- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why, is a founding member of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Now back to Stevie's Gambling Addiction.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Welcome to BFYTW. Yeah. It's a little joke for our Patreons.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We'll hear our pre-show, which was insane.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Oh, I'm one of those.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it was fun. Yeah, I am your host, Pantsless Aaron,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and we have two very special guests with us today.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We're not that special, dude. We're here every week.
- 1:04Speaker 2: From Wheeling the Runster Ham. Ha ha ha!
- 1:07Speaker 3: Ha ha ha!
- 1:11Speaker 2: Because we can't ever get it right. We have Julie
- 1:16Speaker 2: and Simothy Jimothy.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Hi, guys.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Hey, how are you?
- 1:20Speaker 4: What's going on, gentlemen?
- 1:21Speaker 2: To give them the real name of their podcast, it's
- 1:24Speaker 2: Running the Hamster Wheel. However, there has been a running
- 1:28Speaker 2: joke since they started.
- 1:30Speaker 3: A running joke.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Pun intended.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Cannot ever get it right, so. There you go. Hi, guys.
- 1:39Speaker 4: My favorite is still running over hamsters in a wheel.
- 1:42Speaker 4: That is my favorite of the fuck up ones.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Good job. I very nearly went with wheeling the hamster run,
- 1:48Speaker 2: but I just didn't.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Next time.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Plenty to mix up the words internally as well. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: liked it.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So, hi, gang.
- 1:58Speaker 2: How disappointed are you that we're just doing a chill show?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Not at all.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Just going to relax and hang out and talk and
- 2:06Speaker 2: chat and be ourselves and be silly billies and no
- 2:10Speaker 2: games whatsoever.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Just life.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Not a one?
- 2:13Speaker 4: Not a one. Oh, shit. That means I win.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Timothy cannot possibly lose this episode.
- 2:19Speaker 4: That means I win.
- 2:22Speaker 3: No, it means you still are, you know, just you.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Let's find a way by the end. Oh, we gotta
- 2:29Speaker 2: find a way.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna start taking score of something. Not tell anybody
- 2:33Speaker 1: how I'm scoring.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Just not tell anybody how it works.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Let's see, Aaron.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I knew this show was rigged!
- 2:44Speaker 2: How many times do you use the word with the
- 2:45Speaker 2: letter Z in it?
- 2:47Speaker 1: I was going to do that.
- 2:48Speaker 6: That's fucked up.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I guess.
- 2:51Speaker 1: God damn, man.
- 2:53Speaker 4: You know, so just touching the last time I was
- 2:58Speaker 4: on the show for the seven year anniversary, I went
- 3:00Speaker 4: back and listened to the one that you picked as
- 3:03Speaker 4: the best moment. And as great as that was, that's
- 3:07Speaker 4: not what I'm going to talk about. I thought it
- 3:09Speaker 4: was the game where each person had to compliment the
- 3:12Speaker 4: other person. But if you use the same word, it
- 3:15Speaker 4: canceled everything. out the response. That was fucking fun to watch,
- 3:21Speaker 4: trying to watch people do that. That was fun.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because it was absolute chaos. Andy, for whatever reason.
- 3:30Speaker 2: They were required to use 10 words.
- 3:35Speaker 4: He used like 60.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But given that you could accidentally get yourself disqualified by
- 3:42Speaker 2: matching a word, Why would you use more than 10?
- 3:45Speaker 2: And then Andy goes and just starts going and doesn't stop.
- 3:50Speaker 2: And then I'm thinking, oh, God, he's going to go
- 3:53Speaker 2: forever and try to get everybody disqualified.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, which makes sense.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And then he stopped at 50.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 2: He made it to 50 and was like, I'm done.
- 4:05Speaker 2: And so I was like, okay, so you just used
- 4:07Speaker 2: a shit ton more words than you needed to. You're
- 4:09Speaker 2: probably going to get disqualified. And sure enough, he winds
- 4:13Speaker 2: up dragging down two other contestants with him.
- 4:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 1: So messed up.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It was wild.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's so good, though.
