  Speaker 1: apply these verses to their lives. And the Lord Jesus

  Speaker 1: Matthew chapter twenty six. We're gonna cover about fifteen verses

  Speaker 1: we're gonna be in Matthew chapter twenty six, like I stated,

  Speaker 1: But we're gonna let the spirit be able to take

  Speaker 1: over majority of this podcast. And I say majority because

  Speaker 2: Some of my two cents in, so to speak.

  Speaker 1: So it's titled some Jewish leaders decided to take hold
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: of Jesus. This is Matthew chapter twenty six, verse one.

  Speaker 1: When Jesus finished saying all these things, he said to

  Speaker 1: his disciples, you know that after two days it will
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: be the time of the Passover festival. Then those people
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: who are against me will put me into the power
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: of the rulers. They will fix me, the son of Man,
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: to a cross to kill me. See it's interesting, right,
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: And This is the first two verses of Matthew chapter
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: twenty six.
• 2:19
  Speaker 2: And Jesus already knows what's coming.

  Speaker 1: And how we can apply these verses to our lives
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: when we are following Christ or believe in Christ, is
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: that we have this intuition right, the Holy Spirit is
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: going to be able to get us out of situations.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: Sometimes We're gonna have to go through situations sometimes and
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: just go through it.
• 2:40
  Speaker 2: I mean, that's life.
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: But what we really want to apply to our lives
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: here is that Jesus.
• 2:47
  Speaker 2: Knew what was coming, and he knew what he was
• 2:49
  Speaker 2: doing it for.
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: He had a purpose, not just dying on a cross,
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: but everything that he did he did for the glory
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: of his father.
• 2:58
  Speaker 2: Now let's get deeper into it.

  Speaker 1: Then the leaders of the priest and the important Jews
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: met together in the house of the most important priest.
• 3:08
  Speaker 2: His name was Chipris. Verse four.

  Speaker 1: They wanted to kill Jesus, but they wanted to take
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: hold of him secretly, so they tried to decide how
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: they could do that. This is very very important right
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: here verse three and verse four is that they wanted
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: to do it secretly, right, So how do you do

  Speaker 1: something secretly? How does the enemy attack us today with
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: the people that we most love, the people that we
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: most love, and they love us, they know the most
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: about us. And a lot of the times, just because
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: somebody loves you doesn't mean that they're loyal to you
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: when it comes to when they're under pressure. That's when
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: you see when somebody's really for you or against you.
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: They cannot be in your way because God makes the way.

  Speaker 1: So let's go a little deeper. And this isn't just relationships,

  Speaker 1: this isn't just friends. This could be colleagues, this could
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: be coworkers. I mean, the list goes on. They decide,

  Speaker 1: they decide. I'm sorry, they said, I'm going kind of
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: off of what The spirit was really ramped up right there.
• 4:21
  Speaker 2: Verse five.
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: They said to each other, we do not want to
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: take hold of him during the Passover festival. If we
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: do that, the people will be angry and they might
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: fight against us. We're gonna we're gonna leave that at that.

  Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna leave that at that. Because that
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: spoke for itself. They were very very secretive there, and
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: they were very They wanted to blind They wanted to
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: blind side Jesus.

  Speaker 2: Jesus knew it was.

  Speaker 1: Coming verse six, and it is titled before then a
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: woman pours expensive oil on Jesus his head, excuse me.

  Speaker 2: Verse six.

  Speaker 1: Then Jesus went to Bethlehem and he visited Simon at
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: his house. At one time, Simon had had.

  Speaker 2: A bad skin disease.

  Speaker 1: While Jesus was eating a meal there, a woman came
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: into the house.

  Speaker 2: She brought a small stone jar with her.
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: The jar contained expensive oil with a very nice smell.

  Speaker 1: She poured the oil over Jesus's head while he sat
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: there Verse eight. Before I get into eight, I'm wondering
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: if Jesus allowed this to happen, you know, like he just.
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: Oh, like a shower. There's my sense of humor. Verse eight.

  Speaker 1: Jesus disciples saw what the woman had done. They became angry,
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: and they said, this woman should not have wasted the oil.
• 5:56
  Speaker 2: Verse nine.
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: She could have sold it for a lot of money.

  Speaker 1: Then she could have then she could have given the
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: money to the poor people.
• 6:07
  Speaker 2: Verse ten. Hmm. I love this already because it starts
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: off with Jesus.

  Speaker 1: Jesus knew what his disciples were saying, so he said
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: to them, do not cause trouble for her. She has
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: done a good thing to me Verse eleven. You will
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: always have poor people with you, but you will not
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: always have me with you.

  Speaker 2: Ooh, ooh ooh.

  Speaker 1: And this is before the Holy Spirit was given to them.

  Speaker 1: The guiter and the helper was not given until Jesus passed.

  Speaker 2: Let me go deeper verse twelve.

  Speaker 1: She has poured oil over my body, so now I
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: will be ready for people to bury me.

  Speaker 2: Verse thirteen.

  Speaker 1: I tell you this, everywhere in the world, people will

  Speaker 1: speak about.
• 6:57
  Speaker 2: This good news.

  Speaker 1: At the same time, they will also tell people about

  Speaker 1: the good thing that this woman has done, and so

  Speaker 1: people will remember her. So for something that to the

  Speaker 1: disciples was a waste, to Jesus, it was not.

