- 1:08Speaker 5: out Eye in the Sky with Hester and Flint on YouTube.
- 1:11Speaker 5: That episode is out. It's an hour and 20 minutes
- 1:15Speaker 5: of film breakdown. Offense and defense. More offense than defense,
- 1:20Speaker 5: but a lot of good defensive plays as well in
- 1:23Speaker 5: there with Blake Baker and the plan they had to
- 1:25Speaker 5: stop Marcel Reese.
- 1:27Speaker 3: And you can check that out again. See, you did
- 1:30Speaker 3: a me there.
- 1:31Speaker 6: You did it, Matt.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Marcel Reese is a fullback.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 5: You were probably teammates with him.
- 1:35Speaker 7: I was.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Raiders.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Marcel Reed. I bet I did.
- 1:38Speaker 5: You know what's funny? I bet I did that on
- 1:40Speaker 5: the broadcast and didn't even know it.
- 1:41Speaker 6: You probably did.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I've done it multiple times on this show, and I
- 1:44Speaker 3: corrected myself last week.
- 1:45Speaker 5: You've done Marcel Reese? Yeah. Because of your teammate?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Golly.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Good player.
- 1:50Speaker 5: And fullbacks love.
- 1:51Speaker 3: High five.
- 1:52Speaker 7: I mean, definitely the better Marcel.
- 1:54Speaker 5: He's a good player. Marcel Reed.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I did word association, though, last week. I was like,
- 1:58Speaker 3: he likes to read.
- 2:00Speaker 8: Oh.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Was he? I guarantee.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Couldn't read that defense.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Got him. I bet I said it on the broadcast.
- 2:06Speaker 5: I don't really care. I'm going to pull back the love.
- 2:08Speaker 6: I'll say we were filming the film.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Filming the film.
- 2:11Speaker 8: And we were maybe an hour and 15 minutes in.
- 2:15Speaker 8: And Matt goes, all right, let's move the defense. And
- 2:18Speaker 8: I was like, oh, we're going to defense.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Awesome.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Matt's like, we're going to take a brief intermission.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Nah, no.
- 2:26Speaker 5: We did the first time we did.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It was like 55 minutes of offense probably. I don't know.
- 2:31Speaker 6: No, we were an hour in.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Right.
- 2:34Speaker 7: Okay, relax, everybody.
- 2:35Speaker 5: I'm so sorry. He did look at me and be like,
- 2:37Speaker 5: you're taking medicine?
- 2:38Speaker 9: Yeah, Jake was like getting real restless over here. I
- 2:40Speaker 9: was like, bro, come on, we're watching a film. I
- 2:42Speaker 9: can do this for hours.
- 2:43Speaker 5: I mean, I could too, but also.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You were a little bit antsy.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Other shows and other commitments.
- 2:49Speaker 3: That was new. Taking medicine. Got to stay on schedule.
- 2:58Speaker 5: I have the same medicine you have, bud.
- 3:01Speaker 8: Yep.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I do have to do my guy Norv's podcast today, though.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Okay. You've done that a couple times now, right?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Are you, like, weekly?
- 3:10Speaker 8: No.
- 3:11Speaker 2: No.
- 3:11Speaker 5: No, they've been doing it for about a year. It's
- 3:14Speaker 5: my second time on.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Norv Turner's got his own podcast?
- 3:17Speaker 5: Him and his daughter, Stephanie, yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 7: Okay.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yeah, and then Scott, his son, who's been a longtime
- 3:22Speaker 5: NFL coach, coordinator a couple times. Like, he's on it
- 3:26Speaker 5: a lot as well. Oh, yeah. God, something like family something.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I'll have to look it up.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Anyways.
- 3:35Speaker 9: I've got an interesting question for everybody. I don't know
- 3:41Speaker 9: where you were going with this segment, but something popped
- 3:43Speaker 9: in my head earlier.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I was just trying to promote our film review.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Absolutely. Well, it's a fantastic film review.
- 3:48Speaker 9: But if you want to look back, let's think about
- 3:51Speaker 9: the Saints right now. I've been thinking about the 2025
- 3:56Speaker 9: quarterback draft class, of course, with Tyler Shuck.
- 4:00Speaker 3: You look at the top three picks.
- 4:02Speaker 9: I mean, hell, you could look at the top six picks,
- 4:05Speaker 9: which would be Ward, Dart, Shuck, Milrow, Dele, Gabriel, Shador.
- 4:11Speaker 9: But of the top three, between Cam Ward, Jackson Dart,
- 4:14Speaker 9: Tyler Shuck, if you're the Tennessee Titans or the New
- 4:18Speaker 9: York Giants, and you were offered a straight-up trade for
- 4:24Speaker 9: your quarterbacks and Tyler Shuck, So Cam Ward for Tyler Shuck,
- 4:28Speaker 9: Jackson Dart for Tyler Shuck. Are you immediately making that
- 4:32Speaker 9: decision as the other teams or not? At this point
- 4:35Speaker 9: in their career, Jackson Dart has proven the Giants right
- 4:39Speaker 9: with their pick, but he just can't stay healthy.
- 4:42Speaker 5: That's the problem. And he is at his best when
- 4:43Speaker 5: he plays that style.
- 4:46Speaker 9: He is at his best when he plays that style.
- 4:47Speaker 9: But they love him as a quarterback. They want him
- 4:50Speaker 9: to be healthy, and he's been good. Cam Ward, on
- 4:53Speaker 9: the other hand, has not been good. But is it
- 4:57Speaker 9: his fault? I think the jury's still out if it's
- 5:01Speaker 9: a good pick or not. We all kind of think,
- 5:03Speaker 9: I think we all kind of hope that Cam Ward's
- 5:05Speaker 9: really good because we like his style of play. We
- 5:07Speaker 9: think he's got a dog mentality. He's got a really
- 5:10Speaker 9: good skill set. But it's an interesting question to me
- 5:13Speaker 9: because Tyler Shuck has now been the one that is
- 5:16Speaker 9: proven the most to have, you know, sustained health for one,
- 5:20Speaker 9: to be clutch, to have consistency week in, week out,
- 5:24Speaker 9: albeit like maybe not the best like win-loss record in
- 5:27Speaker 9: the world, but he's been the more consistent person and
- 5:31Speaker 9: reliable person.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So do you think if you were those other teams,
- 5:36Speaker 3: you're making that trade?
- 5:39Speaker 7: Yes.
- 5:42Speaker 5: I don't spend a lot of time thinking on it. Yes.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Cam's got a good skill set, but just look at
- 5:50Speaker 5: the completion percentage. Look at the poise.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 5:53Speaker 9: Look at the anticipation. Would Tyler Shuck be very good
- 5:55Speaker 9: in Tennessee? I mean, they have not surrounded Cam Ward
- 5:59Speaker 9: with much, right?
