- 0:36Speaker 1: to Tennessee in quite some time.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I feel like I have not been there, and quite sometimes.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm talking about it, or I've never been there.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I would like to go.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Is that where the.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Wait?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Where is Beale Street? Graceland?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Where's Rocky Mountain National Park? Isn't it? What's the park
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm thinking of. There's some big park down there.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Okay, anyways, I don't know you got.
- 1:06Speaker 2: A phone right in your hand that you're looking tired.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Anyway, This is the story of a beloved NBA star
- 1:12Speaker 1: and hometown hero who vanished a chilling midnight nine one
- 1:16Speaker 1: one call with eleven rapid gunshots and a murder weapon
- 1:20Speaker 1: tossed into a muddy Mississippi lake. Now, if you are
- 1:24Speaker 1: listening to this and it sounds, I don't know if
- 1:26Speaker 1: we're gonna be able to fix this with our editing
- 1:29Speaker 1: software that we run this through. But we are moving,
- 1:34Speaker 1: like actively moving.
- 1:36Speaker 2: This is our lads, Well what I don't know what
- 1:39Speaker 2: that was.
- 1:39Speaker 1: That was like stroke, Yeah, this is our last podcast
- 1:43Speaker 1: in this house. So they came today and packed all
- 1:47Speaker 1: of our stuff up. So we are we are in
- 1:50Speaker 1: our closet, but we have no there's nothing in the
- 1:52Speaker 1: closet anymore. There's no clothes hanging to like bounce the
- 1:55Speaker 1: sound off of yes, yeah whatever absorbed the sound. So yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 1: hopefully it's not too bad, but we will. It might
- 2:02Speaker 1: take us a couple of weeks to get our sound
- 2:05Speaker 1: fixed at the new place because it's a different closet
- 2:07Speaker 1: set up. I don't know if we're gonna be able
- 2:09Speaker 1: to fit in the closet because it's like separate his,
- 2:12Speaker 1: like how the house was built. There's a two sides
- 2:15Speaker 1: of the closet, so it's not just one big closet.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They've split it his and hers is whatever, it's two
- 2:25Speaker 1: to one. So yeah, just FYI, in case you're listening
- 2:29Speaker 1: to this and it doesn't sound good, we apologize in
- 2:32Speaker 1: advance anyway. So we're talking about a high dollar insurance policies.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Botch dispatch logs a secret romantic affair and a church

- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm ready. Okay, grab your Mason jar and let's go.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I will do it. You know, this story starts back
- 4:10Speaker 2: in the mid nineteen nineties in Memphis, Tennessee, in the
- 4:14Speaker 2: city of Memphis, Tennessee basketball era. It's not just a sport,
- 4:17Speaker 2: it's practically a religion, kind of like Friday night lights
- 4:21Speaker 2: out in West Texas as a religion.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Well, just in Texas in general. Yes, basically a religion here,
- 4:26Speaker 1: yes it is.
- 4:27Speaker 2: There ain't much else to do though, in West.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Texas well, in West Texas.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Then playing football on Friday nights. Now, nobody embodied that
- 4:34Speaker 2: spirit more than a young man by the name of
- 4:37Speaker 2: lorenzen Wright. He stood six foot eleven and he was
- 4:40Speaker 2: simply known as Wren to everyone in town. And he
- 4:43Speaker 2: was a natural phenomenon. They say. He was gentle, constantly smiling,
- 4:48Speaker 2: and remarkably gifted on the court. During his high school
- 4:51Speaker 2: days at Booker t Washington, he became one of the
- 4:54Speaker 2: top recruits in the entire country. When the national colleges
- 4:59Speaker 2: came a re looking for somebody, Lorenzen chose to stay
- 5:03Speaker 2: at home, committing to the University of Memphis the Tigers
- 5:07Speaker 2: under head coach Larry Finch.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Now, staying at home made him a local legend before
- 5:13Speaker 1: he even played a single minute in the NBA because
- 5:16Speaker 1: most of the time when you most of time these
- 5:18Speaker 1: guys they head off, you know, they want to get
- 5:21Speaker 1: you know, move away from home or something like that.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But he was already a legend in high school, and
- 5:26Speaker 1: so now he's moved that celebrity into the local university. Now,
- 5:31Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety six, Lorenzen entered what is widely considered
- 5:35Speaker 1: one of the greatest NBA draft classes in history. He
- 5:38Speaker 1: went number seven overall to the Los Angeles Clippers. Is
- 5:42Speaker 1: that Are they still the Los Angeles Clippers or did.
- 5:45Speaker 2: They move around now they're still the Clippers? Okay, last
- 5:47Speaker 2: I checked.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Anyway, I know it's I think it's always crazy when
- 5:50Speaker 1: a football team or somebody changes, you know, like it's
- 5:53Speaker 1: not the Oakland Raiders anymore.
