  fork with Uranus and making that trying to Pluto retrograde an

  Aquarius at 4°. And then on Sunday, June 19th,

  the Moon is going to enter into Libra, which is extra special,

  you guys, because with the Moon entering into Libra, what was
• 2:41
  just a minor grand trine and this astrology basket, now the
• 2:45
  Moon in Libra is making a grand air trine with Pluto and
• 2:48
  Aquarius and Uranus and Gemini. So this is really electric,
• 2:51
  really alive and really supportive energy.

  And also on Sunday the 19th, we're going to have Mars and
• 2:56
  Gemini sextile Saturn and Aries at 14°, which is further
• 2:59
  supportive the development of putting our ideas into motion,
• 3:03
  actually bringing some sort of form.

  It's about taking that first step to make something real.

  And then on Monday, June 20th, with the Moon still waxing

  through Libra, Jupiter and Leo is going to trine Neptune

  retrograde in Aries and oppose Pluto retrograde in Aquarius.

  I'm so excited to actually announce and reveal our first

  special Co host. And Joelle, first, before we

  even jump in, you need to tell the audience about your
• 7:16
  obsession with Tarot, about your relationship with Tarot, and
• 7:19
  maybe just a little bit about where you come from, your
• 7:22
  background, because we both know we're going to be talking about
• 7:25
  that throughout the entire episode today.

  Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be here.

  My love of tarot and my obsession of tarot kind of runs
• 7:33
  alongside of my professional life as a theatre practitioner,
• 7:39
  A producer, an event planner, all of that while I was out in
• 7:44
  the world collaborating with tons of people.
• 7:46
  I had this like secret little treasure of divination tool at
• 7:52
  my disposal that I was just kind of like offering up to friends
• 7:55
  and just practicing overtime. I've been reading Tarot for
• 7:59
  about 15 years. I learned from my aunt who has
• 8:03
  been reading tarot as long as I've been alive.
• 8:06
  So it's kind of this like really beautiful, like feminine passed
• 8:10
  down tradition in our family. And now my daughter is starting
• 8:13
  to learn how to read tarot. So it's just like a really cool
• 8:17
  experience to be able to like have as a through line in our
• 8:20
  family. That's amazing.
• 8:22
  I'm having FOMO, did not have that experience of getting into
• 8:25
  Tarot, I could imagine. So when you were talking about
• 8:27
  your background and collaborative work, were you
• 8:30
  using tarot at work in the background of those creative
• 8:33
  collaborations and literally backstage pulling cards?
• 8:36
  Like how do I handle this bullshit?
• 8:38
  It's funny because like I do have very strong Gemini behind
• 8:41
  the scenes Gemini rules by 12th house and I have a lot of
• 8:44
  placements there. So there is very strong like
• 8:47
  behind the scenes energy with me and managing many things.
• 8:50
  But I think because of my Cancer rising and my Cancer Venus,
• 8:54
  there is this sense of just like wanting to understand people and
• 8:58
  like meet people where they they are with like care and just like
• 9:03
  respect of who they are as human beings.
• 9:05
  And so oftentimes I was using tarot as a tool for
• 9:09
  collaboration with people. When I read for people, I'm not
• 9:13
  like, I'm going to sit here for the next 30 minutes and tell you
• 9:16
  your future. It is very much a like
• 9:18
  conversation that we have and a lot of back and forth because
• 9:23
  oftentimes in tarot, you hear it all the time.
• 9:25
  When you get a reading or when you give a reading, it's like,
• 9:28
  yeah, I knew. I knew that.
• 9:29
  I knew that that was going to be the answer.
• 9:30
  And it's like, because it's something intuitively inside of
• 9:33
  us that we already know. So I really use it as a way to
• 9:36
  like connect with people and help people get out of their own
• 9:39
  way. Yeah, I love that.