- 6:01Speaker 7: I liked a lot of the moves they made in
- 6:02Speaker 7: the offseason.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Had they not, though?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 6:06Speaker 7: I mean, you drafted Cardinal Tate. Whatever you think about him,
- 6:08Speaker 7: they at least tried to upgrade there. They added Wondell Robinson,
- 6:11Speaker 7: who's coming off 1,000 yards, I think, back-to-back seasons. They
- 6:16Speaker 7: tried to shore up the O-line as good as they could.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Your receivers are Calvin Ridley, Cardinal Tate, Wondell Robinson.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Gunnar Helm's a decent tight end. Tony Pollard was 1,000-yard
- 6:28Speaker 5: back last year. Tajay Spears is a good third-down back.
- 6:32Speaker 7: You drafted Nick Singleton from Penn State.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Just think, Cam, the thing that he still hasn't done
- 6:38Speaker 5: yet is throw with anticipation, and he holds on to
- 6:41Speaker 5: the football. Now, their offensive line's not great. But right now, yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 5: I'd go Tyler Shuck.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I would, too.
- 6:51Speaker 9: But it's interesting to think not too far removed from
- 6:55Speaker 9: that draft.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:57Speaker 9: Cam Ward has literally started every game since he's been there.
- 7:00Speaker 9: And I don't think that's good either. Yeah, I don't
- 7:02Speaker 9: think that's a positive thing.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Jackson Dart didn't.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Tyler Shug didn't.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Jackson Dart is not doing it this year. Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 9: I just feel like from the Giants and the Titans' perspective,
- 7:15Speaker 9: I feel like they're probably sitting there and justifying it
- 7:18Speaker 9: in their head. We still don't really know what we
- 7:20Speaker 9: have with Cam Ward. But the Giants are like, we
- 7:23Speaker 9: found our guy, but is our guy ever going to
- 7:26Speaker 9: be there consistently? Tyler Shuck's kind of like, at least
- 7:30Speaker 9: in this, we got a short sample size at least,
- 7:33Speaker 9: but he's proven both those things wrong. So you look
- 7:37Speaker 9: at that draft class, he has, I think he sits
- 7:40Speaker 9: on top of it right now as far as the
- 7:42Speaker 9: quarterback draft class. Now you got some young guys. You
- 7:46Speaker 9: got some young guys that haven't played yet that I
- 7:48Speaker 9: think have, Will Howard, I think is going to be
- 7:53Speaker 9: somebody to keep a, keep an eye out on the
- 7:55Speaker 9: next couple of years and that system that they're in
- 7:57Speaker 9: and learning from who he's learning from over there with
- 8:00Speaker 9: the Steeler. So it's, we'll see, but I bring this
- 8:04Speaker 9: up to say, I was thinking about that earlier about
- 8:08Speaker 9: that draft class. And I think the saints for, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 9: the couple of years between now and when drew bruise retired,
- 8:16Speaker 9: like the, Who's it going to be? What's it going
- 8:18Speaker 9: to be? The Derek Carr experiment? Like, you got a
- 8:21Speaker 9: guy and you got a guy. And I know everybody
- 8:22Speaker 9: kind of knows that. But not only did you get
- 8:25Speaker 9: a guy in that draft class, I think you got
- 8:26Speaker 9: the guy in that draft class in the second round.
- 8:32Speaker 3: And I don't really think– I mean, I wouldn't spend
- 8:36Speaker 3: a lot of time debating it.
- 8:37Speaker 9: And for different reasons. We're sitting here in South Louisiana,
- 8:41Speaker 9: of course. So I think we're biased. But I also
- 8:45Speaker 9: think we're– I would think most people from coast to
- 8:48Speaker 9: coast would have the similar opinion. And finally, people are
- 8:51Speaker 9: talking about him.
- 8:52Speaker 5: And they'll talk even more about him after this game
- 8:54Speaker 5: because it's going to be primetime. This is going to
- 8:56Speaker 5: be Monday night.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I would love for him to show out this weekend.
- 9:03Speaker 5: So this is, again, this is with Tyler Shuck not
- 9:05Speaker 5: starting to start his career. But of that draft class,
- 9:09Speaker 5: he's the leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completion percentage,
- 9:13Speaker 5: yards per attempt. Those are all pretty big. Those are
- 9:19Speaker 5: all ones that play.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Those are those those play.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Now, you know, give Jackson Dart his credit, too. He's
- 9:24Speaker 5: got the highest passer rating, the lowest number of interceptions,
- 9:28Speaker 5: rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns because of the
- 9:31Speaker 5: rushing touchdowns.
- 9:34Speaker 3: He has been really good.
- 9:35Speaker 5: But Jackson Dart's played also two more games than Tyler Shuck.
- 9:42Speaker 9: And Jackson has been really good when he's been available.
- 9:46Speaker 9: You just don't know as an organization how much is
- 9:48Speaker 9: he going to be available. And this last injury wasn't
- 9:51Speaker 9: him in his playing style. It was in the pocket,
- 9:54Speaker 9: making a throw, not doing what he normally does. He
- 9:57Speaker 9: just got hit in the wrong spot in the knee.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Tyler Shuck started 14 games, completed 68% of his passes, 3,301 yards,
- 10:02Speaker 5: 18 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 93.6 quarterback rating. Cam Moore, 20 games,
- 10:04Speaker 5: 60% completion percentage, 3,600 yards, 17 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 80
- 10:20Speaker 5: quarterback rating. Jackson Dart, 64%, 16 games started, only 2,500
- 10:27Speaker 5: passing yards, but does have 18 touchdowns to five interceptions.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Shador Sanders, eight games started, 56% completion percentage, 1,400 yards,
- 10:36Speaker 5: seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 68 quarterback rating. And then there's
- 10:42Speaker 5: some other guys like Dylan Gabriel, Quinn Ewers.
- 10:50Speaker 3: So we did it. Saints win.
- 10:53Speaker 5: They got the best quarterback.
- 10:54Speaker 9: I think that number's right on Cam Warts. Did you
- 10:57Speaker 9: ask George Paul Thomas? Because he can't get a number
- 11:00Speaker 9: or a logo right.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Or a face. Well, the face, I don't think he's
- 11:04Speaker 3: allowed to get that right.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 11:08Speaker 3: But some of them's not even a likeness.
- 11:13Speaker 5: I don't know. It's a question that I'll bring it
- 11:15Speaker 5: up in the afternoon show. You know, obviously that's all
- 11:19Speaker 5: 32 teams.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. And see what the people think.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 3: What do y'all think?
- 11:23Speaker 5: And my producers are giant fans.
