2: this massive collection that you just don't enjoy it's just
- 5:34Speaker 2: in a box.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess, so, yeahs I don't Is this there
- 5:40Speaker 3: you know, I know something for worse some money.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I get it.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess so, yeah, I guess I would have
- 5:47Speaker 1: to be X.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't use fair enough, fair enough. And finally
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm your host Pancil Sarah hit It White Stars. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: the reason I asked this question is because they recently
- 6:10Speaker 2: pulled out all of my handheld gaming devices. And I
- 6:15Speaker 2: mean all of them.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yes, I.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Took a picture just because I had a massive collection
- 6:22Speaker 2: of them out on my desk, and then I realized, hey, wait,
- 6:25Speaker 2: there's more, and I went and I went, like rooted
- 6:28Speaker 2: through my entire apartment and pulled out every handheld I
- 6:31Speaker 2: could find and lay out another collection of them on
- 6:34Speaker 2: my bed. So I have two pictures filled with about
- 6:37Speaker 2: forty different handheld devices. Oh my god, you can play
- 6:41Speaker 2: video games on Uh it's extreme, and I fully admitted
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's extreme. It probably started with the Vita and the
- 6:49Speaker 2: Nintendo DS. Those are the first, the first ones I
- 6:52Speaker 2: bought that I that i've hung onto that I still have.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I did. I have an original game Boy back in
- 6:58Speaker 2: the day that is long gone. Also had a game
- 7:01Speaker 2: Boy Advance that was also sold at some point, but
- 7:04Speaker 2: like since then, I've collected you know, a shit ton
- 7:07Speaker 2: of other ones, and especially since I moved into the apartment,
- 7:10Speaker 2: I needed something to do, so I needed projects to
- 7:12Speaker 2: fill my time. So I started buying these these these
- 7:15Speaker 2: like boutique you know, bespoke handhelds that are either like
- 7:21Speaker 2: Android based or Linux based or some other you know,
- 7:24Speaker 2: sort of low weight os that allows you to put
- 7:29Speaker 2: retro gaming systems on them and go crazy. Some of
- 7:33Speaker 2: them I handmade, which I'm very proud of, like the
- 7:37Speaker 2: Odroid Go and the Odroid Go Advance are actually like kits,
- 7:40Speaker 2: and you actually put together the kit and then you
- 7:43Speaker 2: have your own and you can customize it however you want.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Like I spray painted the first one, I think, just
- 7:50Speaker 2: just this kind of royal blue, and then I got
- 7:52Speaker 2: a translucent purple which I thought was super hot. Nice,
- 7:56Speaker 2: and then I did another blue one, a sort of
- 7:58Speaker 2: sort of translucent blue one on the third one. But
- 8:01Speaker 2: you know, their mine, you know, I built them. There,
- 8:03Speaker 2: their their era in stations for lack of a better term.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So I was very pleased with those. But then there's
- 8:10Speaker 2: a whole bunch that I just bought and then like configured,
- 8:12Speaker 2: you know, they came pre made. There's there's a ton
- 8:15Speaker 2: of them, just absolutely a ship ton and just kind
- 8:18Speaker 2: of an embarrassing ship ton. Once I, once I laid
- 8:21Speaker 2: them all out, I was like, Jesus Christ, what's wrong
- 8:23Speaker 2: with me? And here's like aside from that and slight
- 8:27Speaker 2: moment of shame, you know, there there was a point
- 8:29Speaker 2: of pride, you know, there was I do love some
- 8:32Speaker 2: of them, like absolutely, I've gotten I've gotten so much
- 8:36Speaker 2: of my money's worth out of the r O G
- 8:38Speaker 2: l I x oh YEA, the scheme deck competitor that
- 8:42Speaker 2: has easily twice the battery power is I absolutely enjoy
- 8:47Speaker 2: the crap out of it. I was playing it this
- 8:49Speaker 2: morning and I've I've been playing it on and off
- 8:53Speaker 2: for months, and I really enjoy that thing. But but
- 8:56Speaker 2: like half of these are just like they're dead. They're dead.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I tried pulling up some of the old ones and
- 9:03Speaker 2: I you know, tried playing with them and charging. Some
- 9:05Speaker 2: wouldn't even charge, So I'm like, fuck. I think the
- 9:10Speaker 2: majority of the cases are that the SD cards that
- 9:13Speaker 2: are that are holding all their data are like corrupted,
- 9:17Speaker 2: Like some of them are still had their their SD
- 9:20Speaker 2: cards that came with them from China. Whereas whereas others
- 9:25Speaker 2: are just old sand discs that I think have have
- 9:29Speaker 2: those all lasted their their usefulness. In fact, most of
- 9:32Speaker 2: the when I looked up some of the ones that
- 9:34Speaker 2: I thought were salvageable and tried to find out what
- 9:37Speaker 2: could be wrong with them, most of them said, yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 2: it's probably the SD card needs to be replaced. You
- 9:42Speaker 2: need to rewrite the operating system onto it, which means
- 9:44Speaker 2: you lose everything, but you have to put all your games.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Back on it.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And I was like, eh, but the thing is that
- 9:49Speaker 2: modern st cards last much longer. Yes, true, Yeah, Like
- 9:53Speaker 2: they've come a long way since like ten years ago.
- 9:56Speaker 2: They they were they were they weren't designed, they weren't
- 9:58Speaker 2: going to last very long. They're they're very like volatile,
- 10:02Speaker 2: so they don't hold up over time. Newer ones actually
- 10:06Speaker 2: do hold up for much longer. So hopefully if I
- 10:10Speaker 2: just replaced some of the SD cards in some of
- 10:12Speaker 2: these now, mind you, some of them are fucking gone.
- 10:15Speaker 2: There's nothing I can do. Uh, there's the one I
- 10:18Speaker 2: just want, even Boots. No matter what I do, I'm like,
- 10:21Speaker 2: I think you're fucked buddy, you know. And and some
- 10:24Speaker 2: of the others exhibit similar cyre just kind of Messing.
- 10:29Speaker 2: I don't think of you that fondly that I'm heartbroken
- 10:32Speaker 2: over it, but like still, but I was still kind
- 10:35Speaker 2: of astonished to see after pulling everything out, I still
- 10:38Speaker 2: didn't find everything. I have a three DS, I know
- 10:40Speaker 2: I own it. I can't find it. I don't know
- 10:42Speaker 2: where it went. I've been looking everywhere. I also own
- 10:45Speaker 2: a second game gear. Also don't know where that went. Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I may I may have sold that one when I
- 10:54Speaker 2: sold my game collection. I may have thrown that in
- 10:57Speaker 2: with the stuff that went to Mark Miller. But oh, okay,
- 11:01Speaker 2: the the uh uh the owner and creator of litl Con.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, awesome.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just listening to the.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Episode U anyway.
