- 0:00What's the topic? We were going to leave this
- 0:04in the past. We were supposed to leave that in
- 0:072025, Angela. You click record on the first episode
- 0:13we were recording in the new year. We had one
- 0:15debut, launch, whatever, on the first, but we
- 0:19obviously didn't record it on the first. The
- 0:21very first words. No, I meant... i was saying
- 0:25that as to like let's get into the topic sure
- 0:28let's start with a moment of silence i said silence
- 0:39you're the only one talking i i hear infrasound
- 0:44oh sure That's what I imagine happens when people
- 0:58use ghost frequency. Are we sure we want to keep
- 1:04all this in? Okay, whatever. That's what I...
- 1:08That's what I... Jesus Christ. Welcome to our
- 1:12podcast, where we take deep dives looking at
- 1:14various topics through a paranormal lens. It's
- 1:19been like two minutes already, and instead of...
- 1:24answering what the topic was in the intro, I
- 1:25think we result in everyone listening to us asking,
- 1:29in unison, what's the topic? Oh, did you want
- 1:34us to say that in unison? No, because you know
- 1:37that scares me when you guys do your Shining
- 1:39Sisters thing. But already in this intro, we
- 1:42had Angela asking what the topic was. We gave
- 1:45it a moment of silence. We... Ben screamed. If
- 1:50that's what you want to call it, it was more
- 1:52like a stroke or something. That's what it looked
- 1:56like. That is what it looked like, honestly.
- 2:00We're talking about the ghost frequency. Or,
- 2:05in scientific terms, infrasound. Or, in specific
- 2:10terms, 18 .9 hertz. That is what is referred
- 2:15to as infrasound, or... uh ghost sound um and
- 2:21it is in relation to like a specific frequency
- 2:26that is either connected with paranormal activity
- 2:30or things of paranormal nature the one thing
- 2:34that i know specifically with infrasound is um
- 2:38bigfoot but we can get into that later what about
- 2:43huh yeah okay okay so we're gonna get into this
- 2:48in a minute because i'm intrigued but first i'm
- 2:51gonna read this like article um just to like
- 2:54get everyone on an understanding because it would
- 2:56be a disservice i think to like ask what is infrasound
- 2:59and just start talking about woo woo bigfoot
- 3:01stuff so let's answer it for the listeners there's
- 3:04this article from 2003 it's actually the article
- 3:07that wikipedia like links in their citations
- 3:09um called infrasound linked to spooky events
- 3:14and it's about these like uk researchers that
- 3:17determined that this low frequency sound that
- 3:22we can't hear with our human ears consciously
- 3:25that we don't know we can hear it but our bodies
- 3:27tend to react to it and they said these researchers
- 3:30i'll just read this quote um from professor richard
- 3:36wise man um so you know he's uh more than just
- 3:40intelligent He's a wise man. He's wise. Very
- 3:45wise. So this wise man, literally, Richard Wise
- 3:49Man, or I'll just read the quote. He said, some
- 3:53scientists have suggested that this level of
- 3:56sound, referring to, you know, 18 .9 hertz, may
- 4:01be present at some allegedly haunted sites and
- 4:04so cause people to have odd sensations that they
- 4:07attribute to a ghost. Our findings support these
- 4:10ideas. saying that this frequency if present
- 4:15at a haunted location or if you hear it you know
- 4:19in a film or something uh you will tend to feel
- 4:23uneasy paranoid a little jittery um feeling of
- 4:29a general unease um a lot of horror movies actually
- 4:33to pump infrasound in in scary scenes to give
- 4:36this like illusion Like, your mind will feel
- 4:40scared before your, like, eyes and ears react
- 4:43to anything on the screen. That's a tangent,
- 4:45though. This article, though, it's literally
- 4:49called Infrasound Linked to Spooky Events. You'd
- 4:53think that's, like, the big, like, thing they
- 4:56want to send you home with. Like, if you're seeing
- 4:59ghosts, it might be infrasound. Like, how crazy
- 5:02is this? This study happened in 2003. This article
- 5:06is reporting on it. It's an NBC News article.