- 11:25Speaker 3: So, hey. Let's throw it out there. If you had
- 11:28Speaker 3: to redo this, we're going to go back and we're
- 11:30Speaker 3: going to redraft. What are y'all doing?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I think Tyler Shago is number one overall. Very easily could.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And he's your quarterback. So, you should feel really good
- 11:43Speaker 3: about that.
- 11:43Speaker 5: We got him.
- 11:44Speaker 9: And not only is he on a rookie contract, he's
- 11:47Speaker 9: on a second round rookie contract.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Yeah. So, you get it. You don't get that fifth-year option.
- 11:52Speaker 3: You don't get the fifth year. It's only year two.
- 11:55Speaker 3: We'll think about that next year.
- 11:59Speaker 5: This is an opportunity for him on Monday night, and
- 12:01Speaker 5: there's a lot of things surrounding this game, obviously, with
- 12:03Speaker 5: the Saints and Falcons playing in the Dome and Hurricane
- 12:06Speaker 5: Katrina and when that happened, and we all remember that.
- 12:09Speaker 5: So there's a lot of things that a lot of
- 12:11Speaker 5: people are looking forward to in this game. So there's
- 12:14Speaker 5: going to be high emotions, but there's going to be
- 12:16Speaker 5: a lot of eyeballs on it as well.
- 12:17Speaker 3: There's going to be a lot of eyeballs. And Tyler Shuck.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Has a chance. There's still people out there that call
- 12:21Speaker 5: him Tyler Show.
- 12:23Speaker 3: They do.
- 12:24Speaker 7: And then they say they're fans of him. They're like, oh,
- 12:26Speaker 7: Tyler Show.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I'll be watching a car break, and it'd be like Tyler.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I mean, how many people Monday is going to be like,
- 12:31Speaker 3: it's showtime?
- 12:32Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 12:33Speaker 3: For sure.
- 12:33Speaker 5: I mean, there's national media that's still calling him Tyler Show.
- 12:36Speaker 5: I'm like, are you in a cave somewhere the last year?
- 12:40Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 12:43Speaker 3: It's interesting, right?
- 12:44Speaker 9: So I was looking at the viewership for Monday Night Football.
- 12:50Speaker 9: It averages about 16 million, which is less than the
- 12:54Speaker 9: Sunday afternoon game for Monday night.
- 13:00Speaker 5: That's surprising.
- 13:01Speaker 9: That's surprising to me. That was a real quick Google
- 13:04Speaker 9: search here. Usually Google is pretty reliable, right? More than
- 13:10Speaker 9: George Paul. More than George Paul for sure. Either way, though,
- 13:15Speaker 9: I mean, Monday night football is Monday night football. So
- 13:17Speaker 9: the entire country can tune into the same game.
- 13:20Speaker 5: There's going to be corners of this country that don't
- 13:22Speaker 5: know Tyler Shuck, or at least they don't know how
- 13:24Speaker 5: good he's played to this point. And, again, almost completing
- 13:27Speaker 5: 70% of his passes. So it's a big stage for him.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It's a big stage for the Saints. It feels like
- 13:33Speaker 5: they're much better than a 1-2 football team, but that's
- 13:36Speaker 5: where they are. You are what your record says you are,
- 13:38Speaker 5: I guess. And so this is an opportunity to go
- 13:41Speaker 5: get yourself to 2-2.
- 13:42Speaker 8: No.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Falcons will be 1-3. The Buccaneers are playing with Jalen
- 13:47Speaker 5: Daniels as their starting quarterback.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I don't think they're going to win any games with Baker.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Let me ask you this.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Would Saints fans be feeling way better right now if
- 13:55Speaker 9: they would have lost to the Ravens but beat the Raiders?
- 13:57Speaker 9: Because that's the 1-2 everybody thought. Did anybody predict 2-1?
- 14:02Speaker 5: Actually, I actually think that you can lean on that
- 14:05Speaker 5: Ravens win.
- 14:06Speaker 9: But I think everybody's disappointed that we're not 2-1 now.
- 14:09Speaker 9: Even though everybody and their mama predicted 1-2. going into
- 14:13Speaker 9: the season after the first three games, right?
- 14:15Speaker 7: Because you felt like you stole a game, and then
- 14:17Speaker 7: you felt like you now have one stolen from you.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 14:20Speaker 5: The Raiders wouldn't have won that game, though.
- 14:21Speaker 9: But not one person predicted the Saints would be 2-1
- 14:25Speaker 9: after three games. They're 1-2. They're right where they need
- 14:28Speaker 9: to be. They won a game they shouldn't have, and
- 14:30Speaker 9: they lost the game they shouldn't have. Well, potentially, I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 9: the team you lost to is 3-0 right now. We'll
- 14:36Speaker 9: really see where they're at against the Chiefs this weekend.
- 14:38Speaker 3: But, like, it's– I don't know.
- 14:41Speaker 9: I feel like people are a little bit more disappointed
- 14:43Speaker 9: because you let that last one slip.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I think they're more disappointed in.
- 14:46Speaker 9: That than the one that they– which I agree with you, though.
- 14:49Speaker 9: You should be more hopeful because you did. You won
- 14:53Speaker 9: a game you weren't supposed to against a really good
- 14:55Speaker 9: team on the road. But let's not act like this
- 14:59Speaker 9: record's any different than what anybody thought it would be.
- 15:02Speaker 5: I think the Raiders are good, and I think you
- 15:05Speaker 5: beat a good Ravens team, and you had a chance.
- 15:07Speaker 5: You threw the ball.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Into the end zone with a chance to beat the
- 15:10Speaker 3: Lions on the road.
- 15:11Speaker 9: You had a 60-yard field goal, which 60-yard field goals
- 15:14Speaker 9: are getting made routinely, so you put yourself in a
- 15:17Speaker 9: good opportunity to win it.
- 15:19Speaker 7: All right, we.

- 16:33Speaker 7: This is Off The Bench.
- 16:37Speaker 2: If I fall a long way Pick me.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Up and dust me off.
- 16:58Speaker 8: And if I get too tired to make it.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Give me my breath so I can walk If I
- 17:06Speaker 2: need some other love then Give me more than I
- 17:12Speaker 2: can stand When my smile gets old and faded.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Wait around, I'll smile again. Shouldn't be so complicated.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Just hold me in them.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Or just hold me again.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Can you help me?
- 17:32Speaker 3: I'm bent. I'm so scared.
- 17:34Speaker 6: That I'll never get put back together.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Keep breaking me in.
- 17:40Speaker 1: And this is how.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Shout out Rob Thomas. Shout out Mashbox 20.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Is he still doing stuff?
- 17:51Speaker 5: Does Rob have to do stuff? No. Probably not.
- 17:53Speaker 6: I mean, he doesn't have to do stuff just based
- 17:55Speaker 6: off of Smooth.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Like, I know Matchbox 20 was before Smooth, but... Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Smooth was theory Matchbox 20, you know, and then he
- 18:03Speaker 5: went out and did his own thing.