- 11:12Speaker 2: So that's the collection that I am proud of and
- 11:14Speaker 2: ashamed of at the same time. But my Veta is
- 11:18Speaker 2: still kicking fuck yeah, yeah, all hail the ps Veta.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It should it should have gotten much more sales than
- 11:26Speaker 2: lasted much longer than it did. That is a beast
- 11:28Speaker 2: of a machine. Anyway, we are here to play some games,
- 11:31Speaker 2: shall we do it?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, let's do some games.
- 11:34Speaker 2: That sounds good to me. Game one is going to
- 11:36Speaker 2: be have I got bad news for you this one.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I've got three news stories. All our players have to
- 11:43Speaker 2: do is decide which of these news stories I decided
- 11:46Speaker 2: is the worst news of the week. Now, the good
- 11:49Speaker 2: news is that these are typically pretty good news stories.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Generally speaking, when we do have I Got bad news
- 11:54Speaker 2: for you, they're typically good news stories. You just have
- 11:56Speaker 2: to tell me which one is the worst.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yay, So it's gonna be happy.
- 12:00Speaker 2: As opposed to the other version, which is, have I
- 12:02Speaker 2: got good news for you, which you need to find
- 12:03Speaker 2: the best of three bad stories. So that's a little
- 12:07Speaker 2: bit of a downer. I've been trying to avoid that
- 12:10Speaker 2: as much as I can. So let's start with our
- 12:12Speaker 2: first news story. British man unwittingly buys back his own
- 12:16Speaker 2: stolen car. Just a heads up, if you find a
- 12:20Speaker 2: deal that seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Nine times out of ten, there's gonna be something fishy
- 12:26Speaker 2: about the thing you're buying. Yeah, it's true, so you
- 12:30Speaker 2: and Valentine was upset when somebody swiped his beloved Honda
- 12:35Speaker 2: Civic type R.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Oh shit.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, insurance claims and police investigations take time, so he
- 12:41Speaker 2: had no choice but to buy a replacement vehicle, and
- 12:45Speaker 2: as a delightful surprise, he found another Type R online
- 12:48Speaker 2: and it looked just like the one he'd lost. Oh
- 12:51Speaker 2: and it wasn't too expensive, so it was perfect deal.
- 12:56Speaker 2: He paid more than twenty five thousand dollars for the
- 12:59Speaker 2: car and started driving it home, and that's when he
- 13:02Speaker 2: realized it didn't just look like his, it also handled
- 13:06Speaker 2: like his. Not only that it had a bunch of
- 13:09Speaker 2: trash in it they seem to recall leaving in the car,
- 13:12Speaker 2: like a tent peg in in the boot as they said,
- 13:18Speaker 2: in the trunk uh and uh and some some wrappers
- 13:22Speaker 2: from some food he'd remembered eating. And realized he'd unwittingly
- 13:25Speaker 2: handed out a bunch of cash to buy back his
- 13:28Speaker 2: own Pilford vehicle. Ah silver lining. He did get his
- 13:32Speaker 2: car back, and his insurance company will reimburse the money
- 13:37Speaker 2: once once they go through it and you know, collect
- 13:39Speaker 2: all the evidence for the police, who are definitely going
- 13:42Speaker 2: to now have a lead on to track down these
- 13:45Speaker 2: these thieves. Yeah, so this happened.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Wow, it's kind of fucked up.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Holy shit, Like I mean, like how did you not know?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Like out of them like this, like right away, out
- 14:03Speaker 3: of them, Like that's really odd.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Like everything's just like the license plates off.
- 14:09Speaker 2: You and admitted. In hindsight, I think my judgment was
- 14:12Speaker 2: a little clouded by how desperate I was to replace
- 14:14Speaker 2: my car, so I didn't do the most thorough check.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Yeah, like I don't know, like the fucking VIN number,
- 14:21Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. The VIN number had been changed.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Oh shit, Yeah, his his identification MET number didn't match
- 14:32Speaker 2: because the thieves had tampered with the car. However, they
- 14:36Speaker 2: also tried to override the VIN on the car's computer system. However,
- 14:39Speaker 2: professional mechanics extracted the original VIN, proving that it was
- 14:43Speaker 2: indeed his vehicle.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fucked up. Geez, those guys were good and
- 14:49Speaker 3: they knew what the fuck they were doing.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh they made twenty five thousand dollars out of
- 14:54Speaker 2: the deal, So.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Shit, that's fucked up.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Very clearly. They are skilled and talented. Damn any other
- 15:02Speaker 2: thoughts before we move on, because like me.
- 15:05Speaker 1: At least, they still a good car to an R
- 15:07Speaker 1: type civic. Fuck. Yeah, shit, this is something fun and fast,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I suppose.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, ready for something more fun.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Story number two. The world's tallest dog has a playdate
- 15:22Speaker 2: with the world's smallest dog opposite is attract Uh and
- 15:29Speaker 2: uh God, here's an adorable story to prove that that
- 15:32Speaker 2: is absolutely true. Reginald is the world's the Guinness World
- 15:38Speaker 2: Records title holder for being the tallest pooch on the planet,
- 15:42Speaker 2: towering above three feet. Pearl is his complete opposite, barely
- 15:47Speaker 2: breaking the three and a half inch mark.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Holy fuck three and a half inch?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, how is it even Fuck dude.
- 15:54Speaker 6: It's like it's like that.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah, she's she's about that tall. Just hand my hand,
- 16:01Speaker 2: just above the table. You might think that them being
- 16:04Speaker 2: vastly different sizes would cause problems, but they actually got
- 16:07Speaker 2: along very well. I'm assuming their differences are what brought
- 16:12Speaker 2: them together, because they both tried to figure out what
- 16:14Speaker 2: on earth that large slash tiny thing.
- 16:22Speaker 5: The small dog in question, I assuming the picture shown
- 16:27Speaker 5: and the article is correct. The small dog in question
- 16:30Speaker 5: is a Chihuahua and the large dog is a Great Dane.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Pearl is a Chihuaha from Florida, so you're absolutely uh
- 16:42Speaker 2: and Reginald.
- 16:45Speaker 1: A Great Dane from Australia.
- 16:47Speaker 2: It is a Great Dane, but he's not from Australia.
- 16:50Speaker 2: He's from Idaho.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Potato plan.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Well, great danes are like really really good natured dogs. Yes,
- 16:57Speaker 5: and chihuahuas think they're the biggest dog in the room.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeahala was gonna be in charge of that great day
- 17:02Speaker 1: now forever.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, this is gonna be the leader.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, one hundred percent, like those fucking cartoons back
- 17:08Speaker 1: in the day.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Oh, he's so much fun.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But Reginald, despite being as tall as he is, is
- 17:15Speaker 2: according to his owner Sam, his size and his uh
- 17:19Speaker 2: his name are somewhat misleading. Sam said, he's just a
- 17:23Speaker 2: big baby. He acts like a human toddler. He's super playful,
- 17:26Speaker 2: very vocal, very much. He'll tell you what he wants
- 17:29Speaker 2: when he wants it. That said, he's tall enough that
- 17:33Speaker 2: he can eat off counters, so his owners have gone
- 17:36Speaker 2: to great lengths to teach him only from his bowl,
- 17:39Speaker 2: which sits on a two foot tall pedestal. He does
- 17:43Speaker 2: get one concession, though, whenever he's thirsty, he's allowed to
- 17:46Speaker 2: drink straight out of the sink.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's fair, I can do this.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Pearl, on the other hand, is described by her family
- 17:55Speaker 2: as a pocket sized diva, much like her larger counterpart.
