- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Saturday morning on the crew show reunited with john Chapman after a week off we got a lot to get to let's get to it
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Often we're running on a Saturday, one of the great days to stream and the week is Saturday.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: For sure, we're off and running on the kerch show and we've got John Chattano with us.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're brought to you by paying it up, pay it all, the best barbecue at all.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: Northern California is picking a pickle, check them out there in Emoryville.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're in court of madera.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to leave him or until they run out and they do run out.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: So get there early, get some brisket, get some brisket chili.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Also, the crude shows presented by price picks, America's number one sports picks, app, price picks is super simple.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: You just pick more or less on players, stats or game outcomes, build your lineup, it's available in most states, including this one California.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you haven't checked it out, use code HMA.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: When you play $5, you get $50 in line up instantly.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: We will do a lineup briefly before we get out of here.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: But it's good to see John Chapman, John, come back with us.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Man, doing well.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had to take a little break, family, some stuff, and some travel, and so it went back, excited to be back, because yeah, the 49ers reported it, dude.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: I have to start off with a hat tip.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: So my man, Larry, dude, you crushed those rookie interviews, just bringing out the best of those players.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Every time I heard you ask a question, you just freaking knocked out the ballpark.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: So from the faithful to you, man, I just want to say thank you, man, a plus
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, brother.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, brother.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: And oh, oh, look at that.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: I have added the chime to the repertoire and every now and then I just got a, busted out.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't talked since the draft and this was, you know, people say, you get, you know, sometimes people say to me, Krueg, you're so into the draft is draft like Christmas day to you and I'm like, well, no.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Christmas day is yesterday is rookie mini camp when you drafted your rookies and now you get a chance to see them in your uniform in your colors practicing with your coaches.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so I thought we could start there because I was there yesterday and you know, I looked at my schedule and I'm filling in on KMBR and then I'm like, wait a second, rookie mini camp and I'm like, I'm not, I can't miss rookie mini camp practice.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked the people over at KMBR, I know I'm filling in
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: that, you know, from 1145 to 1245, I can go watch practice for an hour.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I got to credit the people over at KMBR because they're like, hey, yeah, you know, you're our nine-year guy.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: We want you, you know, we want you there watching it, so you have something to say to us.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: So they were cool about it, so it was incredible.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you, my co-worker, thank you Greg Silver.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was out at practice yesterday, watching everybody, and we'll start with the guy that, well, start with Deshawn Stripling,
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's the guy there, but he cares about and on one hand, he's he's strong.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's big body.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: He looks great.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: He says a lot of the the right things, but I also kind of thought he didn't look that great when it came to the, you know, the drills and just in and out of the brakes and the word on him is that he doesn't have a lot of refinement in his short and intermediate route running.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: The drills, it's like, okay, you know, he was doing them and he was doing them the way you want to see him done except slower.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that kind of, you know, it's funny because like somebody else has got a stream up today going 49ers, you know, to Sean struggling impresses at mini camp.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's the talk and now and he was impressive, I guess, but it to me, I mean, he was physically big and he definitely looks, you know, athletic and fast, but as far as the stop and start and all that.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's just it's it's it's it's a little it was a little deliberate that's all I would say a little deliberate it wasn't exactly as explosive as I want to see I want to see if I could show to you
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: He just didn't look as fast as I've seen this drill look where these guys are just you know this is just a warm up drill more than anything just stop and start you can see him.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it'd be a long guy, it's six, two, but slow.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: These are slow and two and out of these breaks.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it's the first day.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to overreact, but that didn't look, he didn't look super, like I saw Antonio Williams doing some of these drills before the draft and he was explosive in these cuts.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what makes Antonio Williams and Tony Williams.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: I forget where he went, but he played at Clemson.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and he's a smart, much smaller receiver than Strippling.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: What do you see here, Johnny?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Do you do?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do you see what I'm saying as far as like, it's like, this is not, this doesn't look full speed to me.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so this is the box three corners drill that, you know, middle schoolers run this concept, whatever, it's so like, this is not where Striplin's going to shine, this is a Ricky Pierce all drill, you know, I mean, like those smaller guys now when when you're coaching this, which I've coach receivers here's what you're teaching, especially early on, you want to hear.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you want to hear and you'll watch him whenever he goes into each one of these breaks.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: You want full cleats, you want to stomp the ground.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: I can hear if you're doing this drill correctly or not.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's not so much about speed and all that stuff.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're working fun in the middle, seeking hips, cleats in the ground, patting the ground.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you want to hear.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's one of those odd, like you can hear if you're doing it right whenever you're coaching out there.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like pop pop pop pop pop pop.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: You want to hear it.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like a track drill.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: Um,
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: But this is not where stripling is going to, he's 63, you know, I mean 200 plus.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: So no pads on all that kind of stuff and you tell me if I if I'm wrong here, but like it seemed like with a lot of the high end.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: draft picks the 49ers the past couple years of rookie minicamp has basically said like look this is a walk through the motions day.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Your time is coming.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, you know, he did even get a lot of the first team reps and all that kind of stuff it's just watching learn.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this isn't where he's going to shine.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think at any point in his career, we're going to look up and say, man, to shine, dribbling, his box drill is off the charts.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not going to be there.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: When the pads come on, and the physicality comes out, and the catch radius, and the fourth, three speed on the top, like again, his brakes aren't going to be great.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: And they never were, even at Oklahoma State, where I would argue he did the most intermediate routes of his college journey, whether the Washington State, Oklahoma State, and then Ole Miss.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oklahoma State where he did most of that mid-tier work and still, I don't think that's ever really going to be a major strength to his gain personally.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm, this is, if you're watching this going, oh, Krueg's pan extremely, no, no, no, I, I like struggling.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: He runs in the four threes.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's got 10 inch hands.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the ability to take the top off the defense and he's a willing blocker.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's lots of traits that are great there.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: 57% of his routes in 2025 that Ole Miss, or hitches or goes.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: And if you watch Jordan Walkets, it was the same day of thing.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's just that Lane Kiffin, you know, Baylor style.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know how you're an Ole Miss fan with that offense, but I bless you, Larry, you're better than me.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: But like that's taken over college football.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the art trials tree and the hybrid air raid.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: All that kind of stuff.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's why one of the things that is a positive of the NIL experience whatever you want to say is man, there is tape of him in different styles and yeah, they hit you to death at Ole Miss I mean just it's a thing, but you've seen him do more elsewhere, even though I would call Oklahoma State a pro style offense by any stretch and you're still traces of Mike Leach up in Washington state so like not none of those are true pro style offenses like what he's going through now.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: But man, there's just so much quality tape and experience on them that it's one of those things that you even heard of in the press conference, you were there like his heads on right man, oh yeah, like very serious very serious case laid back, but he works out hard status marine and he's tall, he's got big hands he can run.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, but once again, you know, you, you know, 57% of the route frequency where hitches are goes partially because as you said, that's what they do at Ole Miss, but also like if you look at his highlight reel, there's not a lot of like, you know, intermediate or underneath, like,