- 4:19Speaker 4: It was also nice to hear Jorge. It's been a
- 4:21Speaker 4: minute since I've listened to an old episode. It was good.
- 4:24Speaker 4: It was nice to hear Jorge.
- 4:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been missing him a lot. His birthday's coming
- 4:28Speaker 1: up soon.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Is it?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, the 13th. 10 days from now.
- 4:33Speaker 9: Yep.
- 4:33Speaker 5: So, yeah.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Miss you, Jorge.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 2: That was a particularly good episode to get caught.
- 4:41Speaker 1: He's in the box.
- 4:43Speaker 4: At least he's with us this time. You left him
- 4:45Speaker 4: down there by himself for seven years.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I left him.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Down here during the seven year thing. I didn't bring
- 4:52Speaker 1: him up to the room.
- 4:53Speaker 2: God damn it.
- 4:56Speaker 1: He's there in spirit. Like, he's here in spirit.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And in a box.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Anyway.
- 5:02Speaker 4: That's how I want to be somewhere. In a box.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Just in a box. Well, thank you for bringing that up.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that was awesome.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You are wrong. So that's a point away from him.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Oh, fuck.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And unfortunately, like a chill show, you can get negative points.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I got that one right. So I think I
- 5:22Speaker 1: got a point for that, right?
- 5:23Speaker 2: You do.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yes, it is.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Anyone else have anything they want to bring up about
- 5:29Speaker 2: a previous show that they can get scored.
- 5:31Speaker 4: On or not?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Get scored on? Let me score on trauma. Well, that
- 5:42Speaker 2: was a two.
- 5:43Speaker 1: That was a two.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Two points. So, yeah. Chill Show, we typically just talk
- 5:50Speaker 2: about what's been going on. Mm-hmm. I had a very
- 5:54Speaker 2: specific reason for wanting to do this chill show.
- 5:56Speaker 1: He's been wanting to have a chill show for like
- 5:58Speaker 1: a month and a half.
- 5:58Speaker 2: For two months.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And he hasn't even been on here to do the
- 6:01Speaker 1: chill show.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I got screwed out of the last chill show.
- 6:04Speaker 1: That was your fault.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Well, I was at a book event that I told
- 6:09Speaker 2: you guys about. And I thought we were going to
- 6:11Speaker 2: switch to Sunday so that I could be there. And
- 6:13Speaker 2: they're like, no, we're just going to do it ourselves.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'm like, thanks. Thanks.
- 6:17Speaker 4: And all you got out of it was sunburn.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I got it. And to make matters... You know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: I did make 200 bucks in book sales.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You did make money, so that was good.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It did make some cash, and that was very nice,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and it definitely helped pay for what I'm about to
- 6:29Speaker 2: talk about. But the sunburn on my head for two
- 6:34Speaker 2: straight weeks was not fun. Yeah, that's fucked up. That sucked.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Those are the worst.
- 6:38Speaker 2: There's still a little thingamabob.
- 6:41Speaker 6: You look a lot better. You can't really tell at all.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's mostly gone.
- 6:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But that was fun. Yeah. Where was I?
- 6:49Speaker 1: You were talking about the chill show and how we've
- 6:51Speaker 1: been not.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Having you on. How I've just not been allowed. Yes.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Nope, he's only allowed to come here to host games
- 6:55Speaker 1: and not kick him the fuck out.
- 6:56Speaker 2: That's pretty much it. I'm not allowed to relax. Ever.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I've been putting on full shows ever since. Like, I
- 7:03Speaker 2: even tried to get, like, a half chill show and
- 7:05Speaker 2: Stevie was like, no, son.
- 7:06Speaker 4: No.
- 7:07Speaker 2: You do your job or you get the boot.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he's even been doing, like, late night shows.
- 7:10Speaker 2: We'll put you in a box like Jorge and stick
- 7:11Speaker 2: you up on the top shelf.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, no.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I'll fucking do it.
- 7:14Speaker 1: There's another shelf.
- 7:16Speaker 4: He does games or he gets the hose again.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Well, shit.
