- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:08Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes seven thirty six through seven thirty eight,
- 0:17Speaker 1: sending a shockwave, The Worst Generation goes into Action, the
- 0:22Speaker 1: birth of the Legend, the adventures of the Revolutionary Warrior,
- 0:26Speaker 1: Sabo and the Brothers Bond, the untold story behind Lufi
- 0:32Speaker 1: and Sabo's reunion. In these episodes, we get lots of
- 0:38Speaker 1: Sabo info here, and I really was a little sorry
- 0:43Speaker 1: to see him sail off into the sunset. Well fly off,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I guess, but I'm hoping that we see him sooner
- 0:50Speaker 1: rather than later. Welcome to spoil Me. Welcome to the
- 1:12Speaker 1: show everyone.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I am Natasha, Hello, and I'm Florian.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Florian is here everybody. Yay, welcome back, Welcome back. So
- 1:24Speaker 1: why did you choose this episode?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Well, in general, because it's like the end of the arc,
- 1:31Speaker 2: like we have some episodes left there still on the island.
- 1:35Speaker 2: But I felt like I was there in the beginning
- 1:38Speaker 2: and now I wanted to make a check in, and
- 1:40Speaker 2: I also like sample.
- 1:43Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know. I feel like
- 1:47Speaker 1: I had mentioned this on a previous episode, but I'm
- 1:49Speaker 1: going to mention it again just because this is such
- 1:51Speaker 1: a Sambo heavy group of episodes. But I went to
- 1:56Speaker 1: the One Piece pop up restaurant in Austin in like
- 2:01Speaker 1: late May or April or something, can't even remember, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: my friend, while I was like on the road with him,
- 2:08Speaker 1: said something about how they have been cosplaying Sabo a lot,
- 2:14Speaker 1: and I had only just found out that Sabo was
- 2:20Speaker 1: still alive the previous recording, so I was just like,
- 2:26Speaker 1: thank god I had watched that beforehand, because I really
- 2:30Speaker 1: did think Sabo was dead. I took it for granted
- 2:33Speaker 1: that Sabo was dead, and I don't know if I
- 2:36Speaker 1: ever mentioned any suspicion that he was still alive, but
- 2:39Speaker 1: it was like, if I ever mentioned it, it had
- 2:43Speaker 1: been a sort of well, you never know, we never
- 2:46Speaker 1: saw a body, you never know. But I really did
- 2:48Speaker 1: accept it. I didn't think he was still alive. So
- 2:50Speaker 1: I am so relieved that I had at least gotten
- 2:53Speaker 1: there for this recording before they brought him up to me,
- 2:58Speaker 1: because I would have been so pissed to find out
- 3:00Speaker 1: that way. And the one thing about this group of
- 3:06Speaker 1: episodes that I found very funny is that his involvement
- 3:10Speaker 1: with the Revolutionary Army, it never even entered my mind
- 3:15Speaker 1: that he would know Lufy's dad. I don't know why
- 3:20Speaker 1: it didn't occur to me, like Dragon is the Revolutionary Army.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I should have known, you know, like never even entered
- 3:31Speaker 1: my mind, not one time.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, but they would say, it's like it's still like
- 3:35Speaker 2: the biggest well not the biggest, but the organization that
- 3:39Speaker 2: we know the least about.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, probably m bear.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But yeah, no, I I like, I'm gonna be honest,
- 3:50Speaker 2: I am thinking he was dead as well. But it
- 3:54Speaker 2: happened in a flashback, and usually when it happens in
- 3:56Speaker 2: a flashback, they're actually bad.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's true that I think that's what it was.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but but this time I really like it. I'm
- 4:06Speaker 2: just gonna say right now, first time watching this Eye
- 4:11Speaker 2: kind of was like, like, how do I say that
- 4:15Speaker 2: stand in for Ace? You know, like basically mmm, But
- 4:22Speaker 2: he's his own character and has his own things going on,
- 4:25Speaker 2: you know, like and actually now even in these two episodes,
- 4:30Speaker 2: his character is different from Aces. Like Ace was way
- 4:34Speaker 2: more hot headed, I would say, and he is a
- 4:39Speaker 2: little bit more well I would not say cal, but it's.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Just I wouldn't say. He doesn't seem like motivated by
- 4:46Speaker 1: anger as much as as did. He was a really
- 4:49Speaker 1: angry guy, and he got more control over that later
- 4:54Speaker 1: on in his life. As a kid, he was real
- 4:56Speaker 1: pissed all the time. But but I think that that
- 5:02Speaker 1: still was like a major thing for him. Yeah, that's
- 5:08Speaker 1: a really good point about the like is he a
- 5:15Speaker 1: substitute for Ace? That I didn't really think of as
- 5:19Speaker 1: being a concern, but I could see how in a
- 5:23Speaker 1: different like, if he were handled differently, it would definitely
- 5:27Speaker 1: feel that way because having him turn up right as
- 5:31Speaker 1: Ace dies, not really right as but you know, like it,
- 5:37Speaker 1: it definitely could feel kind of cheap. But I really
- 5:41Speaker 1: didn't feel that way at all. I was like relieved
- 5:44Speaker 1: because it seemed like Ace, you know, Lufy had these
- 5:48Speaker 1: two brothers and both of them are dead. That fucking sucks,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know, so Sambo turning up alive instead of it
- 5:54Speaker 1: feeling cheap, I was just like, thank god Lufy's got
- 5:58Speaker 1: somebody still from his like old childhood, because otherwise I
- 6:04Speaker 1: just felt sorry for him, even though I know that
- 6:07Speaker 1: he probably wouldn't have seen it that way. He's got
- 6:11Speaker 1: he's come to terms with Sabo's death since then, But
- 6:14Speaker 1: it was just there's something about when a person dies
- 6:22Speaker 1: wanting someone who knew them around to talk about them with,
- 6:28Speaker 1: and like Lufy didn't really have anybody like that. His
- 6:31Speaker 1: crew had met Ace a couple times, but like briefly
- 6:35Speaker 1: and not really gotten to know him very well. And
- 6:40Speaker 1: not that Lufy is somebody who sits down and like
- 6:42Speaker 1: has vulnerable conversations about grief or anything really, but it
- 6:49Speaker 1: is nice to know that there's somebody out there who
- 6:51Speaker 1: remembers Ace the way that Lufy remembers him. You know.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I really liked I mean jumping to the
- 7:01Speaker 2: almost the end, but I like when they met in
- 7:04Speaker 2: the Colosseum and like we before did not see the
- 7:07Speaker 2: scene like we like how we played out. We just
- 7:10Speaker 2: saw that Sabo was there and then he cut away.
- 7:14Speaker 2: This time we kind of see their conversation and it
- 7:18Speaker 2: made me TV eyed. I'm gonna be honest, it really
- 7:21Speaker 2: was like how Lovie is sorry that he couldn't save
- 7:25Speaker 2: As and saboys just like, dude, I'm just so happy
- 7:28Speaker 2: that you're still alive, Like, and I'm sorry that I
- 7:31Speaker 2: was not there, you know, Like it is so bittersweet.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I was really because like when the conversation happens between
- 7:43Speaker 1: the two of them, like, we see the moment that
- 7:46Speaker 1: Sabo pops up and Lufy is just like, you're not
- 7:50Speaker 1: my brother, but I couldn't. As the conversation goes on,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I was like, wait, we didn't see this part, right, No, no,
- 7:57Speaker 1: we didn't see this. It took me a moment to
- 7:59Speaker 1: remember because I think it's a time when he pops
- 8:04Speaker 1: up and then we don't follow up. I was like,
- 8:06Speaker 1: why don't we get to see what's going on with Sabo?
- 8:08Speaker 1: And then so many other things happen and I just forgot,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you know, But I'm kind of glad I forgot, because
- 8:15Speaker 1: I think I had been annoyed at having to wait
- 8:17Speaker 1: this long to see Lufy's reaction to him. But okay, okay,
- 8:23Speaker 1: so let's let's back up and talk about the seven
- 8:27Speaker 1: thirty six sending a shock wave the Worst Generation goes
- 8:30Speaker 1: into action. Remind me, I know that Saraphim informed me,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and I don't remember what the Worst Generation thing is
- 8:37Speaker 1: because Saraphim like told me, and I don't think. I
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think it was like I should remember, but I don't,
- 8:45Speaker 1: and so it went right out of my head once again.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the Worst Generation is like it's not an official
- 8:53Speaker 2: official title. But they just keep calling it that. It
- 8:57Speaker 2: is kind of Loofy solo and like all these pirates
- 9:02Speaker 2: that were at Suba ODI when Loofy punched the celestial directon,
- 9:06Speaker 2: there was like a whole bunch and they were like
- 9:11Speaker 2: all the new rookies who were like really promising and
- 9:15Speaker 2: apparently the worst generation because they make the most trouble.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Like Law is also a part of that.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so it's not everybody like within like ten
- 9:32Speaker 1: years of Lufy's age group.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Pretty much about that. I would more like to say
- 9:38Speaker 2: maybe like even two or three, Like it's not even
- 9:40Speaker 2: ten years because Cavendish, for example, is not one of
- 9:44Speaker 2: them because Kevendish is like, no, he would be an
- 9:48Speaker 2: older generation and so he's mad at them because they're
- 9:51Speaker 2: stealing the spotlight from him.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Before it was I thought he was like around the
- 9:55Speaker 1: same age as Zoro, but Zoro just gives like very
- 9:58Speaker 1: old man vibes too, So that's also part of it,
- 10:02Speaker 1: just how grumpy he is with everything all the time.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not like definite, like there's no metric
- 10:09Speaker 2: to it. Really, it's just like right title.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, so that I like this the grouping them
- 10:20Speaker 1: this way I'll have to sort of keep track of
- 10:21Speaker 1: like who is part of this mentally, but yeah, this
- 10:27Speaker 1: episode is like mostly well, I won't say mostly, but
- 10:33Speaker 1: I will say in large part focusing in on everybody
- 10:39Speaker 1: who got fucked over by do Flamingo getting taken out,
- 10:46Speaker 1: a lot of people who had deals with him, who
- 10:49Speaker 1: were getting their weapons from him, or who were going
- 10:52Speaker 1: to be getting those like manufactured fruits. Yeah, and it
- 11:04Speaker 1: has resulted in a lot of them being It's a
- 11:09Speaker 1: very Scooby Doo sort of reaction where it's like, and
- 11:12Speaker 1: we would have gone away with it too if it
- 11:14Speaker 1: weren't for you meddling kids. They're just basically looking at
- 11:20Speaker 1: Loofy and his cohorts as the monkey in the works.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Is that the way you say that the monkey wrench,
- 11:29Speaker 1: the wrench in the works. I think it's a wrench
- 11:32Speaker 1: in the works, the wrench in the.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Works, or monkey's paul. I know that one, but that's
- 11:37Speaker 2: something different, the monkey's paw.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Maybe it's monkey on their back that I'm thinking of,
- 11:41Speaker 1: But that doesn't work either, because monkey on your back
- 11:43Speaker 1: usually refers to like addiction. Never mind, I I the
- 11:48Speaker 1: defense rests, but you get what I'm talking about.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I know it is like a big part of this,
- 11:54Speaker 2: and yeah, no, they have like a target on their
- 11:57Speaker 2: back now even more not only by Kai, about by
- 12:01Speaker 2: a lot of other people as well.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm really into this, Like this got me very excited
- 12:08Speaker 1: because the whole thing this thus far has just been
- 12:13Speaker 1: that Loofy and his crew have become well known enough
- 12:19Speaker 1: that when they run into people who know who they are,
- 12:22Speaker 1: those people have been like, well, I want to take
- 12:25Speaker 1: down this dude because he's got an overinflated reputation or
- 12:28Speaker 1: he thinks he's a big shot, and I just want
- 12:30Speaker 1: to prove that he isn't. And that motivation is fine
- 12:34Speaker 1: and well, but it does sort of get weak after
- 12:38Speaker 1: you've done it like thirty times. And now all of
- 12:42Speaker 1: these different pirates being like you ruined the trade agreement
- 12:48Speaker 1: that I had that kept me ruling over this whole island.