- 18:02Speaker 2: She will let you know when she wants something, but
- 18:04Speaker 2: She's not yappy like you would expect ho to be.
- 18:08Speaker 2: She expresses herself like a cow. She'll snort, moan, or snore,
- 18:12Speaker 2: but rarely barks. And she's a fashion fashionista. She owns
- 18:17Speaker 2: a lot of outfits and appears to genuinely enjoy wearing them.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Her mother, Vanessa, says, her wardrobe is I think bigger
- 18:24Speaker 2: than mine.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 18:27Speaker 2: She chooses what she wants to wear each day, and
- 18:29Speaker 2: it's really funny for me because I can actually see
- 18:32Speaker 2: her mood that day, says Vanessa.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Wow, that's fucking crazy. But I get pampering your animals.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I get it.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I am one hundred percent guilty of it. I'll give
- 18:43Speaker 3: my animals whatever the fuck they want. But I only
- 18:46Speaker 3: go so far.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You know. It's like I don't have outfits for that
- 18:52Speaker 1: dog's making her go out by his clothing. The dog
- 18:54Speaker 1: tells it. She speaks to me, No one's around. My god,
- 18:58Speaker 1: we need to go shopping. We just went chopping yesterday. Yes,
- 19:03Speaker 1: that was yesterday. I need another out for tomorrow.
- 19:06Speaker 4: How long that is in dog years?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Now, let's go shopping.
- 19:13Speaker 2: As a final tip off to the story, at the
- 19:15Speaker 2: very bottom of it is a picture of the Chuahua's
- 19:18Speaker 2: paw on the Reginald's paw, and it is just as
- 19:22Speaker 2: stark a contrast as you can imagine, absolutely tiny, massive
- 19:31Speaker 2: his hoof.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Small white pebble and a massive oil spill.
- 19:40Speaker 2: But yeah, that's really cute. I'm so glad that they
- 19:43Speaker 2: got along because that's adorable anyway. Yeah, I just really
- 19:49Speaker 2: enjoyed that, so I had to include that story. And
- 19:54Speaker 2: then finally we have a story number three. Climber rescued
- 19:59Speaker 2: from mounta Fuji and then rescued again because he went
- 20:03Speaker 2: back for his phone.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Oh they got him. I'm so so they rescued him,
- 20:10Speaker 1: you know, so glad.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's the old saying, rescue me from Mount Fuji wants
- 20:14Speaker 2: shame on you. Rescue me from Mount Fuji twice.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Shame on me, Yes, rescue me from Mount Fuji three times.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Mount Fuji is stealing people?
- 20:26Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely one of those pescastle bullshit.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, our our hero if you want to call him that.
- 20:35Speaker 2: As a twenty seven year old Chinese man, he's a
- 20:37Speaker 2: college student living in Japan, and he turns out to
- 20:40Speaker 2: be an enthusiastic mountain climber. Enthusiasm doesn't directly translate to skill,
- 20:46Speaker 2: pointing that out. He was doing just fine the first
- 20:49Speaker 2: time and climbed to an elevation of more than ninety
- 20:51Speaker 2: eight hundred feet. Unfortunately, at that point, the mountain started
- 20:54Speaker 2: to get the best of him. He started feeling ill
- 20:56Speaker 2: due to altitude sickness, which is caused by off falling
- 21:00Speaker 2: oxygen levels in the blood. He wanted to turn back,
- 21:03Speaker 2: but then he somehow managed to lose his crampons, which
- 21:05Speaker 2: are spike detachments fixed to your feet to provide more
- 21:09Speaker 2: traction on icy rocks. With his gear gone and feeling sick,
- 21:12Speaker 2: he had no option but to call for help, and
- 21:15Speaker 2: a helicopter picked him up and took him to the hospital.
- 21:18Speaker 2: He recovered in the hospital for a couple of days
- 21:20Speaker 2: before being discharged, But then he realized he couldn't find
- 21:23Speaker 2: his phone and the last time he'd used it was
- 21:25Speaker 2: up on Mount Fuji, so that's where the phone had
- 21:28Speaker 2: to be. Oh well, he sure wasn't about to do
- 21:32Speaker 2: something smart and buy a new phone, so he set
- 21:35Speaker 2: up him out and again four days later to try
- 21:37Speaker 2: and retrieve his lost cell phone. He advanced right back
- 21:40Speaker 2: up to where he was before ninety eight hundred feet
- 21:42Speaker 2: and he came down with altitude sickness again. Another mountain
- 21:47Speaker 2: climber found him and alerted the authorities, and a helicopter
- 21:50Speaker 2: picked him up once more and took him back to
- 21:52Speaker 2: the hospital. I would genuinely give a lot to have
- 21:57Speaker 2: been in that helicopter this second time.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Why to push him out of it?
- 22:01Speaker 2: That conversation must have been something must have been just unbelievable.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Like imagine the hospital be like, wait, he's back, Oh,
- 22:13Speaker 5: did it like come back?
- 22:13Speaker 4: He's like no, no, he went back up usually.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Against those tip things. But from that point I'm like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: you know, yeah, you can put up the little tip
- 22:19Speaker 1: machine for those helicopter people.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Now, this is all None of this should have happened.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Because the mountain is officially closed from September to July.
- 22:31Speaker 2: There's only two months in the climbing season. Outside of that,
- 22:34Speaker 2: you're not supposed to be up there because the conditions
- 22:36Speaker 2: are too hazardous.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Okay, So him and the other climber were both violating
- 22:41Speaker 1: They were both.
- 22:42Speaker 2: They were both violating the rules. So, following his double attempt,
- 22:45Speaker 2: the police of the prefecture in which this mountain resides
- 22:48Speaker 2: reiterated their advice that people not try climbing Mount Fuji
- 22:52Speaker 2: outside of the official season.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Please, with the love of God, stop trying to kill yourself.
- 22:58Speaker 2: And double that, if you leave your phone up high
- 23:01Speaker 2: up on a mountain, fucking leave it there. Phones are replaceable,
- 23:06Speaker 2: you are not well. To be fair, I just replaced
- 23:16Speaker 2: my phone and it was a monumental pain in the ass. Really,
- 23:21Speaker 2: so much is tied to our phone nowadays, I would
- 23:27Speaker 2: have considered it. I'm not a mountain climber. I'm not
- 23:31Speaker 2: a mountain climber.