  I totally agree with everything you just said.
• 9:43
  And so I'm curious because you are so incredible both with
• 9:48
  astrology and with tarot, How do you work with these together?
• 9:52
  Like what is your process for bringing the tarot into the
• 9:54
  astrology? What's that conversation like
• 9:57
  for you when you're even preparing for this episode
• 9:59
  today? Yeah.
• 10:00
  Well, admittedly I'm fairly new to astrology.
• 10:04
  I always knew what my big three was.
• 10:06
  But like, once the pandemic happened and I had more time on
• 10:09
  my hand and lots of curiosity, I just started delving into it
• 10:13
  more and really, really started to take it seriously over the
• 10:17
  past like year and a half of understanding it.
• 10:19
  And because of my very strong foundation and years of
• 10:25
  experience with tarot, there's so much already just on the
• 10:29
  surface level that's interwoven between tarot and astrology.
• 10:33
  And once you would see it, you can't Unsee it.
• 10:36
  And so that really helped bridge the gap in helping me learn
• 10:40
  astrology not only quicker, but also just, it's like I had
• 10:44
  another language that I could apply to it.
• 10:47
  I do a daily reading every single day.
• 10:50
  I do NUMA full moon readings. I do readings at the beginning
• 10:53
  of the month, the beginning of the year.
• 10:54
  Like I'm constantly doing readings.
• 10:56
  I have a very in depth relationship with my guards.
• 10:59
  But seeing the deckins and seeing how they are all
• 11:02
  individually applied, especially in the minor arcana of our like
• 11:07
  day-to-day, week to week, month to month movements through the
• 11:10
  year. And then even applying the
• 11:13
  planetary energies, those cards on top of it.
• 11:15
  Like it was just layer after layer after layer of just like
• 11:19
  Oh my God so much makes sense. Oh my God, yes, and we're gonna
• 11:23
  we're gonna show some of those layers of cards at the tarot
• 11:26
  that you put together and you have so many beautiful decks
• 11:29
  like Joelle. How many tarot decks do you
• 11:31
  think you have? Do you have account I'm?
• 11:33
  Worried to say on air because it's been my husband.
• 11:36
  It's a problem. Anytime I go somewhere I'm like
• 11:38
  oh I need a new deck. I would say probably I'm sitting
• 11:42
  at probably about fifth decks right now and I specifically
• 11:46
  like to use multiple decks. I rotate throughout the week 4
• 11:50
  decks, like one deck per day just to ensure that if I'm
• 11:54
  getting a cord that's coming up multiple times, I can't blame it
• 11:58
  on like, oh, I didn't shuffle it right or you know, whatever kind
• 12:02
  of excuse you want to put on top of it.
• 12:03
  No, if the Aid of Swords keeps showing up every day in
• 12:07
  multiples, you got a message that's coming to you.
• 12:09
  Yeah, you can't hide from yourself to do that.
• 12:12
  I, I think it was hard almost to like rein ourselves in when we
• 12:15
  were preparing for this because every single deck and the
• 12:18
  visuals, like the art and the imagery, it was so evocative in
• 12:22
  so many different ways. It was like so many light bulbs
• 12:24
  turning on and all these little connections being made.
• 12:26
  So we're going to try to really zone it in today's episode to
• 12:29
  give you the most concise and clear delivery of what the tarot
• 12:33
  and the astrology have spoken to us.
• 12:35
  I guess started open this conversation and I'm really
• 12:38
  excited because it's kind of like Joelle mentioned, we're
• 12:41
  going to do each outer planet and also including Jupiter and
• 12:45
  soon to be the sun entering into Leo.
• 12:48
  And we're going to talk about the layers of tarot that are
• 12:52
  implicated. So the deacons, like you said,
• 12:55
  we also have the card associated with the planet involved and
• 12:58
  then the card for that Zodiac sign.
• 13:00
  And we're going to start with the planet that we've been
• 13:04
  sitting with the longest. So we've been with Pluto and
• 13:06
  Aquarius since March of 2023. This is not a new energy.
• 13:10
  And Pluto's also going to be around the longest.
• 13:13
  So the note that Pluto is ringing and this tuning fork is
• 13:16
  going to play out all the way through 2044, which is a
• 13:18
  reminder that we are not in a rush to get anything perfected
• 13:22
  in this moment. This is just about getting
• 13:23
  started, guys. So that's going to be really
• 13:26
  fun. We're going to do that in the
• 13:27
  order of the planets, starting with Pluto moving on to Neptune,
• 13:30
  then you're honest and ending with Jupiter and Leo.
• 13:32
  And so just before we jump into that, I will ask if there was
• 13:36
  like 1 headline that you could give to what the tarot is saying
• 13:39
  about this astrology basket, what would it be?
• 13:42
  I would say we are not arriving anywhere yet.
• 13:47
  Like we're weaving together a basket that is going to carry us
• 13:53
  to where we're wanting to go. But in order to do that, you
• 13:56
  have to get up, get out of your own way.
• 13:59
  You have to show up in the arena and not let the world let the
• 14:03
  world hand back to you exactly what it is that you give to it.
• 14:07
  It's a very mutual exchange that's happening here.
• 14:11
  I love that. It's like we have to weave the
• 14:14
  basket, which feels like a sitting down get to work, but
• 14:17
  it's also like, no, no, no, you weave this basket by getting out
• 14:20
  of your house and out of your head and out of your way and
• 14:23
  actually getting into action and engagement and collaboration.
• 14:26
  So yeah, guys, you got to weave the basket by actually doing
• 14:29
  something. That's why I'm here.
• 14:30
  Yeah, especially because there's so much noise right now in
• 14:35
  regards to this specific transit and just everything in our
• 14:39
  lives. It's very noisy right now and I
• 14:42
  don't want people to look at this and be like the basket.
• 14:45
  It's the biggest thing that we're living through and it's
• 14:47
  going to solve all my problems. It could potentially, but you
• 14:51
  have to actually engage in it. You actually have to pick up
• 14:55
  your weaving tool and get involved.
• 14:58
  Yes. And so when they listen today as
• 15:00
  we go through the planets, they're all weaving together,
• 15:02
  We're making this basket, they're all working together.
• 15:04
  But it might be good to kind of listen for which of the planets
• 15:08
  and the themes that we talk about maybe hit a sharper note
• 15:11
  for kind of saying something a little bit louder to you or
• 15:14
  asking and inviting you to listen a little bit more because
• 15:17
  you can't miss a planet. We have to weave all of them.
• 15:19
  And so kind of pay attention, like feel into that.
• 15:22
  Where am I resisting? What's feeling easier to step
• 15:25
  into or play with? And then hopefully by the end of
• 15:27
  it, we can weave it all together in a way that feels really
• 15:30
  exciting for everybody and encouraging carry.
• 15:32
  Us off to our new future in the. Mask and we're all just going to
• 15:36
  be in these like hot air balloon baskets floating to our destiny.
• 15:40
  I love it all right, I'm so stoked.