- 12:52Speaker 1: That is a very very legit beef. To have this
- 12:55Speaker 1: feels like something, you know. Yeah, so I'm extremely down
- 13:02Speaker 1: with this turn of events, and I feel like it
- 13:05Speaker 1: could be the gift that keeps on giving for a
- 13:07Speaker 1: long time, and I would I would be fine with that. Sorry.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Bernadette is in the chat saying but what about Big
- 13:18Speaker 1: Beg a beij b e g E. I'm not sure
- 13:21Speaker 1: this is isn't the generation more about the time they
- 13:23Speaker 1: became a pirate, which is why they're the worst generation,
- 13:26Speaker 1: because it's so many troublemakers at the same time. That
- 13:33Speaker 1: would make sense to me. Yeah, I thought that was what.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I don't know what Big Bege is.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Though it's it's one of the pirates. We see him
- 13:42Speaker 2: briefly in these episodes. But yeah, it's more, it's not
- 13:45Speaker 2: about the age, like I think she says that because
- 13:47Speaker 2: before you said something Sorow and Kevendish being the same age.
- 13:51Speaker 2: But it's not about the age at all. It is like,
- 13:53Speaker 2: at what point did you become a pirate?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Gotcha? Okay, I see, I see. Oh, And Bernadette says
- 14:03Speaker 1: something about having joined the discord about the middle name discussion. Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 1: I miss that. I'm sorry. I just apologizes to everybody
- 14:10Speaker 1: who like the middle name thing works for I'm not
- 14:15Speaker 1: trying to be shitty, but I just don't, you know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: But I don't you know what I think, Bernadette. Maybe
- 14:22Speaker 1: I did see that was it a little while ago,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and it was about how with like Japanese naming conventions,
- 14:26Speaker 1: the middle name is different because I feel like it
- 14:30Speaker 1: was something that the explanation actually worked, and I was like, okay,
- 14:34Speaker 1: So I just only it's been you know, a couple
- 14:37Speaker 1: of weeks since my last recording, so it's been a while.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Bernadette says, yes, okay, right, right right. I'm sorry. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: don't remember the details of it, but I remember reading
- 14:47Speaker 1: it and being like, ah, okay, because it just otherwise
- 14:50Speaker 1: just was not making sense to me.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Anyway. I don't know, I have not seen it, sorry, Bonadet.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And I had like a lot of studying going on
- 15:02Speaker 2: the past week.
- 15:03Speaker 1: So yeah, it's been a very packed May for a
- 15:09Speaker 1: lot of people. I don't know what's going on astrologically,
- 15:12Speaker 1: but I know my mother would be like Taurus is
- 15:15Speaker 1: trying Capricorn or something like that. Oh my god. I'm
- 15:20Speaker 1: so sorry, Florian. But just really briefly, I want to
- 15:23Speaker 1: do an aside here to talk about the Chopper reveal
- 15:28Speaker 1: of action. Just briefly.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Really, I just remembered it.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I don't hate it, but I don't love it. But
- 15:37Speaker 1: I also they are saying it's not going to be
- 15:39Speaker 1: out until June of next year, which means to me
- 15:42Speaker 1: that probably the Chopper that we saw wasn't even fully finished.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'm guessing by the time we see him for real,
- 15:49Speaker 1: he's gonna look a little bit different still. And I
- 15:57Speaker 1: was also I kind of expected it to be the
- 15:59Speaker 1: same voice actor. I don't know why. I just thought
- 16:02Speaker 1: they would, you know what I mean. It's not a
- 16:07Speaker 1: bad thing to choose, but I didn't realize that. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: was just expecting it until he spoke and I was like,
- 16:14Speaker 1: what what is this? I think his voice is probably
- 16:18Speaker 1: much more appropriate for live action than the voice actor
- 16:22Speaker 1: would be for live.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Action, Yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah, but maybe
- 16:27Speaker 2: the voice actor, like for the enimey. I mean, there
- 16:30Speaker 2: are a voice actor, so I guess they can change
- 16:32Speaker 2: up their voice. But I'm happy with it. Again, it's
- 16:39Speaker 2: not perfect, but it could have been so much worse,
- 16:42Speaker 2: so I'm also okay with it, like more on the
- 16:45Speaker 2: good side, honestly. So Yeah, I just hope that they
- 16:52Speaker 2: that he does not get like the what its ghost
- 16:56Speaker 2: treatment in Deeper Rons, but they cannot do that with Jopper.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Oh, where he's like barely on screen because of the
- 17:05Speaker 1: price of rendering him. Yeah, no, I get what you.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Mean, but they can that's I mean.
- 17:12Speaker 1: They could, but I really, yeah, I also hope that
- 17:15Speaker 1: they don't. I kind of wanted him to be a
- 17:20Speaker 1: little cutesier. He's like longer and narrower than I expected,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and not as like like round and toddler, like you
- 17:32Speaker 1: know what I mean. He looks almost more like an
- 17:33Speaker 1: adolescent when kids start to grow faster than their body
- 17:37Speaker 1: can almost keep up with and so they get like
- 17:41Speaker 1: weirdly gangly. He sort of looks like he's in that stage.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But this is all very much like nitpicking. Overall, I
- 17:51Speaker 1: think he looks so much better than he could have.
- 17:56Speaker 1: They could have done a lot wrong with Chopper. This
- 17:58Speaker 1: was a difficult thing to have to rend like, yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you know, I wouldn't have been mad if they decided
- 18:04Speaker 1: to do like a full on puppet. I think that
- 18:06Speaker 1: would have been kind of cool. But you know, but anyway,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I just wanted to mention it because it got It
- 18:13Speaker 1: was a big deal. Florian was keeping me in the
- 18:16Speaker 1: loop of it dropping because I don't follow the pages
- 18:19Speaker 1: for this stuff because I don't want to get spoiled.
- 18:21Speaker 1: They'll post on any official pages, I'll forget that I'm
- 18:26Speaker 1: following them, and then when a season drops, I don't
- 18:29Speaker 1: get to watch things as they air, but they'll post
- 18:31Speaker 1: about the latest episode and I'll accidentally see it. So
- 18:36Speaker 1: I just don't follow anything just out of an abundance
- 18:39Speaker 1: of caution. So I need Florian to keep me apprized
- 18:44Speaker 1: of the developments that happen.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I will, all right.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So returning to this, I was talking about all of
- 18:56Speaker 1: the other pirates who got their shit interfere with. We
- 19:00Speaker 1: also get a little bit more here with the apology
- 19:06Speaker 1: on behalf of the Marines from uh thank you. I
- 19:12Speaker 1: always I get everybody's names messed up. Fujita also goes
- 19:17Speaker 1: by something else though, what's the other name that people
- 19:19Speaker 1: call him? Doesn'ty? That's it? That's it, Yes, thank you,
- 19:26Speaker 1: And I think that's why I get confused sometimes. The
- 19:33Speaker 1: last recording that I did, he like he had apologized
- 19:36Speaker 1: within that episode, and I kind of was like shitty
- 19:39Speaker 1: because I was just pissy about the world and an
- 19:43Speaker 1: apology being feeling like very thanks for fucking nothing. But
- 19:49Speaker 1: this episode really makes it clear what an effect, a
- 19:53Speaker 1: real material effect, his apology has on everything. So I
- 20:00Speaker 1: appreciated that. How did you feel, like, did you have
- 20:05Speaker 1: the same reaction as me at the beginning with the
- 20:08Speaker 1: with the apology or were you like cheering for him
- 20:15Speaker 1: the same way that Saraphim was.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I was, I don't know, like I honestly cannot remember,
- 20:24Speaker 2: so I would say it was kind of like indifferent,
- 20:26Speaker 2: probably because I was just more were not more interested,
- 20:30Speaker 2: But I was just like, where does this go? You know,
- 20:33Speaker 2: like kind of I like the move, but we did
- 20:36Speaker 2: actually do something. You know, we see and we see
- 20:39Speaker 2: some ripples here, definitely, as you said, like we see
- 20:42Speaker 2: some Okay, now this has an effect. But is it
- 20:47Speaker 2: just like I don't know, a one time scandal and
- 20:49Speaker 2: then everybody just moves on with their lives or with
- 20:52Speaker 2: this actually changed something? And I mean you have to
- 20:55Speaker 2: wait and see. I guess it's a it.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Like what actually it accomplishes? Will it remains to be seen.