  Speaker 2: Jesus knew what was coming. The oil.

  Speaker 1: Was like almost like a preserving right of what was

  Speaker 1: to come. I'm going too deep. I'm going too deep,

  Speaker 1: and this might go over your head. And we're going

  Speaker 1: to talk about how the loyalty right. And forgive me

  Speaker 1: for the siren going by. I'm outside and it's pretty

  Speaker 1: close to the road. I pray who's ever in that
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: ambulance or going to that ambulances they will be healed
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: in Jesus' name. So we all got a Judas, and
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: Judas was the one that portrayed Jesus, oh the Pharisees,

  Speaker 1: exactly where he was going to be, where he was
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: going to be at the time. And why do I
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: say that, because it's titled Jesus Irrigate takes money to
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: give Jesus to the priest Verse fourteen. Jesus Irrigate was
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: one of Jesus's twelve apostles. He went to see the
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: leaders of the priest and he asked them, how much
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: money will you give me if I help you take
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: a hold of Jesus. The priest gave Judas thirty silver coins.

  Speaker 1: Judas sold out for thirty silver coins. And I don't
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: know if we'll get as far into this, but at
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: the end, while they took Jesus, and I want to
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: make this.

  Speaker 1: What really happens when you portray the people that you
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: I mean, I betray.

  Speaker 2: I'm sorry, be you portray.

  Speaker 1: The ones that you love. The guilt and the shame

  Speaker 1: eventually will come on.

  Speaker 1: He sold out Jesus where he was going to be

  Speaker 1: and where he was going to be at what time

  Speaker 1: for thirty silver coins. He ended up hanging himself during

  Speaker 1: this process. After they took him away, and before then
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: he had his coins and he was looking at him.

  Speaker 1: He started dropping them everywhere, all on the ground.

  Speaker 2: Verse sixteen. Judas then waited.

  Speaker 1: For the right moment to help them to take hold

  Speaker 1: of Jesus. She It goes into verse seventeen and it
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: titles something different. So I want to stay on this

  Speaker 1: real quick. I want to stay on this because we're

  Speaker 1: going through verse one through sixteen, right, and we're ten
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: minutes into this episode, and Judas.

  Speaker 2: Was chosen by Jesus. Many are called if you were

  Speaker 2: chosen right. Jesus knows his own he knows your heart.

  Speaker 2: He knows if you're really for him or against him.

  Speaker 2: You can't be in Jesus' way, Sorry, you just can't.

  Speaker 2: No one can. But there's always a butt glory to God.

  Speaker 2: Jesus knew this was coming. And in this scene right.

  Speaker 1: Judas, Jesus allowed Judas to kiss him on the cheek

  Speaker 1: like it was almost like a kiss goodbye, and it

  Speaker 1: was in it's basically Judas was signing his death certificate

  Speaker 1: kid as well, because as soon as he kissed Jesus,

  Speaker 1: that guilt and that shame. Oh I portrayed the one
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: that chose me. He had no other choice but to
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: hang himself.

  Speaker 2: Humph.

  Speaker 1: That that that'll speak volumes to you when you when
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: you turn against God, you're you're going down a road
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: that is massive and is open, but it's leading to destruction.

  Speaker 2: So the narrow path, the light.

  Speaker 1: Is narrow for a reason. I'm getting really deep on
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: this because I've seen the Passion of the Christ and
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: me and my brother both seen it in theaters and

  Speaker 1: it was nice to be able to see it on
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: a big screen and be able to be in the
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: front row. And it's I remember that scene. I remember
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: that scene where Judas.
• 11:57
  Speaker 2: Betrayed Jesus.

  Speaker 1: And Jesus already knew right, but during the Last Supper,
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: Jesus was like, one of you is going to portray me.

  Speaker 1: He didn't call anybody out. What can we take from this?
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: Love thy enemies, right, Love your neighbor as you would
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: love yourself. And there's a lot of action going on
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: tonight outside. I'm sorry for the noise it's gonna be.

  Speaker 1: I have a helicopter above me now. And glory to God.

  Speaker 1: Because after Jesus was crucified, he rose from the dead

  Speaker 1: over five hundred eyewitnesses witnessed him alive before he ascended

  Speaker 1: up to heaven to be at the right hand of

  Speaker 1: his father, to be in his own throne right. And
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: a lot of people may think, oh, Jesus is sitting
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: in a chair and is in his throne. No, he

  Speaker 1: goes there and rest. There's a lot of things to
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: do in heaven. There's jobs in heaven. We bring heaven
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: to earth as believers and followers of Christ, but it
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: is nothing compared to heaven.

  Speaker 2: Earth is actually, hear.

  Speaker 1: Me out, it's not the higher ups in the power
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: of politics that rule this earth. It is Lucifer himself.

  Speaker 1: See he was a fallen angel. He took a third

  Speaker 1: of the angels as well. See what separates us being

  Speaker 1: forgiven and in Lucifer being not forgiven Because some might say, well,

  Speaker 1: why can't God just forgive Lucifer. Well, Lucifer was made,

  Speaker 1: he was an angel, he had wisdom, knew what he knew,

  Speaker 1: and he betrayed God. He thought he was God. So

  Speaker 1: if you ever think that your God, you know it's

  Speaker 1: that's a bold statement to make. I only have forty