- 5:55Speaker 2: It's the Las Vegas.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah, just like you just up and leave it town
- 5:58Speaker 1: that just.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Went to Los Angeles at one point they went to
- 6:03Speaker 2: Los Angeles for ten years.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I mean, could you imagine the Dallas Cowboys being like
- 6:06Speaker 1: the the I don't know, the New Orleans Cowboys. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't know. I couldn't think of it. Now.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Well, they were the Kansas City Oh they were?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Is that why there's a lot of people that are
- 6:21Speaker 1: were Kansas City Chiefs fans and they hate the Cowboys.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Kansas City Chiefs were Maybe they were the Dallas Texans
- 6:29Speaker 2: and then they went to Ksey. I can't remember anymore.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah. So he was picked number of seven overall for
- 6:35Speaker 1: the Los Angeles Clippers, and he shared the stage with
- 6:37Speaker 1: some icons like Alan Iverson, Kobe Bryant, and Steve nash
- 6:43Speaker 1: Rip Kobe Bryant.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I know Allen Iverson. No, No, nobody else in the
- 6:47Speaker 2: top seven. What do you mean, Oh, I'm looking at this.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I'm looking at the draft right now. And so it
- 6:53Speaker 2: shows Lorenz and right and went seventh, I know. And
- 6:56Speaker 2: then there's some names that I don't remember.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Okay, Well, I'm not a big basketball person. I'm not
- 7:02Speaker 1: a big sports person at all.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Well, I kind of lost interest when Jordan retired.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, went to go play baseball.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Well I'm old. Well.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He went on to play thirteen seasons in the league,
- 7:13Speaker 1: including a celebrated homecoming when he spent five seasons playing
- 7:17Speaker 1: center for the Memphis Grizzlies. But what made Memphis love
- 7:21Speaker 1: Lorenzen was that fame and tens of millions of dollars
- 7:25Speaker 1: in NBA contracts never changed his heart. He bought uniforms
- 7:29Speaker 1: for local youth centers, paid rent and utility bills for
- 7:33Speaker 1: neighborhood families, and stood outside in the Tennessee heat until
- 7:36Speaker 1: every last kid had an autograph and a high five.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So he's one of these nice ones, not like not
- 7:42Speaker 1: some of these jerks these days.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yes, like, get out of my face, kid, What are
- 7:46Speaker 2: you going to sell my autograph? I ain't given you one.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Well, in their defense, probably the kids a decoy for
- 7:52Speaker 1: their parent. Who's going to sell the autograph of these days?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Quite possibly. Yeah. While Lorenzen's basketball career was taking flight
- 7:59Speaker 2: in the late nine nineties, his personal life was anchoring
- 8:02Speaker 2: itself in Memphis as well. Back in his junior year
- 8:05Speaker 2: of Summer League basketball, Lorenzen met a young woman by
- 8:08Speaker 2: the name of Shara Robinson. Sherah like Kara, kind of
- 8:12Speaker 2: like Kara.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Kara and Sharah a couple of what what.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Sherah was a well connected person in the local basketball scene.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Her father was Julius Robinson, a respected AAU coach and
- 8:28Speaker 2: mentor to young athletes across the city. Lorenzo and Shara
- 8:32Speaker 2: fell in love, welcomed their first child, Lorenzen Junior, and
- 8:36Speaker 2: officially tied the knot in nineteen ninety eight. Over the years,
- 8:40Speaker 2: their family grew quickly. They welcomed daughter Lauren, twin boys
- 8:44Speaker 2: Lamar and Shamar, daughter Sophia, son lawson, and the baby
- 8:48Speaker 2: girl was Sea Era.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Dang, we got a lot to catch up, I know.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Right, Well, they cheated with well, they.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Cheated with them twins.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah. They moved into an expensive, expanse of luxury
- 9:01Speaker 2: home in Collierville, a wealthy suburb east of Memphis, complete
- 9:05Speaker 2: with gated grounds and every luxury and NBA career could provide.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Kara Now for all the wealth and community adoration, grief
- 9:14Speaker 1: struck the family hard. In March of two thousand and three,
- 9:17Speaker 1: their eleventh month old infant daughter, Sierra, tragically passed away
- 9:21Speaker 1: from sudden infant death syndrome. The loss tour through both
- 9:26Speaker 1: parents and family members noted that the emotional strain began
- 9:29Speaker 1: cracking the foundation of their relationship. Because I don't remember
- 9:33Speaker 1: what the statistic is, but Pete, like couples who lose
- 9:35Speaker 1: a child, it's it's pretty low, very high.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Well, it seems like eleven months old getting SIDS also
- 9:43Speaker 2: is outside the which you would.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Say the normal. Well, because I could get into this
- 9:49Speaker 1: how they classify SIDS, but I won't. SIDS is true,
- 9:53Speaker 1: SIDS is very very rare. They just throw all these
- 9:56Speaker 1: other ones in there, like it could be from like
- 9:58Speaker 1: sleeping with a blank, like unsafe sleep. But I don't know.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Back in two thousand and three, I don't know if
- 10:03Speaker 1: they had the back to Sleep campaign, which was the
- 10:06Speaker 1: big push to put the babies to sleep on their
- 10:08Speaker 1: back with nothing else in the crib, you know, sleep sacks,
- 10:12Speaker 1: things like that. So there was a lot that people
- 10:15Speaker 1: didn't know that you know, could so eleven months old.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Is like pretty yeah, I was in the crib with
- 10:22Speaker 2: the bumpers and the stuff, dankets.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I was sure I was in the crib with like
- 10:29Speaker 1: the needles and the whatever, you know, just they'll figure
- 10:35Speaker 1: it out.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But yeah, if they don't make it Barwin, Yes.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Truth, like they say, true SIDS is two to four
- 10:42Speaker 1: months old. Is the window for like true true SIDS,
- 10:45Speaker 1: not all these other things that happened. But I digress.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I'm not going to get into it because I don't
- 10:51Speaker 1: want to.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Deal with the hate mail.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yes, all right, the lost tour, Oh, we already talked
- 10:56Speaker 1: about that. Now. As Lorenzen transition into the final years
- 11:01Speaker 1: of his NBA career, the couple spending remained lavish, but
- 11:05Speaker 1: the professional paychecks were beginning to slow down. Arguments over money, lifestyle,
- 11:10Speaker 1: and infidelity became frequent and volatile. By two thousand and nine,
- 11:14Speaker 1: after more than a decade of marriage, the couple filed
- 11:17Speaker 1: for divorce. That's going to be a hefty settlement divorce, yes,
- 11:21Speaker 1: And that's the thing is it's always crazy to me
- 11:24Speaker 1: that you see these athletes and stuff, they make so
- 11:27Speaker 1: much money, which I think I think now most teams
- 11:31Speaker 1: set you up with the financial person right when you join,
- 11:33Speaker 1: like right when you join the team and with all
- 11:36Speaker 1: this money, and you know, in hopes that you'll listen
- 11:38Speaker 1: to them. Because they've seen so many players just spend
- 11:41Speaker 1: all their money in.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Hamaiton.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Is that what happened? Man?