- 21:08Speaker 1: But the fact that the powers that be seemed genuinely
- 21:12Speaker 1: pissed off at him for apologizing, I feel like that's
- 21:18Speaker 1: the thing I like that points to something will come
- 21:22Speaker 1: of this, or they wouldn't be so mad about it,
- 21:25Speaker 1: which isn't necessarily true, but it like, you know, it's
- 21:30Speaker 1: it's me giving the benefit of the doubt a little
- 21:33Speaker 1: bit here because he pushes back a lot more the
- 21:37Speaker 1: reason that I was so shitty is because lip service
- 21:42Speaker 1: to the correct side of a cause, especially after the fact,
- 21:47Speaker 1: is just the way so many governments choose to operate.
- 21:50Speaker 1: They try and pretend they were on the right side
- 21:52Speaker 1: of things from the beginning when there's just so much,
- 21:55Speaker 1: like verifiable evidence that they were the baddies, and they
- 22:00Speaker 1: now want to not acknowledge that, especially like the United
- 22:03Speaker 1: States is particularly head in the sand about our complicity
- 22:10Speaker 1: regarding any sort of oppression. So it's a hot button
- 22:14Speaker 1: issue for somebody like me who has become more aware
- 22:19Speaker 1: over the past decade of how full of shit we
- 22:22Speaker 1: are pretending to support causes when it's like you actually
- 22:26Speaker 1: went and tried to frame civil rights leaders for things
- 22:30Speaker 1: and got them executed, and now you're trying to act
- 22:34Speaker 1: like we're celebrating Martin Luther King Day. Get the fuck
- 22:37Speaker 1: out of here, you know, But when we actually see
- 22:41Speaker 1: him on the phone with a kau thank you, the
- 22:49Speaker 1: fireball man, the very angry fireball man. Yes, a Kayanu
- 22:59Speaker 1: is fucking heated over this pun intended, And it's basically
- 23:09Speaker 1: like you made us look really fucking bad, and we
- 23:13Speaker 1: lost a ton of credibility and Fujiitura is like, if
- 23:18Speaker 1: you're worried about credibility, how about you do the right
- 23:21Speaker 1: fucking thing. There's an idea about you do the thing
- 23:25Speaker 1: that you want to take credit for. How about that?
- 23:30Speaker 1: And uh Akahnu, he is the establishment, like that dude
- 23:36Speaker 1: is the status quo, and he does not appreciate this
- 23:39Speaker 1: at all. So for me, seeing the way that Fujitura
- 23:43Speaker 1: spoke to Akahnu made me go, Okay, this is more
- 23:48Speaker 1: than just lip service trying to make a public statement
- 23:52Speaker 1: for the sake of optics. He's trying to make a
- 23:55Speaker 1: public statement so that they can't get out of it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And we wind up seeing the conversation that he had
- 24:03Speaker 1: with Smoker where the Marines took credit for how Crocodile
- 24:10Speaker 1: was taken down when actually it was the straw hats,
- 24:13Speaker 1: and Smoker is like, this whole system that we've got
- 24:17Speaker 1: in place is garbage, and those dudes came in and
- 24:21Speaker 1: saved everybody, and then the Marines wanted to act like
- 24:23Speaker 1: they hadn't let that whole bullshit happen. It's nonsense, And
- 24:29Speaker 1: so Fujitura is like, Okay, we'll find a way to
- 24:32Speaker 1: like make sure that's not how it happens next time.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So with all this backstory added into it, much much
- 24:40Speaker 1: more satisfying.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, no, I like we just see a little
- 24:45Speaker 2: bit of Smoker and Tashii as well. Yeah, and they're
- 24:51Speaker 2: like on the way to wake up Punk with the kids,
- 24:55Speaker 2: and I just like it because I don't know, like
- 24:58Speaker 2: Smoker SEMs to have a lot of friends in the marine,
- 25:02Speaker 2: like people listen to him, like the Eye Sky as well,
- 25:07Speaker 2: like in the past said that they were friends, and
- 25:11Speaker 2: I mean he saved him, like now Kusan Cusan, That's
- 25:16Speaker 2: what I'm talking about. And also he No, I like,
- 25:19Speaker 2: Smoker has like some friends even though he is not
- 25:24Speaker 2: agreeable with how things are done, and I just kind
- 25:28Speaker 2: of love it, you know, like like I feel like
- 25:30Speaker 2: he's the one that stirs things up and everybody in
- 25:33Speaker 2: the background is like yeah, m hmm, like he's like.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he's He's one of those people that he's got
- 25:42Speaker 1: like this weird charisma, despite the fact that he does
- 25:46Speaker 1: not try to cultivate that at all. It's like a
- 25:49Speaker 1: charisma despite himself. He's so ornery and and silent so
- 25:56Speaker 1: much of the time, but he's got such like competent
- 26:00Speaker 1: and presence that people are just like, this guy's onto something. Yeah,
- 26:05Speaker 1: and I just keep like, I really enjoy Smoker, and
- 26:08Speaker 1: I'm glad that he's still been like in the mix,
- 26:12Speaker 1: but I want him to be more of a part
- 26:13Speaker 1: of things even still than he has been, because I
- 26:17Speaker 1: find him he's just very compelling. Ta Shigi being the
- 26:23Speaker 1: one that has to look after the kids. I'm side
- 26:25Speaker 1: eyeing you so hard for this soda. Oh my god,
- 26:27Speaker 1: of course, but uh, at the very least, I'm glad
- 26:33Speaker 1: that we got a check in with them as well,
- 26:35Speaker 1: see how the kids are doing all that stuff. Oh
- 26:39Speaker 1: and Bernandane the chat says Smoker is super authentic, which
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think is why he is so liked. I think
- 26:45Speaker 1: you're right that people to a degree, people can sense that.
- 26:51Speaker 1: I say to a degree because our current president would
- 26:55Speaker 1: really be lie my point. But I think what I
- 26:58Speaker 1: mean is more about in person, when you are directly
- 27:02Speaker 1: under somebody's command or you meet somebody, you can get
- 27:05Speaker 1: a better sense of them. And I think that he
- 27:08Speaker 1: is so no nonsense and to like, when you're the
- 27:15Speaker 1: Marines are like very much nonsense a lot of the time.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, so.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's probably refreshing to some of these dudes to find
- 27:24Speaker 1: another guy who is just like no artifice, no bullshit
- 27:30Speaker 1: I'm doing. I think my job is about yeah exactly,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm just scrubbing through this episode to see anything else.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Is what did you want to talk about next?
- 27:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like not a thing that we get,
- 27:46Speaker 2: Like the cutaway is like the worst generation. I don't know,
- 27:49Speaker 2: but for me, it's like at sixteen minutes or something.
- 27:52Speaker 2: But I don't know how it's on your end. But
- 27:56Speaker 2: we see like Bonnie, like truly Bonnie, she's like the
- 28:00Speaker 2: pink her girl, and she can't change her age and
- 28:03Speaker 2: the age of other people like we saw that before,
- 28:06Speaker 2: which still is like I feel like it's a great power,
- 28:11Speaker 2: like a weird combat power.
- 28:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I had forgotten that this was a thing, and it
- 28:16Speaker 1: took me. Like they give you very helpfully, the little
- 28:19Speaker 1: banner at the bottom to tell you who everybody is.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Because Bonnie's always eating is also another thing with her. Yeah,
- 28:26Speaker 1: but yeah, she never felt exactly like she was friends
- 28:34Speaker 1: with the straw hats, but she never felt like somebody
- 28:36Speaker 1: who was out there trying to fuck with them too much.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And she seems admiring of them. She's looking at the
- 28:41Speaker 1: news updates and it's just like, no shit, good for
- 28:44Speaker 1: you guys. It's kind of delightful.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And then we have oh, I never know how
- 28:52Speaker 2: to say his name, A ruth. I fel like the
- 28:55Speaker 2: monk kind of guy who is on the sky Island.
- 29:00Speaker 1: This was so weird. Yeah, will you please describe the
- 29:05Speaker 1: scene for our listeners, because I feel like there's a
- 29:09Speaker 1: dude who turns up towards the end of it and
- 29:11Speaker 1: it's a yeah, there's the whole vibe is weird.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Yeah, first of all, like we see like the clouds,
- 29:21Speaker 2: it's not Skybead, it's not the island that the straw
- 29:24Speaker 2: has been on. And he's just chilling there surrounded by
- 29:29Speaker 2: I don't know, girls who tend to his wounds. I
- 29:32Speaker 2: don't know.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I guess I'm not sure what's happening here? Is it
- 29:36Speaker 1: like are they massaging? Is it? I don't know?
- 29:40Speaker 2: M hm. And basically he comes and he like cruise crew,
- 29:49Speaker 2: the people of his group came and they are like
- 29:51Speaker 2: screaming the monster here or something, and this huge shadow
- 29:56Speaker 2: is like stumping toward them from the they're from far away,
- 30:02Speaker 2: and then it cuts away and I think that's all
- 30:05Speaker 2: we get.
- 30:06Speaker 1: He tries to say something like trust me, it's just
- 30:08Speaker 1: a bird, and I was like, sir, can you please
- 30:11Speaker 1: open your fucking eyes and sit up and take take
- 30:15Speaker 1: notice of what is happening here? I implore you. But yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 1: I don't know. Are we supposed to know who it
- 30:22Speaker 1: is that's coming at him?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Not really, I'm gonna tell you. We will, Like now
- 30:30Speaker 2: we get in a transition kind of moment, like oftentimes
- 30:34Speaker 2: between the islands, we get like check ins, and we
- 30:37Speaker 2: will have like some more check ins with the worst
- 30:40Speaker 2: generations as well, you know, like to kind of see
- 30:44Speaker 2: where what they are up to at the times. And yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 2: but for right now, we don't know.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Okay, who else do we stop in and see? I'm
- 30:57Speaker 1: scrolling through this now.