- 7:25Speaker 1: So, yes, you can have your moment.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Okay. I don't want to anymore.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I got some big news of the stuff I've got.
- 7:37Speaker 2: No, I don't want it. That's fine. The moment is gone.
- 7:40Speaker 2: You ruined it.
- 7:40Speaker 10: It's gone.
- 7:40Speaker 1: We're playing games anyway.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I'm upset. We're playing games anyway. Fuck the children. Aaron,
- 7:48Speaker 2: get ready to host.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Here's the games.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I have these decks. We could use these. We could
- 7:54Speaker 4: play games out of these.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That's awesome. Christ. I am your host,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Pantsless Aaron. With me, as always, is Stevie and Augie.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Hi, guys.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And as I said, our beloved guests, Julie and Timothy
- 8:10Speaker 2: Jim with you from Running the Hansi Reel. So I
- 8:13Speaker 2: did actually have something that I wanted to talk about.
- 8:16Speaker 2: In fact, they brought it with me. This is my
- 8:18Speaker 2: GPD Win Max 2. It is a handheld laptop.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 8:24Speaker 6: Nice.
- 8:24Speaker 4: And it has.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Gamepad controls built directly into it.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Holy shit. So it is, believe it or not, an
- 8:34Speaker 2: actual handheld gaming laptop. And when I say it is
- 8:38Speaker 2: a gaming laptop, I mean exactly that. This thing has
- 8:43Speaker 2: something ridiculous in it. I think it's like a... I
- 8:47Speaker 2: can't remember the exact CPU. It's a Ryzen 7. I
- 8:52Speaker 2: think it's not a 9. But it's fucking... It's insane.
- 8:57Speaker 2: It's an 8845 or something or other. It has integrated
- 9:01Speaker 2: graphics in it. And when you say that, you go, oh,
- 9:04Speaker 2: it's not really a gaming laptop.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Integrated graphics.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It's going to be like low-end, like budget, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 2: kind of. No, not so. The thing about integrated graphics
- 9:14Speaker 2: is they get better if your RAM is faster and
- 9:18Speaker 2: if there's more of it.
- 9:20Speaker 11: Right.
- 9:21Speaker 2: So this stupid thing has 64 gigabytes of RAM. Of
- 9:25Speaker 2: DDR5 RAM operating at 6500 megahertz per second.
- 9:31Speaker 4: What the fuck?
- 9:33Speaker 2: It's ridiculously fast. And because of those 64, about 48
- 9:40Speaker 2: of those gigs are put towards graphics. This thing is
- 9:44Speaker 2: a monster.
- 9:45Speaker 6: That thing is stronger than I know some people's gaming
- 9:50Speaker 6: desktops are.
- 9:51Speaker 9: Yes.
- 9:52Speaker 1: The processor and the freaking... Jesus Christ, dude.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It's fucking nuts. It is not by any means... like
- 10:00Speaker 2: the highest of the highest end there's a build i'm
- 10:03Speaker 2: doing now that is going to be stronger but it's
- 10:05Speaker 2: obviously not a handheld it's a like a full-size computer
- 10:09Speaker 2: like you know this thing i can hold in my
- 10:12Speaker 2: hands and take with me uh and it's just absurd
- 10:16Speaker 2: um um It also came with four terabytes of NVMe SSDs, which, again,
- 10:23Speaker 2: is absurd. Is it one stick or two? It's two sticks.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You've got to be fucking kidding me. Two sticks of
- 10:28Speaker 1: two terabytes. Fuck you.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Go fuck yourself.
- 10:32Speaker 6: That thing's got more shit than my gaming laptop.
- 10:36Speaker 2: If it makes you feel better, I paid $ 1, 100 for it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You know what?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Fucking worth it, though.
