- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:33Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma on Tuesday, February fourth, two
- 0:38Speaker 1: thousand and five. In case you missed the biggest news
- 0:46Speaker 1: story over the weekend, and I did intentionally ignore it
- 0:52Speaker 1: on yesterday's show, the Dallas Mavericks created Luka Duncic to
- 0:59Speaker 1: the Lakers on Sunday in a move that has shocked
- 1:03Speaker 1: and surprised fans, and some of the fans are not happy.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I frankly don't care.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Why is that? Why did you? Why do you not
- 1:18Speaker 2: care about the biggest news out of Dallas For a
- 1:22Speaker 2: very long time, I.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Would care about the biggest news out of Dallas, but
- 1:25Speaker 1: this is not new news in Dallas. One of the
- 1:28Speaker 1: four major sports franchipe son of a bitch, I can't talk,
- 1:33Speaker 1: one of the four major sports franchises in Dallas is
- 1:36Speaker 1: again trying to piss me off as a sports fan,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and I'm not having it anymore.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Oh I'm tired of it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm tired of being let on, I'm tired of being bamboozled, hoodwinked.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Rick Schad slam, doozled, or whatever other dumb nineteen twenties
- 1:53Speaker 1: flapper words come to mind.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I thought you were going on like a Malcolm Dan
- 1:58Speaker 3: Rant I would if I knew the rest of the speech.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I hate to say it. More and more I've read
- 2:05Speaker 3: about it, thought about it. I understand why they did it.
- 2:08Speaker 1: We didn't land on Luca Luca landing on us.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Everyone everyone loves Luca, and I get it. But in
- 2:17Speaker 3: Dallas I think there's a they want him to be
- 2:20Speaker 3: Dirk he is not. And two, everyone has forgotten how
- 2:24Speaker 3: bad he was in the playoffs last year, especially in
- 2:27Speaker 3: the finals. If you give me the number one reason
- 2:29Speaker 3: why we got our ass whipped by Boston is Luca's.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Defense, because he was also injured, though when he was
- 2:35Speaker 2: playing through it.
- 2:36Speaker 3: He's never played defense. His defense sucks. That's liability.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I think that is an interesting angle on this entire
- 2:44Speaker 1: situation is MAVs general manager Nico Harrison comes out and
- 2:48Speaker 1: says one of the main reasons why they made the
- 2:50Speaker 1: trade is because he believes defense wins championships. And I
- 2:55Speaker 1: think that's laughable because barely anyone in the NBA place
- 3:00Speaker 1: defense anymore. The referees barely even referee anymore. So that's
- 3:04Speaker 1: why I don't care. I care that there's another sports
- 3:09Speaker 1: franchise in town that is doing its damnedest to disappoint me.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And I'm sure the Cowboys are glad to no longer be,
- 3:17Speaker 1: you know, solely in that barrel, because in the blink
- 3:21Speaker 1: of an eye, in the matter of one news story,
- 3:24Speaker 1: the MAVs may have shot to the top of the
- 3:26Speaker 1: list of least favorite sports franchise in the DFW.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And I feel matt for Antonio Davis who's coming in
- 3:33Speaker 2: the trade.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I don't feel bad for him. He's an uber millionaire.
- 3:36Speaker 1: He's barely had to play for any of.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It, I know, But I mean, he's he's an outstanding player.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But I saw the stat over the weekend he's made
- 3:44Speaker 1: over one hundred and twenty three million dollars while riding
- 3:48Speaker 1: the bench due to injury. Yeah, I'm sorry, my overall
- 3:53Speaker 1: sports fan cynicism is coming full.
- 3:56Speaker 2: No, I just I mean, to come to a city
- 3:57Speaker 2: that literally hated the idea of you coming here for
- 4:02Speaker 2: them trading Luca, like, that's just got to be you know,
- 4:05Speaker 2: you're gonna walk into that arena and you gotta play.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You know, you got to play the game. And there's
- 4:09Speaker 2: gonna be people in the stands that are booing you.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Nah, they'll have one good game, they'll be fine.
- 4:16Speaker 2: But yeah, a couple of good games, I think they'll
- 4:18Speaker 2: be fine.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Here here's the other thing. Uh, and you read the numbers.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I understand why the MAVs did it. Like Luca was
- 4:26Speaker 3: his max contract with Dallas I think was five three
- 4:29Speaker 3: forty five mm hm. He goes to Lakers, his max
- 4:32Speaker 3: deal is five and like two thirty twenty nine. It's
- 4:37Speaker 3: one hundred and like sixteen seventeen million dollar difference that
- 4:41Speaker 3: and who knows, they may La may sign him and
- 4:43Speaker 3: we may get them back. It may have been a
- 4:46Speaker 3: rental player for a year. Well, you know lebron le
- 4:52Speaker 3: broun Man, you know, messes with his lineup. See if
- 4:54Speaker 3: he can't get one more title.
