NC 87 and 11 Interchange Finally Upgrades | Wilmington News
Big change at the N.C. 87 and N.C. 11 interchange—after a fatal crash in 2017, the long-awaited upgrade is finally moving forward. Starting July 29, drivers will use a new bridge and looped routes, ditching the all-way stop that’s been in place since 2017. Southbound N.C. 87 drivers head to a new loop, northbound drivers go under the bridge and use a turnaround, while N.C. 11 drivers access ramps to either direction.