- 23:32Speaker 1: But if say you left it to avoid going again,
- 23:36Speaker 1: like you left your phone, like five hours away.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Months of work to get everything turned over to this
- 23:42Speaker 2: new phone, I had to call several companies and stand
- 23:44Speaker 2: on the phone for hours to get my things phone numbers.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Not just a new phone, it was a new number too,
- 23:52Speaker 2: So yeah, it was a double les. Anyway, those are
- 23:56Speaker 2: three news stories. Our players have to figure out which
- 23:59Speaker 2: one of these I thought was the worst news story
- 24:01Speaker 2: of the week. Fair, uh, And this might be tough,
- 24:04Speaker 2: but uh, I guess I won last. Stevie says he
- 24:08Speaker 2: won last, So I will go with that, and you
- 24:10Speaker 2: get the first choice with.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That, check me what call in and find out the
- 24:14Speaker 1: worst of the best, right, Yes, which.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Of these is the worst news story of the week?
- 24:19Speaker 5: For the point, I think, I think that the British
- 24:26Speaker 5: Man unwittingly buying back is stolen car.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I mean, that's just like anyone doing that, Like you
- 24:33Speaker 4: don't check.
- 24:33Speaker 5: I get being like exasperated and being desperate and be like,
- 24:37Speaker 5: oh god, I need a vehicle because I gotta do stuff,
- 24:39Speaker 5: will get some over.
- 24:40Speaker 4: But like when you're you, I'm pretty sure.
- 24:43Speaker 1: You'd recognize your vehicle.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I know, Like I assume they didn't change the paint
- 24:48Speaker 4: job at all. They just changed the view.
- 24:50Speaker 1: The same color and everything.
- 24:52Speaker 5: Yeah, like, no way, it color, same colors, same color.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Wow, it's got the same gash in the side of.
- 25:00Speaker 2: This even had the same custom exhaust system he'd put
- 25:03Speaker 2: in himself.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Okay, that's on him. That's a him. I'm not that
- 25:10Speaker 1: big of a car guy, but I know for a
- 25:12Speaker 1: fact what my car would look like the minute open
- 25:14Speaker 1: the trunk up, like I would like I would know, like.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I put up the glove box out here, there's my
- 25:18Speaker 4: uh the registrate.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Name on it.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I got good one. That's a good call yet.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, so Oggie's coming with the British man
- 25:30Speaker 2: unwittingly buying back his own stolen car. Stevie, you must
- 25:32Speaker 2: pick one of the other two.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm going with the worst story being the idiot who
- 25:38Speaker 3: went back up on the fucking mountain, not only violating
- 25:41Speaker 3: the law twice, wasting ems twice, and the hospital and
- 25:47Speaker 3: the bill and plenty of other things, not to mention
- 25:50Speaker 3: pissing off the carrier when he gets back because you
- 25:52Speaker 3: know that phone is no longer working. He's going into
- 25:54Speaker 3: that store and some fucking eighteen year old kids like
- 25:56Speaker 3: I can't transfer to data because his phone is ruined,
- 25:59Speaker 3: and he's getting to get like.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Ship for that. So fuck that guy. She'll left him
- 26:04Speaker 1: on the fucking mountain.
- 26:05Speaker 2: You should climb out a third time.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and nobody go get him this time.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Or do because it's illegal to be up there.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, right now, throw them off of it.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Well, yeah, this one is real close. You guys were
- 26:19Speaker 2: absolutely to You guys were absolutely right to leave the
- 26:21Speaker 2: dogs out, because obviously that's right. That's my favorite. I
- 26:27Speaker 2: love that. I love the fact they got along. They
- 26:29Speaker 2: like Reggie actually got down on the couch so so
- 26:32Speaker 2: Pearl could actually like get up close to him and whatnot,
- 26:35Speaker 2: and then they cuddled together while their owners were talking about,
- 26:41Speaker 2: you know, the experience of raising the two different dogs.
- 26:44Speaker 2: And I'm pretty sure this whole thing was like a
- 26:46Speaker 2: publicity stump put together by Guinness themselves, but I kind
- 26:50Speaker 2: of don't care. It's yeah, it was Guinness the web.
- 26:54Speaker 2: The news is on the Guinness website. That's fairly good.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I thought it was like the engineering arena or something,
- 27:02Speaker 2: but it was super cute and I just really dug
- 27:04Speaker 2: that cool. So it obviously we came down between the
- 27:07Speaker 2: other two, and this was really difficult to decide, but
- 27:10Speaker 2: in the end I went with the British man who
- 27:14Speaker 2: bought back his own stolen car. Yep, that's absolutely yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 2: The Chinese dude was stupid, but he was also a
- 27:21Speaker 2: college student and he probably didn't have that much money,
- 27:24Speaker 2: which might have played into his decision not to tie.
- 27:28Speaker 2: But still, at the same time, it was pretty fucking dumb. However,
- 27:33Speaker 2: this this this dude who bought his his car back.
- 27:37Speaker 2: He's a software engineer. He makes more than enough money
- 27:41Speaker 2: to pay twenty five thousand dollars in cash all at
- 27:46Speaker 2: once and just have his car immediately paid off. And
- 27:48Speaker 2: that just kind of makes me hate.
- 27:49Speaker 5: This guy so because he didn't really get punished for
- 27:54Speaker 5: I mean, not that he should be punished his car stolen.
- 27:57Speaker 2: He's not going to get punished, is the thing? For
- 28:00Speaker 2: his stupidity is that the the insurance company is going
- 28:03Speaker 2: to reimburse the money, which is.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Infuriating at the same time, it's like, yeah, it's like,
- 28:08Speaker 5: how could you not know?
- 28:09Speaker 2: It's true? Yeah, it's it's it's incomprehensible stupidity, which honestly
- 28:15Speaker 2: is the domain of the rich at this point. So
- 28:18Speaker 2: in any event, uh, that is gonna be one point
- 28:21Speaker 2: to augumize the lead episode. Swell done, aug We'll see
- 28:26Speaker 2: if you can hold on to that lead. Game two
- 28:29Speaker 2: is gonna be where two points. We're gonna play it
- 28:30Speaker 2: right after this.

- 29:32Speaker 2: not an email, not a comment, but an audio thing.
- 29:35Speaker 1: There's an audio thing.
- 29:36Speaker 2: So I'm kind of concerned that you're you're prefacing it
- 29:39Speaker 2: by saying it's not any of those things.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it was sent to us.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Okay, it's before we know it's not a voicemail.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just play this you see it, audigate the
- 29:51Speaker 3: very end, play that.

- 30:20Speaker 1: and don't feel odd. Leave us some message on our site.
- 30:23Speaker 1: B f Y and w pod dot com.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Oh shit, Oh my god.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Holy.
- 30:34Speaker 2: God, damn it. I need that ship on my phone tomorrow.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Dude, you are the whitest dude I know, right, Jesus.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Mad white man man.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Why I did that.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Real quick when I was muted with all that myself.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Let me write this up real quick.