- 18:05Speaker 6: That alone probably gets him so many royalties.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Robert Kelly Thomas is his full name.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Rob Thomas.
- 18:13Speaker 3: What you doing over there, bud? Oh, dude, I'm... cruising
- 18:20Speaker 3: the internet right now.
- 18:21Speaker 6: You on Tiger Droppings?
- 18:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure. Can I say what you said
- 18:25Speaker 3: because I thought it was pretty funny?
- 18:27Speaker 5: Yeah. So y'all know us. The only time we ever
- 18:30Speaker 5: go to Tiger Droppings is to make fun of ourselves
- 18:32Speaker 5: for people that make fun of us.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's awesome.
- 18:35Speaker 5: We love it. It's what we do.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Y'all rewind a little too much.
- 18:38Speaker 5: So Alondra went and was saying on the film review
- 18:41Speaker 5: the negative comments were we rewind the play too much
- 18:45Speaker 5: and it's too long.
- 18:45Speaker 6: And sometimes you spend too long.
- 18:47Speaker 5: On one play.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Yeah, if you were in a film room, like a
- 18:49Speaker 3: real film room, you would, you'd hate it.
- 18:52Speaker 8: And that's basically like, is it, wasn't what y'all were
- 18:56Speaker 8: thinking with the film review just to like tell people
- 18:58Speaker 8: was that you wanted it to feel like you were
- 19:01Speaker 8: in a film session.
- 19:02Speaker 6: With actually, exactly. So that's exactly what it is.
- 19:05Speaker 8: If you want it, no offense to Brooks Austin, but
- 19:07Speaker 8: if you want like 60 second quick hit, like 30,
- 19:10Speaker 8: 15 minute video, video sure go watch brooks austin but
- 19:15Speaker 8: it's not going to be what it is on eye
- 19:17Speaker 8: in the sky.
- 19:17Speaker 5: It's not jimbo would rewind before the ball was snapped
- 19:21Speaker 5: for three and a half minutes.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Yeah oh they'd look at how quick the o-line gets
- 19:26Speaker 7: out of their stat but.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Do like oh my god motion it.
- 19:28Speaker 7: Was a three-hour process yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 5: So that's like to a longer point it's what we're
- 19:32Speaker 5: trying to do but i do i do find it
- 19:34Speaker 5: funny that you said for over half my life i've
- 19:37Speaker 5: been being judged on tiger trappings.
- 19:39Speaker 9: Oh yeah for sure one of the half who among
- 19:41Speaker 9: us right among us it's it's great I love it.
- 19:44Speaker 3: That's why. You know what? I love it, though.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I really do.
- 19:47Speaker 3: That's why. That's why.
- 19:50Speaker 7: Have haters, then you ain't doing it right.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Well, for sure. And it's not even about haters. It's
- 19:54Speaker 3: just like.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Oh, the passion.
- 19:55Speaker 9: People feeling passionate enough to say stuff and have a
- 19:58Speaker 9: community together.
- 19:59Speaker 3: I think it's all great.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I think it's fantastic. And I do.
- 20:02Speaker 9: I love. I've actually watched the film of us watching film.
- 20:06Speaker 9: I try to take. Feedback and criticism.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Well, that's why I went to go look.
- 20:11Speaker 8: Like, I usually, I don't care to go on tiger
- 20:13Speaker 8: droppings because people are real mean on there.
- 20:16Speaker 6: And I don't love seeing mean stuff about myself.
- 20:18Speaker 8: But, like, I went to go look because I'm okay
- 20:22Speaker 8: with taking constructive criticism and getting feedback to give to y'all.
- 20:30Speaker 3: You got to, for sure.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Right.
- 20:32Speaker 8: So, like, the feedback is fine, but I just feel
- 20:34Speaker 8: like it was invalid feedback.
- 20:37Speaker 9: Well, we'd like to present the best we can. And,
- 20:39Speaker 9: you know, there's a lot of different content out there
- 20:41Speaker 9: to be consumed. And there's different types.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 3: This is going to be a very in-depth.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 9: Of not the whole game, but specific plays and not
- 20:49Speaker 9: always sexy plays. Right.
- 20:51Speaker 3: It's like plays that can.
- 20:52Speaker 5: That three-yard check down is probably the one we spent
- 20:54Speaker 5: the most time on. Because it's important to the offense.
- 20:57Speaker 6: But shout out, we are going to make a change.
- 20:58Speaker 1: So.
- 20:59Speaker 6: Thank you, I guess.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 3: For sure. Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 5: Our plan is to, we'll do an offense and then
- 21:05Speaker 5: we'll do a defense. So we'll put out two videos
- 21:07Speaker 5: a week. Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Break it down a little bit. Maybe three if there's
- 21:12Speaker 3: an intro.
- 21:12Speaker 9: Like, so next week we'll have Kentucky and I'd love
- 21:15Speaker 9: to do a little breakdown of them.
- 21:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Could be a little bit of different.
- 21:17Speaker 8: I think that'd be more interesting than reviewing the LSU
- 21:22Speaker 8: McNeese game.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 5: We'll do some, but yeah, definitely to your point, Linger,
- 21:27Speaker 5: we need to put Kentucky in there. You've never seen
- 21:30Speaker 5: a screen.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Never in my life have I seen a screen drawn
- 21:34Speaker 8: up that way.
- 21:34Speaker 9: I mean, Blake Baker, he's probably losing sleep this week
- 21:39Speaker 9: over all those wide receiver screens he's going to see
- 21:41Speaker 9: next week.
- 21:43Speaker 5: It is kind of funny that those two know each
- 21:44Speaker 5: other very, very well. Joe and Blake, they've been together
- 21:47Speaker 5: in multiple spots, Louisiana Tech and LSU, and now they're
- 21:50Speaker 5: going to be facing each other.
- 21:52Speaker 9: It does make me wonder over there in Kentucky, like,
- 21:54Speaker 9: how much of it is Joe's offense? And we know
- 21:57Speaker 9: Joe has had success. Last year, obviously, dealing with a
- 22:01Speaker 9: quarterback that wasn't completely healthy, and there was a lot
- 22:03Speaker 9: of issues. And we've certainly done our fair share of hating,
- 22:06Speaker 9: and rightfully so, for the product that was put on
- 22:09Speaker 9: the field last year.
- 22:11Speaker 3: But he has had success in the past.
- 22:14Speaker 9: So it does make me wonder, like, how much of
- 22:18Speaker 9: it is his offense?
- 22:21Speaker 3: As compared to the head coach's offense.
- 22:23Speaker 9: Obviously, with the offense of mine, that's why he got
- 22:25Speaker 9: hired there, was the success that he had.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Had on offense. So, like, how much is what?