- 10:41Speaker 6: For that price and what's in there.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I've had so much fun playing games on this thing,
- 10:49Speaker 2: literally anywhere, taking it into the bathroom with me, like,
- 10:52Speaker 2: just whatever.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Four-hour RPG session.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Just wherever, you know, it doesn't matter. It can take
- 10:57Speaker 2: it anywhere. The battery lasts a good long time. It's
- 11:00Speaker 2: not forever, by any means.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You get a few hours in, though, right? Yeah, you
- 11:04Speaker 2: get two to three on higher end, like, pushing it
- 11:08Speaker 2: as hard as I can.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Oh, that's cool.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But if I'm just, like, chilling, or if I'm playing
- 11:12Speaker 2: lower-end games, like I was playing Saints Row 2 this morning,
- 11:16Speaker 2: it's not going to use nearly as much. You get, like,
- 11:19Speaker 2: four to five.
- 11:20Speaker 1: That's awesome, man.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It was absolutely worth the money. I cannot believe how
- 11:27Speaker 2: monstrous it was. I didn't know. Like, I just assumed
- 11:31Speaker 2: because it was loaded with the maximum RAM and the
- 11:34Speaker 2: maximum storage that it was going to be. Right, and
- 11:38Speaker 2: that's it. And then I started playtesting things on it,
- 11:41Speaker 2: and I'm like... Like, Cyberpunk runs beautifully, looks gorgeous. Oh,
- 11:47Speaker 2: shit on.
- 11:48Speaker 4: That, yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Fucking.
- 11:51Speaker 4: How heavy is it, Aaron? Like, does it have a
- 11:53Speaker 4: lot of heft to it? I know it's small, but
- 11:54Speaker 4: does it have a lot of heft to it?
- 11:56Speaker 2: Not really.
- 11:56Speaker 6: It's... Oh, my God, dude, it's not even five pounds.
- 12:02Speaker 1: This is less than the cat.
- 12:04Speaker 4: This is less than the arrow.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I can game comfortably with it.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, that's so little.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Two pounds.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I can game comfortably with it for some time, you know,
- 12:13Speaker 2: holding it in my hands. It helps if I'm braced
- 12:16Speaker 2: on something like a table or a desk, but even
- 12:18Speaker 2: if I'm just holding it, I can do for a
- 12:21Speaker 2: good long time before I'll start to be like, you
- 12:23Speaker 2: got big hands and you can actually hold it. I'll
- 12:25Speaker 2: be honest. This is the one downside to this is
- 12:27Speaker 2: that having big hands helps because as it is like
- 12:32Speaker 2: my hands can comfortably reach the sticks and the buttons
- 12:37Speaker 2: and the triggers on the back. But I think if
- 12:39Speaker 2: you had smaller hands, it might be more difficult. Do
- 12:42Speaker 2: you want to try?
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just curious.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, especially trying to reach. Yeah, it's going to
- 12:50Speaker 2: be a little longer if you have bigger hands. You've
- 12:52Speaker 2: got a fat finger to the side. Yeah, a little bit.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So that's actually really good for you.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It's great for me. That's awesome. Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I can feel my pinkies on the fans below it. Yeah. So,
- 13:07Speaker 2: you know, if you have smaller hands, this one may
- 13:09Speaker 2: not be the best option. To be fair, this isn't
- 13:11Speaker 2: even the newest version of this. They just dropped the
- 13:15Speaker 2: Indiegogo for the GPD Win Max 3, which comes with
- 13:20Speaker 2: fucking absurd shit. But it is a bit smaller. This
- 13:26Speaker 2: is the 10.1-inch model, and the GPD Win Max 3
- 13:30Speaker 2: is back to a 9-inch, so it's a little bit smaller.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So I think it'll work for more people's hand sizes.
- 13:36Speaker 11: Right.
- 13:36Speaker 2: If you were interested in something like this, you could
- 13:39Speaker 2: either get a used GPD Win Max 1, which was
- 13:42Speaker 2: also smaller than this, or you could go with the
- 13:45Speaker 2: 3 if you're going for... higher end. I think the
- 13:48Speaker 2: cheapest one is like $ 1, 500. I'm like, fuck everything.
- 13:53Speaker 4: I realize it's way more advanced than what I'm about
- 13:55Speaker 4: to describe. Visually from here, from what I can see
- 13:59Speaker 4: over this screen, it looks like a much bigger version.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Remember the Game Boy that came out that was a
- 14:05Speaker 4: flip top?