- 11:46Speaker 2: He played football, then he got into the music, and
- 11:48Speaker 2: then he walked around with that entourage all the time.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Who was that guy that got in trouble for Wesley
- 11:54Speaker 1: Snipes and he got in trouble with taxes? Yes, and
- 11:58Speaker 1: Barbara Walters had to go to had to go. I
- 12:01Speaker 1: don't remember this, Okay, it was a very long time ago. Anyways,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I think it was him.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Well, he did have IRS troubles along with Willie Nelson
- 12:10Speaker 2: at one time. I think Red Fox had IRS troubles.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Well, it's a lot of money you got to pay
- 12:15Speaker 1: in Texas.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It is, it is. The divorce was bitter and complicated.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Lorenzen relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, trying to figure out the
- 12:24Speaker 2: next chapter in his post retirement life, while Shara remained
- 12:28Speaker 2: in Collierville with the children. Under their court agreements, Lorenzen
- 12:32Speaker 2: was ordered to pay a substantial monthly child support and alimony,
- 12:37Speaker 2: along with maintaining a one million dollar life insurance policy
- 12:42Speaker 2: specifically designated to support and educate this six surviving children.
- 12:48Speaker 2: By the spring of twenty ten, the financial walls were
- 12:51Speaker 2: closing in on Sharh. She was facing foreclosure on multiple properties,
- 12:56Speaker 2: mounting utility bills, and the reality of Lorenzen's financial reserves
- 13:00Speaker 2: were no longer unlimited. It was during these desperate months
- 13:04Speaker 2: of early twenty ten that Shara began looking for a
- 13:07Speaker 2: permanent way out of her financial situation.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But there is. But if you can't manage with tens
- 13:13Speaker 1: of millions of dollars, you getting more money, you could
- 13:16Speaker 1: win the lottery and they'll be She'll be broken a
- 13:18Speaker 1: year or two like you, And there's no quick fixes.
- 13:22Speaker 1: That's where the whole Dave Ramsey thing comes in. It's like,
- 13:24Speaker 1: there's no you got to retrain how you function in life,
- 13:29Speaker 1: how you budget, how you how you viewed debt and
- 13:33Speaker 1: things like that.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So, yeah, it's ad sponsored by Dave Ramsey.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yes, the episode is sponsored. Speaking of Dave Ramsey, have you.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Used the code BTM on Dave Ramsey site and then
- 13:44Speaker 2: receive absolutely nothing?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yes, it'll say code not recognized, not a valid code.
- 13:52Speaker 1: So Shara was an active member of Mount all of
- 13:56Speaker 1: Number one Missionary Baptist Church in Collierville. That's a number
- 14:00Speaker 1: in its number one. Dude, I don't know if they
- 14:03Speaker 1: named him, they want to go to the number two. Yes.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It was through this community network that she reconnected with
- 14:09Speaker 1: a man named Billy Ray Turner. Billy Ray was a
- 14:13Speaker 1: local landscaper who ran a lawn care business and served
- 14:16Speaker 1: as an usher and deacon at the church. Beneath his
- 14:19Speaker 1: quiet demeanor and church roll, Billy Ray began carrying on
- 14:23Speaker 1: a secret romantic relationship with Shara No Yes, stop it.
- 14:28Speaker 1: In May of twenty ten, sher convened a secretive meeting
- 14:32Speaker 1: at her Collierville home. Man Collierville is a hard word.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I feel like, well, I can get a little tricky
- 14:38Speaker 2: the more you have to pronounce yes.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Sitting in the room, I know, I was like, oh,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I said it right the one time I've.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Got to see I got to say it another twenty times.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Sitting in the room with her were Billy Ray Turner
- 14:49Speaker 1: and Schera's cousin, a man named Jimmy Martin. Jimmy Martin
- 14:53Speaker 1: was a formy nate for me, a Navy sailor who
- 14:58Speaker 1: was already facing serious legal trues trouble of his own,
- 15:01Speaker 1: as do those former Navy sailors, sometimes in an unrelated
- 15:07Speaker 1: homicide case and Shara had been helping him with legal expenses,
- 15:11Speaker 1: so now she's got a potential murderer that she's assistant
- 15:16Speaker 1: quickly with finances.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Well, I mean, Billy Ray Turner is a pretty good
- 15:20Speaker 2: Southern name, Oh, Billy Ray.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Jimmy Martin is a pretty good Southern name. You think, yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 1: it's Jimmy. I mean, come on, okay, fine, then how
- 15:28Speaker 1: about Jimmy Joe Martin.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Is Jimmy Joe.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Jimmy Joe Martin. That's a better Southern name. We just
- 15:34Speaker 1: need to find out what his middle name.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Joe with j O not Joe, of course, no, Joe.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Is how you spell the female version? Okay, If Jimmy
- 15:42Speaker 1: Joe Martin was a female, perfect Southern name, you think, yes,
- 15:46Speaker 1: they wait, we have We just did a case and
- 15:49Speaker 1: she went by Jimmy. Mary Carpenter was went by Jimmy.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know, Okay, just go on anyway, at
- 15:58Speaker 2: that kitchen table, share a lead out a cold blooded proposition.
- 16:02Speaker 2: She wanted lorenzen and dead so she could collect the
- 16:05Speaker 2: one million dollar life insurance payout. She promised both men
- 16:09Speaker 2: cash compensation once the insurance money cleared the bank. The
- 16:14Speaker 2: first plan was set for Atlanta. Sheriff provided a vehicle
- 16:18Speaker 2: containing handguns and an extra and instructions to Lorenzen's Atlanta condominium.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Arm With the handguns, Billy Ray Turner and Jimmy Martin
- 16:28Speaker 2: drove to Georgia in the dead of the night. They
- 16:31Speaker 2: located Lorenzen's condo, found an open window, and crept inside,
- 16:36Speaker 2: ready to ambush him, but when they reached the living room,
- 16:39Speaker 2: they found an unknown man sleeping on the couch who
- 16:42Speaker 2: was not Lorenzen. Spooked and realizing their target was not there,
- 16:46Speaker 2: the two men fled Atlanta and drove back to Memphis
- 16:49Speaker 2: empty handed.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Well that was quite the stories, do you think so? Yes?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Who are these two idiots that are just like gonna drive?
