Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, if you followed the
- 0:06Speaker 1: Old Gray Lady the New York Times. And by the way,
- 0:09Speaker 1: this isn't a story. Feels like a story that doesn't
- 0:12Speaker 1: fit to print because I haven't seen him printed actually
- 0:14Speaker 1: in the New York Times yet. But the article online
- 0:17Speaker 1: says how Biden ignored warnings and lost Americans faith on immigration.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Let me say that again. This is New York Times.
- 0:28Speaker 1: You're on the woll Up Network, the New York Times
- 0:30Speaker 1: saying how Biden ignored warnings and lost Americans faith in immigration.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And it's interesting because according to York the Fox News,
- 0:41Speaker 1: over a dozen reporters contributed to this story. So my
- 0:47Speaker 1: question is if and also they were talking about the
- 0:51Speaker 1: covering up of Biden's mental facilities. You know, after all
- 0:57Speaker 1: of a sudden and done, It's like, why didn't you
- 0:59Speaker 1: report on this earlier? Come on, It's like they withheld
- 1:02Speaker 1: all this until after the election was said and done.
- 1:06Speaker 1: That too, could be considering influencing an election when you
- 1:10Speaker 1: know that there are mental facilities wrong with the president
- 1:14Speaker 1: and you don't want to report on it during an
- 1:15Speaker 1: election cycle. And now you come out and say, well, hey, Biden,
- 1:21Speaker 1: ignore recommendations and took a dozen reporters. Where was that
- 1:25Speaker 1: energy before twenty twenty four election. We all knew Trump
- 1:31Speaker 1: was gonna beat Kamala anyway. But it's the journalistic integrity
- 1:35Speaker 1: to me that pisces me off. Like, if you know
- 1:38Speaker 1: there were flaws in Biden's immigration policy, why didn't you
- 1:42Speaker 1: talk about it? If you knew there were flaws in
- 1:45Speaker 1: his mental capacities, why didn't you talk about it before
- 1:48Speaker 1: the election? I just it just it feels like journal
- 1:53Speaker 1: some kind of interference as well, and trying to sway
- 1:56Speaker 1: an election before the election actually happened. But anyway, this
- 2:02Speaker 1: happened according to New York Posts who got a better
- 2:04Speaker 1: reporting because I am all freed up of my articles
- 2:08Speaker 1: at the time, so I can't actually read the article.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And I'm not going to subscribe to the Old Gray Lady.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'll add to the subscripient downfall of the Old Gray Lady.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But here's how the time The Post summarized it. President
- 2:22Speaker 1: Joe Biden was worn by advisors as immigration plans could
- 2:25Speaker 1: lead to chaos at the US border, but he ignored them.
- 2:30Speaker 1: According to newly uncovered memos, his team told that advice
- 2:35Speaker 1: to Biden when he was still campaigning against President Trump
- 2:38Speaker 1: in twenty twenty. Biden advisors wrote, listen to this. Ryan
- 2:43Speaker 1: Biden advisor's wrote, a potential surge could create chaos and
- 2:47Speaker 1: a humanitarian crisis, overwhelming processing capacities and imperiling the agenda
- 2:53Speaker 1: of the new administration. So even the Biden advisors knew
- 2:59Speaker 1: there was a problem here with the immigration policies, the
- 3:03Speaker 1: open border policies. I believe there were people who were
- 3:07Speaker 1: right at the front of the border saying, Hey, we're
- 3:09Speaker 1: welcome to here by Joe Biden. That was what the
- 3:12Speaker 1: shirt said. He can't make it up, and it said.
- 3:16Speaker 1: The memo warned that a huge influx was possible, giving
- 3:19Speaker 1: Biden's approach a backlog from the Trump administration and COVID hardships.