- 4:56Speaker 1: If that is, if that is what the MAVs have
- 4:59Speaker 1: up their sleeve as their goal, and they've maybe done
- 5:04Speaker 1: something underneath the table to strategize this with Luca. Say look,
- 5:09Speaker 1: here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna piss everybody off,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and we need you to play the part. You go
- 5:13Speaker 1: to La and you be and you be kind of
- 5:14Speaker 1: pissy about it for a little bit, but you're gonna
- 5:16Speaker 1: play in La You're gonna have fun. And meanwhile, what
- 5:18Speaker 1: we're doing is we're stalking your team for you. That's
- 5:21Speaker 1: what we're doing. It's just gonna take a little little
- 5:25Speaker 1: bit more to do it. So we're gonna we're gonna
- 5:27Speaker 1: send you away to get these guys, and then we're
- 5:29Speaker 1: gonna bring you back with a bunch of money. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: cool with that, uh, dough boy okay? Cool?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah. And then they were talking about like his conditioning
- 5:37Speaker 2: and his uh you know, serious weight gain and things
- 5:40Speaker 2: like that. I understand that as well, but uh, I
- 5:44Speaker 2: don't know if it's necessarily uh the brightest move when
- 5:49Speaker 2: it comes to how disappointed the fans in this town
- 5:51Speaker 2: are already of the cowboys, like we've had it, Like
- 5:54Speaker 2: that was enough. Like when you saw like he had
- 5:55Speaker 2: to release a statement, Nico Harris had to release some
- 6:00Speaker 2: smaller statement like they've had. It's been very vocal.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Well it's it hasn't always been like there have been
- 6:10Speaker 3: problems with Luca. Yes, one of the things his off season,
- 6:14Speaker 3: you know, lack of working out. He shows up to
- 6:17Speaker 3: you know, camp.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Fluffy mm hmm uh.
- 6:22Speaker 3: You know it's it.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Really does bottle the mind. It really does boggle the mind.
- 6:26Speaker 1: How a professional athlete basketball no less, can you know,
- 6:32Speaker 1: do that much running in the course of a game
- 6:34Speaker 1: and and still be that soft looking.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah. I was watching a thing on Dennis Rodman the
- 6:40Speaker 2: other night and he would go to the bar, uh
- 6:43Speaker 2: and Michael Jordan said it was the most uncanny thing
- 6:45Speaker 2: he'd ever seen. He'd have like forty shots at Eggermeister
- 6:48Speaker 2: and then the next morning he's in the gym at
- 6:50Speaker 2: six am, he said, quote running like a gazelle and
- 6:54Speaker 2: it didn't phase him. And Rodman was quoted on He's like, yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 2: my diet was bad, my drinkling was bad, I was smoking,
- 7:02Speaker 2: and I'm still winning championships. So he's like, I had
- 7:05Speaker 2: to give it up because it scared me, And I
- 7:10Speaker 2: get it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: That may be part of the reason why everyone loves
- 7:13Speaker 1: Luke is because a bunch of us, a bunch of
- 7:17Speaker 1: us watching the game can can see ourselves in him
- 7:20Speaker 1: because we may have seen him next to us in
- 7:23Speaker 1: line at CC's before the game.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean still, he's a professional athlete, is
- 7:27Speaker 2: six ' eight, I think so even if he is
- 7:31Speaker 2: to seventy, Like, yeah, that's a little doe. But at
- 7:34Speaker 2: that high. If I was too seventy, he'd be like Roger,
- 7:36Speaker 2: there's a problem. Yeah, but he's six 's eight to
- 7:41Speaker 2: seventies is passable.
- 7:44Speaker 1: But so Trey, you're on board with a Luca trade.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I understand, like why everyone's upset, But like I said,
- 7:51Speaker 3: I understand why they did it. I especially when you
- 7:55Speaker 3: look at the at the numbers and everything else, and
- 7:58Speaker 3: I don't know if he is the cornerstone piece to
- 8:03Speaker 3: win a championship. He's not Dirk. I think that is
- 8:06Speaker 3: the biggest thing is everyone wants him to be Dirk.
- 8:08Speaker 3: He is not Dirk. Dirk was a generational player.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Barring some mastermind level subterfuge to trade him, get players back,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and then resign him when he becomes a free agent
- 8:23Speaker 1: back to the MAVs, therefore stalking the team for him.
- 8:26Speaker 1: If that's not the reason that they're doing it, which
- 8:29Speaker 1: would be unlikely, then it really is a huge gamble
- 8:36Speaker 1: for the MAVs. But it does show that they don't believe,
- 8:43Speaker 1: they don't have any belief in Luca as a generational
- 8:46Speaker 1: player the way the fans do.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I mean, look, at the team right now. They're twenty
- 8:50Speaker 3: six and twenty four. They're very middle of the road.
- 8:55Speaker 3: And yes, they got to the finals last year, but
- 9:00Speaker 3: they got their ass whooped, and I think Denver had
- 9:05Speaker 3: already been knocked out. I don't remember their road to
- 9:07Speaker 3: the finals, but it's to me, there's nothing I mean.
- 9:13Speaker 3: And if you're old as old as we are, I
- 9:16Speaker 3: hate to say it, but the MAVs have been good
- 9:20Speaker 3: for about a five year window in our lives. Other
- 9:22Speaker 3: than that, they've been a very mediocre franchise and we're.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Still riding that five year wave.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Baby, Hey listen. I when the Rangers won a World Series,
- 9:32Speaker 3: that was the one. There are two things I really
- 9:35Speaker 3: never didn't know if I'd ever see in my lifetime.
- 9:38Speaker 3: So I've seen Cowboys, seen the Stars, saw the Mavericks.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I didn't know if I'd ever see the Rangers win
- 9:43Speaker 3: a World Series. I've seen Texas win a national championship.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Was there. I don't think I'll ever see Texas basketball
- 9:50Speaker 3: win a national championship when the NCAA, but the Rangers
- 9:54Speaker 3: in Texas basketball were the two things I really never
- 9:56Speaker 3: thought i'd see. Saw the Rangers win a World Series.
- 9:58Speaker 3: It was a glorifying, just glorious moment, just washed away
- 10:03Speaker 3: all the pain of twenty eleven. So I'm I'm I'm good.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you just got to understand that, you know,
- 10:12Speaker 2: Luca has no what's his name blackman? Once you get
- 10:23Speaker 2: around that.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Who was the mass player that was such a problem.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Oh uh, it wasn't Tarpley. Wasn't, yes, Roy, Yeah, wasn't
- 10:39Speaker 2: he just beating people up, like getting bars and stuff.