- 14:06Speaker 2: The Game Boy Advance SP?
- 14:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 4: It looks like that.
- 14:11Speaker 8: DS.
- 14:11Speaker 4: No, not the DS. I meant that one. It was
- 14:14Speaker 4: just a small little.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah, the cute little square one. All that little tiny one.
- 14:20Speaker 2: That was one of my favorite gaming systems back in
- 14:23Speaker 2: the day. I must have taken that to the hotel
- 14:25Speaker 2: for like a year straight. All the time. Played all
- 14:30Speaker 2: the shit on it.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Goddamn.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Anyway, that was the big thing that I wanted to
- 14:34Speaker 2: get out of the way.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, that's awesome.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Because I've been meaning to talk about this beauty for
- 14:38Speaker 2: a couple months now.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Do you want to keep talking tech, or do you
- 14:41Speaker 1: just want to continue?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Let's talk about something we can get Julie involved with.
- 14:44Speaker 11: Yeah, I was going to say, for your non-tech people
- 14:47Speaker 11: out there like myself, good parts, good pictures.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I don't mean to assume that Julie's not interested in tech,
- 14:53Speaker 2: but I did see her eyes glaze over for most
- 14:55Speaker 2: of them. That's fair. I'm not a tech guy myself.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I have a... Basic idea, and that's it.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not techie at all.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And let's talk instead about Blood on the Clocktower.
- 15:11Speaker 6: Oh.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I'm down.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Which we personally would love to get Julie involved in.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Oh, my God, yes.
- 15:19Speaker 2: So, London Clocktower has... I mean, I had a feeling
- 15:26Speaker 2: the longevity of it was going to be good, like
- 15:29Speaker 2: it was going to be solid. And I feel like
- 15:31Speaker 2: nothing has proved that to me quite like the last
- 15:34Speaker 2: two games we've played. Mm-hmm. So for the uninitiated, for
- 15:39Speaker 2: anyone listening to this podcast for the first time doesn't
- 15:42Speaker 2: know what the hell Blood and the Clock Tower is,
- 15:43Speaker 2: it is a hidden identity game where everybody gets a
- 15:46Speaker 2: unique character or role. That role has a specific power.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Each power can, depending on which team you're on, help
- 15:55Speaker 2: your team out or possibly hurt your team, depending. There
- 16:00Speaker 2: are more good players than evil players, but the evil
- 16:03Speaker 2: players get to know who each other are. And the
- 16:06Speaker 2: good team is trying to find and execute the demon.
- 16:10Speaker 2: The demon is trying to survive until there's just two
- 16:13Speaker 2: players left. And... We've been playing our BFYTW on the
- 16:19Speaker 2: Clocktower series for, I think, six months at this point. Really? Yeah.
- 16:24Speaker 4: It's been a minute.
- 16:25Speaker 2: It's been six months. We started with the easiest script,
- 16:30Speaker 2: which was Trouble Brewing. For my benefit. It's got very
- 16:33Speaker 2: straightforward characters, a lot of whose abilities you probably would
- 16:37Speaker 2: have seen in other games like Werewolf and things like that.
- 16:39Speaker 2: How to Salem and all that.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 16:42Speaker 2: So it's meant to be familiar. It's meant to be
- 16:44Speaker 2: easy to understand to get people into it. But two
- 16:48Speaker 2: months ago, we started doing the sects and violets script.
- 16:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Which is much more complicated. Now, instead of one possible demon,
- 17:00Speaker 2: there are four. The minions have insane abilities.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 2: One can literally change your character on you.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Fucking pin hag.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Another can make you have to pretend you're a different character,
- 17:16Speaker 2: even though you're not.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fun.
- 17:18Speaker 2: And one straight up kills you if you nominate.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Or if you don't nominate, right? Oh, no, no, no.
- 17:24Speaker 4: That's the... I'm thinking the Bartok.