  Let's just jump in if you're ready.
• 15:42
  Let's go into our first one. We've got Pseudo and Aquarius.
• 15:45
  Kick us off, Joel. Show us what we got.
• 15:47
  Yeah. You know, if we're thinking
• 15:49
  about tones and the striking the tuning fork, I feel like this is
• 15:53
  a very low, deep hum that's in the background that's been
• 15:57
  around for a very long time, kind of ominous sounding a
• 16:00
  little bit like unnerving, but knowing that it's there and we
• 16:04
  can't avoid it anymore. So fives typically represent
• 16:09
  change through adversity. After we have come through this
• 16:13
  stability of the fours, the fives offer challenges from
• 16:17
  their specific elemental modality.
• 16:19
  In this case, Swords is associated with Air Aquarius.
• 16:23
  We can apply the same types of rules to air in the Tarot as we
• 16:28
  do to astrology. Air is typically going to be
• 16:31
  tied to communication or thoughts exchanges and the
• 16:34
  duality of choices. The first deck in Aquarius is
• 16:38
  the Five of Swords, and it speaks to what we kind of
• 16:41
  collectively have been experiencing a lot lately,
• 16:44
  especially since Jupiter and Saturn went through this deck in
• 16:48
  in recent years. So we see on the card a man in
• 16:52
  the foreground looking smug after some sort of battle where
• 16:56
  the apparent losers retreat to the background crying and
• 17:00
  despondent. The winner has all 5 swords and
• 17:03
  can't even hold all of them, and the card is literally known as
• 17:07
  the card of defeat and empty victory.
• 17:10
  The things that we associate with the Five of Swords would be
• 17:13
  winning at all cost, being a sore loser, cancel culture,
• 17:18
  weaponizing information, blaming revenge, US versus them.
• 17:28
  Mentalities, distancing yourself in defeat, winner takes all and
• 17:32
  leaves everybody else out in the cold.
• 17:35
  But then when you add Pluto into the mix, that is where we see
• 17:40
  this dynamic start to change. The judgment card is associated
• 17:44
  with Pluto and it acts in a very similar way energetically, and
• 17:48
  we can really see that in the art.
• 17:50
  In the traditional writer Wade Smith deck there are people
• 17:53
  being from their slumbering graves answering the call from
• 17:57
  something much bigger than themselves.
• 17:59
  They are transformed from death into rebirth.
• 18:03
  They are changing and it's because it's the second to last
• 18:07
  card of the Major Arcana. This is almost like a final
• 18:11
  examination before we can reach the completion of the World card
• 18:16
  and judgment. In this specific 5 of Swords
• 18:19
  deck in is asking us to re evaluate how we have been
• 18:23
  engaging with others, especially that we disagree with.
• 18:26
  We may not see eye on things with people, but the judgment
• 18:30
  card has been telling us that in order to actually see the change
• 18:35
  we want to see in our lives and in the world, we need to change
• 18:38
  our approach. Because winner takes all.
• 18:42
  Chastisement and weaponization of boundaries typically gets you
• 18:46
  one place and that's alone. You can't build anything when
• 18:51
  you're by yourself. But what's really beautiful
• 18:53
  about this is these two things are happening in Aquarius, and
• 18:57
  Aquarius is ruled by the star card.
• 18:59
  It's really thought about as having hope in humanity.
• 19:03
  In the Major Arcana, the star card follows the tower card, and
• 19:07
  when that shows up in someone's reading, they're like, Oh my
• 19:09
  God, freaking out about the tower card.
• 19:11
  It's something that typically brings shocking and forceful
• 19:15
  change into our lives. But what follows is the star,
• 19:19
  and it's a person who is at peace with themselves, pouring
• 19:24
  water into the world freely and knowing what they give, it will
• 19:28
  give back to that. It's almost as if it's the
• 19:31
  promised hope at the end of a very dark tunnel.
• 19:34
  So kind of synthesizing all of this together like Pluto is the
• 19:38
  slowest moving but deepest transformation to these cards.
• 19:42
  Energy. We're going to be called to re
• 19:45
  evaluate and choose a new path when it comes to the Five of
• 19:49
  Swords. And even eventually later on in
• 19:51
  the further deckins, the Six of Swords and the Seven of Swords.
• 19:54
  This is going to be with us for a while, but this is what is
• 19:58
  going to help us transcend to the ideals of the Star Card and
• 20:03
  ultimately for it to be our North Star, no pun intended.
• 20:07
  So I think what the Tarot is asking and this Five of Swords
• 20:10
  is for us to all kind of take a step back and ask ourselves
• 20:13
  where have we been engaging in a battle or fighting for something
• 20:18
  in a way that we need to just maybe admit the fight is over or
• 20:21
  to change and redirect our energy of conviction.
• 20:24
  Because I remember that word was coming through really strongly
• 20:25
  when we were talking to where the shadow side of conviction is
• 20:28
  witting at all costs. But now what would a platonic of
• 20:32
  evolution of our relationship with conviction and our use of
• 20:36
  that energy look like? And how do we do that together?
• 20:39
  So how do you see the Five of Swords speaking to this
• 20:42
  alchemization of that toxic conviction and the power
• 20:45
  struggles into something we can use and work with together,
• 20:49
  collectively? Small groups, big groups, big
• 20:51
  communities, whatever. Well, the judgment card is
• 20:54
  definitely asking us to slow down.
• 20:57
  Pluto is the slowest moving planet.
• 21:00
  So it's like slow down in our thoughts, slow down in our
• 21:03
  reactions to things and ultimately put yourself in the
• 21:07
  position of somebody else and understand.
• 21:10