- 17:02Speaker 2: Well what, Jimmy Martin has legal issues. He needs money
- 17:06Speaker 2: front attorney.
- 17:07Speaker 1: He's already been, he's already up. Yes, he's already got
- 17:09Speaker 1: a case against him for homicide. Let's just double down
- 17:13Speaker 1: on that.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I didn't do it. I need to go kill this
- 17:15Speaker 2: guy so I can pay my legal fees to prove
- 17:17Speaker 2: I didn't kill the other guy.
- 17:19Speaker 1: So, having failed in Atlanta, the plan shifted back to Memphis.
- 17:23Speaker 1: In mid July twenty ten, Lorenzen drove his vehicle up
- 17:26Speaker 1: from Atlanta to Memphis to spend time with his six
- 17:29Speaker 1: children and watch his son participate in a summer basketball camp.
- 17:34Speaker 1: On Sunday night, July eighteenth, Lorenzen was visiting his children
- 17:38Speaker 1: at Scher's home in Collierville. Why do I have to
- 17:40Speaker 1: keep reading that name?
- 17:41Speaker 2: Stick? I don't know.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Late that evening, after the kids had gone to bed,
- 17:46Speaker 1: Shara lurd Lorenzen out into the night under the guys
- 17:50Speaker 1: meeting up in a private, remote location. Mmm she maybe
- 17:54Speaker 1: she was like, let's just rekindle, make yeah, spend it
- 17:58Speaker 1: a long time lonely. They drove out toward the southeast
- 18:03Speaker 1: edges of Shelby County, heading into a secluded, unlit wooded
- 18:07Speaker 1: clearing near Hack's Cross in Winchester Roads. If you're from
- 18:10Speaker 1: the area adjacent.
- 18:13Speaker 2: To Callus cut Off, oh I know.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Someone maybe someone listening right now, was like, oh my god,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I know where that's at.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Well, I had no clue where you're going till you
- 18:23Speaker 2: said it was adjacent to Callous cut Off. And I
- 18:26Speaker 2: was like, I know. Waiting in the dark of those
- 18:31Speaker 2: woods was Billy ray Turner. What followed was a coordinated,
- 18:35Speaker 2: ruthless ambush. As Lorenzen stepped out, he was confronted by
- 18:39Speaker 2: the armed assailants. Realizing he was being cornered and running
- 18:44Speaker 2: for his life through the tall, swampy brush, Lorenzen pulled
- 18:47Speaker 2: out a cell phone and he desperately hit nine one one.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It was exactly twelve eighteen am on the morning of
- 18:54Speaker 2: July nineteenth, twenty ten. The emergency signal connected to the
- 18:58Speaker 2: nine to one to one dispatch center in Germantown.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Now, the audio recorded by Germantown Dispatch remains one of
- 19:06Speaker 1: the most haunting pieces of evidence in modern Southern law enforcement.
- 19:10Speaker 1: When the dispatcher answered Germantown nine one one, what is
- 19:13Speaker 1: your emergence or where is your emergency? There was no
- 19:16Speaker 1: clear voice speaking into the microphone. Instead, the line captured
- 19:20Speaker 1: heavy footsteps, labored breathing, and rustling weeds. But suddenly the
- 19:25Speaker 1: silence was shattered by a rapid barrage of gunfire. It
- 19:29Speaker 1: was like popping noises. Eleven separate gunshots were tore through
- 19:35Speaker 1: the dark. In the background, someone yelled out in distress,
- 19:38Speaker 1: and then the line went dead.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yes, the dispatcher repeatedly said, hello, Hello, and if you've
- 19:45Speaker 2: listened to it, you can hear in slight.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Well, she was snip it, like like put out, like hello,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you got an emergency or what? There's literally someone like
- 19:56Speaker 1: you could tell it was gunshots in the background. She's like, hello, Hello,
- 20:01Speaker 1: I can't fucking help you if you don't tell me
- 20:03Speaker 1: where you're at.
- 20:04Speaker 2: And my tin fish sandwich that I just unwrapped I
- 20:07Speaker 2: was about to eat it or whatever, I was gonna
- 20:09Speaker 2: have it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: She just kept She's like, all I can and then
- 20:11Speaker 1: she's talking. I guess she turns someone. She's like, all
- 20:13Speaker 1: I can hear is gunshots.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Just another day.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Anyways, it's pretty I've always had this feel like I
- 20:23Speaker 1: don't want to be that the one for the Idaho murders,
- 20:26Speaker 1: the nine one one dispatcher, because her call gets played
- 20:29Speaker 1: over and over and over and over on every documentary
- 20:33Speaker 1: and everything, and she just looks. She just sounds so
- 20:35Speaker 1: put out by.
- 20:36Speaker 2: These these stupid kids.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure she's used to dealing with nobody.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Nobody said there was blood everywhere, though, No, nobody like
- 20:43Speaker 2: they won't wake up.
- 20:45Speaker 1: It was like an important detail. Drink that there was
- 20:48Speaker 1: blood everywhere.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yes, She's like, they won't wake up.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought they were just like water down. I'm
- 20:53Speaker 1: sure I was tired of dealing with college kids or
- 20:55Speaker 1: whatever drinking too much.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Possibly alcohol poison. Anyway, the dispatcher, like we said, repeatedly
- 21:04Speaker 2: said hello, hello, but received no response. Because the cell
- 21:08Speaker 2: tower ping was on the borderline between Germantown and Memphis jurisdiction,
- 21:13Speaker 2: the dispatch operator failed to immediately locate the exact street coordinates.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Instead of alerting patrol units to immediately sweep the cell
- 21:21Speaker 2: tower radius, and instead of transferring the recorded gunfire to
- 21:26Speaker 2: the Memphis the Police Department, the dispatcher simply logged the
- 21:31Speaker 2: call as an unbeverified hang up and filed it away.