- 22:29Speaker 5: We'll find out. Yeah, and Will's offense at Oregon was thriving, obviously.
- 22:37Speaker 5: And Will's a great offense of mine. And, you know,
- 22:40Speaker 5: his fingerprints are going to be all over, obviously, whatever
- 22:42Speaker 5: the offense looks like. So, we'll certainly do a breakdown
- 22:45Speaker 5: of Kentucky before we get to that game next week.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Excited for that one.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Last two times LSU's gone there.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Hadn't gone great.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Losses.
- 22:55Speaker 1: 07.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Those things must have.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Yeah, we were one up. 07 and what, 21?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah. 21.
- 23:02Speaker 7: I mean, that was the final nail in Orgeron's coffin
- 23:06Speaker 7: was that game.
- 23:07Speaker 3: That place was rocking. I do not remember that game.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Yeah, well, that was Levis's final year in Kentucky. They
- 23:15Speaker 7: were good, too.
- 23:15Speaker 3: They had Chris Rodriguez.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Great catch on the sideline, but then he got hurt. Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 5: fracture or whatever.
- 23:21Speaker 7: He did yeah that was that was the game uh
- 23:22Speaker 7: chris rodriguez a running back didn't we'll let us say
- 23:25Speaker 7: that recently that they're not 32 quarterbacks better than him
- 23:28Speaker 7: yep you gotta have that confidence.
- 23:30Speaker 5: He's with the jets right now is he yep.
- 23:38Speaker 9: Gino smith feeling frisky gino smith playing well he's on
- 23:41Speaker 9: my feeling frisky Category yesterday.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Am I amazing? He was playing for the Raiders yesterday.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Somebody in our OTB Fantasy Football League just dropped C.J.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Stroud and picked up Geno Smith. I just saw it
- 23:51Speaker 5: come across our phone. Was that you?
- 23:53Speaker 3: That was me.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Yeah, Geno's been put on numbers.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Completion percentage is way up there, over 70. I think
- 24:03Speaker 5: he leads the NFL.
- 24:04Speaker 7: Also picked up Khalif Raymond. Dude's the leading receiver for
- 24:07Speaker 7: the Bears. We all had that at the beginning of
- 24:09Speaker 7: the year.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I just looked at it. Looks like I lost last
- 24:14Speaker 3: week by 19 points.
- 24:17Speaker 7: You smoked Jake there.
- 24:18Speaker 6: I think I'm like last place in our league.
- 24:21Speaker 3: That was a funny text.
- 24:23Speaker 6: I haven't paid attention to ours.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Smoked you. Yeah, I have. I'm usually pretty famous in
- 24:33Speaker 3: my leagues for not paying attention.
- 24:35Speaker 7: I don't believe that.
- 24:36Speaker 3: But this year I'm focused.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Locked in.
- 24:40Speaker 9: It does help that Huck is doing fantasy for the
- 24:42Speaker 9: first time, and he's got to do it from my phone.
- 24:44Speaker 9: So he's always like, hey, can I check my lineups?
- 24:46Speaker 3: Can I see it? So it reminds me.
- 24:48Speaker 9: I'm like, oh, yeah, I should probably go look at
- 24:50Speaker 9: this thing because obviously I'm going to win. But I'm
- 24:53Speaker 9: not famous for doing a lot of mid-season transactions like Taylor's.
- 24:57Speaker 9: How many moves have you made probably? I think these
- 24:59Speaker 9: are actually the first two. I just made them back-to-back.
- 25:02Speaker 9: Your waiver claims all the time.
- 25:03Speaker 6: I did a trade yesterday for the first time.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Did you trade Jamar?
- 25:08Speaker 2: No.
- 25:09Speaker 3: No, silly.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Silly. No, why would I do that?
- 25:13Speaker 6: No, I got, I needed a receiver bad.
- 25:16Speaker 8: So I got DK Metcalf and Cortland Sutton for Roma Dunzay.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Who had to go. I had to get rid of him.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah, he struggled.
- 25:25Speaker 8: I had Waller and Juwan Johnson, so I got rid
- 25:28Speaker 8: of Waller. And then I needed Kyle Munangai gone, too.
- 25:31Speaker 8: So I gave him that for DK and Sutton.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Okay. DK's going to have some games now.
- 25:39Speaker 6: He's going to have some game.
- 25:40Speaker 3: He's going to have some game.
- 25:41Speaker 6: I have him in, I think, in our league. And
- 25:44Speaker 6: he's put up.
- 25:46Speaker 3: He's going to do numbers.
- 25:46Speaker 6: He's been hit or miss.
- 25:48Speaker 3: The way that Aaron's playing. Yeah. Aaron's playing pretty darn well.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Pretty darn?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Pretty darn well. No reason to celebrate it. Say darn.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 26:02Speaker 3: I'm just looking at my team right.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Now.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I know.
- 26:05Speaker 6: I need to do some stuff on ours.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Let's do something.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I need to do something. I think I'm like one
- 26:13Speaker 6: and two.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I'm two and one. Not a big deal. Got to
- 26:18Speaker 3: win a record.
- 26:19Speaker 5: One and two, it's not great.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Come on, bro. Lamar Jackson looks like he's questionable.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Anyways.
- 26:31Speaker 6: It's your fantasy football segment.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I wonder if.
- 26:38Speaker 5: As many people do it now with the daily fantasy
- 26:40Speaker 5: as an option.
- 26:41Speaker 9: I think it's probably cut into the regular because that's
- 26:44Speaker 9: why I hadn't paid attention the last couple years is
- 26:46Speaker 9: because I've been into the daily.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah, me too.
- 26:48Speaker 9: The daily's fun. Because, I mean, for, you know, three bucks,
- 26:52Speaker 9: you can get into a pretty good little pot.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Have I ever won any big pot?
- 26:58Speaker 2: No.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Man, there was this one game last year, and.
- 27:03Speaker 9: I know a lot of people have had these, where
- 27:05Speaker 9: I was doing, like, the Like Sunday night or Monday night.
- 27:09Speaker 9: One of the big ones, right? It's like $ 10 or $ 15.
- 27:11Speaker 9: The winner gets a million bucks. There was a minute
- 27:15Speaker 9: left in the game, and I was sitting at six
- 27:17Speaker 9: figures on the win, the win total. And some crazy
- 27:22Speaker 9: play happened. I can't remember the exact, and I ended
- 27:25Speaker 9: up winning $ 150. Still a great return on investment, but
- 27:30Speaker 9: I was at six figures with a minute left.
- 27:32Speaker 5: In the game. Were you spending it in your mind?
- 27:36Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, I'd already spent it.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 3: How many cards can I buy?
- 27:40Speaker 5: Six figures in a minute. I know.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I know.
- 27:43Speaker 5: What happened?
- 27:43Speaker 3: Do you remember? I don't know.