- 17:25Speaker 2: The witch curses one player, and if they nominate the
- 17:28Speaker 2: following day, they immediately die. Which has been... It's been
- 17:32Speaker 2: a lot of fun playing all these characters. But I've
- 17:35Speaker 2: also been watching, like, our players evolve over the past
- 17:40Speaker 2: six months. Like, and I know you're giggling, but you
- 17:45Speaker 2: cannot listen to episode six, which was the one where
- 17:51Speaker 2: you guys were the Oracle and the good twin. Oh, yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Oh, that was great.
- 17:56Speaker 2: That was such a good episode. That was fun. On every,
- 18:00Speaker 2: I mean, I complained later that people were talking over
- 18:03Speaker 2: me and I couldn't, like, run the fucking game.
- 18:05Speaker 9: Because people wouldn't shut up but listening to it back
- 18:09Speaker 9: i i was less pissed off by that and more
- 18:13Speaker 9: impressed by like augie literally taking the bull by the
- 18:18Speaker 9: horns and saying.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Oh dude that was fucking doing this yep yeah and
- 18:21Speaker 4: he immediately worked to.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Get everybody on side which worked a treat Because I
- 18:27Speaker 2: don't think John worked as hard to try and... No, no.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I blitzkrieged the shit out of it.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Yes, you did.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Literally did.
- 18:35Speaker 6: We muted ourselves and we had to do this one
- 18:38Speaker 6: hard and fast. It's the only way.
- 18:41Speaker 2: It was shock and awe. That's all it was.
- 18:44Speaker 4: It really was.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It was. By the end of that game, between you, Kristen, Aaron...
- 18:52Speaker 2: I can't remember who else contributed, but everybody had, like,
- 18:55Speaker 2: game-winning information and figured out exactly who was the demon
- 19:00Speaker 2: and who was the evil twin and what happened.
- 19:03Speaker 4: And I was like... I still... As hard as Augie played,
- 19:07Speaker 4: and he did, and it was awesome what he accomplished,
- 19:10Speaker 4: if it wasn't for Kristen, I don't think Goode wins
- 19:12Speaker 4: that one. I mean that sincerely. I think Kristen was
- 19:15Speaker 4: the one that saved that.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Very good. Very observant. Gina's fatal mistake was not killing...
- 19:21Speaker 2: Kristen when Bill confirmed her by picking her as the klutz.
- 19:26Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 2: She should have immediately killed her because there's no way
- 19:30Speaker 2: she comes across as evil after that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: And she's so good.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Not to mention she was the dreamer so she was
- 19:35Speaker 2: getting invaluable information every night. So yeah, if Gina had
- 19:40Speaker 2: killed her I think we have a much different game
- 19:43Speaker 2: but I still think the two of you had things
- 19:45Speaker 2: locked down so well as.
- 19:47Speaker 1: The good twins to keep.
- 19:50Speaker 2: To keep from losing that way I think you guys
- 19:52Speaker 2: probably would have figured it out by the end. I do.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Can I work together a lot? That's nice.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Can I give you can I give Julie quick background
- 19:58Speaker 4: on that particular one? Because on that particular one, normally
- 20:01Speaker 4: Augie and Smoke play different characters. But because of some techish,
- 20:06Speaker 4: not tech, but life issues going on at the time,
- 20:08Speaker 4: for lack of a better phrase, they had to sit
- 20:11Speaker 4: in the studio and play together as one character. So
- 20:15Speaker 4: they were able to, like, coordinate what they were going
- 20:18Speaker 4: to do.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 20:21Speaker 4: And it's not that you can't. But they still only
- 20:23Speaker 4: had one. One character.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And if they died, they'd both be out of the game.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Steve was violating the mech. I was behind him barking orders. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 2: pretty much.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I mean, that's really what it was. It was like,
- 20:34Speaker 1: are you taking notes?
- 20:34Speaker 2: 100% accurate. Steve did contribute. It was nice. Only a
- 20:38Speaker 2: little bit.