- 10:44Speaker 2: He would just get like outrageous, blackout drunk and beat
- 10:47Speaker 2: the crap out of people. And they're like, and.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I believe he failed a couple drug tests.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Roy Tarpley was one of the few athletes that when
- 10:56Speaker 1: he walked into a Dallas Cowboys party, all the cowboys go, whoa,
- 11:02Speaker 1: that guy doesn't give any drugs.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You're listening to The Treehouse.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Visit us online a Treehouse on airs dot com.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 11:18Speaker 1: into the Treehouse for your free roof inspection. Call the
- 11:21Speaker 1: man eight three to three cook DFW or the website
- 11:24Speaker 1: COOKDFW dot com. Daniel, we were talking on the show
- 11:27Speaker 1: recently about the Cowboys new head coach and Trey is
- 11:31Speaker 1: not on board with it. He thinks all hope is lost.
- 11:34Speaker 1: How do you feel as a as a fellow Cowboys fan?
- 11:37Speaker 6: Dan, You know, I mean, honestly, I'm I'm disappointed in
- 11:41Speaker 6: a lot of things that the Cowboys do. And Jerry Jones,
- 11:43Speaker 6: I know, Trey is it. I mean, he's basically say
- 11:47Speaker 6: it's a dumpster fire the size of the Los Angeles wildfires.
- 11:51Speaker 6: And I mean I was listening to him, and I
- 11:53Speaker 6: agree with a lot of stuff he's saying. I think
- 11:55Speaker 6: there are a great marketing and they make a ton
- 11:59Speaker 6: of money, and I don't think the operations of the
- 12:01Speaker 6: football team are the best. But I'm gonna stay loyal.
- 12:04Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know anything. I mean, this is
- 12:06Speaker 6: what I've grown up with. I've grown up with every team,
- 12:08Speaker 6: and so we've had.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Some really bad years and we haven't been good in
- 12:12Speaker 2: thirty years.
- 12:13Speaker 6: But I mean it's fun to go. They do put
- 12:16Speaker 6: on a good show. I'm not gonna go to a
- 12:17Speaker 6: game though. I'm not gonna go to a game. What
- 12:19Speaker 6: I am gonna do, though, is for the audience. If
- 12:22Speaker 6: they win the Super Bowl next year, We're gonna give
- 12:25Speaker 6: away a free total roof.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Replacement to someone. That's what I'm gonna do.
- 12:30Speaker 6: That's how loyal of the fan I'm gonna be if
- 12:32Speaker 6: they win. When they win the Super Bowl next year,
- 12:34Speaker 6: we're gonna give away a brand new roof, free roof man,
- 12:36Speaker 6: free roof when the Cowboys win the Super Bowl twenty
- 12:39Speaker 6: twenty six.
- 12:41Speaker 1: That's well, a good way to see if you can
- 12:43Speaker 1: get entered into that situation is to call Daniel Cook
- 12:46Speaker 1: now to get up to get in there and say, hey,
- 12:50Speaker 1: if the Cowboys do win that I want that free
- 12:52Speaker 1: roof to be on my house. Eight three three Cook
- 12:54Speaker 1: DFW eight three three Cook DFW or the website cookdfw
- 12:58Speaker 1: dot com.
- 13:07Speaker 7: You're in the treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse on

- 13:14Speaker 1: This segment is brought to you by Cook df W
- 13:17Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration. To get your free roof inspection, called
- 13:20Speaker 1: Daniel and Kerry Cook today eight three three Cook DFW.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That's eight three three Cook DFW or go to cookdfw
- 13:28Speaker 1: dot com. I'm danil Maley along with Trey Trendholm and
- 13:31Speaker 1: Roj Sharma inside the Treehouse with you today Tuesday, February fourth,
- 13:35Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Trey, what was it you were saying
- 13:38Speaker 1: just just a minute ago.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Oh, Roy Tarpley died in twenty fifteen cause of death
- 13:45Speaker 3: liver failure.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah he was.
- 13:50Speaker 3: He was the SMU of the NBA, and that he
- 13:53Speaker 3: basically got the death penalty in ninety five where they
- 13:56Speaker 3: banned him from the league permanently because of so many
- 14:00Speaker 3: failed drug and alcohol tests.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And that took a lot back then. Yeah, I don't
- 14:06Speaker 1: I can't think of any other player like, uh, run
- 14:09Speaker 1: our test. Did he get completely closed out from so
- 14:14Speaker 1: run our test, went into the stands and punched fans
- 14:17Speaker 1: and they still didn't blackball him. Roy Tarpley, though, did
- 14:21Speaker 1: so much bad stuff that yeah, he gets.
- 14:24Speaker 3: But this is and and RAJ brought up an excellent
- 14:28Speaker 3: person and Dennis Rodman. You know you're playing at the
- 14:31Speaker 3: same time with Dennis Rodman. They at that point in
- 14:35Speaker 3: the NBA, they knew when the drug test were coming.
- 14:39Speaker 3: You could probably have at that point have someone take
- 14:42Speaker 3: it for you. It wasn't scrutinized the way it is now.
- 14:46Speaker 3: So the fact you failed that many meant you're an addict,
- 14:50Speaker 3: which I always will feel sorry for.
- 14:52Speaker 2: But really dumb and round test.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Uh.
- 14:58Speaker 2: The Lakers head coach of Phil Jackson. I forgot that
- 15:02Speaker 2: Phil Jackson sent him to basically, uh in patient therapy.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So that's when he came out with as Metal World
- 15:10Speaker 2: Peace because he was like you, it's either you go
- 15:13Speaker 2: to therapy because you have really really volatile issues, or
- 15:17Speaker 2: we don't play you anymore.