- 27:44Speaker 9: There was a turnover and a long field goal.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 3: There was a turnover. I can't remember exactly, but it
- 27:51Speaker 3: swung pretty heavily.
- 27:52Speaker 9: That means that I was in six figures, but not
- 27:55Speaker 9: that many points.
- 27:56Speaker 3: But then, yeah, 150.
- 28:04Speaker 5: I'd have to take a walk after that.
- 28:06Speaker 3: But you see him, though. You see this. You see
- 28:08Speaker 3: those people, like, every week.
- 28:09Speaker 9: They go to look at the results, and they're one
- 28:11Speaker 9: guy has this off-the-wall lineup that hit, and he won
- 28:16Speaker 9: a million dollars.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Like, why would you ever put that together? Yeah. All right,
- 28:21Speaker 5: we'll take a break. We've got more OTB coming your

- 29:47Speaker 1: around the world to ease my troubled mind i left
- 29:51Speaker 1: my body lying somewhere in the.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Sands of time but i watched the world float.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I feel there's.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Nothing I can do.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 4: I watch.
- 30:14Speaker 7: The world.

- 30:57Speaker 7: All right.
- 30:57Speaker 5: We need to have a discussion about a certain Saints player.
- 31:01Speaker 5: And that is Chris Alave.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Good player.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Great player. Because there seems to be a notion that
- 31:14Speaker 5: he's not a number one receiver. I don't care who
- 31:19Speaker 5: you drafted number eight overall. I don't care what the
- 31:21Speaker 5: optics of drafting a receiver number eight overall were, or
- 31:26Speaker 5: currently even are.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Don't care.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Chris Alave is a number one receiver. Number one receivers
- 31:33Speaker 5: come in all shapes and sizes and skill sets. You
- 31:37Speaker 5: can make the argument the best receiver in the NFL
- 31:40Speaker 5: right now. Is Jackson Smith in Jigba? Is he 6'5, Matt? No.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Is he 215 pounds?
- 31:48Speaker 3: I actually don't know.
- 31:50Speaker 5: He's not. I'll answer that for you. When you look
- 31:54Speaker 5: at Chris Alave's career.
- 31:55Speaker 3: I appreciate the honesty. I have no idea.
- 31:56Speaker 5: He's not 215 pounds.
- 31:57Speaker 8: 205?
- 31:57Speaker 2: 2022.
- 31:57Speaker 5: 72 catches, 1,000 yards. Averages 14.5 yards per catch. All right,
- 32:10Speaker 5: let's go to 2023. 87 catches over 1,100 yards, 13
- 32:15Speaker 5: yards per catch. Now, he did get injured in 2024,
- 32:18Speaker 5: so he only played in eight games, but he was
- 32:21Speaker 5: on pace to have right at 1,000 yards. Let's go
- 32:25Speaker 5: to last year, 2025. Plays in 16 games, 100 catches
- 32:30Speaker 5: over 1,100 yards, nine touchdowns a year ago. You look
- 32:36Speaker 5: at this year, 27 catches, 375 yards, 14 yards per catch,
- 32:42Speaker 5: second in the NFL in receiving yards. Don't allow his
- 32:46Speaker 5: size or what a number one receiver in your mind
- 32:50Speaker 5: is supposed to look like. Chris Alave is a number
- 32:53Speaker 5: one receiver. He's one of the top ten receivers in
- 32:56Speaker 5: the National Football League. So he's for sure your number
- 33:00Speaker 5: one receiver. There's a reason that Chris Alave got the
- 33:03Speaker 5: contract that he did. Now, the injuries that Chris Alave's
- 33:07Speaker 5: had that people try to use as their argument, those
- 33:11Speaker 5: are things that are out of his control. It's not
- 33:14Speaker 5: like he's had hamstrings and ACL and MCL and foot
- 33:19Speaker 5: and ankle concussions, which is now why he wears the
- 33:22Speaker 5: Guardian cap. He had blood clot issues, which seems like
- 33:25Speaker 5: he's gotten on the other side of that. I don't
- 33:29Speaker 5: know why. I don't know who started it. I don't
- 33:32Speaker 5: know why it continues on down the road. Chris Alave
- 33:36Speaker 5: is your number one receiver. Chris Alave around the league,
- 33:39Speaker 5: when you talk to coaches, is respected as a top
- 33:42Speaker 5: 10 guy at his position. I had a conversation with
- 33:47Speaker 5: the coach that won the world championship last year. And
- 33:50Speaker 5: we were talking about different receivers and which ones kind
- 33:53Speaker 5: of give issues. And we were talking about his receiver,
- 33:55Speaker 5: Jackson Smith and Jigba. And he brought up Chris Alave.
- 34:00Speaker 5: And I didn't bring it up. He brought it up.
- 34:02Speaker 5: He said, you know guys like JSN and Chris Alave?
- 34:04Speaker 5: Those are the ones that are hard to cover. That's
- 34:07Speaker 5: the two names that he used. Mike McDonald's a pretty
- 34:10Speaker 5: good football coach. So I don't know why people are
- 34:13Speaker 5: reluctant to give themselves over to Chris Alave.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Again, don't use injuries.
- 34:17Speaker 5: Those aren't because of his size. It wasn't because he
- 34:20Speaker 5: can't take a hit. No, he had a concussion issue,
- 34:24Speaker 5: which he's now tried to fix by changing his equipment.
- 34:28Speaker 5: So far, so good.
- 34:30Speaker 9: Do you think it's red zone success? that people judge
- 34:32Speaker 9: a lot, the sexy plays down in the red zone, because.
- 34:36Speaker 5: He's got 20 touchdowns in his career.
- 34:38Speaker 9: But the stat that's lacking this year, the only stat
- 34:41Speaker 9: that's lacking this year is touchdowns, and that would look towards...
- 34:44Speaker 9: He's got one touchdown on the year. Jackson Smith, he's got...
- 34:46Speaker 9: JSN's got six, but they have equal amount of targets,
- 34:50Speaker 9: equal amount of receptions. He's got 30 more yards than Olave,
- 34:53Speaker 9: but they're one and two in the NFL this year,
- 34:56Speaker 9: but the big different differentiator is six touchdowns to one touchdown.
- 35:00Speaker 9: So I think I do think people get wrapped up
- 35:03Speaker 9: and look, I'm guilty of it. I was guilty of
- 35:05Speaker 9: it this off season about talking about, you know, he's
- 35:07Speaker 9: not your traditional number one guy because of the highlight plays,
- 35:13Speaker 9: like in the red zone, like making the catches in
- 35:14Speaker 9: the ends. Like you just don't hadn't seen that this season,
- 35:18Speaker 9: but like every other, every, everything else is top of
- 35:25Speaker 9: the top of the line.