- 21:35Speaker 1: No. She yeah, she definitely needed to be I hope
- 21:38Speaker 1: they let her go because she's how do you hear
- 21:40Speaker 1: gunshots and just be like, oh, they were just butt dial. Yes, there,
- 21:47Speaker 1: she sounded like a real bitch.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Freight days, the critical recording sat in the queue while
- 21:53Speaker 2: a murder victim lay undiscovered in the Tennessee summer heat.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Back in Atlanta and Memphis, Vinson's family knew something was
- 22:01Speaker 1: terribly wrong. Lorenzo spoke to his mother, Deborah Marion, nearly
- 22:06Speaker 1: every single day, and he never missed a basketball event
- 22:09Speaker 1: for his sons. When days passed with his phone going
- 22:12Speaker 1: straight to voicemail, Deborah walked into the police station on
- 22:15Speaker 1: July twenty second and officially filed a missing person's report.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Detectives immediately contacted Shara Wright. Schery spun an elaborate narrative.
- 22:25Speaker 1: She told officers that Lorenzen had arrived late on July eighteenth,
- 22:29Speaker 1: carrying a box of cash and drugs, made secretive phone calls,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and then walked out into the night around two am
- 22:36Speaker 1: with two unidentified armed men who looked like hitmen. So
- 22:40Speaker 1: he just went with his murders.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yes, he just completely stepped out of character from his
- 22:47Speaker 2: entire life.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yes. She claims that Lorenzen told her he was involved
- 22:52Speaker 1: in dangerous business dealings and warned her not to ask
- 22:55Speaker 1: any questions. I'm also a secret member of an elite
- 22:59Speaker 1: crime fighting team.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yes, the super secret Squirrel.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:04Speaker 2: On July twenty eighth, ten days after Lorenzen vanished, investigators
- 23:08Speaker 2: finally connected the missing persons report to the neglected July
- 23:12Speaker 2: nineteenth nine to one to one dispatch log, realizing gunshots
- 23:16Speaker 2: had been recorded on Lorenzen's exact phone line. Memphis Police
- 23:21Speaker 2: and Shelby County deputies rushed to search, rush their search
- 23:25Speaker 2: units and cadaver dogs to the wooded area near Hack's
- 23:30Speaker 2: cross Road. Within hours, search teams located Lorenzen's body line
- 23:35Speaker 2: face down in an overgrown brush. He had suffered at
- 23:39Speaker 2: least five gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and right forearm,
- 23:44Speaker 2: fired from two different caliber weapons. A massive thunderstorm swept
- 23:48Speaker 2: through Memphis shortly after the discovery, but the city had
- 23:51Speaker 2: already plunged into mourning for its beloved hero Kara.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yes, and it is hot during like this is the
- 23:59Speaker 1: worst time of year in the South July, late July, August.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I mean we're just over it at this point.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yes, I was stationed there and we had to run
- 24:07Speaker 2: Pete in the morning and it was sweaty.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So yeah, any type of there's gonna be rapid decay,
- 24:15Speaker 1: there's gonna be bugs, there's gonna it's it's not gonna
- 24:17Speaker 1: be good.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yes, lots of heat.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Immediately following the shooting on July nineteenth, panic had set
- 24:23Speaker 1: in among the conspirators. During the chaotic ambush in the
- 24:27Speaker 1: dark woods, one of the handguns had slipped into the
- 24:30Speaker 1: tall grass. Jimmy Martin was summoned back to Memphis, where
- 24:35Speaker 1: he and Shera and Billy ray Turner returned to the
- 24:37Speaker 1: woods armed with a metal detector to locate the dropped
- 24:41Speaker 1: weapon and remove any stray bullet casings from the scene.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Once the evidence was gathered, Billy ray Turner and Jimmy
- 24:48Speaker 1: Martin took the primary murder weapon, drove across the state
- 24:51Speaker 1: lines into Walnut, Mississippi, and tossed the handgun into the
- 24:55Speaker 1: deep muddy waters of a secluded lake off of Highway
- 24:59Speaker 1: seventy two.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Fourteen months after Lorenzen's funeral in September of twenty eleven,
- 25:05Speaker 2: Shara Wright collected the one million dollar payout from Lorenzo's
- 25:08Speaker 2: life insurance policy. By law, this money was held in
- 25:12Speaker 2: a trust specifically established to provide for the upbringing, housing,
- 25:16Speaker 2: and college education of her six children.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Which that's a pretty broad you can say. Upbringing and
- 25:23Speaker 1: housing could.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Be electric bell yep, hlaps.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Louis Vuitton pers like whenever to carry you know, the
- 25:33Speaker 1: kids just snacks in. What's frustrating is because those guys
- 25:38Speaker 1: were idiots and dropped the handgun and had all the
- 25:41Speaker 1: public casings and every thing out there. If this stupid
- 25:44Speaker 1: nine to one one person had just done their job,
- 25:47Speaker 1: they would have collected the gun and everything at the time,
- 25:49Speaker 1: or might even game out there and like caught them.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yes, possibly thought at the time. What happened next shocked
- 25:56Speaker 2: the entire community, and just ten months, Sharah blew through
- 26:00Speaker 2: nine hundred and seventy three dollars. I kid, who was
- 26:05Speaker 2: nine hundred and seventy three thousand.
- 26:07Speaker 1: You don't have to pay taxes on a life insurance. Well, no,
- 26:10Speaker 1: you do not very nice. No, don't look at me like, oh,
- 26:14Speaker 1: STU is life insured at this.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Point, yes, quit looking at me.
- 26:18Speaker 1: You're looking like a million bucks.
- 26:21Speaker 2: She purchased a three hundred and twenty five thousand dollars home,
- 26:25Speaker 2: spent one hundred thousand dollars on luxury renovations and a
- 26:29Speaker 2: custom swimming pool. She bought expensive lawnmowers, at least luxury vehicles,
- 26:34Speaker 2: went on designer shopping spreeze, and took first class family vacations.