- 30:59Speaker 2: One. Yeah, Captain Kid, this is like the three pirates
- 31:05Speaker 2: who came together and also made an alliance. Captain Kid,
- 31:11Speaker 2: Basil Hawkins, the tarot card guy I don't know if
- 31:14Speaker 2: you remember him.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Yes, with the lines under his eyes, and then that
- 31:19Speaker 1: weird double elbow.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Guy up yeah, who had like music powers, like he's weird.
- 31:26Speaker 1: One.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and apparently they are like, Okay, the Strawheads and
- 31:32Speaker 2: law go after Kaido, but our Twergart is thanks, like
- 31:37Speaker 2: they want to go after Shanks. So again we don't
- 31:42Speaker 2: see anything more about that, but it's kind of like,
- 31:45Speaker 2: do you think they would have like what would Shanks
- 31:47Speaker 2: do with them? Would it work?
- 31:50Speaker 1: Are they trying to kill him because they want to
- 31:52Speaker 1: take his Does he have a devil fruit?
- 31:55Speaker 2: No, he is one of the four Emperors Shanks.
- 31:59Speaker 1: They just want to take him out like for the
- 32:01Speaker 1: power move.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Yes, basically, Okay.
- 32:06Speaker 1: It's so interesting that Shane's got where he got and
- 32:09Speaker 1: he has not had a devil fruit. We know he
- 32:12Speaker 1: can use hockey, so I'm assuming that's like the way
- 32:16Speaker 1: he has made this happen for himself. It's just like
- 32:18Speaker 1: people in this universe are so strong because of devil
- 32:22Speaker 1: fruits that being able to get that far without one,
- 32:28Speaker 1: it's almost unbelievable.
- 32:30Speaker 2: But well, we have Rayley who definitely had not eaten one,
- 32:36Speaker 2: the guy who trained Loofy. Yeah, and he was the
- 32:41Speaker 2: right hand man of Roger, And as far as I know,
- 32:45Speaker 2: we don't know Roger if he had anything, so that's true.
- 32:52Speaker 1: And never even stopped to ask if Roger had one.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I guess I was just assuming he did for reasons
- 33:00Speaker 1: like the same reason of just In order to get
- 33:05Speaker 1: anywhere in this universe, you probably have to have one,
- 33:08Speaker 1: but nobody's ever mentioned it, and so it's still possible.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I guess that he has when he just like kind
- 33:15Speaker 1: of kept it under wraps or whatever the ability was.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Maybe wasn't like a combat power necessarily, But yeah, that's
- 33:25Speaker 1: so that I never really stopped to think about that.
- 33:27Speaker 1: That's true. I have to say, Ace would spank all
- 33:33Speaker 1: of these clowns.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I mean a.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Right, Shanks, thanks, Shanks would spank all of these clowns.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I want them to go ahead and try it, because
- 33:49Speaker 1: the same reason that I am surprised he is where
- 33:52Speaker 1: he is is the reason that I wouldn't fuck with him.
- 33:56Speaker 1: You don't even have a devil for power, and you're
- 33:58Speaker 1: in You're one of the Emperor. You are not to
- 34:02Speaker 1: be trifled with. You got something going on for you,
- 34:05Speaker 1: and I don't need to know what it is to
- 34:07Speaker 1: respect it and back away slowly. So go ahead, go ahead, guys,
- 34:14Speaker 1: bring him your smoke, and let's see what happens. Let's see.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm curious, especially because they're all very annoying in their way,
- 34:25Speaker 1: Like who is annoying? Just because he's like ugly And yeah,
- 34:31Speaker 1: he's just like unpleasant to look at and just like
- 34:33Speaker 1: weird the tarot card guy. There's something very pretentious about him.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so aloof so above everything, it seems like.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and then like Captain Kidd just is a cocky asshole.
- 34:52Speaker 1: So yeah, I would be very interested in seeing all
- 34:56Speaker 1: of them get slapped down.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Maybe we will. And I feel like that's it. I mean, no,
- 35:05Speaker 2: we see Drake is the last one. He's like in
- 35:09Speaker 2: the snowy area, and oh yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I forgot about him. And there's a weird thing about
- 35:16Speaker 1: Do Flamingo having killed his dad.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah, he the devil fruit that law ate the me
- 35:29Speaker 2: that was in the clutches of like some I feel
- 35:33Speaker 2: like pirates as well, and Corason stole it from them,
- 35:36Speaker 2: you know. And those pirates are like Drake was there
- 35:42Speaker 2: and the father was like the leader of those pirates.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Oh okay, And.
- 35:49Speaker 2: The story goes like that Drake fled when Do Flamingo
- 35:54Speaker 2: showed up and was able to escape and his father
- 35:59Speaker 2: got killed by.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my god, I'm sorry if you. My dogs
- 36:06Speaker 1: start growling and scared the shit out of me. He's asleep,
- 36:09Speaker 1: dead asleep, but he's growling in his sleep. Then do
- 36:16Speaker 1: you hear him.
- 36:18Speaker 3: You can't hear him.
- 36:19Speaker 1: He seems so loud to me. Sorry, just like it's
- 36:24Speaker 1: just startled me. I'm just not expecting that. Oh my god,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I forgot about Murder Machine Killer from the South Blue
- 36:32Speaker 1: A Combat Crew. And this guy's like eating spaghetti or
- 36:35Speaker 1: something with his mask on, and he's like sucking the
- 36:37Speaker 1: noodles into the holes. I did not realize that that
- 36:41Speaker 1: was what was happening for a second, that that was
- 36:42Speaker 1: him eating, And I was like, what the fuck is
- 36:44Speaker 1: this man's face made out of? Like I thought that
- 36:47Speaker 1: he just had like a tentacle face and this was
- 36:50Speaker 1: like little feelers coming out of his face, and that
- 36:53Speaker 1: he wore this mask to like cover his shame, but
- 36:57Speaker 1: also the holes were to allow the freedom of movement
- 37:00Speaker 1: of the tentacles. I had a real whole, like monstrous
- 37:05Speaker 1: mental image for a second before I clocked that they
- 37:07Speaker 1: are eating and that's what's happening.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Your girl was not with it on that one.
- 37:15Speaker 2: It's fair, No he is. I mean maybe he has
- 37:20Speaker 2: under the mask something horrific.
- 37:22Speaker 1: It's true, it's fair. Yeah, we haven't seen under there.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but I feel like this is all for this episode.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I mean, there's a lot of jumping around.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But yeah, we were pretty much just like touching base
- 37:36Speaker 1: with people.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah. One thing that I want to say, we see
- 37:41Speaker 2: a kind of like this is like again in the
- 37:44Speaker 2: more in the beginning, Sorry, he talks to like the
- 37:48Speaker 2: five Elders, and right, yes, as far as we know,
- 37:54Speaker 2: the five Elders are like the the highest governmental power,
- 38:00Speaker 2: let's say, but they say do flamingo pulled? That's done
- 38:06Speaker 2: even above them. So basically the Celester Dregons, they like
- 38:12Speaker 2: he got in contact with them and was like, hey, bitches,
- 38:16Speaker 2: you're going to do whatever I'm going to tell you
- 38:18Speaker 2: to do.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Which is really surprising because I didn't think he had
- 38:22Speaker 1: any sway with them at all. I thought that they
- 38:25Speaker 1: had completely disowned him, and so now finding out that like,
- 38:29Speaker 1: evidently he still had some pull with them somehow, I
- 38:35Speaker 1: am side eyeing him so much because a great deal
- 38:39Speaker 1: of his like his crankiness as a character was about
- 38:46Speaker 1: being disowned by his family and not treated like anything.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And apparently you were still able to like bully them
- 38:57Speaker 1: into doing stuff and allowing you to. So he's still
- 39:01Speaker 1: like using the privilege that comes with being a celestial
- 39:05Speaker 1: dragon as much as he can, but he's trying to
- 39:08Speaker 1: pretend that he just doesn't have it anymore, and so
- 39:11Speaker 1: he had to do what he had to do because
- 39:13Speaker 1: it all got taken away from him. Apparently didn't all
- 39:16Speaker 1: get taken away from you like you aren't. He doesn't
- 39:19Speaker 1: have access to it the way he would like. He
- 39:22Speaker 1: doesn't have access to it in the structure of you know,
- 39:29Speaker 1: how this normally functions. But uh, it just felt very
- 39:35Speaker 1: much like he was trying to pretend he's totally divorced
- 39:37Speaker 1: from this system, and evidently he isn't. So that's interesting. No,
- 39:47Speaker 1: there's Colin bullshit on you a little bit there, Dophie.
- 39:52Speaker 2: That's fair. I like we're just speaking about Dopie. He's
- 39:57Speaker 2: not really in these episodes. But this is again kind
- 40:00Speaker 2: of the end of the arc. Can I ask you overall,
- 40:05Speaker 2: how do you see him maybe as a character and
- 40:08Speaker 2: as a villain, Like how would you kind of like
- 40:11Speaker 2: rank him or like put him?
- 40:16Speaker 1: I think I feel very complicated about do Flamingo, and
- 40:21Speaker 1: I don't really. I think part of it is there
- 40:26Speaker 1: was a sense when we get the reveal of who
- 40:30Speaker 1: Joker is that I was supposed to have like a
- 40:34Speaker 1: strong reaction to it that apparently other people had because
- 40:39Speaker 1: they I think it's just by the time you get
- 40:43Speaker 1: around to those reveals, people have rewatched the series enough
- 40:47Speaker 1: times that they have grown attached to characters in a
- 40:50Speaker 1: way that I don't have happened when I'm covering things
- 40:53Speaker 1: this way. So for me, it was just like, oh,
- 40:56Speaker 1: that weird guy. Okay, well, sure he's a joker whatever,
- 41:01Speaker 1: And it was not much. So I think my reaction,
- 41:07Speaker 1: because I felt like I should have I was supposed
- 41:10Speaker 1: to in quotes, have reacted differently. It affected how I
- 41:16Speaker 1: saw him to begin with, because there was like this
- 41:20Speaker 1: reveal that just didn't quite land, and then his overall
- 41:26Speaker 1: motivation of just being like I just want to destroy
- 41:29Speaker 1: this world. It's a little bit too vague, you know.