- 35:25Speaker 5: It's also your scheme. It's also Tyler Shuck has six
- 35:29Speaker 5: touchdown passes to tight ends.
- 35:32Speaker 9: A hundred percent part of it as well. And I,
- 35:34Speaker 9: and I'm with you on that. And I'm not saying,
- 35:36Speaker 9: I just say, do you think that's what.
- 35:37Speaker 6: People nationally playing devil's advocate, playing.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Devil's advocate a little bit? Because what he's shown on
- 35:42Speaker 3: the field is.
- 35:43Speaker 5: He's averaging 125 yards per game.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 3: It's unbelievable.
- 35:49Speaker 8: I was on the train, but now after what I've
- 35:51Speaker 8: seen this season, but I've said like, I like Olave.
- 35:55Speaker 6: I need him to prove it. More consistently than he
- 35:58Speaker 6: had before.
- 35:59Speaker 5: I think two years ago, I was right there. I
- 36:01Speaker 5: was right there. There was something I wanted to see.
- 36:03Speaker 6: I just need a little more consistency from him.
- 36:05Speaker 5: I think over this last two years, he has. Yes.
- 36:07Speaker 6: That's what I was going to say, is that after
- 36:10Speaker 6: this season, he looks really good. And I have no
- 36:13Speaker 6: issues with.
- 36:15Speaker 8: Him being the wide receiver one, getting the wide receiver
- 36:17Speaker 8: one money. And even after Ross explained it after... They
- 36:21Speaker 8: gave it to him.
- 36:21Speaker 6: I was starting to lend myself over to it.
- 36:24Speaker 8: But now, after what I've seen through three games, I
- 36:28Speaker 8: can get on the Alave train.
- 36:31Speaker 6: I do love that he signed with the Guardian cap. Like,
- 36:34Speaker 6: he's like the face of the Guardian cap.
- 36:37Speaker 3: You should be. Look, I was late getting on the
- 36:39Speaker 3: Alave train. I think a.
- 36:40Speaker 6: Lot of people were.
- 36:41Speaker 9: We were all talking about halfway through the season last year,
- 36:43Speaker 9: he was having to make big plays, but he didn't.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Make the game-winning play.
- 36:48Speaker 6: The contested, like, yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 5: Last year.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Early in the season.
- 36:51Speaker 5: The thing that I did a bad job of was
- 36:53Speaker 5: looking at the play design as well for Chris Alave.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I felt like he should have been involved in it sooner.
- 37:00Speaker 5: There was things like they were drawing up for Rashid
- 37:02Speaker 5: Shahid that should have been drawn up for Chris Alave.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Because he's got that ability.
- 37:07Speaker 6: You're right. They use the tight ends a lot.
- 37:09Speaker 5: They do.
- 37:10Speaker 3: They're big bodies.
- 37:10Speaker 5: I get it. I get like John Johnson played receiver
- 37:12Speaker 5: in college. I get him being the red zone target.
- 37:15Speaker 5: But that doesn't mean Chris Alave is not a top receiver.
- 37:18Speaker 9: That's why people get too far down the rabbit hole
- 37:21Speaker 9: of trying to make this in their brain, what the
- 37:26Speaker 9: number one receiver should look like. And again, I'm guilty
- 37:28Speaker 9: of it as well, because like you would think that
- 37:31Speaker 9: he's going to be the go-to guy in all parts
- 37:33Speaker 9: of the field. Like when you get closer to the
- 37:36Speaker 9: goal line, the less part of the game plan he is,
- 37:40Speaker 9: or has been at least at this point of the year,
- 37:41Speaker 9: maybe that's, maybe that's just all about, you know, fortune
- 37:44Speaker 9: and the game plan, whatever. But obviously the game plan
- 37:46Speaker 9: is to throw it to bigger guys and, in the
- 37:49Speaker 9: red zone because the tight ends are getting a lot
- 37:51Speaker 9: of the touchdowns. So it's not– he's kind of out
- 37:53Speaker 9: of the game plan a little bit closer. And I
- 37:55Speaker 9: think what people try to, like, in their brain, build
- 37:58Speaker 9: this number one receiver is he's always the game plan
- 38:01Speaker 9: every place on the field.
- 38:03Speaker 7: You and I talked about this.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Huff, how is Olave not a receiver who shouldn't get
- 38:08Speaker 5: top money? Just because I know who you listen to,
- 38:11Speaker 5: I'm telling you he's a top receiver. The coach that
- 38:14Speaker 5: won the goddang championship last year brought him up.
- 38:18Speaker 3: As a guy, it's hard to stop. I'm trying to
- 38:19Speaker 3: really make a point here.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Me and Matt talked about this. I think it was
- 38:24Speaker 7: when you were out doing the training camp stuff. It
- 38:26Speaker 7: was when Drake London got his big contract. And I
- 38:28Speaker 7: asked you, what is the difference between Drake London and
- 38:33Speaker 7: Chris Alave? And we got to the point, Chris Alave
- 38:35Speaker 7: is just not tall enough. That's basically all we could
- 38:38Speaker 7: come up with. With Alave, it just seems like somebody
- 38:41Speaker 7: one time threw out that, oh, it's the injuries. Oh,
- 38:44Speaker 7: it's the contested catches. And everybody just kind of ran
- 38:46Speaker 7: with it. Like, yes.
- 38:47Speaker 8: But is it some people just running with it or
- 38:49Speaker 8: people just like have an opinion on a game that
- 38:51Speaker 8: they've watched?
- 38:52Speaker 3: Like.
- 38:52Speaker 7: I mean, maybe, but like, okay, with injuries. 2024, he
- 38:56Speaker 7: played in eight games.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Awful.
- 38:58Speaker 7: He was hurt all year. Sucked for him. Since then,
- 39:01Speaker 7: he's missed four games in three years. So, I mean,
- 39:03Speaker 7: outside of that one year, the injuries hadn't really been there.
- 39:06Speaker 7: Contested catches. Guys, this year, he's 11th in the NFL
- 39:09Speaker 7: in contested catch rate.
- 39:10Speaker 3: He catches.
- 39:13Speaker 7: It is 50% of the contested passes that are thrown
- 39:16Speaker 7: his way. That's 11th in the NFL. He's ahead of
- 39:19Speaker 7: Jackson Smith and Jigba. He's ahead of Jamar Chase. He's
- 39:21Speaker 7: ahead of Parker Washington. So, like, it just seems like, like,
- 39:26Speaker 7: we need to move past that and, like, accept the
- 39:27Speaker 7: fact that Olave... a lot of a fan, but it just,
- 39:32Speaker 7: what else are we going to throw at him now?
- 39:34Speaker 7: It just feels like people are overly critical of him
- 39:37Speaker 7: when all he does is go out there and make plays.