- 15:19Speaker 3: If you haven't watched, I forgot the story about the
- 15:23Speaker 3: fight the Malice at the Palace where you know, the
- 15:27Speaker 3: Detroit players came off the bench and we're fighting people
- 15:31Speaker 3: in the stands. Yeah, and Roy Tarpley, I forgot the
- 15:34Speaker 3: guy's name is. You know, they're after the fight, uh,
- 15:38Speaker 3: in the locker room and they're tying, you know, Tarply goes,
- 15:40Speaker 3: I mean not Sarply. Ron Artesca. You think we're get
- 15:43Speaker 3: in trouble for this?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, the guy was like, oh man, yeah. And I
- 15:51Speaker 2: think it was a smart move because they knew how
- 15:54Speaker 2: how he was that. I think he had like a
- 15:55Speaker 2: one year contract with the WWE at that point, Like
- 15:59Speaker 2: they were having like Ron artest is going to wrestle now.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I'm like she needs to. He needs to let it
- 16:03Speaker 2: out somewhere. He's beating up fans.
- 16:07Speaker 1: For the record, though, Trey, since you saw that documentary
- 16:10Speaker 1: and my memory is fuzzy. Uh did the fans that
- 16:15Speaker 1: he went in the stands to attack? Did they kind
- 16:17Speaker 1: of deserve it? Were they saying things that they absolutely
- 16:19Speaker 1: shouldn't have been?
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah? It was Detroit. Yeah, I mean I think, yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 3: they were. I wait, no, I don't think. I'm trying
- 16:29Speaker 3: to think who are ar test was playing? I can't
- 16:32Speaker 3: remember if it was Detroit it was. Yeah, they were
- 16:34Speaker 3: saying awful things. I mean that somebody.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I think somebody threw a beard like a water bottle. Okay,
- 16:41Speaker 2: that's what it was.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh, yeah, they were saying awful things. And
- 16:45Speaker 3: and that was at a time not like today where
- 16:48Speaker 3: fans could get away with anything and thought they were protected.
- 16:53Speaker 3: And so yeah, did they deserve it?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Probably.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I love I love seeing that look on people's faces
- 17:00Speaker 1: when the thing that they're doing gets met by equal,
- 17:04Speaker 1: if not greater resistance. You know, it's like, I'm gonna
- 17:08Speaker 1: say some horrible, horrible things at you, and do you
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw an object at you, and then to
- 17:14Speaker 1: see their face go uh to you know, to light
- 17:17Speaker 1: up with with realization that they've done wrong. When that
- 17:20Speaker 1: person then comes to attack them physically and they go oh,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I love the oak face.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 3: And if you've never if you've never been next to
- 17:31Speaker 3: an NBA player, you don't realize because they're all so
- 17:35Speaker 3: giant on TV. It doesn't it's not as striking when
- 17:41Speaker 3: you're next to one. They're nothing huge.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, when when one is standing over you and and
- 17:49Speaker 1: and saying, what's my name? Would you call me?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Yea?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Was that a bottle of Was that a bottle of
- 17:57Speaker 1: water you threw at me? You think that was? Who's
- 18:02Speaker 1: that sitting next to you? Is that your girlfriend?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Alan I?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Everson choked his coach and still played that night. He
- 18:14Speaker 2: choked hiss coach and practice.
- 18:15Speaker 3: And it was in the game that week Michael Jordan
- 18:18Speaker 3: knocked Steve Kerr out in a practice.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, there was a no holds bard back then, Like yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 2: the nineties, man nineties NBA, that was those are the days.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the Pistons would talk about how they would
- 18:32Speaker 2: go out to injured players.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Yeah, eighties and actually pretty much all the NBA from
- 18:37Speaker 1: the seventies, eighties and nineties was was all right there.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And then in the two thousands then they just kind
- 18:43Speaker 1: of got you know, soft, like Luca.
- 18:46Speaker 3: That's why I'll say this one of the most underrated
- 18:49Speaker 3: players of that era just because he didn't win a ring,
- 18:51Speaker 3: but really probably one of the best top five players
- 18:54Speaker 3: of all time in that era.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Charles Barkley, Oh for sure. He has my one of
- 18:58Speaker 2: my favorite quotes. He's like, I didn't go to Auburn
- 19:00Speaker 2: for college. I want to Auburn. I went to Auburn
- 19:02Speaker 2: to play basketball.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It's worked out well for him.

- 19:55Speaker 1: Air dot com. There's a little more to the uh
- 19:59Speaker 1: Luca Donch just being traded by the Dallas Mavericks to
- 20:03Speaker 1: the Los Angeles Lakers story. We'll jump into that a
- 20:06Speaker 1: little bit later, but before we do that, there's a
- 20:09Speaker 1: story that is of the utmost stupid that I want
- 20:13Speaker 1: to share with you. Besides the MAVs trading, its generational
- 20:17Speaker 1: talent to the Lakers, and that is a woman used
- 20:21Speaker 1: fart selfies to harass her partner's x. This is the
- 20:26Speaker 1: first I've ever heard of such a thing, and I
- 20:29Speaker 1: hope it's not the last.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Fart selfies.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Yeah. A woman sent videos of herself farting in a
- 20:38Speaker 1: series of harassing messages to her boyfriend's ex partner and
- 20:43Speaker 1: now she's been given a restraining order. Her name is
- 20:46Speaker 1: Randon Evans. She's twenty five from somewhere in the United Kingdom,
- 20:50Speaker 1: perhaps Wales. She pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of
- 20:54Speaker 1: conduct amounting to the harassment. Everything's so formal in England.