- 30:51Speaker 2: You do it real fast, idea on a damn it
- 31:05Speaker 2: I was. I was literally just like, fuck, man, what
- 31:10Speaker 2: is he doing? But then some of the rhymes are
- 31:14Speaker 2: pretty hot. I got it. Go admit, appreciate that your
- 31:17Speaker 2: wrapping skill needs some sumbing to be desired.
- 31:21Speaker 1: It might have been a little high, you were, definitely.
- 31:25Speaker 2: But it was good. It was good, son. I need
- 31:28Speaker 2: to have that on my phone. It is going to
- 31:30Speaker 2: be your fucking ring tone. MC Testes Nuts.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I'll put it on.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I don't even care if I'm in the middle of
- 31:37Speaker 2: like a crowded elevator and that hick goes off, I'm
- 31:40Speaker 2: be jamming, like, Yeah, it's mc testes Nuts. He's the
- 31:44Speaker 2: hot He's the hottest rapper that's going right now.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Buffalo represent.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Buffalo rap scene. Look out testing Nuts coming in man.
- 31:59Speaker 1: If I can bringing DJ Skittles up in here too, rapper.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Back, damn it. That's amazing. That is amazing. All right, Well,
- 32:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna top that, but you might as well try.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Let's try, let's try.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Game two is gonna be pitch me Baby one more
- 32:20Speaker 2: time now. So it turns out that my boys here
- 32:25Speaker 2: kind of misunderstood my prompt. So we discussed it, and
- 32:30Speaker 2: during the breaks they actually pitched me what they originally
- 32:33Speaker 2: thought the prompt was about. Uh So, if you want
- 32:36Speaker 2: to hear that you need to be a Patret member.
- 32:38Speaker 2: This is five bucks a month. We'll go over it
- 32:40Speaker 2: at the end of the show. But having said that,
- 32:44Speaker 2: we're still gonna play the game, and they're gonna actually
- 32:47Speaker 2: have a real prompt to go with this. Yeah, but
- 32:49Speaker 2: it's interesting. It's gonna be interesting to hear because I
- 32:51Speaker 2: understand they didn't put as much time into these as
- 32:54Speaker 2: they did the other one, so we'll see. Uh So,
- 32:57Speaker 2: here's what they were given. April twenty was National Gummy
- 33:01Speaker 2: Bear Day, and I've consumed more than my fair share
- 33:04Speaker 2: of the gummy bastards. So instead of food, I want
- 33:08Speaker 2: something else. I want you to pitch me a crossover
- 33:11Speaker 2: between gummy bears and an entertainment property. The result can
- 33:15Speaker 2: be a book, a TV show, a movie, or a
- 33:17Speaker 2: video game. Best crossover pitch wins. I was looking for
- 33:21Speaker 2: something entertainment, so to speak. They were looking for food.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I think they were just both stoned and hungry and
- 33:28Speaker 2: were like, gunny beer sounds good, what can we make
- 33:31Speaker 2: a food out of? So it'll be interesting to hear
- 33:38Speaker 2: exactly how half baked these patches, these pitches are. But
- 33:43Speaker 2: I will tell you that if you are a patreot,
- 33:45Speaker 2: remember it is one hundred percent worth going and listening
- 33:47Speaker 2: to the behind the scenes of that one, because those
- 33:51Speaker 2: pitches were wild. Yes, so let's see, Stevie, you lost
- 33:57Speaker 2: the last game. Would you like to go first or second?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh? I think we have all ego first this time.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Okay, so ah, in that case, pitch me your Gummy
- 34:06Speaker 2: Bears entertainment crossover.
- 34:09Speaker 5: All right, So basically Disney is going to do a
- 34:13Speaker 5: crossover with with Gummy Bears but using the Star Wars
- 34:17Speaker 5: ip and they're basically going to have a variant of Ewoks.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Oh that's so good. Oh shit, fuck gummy ewoks.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Gummy Ewoks. But and it kind of has a dark
- 34:32Speaker 5: twist if you think about it having gummy Ewoks, because
- 34:34Speaker 5: if you like, if you put gummy ewoks back in
- 34:37Speaker 5: like episode six. The end of that episode would be
- 34:40Speaker 5: like where have all the people gone? But you know,
- 34:45Speaker 5: on the bright side, the rebels would still win in
- 34:47Speaker 5: the end because the uh, the Imperial Stormtroopers would be
- 34:51Speaker 5: so hopped up on sugger their aim would never get
- 34:53Speaker 5: any better.
- 34:55Speaker 2: That's fair. That's fair. That's fair. Okay, So not a
- 35:01Speaker 2: lot there, but I didn't like what was there. Yeah,
- 35:05Speaker 2: it's a good choice. Honestly, that was awesome.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I like the idea you could do it, Java is
- 35:10Speaker 1: if you want to.
- 35:11Speaker 4: The small creatures from start.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, dude, I love this.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah, there's there's a lot of little little bear like
- 35:21Speaker 2: creatures run around that fucking franchise. Yeah. You could even
- 35:25Speaker 2: go big and get gummy wookies.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's a good one, just like.
- 35:31Speaker 4: The giant gummy bear.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah, who would gummy bear?
- 35:42Speaker 5: That's what you sound with, Like, have a gummy bear
- 35:46Speaker 5: watched in your throat?
- 35:50Speaker 2: Stevie, what do you got?
- 35:53Speaker 1: Okay, here's my new pitch, Guvey Bears of the old
- 35:57Speaker 1: nineties cartoon as an adult animated movie. Now, the Gummy.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Bears have been run out of their tree village, but
- 36:05Speaker 3: still have their gummy berry juice as a power up,
- 36:08Speaker 3: but they're inviting, but they're invading care a lot of
- 36:12Speaker 3: the care Bears and this always needed comic crossover. The
- 36:18Speaker 3: Gummy Bears have had enough bouncing around and a ready
- 36:21Speaker 3: to lay claim to the true Bear empire. Tenderheart versus
- 36:25Speaker 3: gruffy Gummy Tummy Gummy versus Grumpy Hell.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Even Lady Bain and dark.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Heart can make an appearance and they have to team
- 36:33Speaker 3: up and take them all out together. Like, dude, this
- 36:35Speaker 3: shit could be fucking epic. Do you ever watch those
- 36:38Speaker 3: fucking movies The car Beer Ones one and two? Fucking
- 36:41Speaker 3: sick man, this could be like the trilogy that ends
- 36:44Speaker 3: it all.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Man, If I recall the first one actually made a
- 36:49Speaker 2: big impression on me as a.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Child, the first that was not the camp one, right,
- 36:54Speaker 3: that was the second one, dark Heart, I remember dark
- 36:58Speaker 3: the first one though.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Here's the only The only problem with your pitch is
- 37:05Speaker 2: I actually think the Gummy Bears and care Beers have
- 37:08Speaker 2: crossed over already once before.
