- 0:45Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The crown
- 0:48Speaker 1: is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:52Speaker 1: your host, back at it with the first lady of
- 0:54Speaker 1: the pod, Miss Kendri Middleton, and the director of Stats,
- 0:58Speaker 1: the man who puts the pro I'm in primer, Evan Abrams,
- 1:02Speaker 1: is here with us today. I am taking the mantle
- 1:06Speaker 1: for the Stucky Question of the week as he is out.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Our thoughts, our prayers, our heart are with you, Stuck.
- 1:13Speaker 1: We hope that you are spending some quality time with
- 1:18Speaker 1: the fam much much, earn much deserved, something that I
- 1:23Speaker 1: am struggling with outside of this week not being able
- 1:26Speaker 1: to talk, which, by the way, bounce back strong shout
- 1:29Speaker 1: out to the Medicaia welcome back. Yes, feeling good a
- 1:35Speaker 1: Maxacylan for the win. This is hardcore drugs when you're
- 1:40Speaker 1: in your forties. By the way, I've had a couple
- 1:43Speaker 1: of text conversations over the last few days and weeks
- 1:47Speaker 1: with people that I haven't spoken to in a while,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and we've gone back and forth asking how we're doing
- 1:53Speaker 1: and sharing updates, and I would say, like for a
- 1:55Speaker 1: median reference of like ten messages back and forth. It
- 1:59Speaker 1: was a full blown conversation multiple different people. And the
- 2:03Speaker 1: thing that I am struggling with and where I am
- 2:05Speaker 1: an awkward individual is I don't know if I'm supposed
- 2:11Speaker 1: to say bye at the end of the discussion, and
- 2:14Speaker 1: so I need a ruling on this. I can't just
- 2:17Speaker 1: put yeah, these are like former colleagues or friends, like
- 2:23Speaker 1: people that you don't sing.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Are you on the phone?
- 2:25Speaker 1: No, Yeah, you're texting. Obviously you say buy on the phone.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But like if you're catching up with someone via text
- 2:31Speaker 1: and you're going back and forth, do you then end
- 2:33Speaker 1: the conversation or does it just or do you just
- 2:37Speaker 1: let it go?
- 2:38Speaker 3: No, because when you get off the phone, you have
- 2:40Speaker 3: to give someone a signal that you're getting off the phone.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Where when you're texting that that's in a twenty four
- 2:45Speaker 3: to seven availability thing you don't say by that is
- 2:50Speaker 3: so millennial dad, go to the view, I'm actually I
- 2:53Speaker 3: can't holy if you don't, so I tend to agree that,
- 2:57Speaker 3: Like you thought you were going to ask if a
- 2:59Speaker 3: hot dog was a sandwich, but this is pretty much
- 3:01Speaker 3: like the technological equivalent of asking me if a hot
- 3:04Speaker 3: dog is a fucking sandwich?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Gravit.
- 3:08Speaker 1: No, I'm not that basic close close, but it's like,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I agree that it's awkward to say bye guys. I
- 3:17Speaker 1: agree with that, but it also feels like I'm ghosting
- 3:21Speaker 1: the individual if they send me a message, but after ten.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Replies someone via text unless they like they can just
- 3:29Speaker 3: keep reaching out to you.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That's that's that's why we created the moojis right, Like,
- 3:33Speaker 4: you could just thumb up something, do something like that
- 3:35Speaker 4: to acknowledge that you've seen something and move on with
- 3:39Speaker 4: your day.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So wait, how is it How is it millennial dad
- 3:44Speaker 1: of me to even ask this question? How not to
- 3:47Speaker 1: send a thumbs up? Although a discussion?
- 3:50Speaker 2: It's because you don't know how to use the internet.
- 3:53Speaker 1: That's why, Yes.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Dad, just just thumb the message and move on with
- 4:00Speaker 4: your day.
- 4:00Speaker 1: So we should not t t y l at the
- 4:03Speaker 1: end of.
- 4:05Speaker 4: No, I haven't heard that one in a bit. That's good.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I mean, I adore you.
- 4:10Speaker 3: However, it's like when my mom asked me what a
- 4:14Speaker 3: u ur l was the other day.
- 4:18Speaker 1: A hot dog, by the way, definitely definitely not a sandwich.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Not a sandwich actually, but it's fun.
- 4:24Speaker 1: No, Evan, don't do this.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Okay, Wait, can I know Evan's reason quickly.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Jeez, come on, because it's.
- 4:30Speaker 4: An entree, because it's an entree with multiple hot dogs
- 4:33Speaker 4: and multiple restaurants. Like you go to Jackson Hole, there's
- 4:36Speaker 4: two hot dogs with some chili and stuff on it,
- 4:38Speaker 4: and it's put in the same exact section as an hamburger. Like,
- 4:41Speaker 4: there's no need to have this discussion, like it's it's
- 4:44Speaker 4: it's a sandwich on a decent level. Move on.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I do think I agree with production in the chat
- 4:52Speaker 1: you kind of need to split the bread in half.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But I refuse. You guys tried to paint me into
- 4:57Speaker 1: a corner of basic forty year old dad.
- 4:59Speaker 2: No rabbits in the corner.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I will not I will not be roped into having
- 5:05Speaker 1: this conversation.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I hope that you start saying t tyl.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I'm going to think important are more important things like Mike.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Rabel, our slack chandles about to go wild with some ttyl's.
- 5:17Speaker 1: All right, Kendrick, give me the latest. Mike Rabel and
- 5:19Speaker 1: a pregnant Diana Rossini with her son Michael rented a
- 5:26Speaker 1: private boat together two months before the birth of her son,
- 5:29Speaker 1: which again his name is Michael. How does this story
- 5:35Speaker 1: keep getting worse. I don't understand what are we going
- 5:38Speaker 1: to see next.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm taking over first stucky for real here because this
- 5:41Speaker 3: is my question to you guys. Is it freakier to
- 5:45Speaker 3: get down with the get down if she's seven months
- 5:47Speaker 3: pregnant and it's your kid or not your kid?
- 5:52Speaker 4: I mean, from my perspective, this just went from I
- 5:57Speaker 4: really don't care to a little creepy and the only
- 6:00Speaker 4: reason I even care about this and I don't think
- 6:02Speaker 4: this really even matters on any level except he's eighty
- 6:05Speaker 4: to one doing Coach of the Year and he's never
- 6:06Speaker 4: gonna win that award, so there is no reason to
- 6:09Speaker 4: talk about him, or the Patriots or the story unless
- 6:13Speaker 4: they decide to make a move and take him away,
- 6:15Speaker 4: and then it's a handicapping story. Aside from that, I
- 6:18Speaker 4: could care less with these two. Okay, question, yes, but yes,
- 6:22Speaker 4: the pregnant thing did get weird.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have the answer. The answer to the question, is
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's freaker if it's not your kid?