- 26:40Speaker 2: By twenty fourteen, Lorenzo's father, her Bright, had to file
- 26:44Speaker 2: legal action in Shelby County Circuit Court demanding a full
- 26:47Speaker 2: financial accounting after discovering that the children's trust had been
- 26:52Speaker 2: almost completely drained.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yes, this is just terrible. She does need Dave Ramsey,
- 26:58Speaker 1: she should have you definitely don't leave. That's a bad thing.
- 27:02Speaker 1: She did. Maybe paid cash for the house, but we
- 27:04Speaker 1: should have stopped there and not done renovations.
- 27:06Speaker 2: We should The kids needed a pool to swim in,
- 27:10Speaker 2: though well had to have the waterfall feature the splash pad.
- 27:15Speaker 1: While living off the insurance proceeds, Schera decided to write
- 27:19Speaker 1: and publish a fictional book titled Mister Tell Me Anything,
- 27:23Speaker 1: later rebranded as The Whispering Woods of Shara Wright. The
- 27:27Speaker 1: novel told the story of an NBA wife married to
- 27:29Speaker 1: a deceitful, cheating basketball star named Kent, that bastard who
- 27:34Speaker 1: moves his family to Atlanta, becomes embroiled in dangerous affairs,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and ultimately ends up shot and killed in the woods.
- 27:40Speaker 2: You stop it.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Can't make this shit up, you know. The thinly veiled
- 27:45Speaker 1: book seemed like a direct taunt to the Memphis community.
- 27:48Speaker 1: For years, billboard signs featuring Lorenzen's face stood along Memphis
- 27:53Speaker 1: highways with the question who killed Lorenzen Wright. His mother,
- 27:58Speaker 1: Deborah Marion held vigils, spoke at every press conference, and
- 28:02Speaker 1: publicly stated that she believed chare was directly involved.
- 28:07Speaker 2: In twenty sixteen, Memphis Police department leadership launched a cold
- 28:10Speaker 2: case initiative dubbed Operation Unfinished Business. A dedicated schoo.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Came up with that name.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I don't know. They were like a genius.
- 28:18Speaker 1: They're like, oh my god, let's call it. Let's call
- 28:21Speaker 1: it like Operation cold Case, nearly no Operation Unfinished Business.
- 28:25Speaker 2: This person obviously went to college, took a class in marketing.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You don't think no, I think there's a bunch of
- 28:34Speaker 1: idiots at at a bar.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Onen't I sitting around going? What do you think?
- 28:38Speaker 1: Well?
- 28:38Speaker 2: I to call it? I don't know. Another round. A
- 28:41Speaker 2: dedicated squad of veterans homicide detectives reinterviewed every original associate
- 28:47Speaker 2: and re examined phone records. The critical breakthrough came when
- 28:51Speaker 2: investigators pressed Jimmy Martin, who was serving prison time in
- 28:54Speaker 2: another state on his separate homicide convention which I guess
- 28:59Speaker 2: he didn't get enough money out of the insurance payment
- 29:01Speaker 2: to get out of it. Seeking immunity in Lorenzen Right case,
- 29:06Speaker 2: Martin confessed to his role in the planning, described the
- 29:09Speaker 2: failed Atlanta attempt, and gave investigators the exact geographical location
- 29:15Speaker 2: of the discarded murder weapon in Mississippi.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Yes, there were too many shady characters involved with this
- 29:21Speaker 1: for somebody not to They went a long time without
- 29:25Speaker 1: breaking But.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yes, well that didn't question them.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I guess no, they because it seems like the.
- 29:30Speaker 2: First time they came to Jimmy and started asking any questions,
- 29:33Speaker 2: he started talking.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah he didn't. I mean he was sitting at Jill,
- 29:36Speaker 1: so he's like, what do I have to lose? Okay,
- 29:38Speaker 1: I'm already here, Yeah, I'm hardy here. In late twenty seventeen,
- 29:42Speaker 1: Memphis detectives and FBI dive teams traveled to the lake
- 29:46Speaker 1: in Walnut, Mississippi, submerging themselves in near zero visibility and
- 29:51Speaker 1: thick silt. Divers combed the lake bed until they struck metal.
- 29:55Speaker 1: They pulled up the handgun used to fire the fatal
- 29:58Speaker 1: shots into Lorenzen. Right. On July nineteenth, twenty ten, ballistics
- 30:03Speaker 1: testing confirmed the match. On December fifth, twenty seventeen, law
- 30:08Speaker 1: enforcement moved in and arrested forty six year old Billy
- 30:11Speaker 1: Ray Turner in Collierville. Got it again, I did, changing
- 30:16Speaker 1: him with change changing like I got Collierville right, all
- 30:20Speaker 1: these doesn't then I stopped charging. Yes, well, I did
- 30:24Speaker 1: our thing as a PD at this time, and it's
- 30:27Speaker 1: like really small font for me, so I'm having a
- 30:30Speaker 1: hard time. But that didn't make sense at all, changing
- 30:33Speaker 1: him changing his diaper, and then no charging him with
- 30:36Speaker 1: first degree premeditated murder.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Ten days later, on December fifteenth, twenty seventeen, federal marshalls
- 30:43Speaker 2: and local police surrounded share A Right at her home
- 30:46Speaker 2: in Riverside County, California. She was arrested and extradited back
- 30:51Speaker 2: to Tennessee to face charges a first degree murder, premeditated murder, conspiracy,
- 30:57Speaker 2: and attempted murder. After seven long years await in, the
- 31:00Speaker 2: handcuffs were finally slapped on the conspirators.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Yes, she got there, Like, get your ass out of
- 31:06Speaker 1: California and come back to Tennessee the dead of winter.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Well, I guess she moved out to Riverside. How would
- 31:13Speaker 2: she move out there? She sounds like she's terrible at
- 31:15Speaker 2: financial planning.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Well, maybe she found somebody else to minimum move you
- 31:19Speaker 1: off of. Yeah. On July twenty fifth, twenty nineteen, just
- 31:23Speaker 1: days before her high profile trial was set to open
- 31:26Speaker 1: in Shelby County Criminal Court, share A Wright surprised the
- 31:30Speaker 1: courtroom by entering a negotiated guilty plea. She pleaded guilty
- 31:34Speaker 1: to facilitation to commit first degree murder and facilitation to
- 31:39Speaker 1: commit attempted first degree murder. Judge Lee Coffee Senate, that's
- 31:45Speaker 1: a great name too, Senates share to thirty years in prison.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Under Tennessee's sentencing guidelines, she must serve at least thirty
- 31:53Speaker 1: percent of her sentence before becoming eligible for parole consideration,
- 31:57Speaker 1: which is bullshit. I think, yeah, it should at least
- 32:01Speaker 1: be fifty good.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Lord, at least fifty one. Yeah, heard first degree premeditator.