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: double moves or route refinement or, you know, you know, where he's really tying, you know, tying you into into a pretzel and and it's like a really tough cover underneath.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's much more like look at the rack on this guy look at the run after the catch.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: look at the, look at the speed with the ball in his hands, look at his ability, even the biggest play that he made of the season was that last play against Georgia.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was a third and three.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: They were on their own 28 and he was in the, you know, lined up inside and he basically just gave his guy a little shimmy and go and Chambles put it out there.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: But if you look at the, and it was one of the biggest plays of the game because it got them into field goal range, they kicked the field goal that beat Georgia and they knocked him off.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, but it was the refinement on that was just a simple go.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, but if you looked at it, he separated by about three and a half yards, you know, down the field.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: So he was wide open on a simple route.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: So once he does become a little bit more refined in his route running, I think he's going to be good.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: The guy that really stood out to me and that I started with stripping but the guy who really stood out the most to me was Ramelo height and Ramelo height John.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I couldn't I mean, he just looked so phenomenal.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now is he thin?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he's not weak.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's pretty, you know, this guy doesn't have an ounce of any bad weight on him at all.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he really looks good, and, you know, he's a rookie, obviously, they mostly rookies, but there were some older players there too.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, he really was leading the T-line drills, the quickness, the first step is off the charts.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: You really don't get a feel for it unless you're standing right next to him.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he just looked amazing.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he, you know, there was a couple, you know, I listened to Chris and generally during camp.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: They just rocked the music out, so freaking loud,
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: so that you can't hear the coaches, coaching the players.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: But they didn't have it really at the at the low at the rookie minicams so we could hear Chris and Chris was, you know, he dropped more than a few dams on Conner metal height and they were the good dams.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: They were the kind of, you know, there was like damn.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: Damn!
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: That was a hell of a get-off.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: And you can tell that, you know, just from talking to Romelo, what we thought, what we suspected, right?
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: That Chris, you know, went to Texas Tech, big Texas Tech guy, watches Texas Tech, probably only watches two games a week, the Niners in Texas Tech, and he had a relationship with this kid.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so I love this pick because there's
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: that Chris doesn't know what he's watching.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: Chris watches D-Line, he's a D-Line coach, and he watched a very good D-Line in college and it's watched this kid do his thing.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, he just won, it was one practice.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: But man, the bend, the burst, the motor, the dedication to the craft,
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: all the things you want to see like this guy looks like a player.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he doesn't just, he's not just athletic.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's like he was leading the drills and the other guys were kind of tapping him up after each one of his reps. That talent press if he was.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: My first job coaching was scouting and so like, you know, they'd send me with my template and I'd go watch, you know, teams a couple weeks out of this down in Texas, and you know, I'd fill out all the stuff and then I eventually I was training the other coaches to go on scouting and I had a coach asked me once I was like, don't we get the film like why do we have to go like if we have the film why don't we just watch the film and I was like,
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: it's different when you're there.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's different when you're in person.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: It just comes to fruition clear.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what this is.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: It probably one of my favorite things about Ramello Height is, he is falling into the exact same place
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was at Texas Tech.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Arguably the best defensive line in the country at Tech.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: You obviously Dave Bailey went, you know, second overall on your motto, the entire defensive line was drafted.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: But whenever you watch 20, 25 Texas Tech tape, you could pause the tape after two seconds or a second and a half.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: He is a fool yard to yard and a half ahead of David Bailey every single time.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's not better than David Bailey, but in the area of bursts get off, get up the field, GTFO, whatever you want to call it, damn metric,
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's got it in spades, and whenever the 49ers defensive in room, it's not a bad room.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: They just didn't have this.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: You've got four defensive linemen that are quality defensive ants, Nick Bosa obviously.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: He could do pretty much everything you want.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: We kill Williams, Keyon, White, Solid, and they even say them, oh, who they really, really like.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: all of those are kind of your big buck style ends that are runstuffers.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have the elite speed get off guy.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so just allow him to come in and just be, hey, you're just our closer.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to pitch nine innings.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're not doing complete games.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to worry about pool, pin pool, and all this kind of whatever.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, you go out there and you just get
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: the fact that he just gets to come in and play what he does best, which is jump up field.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: And Larry, we've had a lot of 94s.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: I love seeing that damn number.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big numbers guy.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: And we, they all haven't been great.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: But man, seeing 94 is just like, whew, something's 53.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Safe day, I'm gonna go with a linebacker class like a dugger, come on man, you have 53 on.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: My man, Bowman, come on now, you gotta represent now.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: But man, I'm excited about Ramello height.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: He was one of my favorite like fits for the 49ers.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that they were able to trade back and still get them, yeah.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people have said what we might talk a little bit about the draft class and a whole and like it's entirety and the reaches and whatever I don't care how they get into that.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: There are fits and needs at premium positions that the Niners got throughout this draft and I'm excited about this though in the the whole time the draft was going on is like too Larry's got to love this draft class.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Larry's got to love it.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I love you know I love K-lon black I mean because we talked about him quite a bit.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's funny.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: The Ramello height anecdote I'll share with you.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: So buddy of mine, scouts for an AFC team.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so he's got a bunch of I check in with him a couple times a month in the throughout football season.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: He called me the other day and he's like, dude, the Steelers wanted Ramello height in the worst way.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, really he's so fits.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Can I what they do, right?