- 6:30Speaker 4: Of course, of course yes, that is yes.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Total no no. On top of not that in either direction,
- 6:39Speaker 1: this is okay, But that's like that's way off the
- 6:41Speaker 1: beaten path. But I agree with Evan, this is how
- 6:45Speaker 1: I know when I saw this story, This is how
- 6:48Speaker 1: I know I've slid into the right chair in life,
- 6:51Speaker 1: because all I can think is those Patriots win total
- 6:55Speaker 1: unders are going to a hit so hard this year,
- 7:00Speaker 1: never mind the fact that they had the world's easiest
- 7:02Speaker 1: schedule last year. But now you layer in this like Kendra,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I will give you credit. At the start of this story,
- 7:09Speaker 1: when it was just a seed of what it has become,
- 7:12Speaker 1: which is a full blown forest of news, you said
- 7:16Speaker 1: this is going to cost Mike Rabel his reputation. It
- 7:20Speaker 1: could cost him his reputation within the locker room, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: I believe you even implied that it could cost him
- 7:25Speaker 1: his job, and we collectively laughed at that. And we
- 7:29Speaker 1: are a whole lot closer to that being reality than
- 7:33Speaker 1: the opposite end of the spectrum.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I told you guys before, like all of the playlists
- 7:37Speaker 3: and everything dropped, that there was going to be more
- 7:40Speaker 3: coming out of this, and I still don't even think
- 7:43Speaker 3: that we're done here.
- 7:44Speaker 4: To be honest, I think this is this is a
- 7:46Speaker 4: trickle thing because someone has information that is just picking
- 7:49Speaker 4: times and points to do this because it feels vindictive,
- 7:52Speaker 4: So I would imagine and this is not being hyperbolic,
- 7:56Speaker 4: Like look at the NFL Important Dates document and like
- 7:59Speaker 4: you could probablyably find different times that different information are
- 8:02Speaker 4: going to drop, because I just feel like this is
- 8:05Speaker 4: just going to happen around the release and then like
- 8:07Speaker 4: around just dates where the Patriots show up, He's going
- 8:09Speaker 4: to be out on a microphone. You're gonna have to
- 8:11Speaker 4: talk about this instead of the fact that their schedules
- 8:13Speaker 4: stit more difficult.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Next is going to be the paternity test for me.
- 8:17Speaker 3: But I think what comes here now the question becomes
- 8:23Speaker 3: there are two options. One is she going to do
- 8:27Speaker 3: a tell all? And two is she going to sign
- 8:30Speaker 3: an NDA and say nothing. I think if she signs
- 8:33Speaker 3: the NDA and she goes away and she doesn't do
- 8:35Speaker 3: a tell all, that's.
- 8:36Speaker 2: When we know that these are Rabel's children. If she
- 8:38Speaker 2: does the tell all, we know that they're not.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Because I don't think that she's going to be willing
- 8:42Speaker 3: to jeopardize her kids having a relationship with their father
- 8:47Speaker 3: by doing a tell all, especially because she doesn't need
- 8:50Speaker 3: the money.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And if she wants to reveal that on this podcast,
- 8:54Speaker 1: we'd be happy to have Diana, we will interview her.
- 8:58Speaker 1: We will and will be hospital to Diana Rossini if
- 9:02Speaker 1: she wants to hop on the podt and chat about it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But I don't. I don't think that we're going to
- 9:10Speaker 1: hear from her for a long time. So whatever the situation,
- 9:13Speaker 1: however the situation settles itself before the start of the
- 9:16Speaker 1: twenty twenty sixth season, I don't think it involves hearing
- 9:19Speaker 1: from Diana Rossini. I don't think that happens until twenty
- 9:22Speaker 1: twenty seven.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It's going to be crazy when Michael is sixty five,
- 9:26Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty pounds and plays linebacker in the NFL.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I was talking to my neighbor about this the other day,
- 9:32Speaker 3: and they said that they think that Diana should come
- 9:36Speaker 3: out with a podcast called DTF Diana Talks Football.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Wow.
- 9:42Speaker 1: That's and that that is sort of where we are
- 9:46Speaker 1: as a society and as a media is. I think
- 9:49Speaker 1: all of us would be an agreement that if she
- 9:52Speaker 1: decides to spin this into her brand, it's only going
- 9:57Speaker 1: to make her more popular.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Agree.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I think this is also I mean
- 10:01Speaker 4: we should probably move on to actual real stuff. But
- 10:03Speaker 4: she is a family, like, she's got other things, probably
- 10:06Speaker 4: other than like a career, Like if you were single
- 10:08Speaker 4: or something like, obviously it wouldn't be a situation. But
- 10:10Speaker 4: there's there's a lot going on here that I'm sure
- 10:12Speaker 4: she's got to deal with. But we can. The DTF
- 10:15Speaker 4: thing is that's a wow.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's wow if you are with me. By the way,
- 10:20Speaker 1: if you want to spin this into a football slash betting,
- 10:25Speaker 1: take the alt unders, so ten and a half is
- 10:28Speaker 1: minus one fifty for the Patriots win. Total under nine
- 10:32Speaker 1: and a half is plus one fifteen under eight and
- 10:35Speaker 1: a half pace two to one under seven and a half.
- 10:38Speaker 1: If you really think everything is going to hell is
- 10:41Speaker 1: plus three fifty.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Any right, is their division their division? Like I think
- 10:47Speaker 3: the Jets are going to be better. I think Miami's
- 10:49Speaker 3: gonna be asked and Buffalo will continue to do Buffalo things.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I feel like I would feel a lot better about
- 10:55Speaker 3: the seven and a half if they played a different division.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you're probably right. The schedule, as I
- 11:02Speaker 4: put in an article I put on an action hour today,
- 11:05Speaker 4: is just also a lot more difficult. But how could it.
- 11:08Speaker 4: It couldn't have gotten easier, So like there had to
- 11:10Speaker 4: have been a point where the schedule got more difficult
- 11:12Speaker 4: than it did. I mean, last year they faced opponents
- 11:15Speaker 4: forty three percentage. Now it's fifty three percent. That's a
- 11:18Speaker 4: pretty decent jump. And you even look at Super Bowl odds.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Last year, their average opponent was like one hundred and
- 11:24Speaker 4: twenty to one. This year it's eighty four to one.
- 11:26Speaker 4: So it's like you are seeing a more high quality
- 11:29Speaker 4: opponent and some pretty good qbs. So I like the
- 11:32Speaker 4: under overall.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I think it's a good and ideally they their schedule
- 11:37Speaker 1: is always going to stiffen up. There's no way it
- 11:39Speaker 1: was going to be as easy as it was last year.
- 11:41Speaker 1: But they should also be a better football team. The
- 11:43Speaker 1: question is can they avoid the we lost the Super
- 11:48Speaker 1: Bowl slide, which that is a slump that a lot
- 11:50Speaker 1: of teams find themselves in, and then you have this
- 11:54Speaker 1: Mike Rabel news and nobody knows how to handicap that
- 11:56Speaker 1: because this is one of the most peculiar stores that
- 12:00Speaker 1: we've ever had leading into an NFL season.