  And so I love that. I think this leads us perfectly

  into Uranus weaving together. We're starting to really open

  we're inspired about. We're letting go of the idea

  And the deckins in Gemini, when you look at the cards, they're

  the ones that everybody's always scared of.

  It's the 8-9 and ten of Swords. But once you start to understand

  how there is so much self limitation and transformation

  available within those sword suits, you're actually able to

  work with it. But for this first deck in the 8

  of Swords is a woman, and she appears to be blindfolded and

  surrounded by 8 swords, and there's a looming castle in the

  background where she's trapped and bound by her arms and is

  just in a barren wasteland. But if you look closer at the

  card, you'll see that the ties around her are really loose and

  her legs are free, and the swords don't actually fully
• 38:06
  enclose her and no one is seemingly around watching her.

  So she had full agency to move. She just has to choose to do it.

  So being ruled by air, like the Five of Swords, the aid of

  swords is also tied to thoughts, words, and the information that

  we take in. But this time it's based off of

  what convinces us that we're trapped when we're actually free

  to move. The card is about the stories

  that we tell ourselves, the bad faith narratives.

  Often not even true, or oftentimes it's also fear of

  something that's so deep it keeps us stuck.

  especially with each other, but also with our child who is a

  soon to be high schooler. And he will often remind us of

  the acronym for fear. It stands for false evidence

  whatever story is playing out in your head, it's just that a

  story and you are free to move forward in your reality that you

  prison, mental traps, anxiety over thing, victim mentalities

  opportunity from the energy of the planet and the card that

  The fool is connected to Uranus and it basically is liberation,

  trusting the universe that it's going to catch you, freedom to

  exist without worldly worries. Basically, the image is just a

  young figure who's walking along with barely anything.

  Like they just have a little tiny bag and they're going on a

  loyal dog who oftentimes is interpreted as instinct or.

  waiting in line, like doing the thing.

  But it's like we're all a part of this collaborative ecosystem

  that supports these small businesses, that supports this

  community, that gives back to the community.

  And and that is something that I feel like we've been missing for

  a really long time. And what a thing that you need

  to take to a farmers market, A basket.

  I mean, also it's like just because there's a farmers market

  stand that sells hummus, just because there's the one hummus

  stand, that doesn't mean that the other person in the

  community that has a passion for making hummus and makes their

  own ingredients and their own recipes is like, oh, I guess I

  can't go. I won't apply to have a booth at
• 57:50
  the forest market. There's already hummus there.

  And I think that's part of this whole dismantling of the old

  systems and narratives as well is like, no, there's room for
• 57:58
  everybody because nobody makes your hummus.

  And just because there's two hummus booths, there's going to

  be people that love 1 booth versus the other booth.

  Maybe you share recipes, maybe you find a way to do something

  collaborative together. And there's all these

  cohesively aimed towards the same goal, which is just like