- 5:09It's big news. You'd think it would end with
- 5:13like a bang, like something about that, like
- 5:17about the ghosts, about infrasound, about haunted
- 5:20locations or some dumb pun about ghosts or the
- 5:25wise man that they were speaking to. But no,
- 5:28the last sentence of this article. It's a quote
- 5:35from a different person that they randomly brought
- 5:38into the article. Just to say, quote, so much
- 5:43has been said about infrasound. It's been associated
- 5:46with bad driving. It's so random compared to
- 5:52everything else. They have this whole article
- 5:54about infrasound and ghost sightings and how...
- 6:00The feeling of being watched or like that there's
- 6:03a ghost present at a haunted location could just
- 6:06be this low frequency. And they bring in NPCs
- 6:10like, hey, let's bring this girl in to say, also,
- 6:14fun fact, if the ghosts weren't fun enough, you
- 6:19know, bad drivers might be listening to that
- 6:21infrasound on their car radios. Huh? Huh? Huh?
- 6:24Huh? Anyone? Anyone? And then it's just like.
- 6:27i was just like is that the whole article i was
- 6:30like looking for the rest of it um but no uh
- 6:33it what a lame way to end an article exactly
- 6:37i mean it's a little it's a fun fact but i mean
- 6:40lame as and it doesn't relate to what they were
- 6:43talking about really it's just so random you
- 6:46think like the ghosts i mean maybe it's us like
- 6:49loving the paranormal but like that's like the
- 6:54exciting you don't even need it random quote
- 6:57or anything at the end. That's it. Talk about
- 7:00the ghosts. Ghost sightings linked to this frequency.
- 7:05I don't know. Next time you guys bitch about
- 7:10my driving, I'm just going to say the infrasound.
- 7:12The infrasound. Yeah, that's all I'm going to
- 7:15hear now. Yes, I'm driving bad because of the
- 7:19infrasound. But anyways, that's what infrasound
- 7:23is. Everything. From ghost sightings to bad driving
- 7:28and apparently to Bigfoot. So what's this Bigfoot
- 7:32news you got? Oh, it's literally nothing, like,
- 7:36super crazy. It's just one of the, like, you
- 7:40guys know, and most paranormal people who have
- 7:44some interest in Bigfoot, they know that they
- 7:47make, like, the knocks on trees and they... do
- 7:51the howl sort of things but they also supposedly
- 7:56one of their vocalizations is infrasound like
- 8:01they can they can make infrasound which actually
- 8:04is seen in nature i do believe lions like um
- 8:08when they do their roar it does like hit infrasound
- 8:14like that 18 .5 so it is something that happens
- 8:17in nature a lot of like natural disasters and
- 8:21like predators because we're primed to feel uneasy
- 8:24what were you saying never mind for all the audio
- 8:30listeners that said what were you saying she
- 8:32just like shakes her head in disbelief she's
- 8:34like um no i believe if i might be mistaken that
- 8:38like one of the techniques for Bigfoot hunting
- 8:43is using one of those megaphone amplifiers to
- 8:49detect infrasound because the theory is that
- 8:52Bigfoot is causing it. Specifically in the Americas,
- 9:00I don't believe there's any other predators or
- 9:04things in nature that cause infrasound naturally
- 9:07other than natural. weather and other things,
- 9:13but animalistic. Bad drivers. I don't think the
- 9:19bad drivers cause infrasound. But there's some
- 9:23present. So is infrasound that, this is a tangent,
- 9:29that they're reacting to? Is it something in
- 9:31the vehicle? Is it something in the highway?
- 9:34I think that's what the article was getting at.
- 9:38infrasound from either the car or the radios
- 9:41is what's causing bad driving i see is that not
- 9:47what you got from that yeah that's what i got
- 9:49could the cars be attracting bigfoot then oh
- 9:53my god how many sightings are there of people
- 9:57seeing bigfoot in their cars could they be it
- 9:59could the cars be attracting bigfoot is this
- 10:03why we have so many experiences along the afterlife
- 10:06road Because we're always... Brianna's... Are
- 10:14you okay? Yes. And for a sound... What? It sounds
- 10:21silly, but it makes sense. It does make sense
- 10:24a little bit. I don't think that it does. Whatever.
- 10:34You guys have definitely heard, speaking of Afterlife
- 10:36Road, whatever the hell that is, what's that?