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's just, you know, the.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: There, there are three, four team and they love the, the, the credible rush bendy rusher, you know, who can play in, in their scheme as a three, four guy, but it's funny because he's not great dropping into coverage.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: That was the downside, but he's like, my buddy, he has a buddy who scouts for the Steelers.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he's pretty low on the pole, but he had, you know, was in that region this year in Sal Ramelo and wrote some reports on Ramelo, he said when the Niners,
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: He kicked all of them that when the Niners took Ramello that he went into the bathroom and broke the mirror.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know for sure.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: I can't verify one way or another, but this is a friend of a friend saying that a Stealer Scout was absolutely
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: determined to get him and broke a mirror when when Ramello went to the Niners.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's a perfect fit for them.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like he is that mold.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying he's TJ.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's more innate, her big.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: But like yeah, he's that guy that teams covet now.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever you have Philly going out and getting all these guys and you have the Steelers going out and getting all these guys like
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: It is, you can throw the seahawks in the rams in there, like this is that mold.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: And the comp, the entire time that I've been using, is biring young for the rams.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, guess who the defensive coordinator for biring young was whenever he was rookie.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's rain Morris.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: So you get this
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: with somebody that knows how to use them.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: J-Lon Walker last year, same thing.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's not J-Lon Walker, but man, you get to use them in that kind of same similar way.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: And he had a lot of success there last year.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just one of those perfect puzzle pieces that just talent, value in the draft, scheme fit, plug a play.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't have it on your roster with the defensive coordinator.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's just check, check, check, check, check.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: So you're really hoping this one pans out.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, so I froze the film right here for a sec because a lot of times people, um, they just see, they don't, they don't, they don't see, they don't even, they don't know sometimes what they're seeing.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now some people, the football practice looks like.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: like like it's all random like okay you two guys get in here you two guys get it you guys are next you got but there's an order to it right there's an order to this and the order is not just anything it's the best guys go first right
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: So, if the last year when the nine or receivers were doing drills, the front of the line was Joanne Jennings and Ricky Piersall, right, because they're the top receivers.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: When the nine ors corners do drills, it's it's demolinore, Renardo Green.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: And if there's a third, it's up to the start.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: The ones, so to speak.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, in the rookie mini camp, you would think, ah, they're all kind of just rookies.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: There is no order.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: But there is an order.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I bring this up because Ramello Height is the best guy here.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why he's going first in this drill, okay?
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, but who's this other guy?
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: You say, well, who's the other guy?
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: This right here is James Thompson.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny, this guy looked phenomenal.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he looked phenomenal in this rep, but there were several reps where Chris Kassaric was like, really impressed.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: This guy at 36 reps at 225, he's enormously strong.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: They paid him almost $300,000 and they guaranteed it.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: So to sign him, six, six, three, oh, five.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: What the hell is that about?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Big dude, who had 36 reps and he, and he also
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: 75, I think, yes, 75, you know, this, that drill is not worth, this is not the drill where he's showing great quickness or strength, because no, he's a lateral quickness guy.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a burst guy.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: So that's second group, by the way, that's this right here is Grace and Halton.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: So he went behind him, even though he's in front of him, and then you've got the end here, I think this kid's from Michigan.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: keep going here.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: We'll let those guys go.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Then you've got this next group, which includes Mikhail Kamara, and that's Bryce Neeson.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: I like Bryce we don't have him on our roster.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have that stout plugger.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's a lot thicker and shorter than guys we got like we don't have that build.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: We got a lot of you know six foot one to 80 guys.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have a lot of six to 330 guys 325 guys.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that there's there's pathways for those undrafted free agents, but this roster Larry's a
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: hell of a lot better than it was last year, depth wise.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even comparable.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be hard to make this roster.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be hard at a lot of spots.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about that for a second.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Let's bust out the depth chart.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the nine or depth chart, and we'll share the screen on this.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: People can take a look.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be suddenly it's going to be very competitive.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just write on down the line.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, supposedly according to Matt Barrow's account of yesterday, he said that that he felt like or more that I guess it was Kubiak Kubiak came out and said, hey, you know, what Curtis for work is looking good.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, um,
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: That, you know, what do you think a Curtis work?
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that right there, I think it's going to be very interesting to see if Curtis work can make this team.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was in this camp because he didn't play last year.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, they really, you know, there's a lot of talk about, you know, their affinity for work.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: Kubex said that work is eligible to play quarterback in the work you minicamp.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that he's, you know, he basically said that work,
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see the quote.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love the arm talent.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's a heck of a thrower.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is Kubiak.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's big.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's strong.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: He can spin it.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: He can step in there and make every throw on the field.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: We have high hopes for him.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're excited for him as a player.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to compete with Martinez for that number three spot.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: But is there Johnny?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: Is there going to be a number three spot?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think they want one.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you don't use the seventh round pick.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, put them on the NFI list, have them stick around for a year, all that, like, because you got to look at the room and in Shanahan and Lynch talk about this all the time.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, when we make these picks, is somebody that can beat somebody out on our roster.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: And, or can they help us in the future?
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: This Mac Jones last year with the Niners, no offense about it.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is it.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: So what's your plan for quarterback to in the future?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: This is a low-cost metric to allow the Canadian rocket.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: to stick around and shoot the third quarterback rule is the shenahan rule.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't more than anybody.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think that there is a place for him.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't even be shocked in I hate to put this out there, but the shenahan specific type injury that gets created to allow him to stay on the roster, even though perhaps nobody saw that injury.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you get a little creative.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's going to be around.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, this is deep roster.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: So if you keep three quarterbacks, are you turning one of the linebackers loose or you turning one of the wide receiver's loose?