- 32:08Speaker 1: At her first parole hearing in May two, the Pearle
- 32:11Speaker 1: Board unanimously rejected her release. So maybe at least they're
- 32:15Speaker 1: just paying. Okay, fine, it's thirty percent, but it's not
- 32:18Speaker 1: gonna let you out.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Billy ray Turner rejected all plea offers and took his
- 32:23Speaker 2: case before a Shelby County jury in March twenty twenty two. Dummy.
- 32:28Speaker 2: During the trial, prosecutors presented ballistics, phone records, and the
- 32:32Speaker 2: detailed eyewitness testimony.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Detailed still work as detailed like.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Detail drink and the details drink, There you go, eyewitness
- 32:42Speaker 2: testimony of Jimmy Martin on March twenty first, twenty twenty two.
- 32:47Speaker 1: How stupid is Billy Ray? Come on? Yes, there's one
- 32:50Speaker 1: person's already played guilty to this, the ring leaders, the
- 32:53Speaker 1: other guys in prison, that's already flipped.
- 32:56Speaker 2: And you're gonna beat this.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yes, I mean, come on on.
- 33:00Speaker 2: March twenty one, twenty twenty two, after only two hours
- 33:04Speaker 2: of deliberation.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And that was them just being nice because that's it.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I were like, hey, we're here, we need to get
- 33:09Speaker 2: our lunch.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Yes, that was probably like whenever I was on jury duty, Oh,
- 33:13Speaker 1: do tell that guy was like definitely guilty of the
- 33:16Speaker 1: drunk driving because they literally had all the everything that
- 33:19Speaker 1: you could possibly against somebody. They had bodycam footage, all
- 33:24Speaker 1: this stuff, all the science behind it, everything, and so
- 33:28Speaker 1: we were in there and we're like, okay, well he's guilty,
- 33:30Speaker 1: and so we're just looking around. I'm like, well, maybe
- 33:32Speaker 1: we should just walk through everything just for fun.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Scenes, you know, let's get our pre lunch.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like we need to. I'm like, let's just
- 33:38Speaker 1: walk through because everybody's like, should we just literally it's
- 33:41Speaker 1: been it literally had been like two minutes and We're like,
- 33:43Speaker 1: we should probably take a little longer, and so we
- 33:47Speaker 1: walked to the whole thing. I pretended to be the person.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I did the whole sobriety test for everybody and everything
- 33:55Speaker 1: I didn't tell you then, Yeah, I offered to do
- 33:58Speaker 1: because they were like, it was I was the only
- 34:01Speaker 1: young person. And I use that as relative because I'm
- 34:05Speaker 1: not young anymore, but I was young compared to him.
- 34:07Speaker 1: They were all in their like seventies eighties, sixty seventies
- 34:11Speaker 1: eighties anyway, So I volunteered because they were talking about
- 34:15Speaker 1: the sobriety test that he failed the field sobriety test.
- 34:17Speaker 1: So I went up and demonstrated everything for everybody and
- 34:21Speaker 1: they all watched me and they're like, oh yeah, I'm like,
- 34:23Speaker 1: see you can there's one that you can do this
- 34:27Speaker 1: if you're not because they were like, well what if
- 34:29Speaker 1: you're just like not very balanced or something like that,
- 34:32Speaker 1: and I'm like, well he had boots on, I have
- 34:33Speaker 1: these flimsy ballet flats. If I can do it, and
- 34:36Speaker 1: I'm pregnant, so you know anyway, So yeah, I did that.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I was the four I'm sure all of you heard
- 34:43Speaker 1: this before. I was the four person. I got to
- 34:46Speaker 1: read the sentencing or the verdict.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Verdict.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yes, a big, big moment for me, Toto big moment.
- 34:56Speaker 2: And there I was trying to get out of Jerry
- 34:58Speaker 2: duty and you're like what, Like, yeah, I wrote them
- 35:01Speaker 2: twice because they caught me twice. We were going on
- 35:03Speaker 2: vacation or something going somewhere, and now I'm going to
- 35:06Speaker 2: be in town. And then the third time that just
- 35:08Speaker 2: took me off. Oh, they summoned me and I was like, shit,
- 35:11Speaker 2: there ain't no getting out of it now. And that's
- 35:13Speaker 2: the last minute. I got a phone call saying you
- 35:15Speaker 2: are not required to be there.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yep, wow, you just really just you know who. I
- 35:20Speaker 1: don't want to be on the journey for though the
- 35:22Speaker 1: Lindsay Clancy try. No, actually I do, because we will
- 35:26Speaker 1: go through that I had. I had fifteen points if
- 35:30Speaker 1: you include the bow on the prosecutor to go through.
- 35:33Speaker 1: But I have additional points now because we haven't recorded
- 35:36Speaker 1: that episode. Yet.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Oh, we recorded it. We recorded the first five minutes, okay,
- 35:41Speaker 2: and then Popeye over there.