- 20:58Speaker 1: This is from the VPC, so just bearre. Prosecutors told
- 21:02Speaker 1: magistrates in the town how her first inappropriate video she
- 21:06Speaker 1: proceeds to pass gas by placing the camera on her
- 21:09Speaker 1: bottom and passing the gas. She sent three more fart
- 21:14Speaker 1: selfies to Deborah Pither via WhatsApp in December and this
- 21:20Speaker 1: got hurt in court because you know it's evidence, and
- 21:23Speaker 1: then for more in the following days, showing Miss Evans
- 21:26Speaker 1: passing wind her face smiling at the camera. She was
- 21:31Speaker 1: warned after police cut wind of the issue, but she
- 21:35Speaker 1: sent more messages on Boxing Day and New Year's Day,
- 21:39Speaker 1: so this was just a real crime spree over the
- 21:44Speaker 1: holiday break of wind. She was arrested at her home
- 21:49Speaker 1: and admitted descending the videos, which is understandable considering how
- 21:52Speaker 1: you could see her face smiling of them, and she
- 21:56Speaker 1: was given a twelve a twelve month community or her
- 22:00Speaker 1: and find. According to the prosecutors, she suggested she wanted
- 22:04Speaker 1: to send videos because she felt her partner was being
- 22:07Speaker 1: treated unfairly.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Because pictures wouldn't wouldn't really drive home, don't really send
- 22:14Speaker 3: the right message.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, when a photo won't, do you say video whisper? Well,
- 22:29Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I guess good on. Good on
- 22:31Speaker 1: the boyfriend for telling his current girlfriend. All right, baby,
- 22:33Speaker 1: look I'm getting some uh mean messages from my ex.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And then her response is, well, i'll show her.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Give me the can of baked beans.
- 22:45Speaker 1: You may want to leave for two or three hours.
- 22:48Speaker 2: The country that invented beans on topest. Yeah, no, no,
- 22:52Speaker 2: wonder that's there. That's harassment here. That's just Florida. That's
- 22:57Speaker 2: what we call it.
- 23:02Speaker 1: According to court documents and his entire case and approbation,
- 23:05Speaker 1: officer miss Evans, who was guilty of the fart selfies.
- 23:10Speaker 1: She'd been in a relationship for two years. There was
- 23:12Speaker 1: bad blood with the boyfriend's X. There were some issues
- 23:16Speaker 1: going on between them, and apparently it was in regard
- 23:20Speaker 1: to child contact. At the time she sent the fart selfies,
- 23:23Speaker 1: she had had some drinks and sent them. Understanding now
- 23:26Speaker 1: this has caused the victim some distress, But apparently she
- 23:30Speaker 1: says she sent them without malicious intent.
- 23:39Speaker 2: She should have been like, see, I send them to
- 23:40Speaker 2: my mom all the time, very Christmas Mom.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Some people send.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Means she sends flagelets ours, Yeah, I know. Some people
- 24:03Speaker 2: send flowers, some people send flat limbs. You gotta be
- 24:06Speaker 2: the boyfriend, like, I mean, that's gotta be You gotta
- 24:09Speaker 2: be proud of him, you know, in a way where
- 24:10Speaker 2: you're like, he's like, you do that girl? That's my
- 24:13Speaker 2: That's my gassy lady right there? That is that is
- 24:15Speaker 2: my woman?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Or is it so bad? It like sparks some PTSD.
- 24:23Speaker 2: It was so bad she could smell it through the phone.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Imagine how the delivery guy felt.

- 25:51Speaker 1: com slash Treehouse on Air. Uh. There was another big
- 25:56Speaker 1: angle on this Dallas Mavericks trading Luca Donchez story that
- 25:59Speaker 1: I thought was fascinating, and that was as news spread
- 26:04Speaker 1: that the Maps had traded Luca, fans of course hit
- 26:09Speaker 1: social media in waves to state their opinions, most of
- 26:15Speaker 1: which were on the negative side trays on the side
- 26:17Speaker 1: of no. I can understand why they did it, but
- 26:20Speaker 1: it's interesting the response that the Mavericks have had in
- 26:25Speaker 1: not necessarily just defending the trade but seeming to try
- 26:31Speaker 1: to snuff out any sort of fan outpouring of appreciation
- 26:36Speaker 1: for Luca. What I'm talking about, specifically is the memorial,
- 26:39Speaker 1: the makeshift memorial that people had thrown up at the
- 26:43Speaker 1: DOUBLEAC in Dallas, posters saying goodbye to Luca, thanks for
- 26:48Speaker 1: the memories. I think some people had some flowers and
- 26:50Speaker 1: things out there, And it's fascinating to me that staff
- 26:57Speaker 1: at the American Airlines Center were told take that crap down,
- 27:01Speaker 1: and in the middle of the night on Sunday night,
- 27:03Speaker 1: that's what they did. They tore down the makeshift Luca
- 27:06Speaker 1: memorial outside the Double a c that fans had done,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and that just seems in poor taste to me.
- 27:17Speaker 3: You know, you don't think the casket was in poor taste.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I didn't see that. Yeah, who who had it?
- 27:27Speaker 3: It wasn't even big enough for him. But yeah, there was.
- 27:29Speaker 1: A casket for Luca or the Mavericks.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Well, I think for the symbolically for the MAVs. I
- 27:38Speaker 3: guess I don't know. I did I did you?
- 27:41Speaker 2: Did you? Did you attend the funeral?