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Would you rather keep Curtis work or Jacob County?
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: Would you rather keep Curtis work or should I?
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, Jalen Dugger.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because these are the decisions that are going to have to be made.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be hard, man.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be hard.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't show a lot of steel pictures here, but I'm going to move that off the screen for a second, but one of the things that you stood out yesterday, and you see it in his film, but you really stood out yesterday in the practice field, is the leg strength of K-lon black is off the charts.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: This guy squats 700 pounds.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, benched for 15, those, those are fat numbers here.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Look at, look at this for a small back.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's for small.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: He is, but like he is.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the power.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: Wait room.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's for damn sure.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: Look at the power.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: Those are those are Larry Kruger like thought.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that could squat right next to me.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's, look at those things.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: When you watch this guy in the senior ball, and those carries, where he's moving the pile and carrying the pile, you know, you know, right there, oh, a enormous lake strength.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: You can just see it, enormous lake strength.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same kind of enormous leg strength that you see off Jalen Hurt's, you know, wise Jalen Hurt's so damn good on the Tush push, because he's got enormous leg strength.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Wise K-Lung black, you know, a powerful runner that, you know, hurts to tackle him, because he's got enormous leg strength, and when you squat 700 pounds, you're dedicated in the weight room.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, this to me, we could show some film, but that, look, look at the power in this guy's legs, and you saw it yesterday.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, I think that, what did you think of that pick, by the way?
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was I think I saw live.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think you.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't like it at all, but just the positional value.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like I thought to run a back class was terrible.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's so like I didn't see using a premium pick there, but you got him in a trade back, you know what I mean.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: So like you got him in one of the two tradebacks of stripling.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's it's a bonus pick and it's a fit and I think where he sold the Niners he was the only Indiana player to accept his invitation to the senior bull.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: You remember they played a week before and the national championship he was one of the better players and then he goes down to the senior bull the Niners you have to six out of eight of the players they draft to where the senior bull and half of the you know priority free ages they picked up with senior bull.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: So if you ever want to play for the
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: So the tape is good, it's hard to see him as an eventual Christian McAfrey replacement.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that you look good on routes on air and look at that on it just just on pace Larry you freaking stud you I think this is a lumbarty clip as well shout out lumbarty working is telling off out there yeah he can do it you go back to again you kind of have to do the same thing with the Sean Strippling you don't watch in the annotate of k-lon black you got to go back and watch James Madison take which was he was there were cursing signals well but he was the primary receiving option there
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so you see some of that, but it's mostly flares.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: You get a couple of wills, nothing really extravagant, but I mean, he's running the quick out here, which the Niners do a lot.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: his hands aren't bad, but, you know, not a big target.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't give you a big hard.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing is like how strong he is.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's the smallest back out there.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like people would keep asking, can't you play fullback?
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, God, no, this dude's maxed out at 210.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot add more weight to him.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: This dude's already squatting 500 pounds and whatever else, you know.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: So like sub 30 inch arms and tidy hands, he's just small
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: that's not necessarily bad thing, but when you're small-frained without the wiggle, that's not his game type.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: He says, you remember when they drafted tight-avence price and they said he's a big back with little back feet?
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Kaylin black is the opposite.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's a small back with big back tendencies.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like he runs hard and violent.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: No nonsense.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like he, I don't even want to call
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: the staple that he brings.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: He people just fall off his core strength.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like that and I don't know how to quantify whenever I watch Kaling Black, I think his number one attribute is just core strength.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like when contact happens, it doesn't affect him.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's not trucking people out there like, you know, Derek Henry, that's not what it is.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: He has deceptive speed with his weird strides and upright runner like he has no stride.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: He runs like Matt David when they try to make Matt Damon look like a badass.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like the board identity, but he has like no stride.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: But he moves like he's got decent speed.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: But he's not a strider.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's just a lot of just, it's kind of weird in unorthodox, but it consistently works.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it works against the best, you know, and he showed up in the biggest moments.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot to like, third round super, super rich, but you got it in a tradeback.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, second highest graded back in this class that's crazy to me.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't mean I I'm going to call him Neo because he's going to be the one to break the trend and he's going to be the first Channing hand third round runny back to be successful.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: I like the kid.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: I I'm going to put him behind Jordan James on the depth chart.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I am curious where you think that's going to shake out early on.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think I still see it CMC Jordan James.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Black, but do you see it differently?
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: I see K-Lon Black being a valuable back.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: To me, he's the guy that you go to in the fourth quarter to put the game on ice.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's a better, more powerful version of Elijah Mitchell.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: Elijah Mitchell was that dependable guy.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, I think I wouldn't mind seeing Elijah Mitchell back.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was cut and he wouldn't be a bad option for them.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: But on the back end, yeah.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, I just like a guy who might be able to make the roster, but I like Kaylon Black.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to be when you, you know, the Niners have had the hardest time finishing games on offense.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, why?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: Because they can't, there's no power element.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: to what they do on their line.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's no power element to what they have at the position.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like everything's about speed and elusiveness and receiving ability and their lines about smaller, faster athletic guys who excel on the run.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: OK, but what happens when it's your four minute offense in Europe 10?