- 12:03Speaker 4: It's not a positive though, like I there's no don't
- 12:06Speaker 4: I don't think there's noainly not a positive.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But how negative is it? I think is the question
- 12:10Speaker 1: that I keep asking myself.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I am I don't even think it's that I think
- 12:14Speaker 3: it is very much is he the head coach by
- 12:19Speaker 3: the time the season rolls around, because if he's not,
- 12:22Speaker 3: and you get in on this.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Now, yeah, and I think he's a good enough coach
- 12:27Speaker 1: where if we were to just describe a value to it,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I think he's worth two wins. I think Mike Rabel
- 12:33Speaker 1: is that good.
- 12:34Speaker 3: It's just also, you have to have the conversation with yourself.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Let's say he is the coach, but how much of
- 12:38Speaker 3: that locker room has he lost?
- 12:42Speaker 1: And that's and that's the angle to this discussion that
- 12:44Speaker 1: I continue to go back and forth on because accountability, integrity,
- 12:49Speaker 1: all of these things a coach has preached, he has
- 12:50Speaker 1: shown none of it. But at the same time, a
- 12:53Speaker 1: lot of the guys in that locker room have probably
- 12:54Speaker 1: done something similar to what Mike Rabel has done, just
- 12:57Speaker 1: not with Diana Rassina.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Now yet, I will say this as well, if you're
- 13:01Speaker 4: assuming the aj Brown trade, you could wait for that
- 13:04Speaker 4: because the win total is just gonna rise with that transaction.
- 13:07Speaker 4: They added Dobbs, you add Brown, like, there's gonna be
- 13:09Speaker 4: a lot of hype and maybe the Brown trade puts
- 13:12Speaker 4: this a little bit on the uh uh. But we'll
- 13:16Speaker 4: see what happens with that, and it's supposed to happen.
- 13:18Speaker 2: What do we say, Junie, I think June second, okay.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So I will say though, so to that point, I agree.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I think that if nothing changes and all this stuff
- 13:26Speaker 1: blows over, the AJ Brown news will then spike a
- 13:29Speaker 1: win total. And if you like the under then wait
- 13:32Speaker 1: for it. But Mike Rabel not being the head coach
- 13:35Speaker 1: is more impactful to the win total than AJ Brown
- 13:38Speaker 1: joining the football team.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I would agree.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think that there's like probably a difference about of
- 13:44Speaker 1: about a game in favor of the head coach because
- 13:46Speaker 1: of how important that position is. So in other news,
- 13:50Speaker 1: Andy Reid says that Patrick Mahomes is in a good
- 13:52Speaker 1: position to do some things in OTAs, which starts at
- 13:55Speaker 1: the end of the month.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Uh.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I want to back the Chiefs. I like the idea
- 13:59Speaker 1: of getting them on this bounce back season based on
- 14:02Speaker 1: the faith I have in the regime. I just can't
- 14:05Speaker 1: get past the fact that there's little to no value
- 14:08Speaker 1: on this. They are favored to win the AFC West
- 14:10Speaker 1: and that's the thing I was going to enter the
- 14:13Speaker 1: market going, I'm going to be the guy that buys
- 14:15Speaker 1: the Chiefs and apparently the market agrees, and so I
- 14:20Speaker 1: have not made any wagers on this, but I'll need
- 14:24Speaker 1: folks to sour on Kansas City, Kendra, where do you
- 14:27Speaker 1: land on Kansas City confidence going into the season.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I really want to hate them, I have to be honest,
- 14:33Speaker 3: But their roster did get a lot better. And do
- 14:36Speaker 3: I think that they overpaid Kelsey? Yeah, it's just a
- 14:38Speaker 3: Taylor Swift price tag and all of the marketing that
- 14:41Speaker 3: you get with her in tow and I want to
- 14:43Speaker 3: hate them, but I think that they're roster's good. I
- 14:45Speaker 3: think it's built to last. I think that it's built
- 14:46Speaker 3: to last through some injuries as well. But at the
- 14:49Speaker 3: same time, that division is the absolute gauntlet. So I
- 14:55Speaker 3: really don't want to be anywhere near anything to do
- 14:59Speaker 3: with the Chiefs because of the division.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Yeah. Division's absolutely brutal. Yeah Yeah, division is the reason
- 15:06Speaker 4: why you probably wouldn't go there. Schedules a bit easier
- 15:09Speaker 4: from last year, rosters better, You're assume healthier on some level.
- 15:15Speaker 4: I mean, there's lots of reasons to look up for
- 15:18Speaker 4: Kansas City aside from the fact of having to probably
- 15:21Speaker 4: just play the Chargers and Broncos and the Raiders are better,
- 15:24Speaker 4: but it's still a team they should dominate. I mean,
- 15:26Speaker 4: you know, depending on where the schedule falls out, like
- 15:29Speaker 4: they might get a Kirk Cousins game, they might get
- 15:32Speaker 4: an early Frinando Mendoza game, Like, I don't know. I
- 15:35Speaker 4: like Kansas City though early though, I think it's possible.
- 15:40Speaker 4: I think that's part of the I think the handicap
- 15:42Speaker 4: right now Cousins is minus two hundred to start week one,
- 15:45Speaker 4: but like, what does that look like five weeks in,
- 15:48Speaker 4: Like if they're one in three one, Like, I feel
- 15:50Speaker 4: like you want to get Mendoza in at some point.
- 15:51Speaker 4: There is very little to lose to get him reps.
- 15:55Speaker 4: The only thing is is, like you start with Kirk.
- 15:57Speaker 4: If Kirk's two and zero three and one, Like, if
- 16:00Speaker 4: there's a surprising start, maybe you make a decision. If
- 16:02Speaker 4: they're bad, I think you want to see what you
- 16:04Speaker 4: got with the kid.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to let's table that because that's gonna
- 16:09Speaker 1: be a big part of our discussion coming up in
- 16:10Speaker 1: a moment. We've got way too early bets on the
- 16:12Speaker 1: rookies ahead of the twenty twenty six NFL season. But first,
- 16:16Speaker 1: a word about DraftKings.

- 17:01Speaker 1: So the rookie market this year from an awards perspective,
- 17:04Speaker 1: is going to be fascinating. We have the number one
- 17:07Speaker 1: overall pick, who, as Kendra implied, might not start at all.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Maybe he starts early. We don't know. We have the
- 17:14Speaker 1: number one offensive weapon on a team that could be
- 17:16Speaker 1: the worst in the NFL and Jeremiah Love on Arizona.