- 41:33Speaker 1: He's just like, well, they disown me, and they value
- 41:36Speaker 1: the power they have over the world, so my goal
- 41:39Speaker 1: is to destroy it. It's it's very nebulous. What does
- 41:45Speaker 1: that even mean? Really? To destroy this world? You're out
- 41:50Speaker 1: here like making arm steels and selling smile fruits, and
- 41:54Speaker 1: I'm not I think that this is all meant to be.
- 41:58Speaker 1: He is assisting in the in the of lots of
- 42:00Speaker 1: people by allowing pirates to come in and destroy societies
- 42:05Speaker 1: and villages and take things and kill. And so I
- 42:11Speaker 1: think that if I had known more of that stuff
- 42:15Speaker 1: that he was involved with and how much of a
- 42:18Speaker 1: like armstealer and kind of at the top of the
- 42:25Speaker 1: food chain with a lot of the more despicable pirates,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I think I would have been more impressed earlier on
- 42:33Speaker 1: than I was. And so by the time, like we
- 42:40Speaker 1: actually get into it with him, I was sort of
- 42:43Speaker 1: whatever about him. But then his power is really creative
- 42:49Speaker 1: and very fun to watch and can be exploited in
- 42:54Speaker 1: such a variety of ways that makes him more interesting.
- 43:00Speaker 1: And I'm not sure that really counts because that's his power.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It's not really him, but it is.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you know.
- 43:07Speaker 2: I would also say like he has kind of that
- 43:10Speaker 2: was an interesting relationship with his crew, Like we I
- 43:14Speaker 2: think you talked about this before, Like does he like
- 43:17Speaker 2: truly loved like love them or like want to protect
- 43:20Speaker 2: them or is it like you are mine and therefore
- 43:24Speaker 2: I nobody gets to fuck with you because you're mine.
- 43:28Speaker 2: You know, He's a fucked up character, And I'm gonna
- 43:35Speaker 2: tell you, Like the fan base, everybody is really funny.
- 43:40Speaker 2: There are a lot of girlies or also men who
- 43:44Speaker 2: are like I can change him.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Of course there are I should really have seen that coming.
- 43:55Speaker 2: And I love it. I don't know if I just
- 43:56Speaker 2: find it funny. It's not always like instance sity, but
- 44:01Speaker 2: there's like a wipe going in the fandom of like, yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 2: he's fucked up, but he's also he just needs the
- 44:08Speaker 2: right girl on his side and he will be great,
- 44:10Speaker 2: you know, Oh my god.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not against that kind of energy always
- 44:17Speaker 1: with certain characters, because like I get it, you know,
- 44:22Speaker 1: but he is just one where.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Like I.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Definitely hold that energy for like Crocodile, you know, I Crocodile,
- 44:35Speaker 1: I see it, but do Flamingo just feels like a
- 44:39Speaker 1: privileged asshole having a tantrum just but for twenty years,
- 44:45Speaker 1: you know, he doesn't feel like somebody who's like I
- 44:50Speaker 1: got here because I'm so competent and think things through
- 44:53Speaker 1: so well. I got here because people around me just
- 44:58Speaker 1: decided I was a god and decided to throw themselves
- 45:01Speaker 1: behind me. And he wouldn't be where he is without
- 45:05Speaker 1: the devotion of the people under him and the powers
- 45:08Speaker 1: they have. So I don't have that kind of feeling
- 45:14Speaker 1: of being impressed with him because so much of where
- 45:18Speaker 1: he currently is has relied on just being seen as superior,
- 45:25Speaker 1: which doesn't that's nothing. You're not bringing anything to the table.
- 45:28Speaker 1: It's just an accident of how you were born and
- 45:31Speaker 1: where you were born. And some people like drinking that
- 45:36Speaker 1: kool aid. And he's the epitome of like privileged rich kid.
- 45:45Speaker 1: So there's nothing about that that I find attractive in
- 45:49Speaker 1: any way. Like, the whole vibe for him is super
- 45:55Speaker 1: toxic and coming from this really gross stratusfy of privilege
- 46:01Speaker 1: that is the opposite of what I would ever want
- 46:04Speaker 1: to like, No, thank you, No, it's a I'm not
- 46:11Speaker 1: saying that he is not competent in his way, but
- 46:16Speaker 1: I feel like he doesn't have to be because he
- 46:21Speaker 1: had so many other people like covering his back that
- 46:26Speaker 1: and they all had such bonkers powers that even if
- 46:30Speaker 1: they're not that competent, their powers make it so that
- 46:33Speaker 1: they can cover way more bases than the average person.
- 46:36Speaker 1: He just sort of lucked into a lot of stuff.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. I mean he also apparently has the
- 46:46Speaker 2: what's it called the conquerurse hockey as well, you know,
- 46:49Speaker 2: and and that is I mean, it is something that
- 46:52Speaker 2: you can train but as far as we know, it
- 46:55Speaker 2: is this is the only hockey type that you either
- 46:58Speaker 2: have or you don't have it. The auto hockey you
- 47:01Speaker 2: can train to get it, but this one is kind
- 47:04Speaker 2: of like, yeah, you can still train it to get
- 47:07Speaker 2: better with it, but you cannot train it to get
- 47:10Speaker 2: it in the first place. And that again seems to
- 47:13Speaker 2: be luck based as far as we know.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So yeah, it's like if if there were, like if
- 47:21Speaker 1: there were a way that he managed to put himself
- 47:25Speaker 1: in the path of something by working hard for it
- 47:29Speaker 1: or doing something very daring or whatever, then I would
- 47:33Speaker 1: be more impressed. But it just feels all like you
- 47:37Speaker 1: just got lucky at a lot of things, brah. And
- 47:41Speaker 1: so yeah, he's I don't like dislike him as a
- 47:44Speaker 1: character as a villain, like being the privileged asshole having
- 47:48Speaker 1: a tantrum works quite well, you know. So like as
- 47:51Speaker 1: a villain, that's fine, But he's definitely not like one
- 47:56Speaker 1: of my faves or anything. I just he is easy
- 48:00Speaker 1: see the hate and absolutely that's fine. I'm good with that.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know who had to work to get
- 48:08Speaker 2: to where he is.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Let's talk about it.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Yeah, how much like I would like to talk about
- 48:19Speaker 2: like chronologically if that's okay with you. Yeah, yeah, let's
- 48:22Speaker 2: do that with Sabo.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because the way they tell us the story is
- 48:28Speaker 1: like all over the place. It bounces back and forth
- 48:31Speaker 1: in time like a million times.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so he is. I want to know how much
- 48:37Speaker 2: do you remember of like the backstory with Lufy and Asena, especially,
- 48:45Speaker 2: like do we need a big recap for that or no?
- 48:49Speaker 1: I felt like the recap that we got within the
- 48:51Speaker 1: episode was plenty of just like they lived on the
- 48:55Speaker 1: outskirts and the place was planning on burning the whole
- 48:58Speaker 1: area down because it was of homeless and criminals, so
- 49:03Speaker 1: fuck them, and Sabo had he was from a rich
- 49:06Speaker 1: family and would sneak out and he finds out about
- 49:10Speaker 1: this scheme, wants to go and warn them, and he
- 49:16Speaker 1: winds up trying to run away on a ship because
- 49:18Speaker 1: he does not want to go back to his parents
- 49:21Speaker 1: and gets shot at because he's flying a pirate flag,
- 49:27Speaker 1: even though it's very funny when I had forgotten that
- 49:30Speaker 1: it's just an s with like crossbones behind it, so
- 49:34Speaker 1: like there's not even a skull. Come on, Sabot, put
- 49:40Speaker 1: a little hat with the goggles on it. Do that
- 49:46Speaker 1: for your little Yeah, I don't know.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that is kind of like where we get like
- 49:52Speaker 2: the new part that we weren't aware of is like
- 49:55Speaker 2: basically Dragon fishes him out of the water mm hmm,
- 49:59Speaker 2: and we see Eva again on the ship so excited.
- 50:08Speaker 1: No, I was not expecting it, and I had forgotten
- 50:12Speaker 1: because Eva has told us that, like, yeah, I knew Dragon,
- 50:14Speaker 1: we were buds, Like I had forgotten all about this,
- 50:17Speaker 1: and it was like there was a part of me
- 50:23Speaker 1: that my my immediate reaction was like, oh, Sabo got
- 50:26Speaker 1: to know Eva. Oh that's nice, Like I want everybody
- 50:29Speaker 1: to have a chance to hang out with Eva, So
- 50:32Speaker 1: you got privileged buddy to have this this time. But yeah,
- 50:39Speaker 1: it's like he he ran into Dragon earlier when he
- 50:42Speaker 1: had found out about the fire that was going to
- 50:45Speaker 1: be set and just yells to him about how this
- 50:49Speaker 1: is all bullshit. It's unclear in that scene if saw
- 50:54Speaker 1: if Sabo telling him is new information for Dragon, or
- 50:59Speaker 1: if Dragon is here because he knows that this is
- 51:01Speaker 1: going to happen. Because like when Dragon shows up on
- 51:08Speaker 1: UH in Lowtown and like saves Loofy, it felt like
- 51:16Speaker 1: he was there for that purpose for Loofy, and maybe
- 51:25Speaker 1: that is what he was here for also that like,
- 51:30Speaker 1: you know, this is his son and somebody is threatening him,
- 51:33Speaker 1: and he doesn't come out and greet Loofy. He doesn't
- 51:37Speaker 1: tell him I'm your dad.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Hi.
- 51:39Speaker 1: He doesn't ever actually have contact with him, but he
- 51:43Speaker 1: seems to at least try to keep Loufy alive. So
- 51:48Speaker 1: because he just he seemed more startled when Sabo said
- 51:53Speaker 1: I need to get out of here or else I'm
- 51:55Speaker 1: never going to be free than he was startled by
- 51:58Speaker 1: Sabo being like they're going to light whole place on fire. So, yeah,
- 52:03Speaker 1: I don't know what to think about that, but.
- 52:06Speaker 2: I would think that probably with his intelligence network, he
- 52:11Speaker 2: kind of knew that she was going down.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but he was like super surprised. He was like
- 52:17Speaker 2: this kid hates displayed like he was like so surprised
- 52:21Speaker 2: that like, oh my god, like you feel the same
- 52:24Speaker 2: way I do.