- 37:10Speaker 3: But not to fight each other in like Marvel style
- 37:13Speaker 3: and then team up the fight on the fucking dark
- 37:15Speaker 3: Bitch and Dark Heart yeah, maybe it's almost.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Like Batman Superman.
- 37:21Speaker 3: They fight each other first and then they team up
- 37:24Speaker 3: to take those bitches out who got them running out
- 37:27Speaker 3: of their forest ship.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Well, in any event, whether it actually does exist or doesn't,
- 37:33Speaker 2: I'm going I'm going with is a stronger. It's a
- 37:39Speaker 2: stronger idea. It's fair Yours had a little bit more
- 37:42Speaker 2: meat on the bones, but I think Augis has more potential,
- 37:46Speaker 2: So I'm going to go with that.
- 37:47Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Having said that, like, I still whether it exists or not,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I still enjoy the care Bears Gummy Bears crossover. I'm
- 37:57Speaker 2: just I'm just googling to see if it actually does exist.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Probably does. I wouldn't be surprised.
- 38:01Speaker 4: It seems almost obvious you think about it.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I mean they do in case of food. You can
- 38:07Speaker 2: still buy from the candy warehouse a care Bears Gummy
- 38:10Speaker 2: Bears three point one out pack or theater box, So
- 38:13Speaker 2: the care Bears they crossed over in case of food.
- 38:16Speaker 2: But I seem to recall there actually being like a
- 38:20Speaker 2: like I don't know if it was a TV show
- 38:22Speaker 2: or if it was or if it was a comic book,
- 38:25Speaker 2: it was something like they actually did crossover like the
- 38:28Speaker 2: the two and.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Could be out of my as no, no care beers
- 38:35Speaker 3: did do a crossover. I just can't remember who they
- 38:36Speaker 3: did it with.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I I just can't remember.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Thought it was something different, who knows, who knows? Probably
- 38:43Speaker 3: some other fucking bear like Winnie the Pooh or some ship.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, it could have been anything. But to
- 38:48Speaker 2: be fair, I just can't find it. But it doesn't
- 38:50Speaker 2: matter fair neither here nor there, nor everywhere. So I
- 38:55Speaker 2: couldn't help myself, all right. So with that, OGI has
- 38:59Speaker 2: three point to see.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I shouldn't have said that one game.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Is crushing it. So let's see if you can continue
- 39:07Speaker 2: to crush it. We're gonna play game three right after this.
- 39:37Speaker 3: H Hey, if you're in the western New York area
- 39:58Speaker 3: and you are a fan of the Green, head on
- 40:01Speaker 3: over to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self
- 40:03Speaker 3: Transit Road in Lockport, New York. Tell them b FY
- 40:06Speaker 3: twent able to hook you up.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game three. Game
- 40:23Speaker 2: three is gonna be no more bastards. Fuck, it's been
- 40:27Speaker 2: a hot minute. So if we played this, this is
- 40:30Speaker 2: the quote unquote gentleman's game of selecting a character, whether
- 40:35Speaker 2: that's a real person or a fictional character, or you know,
- 40:39Speaker 2: a dead person, is anything in between. As long as
- 40:42Speaker 2: the rule is, they just have to be a sentient creature.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Fair they need to be able to talk and understand things,
- 40:49Speaker 2: So pets are excluded unless they're like animated pets who
- 40:53Speaker 2: actually are a sentient. So yes, that's the only rule.
- 40:59Speaker 2: You can pick anyone you want, and then you say
- 41:01Speaker 2: no more blank, and the blank is a category that
- 41:04Speaker 2: that person falls into. So if I were to say
- 41:07Speaker 2: Brian from Family Guy, I would then say no more
- 41:11Speaker 2: sentient animals. Yeah, in which case anyone who names a
- 41:16Speaker 2: sentient animal after that can be challenged. And if it
- 41:19Speaker 2: is proven that who they picked falls into a category
- 41:22Speaker 2: that was eliminated, they are eliminated from the game and
- 41:25Speaker 2: we keep playing until there's only one player left. And
- 41:28Speaker 2: best of all, I'm going to be playing as well,
- 41:30Speaker 2: dun so it will be a three way race to
- 41:34Speaker 2: try and eliminate each other by coming up with devious
- 41:38Speaker 2: character choices and even more devious categories to try and
- 41:42Speaker 2: trip each other up and force someone to make a
- 41:45Speaker 2: unforced error. So the rules are that you if you
- 41:54Speaker 2: name a category that is too wide that's not allowed.
- 41:57Speaker 2: So you can't say people who breathe all men all women.
- 42:02Speaker 2: You can't do that. You know, it has to be
- 42:04Speaker 2: something narrower than that to make the game last a
- 42:07Speaker 2: decent length of time, because we don't want to just
- 42:09Speaker 2: immediately go out and the But if you get challenged
- 42:14Speaker 2: on that, it doesn't actually count against your challenges and
- 42:16Speaker 2: you don't get eliminated. You just have to choose something else.
- 42:19Speaker 2: That's all. Players have two free challenges that they can
- 42:23Speaker 2: use to try and challenge somebody if they think their
- 42:26Speaker 2: choice fits into a previous category. However, if it's proven
- 42:29Speaker 2: that it does not fall into that category and their
- 42:31Speaker 2: challenge is wasted, they lose that free challenge, And if
- 42:34Speaker 2: they do it a third time after they're out of
- 42:36Speaker 2: free challenges and they're wrong a third time, they are
- 42:40Speaker 2: eliminated instead. So you can't just challenge Willie Nilly. You've
- 42:45Speaker 2: got to think about when to use it. And that's
- 42:48Speaker 2: pretty much all the rules of the game. So shall
- 42:50Speaker 2: we get to playing. Augie won the last two games,
- 42:55Speaker 2: So Stevie, I'm gonna give you the choice. I'm assuming
- 42:57Speaker 2: you're gonna want to go first.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I think typically going.
- 43:00Speaker 2: First in this game is the easiest because the very
- 43:02Speaker 2: first person has no restrictions whatsoever.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and there's like no writing down.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not allowed to write anything down. This all
- 43:09Speaker 2: from memory, which is.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Great for those but bad short term.
- 43:12Speaker 1: This is going to be amazing.
- 43:14Speaker 2: And also, people at home feel free to play along.
- 43:17Speaker 2: And if you catch us in something that we miss,
- 43:19Speaker 2: like somebody says something that falls into a category and
- 43:22Speaker 2: nobody challenges them on it, please feel free to send
- 43:24Speaker 2: that in to us. We don't catch it because we
- 43:28Speaker 2: don't get everything, you know, and some things may slip
- 43:30Speaker 2: by the radar in which is well done to that player.
- 43:33Speaker 2: But it's always fun to hear from people who catch
- 43:36Speaker 2: things after the fact. So TV start us off. Whenever
- 43:39Speaker 2: you're ready, name a person and then say no more
- 43:42Speaker 2: whatever category they belong to.