- 17:20Speaker 1: We saw how that panned out for Ashton genty last
- 17:23Speaker 1: year with the Raiders and the number one wide receiver
- 17:25Speaker 1: Carnel tait is with a quarterback that we still don't
- 17:29Speaker 1: know if he's any good. So we're kind of grasping
- 17:33Speaker 1: at straws here to find something that we absolutely love.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I think that creates immense value in the betting market.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But we'll start with Fernando Mendoza. Kendra, you teed it up.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Is he going to play? I believe the over under
- 17:45Speaker 1: that I've seen out there for games played from Fernando
- 17:48Speaker 1: Mendoza's like seven and a half or I think it's
- 17:52Speaker 1: right around that range. With Tom Brady being in the
- 17:56Speaker 1: front office and he has been adamant as somebody who
- 17:59Speaker 1: experienced this and as somebody who has seen quarterback failure
- 18:03Speaker 1: across the league, that you sit and they went and
- 18:06Speaker 1: paid handsomely to bring in a guy that is definitely
- 18:10Speaker 1: good enough to be your starter throughout the year and
- 18:12Speaker 1: not embarrass your franchise. I would take in any version
- 18:16Speaker 1: that is out there, Fernando Mendoza unders games played, passing yards, touchdowns.
- 18:22Speaker 1: There's no way I'm betting this guy for Offensive Rookie
- 18:26Speaker 1: of the Year.
- 18:27Speaker 2: That's exactly where I was going to go.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Is the whole Brady conversation of him saying that he
- 18:32Speaker 3: would love if Mendoza set But that's where you also
- 18:36Speaker 3: have to kind of get into the weeds of things
- 18:38Speaker 3: of Okay, let's say that their schedule really quickly turns
- 18:41Speaker 3: into shit, how soon do you.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Throw the kid out there?
- 18:44Speaker 3: But the other thing is that you have to consider
- 18:46Speaker 3: Tom Brady comes from this background of growing up in
- 18:50Speaker 3: football with Bill Belichick, and Bill is notorious for not
- 18:54Speaker 3: always being honest about wants and needs for you know,
- 18:57Speaker 3: obvious reasons. So how much stock do you put into
- 19:00Speaker 3: what Tom Brady has to say about it? Because it's
- 19:03Speaker 3: easy to sit here and be like, well, there's no
- 19:04Speaker 3: way he's lying about it because he experienced it. But
- 19:06Speaker 3: at the same time, it's like, maybe he's just kind
- 19:09Speaker 3: of saying, yeah, I'd like him to sit for the
- 19:12Speaker 3: entire year, knowing that this is probably very quickly going
- 19:15Speaker 3: to go to shit because of the division, and they're
- 19:17Speaker 3: going to going to have to wind up giving the
- 19:19Speaker 3: kids some reps and getting him out there.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I think the fact that they have a rookie head
- 19:26Speaker 1: coach as well, and such a young roster, there's no
- 19:30Speaker 1: rush and getting him reps and they can wait until
- 19:34Speaker 1: the end of the season. But all those things sound
- 19:37Speaker 1: really nice until you get the week five and the
- 19:40Speaker 1: fan base starts with the.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Mendoz's I don't think they care about that though, to
- 19:44Speaker 3: be honest, because like, they have a fan base, but
- 19:46Speaker 3: is it really like a fan base where you're gonna
- 19:49Speaker 3: feel pressure.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It's Vegas? Who the fuck lives in Las Vegas?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Oh, there you go. There's another reason to like the
- 19:55Speaker 1: idea that Mendoza ain't playing.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Here's the real piece of it. Though, Kirk Cousin is
- 20:00Speaker 3: old and injured. We know this, like even if he's
- 20:04Speaker 3: starting the season as healthy as his idea of healthy is,
- 20:08Speaker 3: if he gets injured and they want to keep sitting
- 20:11Speaker 3: Mendoza so he can learn or he can now sit
- 20:12Speaker 3: on the bench with Kirk or whatever, your next option
- 20:15Speaker 3: is eight and O'Connell. So what kind of pressure is
- 20:18Speaker 3: that going to put on you to throw Mendoza out there?
- 20:21Speaker 3: If Brady very much is adamant about him sitting and learning.
- 20:24Speaker 2: You can't throw eight and O'Connell out there, like, yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: An injury would throw a wrench. I agree with that.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Fernando Mendoza would be starting if Cousins goes down with
- 20:32Speaker 1: an injury, Evan, will they be able to hold off
- 20:35Speaker 1: is the question, But.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Everything that is, I think that's the question that you
- 20:38Speaker 4: have to I said, like week five, week six, depending
- 20:41Speaker 4: on where the schedule rolls for the Raiders, will probably
- 20:45Speaker 4: make the decision for you. I don't think there's a
- 20:47Speaker 4: way he starts the first few weeks. And for what
- 20:50Speaker 4: it's worth, since you I quickly looked this up. They
- 20:52Speaker 4: have the hardest home schedule in the NFL this year
- 20:55Speaker 4: fifty eight percent opponents average for in Vegas this year,
- 21:00Speaker 4: So I mean, I imagine they're going to lose a
- 21:02Speaker 4: ton of games no matter how much they're improved. And
- 21:05Speaker 4: with that, like, I expect to see Mendoza relatively early
- 21:09Speaker 4: because I just feel like there's very little to lose
- 21:12Speaker 4: in a season that it is most likely lost.
- 21:14Speaker 1: So he is plus three point eighty to be Offensive
- 21:18Speaker 1: Rookie of the Year. The favorite is Jeremiah Love at
- 21:21Speaker 1: three to one You could definitely talk me into that.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He's a sensational talent. We've seen rookies that get that
- 21:27Speaker 1: sort of bulk of work. Saint Kwon Barkley one offensive
- 21:30Speaker 1: rookie of the year with a similar type of situation.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Bad team, great running back, So it could happen. Carnel
- 21:38Speaker 1: Tate plus five fifty if he ends up with this
- 21:41Speaker 1: high volume, I worry a little bit about the target
- 21:43Speaker 1: share with him. They've got Calvin Ridley still in that offense.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I'm not sure that cam Ward's any good. Jordan Tyson
- 21:51Speaker 1: is six to one. I don't think I'm touching that
- 21:53Speaker 1: way too much of an injury risk. The one as
- 21:56Speaker 1: far as the short shots go, that I'm most intrigued
- 21:59Speaker 1: by is Jude Price. You give me a talented rookie,
- 22:03Speaker 1: first round capital injured other running back in Charbonnay. I
- 22:09Speaker 1: don't know how when he's going to be available to
- 22:11Speaker 1: play at the start of the year in one of
- 22:14Speaker 1: the best offenses in football, a team that just won
- 22:17Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. So I think I could be talked
- 22:19Speaker 1: into him at plus seven fifty. But I don't think
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm going to take any of these guys that are
- 22:23Speaker 1: short shots unless I end up just falling in love
- 22:26Speaker 1: with Jeremiah Love in the preseason.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Kendra, I don't have any short anything that I like.
- 22:33Speaker 3: But I think I've told you guys that there is
- 22:35Speaker 3: a long shot that I've already been on for a
- 22:38Speaker 3: week and a half now, maybe.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Two Evan before we get her selling us on Beck.