- 10:40I don't know. You guys have definitely heard
- 10:42Infrasound before. Yeah. Well, have I? Yeah.
- 10:49No! Your mom is not happy. I hear your mom, and
- 10:56I said, you've heard Infrasound, and I just hear
- 10:58in distance, no! Yes! That was funny. Can you
- 11:11guess what moment of what something that Crossroads
- 11:20of Curiosities has made utilizes the ghost frequency?
- 11:26Because I've used it before. I'm sorry. I've
- 11:29used it. What are you talking about? You've used
- 11:31it in some of your videos and stuff? Oh. There's
- 11:38one. One in particular. One in particular? One
- 11:40in particular. And you definitely, you've seen
- 11:43it. Would it be the Possession Tapes? Bingo.
- 11:47Okay. I see it. I could see that. Or, I mean,
- 11:52I could hear that. Is that why we were feeling
- 11:55so uneasy while watching it? Yeah. That makes
- 11:58sense. Was it? Yeah. So, that's the thing. I
- 12:02mean, it is like... One, it is like a video that
- 12:07does give an unsettling feeling a little bit
- 12:11throughout. So having, is it because of the video
- 12:15or is it because of the infrasound? I don't know.
- 12:17That's a good question. But that, I didn't know
- 12:20that. No, I didn't. So I discovered like the
- 12:25ghost frequency stuff, like kind of a little
- 12:28bit before. making the possession tape and then
- 12:31when i was watching because for anyone that's
- 12:33unaware the possession tape is a uh 25 minute
- 12:37short film we put out earlier this year that
- 12:40includes the only alleged possession really just
- 12:45an intense channeling session um that we teased
- 12:48for like over a year on the podcast and we finally
- 12:52put it out um so watching back that clip of that
- 12:57the you know, namesake possession or whatever,
- 13:01it's creepy to us because we were there. Yeah.
- 13:06And watching it, I, at least just the raw footage,
- 13:09felt creeped out. But I was, like, wondering,
- 13:14like, would someone who has no idea what they're
- 13:17clicking on feel creeped out? Like, someone who
- 13:20has no idea who we are, would they be like, ooh,
- 13:22that's creepy? Or would they just, like... not
- 13:25know how to react or like find it funny because
- 13:27it's kind of i'm just like you know i'm kind
- 13:30of just like maybe a little bit of tweaking out
- 13:33a little bit um because it's kind of uncanny
- 13:35and uncanny can make you laugh or cry you know
- 13:39um so i was like you know since i just discovered
- 13:42the ghost frequency i i did put some in there
- 13:46during the possession or channeling or whatever
- 13:49you want to call it parts of the film to kind
- 13:53of even if no one picks up on it at least it's
- 13:56just a somewhat of an effort to just like add
- 14:00to the add to like you're supposed to feel creeped
- 14:03out here um to maybe try and capture that but
- 14:08we did screen it at the blood moon parafest and
- 14:11the first time watching it not on just my computer
- 14:16or my tv it did seem like that part was creepier
- 14:22than the rest and the crowd seemed to feel too
- 14:25i don't i don't know what what do you guys think
- 14:28do you think that's a do you think that's a okay
- 14:32thing to do do you think there's any ethical
- 14:35concerns about using ghost frequency because
- 14:39i did that one time i don't that's a good question
- 14:44i feel like no i don't think that it is unethical
- 14:51because if you are using it in a film that is
- 14:55specifically like supposed to be spooky or have
- 14:59that kind of vibe like you're wanting to make
- 15:03your audience uncomfortable they're they are
- 15:06by watching the film they are acknowledging that
- 15:10they want to be spooked or want to be scared
- 15:13or so they're already going into it with the
- 15:15um mindset or like agreement that they want to
- 15:22be scared so having the infrasound i wouldn't
- 15:27think is unethical i would say i think it would
- 15:29just add to the experience yeah yeah i mean like
- 15:34like because no nobody's gonna click on a click
- 15:37on a video that says possession tapes and not
- 15:41expect to be spooked yeah it's not like this
- 15:45is like a video Specifically just for pure evidence,
- 15:50paranormal -wise, it's entertainment. It's a
- 15:53film. It's artsy, you know? Like, it's, you know,
- 15:57it's fine. It's a certain je ne sais quoi. Well,
- 16:01it's supposed to, like, represent reality, like
- 16:03documentaries, so... But still, I mean, you have
- 16:07an artsy form to it still. Right, yeah, I'm just
- 16:09saying it wasn't trying to, like, dupe anyone.