- 52:26Speaker 1: It was very like what a perfect person to run into.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I thought that he was going to help a little
- 52:33Speaker 1: bit more in the moment than he does. But I
- 52:35Speaker 1: guess for the story to work, it can't like he
- 52:40Speaker 1: can't help very much, or else we would have gotten
- 52:43Speaker 1: wind of him earlier, and we also would have maybe
- 52:48Speaker 1: suspected that he saved Sabo too.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Perhaps yeah, I.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Don't know, but I think that it was like just
- 52:56Speaker 1: meant to be more of a surprise, so a lot
- 52:59Speaker 1: was kept under wraps because of them.
- 53:02Speaker 2: And I feel like, also, this is kind of the
- 53:04Speaker 2: reason why that they bring Saba on the ship and
- 53:09Speaker 2: he wakes up and he has lost his memories and
- 53:13Speaker 2: Dragon were not him alone, but they decide to basically
- 53:17Speaker 2: keep Sabo. And the thing is says, I don't want
- 53:22Speaker 2: to go back, and I think.
- 53:24Speaker 1: He can't remember anything except that this place is not
- 53:27Speaker 1: the vibe.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and I feel like Dragon was like, oh, this
- 53:33Speaker 2: is the thing that you said before you lost your memories,
- 53:36Speaker 2: and even after you're still saying the same thing. So yes,
- 53:41Speaker 2: you know, like if he had not met him before,
- 53:43Speaker 2: maybe he was just like, oh, you lost your memories,
- 53:45Speaker 2: you're crazy. You don't know what you're talking about.
- 53:48Speaker 1: That's a good point, but yeah, that makes sense of
- 53:51Speaker 1: just using that as like a metric of Okay, well,
- 53:53Speaker 1: I know that this was already what you wanted, so
- 53:57Speaker 1: it's not unethical for me to get you out of here,
- 54:04Speaker 1: because yeah, Eva is the one who is just like
- 54:06Speaker 1: you're a child, and this is very irresponsible. We can
- 54:09Speaker 1: just like take you with us, and normally I would
- 54:13Speaker 1: be very much like you are correct, that is unethical
- 54:16Speaker 1: put this child back. But this all works out very well.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Absolutely. I think it's the better choice for Sado, Like
- 54:27Speaker 2: he is happier.
- 54:30Speaker 1: And him having the memory loss explains why he doesn't
- 54:33Speaker 1: come and see Loofy any sooner, because that was the
- 54:36Speaker 1: thing that I was like, why would he have stayed
- 54:38Speaker 1: away for so long? You know? And I didn't have
- 54:41Speaker 1: the impression that he was kept prisoner anywhere for you know,
- 54:45Speaker 1: a decade or whatever, So I was just like, what
- 54:50Speaker 1: could possibly have kept him? And it's just that he
- 54:55Speaker 1: doesn't remember his connection to Loofy until Ace's death, which
- 55:01Speaker 1: is awful.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Yeah, as far as memory losses go in stories, I
- 55:08Speaker 2: feel like ODA handled this well. Like sometimes it can
- 55:12Speaker 2: feel like a cheap cop out, I'm going to be honest,
- 55:15Speaker 2: but for me, at least, it did not feel like
- 55:17Speaker 2: this in Here with Sorrow, I just accepted it. It
- 55:23Speaker 2: was like, okay, yeah, that's what happened, and we would
- 55:26Speaker 2: roll with it.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I totally agree. I think that the trauma of like
- 55:34Speaker 1: getting blown up and everything, him just being rescued and
- 55:38Speaker 1: being like mostly fine would have been a little bit
- 55:41Speaker 1: too easy. So him having memory loss, it at least
- 55:44Speaker 1: feels like some very serious consequences to getting attacked like that,
- 55:50Speaker 1: which I wanted, some real consequences. And I would also
- 55:57Speaker 1: buy it just as an injury. Like as much as
- 56:00Speaker 1: in stories amnesia resulting from a knock on the head
- 56:04Speaker 1: is overused, it is something that can happen. And he
- 56:08Speaker 1: was a kid and he was alone on a ship
- 56:11Speaker 1: and it was like he came very very close to drowning,
- 56:15Speaker 1: and that can also cause brain damage because of lack
- 56:18Speaker 1: of oxygen to your brain, that can kill certain parts
- 56:21Speaker 1: of it. So overall, I was totally fine with it.
- 56:25Speaker 1: I didn't have a problem with that at all, and
- 56:28Speaker 1: especially because it doesn't feel like it was such a
- 56:33Speaker 1: plot point that got exploited. It's just he doesn't have
- 56:36Speaker 1: his memory, and eventually he does remember, and now he's
- 56:39Speaker 1: back now that he has remembered, it's not like, oh,
- 56:42Speaker 1: he doesn't remember, and now he's back in Louvie's life,
- 56:44Speaker 1: but he still doesn't remember him, and he's being plotted
- 56:47Speaker 1: against or he's plotting against Louvie because he doesn't know
- 56:50Speaker 1: they're really brothers. And we have to wait until something
- 56:53Speaker 1: happens that jogs's memory. Like, there's no drama that's just
- 56:57Speaker 1: centering around that plot point, so it doesn't feel like
- 57:02Speaker 1: real contrived.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I think him being off camera, so to speak, for
- 57:08Speaker 1: most of that time helps with the the feeling of
- 57:12Speaker 1: it just being like, yeah, I'll just accept this, it's fine.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Mm yeah, we get okay. There's one little scene I
- 57:25Speaker 2: want to talk about that happens in the presence is
- 57:28Speaker 2: everybody wants to go to sleep, and Bartolomeo is to
- 57:32Speaker 2: Kevin Dish like, you will not sleep here with us,
- 57:36Speaker 2: just like.
- 57:38Speaker 1: You guys. There is a point later where the camera
- 57:40Speaker 1: slow pans where everybody sleeping and he has turned into
- 57:46Speaker 1: Hakuma and is driving around with his crazy face trying
- 57:51Speaker 1: to get out, And I lost my mind. I thought
- 57:55Speaker 1: that we were just going to be like, oh, BARTI
- 57:57Speaker 1: Lomeo is a little bit paranoid, now understandable, but then
- 58:00Speaker 1: we like get no confirmation barts of Lameo was the
- 58:03Speaker 1: only smart one that remembered what this motherfucker is and
- 58:07Speaker 1: was not playing. Yes, that cracked me up. I do
- 58:11Speaker 1: not expect to see him just wiggling around all burritoed
- 58:16Speaker 1: up in a fucking chain that killed me. That killed me.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Everything was barts of la Mao is so good.
- 58:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he's best boy. He's one of the fan favorites.
- 58:28Speaker 2: I can already.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I would like his wanted poster. I think he's
- 58:34Speaker 1: one that I probably probably was like sold out by
- 58:37Speaker 1: the time I went to that thing, but I'm sure
- 58:39Speaker 1: I could find it online. Maybe I don't have a
- 58:42Speaker 1: good place, like I want a spot behind me in
- 58:45Speaker 1: my office where I can like display fandom stuff, but
- 58:48Speaker 1: there's no room in here. I don't have like a
- 58:50Speaker 1: space like I have Chopper over here and and he
- 58:54Speaker 1: you can only see him a little bit right now.
- 58:56Speaker 1: But I need to to find a way because it
- 59:03Speaker 1: would be very fun.
- 59:05Speaker 2: What about now you want to display it? I wanted
- 59:08Speaker 2: to say, maybe the ceiling. I don't know what your
- 59:10Speaker 2: ceiling situation is.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Don't feel like that would where the ceiling. It's one
- 59:14Speaker 1: of those old it's not exactly popcorn, but it's that
- 59:18Speaker 1: kind of like crumbly unstable and things will just fall.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I think unless I got it really good in there,
- 59:26Speaker 1: I could have things just hanging behind me from the
- 59:31Speaker 1: I have a curtain that's over a doorway here, and
- 59:35Speaker 1: I could hang things from the pole, the curtain pole,
- 59:39Speaker 1: but now we're getting real, real jankie, so.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Probably not anyway, Okay. I just want to keep from
- 59:47Speaker 2: bringing that up.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Though, because I would not have remembered to do it,
- 59:50Speaker 1: and that I literally burst out laughing when that slowpan,
- 59:56Speaker 1: because it starts on just like you know a few
- 59:58Speaker 1: regular people, so you just think it's gonna be whatever,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: and then eventually when you see him, you're just like
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: what and nobody is acknowledging it, and like the narrator
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: is just talking over it and there's nothing there's nobody
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: is referencing it or anything. It's just this fucking like
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: site gag. It was very very well done.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, we get a compilation of Sabo training
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: or being trained, and I also like that we see
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: that he studies, like they also like it's not not
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: just fighting, it's also like learning is part of it.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I like that, and I think at some point, I
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: don't know if it's this episode or next, but we
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: also see Kuma. I don't know if you expect him to.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Say no, I did not. This motherfucker challenges Kuma, and
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I was like, this is why I could not be
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: one of these kids. They had battles in way that
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I just did not as a child. No, thank you.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: They and he gets fucking chucked and then you just
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: see him go, well he's tough, but and he just
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: like gets right back up and is clearly going to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: go in again. And I was like, could not be me. Friend.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Ocauz Kula is what would you say, like sixty times
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: the size of the average adult somewhere in there, like
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: and Sabo is about a third the size of the
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: average adult. So yeah, I uh, there's a there's a
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: lot of faces in this crew that we haven't seen
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: in a while.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Yeah. No, he made he made he surrounds basically, yeah,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: I think, oh no. Yeah. The last part is just
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: that we we're not just but we see in action,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: like how he helped like infiltrate there. I don't know
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: even what it is, like some sort of fortress.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I forgot about that because we really don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: get any details. It's just like her submission that he
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: went on and here's how he did, and YadA YadA,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: just to show us that he's like a valuable asset.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Absolutely, and that's kind of it for the second episode,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I mean the second that the third episode kind of
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: go together.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Yeah, the third episode, I was really surprised because very
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: little is added to the story, like considering that it's
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: called the untold Story, it's like, it's just it's the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: untold story behind their reunion and that's really just that
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: one conversation that lasted like two minutes. So I thought
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: it was going to be there would be a lot more,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: and it just kind of retreads a lot because we
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: start with him not remembering anything, and eventually somebody mentioning
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: they bring up Firefist and he says Ace and they're like, so,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: what are you like having memory issues again? And he's
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: looking at the newspaper and freaking out, and then we
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: have a series of flashback moments and it was so
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: funny because full disclosure, guys, there's a spreadsheet that Florian
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: gave me about what episodes to watch, but he had
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: forgotten to update it because we had covered four episodes
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: in a previous recording, so it was saying that I
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: needed to watch technically only two for today, and then
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Florian got back to me and was like three if
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you can, but it was late enough that I wasn't
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: sure I would be able to do it, and I
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: was able to fit the view in between this episode
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and the previous one that I recorded, and I had
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: to run and pee while I was watching, but I
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: was listening through my headphones while it played on my computer,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: so I was like, I'm just gonna run and pee
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: and leave my headphones in and listen and come back.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: And I didn't miss anything because it's such a long
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: period of him just standing there looking shocked with tears
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: in his eyes as we slowly go through memories and
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: all of this is filler. It's all just you know,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: to like to draw the whole scene out. So it
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: was so funny because I was like, oh, I don't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: know if I'm going to have time to watch this thing.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: And it felt very much like I could have just
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: fast forwarded through this entire part and it would have
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: been fine. I wouldn't even have missed anything. Because the
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: express we get so many repetitions of the like all
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: you need is to be brothers is to to share
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: some soake together. We get that scene like it feels
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: like six times in the course of these two episodes,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: and I'm sure it's only like twice.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: But I find it an o but funny. The people
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: like have the newspaper and they're like, Dragon, you have
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: a son like his Oh.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: My god, yes. I Like it was a combo of like,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: this can't be right, and then realizing like none of
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: his crew knows, and then when he's just like, oh, yeah,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that's true. He doesn't. He's not like he is hiding it,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: but when he's asked the direct question, he's honest, which
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I don't know what to make of that.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Well, who is the same way it's it's but does.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Looviy hide things or just I guess he's not. I
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: guess like I'm assuming Dragon's hiding things, but like he
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: also just doesn't. I don't know him very well, so
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: it might be the same thing where Looviy it's just like, wait,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: didn't ask Yeah, so yeah, I didn't tell you. It
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: never came up. Why would I mention this? It is it?