- 35:44Speaker 1: We recorded late. I was swimming and having a good
- 35:47Speaker 1: time and I was like, no, I need to be
- 35:49Speaker 1: fully alert to go through this. I cannot this Lindsay
- 35:53Speaker 1: clancy thing is too important. Anyways, Finish up this is
- 35:56Speaker 1: where we're getting distracted. Finish up your less little bits too.
- 36:00Speaker 2: In March twenty first two.
- 36:02Speaker 1: We did that already after deliberation.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's as far as I got. I was reminding
- 36:07Speaker 2: people where we were though, after you sidetracked. After only
- 36:11Speaker 2: two hours of deliberation, Karen, the jury returned guilty verdicts
- 36:15Speaker 2: on all counts first degree premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit
- 36:20Speaker 2: first degree murder, and attempted first degree murder. Judge Coffee
- 36:25Speaker 2: sentenced Turner to an automatic life sentence in prison, plus
- 36:29Speaker 2: an additional forty one years on the conspiracy and weapons charges.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Lorenzo's mother sat in the front row, looking at Billy
- 36:38Speaker 2: Ray Turner in the eye as justice was finally delivered.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Yes, they all ended up in jail. That's my chair,
- 36:47Speaker 1: squeaking fl We're getting new chairs.

- 37:04Speaker 1: that's our case for this week's due. Do you have
- 37:08Speaker 1: your you'll need Jesus ready?
- 37:10Speaker 2: I do. Okay, let me look it up. Read you
- 37:15Speaker 2: the headline, Caara, you can tell me if it's Florida

- 37:22Speaker 2: dog costume arrested after covering neighbors vehicle in toilet paper.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I would say that's Florida. That would only happen in Florida.
- 37:31Speaker 2: You think so? Are you sure? I'm sure you are correct?
- 37:36Speaker 2: Kara from Saint Petersburg, Florida. August twenty two, twenty twenty
- 37:40Speaker 2: five from Fox thirteen, Tampa Bay. A Saint Petersburg woman
- 37:46Speaker 2: wearing a hot dog costume was arrested for disorderly conduct

- 37:53Speaker 2: said Marsham Morgan was arrested Monday for disorderly conduct and
- 37:57Speaker 2: resisting an officer without violence without vice.

- 38:09Speaker 2: When totally gets start. I do too.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I totally understand this.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yes, in Texas, these people park on the streets and
- 38:17Speaker 2: it drives me bananas. Not that we're not doing it
- 38:19Speaker 2: because we don't have enough room.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Well, we're in these neighborhoods with no driveways. What do
- 38:23Speaker 1: they want from us?
- 38:23Speaker 2: Okay exactly, they said, She, while dressed in a hot
- 38:27Speaker 2: dog costume, started leaning against her neighbor's vehicle. She also
- 38:32Speaker 2: ripped toilet paper and started placing it all over the vehicle,
- 38:36Speaker 2: The responding officers said in her arrest after David affid David,
- 38:41Speaker 2: she is accused of being intoxicated, there's there's a reasoning
- 38:45Speaker 2: for it, and refusing to copperate. Cooperate with the intoxicate.
- 38:51Speaker 2: I am a little bit. I have been drinking. Yes,
- 38:53Speaker 2: According to SPPD, that would be her Saint Petersburg Police
- 38:57Speaker 2: Department there and that's where we're that with Marshall Morgan,
- 39:02Speaker 2: the hot.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Dog drink, dressed as a weenie.
- 39:05Speaker 2: And a weenie costume, TPN car.
- 39:08Speaker 1: You know, some of these people might have in this
- 39:09Speaker 1: neighborhood might have got me to that points. Dude dressing
- 39:11Speaker 1: up like a hot dog and TP or like toilet
- 39:14Speaker 1: paper in their cars. These people, although our neighbor was
- 39:18Speaker 1: super nice, although I think he just wants us to leave.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure he's the one that was riding hoa
- 39:22Speaker 1: about our weeds. Did you talk to him? No, Yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 1: he parked because the moving van was parked in front
- 39:31Speaker 1: of his driveway, so we had to park across the street.
- 39:34Speaker 2: And his wife is walking with her cane. Oh Jesus
- 39:39Speaker 2: to get into the driveway.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Lovely, Well he could. They could have just asked him
- 39:46Speaker 1: to move. I guess. I guess they figured by the
- 39:48Speaker 1: time they moved, Yeah, because they could have backed it
- 39:50Speaker 1: up a little bit. Yeah, I mean, I don't know
- 39:52Speaker 1: what you do these We're in a neighbor one of
- 39:54Speaker 1: these neighborhoods. It's a d R. Horton neighborhood. Literally, everybody's
- 39:57Speaker 1: on top of everybody's asses over here. There's no driveway space,
- 40:00Speaker 1: there's nothing like you're just piled up on top of
- 40:03Speaker 1: each other. So anyways, that's a that's a that's a sitting,
- 40:08Speaker 1: sipping and bullshitting story.

- 40:19Speaker 1: that I watched that we were gonna if we have time,
- 40:21Speaker 1: we'll get to that. But I have a lot of
- 40:23Speaker 1: feelings about the Lindsay Clancy trial. I'll just start randomly.
- 40:28Speaker 1: It's just like me doing something and all randomly walking
- 40:31Speaker 1: Around'm like, can you believe this? The neighbor said he

- 40:38Speaker 1: was five point fifty pm, but Patrick claims he talked
- 40:42Speaker 1: to her at five point thirty four pm. Some means
- 40:46Speaker 1: within sixteen minutes she was done with all the stuff
- 40:49Speaker 1: she's going to do with herself and laying in the

- 41:12Speaker 1: he said, the Wi Fi and the nine one one
- 41:14Speaker 1: call kept going in it but he literally just said that.
- 41:17Speaker 1: He called Lindsay when he got home because he couldn't
- 41:20Speaker 1: see her car and he thought she had taken it,
- 41:21Speaker 1: although she said she hadn't been driving for a while
- 41:23Speaker 1: because she had been fit to fill and so off.