- 20:39Speaker 4: You know, Aaron, it's interesting. You talked about the evolution
- 20:43Speaker 4: of us all playing, and I missed my first one,
- 20:45Speaker 4: which I'm sorry to say, but I've played in all
- 20:48Speaker 4: of them except the one. And I'm coming back. It's
- 20:53Speaker 4: not like I fucked off. I just couldn't do that one. Yeah,
- 20:56Speaker 4: I was.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Genuinely excited when you got the Savant role and then
- 21:00Speaker 2: genuinely disappointed when you literally got killed first night. I know.
- 21:06Speaker 2: But if I recall correctly, I think you worked out
- 21:09Speaker 2: which was true and which was false by the end.
- 21:11Speaker 7: I did.
- 21:11Speaker 4: I did. But my point, though, is I actually, I
- 21:15Speaker 4: can't speak for anyone else playing the game, obviously, but
- 21:19Speaker 4: I am finding sex and violence easier than trouble brewing.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Oh, that's interesting.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I really am.
- 21:27Speaker 3: You would think sex and violence was easier.
- 21:29Speaker 4: That's not what it's called.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I kind of get it. It is. It's not overly simplified.
- 21:38Speaker 4: And I think that's what makes the other one harder
- 21:41Speaker 4: is because it's too simplified. This is a nice balance
- 21:45Speaker 4: of challenging and understanding, you know, like, yeah. I also
- 21:52Speaker 4: know why you start with it to get people in,
- 21:54Speaker 4: because I think if you threw us into sex and violence,
- 21:57Speaker 4: it would be like insane. So I think we did
- 22:00Speaker 4: need the buildup, but I am finding this version easier
- 22:05Speaker 4: to navigate.
- 22:08Speaker 2: That is fascinating to think about.
- 22:10Speaker 11: In this version, it kind of forces the town to
- 22:13Speaker 11: just have to act. Because whether you know what's going
- 22:19Speaker 11: on or not, there's always the possibility that there's going
- 22:22Speaker 11: to be a round one game over. Whether you're a
- 22:25Speaker 11: town person or you don't hang anyone at all, it
- 22:27Speaker 11: could be over.
- 22:29Speaker 6: And I think we can all agree we're all people
- 22:31Speaker 6: of action in games. I know I'm like one of
- 22:33Speaker 6: those people that like to get in there right away
- 22:35Speaker 6: and strike first if possible.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I guess you could say the first version allows too
- 22:39Speaker 2: much passivity. I'll agree with that 100% because you guys.
- 22:45Speaker 2: When your first few games, nobody wanted to nominate. Nobody
- 22:48Speaker 2: wanted to execute anybody. There was no reason to. And
- 22:51Speaker 2: I'm like, every shot you don't take is a shot
- 22:55Speaker 2: that doesn't hit the dean.
- 22:57Speaker 4: But I would argue that the first day execution is
- 23:02Speaker 4: probably the hardest one, no matter what version of the
- 23:05Speaker 4: game you're playing, because you just know so little about
- 23:08Speaker 4: what's going on around you, for the most part.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But you always have options.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 1: There's always.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Or at least I try to have a nice balance
- 23:16Speaker 2: of characters so that there's always someone who has already
- 23:19Speaker 2: got their information, is already good.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Yes!
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 2: They can offer themselves up to appear good so people
- 23:25Speaker 2: will trust them. And if they get executed, it doesn't
- 23:28Speaker 2: really hurt the town because their ability's already done.
- 23:31Speaker 7: Right.
- 23:31Speaker 2: You know, so I feel like there are options, especially in.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Oh, always.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Always.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:37Speaker 1: But.
- 23:38Speaker 2: The thing that I love about this game is the
- 23:40Speaker 2: fact that we still haven't really scratched the surface.
- 23:44Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 23:45Speaker 2: There's so much more. But it genuinely blew my mind
- 23:50Speaker 2: a little bit that you said Sex and Violence was
- 23:51Speaker 2: easier than Trouble Brewing.