- 27:43Speaker 3: No? I just saw I saw a video of the procession.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Oh my, that's a little that's a little, that's a
- 27:50Speaker 2: little extreme.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It is it's a little much.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Was was the funeral procession? Was it done by those
- 27:57Speaker 1: guys from Africa that do the dance with the coffin
- 27:59Speaker 1: on their shoulders? No, uh uh, that would have been fun.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It's just had some candles and yeah, they followed the
- 28:06Speaker 3: casket to the front of American Airlines Center.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Who are the ball bears like his ages?
- 28:17Speaker 3: Some sad looking guys who clearly didn't have anything better
- 28:20Speaker 3: to do on a Saturday night?
- 28:23Speaker 2: And where do you pick? Forgive me because we cremate
- 28:26Speaker 2: as Hindus. I'm just saying, like, can you pick up
- 28:29Speaker 2: a casket on a Saturday night like you go to Sam's.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Well, there was that casket store off seventy five in Dallas.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I think that's still there.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I like the cast. Yeah, the casket store
- 28:41Speaker 2: was also it's gone now, but the next door to
- 28:43Speaker 2: the casket store on seventy five was Boxes to Go,
- 28:45Speaker 2: which I thought was hilarious.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I think that's a good idea if you're the casket store,
- 28:51Speaker 1: because your competition that's much cheaper is right next door
- 28:54Speaker 1: to you.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Just put him in a box. Yeah.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Next door to that was Cindy's Delicate doesn't still there.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Fantastic place that that that place is good.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Get The number four is a pastami and corn beef yeah.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Okay, which ironically, if you eat that enough, it'll put
- 29:13Speaker 1: you in a casket.
- 29:14Speaker 2: And then if you're if you're away from home, you
- 29:16Speaker 2: can ship yourself from boxes to go.
- 29:20Speaker 1: But yeah, fans created a makeshift memorial outside the double
- 29:23Speaker 1: A C and double AC staff went outside in the
- 29:28Speaker 1: middle of the night and took down all the posters,
- 29:31Speaker 1: the flowers and the other mementos left and tribute for
- 29:35Speaker 1: Luka Doncic. But yeah, I did not see that there
- 29:38Speaker 1: was a casket there for it.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah did they? Did they give it to him at least?
- 29:43Speaker 2: Like here's like what the fans left, Like. I'm sure
- 29:46Speaker 2: there were cards, and I'm sure there was like a
- 29:48Speaker 2: good buying stuff and maybe blurs were written.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I'm sure there were. Yeah, there were cards and other things.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I mean it it it was a memorial. But yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 3: they there was a let me say that I shouldn't
- 30:02Speaker 3: I saw the procession with the coffin. I'm assuming they
- 30:05Speaker 3: left it there. But and that's one of the things
- 30:08Speaker 3: that got cleaned up. It does it seems a little
- 30:10Speaker 3: over the top and what are the maps supposed to do?
- 30:12Speaker 3: I mean, he didn't die, they traded him. It happens, Yeah,
- 30:16Speaker 3: it does happen.
- 30:17Speaker 1: W F a A. According to their article, they said
- 30:21Speaker 1: early Monday morning, crews were seen clearing away the growing
- 30:24Speaker 1: tribute and throwing the items in trash cans. So I'm
- 30:29Speaker 1: just like they were forwarding any of that to Luca gotcha.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I'm sure Orlando felt the same way when they traded
- 30:35Speaker 2: Shack to the Lakers. He was like the staple for
- 30:39Speaker 2: the Orlando Magic and then just overnight, same thing traded
- 30:44Speaker 2: into the Lakers. So yeah, that's, uh.
- 30:49Speaker 1: My sports memory is fuzzy. Was he traded or did
- 30:52Speaker 1: he just? Was that a free agent thing? That's a
- 30:54Speaker 1: long time ago, so I don't remember. That doesn't stand
- 30:58Speaker 1: out to me, So I don't know if that was
- 30:59Speaker 1: necessarily as big of a surprise. I feel like as
- 31:02Speaker 1: an Orlando fan, you you you probably felt lucky to
- 31:05Speaker 1: have Shack for the time that you did, and you
- 31:07Speaker 1: probably didn't feel like you'd have forever anyway, because you
- 31:09Speaker 1: were Orlando.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean I think he was getting a
- 31:15Speaker 2: NBA standards, was getting a little older. Now, that's that's
- 31:17Speaker 2: how they're looking at Some people are saying that about
- 31:19Speaker 2: Luke as well. It's like, well, you know, he's twenty
- 31:21Speaker 2: five now, and I'm like, okay, that's still lucky. He's
- 31:25Speaker 2: he started playing in Dallas when he was nineteen, so
- 31:29Speaker 2: they're like, you know, he's almost twenty six. Ugh, some
- 31:32Speaker 2: of the old guy team the Lakers.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think age was was really a factor
- 31:40Speaker 1: in that. I believe money and physical conditioning or health status,
- 31:45Speaker 1: at least according to the MAVs, that those are those
- 31:47Speaker 1: are their big reasons, and that they felt defense wins championships.
- 31:52Speaker 1: And we'll see the way that the way that the
- 31:54Speaker 1: MAVs get out of this is they've got to win,
- 31:57Speaker 1: baby win. If they win games, this'll be forgiven and
- 32:01Speaker 1: not forgotten, but it will definitely be forgiven.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 32:07Speaker 1: But they need to do they need to do something
- 32:09Speaker 1: on some massive goodwill tour because right now MAVs fans
- 32:13Speaker 1: are angry.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yes, I was stunned. I mean I was completely shocked.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Not me though, because again I'm now used to and
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm kind of numb to my sports teams doing things
- 32:26Speaker 1: to upset me. I assume that the Jones family has
- 32:29Speaker 1: sent a edible arrangement to the Mavericks, thanking them for
- 32:33Speaker 1: kicking them out of the top slot of worst sports
- 32:35Speaker 1: franchise in the city.