- 22:46Speaker 1: What do you think about the Jadarian price bet? Is
- 22:48Speaker 1: that one worth making?
- 22:50Speaker 4: So I see like six players under twenty to one
- 22:53Speaker 4: area across a few books, including DraftKings. I think Price
- 22:57Speaker 4: and Lemon would be my two looks. Yeah, I think
- 23:00Speaker 4: Price is fine. He's going to get a bunch of
- 23:03Speaker 4: the looks. Charbonay probably not back till like mid season,
- 23:07Speaker 4: I would say so in terms of actual workload and touches,
- 23:10Speaker 4: it's hard to go away from that. And then Lemon
- 23:11Speaker 4: I just think is interesting, probably third wide receiver on
- 23:14Speaker 4: that team. You know, they trade away Brown and all
- 23:17Speaker 4: of a sudden, I think that price comes down as well.
- 23:20Speaker 4: So I think thirteen to one right now might be
- 23:23Speaker 4: the right play considering the move.
- 23:25Speaker 1: The problem is that you're also sort of betting on
- 23:28Speaker 1: Jalen Hurt's arm, which you can be dicey.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but you look at the other situations, right, like
- 23:33Speaker 4: love is the is you know, we understand that. But
- 23:35Speaker 4: you go to Tyson, you see issues. You go to Tate,
- 23:38Speaker 4: you see competition. You look at Beck you may not start.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Then you got a bunch of Browns wide receivers. So
- 23:44Speaker 4: it's just and then you go to the Jets, like
- 23:46Speaker 4: I just you have a lot of and I just
- 23:48Speaker 4: went through this kind of in my head. I feel
- 23:49Speaker 4: like between the teams and the quarterbacks, Lemon's actually in
- 23:53Speaker 4: a pretty darn good situation compared to the rest.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say, I before we got on
- 23:58Speaker 3: the show, was telling you guys that I have a
- 24:00Speaker 3: McKay Lemon future for him to have over four touchdowns.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I threw that out there.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I threw that out there is like something that
- 24:07Speaker 3: we could talk about. I don't think that that number
- 24:09Speaker 3: is going to get any better, especially if AJ Brown
- 24:11Speaker 3: does get traded. So if that's something that you like
- 24:13Speaker 3: or something that you want, I would do it now.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Wandel Robinson, by the way, was the other name he's
- 24:18Speaker 1: been added to the Tennessee Titans. So there is the
- 24:22Speaker 1: Carnal Tait stuff like, yeah, he could be the alpha.
- 24:25Speaker 1: He didn't come into the league as this dazzling prospect,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and he's got a lot of targets. They have a
- 24:32Speaker 1: lot of targets to divvy up over there. But I
- 24:35Speaker 1: like the Mikayle Lemon look from you guys. I mean
- 24:37Speaker 1: it makes sense. One of the ones that I would
- 24:39Speaker 1: look at that I would I think I would steer
- 24:42Speaker 1: clear of is Kendri's boy, Kenyan Sadiq less than ideal
- 24:46Speaker 1: situation Geno Smith throwing them the rock five hundred plus
- 24:51Speaker 1: yards is at minus one oh five if we're using
- 24:54Speaker 1: last year's crop as a guide. Tyler Warren went for
- 24:58Speaker 1: eight seventeen Colston Love and one for seven thirteen after
- 25:01Speaker 1: a big late season push. I bet that under was
- 25:04Speaker 1: looking real sharp for about half the season, both of
- 25:09Speaker 1: which much better offenses than what Kenyan Sadik is looking at.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't think that that's the guy that we should
- 25:15Speaker 1: look at, despite his combine.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he really got the got the short end
- 25:22Speaker 3: of the stick.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Unfortunately.
- 25:26Speaker 1: What about the Cardinals potential starting quarterback Carson Beck. This
- 25:33Speaker 1: is a number that has plummeted and it's still nice,
- 25:36Speaker 1: nice little payout twenty two to one for Carson Beck
- 25:40Speaker 1: to win offensive rookie of the year. I think when
- 25:43Speaker 1: he was drafted, they initially listed the price on DK
- 25:46Speaker 1: at about sixty to one, and that started getting twenty
- 25:50Speaker 1: twenty five on DK right now, But it was a
- 25:52Speaker 1: lot longer immediately after the draft, and then immediately that
- 25:55Speaker 1: conversation started to come and go, wait, are we sure
- 25:59Speaker 1: that he's not to be the starting quarterback in Arizona?
- 26:02Speaker 1: And people started to buy. So right now it seems
- 26:04Speaker 1: like it's nice and settled at twenty five to one.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I still think, Kenjre, you could you could softly twist
- 26:10Speaker 1: my arm and talk me into this.
- 26:12Speaker 3: So my reason that I think I can talk you
- 26:15Speaker 3: into this even further is, Okay, let's say he doesn't start, right,
- 26:19Speaker 3: Let's look back at Tyler Schuck last year didn't start,
- 26:23Speaker 3: and because he was a quarterback, he got so much
- 26:26Speaker 3: of a push at the end of the season for
- 26:28Speaker 3: finding success on that shitty team that it pushed him
- 26:31Speaker 3: into the conversation even though he played I think six
- 26:34Speaker 3: or seven games. So even if Carson Beck, let's say,
- 26:37Speaker 3: doesn't start, which I think that there's probably a chance
- 26:39Speaker 3: that that's true because of the position. If he goes
- 26:42Speaker 3: out there and plays well, on a bad team, he
- 26:46Speaker 3: will still get that extra bump and that extra juice
- 26:49Speaker 3: before the voting.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Okay, well, I was gonna say, what do you do?
- 26:57Speaker 1: We know, Evan, you just wrote an article on this.
- 26:59Speaker 1: He probably have them. Where the Cardinals rank as far
- 27:01Speaker 1: as their schedule difficulty, I believe because they're in the
- 27:05Speaker 1: NFC West, they have one of the tougher schedules that's
- 27:07Speaker 1: out there. I say that because I did a quick
- 27:10Speaker 1: check on seven easiest schedules going into last season, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: the Saints for one of them, they had the second
- 27:15Speaker 1: easiest schedule in terms of win percentage against going into
- 27:19Speaker 1: the season. So for Chuck to get that opportunity in
- 27:24Speaker 1: an advantageous division with an advantageous schedule, it feels like
- 27:28Speaker 1: maybe the path was a little bit clearer for him.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Wouldn't that help him though, if he goes out there
- 27:32Speaker 3: and plays good in a really good division with a
- 27:34Speaker 3: difficult schedule.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And the other thing is is that I peeped.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I think people are forgetting Do I think that Carson
- 27:40Speaker 3: back is about to be a world beater in the NFL?