- 3:27Speaker 1: His advisors further went on, according to New York Posts,
- 3:30Speaker 1: breaking down the Times article, that Biden could steps that
- 3:35Speaker 1: Biden could take to thwart an influx of illegal immigrants,
- 3:39Speaker 1: including ways who would reject immigration claims more easily, potentially
- 3:43Speaker 1: holding asylum seekers in reception centers until their cases could
- 3:48Speaker 1: be heard, and transferred them to other countries. Biden, however,
- 3:54Speaker 1: opted to ignore the ignored the advice he his policies
- 3:58Speaker 1: advisors continued to urge the HIM industration to crack down
- 4:01Speaker 1: on border crossings and increase border enforcement. Now Here was
- 4:05Speaker 1: the other thing. Did they tell him to appoint Kamala
- 4:09Speaker 1: Harris as the borders are Did they tell him to
- 4:13Speaker 1: do that or did he just do that on his own,
- 4:16Speaker 1: because as far as I know, she made very little
- 4:18Speaker 1: trips to the border, if at all, And we all
- 4:21Speaker 1: know in the back of people's minds that's another reason
- 4:24Speaker 1: she lost. She was supposed to handle immigration and she
- 4:28Speaker 1: let everybody come over as borders are. It was the
- 4:31Speaker 1: most bizarre borders are as. I've said before here on
- 4:34Speaker 1: the onelo up network. This is great. His policy advisors
- 4:40Speaker 1: also floated the idea of the FEDS helping local officials
- 4:44Speaker 1: transport migrants to their ultimate destinations within the US to
- 4:48Speaker 1: use pressure on border towns. And then this is actually
- 4:54Speaker 1: a plan which was similar to what Governor Abbott did
- 4:57Speaker 1: when he ended up running buses to New York, which
- 5:00Speaker 1: is kind of a nephew to New York, I think,
- 5:02Speaker 1: but that's another story for another day. Also, I wish
- 5:06Speaker 1: Mayor Adams had that approach instead of welcoming them in.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Why didn't he send out the immigrants here instead of
- 5:13Speaker 1: overrunning our hotels and everything like that. Send him out.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Do what Martha's Vineyard did. They literally waved goodbye to
- 5:20Speaker 1: the illegal immigrants that were in their town. Yeah, we
- 5:23Speaker 1: accepted them. And I'll say it again, Adams waited until
- 5:28Speaker 1: he got the deal from Trump to do something. That's
- 5:31Speaker 1: where the quid pro quo comes in. He didn't just
- 5:35Speaker 1: say we're gonna take care of it now. No, he
- 5:38Speaker 1: waited for that sweet deal because you know he's a
- 5:42Speaker 1: deal maker. Just ask Turkey. But I digress. What Biden's
- 5:47Speaker 1: policy advisors were telling him makes sense. You bring the
- 5:53Speaker 1: migrants out of these cities and into different parts of
- 5:56Speaker 1: the US, and he just would not listen to them.
- 6:03Speaker 1: The post goes on the right that Biden did end
- 6:09Speaker 1: up using his authority to shut down the border without
- 6:11Speaker 1: Congress toward the tail end of his presidential campaign in
- 6:14Speaker 1: twenty four. So you mean June of twenty twenty four
- 6:17Speaker 1: he shut down the border. I don't remember that. Does
- 6:20Speaker 1: I even remember that? I don't remember that. When it
- 6:23Speaker 1: became clear Congressman n act, Biden took decids of action
- 6:26Speaker 1: on his own a spokesman for Biden told The Times
- 6:30Speaker 1: in a statement, but even his advisors knew it was
- 6:34Speaker 1: a death knell when it came to immigration to just
- 6:37Speaker 1: have open borders and it would look bad politically. Had
- 6:42Speaker 1: to top it off. You name, you name, Kamala Harris,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Your borders are Oh. He did so many things wrong.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And I've really opened up about it because I'm trying
- 6:56Speaker 1: to keep positive here on the one up network, more
- 6:58Speaker 1: about adaptability and excess. But come on that. When the
- 7:03Speaker 1: Times is reporting on something we all knew and finally
- 7:08Speaker 1: admitting that there was a problem, that's a big deal
- 7:11Speaker 1: to me. And that's why I want to bring into
- 7:13Speaker 1: your attention in case you didn't know that. The New
- 7:15Speaker 1: York Times called out Biden, and that is something I
- 7:19Speaker 1: rarely would say in the four years of the Biden vistation.
- 7:21Speaker 1: They called out Biden, and don't you wish they did
- 7:26Speaker 1: it more? There? I saw yesterday on the cover the
- 7:29Speaker 1: Times called out Zelenski and there's fraud. There's rampant fraud
- 7:33Speaker 1: with all the money we gave them. There was a
- 7:37Speaker 1: raid in Ukraine on Zelensky's top age or something like that.