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: And you're trying to put the game away.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like you just need two first downs in the game
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this guy is going to, you know, run those same shanty hand buck into the line type runs that are giveaways, except this guy is going to push the pile and you're going to get an extra two or three yards out of it and probably get a first down probably win the game.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I think K-Lun black is going to be a great finisher and I think he should be a great goal line back.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners are terrible in the lows red zone and they got a stop being terrible.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, first goal from the seven.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: is about as exciting as first and go from the three when you're the Ford 49er fan because you're going to that extra four yards there's an opens up shenanigans playbook and you know bag of tricks as far as rub routes and passing options and now it's like the defense doesn't know what to expect when they get to first and go on the three it's like
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're going to run up the middle with your super light offensive lineman.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to stuff them when you're going to run to the edges against us.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: We've got, you know, depending on how fast the team is, Seattle was like, no way.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: You're not doing that.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, to me, I think Kaylon Black is going to get those carries now.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he's going to push the pile and get that first.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: Or yeah, my big I agree with you on all those points and part of the reason why I was upset with the pick has nothing to do with Caleb Black and has to do with Kyle Shattahan and Christian McCaffrey.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: Do you honestly think that Chattahan will ever pull CMC from a goal line package on third and three third and two third and one on the goal line like I think we all agree you should have some variety there, but
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: dude, he's going to will see him see out there with a hobbled whatever, and force feed the hell out of that dude till his career's over sadly.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I love Shenahan, that's a critique, but like, that's my problem.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: You spend all these resources on running back, and it's not so much that they haven't paned out.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: You've had guys.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Basel was awesome.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: but you just would not allow him on the field if Christian McCaffrey was out there and I'm not saying you've been to Christian McCaffrey but you find ways to be innovative in your personnel sets shit and that's my thing like that's where I'm like man you spent this third round pick the only way that this guy's gonna play as if Christian McCaffrey gets hurt and nobody wants that obviously Christian McCaffrey's amazing but
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: it's just that's my problem is like what is this he's 25 years old already as a rookie so are we just waiting for the two-year contracts to end and then he's got to be a 27-year-old third you know third-year rookie contract guy and he's got two-year shelf life and that's it and you kind of move on.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: I question the vision a little bit, but I love the player.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: I love the attitude, the film is as consistent as you could possibly get in the runny back room for this draft class, which I would argue one of the worst running back draft classes I can remember, but I like Katelyn Black.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really do.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: And so I hope that's not what's come across.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: It'd not be a negative towards the player, just the decision making and the value and how they're going to use them.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's my question marks.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, you can bank on our buddy Grant.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: He also put out a clip of K-Lon Black, and here's his clip.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Any still needs work?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: You got tiny arms, man.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Not the best pass, but yeah, that's, yeah, that's it makes me not.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: It is, it is that time where we build our our lineup.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: We will share the screen.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: We will bring prize picks into the into the world here.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: We'll put Johnny and I in the corner.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody puts us in the corner, but we'll put it at the long.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's where I blow, put ourselves in the corner and we'll move this over.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: I would have second, and we just move that up.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always getting in trouble.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we go.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at that.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so we did our prize picks line up and I did it off.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: off onto the side.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: So we do it a little faster, but we'll jump into our price picks lineup for today.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: Price picks is America's number one sports picks app.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: The reason I like it, it's simple.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're just picking more or less on player stats or game outcomes.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: You build your lineup and you're in.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: No complicated stuff.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Just what you think's going to happen in the game.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: Use code HMA, play $5, get $50 in line.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: The link is in the description.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's get into it and basically what I've got I've got a three play $5 power play, three-pick power play for five bucks.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to pay 30 if we win it.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: I got Pooka in the coup.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going NFL futures.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Pooka in the coup, I'm saying less than eight receiving touchdowns.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: I just think they'll diversify the attack.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's also had some problems.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Garrett I think is trying to show everybody that he's still the top dog and I think he's gets 15 sacks probably than at each of the next couple years.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I like Garrett more than 14 and I'm just going under on JSM just because he had the monster year and they're Super Bowl champions and they brought in Jeterian price and
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, maybe they'll try to underutilize him.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be more coverage, more attention to JSN, 1324.5 receiving yards.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: I want under if we go three for three, our $5 turns into $30.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: I like you to prize picks.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: So once again, use code HMA, get $5, or play $5, get $50 instantly, and thanks to prize picks.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: for being a proud sponsor of the crew show.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: We really appreciate them.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: They do a great job.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to prize picks.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Also, before we get back into it, thank you to our other sponsors, Alamar Marina.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: Great sponsor, Alamar Marina.net, float while you die in the Sacramento River.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're at 599 999 Garden Highway.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Go see my man Brandon, they're open Wednesday through Sunday, try the shrimp tacos.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're really excited to work with Alamar Marina and they're a great, great spot to time.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: I buy cars only from Nevada Chevrolet.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: Go see my guy David Corral, voted best car dealership in California by Carfax, family owned for over 50 years, friendly staff, huge selection, great financing options, Bay Area's EV headquarters.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: Once again, go see David Corral.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: and he will take care of you the great David Correll.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: And also thank you to Sharp Corner SportsCards and Collectibles.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Katanya is at 831-521-5264, or you can connect with him via Instagram Sharp Corner's 831 on the Graham.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny, um,
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: Carver Willis, and Enrique Cruz, I thought both looked really good yesterday.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Carver Willis's body is just, you know, he's not the most, he's not one of those guys that's impressive when you look at him, he's at anything, he's a future center.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a personality there, there's a tenaciousness there, there's a, he wants to rub, he wants to bury you in the dirt,
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is the long-term center, but I don't think a lot of people have him slated to be the starting left guard.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see that at all, but I do think he could be the long-term answer at center.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: In Rieke Cruz, I thought looked incredibly athletic.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: He is the opposite of Carver Willis.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: He is impressive to look at, I mean, very, very big and strong and fast and athletic and explosive.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: And you can see there's potential there, but he's raw, and there's no way he's going to play this year, unless he's a blocking tight end and somehow beats out Luke Ferrell for that blocking tight end job, which I think is probably going to happen to be completely honest because
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're trying to develop this kid and my guess is that Ferrell is going to he'll take Ferrell's blocking tight end spot this year So we get to roster spot and then and then, you know, maybe he's the future offensive tackle on the right side.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about left side, but there's a lot of talent there for sure.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think with both these guys and one, I wish they would do the extra offensive alignment.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be ideal in Shani and scheme, but I've never seen them do it.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: I wish you would though, especially this year with Kittle probably not going to be ready week one.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: I do, I'm not going to say what I was about say anyway.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be positive Larry.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be very positive right.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: I saw you guys, you were on draft day when you were streaming, you guys put out your reaction and you just laughed when they
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I like it.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's the first offensive tackle they've taken in five drafts.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: They're the only team in the NFL to say that.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's crazy.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: But these two guys Carver Willis and Enrique, like, I don't think either one of these are play now options.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that's fine.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I love the developmental program, especially whenever you have so many
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: older offensive lineman to establish lineman on your team.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'd love that.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like just let Enrique Cruz learn because he's not ready.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: Let Carver Willis learn because he's not he's never played guard ever.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the biggest issue with Carver Willis's tape is past protection anchor.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like so now you're going to move him to guard which he's never played in the NFL and ask him to play and compete right away at left guard.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think you let him compete but I just I cannot see
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: being better already.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be bad ass.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be amazing.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: But like their play is down the road.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's very similar to Caleb Black.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have to see those picks in the same light.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like these are a long-term backup developmental options and a bad draft that the 49er saw look.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: These guys could be great fits.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're not there now.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: And Ricky Cruz, not there now.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: Carver Willis, not there now.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Black, maybe is now, but not with the roster of the 49ers.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I, and, you know, I did a whole breakdown on Carver Willis yesterday, tape wise.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think?