- 27:42Speaker 2: No, but the kid is a certified winner.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Not only did he do it at Georgia, but he
- 27:46Speaker 3: did it in Miami, and so I think that people
- 27:49Speaker 3: need to give him a little bit of credit for
- 27:52Speaker 3: not maybe who he will be, but who he was.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And he's a pro style quarterback too, so he could
- 27:57Speaker 1: look good early exactly.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Well, say, I will say this, there's like two markets
- 28:00Speaker 4: available on Beck right now. It's like eight to one
- 28:03Speaker 4: to be the Week one starter, or like twenty seven
- 28:05Speaker 4: to one to win Rookie of the Year. God, I
- 28:07Speaker 4: like that twenty seven to one much better because I
- 28:09Speaker 4: don't see him getting the early start. But we've seen
- 28:12Speaker 4: this year after year of year you just mentioned it.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Like these quarterbacks who start mid season, we don't really
- 28:17Speaker 4: have a guy we like. A guy has two or
- 28:18Speaker 4: three touchdowns and all of a sudden, a guy wins
- 28:20Speaker 4: two or three straight games, has a bunch of touchdowns,
- 28:23Speaker 4: and all of a sudden he flies up the odds board.
- 28:25Speaker 4: So I do like it. As the look you talk
- 28:27Speaker 4: about the Cardinals schedule, I really just have one thing
- 28:29Speaker 4: to say. Their opponent win total nine point three two
- 28:32Speaker 4: this year. That is the highest since the divisional era
- 28:36Speaker 4: two thousand and two. Now, obviously seventeen game schedule starts
- 28:39Speaker 4: in twenty twenty one. But that mark is still the
- 28:41Speaker 4: highest for any team. So their schedule this year is
- 28:44Speaker 4: absolutely brutal, brutal, brutal, especially with that division. But really bad.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, maybe one of the lowest, one of the
- 28:55Speaker 1: lowest win total teams out there, perhaps the lowest as
- 28:58Speaker 1: it stands right now in the NFL, and not facing
- 29:02Speaker 1: a favorable schedule either, but still, And this is why
- 29:07Speaker 1: I think this is an important conversation to have. When
- 29:10Speaker 1: you're talking about Offensive Rookie of the Year in a
- 29:13Speaker 1: year where the number one overall pick was a quarterback
- 29:17Speaker 1: who might not even play taking shots down the board,
- 29:22Speaker 1: this is a great year to do it. We saw
- 29:25Speaker 1: what that looked like last year. Jackson Dart was another
- 29:27Speaker 1: guy bad team got going middle of the season and
- 29:32Speaker 1: then started to catch all of that buzz for Offensive
- 29:34Speaker 1: Rookie of the Year before he dealt with injuries and
- 29:38Speaker 1: Brian day Ball shoving him back out onto the football field.
- 29:41Speaker 1: What about the other side of the ball? Defensive Rookie
- 29:45Speaker 1: of the Year Ruben Bade odds on favorite at plus
- 29:48Speaker 1: five hundred. Don't roll out the second round guys. Carson
- 29:52Speaker 1: Schwessinger took home the award last year. He was picked
- 29:54Speaker 1: number thirty three. This will be the honorary Dolphins mentioned
- 29:58Speaker 1: on the podcast today. I kind of like talk about
- 30:01Speaker 1: twenty two to one's Jacob Rodriguez could lead the team
- 30:05Speaker 1: in tackles in year one. They're certainly gonna have plenty
- 30:07Speaker 1: of opportunities playing on defense because their offense won't be
- 30:10Speaker 1: doing much for them. So that's a guy early pick
- 30:13Speaker 1: in the second round that I would look like look
- 30:16Speaker 1: at as well, Kendra, is there anybody you like on
- 30:19Speaker 1: the defensive side of the ball as we look at
- 30:22Speaker 1: rookie futures?
- 30:23Speaker 2: You know who I'm in on.
- 30:25Speaker 3: As far as wind totals already this year, I'm gonna
- 30:28Speaker 3: give you one guess. I've been talking about them pretty
- 30:33Speaker 3: much every single week, even before the draft. Hmm. It's
- 30:42Speaker 3: the Giants, Yep, it's rvl Rees that would be the Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 3: that would probably be I mean, I do there's someone
- 30:50Speaker 3: that you put in our notes that I also agree
- 30:52Speaker 3: with that I will be taking a stab at.
- 30:53Speaker 2: But as far as shorter odds, that's gonna be my guy.
- 30:57Speaker 1: You are going to be so in on this team.
- 31:00Speaker 2: The heartbreak is going to be very They are my
- 31:03Speaker 2: p words this year. They're my Panthers. Okay, it is
- 31:07Speaker 2: what it is.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Hey, we are We have already planted our flag on
- 31:11Speaker 1: teams in twenty twenty six. I'm all in on the Falcons.
- 31:14Speaker 3: They're all planted my flag on them. Like the first
- 31:17Speaker 3: week of March.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Evan, who do you like, defensive rookie of the year.
- 31:21Speaker 1: It's your first look as we scan that market.
- 31:24Speaker 4: So I just think bang's the easiest. But I don't
- 31:27Speaker 4: like chalking with short arm player, not even that defensive
- 31:32Speaker 4: rookie of the Year. Like I kind of look like
- 31:35Speaker 4: to look a little bit down the board, like schwestioningers
- 31:37Speaker 4: one as a linebacker, who was I believe a little
- 31:40Speaker 4: bit down the board. I'm kind of a sucker for
- 31:42Speaker 4: the edge guys because I do think in the end,
- 31:45Speaker 4: sacks and numbers to look at that are easy numbers
- 31:49Speaker 4: tend to win this award, even if they're a little
- 31:51Speaker 4: deflated sometimes. So I was trying to look at guys
- 31:54Speaker 4: that might get some looks, Like I was looking at
- 31:56Speaker 4: our Mason Dave Thomas from the Chiefs, like if he
- 32:00Speaker 4: actually gets looks at edge for them, potentially he's seventy
- 32:04Speaker 4: five to one, which is a crazy number. Like I'm
- 32:06Speaker 4: just looking for guys who can potentially create havoc and
- 32:10Speaker 4: get playing time like Keldric Folk potentially with the Titans
- 32:14Speaker 4: is someone I might look at because that defense gets
- 32:16Speaker 4: a lot of hits and sacks. So those are the
- 32:19Speaker 4: two off the board, kind of down the list guys.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I do think, yeah, on defense. For offense, you need
- 32:26Speaker 1: basically to be a productive quarterback or a really flashy
- 32:30Speaker 1: player like a Saquan or a Jamar Chase in order
- 32:33Speaker 1: to win the award for defensive rookies. If you look
- 32:38Speaker 1: at the history, the recent history, it's more so guys
- 32:43Speaker 1: that are productive on good teams. Yeah, And I think
- 32:47Speaker 1: that not so much last year because the Browns weren't good,
- 32:50Speaker 1: but Jared Vers the year before that on the Rams,
- 32:54Speaker 1: Will Anderson the year before that on the Texans, Sauce
- 32:57Speaker 1: Gardner not a great example, Micah Park on the Dallas Cowboys.
- 33:01Speaker 1: So you had some of those guys in recent history.