- 16:11It was, like, it's supposed to represent reality,
- 16:13and if reality to us was we're getting creeped
- 16:15out... Mm -hmm. I'm going to make you try to
- 16:18get creeped out. Yeah. But like the way I did
- 16:20it, like when I was editing, I did actually when
- 16:24it was loud. Cause it was funny. Cause like,
- 16:27you know, like the waveforms, you know, you can
- 16:28see waveforms on the computer. I could see the
- 16:32waveforms for this ultrasound, but I couldn't
- 16:34hear anything. Yeah. So I could tell it was playing
- 16:39and I did get a headache like while editing.
- 16:44Interesting. So. Once I got a headache, I turned
- 16:48it down a decibel. And that's how I landed. Did
- 16:51you have it in the whole film or only during
- 16:54like... In and out. In and out, okay. In and
- 16:58out and it got louder and quieter. Okay, yeah.
- 17:03But that's how I determined how loud it put it.
- 17:06It's like once I got a headache, I put it one
- 17:08notch below. So I don't know if it even was still
- 17:11effective at that point. So who knows? Who knows?
- 17:15Have you guys heard anything so far on this recording?
- 17:19No. Have you been playing Infrasound? I have.
- 17:24Is it picking up through the microphone or anything?
- 17:28Yeah, because your mic is probably blocking out
- 17:29the background sound. It might be. I've been
- 17:32holding it up to the mic and making it louder
- 17:34and quieter. I haven't been experiencing anything,
- 17:39but maybe I'm just so focused. Also, you're wearing
- 17:42headphones, so you're probably blocking out the
- 17:44sound. That too. I did think maybe we might get
- 17:48some research. Do other people actually experience
- 17:51it when playing a video on YouTube? So I initially
- 17:56pulled it up to see the YouTube comments, because
- 17:59they do have these big loops of 12 hours of infrasound.
- 18:05Unfortunately, it's... Well, let me just read
- 18:08these comments. The top comment says, I heard
- 18:12children screaming. Then I remembered it was
- 18:14just the ones in my basement. Next comment. I
- 18:17felt so strange. I turned around and found out
- 18:20I was getting stabbed and asked him to politely
- 18:23stop. The next comment. I want this to play in
- 18:29my funeral so people think my dead soul is haunting
- 18:32them. That actually is pretty funny. Next one,
- 18:38I got all excited, seeing as my vision got blurry.
- 18:41Then I realized I forgot to wear my glasses.
- 18:47And then I'll just end on this one. The comments
- 18:49are making me laugh so hard that I completely
- 18:51forgot about that weird shadow looking at me,
- 18:53lol. Oh my god. Oh, that's funny. And we didn't
- 19:01get any comments like that on the Possession
- 19:03Tapes. No, no we didn't. Huh. Yeah. Infrasound
- 19:11is interesting. Like, is it actually creates
- 19:19that? I mean, it's just a sound. It's created
- 19:24by really anything. I'm just thinking about if
- 19:28you're in a haunted location, what things could
- 19:34be emitting that specific sound? They could be
- 19:38putting you off. So basically anything. I mean,
- 19:45a quick Google search says natural events like
- 19:50volcanoes, earthquakes, storms, animals, like
- 19:55Bree was saying, wind turbines can cause them,
- 19:58industrial machinery, rockets. I don't think
- 20:03we're investigating any rocket test sites, but.
- 20:06It's an interesting concept because, like, we
- 20:11can't hear it, but we know it's there. Sometimes,
- 20:15but not all the time. Just like all the listeners
- 20:18that we know you're listening, but you're not
- 20:21leaving five -star reviews. Only the November
- 20:30fans are 20 hertz or higher. Am I right? Yeah.
- 20:37These January fans, you 18 .9 fans, oh my god.