- 32:37Speaker 2: My favorite meme was it's a picture of Jerry Jones
- 32:40Speaker 2: and a blue zip up little athletic shirt Maverick general manager.
- 32:51Speaker 1: That would have been pretty interesting if Nico Harrison, the
- 32:53Speaker 1: MAVs gym, came out and said, I don't know what happened.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I was having I was having drinks with Jerry and
- 32:58Speaker 1: I blacked out, and I walk up and he was
- 33:01Speaker 1: zipping up his tracksuit and said, we traded Luca to
- 33:04Speaker 1: the Lakers.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Look at the Lakers tabs on you.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I got cosbied by Jerry Jones.

- 33:58Speaker 1: I'm Dan along with Trey and and Raj right here
- 34:01Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse. Trade you said you have some clarification
- 34:05Speaker 1: on Shack and Orlando and La.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yeah, uh, Orlando did not trade Shack. He was a
- 34:09Speaker 3: free agent and he went to LA. However, the Lakers
- 34:13Speaker 3: traded Shack to the Heat. That was considered a big
- 34:18Speaker 3: blockbuster trade and also in the name of blockbuster trades, Dallas,
- 34:23Speaker 3: remember the herschel Walker trade was the greatest thing that
- 34:25Speaker 3: ever happened to Cowboys. So have a little.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Faith and we were mad about that thing. Yeah, because
- 34:32Speaker 1: because just like the MAVs of today trading herschel Walker
- 34:37Speaker 1: to the Minnesota Vikings for all those draft picks, that
- 34:40Speaker 1: was a massive gut punch to Cowboys fans because he
- 34:43Speaker 1: was a lot of Cowboys fans favorite and only player
- 34:46Speaker 1: they liked. Kind of the same thing with MAVs and
- 34:49Speaker 1: Luca of today generational player as kind of was herschel
- 34:54Speaker 1: Walker favorite MAVs player by far for most MAVs fans
- 34:58Speaker 1: and Luca Donchets, and they traded him. It shocked everyone.
- 35:01Speaker 1: And you're right, Trey, if it works out, like I said,
- 35:04Speaker 1: it's like if they win, all will be uh forgiven.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And I also think that herschel Walker was a
- 35:11Speaker 2: lot of people's favorites because they didn't let him talk.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Uh ever, like he didn't he didn't really talk to
- 35:18Speaker 2: the media much. And and and now you know what
- 35:22Speaker 2: if you saw that, if you saw that run.
- 35:24Speaker 3: I think I think they're playing CT probably has something
- 35:27Speaker 3: to do with him.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Now.
- 35:31Speaker 1: People don't realize that. Uh you know, head injuries are
- 35:37Speaker 1: a two way street. It's like you may you may
- 35:39Speaker 1: lower the boom on the defender, but it can also
- 35:44Speaker 1: knock you silly as well.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Yeah. Because when he started that campaign and
- 35:50Speaker 2: he started talking, I was like, oh, no, don't do that.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Maybe just person that's that's all. Well, yeah, because he
- 36:02Speaker 3: went to Georgia and at the time Georgia, you know,
- 36:05Speaker 3: he didn't go to Georgia for the academics.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Clearly he was not an English major.
- 36:19Speaker 3: All right.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Today is Tuesday, February fourth, twenty twenty five. I know
- 36:23Speaker 1: some people are upset and sad about Luca being traded
- 36:25Speaker 1: away from the Mavericks, But there's always the Houston Rockets
- 36:33Speaker 1: birthdays today, something to celebrate.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Today.
- 36:36Speaker 1: We have Hannah Godwin is thirty. May not know her
- 36:40Speaker 1: by your name, Trey, you might. This is the girl
- 36:43Speaker 1: from the Bachelor that Colton Underwood dumped to chase after
- 36:49Speaker 1: Cassie Randolph, who turns out didn't did not want him.
- 36:54Speaker 1: She later found love on Bachelor in Paradise. By the way,
- 36:57Speaker 1: Colton Underwood of The bachelorler who chased after Cassie Randolph.
- 37:02Speaker 1: The reason why that's kind of timely right now is
- 37:05Speaker 1: because the girl that plays Billy Bob Thornton's daughter in
- 37:10Speaker 1: Land Man is Cassie Randolph's little sister.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Oh. Six Degrees of Colton Underwood a game no one's
- 37:20Speaker 2: ever played. I did once. Okay, yeah, I'm proud to
- 37:24Speaker 2: say I've never seen The Bachelor or the Bachelorette like
- 37:27Speaker 2: any of it.
- 37:28Speaker 3: So I watched one season with Dan and Tara and
- 37:32Speaker 3: and it was entertaining, partly because mostly because of the company,
- 37:37Speaker 3: but it was fun. And then like, I feel that
- 37:40Speaker 3: same way. I have never seen an episode of Survivor
- 37:43Speaker 3: and I'm I am.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I'm here. I couldn't watch The Bachelorette like or The
- 37:47Speaker 2: Bachelor like sober like that I'd have to be Oh
- 37:51Speaker 2: we didn't, ok I was gonna say, have to be
- 37:53Speaker 2: a little tipsy.