- 39:39Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:39Speaker 5: I don't, I don't understand it. I don't. And again,
- 39:43Speaker 5: it's not like we weren't reluctant to give ourselves over
- 39:45Speaker 5: to it. We had to see it. I think we've
- 39:47Speaker 5: seen what he is and not what he can be, no,
- 39:50Speaker 5: what he is and what he's going to be moving
- 39:53Speaker 5: forward and he deserves the contract that he got. He
- 39:56Speaker 5: is a top 10 receiver. Look at the analytics of
- 39:58Speaker 5: the last two years. He just, he is.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Numbers that Taylor just gave you.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Conversations with coaches around the league, right? They hate having
- 40:06Speaker 5: to design something to try to stop him because he's
- 40:08Speaker 5: also an incredibly high football IQ guy. He understands how
- 40:13Speaker 5: to run a route. What do I mean by that?
- 40:15Speaker 3: He knows the speed.
- 40:16Speaker 5: He knows the windows. He knows how to get open
- 40:19Speaker 5: and so look when Jordan Tyson comes back right number
- 40:23Speaker 5: eight overall I realize where you drafted him that's only
- 40:25Speaker 5: going to help Chris Alave that's only going to take
- 40:28Speaker 5: pressure off Chris Alave Vele's been good too I'm going
- 40:31Speaker 5: to give him his credit he's been good when Jordan
- 40:34Speaker 5: Tyson comes back just imagine what player you're going to
- 40:36Speaker 5: get with Chris Alave so he's a top 10 guy
- 40:40Speaker 5: he's your number one receiver and he's going to be
- 40:43Speaker 5: for a.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Long time right now playing like top five yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 5: We'll take a break. More O2B when we come back.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Off the bench.
- 40:56Speaker 5: All right, go to GCOPnet.com. GCOPnet.com. Gulf Coast Office Products.

- 42:02Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is Off the Bench.
- 42:05Speaker 7: I have the tendency of getting better.
- 42:12Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 42:37Speaker 7: Welcome back in OTB. Daniel, we do not rewind on
- 42:41Speaker 7: this show.
- 42:42Speaker 2: It's the other show.
- 43:09Speaker 6: It was damn rewinds.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Who would have thought Chris Alave would get the chat going?
- 43:20Speaker 6: Everybody needs to calm down.
- 43:22Speaker 3: We got 318 Slander in the chat.
- 43:25Speaker 5: We got LP Slander. We got White Bread Slander. We
- 43:29Speaker 5: got Tay-Tay Slander.
- 43:32Speaker 6: I'm catching a strain there.
- 43:33Speaker 7: I got it twice because I got LP.
- 43:35Speaker 6: It was more of a joke.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 43:37Speaker 6: Daniel said, we only make fun of minorities like Alondra.
- 43:40Speaker 9: Are we saying this chat is spooky today?
- 43:44Speaker 3: It is spooky season.
- 43:45Speaker 5: We got Matt, I mean Huff in here. All caps.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Not you.
- 43:56Speaker 8: Since we're here trying to say we never talk about
- 43:58Speaker 8: how awful the refs are, that is a constant conversation
- 44:02Speaker 8: that we have on this show.
- 44:03Speaker 7: Jake suggested the idea, which is a brilliant idea, of
- 44:06Speaker 7: having the refs go to a press conference and answer
- 44:07Speaker 7: questions after the game, which they absolutely should.
- 44:09Speaker 5: We have Mike Pereira on the NFL. I didn't know
- 44:13Speaker 5: how it was going to work out because I didn't
- 44:14Speaker 5: know how he was going to be, if he was
- 44:16Speaker 5: just going to be like standing up for the– no,
- 44:18Speaker 5: he does not. And I got to apologize because I
- 44:21Speaker 5: thought he was just going to stand up for the guys.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Nope.
- 44:25Speaker 5: He does not. No?
- 44:26Speaker 3: Respect. He doesn't hold back?
- 44:28Speaker 5: Nope. If he thinks it's against the referees, he's been
- 44:31Speaker 5: pretty open about it. Like, nah, it's a bad call.
- 44:33Speaker 6: Oh, there goes my.
- 44:34Speaker 3: There's really no good refs out there.
- 44:36Speaker 6: My stray. Alondra sucks, too.
- 44:40Speaker 2: True.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Well, at least it's two. That means we suck.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Y'all suck. We're all awful.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Foxhole.
- 44:47Speaker 9: Yeah, all refs think. But it's not their fault. It's
- 44:50Speaker 9: a really hard job. Some are better than others. And
- 44:53Speaker 9: it's okay to make mistakes.
- 44:55Speaker 5: There's no doubt. Players make them every game. You could
- 44:58Speaker 5: have the best game of your life and you're going
- 45:01Speaker 5: to have a mistake.
- 45:02Speaker 9: You're going to have a lot of mistakes in the
- 45:04Speaker 9: best game of your life. It is not realistic to
- 45:08Speaker 9: think refs are going to see every little thing when
- 45:10Speaker 9: people are running that fast and there's 22 people on
- 45:13Speaker 9: the field. It's not going to see everything. You're going
- 45:16Speaker 9: to miss some stuff. You're going to make some bad calls,
- 45:18Speaker 9: some bad judgment calls. How much better has the review.
- 45:23Speaker 9: Like the whole process of the review got in the NFL,
- 45:26Speaker 9: like the fast review, like this gotten so much better.
- 45:30Speaker 9: No longer are they under the tent for like five
- 45:32Speaker 9: minutes looking at stuff. They turn those things around pretty
- 45:35Speaker 9: quickly and it's improved a lot. And I think it
- 45:37Speaker 9: improves every year. And it should be, it should help
- 45:40Speaker 9: the rest because what they do is, is really tough.
- 45:42Speaker 9: But again, there's no good refs out there. There's just
- 45:44Speaker 9: some that are better than others.
- 45:47Speaker 5: I think the replay assistant too, like on ones that
- 45:49Speaker 5: are clear and obvious being like, Nope, Hey, Change it.
- 45:53Speaker 3: It's the best.
- 45:55Speaker 9: One of the better referee changes that has been put
- 45:59Speaker 9: into the game of football in a while.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree.
- 46:02Speaker 3: It's been great.
- 46:05Speaker 5: It could be better. It could be better. It could
- 46:08Speaker 5: be better. Everybody's trying. And the league apologized to the Rams.
- 46:11Speaker 5: They're like, no, that actually wasn't pass interference. You should
- 46:13Speaker 5: have won the game. Oh, thanks.
- 46:15Speaker 6: I sent y'all one.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Cool.
- 46:18Speaker 6: The other day that the SEC put out, what was it?
- 46:21Speaker 7: It was the onside kick.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:27Speaker 6: I wish more people would just risk it and do
- 46:28Speaker 6: onside kicks.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Drop kicks.
- 46:32Speaker 5: Hour three.