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: You you fall in love with what he does in the run game.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: His attitude and his character like you you saw you were in the room like yeah, he's a pastor's kid You know country boy like he he's awesome.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's he is awesome.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's a character.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: He is but
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: his past pro is suspect at best and that's at tackle so now you're going to kick him in your hope and that's what did you see because the word that I saw the word that I would use is I his body his body was in anger he was his body lean he just seemed and then I saw him at tackle one huge towards guys he's like under he's got no need
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: And he's already tall is 65 and he's not athletic, right?
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: So like you watch him in the run game and you say, hell, yeah, this is what the 49ers want need past pro is a long-term development of play that he's got to learn.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: And forester is going to get him there, but this is a little bit of a deviation from the Jake Bremdo plan, right?
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: What's Jake Bremdo?
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: Can't run block save his life.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's a get there and just getting the way kind of guy.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: But past protection, that's kind of what he excels at.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love your claim that this is the eventual long-term center play.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's where he belongs.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really do.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's been to, he took snaps of the senior bull.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he's been, you know, he's out there.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's said in the quarterback center exchange, whatever, and, you know, working on those things.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: This is a long-term play.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: So like, this is for the haters out there, they're gonna talk about these two guys being a bust.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: But like, this is a way a couple years and see type of guys.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: Connor Colby was somebody that played guard his entire career and had unlimited snaps in the same scheme.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's made sense for men.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: He could contribute right now.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: Carver Willis is a long-term adaption play.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to have a imagination there.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to take some time.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: I like Carver Willis.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: I like that pick.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I like the Enrique pick.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: These are not contribute early picks on this roster personal.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that is just fine.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a problem with the red shirt philosophy in the back end of the draft.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so these are fourth or fifth round picks.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they should be.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: very similar to Curtis Roark that you get to bring in and eventually compete for those spots, which I think is a good thing.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be me if I didn't go deep, right?
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, come on, you know me, I go deep.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: The night is the paint, guys.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, seriously.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we just throw this one out.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners had some guys in for workout just today and
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they're going to sign any of them.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: One of them was Mason Pline who's back back with one of my leds and right there.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, and he's smart.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's a mechanical engineering major.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's athletic.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's now had some time to get used to the NFL and I'm sure he's going to be, well, I'm not sure of anything.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he might be in camp for them this summer.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Khalil Dinkin's was a great addition, by the way.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you thought of Dinkin's, but
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: the length and the strength and the arms and the blocking ability.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that Khalil Dinkens has the ability to really be a difference maker blocker like a Jamie Williams type blocker.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you could for old nine or fans remember Jamie Williams way, way, way back.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: But the nighters had some other guys in for a workout yesterday and one of them was a guy who was one of
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to share the screen and show you some footage of this kid working out, his name's Casey Osay, and he played at Louisiana, which is the same school that Dougher is coming out of, but he came out of there the year before.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: Here he is working out for the Texans, and you can see some of the athletic traits here.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: this is a really athletic kid and I thought yesterday on the practice field he looked incredibly athletic he was wearing 47th to check the charts but the Niners have always had now I say always in the last five seven years you know they've had just an unbelievable eye for talent at Limebacker yeah
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, you think about a D-winter's six round.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: That was a six round pick.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: Aziz al-Shir was not drafted.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: He just signed for like $50 million.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Drake Greenlaw was a day three pick.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: Fred Warner was a day two pick third round.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Their ability to spot athletic linebackers.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: is really good.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Even some of their guys that they had that they didn't want anymore, you know, the Jonas Griffith, the Marcellino McCreary Balls.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: These guys, these guys stick in the league and other spots.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, still playing.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's still playing.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's a special team's captain, but Casey O size an athlete.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you can see in that in that workout, but he
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: but can really move and it's like, in a field, you know, you're looking at a rookie minicamp, you got to know what you're watching, right?
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: Because a lot of those guys just aren't on NFL players, but man, this guy is, he's an end.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's got an NFL talent for sure.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: So remember that one KCO side, he worked at, you know, we haven't gone done the full comprehensive on the draft, but what did you
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of their draft and also their undrafted guys and we were talking about camp battles and why don't we finish there on on that because we're only going to go for another another five or six minutes.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: But let's take a look at the death chart real quick and just kind of walk through the death chart and give me your thoughts Johnny.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't we start right at the top wide receiver?
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of wide receivers there can be a really, really intense competition.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: In the mini camp, I thought Wesley Grimes kind of showed out a little bit.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's athletic, he's fast, he's got good size.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: How do you see the wide receiver core?