- 20:44No, but do you guys think, because there's rumors,
- 20:47rumors on the dark web. How much time are you
- 20:53spending on the dark web, Ben? Not a lot, but
- 20:57I have to do my research. Some people say. Because
- 21:03a lot of people link infrasound to paranormal
- 21:06reports and ghost activity. And like I said,
- 21:09horror movies. We've even included infrasound
- 21:13in a short film we did. Rumors by bad people
- 21:18on the bad sides of the internet that some popular
- 21:22haunted locations intentionally emit infrasound.
- 21:28So that the location, even if it's not haunted,
- 21:31people leave. Locations makes you feel off and
- 21:35uneasy. Feel like it's haunted and get paranoid.
- 21:37And it remains the top haunted location because
- 21:41everyone that goes there, even if nothing happens,
- 21:44they still walk away feeling like there was a
- 21:49demon caught on camera. Very real. Got possessed.
- 21:53Not clickbait. I got locations I could think
- 21:57of, but I'm not going to say them. Oh, we're
- 21:59not name dropping anything. Oh, well, we don't
- 22:02even know. I'm just thinking of some locations
- 22:05that I wouldn't be surprised if they do that.
- 22:08Yeah, absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised at
- 22:11all. But when you were reading that, no names
- 22:16were dropped or anything, Ben? No. No? No. I
- 22:20was going to ask you off screen. I mean, yeah,
- 22:23ask me off screen. But for the people listening,
- 22:25we don't spread rumors on this podcast. Okay,
- 22:29any final thoughts on infrasound? I think we've
- 22:32said just about everything about infrasound.
- 22:34I probably am going to say that and then think
- 22:37of something in like 10 minutes when we're done.
- 22:39That's fine. Do you think... there's any application
- 22:42i mean i used it once as like an experiment do
- 22:47you think there's ever an application to use
- 22:48it more in the future do you think so no no i
- 22:52do have thoughts on that because you know with
- 22:55with my upcoming project um potentially with
- 22:59daisy your dog infrasound yes um but we will
- 23:06address that more in the future sneak peek um
- 23:10We'll be doing a project in the future. With
- 23:15your dog? With my dog. This is not a dog. This
- 23:18is a cat. All the audio listeners are so confused.
- 23:23They're like... Brianna's holding a cat right
- 23:26now. I was holding my dog. Now I'm holding a
- 23:29cat. Sneak peek. I'm doing a project with my
- 23:32dog. This is not a dog. This is a cat. This is
- 23:37a very visual episode. about something so auditory
- 23:42that you can't even hear it. Aren't you also
- 23:44gonna do it with, um, don't, don't, don't, don't,
- 23:49uh, spoil it. More information to come soon once
- 23:53the weather is, uh, more good. Not wet and cold.
- 23:59Spurting. Yes. But yeah, so I think we do have
- 24:05potential to use infrasound in things in the
- 24:08future. I think it would be interesting to use
- 24:13it if we ever go Bigfoot hunting again, which
- 24:16you never know. We could. Have you guys ever
- 24:18been Bigfoot hunting? Yes, we did go Bigfoot
- 24:21hunting once. I want to do this. Yeah, we did
- 24:25it at Seven Gables and I smacked a tree a couple
- 24:29times. You felt really cool. I really want to
- 24:35do this, but I need to do some research on like,
- 24:39are there a lot of Bigfoot sightings here in
- 24:42Michigan? Yeah, we did 70 Gables Road. Well,
- 24:45are there Bigfoot sightings here? Yeah, you'd
- 24:48be surprised. Everyone goes out to, there's this
- 24:50road nearby where we live. in dansville michigan
- 24:54called seven gables road there's like facebook
- 24:56groups dedicated to it it's like the most allegedly
- 24:58haunted location and we've been out there so
- 25:01many times because it was so close to where we
- 25:04all you know met and started doing this never
- 25:07once had anything paranormal happen out there
- 25:09all the legends are so like exactly it's like
- 25:14the legends are just about like this witch that
- 25:16cursed the road it's all just like nonsense There's
- 25:19no ghosts that we've experienced out there, but
- 25:21this area is. So, I mean, people throw around
- 25:25the term high strangeness often. This is an area
- 25:28of high strangeness. There are more documented
- 25:32UFO, alien, extraterrestrial, and Bigfoot sightings
- 25:37in this area than there are ghost sightings.