- 43:44Speaker 1: John wick ooh, I like that. No more protagonists that
- 43:51Speaker 1: wield pistols.
- 43:56Speaker 2: So by pistols you mean a handgun.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Correct, not like long Ride. I mean I know he
- 44:01Speaker 3: does use rifles, by his signature is the pistols?
- 44:03Speaker 2: Okay? Do I tempt fate already to other things? The
- 44:15Speaker 2: thing about this game is that as soon as as
- 44:17Speaker 2: soon as someone names the category. Your mind immediately goes
- 44:19Speaker 2: to people who fit into that. You can't help it.
- 44:22Speaker 2: You can't help it. You just start thinking instead of
- 44:25Speaker 2: not thinking about that is what you should do. I'm
- 44:28Speaker 2: gonna tempt fate because I genuinely think this is a
- 44:30Speaker 2: different thing. Okay, I'm gonna say Mega Man because he
- 44:36Speaker 2: doesn't use a handgun. He has the Megabuster, which is
- 44:39Speaker 2: technically a cannon.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And it's not Handheld's a Mega Man where he's holding
- 44:47Speaker 1: the gun though.
- 44:50Speaker 2: You're talking about the concept art that is on the
- 44:52Speaker 2: front of the very and had a gun. No Mega
- 44:56Speaker 2: Man has ever held. Mega Man zero is a different character.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Does wheel a pistol? But that's that is a that
- 45:04Speaker 2: is a different character. It is in the Mega Man franchise.
- 45:09Speaker 2: But I am specifically referring to Mega Man, the character
- 45:12Speaker 2: from the original Mega Man games. You know who has
- 45:15Speaker 2: who has a cannon? Literally his hand literally is a gun.
- 45:19Speaker 4: You know, it's really funny. I was thinking Barrett from
- 45:21Speaker 4: Final Fantasy.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Again, I think that would also not apply because it's
- 45:26Speaker 2: not it's not a pistol, it's a gall.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Well, I know, like the Mega Buster is different, but
- 45:32Speaker 3: I could That's why I was like, I think he
- 45:34Speaker 3: had a gun in something.
- 45:35Speaker 7: This.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I was like, holy shit, I gotta check this.
- 45:39Speaker 2: I've already told you, but I know I have to.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I have to check. I have to check. I used
- 45:44Speaker 1: to challenge.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Me, getting Stevie to waste one of his challenges. Right
- 45:47Speaker 2: from the get go.
- 45:48Speaker 1: He did.
- 45:52Speaker 5: Whatever works.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he's Garrett's going to be right. Oh no, yeah, yeah,
- 46:01Speaker 1: I gotta find.
- 46:03Speaker 4: Typically if you don't find anything after like the first
- 46:05Speaker 4: five minutes.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Of search, yeah, usually it's pretty quick.
- 46:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I guess you're.
- 46:16Speaker 3: A human Mega Man who was a hand good instead
- 46:18Speaker 3: of being able to copy a robe up.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I think that's not even right.
- 46:22Speaker 3: So yeah, there's only one thing I saw in there
- 46:23Speaker 3: that said it, and that's in Wikipedia, So who the
- 46:27Speaker 3: fuck knows.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I'll go with your correct at.
- 46:32Speaker 2: So, yes, there was, Like I said, there, there was
- 46:34Speaker 2: a character called Mega Man Zero. It was a bunch
- 46:37Speaker 2: of game Boy Advanced games. It was not actually Mega Man,
- 46:40Speaker 2: but it was the character of Zero right back to life. Yes,
- 46:44Speaker 2: and he actually did wield a handheld pistol. He was
- 46:47Speaker 2: the first Mega Man character to do so, as far
- 46:50Speaker 2: as I know now. The other exception that you could
- 46:52Speaker 2: have made would have been for that. That character art
- 46:55Speaker 2: that I talked about, the box art for Mega Man
- 46:58Speaker 2: one shows, yeah, show him holding a pistol instead of
- 47:02Speaker 2: it being his cannon. However, this has been described by
- 47:06Speaker 2: you know, the franchise designers themselves as being inaccurate, that
- 47:10Speaker 2: meg Man actually has the gun built into his arm
- 47:12Speaker 2: rather than holding a gun. So I will take that,
- 47:17Speaker 2: and I will say, uh, no more characters known for
- 47:22Speaker 2: primarily being blue.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Okay, the color right, yes, the color googall.
- 47:30Speaker 2: No character is primarily known for being blown, So no,
- 47:38Speaker 2: Bill Clinton, Oh no, John Holmes a lot? Uh what
- 47:51Speaker 2: you got?
- 47:52Speaker 4: Some scrawl from Final Sam Final Fantasy.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Eight that is, I do know, And it's very funny.
- 48:04Speaker 2: It's very funny because again it's the kind of thing
- 48:06Speaker 2: you can go but not really wields a gun blade. Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 2: it's it's a shotgun. Technically it is a handheld gun.
- 48:21Speaker 2: But it's a handheld gun. That's also a sword, which
- 48:25Speaker 2: doesn't really fit. No, he said pistols. It is definitely
- 48:29Speaker 2: not a pistol. It's definitely not good for your wrist.
- 48:32Speaker 2: It definitely wouldn't work in real life either.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I don't think any of that ship would work in
- 48:36Speaker 1: real life.
- 48:37Speaker 5: That's why it's called Final Fantasy, The Final Final Fantasy.
- 48:41Speaker 4: It was a ridiculous wall. No more protagonists that play
- 48:48Speaker 4: card games.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Okay, there's like only three I can think of.
- 48:58Speaker 4: It's the only thing I could think of do.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Although interesting, it christ to me I might be able
- 49:06Speaker 2: to use that to trip somebody up.
- 49:11Speaker 4: Well, then, Stevie, miss pac Man, this man's got a good.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Ghost what Okay? Yeah, definitely you get away with that.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Definitely not.
- 49:27Speaker 4: I don't think she's ever played cards.
- 49:29Speaker 2: She's definitely not blue. I mean, even when she gives
- 49:32Speaker 2: a power pellet, it's not her primary color. She's primarily yellow.
- 49:37Speaker 1: So uh, No more characters that use power ups.
- 49:43Speaker 4: Oh Jesus Jesus, was that too broad? No, that's good.
- 49:47Speaker 1: No, it's good.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Ho ho. I will go with with Thumb Chris Thorpe,
- 50:07Speaker 2: who is the protagonist of THINGE. Damn it.
- 50:18Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 50:24Speaker 2: You got nothing and you know it.
- 50:28Speaker 3: I don't want to spoil things, but technically everything he
- 50:31Speaker 3: asked for is a power up.
- 50:32Speaker 2: No no, no, no, you use power up as in
- 50:37Speaker 2: the video. Which no. Now, if he'd eat't a magic
- 50:42Speaker 2: mushroom at any point, then I might have allowed it.