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're not happy with that room.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, you add Mike Evans, Christian Kirk,
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: like
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody safe like Jacob Coward Jordan walkins.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, not like like not safe.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: You got to figure it out.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: There is so much depth there.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: They have overturned that room for the better and I love probably the biggest dramatic Improvement for any position on the team that wide receiver room with what they put out there in the playoffs versus what it is now Unbelievable night and day difference.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: You spent the capital draft and salary cap at man.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna pay dividends
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I really think it's an interesting room.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think the competition's gonna be intense.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing's open.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: Evans, Pierce Hall, and Kirk are gonna be here for sure, dribbling as well.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: Those four guys are gonna be there.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: Box.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: But as far as five and six, it could be de Marcus Robinson.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: It could be Jordan Watkins.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: It could be cowling.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: It could be Marcus Roberts.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Roberts.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: It is good.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, de Marcus Roberts is really good.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: He might be the best fifth wide receiver in the NFL.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know what I mean?
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you could try it.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can try to admit if it's something that the guys emerge, you'll be able to get a seventh round pick at the cut down.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think for Demarchus Robinson, he's too good.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Especially in the red, I don't think the Niners used him the way he should be used.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's a red zone, gray, I who's, you know, it's funny.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: I went up to him in the locker room at the end of the year, and I'm like, hey, man, it's, I haven't talked to you all year.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: I really appreciate your time.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: I go, I gotta be honest, man.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to create ways.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to, you know,
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: rock the boat in any way.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you're not either, but I go, I don't think the Niners have used you the way that your ideally set to be used.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, oh, yeah, I said, yeah, I go, you're awesome on these pick routes and these rub routes on the goal and when you free yourself up, you're a red zone touchdown scoring guy.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's like, absolutely, he's like, he's like, that's what I do, man.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: I run those rub routes inside the five, and it's like, that's what he does.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: And the Niners were so good in the red zone that they didn't even need to Marcus Robinson who's great in the red zone.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I almost kind of would like to see him return and be utilized in the red zone because on the keys, I think he's high level.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can, I think you win a Super Bowl to mark his Robinson because he's that good in the red zone.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you, the guys I'm looking for are Grimes and Pauling.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: and, and, uh, walkins.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I believe in cowings, health, but I'm looking for those three guys who run in the four threes to impact this thing.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's great to talk speed.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's awesome to, you know, put your 90 man camp roster, you know, full of guys with speed.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: But none of it fucking matters if you cut all these guys and go with the slower guys.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like really going to be upon, you know, incumbent on the Niners to pick the right guys here.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: If they, if they say, you know what, Brent Boyer, we love you.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: And here's Junior Bergen, then they're fucked, you know?
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think he has a chance, man.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: I hope I'm wrong, but I hope I'm wrong too, but, you know, he was that gent, Brent was asked about who's going to be the return guy and he's like, oh, there's lots of options and it was like, it just, you could see him having junior burden on the mind and it's like, bro, stop, stop it.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, guys, not NFL.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just not NFL.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_01]: I realized he was your, your sons teammate at Montana.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: Great, invite him over for dinner, but there's no chance he doesn't get a roster spot.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's talk off.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's a line.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: How many, how many line men?
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they take John, you got to keep a, right, you got to keep a list and keep eight, then you're screwed, because you're cutting a draft pick at worst, you're cutting a draft pick.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: So like, do you keep nine and again, back to Curtis work, you want to keep three quarter backs or nine offensive linemen because you're not cutting Carver Willis, he's a fourth round pick.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you cut in Riquecruise a fifth rounder, but still not likely.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so either.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_00]: I believe so too.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: And they cut him a couple times last year and he stuck around.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: But man, he's got some good tape.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's got some good tape.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're, but you were high on Austin pleasant all last year.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: He, he, he shined.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody's going to claim him.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, and I love this.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because you remember last year, we knew what the 53 man roster was.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: By this point, like it was easy, there was no difficult.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's the difference between 2026 and 2025.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is going to be mayhem out there.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: People fighting for spots, because nobody knows.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: So a buddy of mine thinks Robert Jones is going to win the left guard spot, and that he's going to be really good.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see about that.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: Connor Colby, Nick Sequel, Carver will be making this roster, man.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's going to make it.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: I do think he does.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you do.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh, too many.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: I have a tight end, though.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, kiddo, I don't want to see kiddo until November, and then I want to see the Niners pick up either Dawson Knox, Cole Comet, TJ Hawkinson.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: I want to real.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: I want to real tight end.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like Ferrell.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like Willis.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe in Roochie.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you got?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: You got hurt, kiddo.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: You got tanges and you got dinkens.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think they need a TJ Hawkinson.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think they need to, I think they need a significant addition here that speaks loudly the kiddo.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: Take your time, do not rush back.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_01]: The last thing I want to see is George Kittarush back and had some recurrence of that injury and have changed the arc of his entire career.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: Protect the player from himself, protect the player from their idiot plan if that's their plan.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: Go add a real tight end.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't do it in the draft.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: Go get one of these guys that's cut loose on June 1st and don't even
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: make take the pressure off of George to come back.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think it's awful that we're sitting here in May and they, they's George is still like, I'm going to get back for week one.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: They tell you are and it's not that I'm not rooting for it, but I don't, I don't want to, I don't want to risk that guy.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, don't risk George Kittle.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to win in September is like you're gonna need to win late in the year and go find somebody else.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what I wanna see him do and Colk, I'm fine with any of those guys.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: You want Dawson Knox, you want Colk Comet, you want Johnny Smith, you want David Nijoku, you want, I don't care.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_01]: uh, just don't go with George and you need more than Tonga's feral and with what you got.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's the lightest room position room and it's not close on the entire roster.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: I would go safety number two, but I was shocked.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't add a tight end.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then I was, you know, you got Khalil Dinkens in your priority free agent, which I like, but yeah, this room, it's wanting majorly.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: And that's even wickedle back to be honest with you.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody kind of agrees,
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: Any time Kittle was out Luke Feral was the worst player on the roster when he is forced to play next to Kittle, he's a little bit better and you're serviceable, but every time Kittle was out, which was a lot last year, he was the worst.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: You'd see Brock Perti go to his first read, wide open, Luke Feral and Brock's A-up can't throw its stone hands and then take a sack.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: because like, I just don't understand.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_00]: And he's making so much money.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_00]: Surprisingly still in the roster.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: This is the biggest position of weakness, which there's gonna be one in today's NFL and salary cap at what it is.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, go sign somebody, you got the money.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's move quickly to the defense.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love the D line.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look at this.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: You got four lines there.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a hockey team.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the undrafted guys all look good.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: Bryson Easton's powerful.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson is really strong and quick.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: McCail Kamara, you can tell he's just a, he's a russia.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be good.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be fine.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: Even though he didn't like length and traits and this and that, who cares?