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I guess it's more like that.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: That's very funny. It never occurred to me that it
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: was like literally just it never came up. I thought
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: it was him like actively hiding it for his son's safety,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: but him coping to it that quick. It doesn't really
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: work together. So yeah, maybe that is all it is.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I mean. Also, Garp is also kind of the same way.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: He kind of he tried to keep it a secret,
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: but he also was kind of like the one who
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: spilt the beatings basically back in Water seven when it
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: first was revealed, he was like, Oh, yeah, that's your father,
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: by the way, in front of God God.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: That he just literally says it in front of everybody, Garb,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: What a fucking maniac you are. What's he up to?
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I don't we don't see him.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: In any of this. I wouldn't expected to see a
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: check in with him because this is loofy. Yeah, and
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: him reacting to this, you know, I don't even know.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Have we seen him since the Timescape?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: I don't think so either. And Kobe as.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Well, Yeah, yeah, I want to know. I want to
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: like this news had to have reached him. This is
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: a big deal, So I would love to know what
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: he makes of this. That's uh man.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Anyway, Okay, okay, yeah, we have.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Not really talked about the straw hats and Sabo like
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: he is basically telling him this tape, and I personally
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: just have to say, I like this, like how they
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: talk and it's just like this chill wipe in this,
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: like Kevin, I don't know, I like it. I don't know.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: What do you think about this?
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: I'm always like I'm notorious, I think at this point
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: for loving hangout moments with characters that we have gotten
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to know, it's the best. Like I love seeing what
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: people do in crises, of course, but I also just
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: want to see what are you like when it's not
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: an emergency situation?
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: What are you like?
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: It's like apparently there's like a trope with anime, the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: beach Party episode something like that. It's called I don't know.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Normally it's just like, yeah, the beach just to be
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: each episode or beach vacation episode.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Okay, which like with this it doesn't really because they're
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: always on a boat or on beaches, so it's like
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: sort of moot. But I have kind of like with
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: the opening of every new arc, there's new animation of
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: everybody hanging out somewhere and you know, Sandy cooking and
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Nami looking at the map and everybody just like and
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: I always will watch that opening and just be like,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: why can't we actually have an episode like this? Though?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Can't we just actually do this? So this is part
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: of what I love about the end of arcs is
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: that we do finally get a little bit of this.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: But the problem with it is oftentimes everybody isn't together.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: They are with characters that we have met along the way,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: separated in the midst of a really big party, and
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: so you get to see them interact with their new friends,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: but you don't really get them like interacting with one another.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: So that was what I liked about this one, was
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: that there are a few newbies in the mix as well,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: but for the most part, it's like probably like sixty
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: percent straw hats, thirty percent newbies, and that's it. And
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: it's a really small crowd in the little cottage. It's
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Heiros's cottage, right, I think, yes, And so yeah, the
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: dynamic is just a lot more intimate, and you know,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: we have little jokes later on about like somebody drank
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: all the booze and somebody else ate all the food
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: and Zorro's pissed, and Lufy's gonna wake up and he's
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: going to be pissed. And I would not mind if
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: this went on for longer, to be honest, which it
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: might because like, by the end of this we're not done.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Lufy hasn't. I think he's only just barely looken up
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and says like I want me, And that's kind of
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: almost it from him, if I'm remembering.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Right, Maybe I don't. Maybe at the very Endia, because
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: when Sabo leaves, he's still asleep. Definitely. Yeah, I what
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: you freak about it?
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: For that? I'll say this that he leaves while Lufy's
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: asleep low key unforgettable.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I would be real Roman, Yeah, me too. I don't
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: think Lufy will be mad, but I will be mad
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: on his behalf honestly.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like, if you know Lufy well enough to
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: know that, he wouldn't be mad, Okay, and maybe Salbo does.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Maybe he does know him well enough, but like just
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: in a vacuum, that just seems like such a dick move.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: He thought you were dead for how long? Like ten years?
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, about like maybe even more, and you.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Turn up out of nowhere and then tell his friends
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: the whole story and hang out and have drinks and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: chill with them and then bail before he is awake.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Like that sucks. I would be really mad and he
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: went he flies off on the top of some birds.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: What is this? It feels like some more of the
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: ring shit where everybody keeps saying they should have just
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: rowed the eagles to Mount Doom.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: I was this was like the most confusing for me
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: because for a while I was like, Oh, that's his
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: devil fruit power, and then I at some point was no,
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: he ate the firefruit. Just what is going on?
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: And it's not even like mentioned maybe it will be eventually,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: but I'm like, where did the birds come from? How
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: do you know them? Why are they letting you like
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: all of this? It feels like it should be some
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: kind of superpower. And I was for a moment like
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: is this why he were the like aviation goggle or what?
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: But yeah, there's no acknowledgment of what a wild move
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: this is. And like I can't fault them for not
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: bringing it up earlier because the bird cage was up,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: so he probably couldn't have done anything, Like if these
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: birds are friends of his, he couldn't have reached them.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: But also, what is happening here?
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: But there's nobody, like we see there's the audience, but
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: there's nobody around to make a comment about it, you know,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Like it's and is not going to be like and
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: now I'm going to call my bird friends and flyway.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: And you know why why should he say that out loud?
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Like it's just up to us for guessing, you know?
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was like the bird's part of the
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: revolutionary army? Did the like dragon? Is he so charismatic
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: that he even got the birds on his side?
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: The eagles?
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they're fighting for them. I'd love it.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but that's kind of it. Is there
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: anything else if you want to talk about otherwise? I
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: would kind of ask for predictions, But.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I'm trying to think if I could swear there was
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: something else that I'm just like scrubbing through things real
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: quick to try and see if there's anything that I missed.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: The way that Lufi attacks him when he realizes who
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: he is and wraps his entire body around his head
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: is very funny. Oh my god. And then Sabo fucking
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: loves hanging up on people. What is the deal with
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: this dude? I can't remember the name of this character
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: that he hangs up on here, but this guy is
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: about to turn and take his anger out on the
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: dude standing next to him, which I'm pretty sure is
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: what Kowala did earlier, like the same guy that she
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: punched him because he just happened to be standing there
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: and Sabo hung up on her and so she was pissed. Sabo,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: you have got to start thinking about this guy and
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: how he he is taking all your beatings for you
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: and just stay on the line for God's sake. It's
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: it's kind of a fun like weird character trait because
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: for the most part, out of the three brothers, Sabo
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: feels weirdly like the most what how do I want
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: to say this? He's the most uh, evenly tempered and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: well developed of them. You know, Lufy's kind of bonkers,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Ace had rage issues. Sabo is most stable. I would say, Yeah,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: so you got to give him something that he's like
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: a little bit of an asshole or a weirdo about
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: and just having him be really cocky and hanging up
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: on people all the time is kind of a funny
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: one because it's just a weird you know what I mean.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: It's not something that I.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Would think of, Yeah, and it is like infuriating, but
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: it is not like so bad that you dislike him exactly.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: It's it's just feels like, why there was no need
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: for that, but yeah, it's not. It doesn't feel like
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: it's interfering with anything. If at some point later he
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: should have stayed on and he hangs up and it
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: screws up a mission, then I'm going to be annoyed. Okay,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: So for right now, I'm gonna treat this as like
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: an endearing foible. But if it starts to get in
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the way of stuff later, it's gonna cease being cute
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be irritated. So just keep watch your
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: steps out. That's all I'm saying. But yeah, that's the
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: only other thing that I really wanted to mention because
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: he had done that with Koala, and I had just
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: thought it was the stress of the moment until this episode,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: and then he does it again and I was like, oh, okay,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: so that's like his thing.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Yea, it is.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: As far as predictions.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I mean, go ahead and beg let's begin with general
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: like you think we would have seen him again?