- 37:55Speaker 1: No yeah, no, no, no, no no no. This was
- 37:57Speaker 1: this was well before dre Stock. This is well before
- 38:00Speaker 1: tray stop drinking. Oh okay, good, there was red Meat
- 38:03Speaker 1: and Whiskey. That show I'd watch it was. It was
- 38:13Speaker 1: a fun time. Yeah, that's the wrong button. Hang on,
- 38:17Speaker 1: there we go. Other birthdays Today Inside the Treehouse, Comedian
- 38:21Speaker 1: and actor Hannibal Burrs turns forty two. One of my
- 38:25Speaker 1: favorite movie roles of his was as the gym teacher,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and I believe it was Captain America's Civil War. He
- 38:36Speaker 1: was a gym teacher, or maybe it was Spider Man. Yeah,
- 38:38Speaker 1: it was always one of the Spider Man movies where
- 38:41Speaker 1: he's the gym teacher and he's in front of you know,
- 38:44Speaker 1: all the Spider Man characters, including Spider Man, Tom Holland
- 38:47Speaker 1: and everything, and he says, all right, we're gonna watch
- 38:49Speaker 1: this video now with Captain America. And I'm pretty sure
- 38:52Speaker 1: he's like a war criminal now, but whatever, it's curriculum.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 38:57Speaker 1: So, Hannibal Burrs, he turns forty to today. Other birthdays
- 39:01Speaker 1: Today from super Store. Lauren ash is forty two, Gavin
- 39:05Speaker 1: de grau is forty eight, Natalie Imbrulia is fifty Today.
- 39:10Speaker 1: The Big five OZ Natalie and the Australian singer whose
- 39:13Speaker 1: Big hit is torn uh boxer and sometimes cross dresser.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Oscar de la Hoya is fifty two.
- 39:22Speaker 2: What's that part that's scary? A credit?
- 39:31Speaker 1: Sometimes you sometimes you knock us out, and sometimes you
- 39:33Speaker 1: dress like one.
- 39:39Speaker 2: He may be your bitch in the ring, but he
- 39:42Speaker 2: can also be it out of the ring. Right.
- 39:45Speaker 1: No one throws a hoe down better than Oscar de
- 39:47Speaker 1: la Hoya.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Well done. I appreciate that one.
- 39:55Speaker 3: That was good.
- 39:55Speaker 1: This is one of the few boxers who instead of
- 39:57Speaker 1: using tape around his fist, it's lace.

- 40:54Speaker 1: here before we close up for the day. One of
- 40:57Speaker 1: those little tidbits is we just mentioned that it's Oscar
- 41:01Speaker 1: de la Hoya's birthday. And that he's known as a
- 41:04Speaker 1: legendary boxer. He's now crossed over into boxing promoter, but
- 41:08Speaker 1: there was an awkward phase in between where he may
- 41:10Speaker 1: or may not have been a cross dresser. And I'm
- 41:13Speaker 1: talking about the photo that leaked online many years ago
- 41:16Speaker 1: of him wearing boxing boxing gloves and neck to toe
- 41:19Speaker 1: fish nets. Raj, I'm assuming you've seen the photo.
- 41:25Speaker 2: There's multiple pictures of him in women's clothing, by the way.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I remember the one of him in heels. It looks
- 41:33Speaker 1: like a hotel room. I remember the one of him
- 41:35Speaker 1: and heels, wearing a fishnet body suit, heels and boxing gloves.
- 41:40Speaker 1: And his eyes I'm not sure if they look like
- 41:43Speaker 1: he may not be completely sober, or if it was
- 41:46Speaker 1: just a really bright flash that was used in the room.
- 41:51Speaker 1: But in case you need a refresher, here you go.
- 41:53Speaker 1: There's a quick look. And you said you've seen more
- 41:57Speaker 1: photos than this one.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I want to think he's in a white
- 42:01Speaker 2: dress and a wig. Oh he is a bonde wig on.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Was was he doing like a Marilyn Monroe cosplay.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Kind of thing?
- 42:11Speaker 2: No, I think he was just doing feeling pretty his
- 42:15Speaker 2: escort duties for the night. This is when you click
- 42:20Speaker 2: on your when you click on your tender date, that
- 42:22Speaker 2: says bait and switch. Like that's what that's what that
- 42:25Speaker 2: picture looks like. It's like, man, well you don't look
- 42:28Speaker 2: anything like the pictures.
- 42:30Speaker 1: It's interesting though, because Oscar de la Hoya says, uh,
- 42:34Speaker 1: there's more to this story's Oscar de la Hoya says
- 42:39Speaker 1: he was set up in two thousand and seven when
- 42:41Speaker 1: photos of himself dressed in drag surfaced in tabloids. He
- 42:47Speaker 1: was on Shannon Sharp's show Club Shasha a while back,
- 42:53Speaker 1: and he admits he doesn't really remember the impromptu photo shoot,
- 42:58Speaker 1: but he can recall the moments leading up to it,
- 43:00Speaker 1: saying I was drugged up, and he says I didn't
- 43:05Speaker 1: even know it. He explained that he blames a pair
- 43:08Speaker 1: of women for the incident, although he neglected to identify
- 43:11Speaker 1: either one. He said, I was getting with bad people
- 43:14Speaker 1: this and that. Two women come in my room with
- 43:17Speaker 1: a suitcase. That's all I remember. And after that I
- 43:19Speaker 1: wake up the next day, women's clothes, drugs, this, that,
- 43:25Speaker 1: suggesting the woman knew exactly what they were doing. He says,
- 43:28Speaker 1: they set me up. They set me up, but it's okay.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It happened, So what now?
- 43:33Speaker 3: What he needs to say is, did he promise me
- 43:36Speaker 3: they'd never those photos would never get out?
- 43:42Speaker 2: Can somebody photoshop some baby oil in the background, that'd
- 43:46Speaker 2: be great. What did you do last night? Rufie's and
- 43:52Speaker 2: baby oil? You know how it is, man, it happens
- 43:57Speaker 2: to a boxer.