- 33:04Speaker 1: That defense is one of those categories that we tend
- 33:08Speaker 1: to look at and say we attribute. We're gonna attribute
- 33:11Speaker 1: wins more so, we're gonna count that more towards your
- 33:15Speaker 1: value than on offense. We're stuck on the statistics of it.
- 33:18Speaker 1: All or just obsessing over the quarterback position. So I
- 33:21Speaker 1: don't mind looking at it in that regard. I also
- 33:24Speaker 1: want to make sure that I bring this up on
- 33:25Speaker 1: the offensive side. This was a note that we had.
- 33:28Speaker 1: As far as trends since twenty fifteen, there have been
- 33:31Speaker 1: six seasons where non quarterback opened up as the favorite
- 33:35Speaker 1: to win offensive Rookie of the Year since twenty fifteen.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Teed McMillan one, CJ. Stroud one in twenty twenty three,
- 33:43Speaker 1: Saquon in twenty eighteen, Alvin Kamara, Dak Prescott in the
- 33:47Speaker 1: years prior to that. So something to consider there. Caleb
- 33:52Speaker 1: Downs plus eight fifty Kendra could should we look in
- 33:55Speaker 1: that direction. He is the biggest star on the defensive
- 33:58Speaker 1: side on a team that gets a lot of love
- 34:00Speaker 1: and a lot of primetime games.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I think it's easy to make the argument to a
- 34:06Speaker 3: casual that it's a decent look. I just outside of
- 34:12Speaker 3: taking the way that I like to do things is
- 34:14Speaker 3: usually I'll take one shot with shorter odds and then
- 34:17Speaker 3: one shot with longer odds. I just I think it's easy,
- 34:20Speaker 3: because they're going to get a lot of primetime games
- 34:22Speaker 3: to have that conversation. I just if I'm going to
- 34:24Speaker 3: take short odds, I think it's still going to be
- 34:26Speaker 3: r Bell Reese.
- 34:28Speaker 1: How many andes would Caleb Down's need Evan in order
- 34:30Speaker 1: to win this award.
- 34:31Speaker 4: I was just going to say that because on the
- 34:33Speaker 4: same team, would you rather take eight point fifty on
- 34:36Speaker 4: Downs or a shot at twenty seven to one on Lawrence?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Like I'm again, it's the it's the question of playing time.
- 34:43Speaker 4: But Lawrence could put up some decent numbers. You know,
- 34:45Speaker 4: he's fighting with I believe what as Araku Uh they
- 34:49Speaker 4: got Rashan Gary, which makes that also a little bit crowded.
- 34:53Speaker 4: But to me, it's just tough, like Downs is going
- 34:55Speaker 4: to have to a lot of havoc, some force fumbles,
- 34:58Speaker 4: a few interceptions, like a lot of that stuff can
- 35:00Speaker 4: be lucky more than not. So it's just it's tough
- 35:03Speaker 4: for me with those odds to look that direction.
- 35:05Speaker 3: The other thing I think you have to think about
- 35:07Speaker 3: here is how good the receivers in that division are,
- 35:11Speaker 3: Like it's not that's I think that that's something that
- 35:13Speaker 3: people aren't going to pay attention to as far as
- 35:15Speaker 3: that's what I mean by like the casual piece as well,
- 35:17Speaker 3: is like the receivers in that division are so good,
- 35:20Speaker 3: you're not going to be able as a rookie to
- 35:22Speaker 3: kind of go out there and mess those guys game up.
- 35:26Speaker 3: That's just kind of how I am I guess handicapping
- 35:30Speaker 3: him specifically.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Last ten years, we've only seen two guys in the
- 35:34Speaker 1: secondary win this award. This is very much a do
- 35:37Speaker 1: you sack the quarterback you win the award, or you
- 35:40Speaker 1: rack up a shit ton of tackles, which is why
- 35:43Speaker 1: I somewhat say in jest but not really, I think
- 35:46Speaker 1: Jacob Rodriguez at twenty two to one is not a
- 35:48Speaker 1: bad bet because he's a guy that can rack up
- 35:50Speaker 1: the tackles.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I will never.
- 35:55Speaker 4: I'll say this, Josiah Trotter has a great storyline. I
- 35:59Speaker 4: got to see if he's going to get playing time
- 36:00Speaker 4: and he gets a ton of tackles with the Bucks,
- 36:03Speaker 4: but the last name does give him a leg up
- 36:05Speaker 4: if he gets close.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I one will never not be mad at Kravitz for
- 36:10Speaker 3: drafting Jacob Rodriguez because he was supposed to be at Jaguar.
- 36:14Speaker 3: And two, you will never get me to say no
- 36:16Speaker 3: to a media mugly man with a mustache.
- 36:18Speaker 1: There you go, see, he's a family guy. All right,
- 36:22Speaker 1: let's get to our draftking picks for the week. Time
- 36:24Speaker 1: to plant our flag on a couple of rooks. Kendra
- 36:28Speaker 1: get Us started your official plant the Flag bet among
- 36:32Speaker 1: these rookie props.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Yeah, the literally the only two bets that I have
- 36:37Speaker 3: logged in DK so far, Carson Beck Rookie of the Year,
- 36:42Speaker 3: and then I'm also gonna go with makayle Lemmons over is,
- 36:45Speaker 3: whichever one you prefer. Those are the two, like, literally
- 36:47Speaker 3: the only two things that I have gotten to the
- 36:50Speaker 3: window on and it's mostly because I don't think that
- 36:52Speaker 3: mackay is going to get any better when AJ Brown
- 36:54Speaker 3: is officially out.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm going to count yours as I'm planting
- 36:59Speaker 1: your flags, specifically just for recap purposes on Carson Beck,
- 37:02Speaker 1: because I like, somebody's got to be attached to that
- 37:05Speaker 1: bet that's really good.
- 37:07Speaker 3: And you know what said the sloth, great character. I'm
- 37:10Speaker 3: attached to him already, Evan.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Here go.
- 37:15Speaker 4: These are the four bets I liked, and then we
- 37:16Speaker 4: could figure out one. I like the lemon bet the
- 37:18Speaker 4: four touchdowns, which is I believe at minus two hundred
- 37:21Speaker 4: right now, which will only go up with the Brown trade.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Two unders were Jordan Tyson under eight hundred and a
- 37:26Speaker 4: half receiving yards. I see a multitude of different avenues.
- 37:30Speaker 4: How that wouldn't hit injuries. A little bit of competition
- 37:33Speaker 4: at the position. Shuck runs the ball at on Jordan
- 37:37Speaker 4: and Jeremiah Love, not Jordan Love under nine hundred and
- 37:40Speaker 4: a half receiving rushing yards was another look I liked.
- 37:44Speaker 4: But I think I am going to plant my flag
- 37:46Speaker 4: with Cooper. I'll go Omark Cooper four and a half touchdowns.