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: When the game starts, that guy's good.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: Don't overthink it.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: The guy had 120 was, was 127 pressures.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: He was like that over a two-year span.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: He had a ridiculous number of pressures.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: He was great in 2024.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: They, they used him differently this last year.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: But tomorrow looks great, Thompson, Eason, Hype, Grayson, Holton, Odigy, Zua's been added to this group.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: I came sample here.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got guys like Sebastian Valdez, or getting better CJ West, getting better Alfred Collins, McKell Williams, getting better.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is Chris Kassaric, Chris Kassaric.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: has a group here that he can come at you in waves.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: I still would like to see one more, one more Eddresher in camp if possible, but just because you're leaning on a bosa and he's coming off a knee and he's torn it up before, but other than that, man, they're defensive tackle depth is off the charts.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_00]: They did well, and I mean, this has been the priority position.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_00]: They've spent more resources on the D line than any other position group is not close, and this reflects that.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: The OSA trade, yeah, this is the strength of the team again, and it's what it should be.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is the core philosophy of Shanahan and Lynch, and the roster reflects that in its current state, 100%.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: D line is incredible.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: last couple of thoughts and then we'll bolt your fesians price sock jail and strumming or the two names added in the secondary yeah via the draft strumming actually is pretty good against the run price sock is a big range he tall young kid with lots of rawness but he's got a relationship with the armador of a norr and you know he's got a lot of confidence and a lot of size and a lot of experience too he played 50 college games
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: And then you also have Jane Dugger at Linebacker, give me your thoughts on price-talk, Dugger, Strowman, and what those guys make in tribute.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're all lottery picks with upside and it's kind of fun.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: None of them have to play now.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: None of them do.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: You return the entire corner back room from last year.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: You just get it kind of again, sit and see, let's figure it out.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if one of them shock and surprise and overtake a roll, awesome.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 57:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're not dependent upon any of them for anything.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_00]: However, the upside is there with all three of those.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I'm probably much higher on price stock than I am the other two.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: But I like, I really, I like Strowman, but he's more of what you got.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the box only guy, not a lot of high-end speed, which is why he was a priority for agent.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I like him, but like he's a big nickel at best.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_00]: that's kind of his role, which the United States didn't necessarily replace, maybe net Hobbs Jack Jones could play that role.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_00]: But the depth is there on the back end.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that is what's key.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers roster was able to accomplish so much last year.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: with rookies playing out of, you know, above their pay grade.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now they're returned with those experience and you've added in another eight man rookie draft class with the quality free agent draft class, which he didn't have last year.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so overall the sentiments on this roster is good gosh.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: The depth is there finally.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Everything probably but the safety and tight in position, but across outside of those two,
- 59:06[SPEAKER_00]: Man, um, really excited about this roster.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: They put together.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's been a great offseason.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you could add one piece to this puzzle, what piece would that be?
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: A tie to end David and Joku.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: If I like that be the call, I'd make it.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: Gotcha.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, all right, on our way out the door, the congratulations, um, you know, Johnny's a family guy.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a family guy.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, so anytime there's, uh, new additions to the family, hey, we go that.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations to Christian.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, what does he call?
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there we go.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_01]: I guess we, what does he, I guess we'll stop sharing.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, thank congratulations to Christian and his wife for welcoming their second baby.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: And also we'll hit our supers here quickly.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: We've got Tommy Huxley, he's another year with fake Brenda Bremble.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: We need center.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, we'll get this one from Mr. Corey Robbins, $99.99.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: Can't just stay, can't stay, just wanted to support the channels.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you both for the continuous content.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: Corey's the best, man.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: Corey, you're the man, you're the man.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: 831 Alex, who's the guy to stash in dynasty, James or black?
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, black.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think, what do you think, Johnny?
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: Do you like James?
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_00]: If CFC goes down, I would say James, but
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably black, oh, that's for us.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think, you know, black is going to give you more touchdowns because even if they go with James, I think they're going with black on the goal line.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to hold sure, but you know, if you went with James, just get ready for black to
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: All right, that's going to do for us, Johnny.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_01]: What are you got cooking on your Saturday?
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_01]: You've been traveling, you've been doing stuff, you've got any, yeah, it's a lot of needy.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, for all, we should remind everybody, tomorrow's Mother's Day.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: So right, today is, you know, you get 24 hours, you know, tomorrow you don't have an idea and it's like your jackass.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: If today, you don't have a good idea, hey, get in line, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_01]: you go out there and come up with a good idea and I'm saying this more as an inspiration to myself, we're taking the life to see the new devil wears product movie, me and the kiddo.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what she wanted to do.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_00]: So there we go, that's what we're doing.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God, I wish I had a wife like that.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I have it.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Make me to a movie.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'm getting off easy.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you kidding me.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if you see a sitting behind you in the movie theater, you'll know that I stole your idea.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why are we at this movie?
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: Honey, quiet.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'll hate John.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: I worry.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to see you.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to do it for us.