- 7:42Speaker 1: It's just getting worse over there. And at least the
- 7:44Speaker 1: Times is emitting now. But weren't they the ones that said, yeah,
- 7:47Speaker 1: keep funding them. And that's a touchy subject, I know,
- 7:51Speaker 1: But the point is, why is The Times starting to
- 7:53Speaker 1: turn now into maybe some more real news. Maybe they're
- 7:59Speaker 1: going into the real news business. Maybe they are printing
- 8:02Speaker 1: news that's fit to print. Are they afraid of Trump?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Is that what's going on here? Or are they just realizing, Hey,
- 8:08Speaker 1: we can't keep bsing our readers, Our subscriptions are lower,
- 8:13Speaker 1: we can't keep doing this. We have to be upfront
- 8:17Speaker 1: and honest with people. And it's interesting that now it's happening.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But yes, when third twelve reporters talk about and report
- 8:28Speaker 1: on the failures of the Biden administration and the steps
- 8:32Speaker 1: his advisors told him to take that he'd ignored, it's
- 8:37Speaker 1: almost like The Times now picking a guy when he's down,
- 8:40Speaker 1: And we know Biden falls down a lot, so they're
- 8:44Speaker 1: digging him for being eighty three and all that. And
- 8:50Speaker 1: it's just fascinating And I just thought I would share
- 8:53Speaker 1: that with you, that yes, even the New York Times
- 8:55Speaker 1: is becoming real news that's fit to print, and that
- 8:59Speaker 1: is refreshed. And if Trump is getting to that point.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Maybe it might not be a good thing because of
- 9:07Speaker 1: the censorship fear, but also also I think we should
- 9:11Speaker 1: have journalists that want to report on facts and not
- 9:14Speaker 1: withhold information until after an election, like I've seen The
- 9:19Speaker 1: Times due like we've seen other outlets do so good
- 9:24Speaker 1: on The Times for calling it out and saying, yeah,
- 9:27Speaker 1: he ignored steps. I just wish we heard about this
- 9:31Speaker 1: in June of twenty twenty four when he was about
- 9:34Speaker 1: to end his campaign, because I felt that and I
- 9:42Speaker 1: still feel like the White House Kamala, they were trying
- 9:48Speaker 1: to lull everybody into the sense of we'll take care
- 9:50Speaker 1: of it once Biden's done, But clearly America knew differently.
- 9:53Speaker 1: That's why Trump's president. That lulling into the sense of
- 9:58Speaker 1: we'll get it done after Biden. It didn't work. And
- 10:02Speaker 1: these outlets who claim their news outlets added to that lully.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And that's what pisses me off. If you know there's
- 10:09Speaker 1: an issue here, then you report it right away. And
- 10:17Speaker 1: I am not a fan of the NPR and PBS
- 10:21Speaker 1: being taken away millions of dollars in funding. I mean,
- 10:24Speaker 1: they are necessary, but I think it's a point of hey,
- 10:30Speaker 1: report on what's actually going on. Report on it timely,
- 10:33Speaker 1: report on it when you first learn about don't drag
- 10:35Speaker 1: your fee, then we'll give you the money back. Maybe
- 10:39Speaker 1: that's the approach again. I'm again censorship, but I'm also
- 10:44Speaker 1: against outlets parading themselves as real news. When we all
- 10:49Speaker 1: knew Biden's mental capacity was wrong, it didn't take, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: until after the election, after Biden dropped out for anybody
- 10:56Speaker 1: to realize it. Why is The Times coming out with
- 10:59Speaker 1: an article saying, oh, by the way, you needed teleprompters
- 11:02Speaker 1: at all the fundraisers. Did you see that story? I
- 11:05Speaker 1: saw that story. It just it was like, now, you
- 11:07Speaker 1: tell us, great, where was it six months ago? That
- 11:12Speaker 1: to me, when you are on it, when you report
- 11:15Speaker 1: it on the go right away, that is journalistic contector. Anyway,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'll be back later for more on the one look
- 11:24Speaker 1: Up Alex ntwork. I just I get this off my
- 11:25Speaker 1: chest because The Times is reporting real news and that
- 11:32Speaker 1: is why I want to feature them to say on
- 11:34Speaker 1: the one look Up Alex news, they're not getting the
- 11:36Speaker 1: one lug Up Award of the Day though that that
- 11:38Speaker 1: you cannot award someone for delaying news tactics like this,
- 11:43Speaker 1: But you can shut them out and say, hey, good job,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm finally reporting what's going on, and that's what they
- 11:48Speaker 1: did and I'm proud of them for that. On the
- 11:50Speaker 1: One look Up Network