- 50:45Speaker 2: But no smoke. That's if anything.
- 50:53Speaker 1: He has motivated. He's a food and ship.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Uh, go ahead and challenge waste another one. Okay, so
- 51:03Speaker 2: no protagonists or sorry, no people whose first name is
- 51:09Speaker 2: spelled differently than the majority of people would spell that name.
- 51:16Speaker 1: God, damn it, that's that's hard to figure.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Just for those listening who don't know what I'm talking about, Chris,
- 51:21Speaker 2: in his case is spelled c r I S. So
- 51:25Speaker 2: the most common spelling of Chris is c h r
- 51:28Speaker 2: I s.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Oh boy, this is where it all falls off. No,
- 51:44Speaker 5: I'm sure he's played cards. Fuck myself with my own
- 51:51Speaker 5: thing again it's always mine too, because now I can
- 51:54Speaker 5: never think of anything else but a boy.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Wow, this is difficult now, and now it's really getting
- 52:04Speaker 1: hard to is it.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I still feel like there's a treasure trove of
- 52:10Speaker 2: people we haven't even touched.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, uh, I'm shot in the dark. Magneto Okay,
- 52:25Speaker 1: I mean he's not gambit, so it's not the card thing.
- 52:29Speaker 5: Damn it again.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Let's see the card shark. Magneto ever a professional poker player,
- 52:42Speaker 2: I don't think so amazing.
- 52:45Speaker 1: His real name Vincent Vincent or is it.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna fucking I'm gonna challenge because I think his
- 52:56Speaker 2: name is Eric with a ca, Eric with a KNA.
- 53:00Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 53:01Speaker 5: Unfortu people from like East Europe want a word with you.
- 53:11Speaker 2: No, it's not, No, it's not. Eric isn't assumed identity.
- 53:17Speaker 2: It's not his real name. His real name is Max Eisenhert,
- 53:21Speaker 2: and Max is spelled a.
- 53:24Speaker 4: Son of a bitch't know that.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Eric Magnus Lenscher isn't assumed identity. It's not his real name. Wow,
- 53:32Speaker 2: I got shot in the foot. Fucking all right, all right,
- 53:36Speaker 2: I give a lose my challenge. I genuinely thought I had,
- 53:44Speaker 2: but you got away with it. Unless Stevie wants to
- 53:47Speaker 2: challenge for something else, I'm tapped out. I'm done. I'm
- 53:49Speaker 2: not doing that again.
- 53:50Speaker 1: He's purple, right, Yeah?
- 53:52Speaker 2: I thought he was purple and red the movies. He
- 54:00Speaker 2: seems to be more black than anything.
- 54:01Speaker 4: Yeah, they changed up his colors game a bit, I got.
- 54:04Speaker 4: I don't think he's blue, so I don't think so.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Maybe maybe in like some Atari games.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Somewhere ship is that his real name? Fuck? I still
- 54:28Speaker 1: have to well, yeah, you gotta pick a thing right for.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Yeah, only if you give up, but you're taking no.
- 54:33Speaker 1: No, no, I said, no, go for it. I was
- 54:35Speaker 1: starting to think of an next person.
- 54:36Speaker 5: Okay, go ahead. Uh no more characters played by uh
- 54:41Speaker 5: different actors.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Oh, it's like two different more.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Than one actor, by more than one actor. Oh, and
- 54:49Speaker 2: that door is left open too.
- 54:52Speaker 3: No more characters played by more than one actor. Okay,
- 54:57Speaker 3: Oh wait a minute, it's in like parody too, or.
- 55:02Speaker 2: He said, characters played by Oh fuck me?
- 55:09Speaker 1: Oh you just damn it.
- 55:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's out.
- 55:23Speaker 1: A character has to be senting, it has to be
- 55:25Speaker 1: able to talk.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I think that's safe.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Fucker. Yeah, it's not me, right, Angel, motherfuckers, I'm an
- 55:41Speaker 1: actual character.
- 55:42Speaker 6: Do you have a character in a book.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I'm a fucking character.
- 55:45Speaker 6: Yeah, bitch, I'm a giraffe.
- 55:46Speaker 1: What motherfucker he's over here? Technically still a character, been
- 55:53Speaker 1: using multiple things on multiple shows.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Now always only played by one person.
- 56:02Speaker 1: If you can use your characters in your book, I
- 56:04Speaker 1: can use Angel.
- 56:10Speaker 4: Kind of did it to yourself and to me.
- 56:12Speaker 2: I'm just thinking if one person even imitated that back
- 56:16Speaker 2: to you, I'm like, we literally can't go through every
- 56:21Speaker 2: single episode. I'm gonna reluctantly let that.
- 56:25Speaker 4: Slide just play cards at some point.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Hm hmmm. Do giraffes regularly have poker?
- 56:35Speaker 4: It's his primary epistol.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Gotta be careful. That's fantastic.
- 56:53Speaker 1: I don't want to be too broad. Let's see, let's
- 56:56Speaker 1: go with no more characters of high pitched voices.
- 57:06Speaker 5: Mhm.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Can you make that? No more characters with intentionally high
- 57:16Speaker 2: pitched voices?
- 57:19Speaker 1: What if it's their main voice though?
- 57:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing is, that's what's my that's what
- 57:23Speaker 2: my thk like.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Judge Doom from Roger Rabbit because technically his voice is higher,
- 57:28Speaker 3: but he uses the other one throughout his character. So
- 57:32Speaker 3: I would have I was like, I can get you
- 57:34Speaker 3: on that, but let me fix something different.
- 57:36Speaker 2: How about no, just just narrow it down, is all
- 57:41Speaker 2: I'm asking. So there's clarity.
- 57:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess that could work. They don't intentionally use
- 57:46Speaker 3: high voices. Yeah, okay, that's fair.
- 57:49Speaker 2: So characters with intentionally high pitched voices.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:56Speaker 2: If you ever listened to Tara Strong talk, yeah, like
- 57:59Speaker 2: she just has a natural, really high pitched voice. But
- 58:01Speaker 2: that's not her choice, you know, that's that's her voice.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Now when she plays a character and pitches it even higher,
- 58:07Speaker 2: that's that would qualify.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair.
- 58:14Speaker 2: All right, so you're all set Ralph Carman.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Well when you're just a Friday voy.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Ever, that's not his character, that character.
- 58:34Speaker 1: One of his, one of his nine he can do.
- 58:35Speaker 2: I'm referring to the actual person who I was referring
- 58:40Speaker 2: to a character of his. Then you could tag me
- 58:42Speaker 2: on it, but not this way.
- 58:45Speaker 3: Primary at home is his pistol, because he's talked about
- 58:47Speaker 3: it plenty of times going to his front door.
- 58:52Speaker 2: The word used was protagonists who use pistol. He is
- 58:57Speaker 2: not a protagonist. He's a real fucking person.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Antagonist story.
- 59:08Speaker 2: He won't come on our.