- 25:40So, that's interesting. Even the book Weird Michigan,
- 25:45I mean, I used to... get this book from like
- 25:47the library as a kid there is a bigfoot footprint
- 25:50from like two streets down from seven gables
- 25:53road i did not know this in this book yeah so
- 25:57there's a bigfoot out there he's probably hiding
- 25:59out in this in in the in the state you know hunting
- 26:02land out there with it are there any wind turbines
- 26:06out by there weird feelings we no but we did
- 26:16uh i i mean maybe but we did do a couple like
- 26:20public ghost hunts out there like ghost tours
- 26:22to the public and there were a couple bad drivers
- 26:25i think um i took when i was on the board for
- 26:30msu paranormal i took um a group out there to
- 26:35do a bigfoot hunt once and oh hell yeah i don't
- 26:40I think we ended up having anything happen. I
- 26:43think we thought we heard a call back and then
- 26:46we stood there and listened and waited for a
- 26:48while. And then it ended up being like hound
- 26:51dogs that were hunting. Like they got closer
- 26:53and we could hear that it was actual howling
- 26:55and not like Bigfoot howling. Someone, someone
- 26:59messaged me a couple of years ago and they were
- 27:03like, this is actually more than that. This is
- 27:05when we were back in MSU. Yeah. And he was like,
- 27:08Hey. A couple of buddies of mine are going out
- 27:11to Seven Gables. Do you want to come? And I went.
- 27:15As typical, nothing paranormal happened. They
- 27:18were like, oh, bummer. I thought something would
- 27:19happen. I thought we would meet the witch. And
- 27:22then they called out, hey, witch, are you there?
- 27:24And then I said in response, just no context,
- 27:27maybe try calling out to Bigfoot instead. And
- 27:30they looked at me like, what? Huh? No, no, the
- 27:33witch. And I'm like, yeah, we get more Bigfoot
- 27:36activity out here than anything. They're like,
- 27:38what if you had? Out here, Bigfoot -wise, I'm
- 27:40like, we saw some deer. But that's more activity
- 27:44than anything. I looked it up. There are no turbines
- 27:47in that area. No turbines. Okay. So it must be
- 27:52the bad drivers. It must be the bad drivers.
- 27:56You know, I had a friend in high school growing
- 28:00up who was absolutely terrified of wind turbines.
- 28:03And I wonder if it's because they cause infrasound.
- 28:06Well, okay, fun fact. They're very looming. I
- 28:10did a whole paper on, like, a debate paper on
- 28:17wind turbines in one of my college classes. And
- 28:21what was it? I remember talking about that. But
- 28:29the amount of it that it emits isn't enough to
- 28:35really. cause any effect on people okay good
- 28:38to know i love how we're like yeah i think we're
- 28:41done and i think we've continued to talk for
- 28:43another 10 minutes uh should we just cut it here
- 28:48and then pick up part two of infrasound next
- 28:50week we need a part two of infrasound next week
- 28:53you never know we might come across a bunch of
- 28:59new information we want to talk about hey you
- 29:03never know I got a week left before the semester
- 29:07starts. This can be, like, that can be my main
- 29:11topic that I research for this week before I
- 29:14have to start doing my actual school topics.
- 29:17So why, question, why wouldn't you have already
- 29:23researched infrasound before this week? Hold
- 29:28on, hold on. I didn't want to. Don't you know.
- 29:32Don't you know. time is not linear maybe this
- 29:38right now is angela after doing the research
- 29:41and the reason the reason she had to ask what
- 29:46the topic was is because she just came back from
- 29:49the future and wanted to make sure she got the
- 29:52right date oh yes and that's how she verifies
- 29:57every week that she's in the right timeline Because
- 30:02she has to ask, not because she's confused. I'm
- 30:05in the mozzarella timeline. Yes, you're in the
- 30:09mozzarella timeline. I think we're really going
- 30:16off the deep end here, and I think we do need
- 30:19to end this. We haven't even gotten to the brie
- 30:23layer yet. Let's not. No? No. Too many name puns
- 30:30in this one episode? Said a wise man. I don't
- 30:37think there have been enough. That was good.