- 37:50Speaker 4: I think he is going to win that job. Ish
- 37:53Speaker 4: next to Wilson, be good with Gino. Gino tosses the ball,
- 37:57Speaker 4: it's on. I'll take Gomark. I'm an Eyeu guy. I
- 38:01Speaker 4: got the hat on. It's hard not to go that direction. Also,
- 38:03Speaker 4: sucker for under some surprise, I went that direction. But
- 38:07Speaker 4: it's all right.
- 38:08Speaker 1: You gave us three unders and then over zoomed in
- 38:12Speaker 1: the direction of it. Over. What's the number on Omar
- 38:15Speaker 1: Cooper to get four touchdowns?
- 38:17Speaker 4: Let's see, I'm looking right on. I got to get
- 38:19Speaker 4: to DraftKings.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I will the only one that I cannot co sign
- 38:23Speaker 1: of the ones that you teed up, and we'll go
- 38:25Speaker 1: with Omar Cooper for your plan minus one twenty for
- 38:30Speaker 1: four touchdowns. That's a really fun follow throughout the year
- 38:33Speaker 1: as well for a guy, and well, they're going to
- 38:35Speaker 1: get in a lot of pass happy game scripts. Yeah,
- 38:38Speaker 1: and four is a very attainable number. Hell, you can
- 38:41Speaker 1: get halfway there very realistically. You could get halfway there
- 38:44Speaker 1: in one game and then and then coast for the
- 38:47Speaker 1: ropefully that happens early coast for the rest of the season.
- 38:49Speaker 1: The only one that I will not be walking into
- 38:52Speaker 1: remotely would be Jeremiah Love. I think this guy is
- 38:56Speaker 1: going to be a stud right away. We see these
- 38:58Speaker 1: running backs, these premiere premium talents. They come into the
- 39:03Speaker 1: league and it looks like they've been playing in the
- 39:05Speaker 1: NFL for five years. They don't have the same sort
- 39:09Speaker 1: of like rookie overcome the rookie obstacle that other positions do,
- 39:15Speaker 1: because these guys just literally hit the ground running.
- 39:19Speaker 4: I think you're right. There was no need to plant
- 39:21Speaker 4: my flag on that one. I just felt like that
- 39:23Speaker 4: number was intriguing. If I had to pick, it would
- 39:25Speaker 4: probably be Tyson's under eight hundred over Loves under nine hundred.
- 39:29Speaker 4: I just a lot of outs there and I think
- 39:31Speaker 4: you agree with that.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Yes, I love the Tyson bet. We do have a
- 39:36Speaker 1: bit of breaking news real quick before I plant my flag.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers likely to join the Steelers this season. Cool
- 39:42Speaker 1: our shot a collective shockface.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Is his Ai wife staying there too?
- 39:49Speaker 1: We are a waiting word.
- 39:50Speaker 4: It also takes away the rumor I heard him to
- 39:52Speaker 4: Arizona yesterday. Like we just kept creating different things. So
- 39:56Speaker 4: I'm glad we can just put that to bed.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yes, same as much as I love talking about Aaron
- 40:01Speaker 1: Rodgers all the time, We'll go ahead and table it
- 40:04Speaker 1: for the next episode. I'm gonna split my bet in half,
- 40:08Speaker 1: so I'm gonna plant my flag. You guys can you
- 40:10Speaker 1: can veto this if you want to, but I'm gonna
- 40:13Speaker 1: split my bet. It's the same offense, so I feel
- 40:15Speaker 1: like it's it's allowed, and both are long shots. I'm
- 40:18Speaker 1: going Casey Conceptsion twenty eight to one and Denzel Boston
- 40:22Speaker 1: thirty to one. This is a quarterback. Why I know this?
- 40:27Speaker 2: I go, I know Ravits.
- 40:30Speaker 4: I feel like we just had this discussion what is
- 40:32Speaker 4: going on with this bet?
- 40:35Speaker 2: So you know what's gonna happen.
- 40:37Speaker 3: The fucking Atlanta Falcons are going to win the Super Bowl,
- 40:40Speaker 3: and I'm not gonna be able.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I can't.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Hear me.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Let him continue, I will, all right.
- 40:47Speaker 1: There's two ways to win, okay, all o, there's three.
- 40:49Speaker 1: You could be a quarterback, or you get a lot
- 40:52Speaker 1: of volume at wide receiver, running back, or you're incredibly explosive.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I think Conceptsione could win on explosiveness. I think Boston
- 41:02Speaker 1: could win on volume either way. Both of these numbers
- 41:06Speaker 1: are long enough. There's enough ambiguity in that offense. They
- 41:09Speaker 1: really only have Jerry Judy standing in their way, Schador Sanders,
- 41:14Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson, whatever. I mean. It's like, pick your favorite
- 41:20Speaker 1: shitty quarterback. I just need them to get the ball
- 41:22Speaker 1: out of their hands quickly with a couple of long
- 41:25Speaker 1: shot odds on guys that I think can put up
- 41:28Speaker 1: big numbers.
- 41:29Speaker 4: So you would like Boston. They have him at five
- 41:31Speaker 4: hundred receiving yards at.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Even Let me get this straight.
- 41:36Speaker 3: You want these odds for guys that need to catch passes.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Knowing that you admitted that they just have insert any
- 41:46Speaker 3: shitty quarterback here.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean they're gonna be There's not a
- 41:51Speaker 1: lot of talent on these offenses. So if either one
- 41:54Speaker 1: of these guys pop, then they're going to receive so
- 41:59Speaker 1: much volume anyway, they could just stat their way to
- 42:04Speaker 1: the win.
- 42:05Speaker 3: In a run first offense, no matter who the quarterback is.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Am I hearing this correctly?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Well, you've got Todd Monkin now as the head coach.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I think he wants to up the pass volume a
- 42:16Speaker 1: little bit. And now I know that here the panel
- 42:19Speaker 1: not that high on Deshaun Watson with this bet. I
- 42:22Speaker 1: would rather Deshaun Watson be the quarterback.
- 42:26Speaker 4: You sure door can sling it pretty decently.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yes, I don't hate it. You gotta be okay with
- 42:32Speaker 1: either guy if you're gonna make this bet, but you're
- 42:35Speaker 1: gonna be.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Crazy if you're gonna make this bet. But you're gonna
- 42:37Speaker 4: make it anyway, that's fine.
- 42:39Speaker 2: You also have to be at Deshaun Watson apologist.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I guess. Well, let's not go that far, all right.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Quick recap four hour Plant the Flag bets presented by DraftKings.
- 42:48Speaker 1: The crown is yours, Kendrick going Carson Beck twenty five
- 42:52Speaker 1: to one. Offensive Rookie of the Year Evan Abrams is
- 42:55Speaker 1: on Omar Cooper four plus touchdowns at minus one twenty
- 42:58Speaker 1: and I will be splitting my bet it despite the
- 43:01Speaker 1: dismay of the panel. Casey conceptsi on twenty eight to one,
- 43:05Speaker 1: Denzel Boston thirty to one for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Those are your plant the Flag bets and that is