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Yes? Yeah, Like this show, I don't feel like you
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: don't see anybody never again almost ever. Even even people
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: that are like kind of nothing sometimes will pop up
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, I forgot about this guy. You
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: know what is what? What is the name of the
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: pirate captain that wanted to play games? They played like
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: the the the race.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Game Foxy Foxy, that's right.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I would not mind Foxy pop back up again
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: because that guy was weird. That was such a weird
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: whole thing. Didn't you have like a French accent or something.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: I feel like something was going on there, Like honestly,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: he was an enigma in every way.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, there was a guy that I'm like, where's
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: he at? I wouldn't mind seeing him again. We got
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: a like a brief moment of seeing Buggy in a
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: previous episode as well, like just for a second, I
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: can't remember even what was going on at the time.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: But yeah, so, like anybody, I just take it for granted.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Of course we'll see them again eventually. It just have
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: to wait long enough, you.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Know, Okay, good? Then the next thing? What will happen
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: on this island? In the sense of each show has
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: gotten the what's the task to go after Lufian law?
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: How do you feel like that will shake out? Like
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: normally a party is not an extent, but is it
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: going to happen or like.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I just don't know, Like he should. He's not gonna
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: go after them, not after all this, He's not gonna
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: do it. There's no way that you make the big
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: public statement that he made and then you turn around
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: and arrest these guys. He like, there's just no way.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: So he may. I can't even decide, like how hard
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: he's gonna go with defying them, because he could just
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: straight up be like, no, I'm not going after them,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: fuck you, I quit. But he doesn't do that in
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the moment, and I think that would have been the
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: time to do it, or if he wants to quit,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: but he's just gonna wait and fuck him up a
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: little bit before he quits. Maybe he's like, I have
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: no intention of going along with this, but I'm gonna
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: pretend I'm still part of it so that I can
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: give them the time to escape because somebody thinks I'm
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: on it. You know, I just feel like giving him
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: this assignment is a mistake. Why would you give the
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: dude who publicly apologized the job of arresting the people
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: that fixed the situation. You have to know that he
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: isn't going to obey you the way that you intend.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it doesn't seem like you have him under
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: control basically at the moment.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Yes, you know, so like, I don't know. I think
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that he's this is this is the sort of thing
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: where it's like it could go a number of ways.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: He could. Oh, I didn't see them. I'm gonna go
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: try and catch them. I saw them get in their boat.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: You know he's blind.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Please, Oh my god, I totally forgot. That's even better.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I didn't see him. Really weird they I didn't see
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: hide nor hair of any of them.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: I looked everywhere, and you sent a.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Blind man to catch them. I don't know what you expect.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Oh my god. I can't really ever forgot that. Or
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: you could like, hey, guys, have a party. Go ahead
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: and enjoy yourselves tomorrow. I'm bringing you in. And then
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you make it so that they have their party and
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: they know to take off before morning, which is what
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I'm the most expecting. I guess if he does try
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: to arrest them, I will be genuinely shocked. I will
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: not see it coming because it just doesn't it doesn't
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: make sense, it does not align with anything else. So
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: if he does do that, I have to I will
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: assume he has some other plan that I just don't know,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: you know, but Fernidez says, you know, ever the brightest
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: candle on the cake, why would he understand? Fujiitura probably
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: won't do it. I have never heard the brightest candle
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: on the cake. I've heard so many versions of that,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: like not the sharpest tool in the shed, but brightest
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: candle on the cake. I don't know why, but I
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: really like that one, probably just because it involves cake,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: and I'm just like, yeah, so thank you for that one, Brinadette.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: But also, yeah, you're right, like Akay, you knew he's
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: a real meat head, you know, Yeah, he's a guy
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: that if, like I saw him at the gym, he
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: would definitely be the guy grunting really loud with every set,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: wearing like and looking in the mirror and flexing really hard,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: all greased up, like, yeah, he's not to say that
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: that inherently means that you are not smart. Everybody, don't
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: come at me, but you know the stereotype that I'm
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: pointing at here.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Absolutely well. And then the last prediction I want to
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: ask you about, but you talked about this before, What
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: the fuck is going on with Nami sanjy chopper.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Raha I cannot believe that we haven't checked in with
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: them yet. How many episodes has it been? Now? This
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: is like a whole year worth of show, right that?
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: Yeah, in real time they were like missing for.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: You, I would be pissed. How did everybody else feel
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: about this?
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: People were confused? Definitely it was, but I'm just kind
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: of you know, it has been like more than like
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: fifty episodes at least, so like more than a year. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say it's I don't know, Like I
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: like Nami, I like Brooke a lot as well, so
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: I was like, well, my favorites, but it kind of yeah,
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: maybe it will make sense in a way when we
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: see what's going on there. But do you how much
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: time do you give the show until we meet them again?
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Like I really I can't even guess, because if you
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: had told me by now that we still wouldn't have
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: checked in with him, I wouldn't have believed it. I
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: every week thought, maybe next week we're going to reach
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: a point because like what I kind of had expected
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: was that they would play some key role eventually in
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: taking down Do Flamingo, that they would go find somebody
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: or get help or something and turn around and come back,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and there would be a moment of the cavalry arriving,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: like Gandolf looking look to the east on the third day.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: And so I just kept thinking, and now like shit's
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: over and we're talking about rebuilding and fixing things, and
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: they're still not back. So I genuinely have no idea,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: like I have to assume at this point we're going
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: to end the arc and not see them again. So
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I think probably if we haven't seen them by now,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: we won't for like another six episodes minimum. I'm saying
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: that the arc is gonna wrap within six episodes, and
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I'm not sure that's true, but because like we're at
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the tail end here, but it does seem like there's
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: still kind of a lot to do. I don't know.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm distracted, because there is a huge wasp
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: in here. Holy shit. We're just gonna pretend we don't
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: see it and hope that it somehow makes us invisible
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to it. That's how it works.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: Yeah, No, no, exactly. The feelings that you have, I
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: feel like I have like they will come back, and
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: then it's like I feel like we're done here, So
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: I guess we go after them, and I like, what
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: have you been up to?
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: And now, Yeah, I don't think that there has been
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: any arc so far where one group has been so
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: thoroughly left out entirely. We will have arcs where we
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: spend a lot of time with a couple characters and
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: the others are left out like for a while, but
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: they're always brought back into things and always made part
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: of the big moment at the end. So it just
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: feels really bizarre to not have them here when we're
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: celebrating our victory. You know. I don't know if this
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: is like just a side effect of the way that
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Oda wanted things to go for another reason, or if
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: he was purposely like what if they aren't there for
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: this moment, or if he even considered it, But yeah,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: it just feels like I think that's part of why
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I keep feeling like the arc can't wrap too much
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: with like too soon, because they're not back yet and
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: they have to be part of it, right, And then
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: I'm second guessing myself like maybe they don't.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: I don't know, it is like really it is like
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: a switch up, honestly, Like it is kind of like
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: you're so used to how things go, yeah, no, things
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: are changing kind of and yeah, he is. I mean
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: looking back at it, however, I'm also kind of like, Okay,
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: this arc heads so much going on. I don't know
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: if we needed them, you know, like, I mean nothing
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: against them. I would like it if they were here,
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: but I was kind of like, we have so many players.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: We have so many players already.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Counterpoint, there was so much filler in this arc.
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: Yes, that's true.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: There was so much room to put them in there,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: and it would not have felt packed because the fight
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: between Lufy and Do Flamingo is so repetitive and goes
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: on for so long. There was so much time. If
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: we were going to be spending that time here anyway,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: they definitely could have done something. You know.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: That's true. But again that was also like from a
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: story prospective more of a anything. We talked about it,
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: but Old I had different plans. So I'm excited to
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: see and what you think of the plans if it
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: was basically worth it for them to be off screen
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: for like more than a year basically, or if you
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: will be like that's stupid. I'm looking forward to it.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: I am curious. Bernandette in the chat says also I
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: cannot wait for the next arc. You have no idea?
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: Oh boy, oh boy, kids, I'm very it's so weird
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: because like I will maintain I like dress rosa arc.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: I'll go down saying that things went on for too
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: long toward the end. But then it feels like this
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: whole thing picked it back up again a little bit.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: But there is a feeling of like it being a
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: turning point, you know. And I think it's just the
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: reveal of so many different things and how they work,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: and everybody get like a lot of the pirates being
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: turned against the straw Hats for a particular reason. It
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: just feels like this is a moment that's going to
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: change things somehow. I really, just for the record, want
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: Bartolomet to join the crew really very much. I what
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: is the name of the fish man that has joined
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: the crew allegedly but that we never.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: See Jim Bay?
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: Jimbay? Yeah, no offense Jimbay. But like it's if it's
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: a situation where we don't have enough slots open, can
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: we just ditch Jimbay? Can we? He's a very nice
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: fish man. He is super boring. He doesn't do anything.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: He's not around. I do not care about him. When
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: I was at that event in Austin, they were selling
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: all kinds of merch and it was the end of
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: the event run. It had been up for like three months,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: so everything that was left was what nobody bought, and
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: it was all Jim Bay stuff. It was like his posters,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: his little figurines, apparently like they are very much doing
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: a let's try to make Jim Bay happen kind of thing,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: and it's not. Nobody's buying it. Maybe eventually something will
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: happen and I'll change my mind, but based on the
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: sales of items, I will say that I'm not the
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: only person who feels this way. And Vargila Mayo, if
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: he were asked to be part of the straw Hats,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: I don't know what he'd do. I think he might die. Yeah,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: he would literally die.
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: Yeah, So I don't I don't think we can ask him.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: I want him to meet the rest of the crew
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: as well, So that's another part of wanting the rest
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: of them to show up like that. He's gotten to
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: meet a few of them, But how would he react
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: to my God, Chopper, I really I just want to
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: see that's.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: Allo, all right, I don't I don't think so.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: All right, well, thank you so much for joining me.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: I really appreciate it. It's super fun to have a guest,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: and uh you're always a delight Florian, So thanks for
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: coming on and think he brun a dead also for
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: being in the chat. Missed you and glad to see
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: you back. And I hope everybody listening is enjoying the
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: coverage and we will be seeing you soon with a
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: new episode.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Until then, to motherfuckers, bye bye.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: That was an unspoiled network