- 23:53Speaker 4: I don't know if I want to go as far
- 23:56Speaker 4: as say easier, but for me, and again, I don't
- 24:00Speaker 4: want to speak for anyone else, but for me, it's
- 24:01Speaker 4: been easier to get... engaged in the gameplay i don't
- 24:06Speaker 4: know if it's easier to to solve or easier to
- 24:09Speaker 4: win but it's easier to get engaged in the gameplay
- 24:12Speaker 4: because there's so many different possibilities of shithead like augie
- 24:17Speaker 4: said the best there's too much passivity in the other
- 24:20Speaker 4: one this one you have to act because how many
- 24:23Speaker 4: times have we joked about the hard vorgas check because
- 24:25Speaker 4: if you don't fucking vote it's done And that's how
- 24:30Speaker 4: I fucking won the one time I actually won this thing.
- 24:33Speaker 2: And it's like, and the vortex wins. Because you didn't
- 24:38Speaker 2: do anything. Yeah. Yeah, no, I completely get it. I
- 24:44Speaker 2: genuinely thought, like, with the Pithag and the Serenovus and
- 24:48Speaker 2: Madness and all that stuff... Oh, the Madness mechanic is...
- 24:50Speaker 2: I genuinely thought... fucking funny. I genuinely thought that that
- 24:54Speaker 2: would cause so much chaos that you guys would.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Well, and it has now.
- 24:57Speaker 2: And it does, but... And I think the... I definitely
- 25:00Speaker 2: think the first two games, the good team was a
- 25:02Speaker 2: little overwhelmed.
- 25:04Speaker 4: I mean, fucking Matt turning everybody into Vortexes in the
- 25:09Speaker 4: one was like, what the fuck?
- 25:11Speaker 1: That was genius.
- 25:13Speaker 8: It was definitely game-breaking, but it was definitely funny.
- 25:17Speaker 2: For content purposes, I couldn't have been more pleased.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I was delighted.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Alright, we've been going for some time without a break.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Let's take a quick one. Alright, we're going to come back,
- 25:29Speaker 2: and when we come back, we're going to just chat
- 25:31Speaker 2: some more about some stuff. And we'll do that right
- 25:34Speaker 2: after this. Mailbag. Mailbag. Getting them letters. Pardon me, I
- 25:52Speaker 2: hope we never replace that. Like, even if somebody comes
- 25:55Speaker 2: up with an actual, like.
- 25:57Speaker 6: I think somebody has to remaster it.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Mexi wanted to do something, I thought.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought so.
- 26:03Speaker 1: We gotta send that to him.
- 26:04Speaker 6: You know what we need is a non-stoner in charge
- 26:07Speaker 6: of this shit.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It's been like two months since he said that.
- 26:11Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And I keep writing it down. Hold on, send.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I mean, if he wants to do it, I'm on board, but.
- 26:17Speaker 4: No, he has said it to me privately and publicly
- 26:22Speaker 4: that he wants to do something with that.
- 26:23Speaker 6: He wrote it into the mailbag saying that.
- 26:27Speaker 4: He did.
- 26:28Speaker 2: He did. Sorry. All right. Let's move on. Let's talk
- 26:33Speaker 2: about our actual mail. So what do we got, Stevie?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Okay, so we got some Patreon comments.
- 26:38Speaker 4: All right.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And this one's on show number 337, the chill show
- 26:42Speaker 2: when Augie was not feeling well and I was out. So, yes,
- 26:46Speaker 2: this was the show you guys did without me. Double whammy. Yes.
- 26:50Speaker 2: And eighth, it says, I am very sorry that my
- 26:52Speaker 2: last comment was too long. I shall make them shorter
- 26:54Speaker 2: from here on out. Anyway, so here's the tale of
- 26:56Speaker 2: two cities. It was the best of times. It was
- 26:58Speaker 2: the worst of times. I'm kidding. Have a good one, guys.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Let's hang some time. Edit, hang out, not hang from
- 27:04Speaker 2: a tree or anything.
- 27:10Speaker 3: We do need that disclaimer.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:16Speaker 9: I love it.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I don't know what culture is like in Germany. I
- 27:21Speaker 2: know things are shitty here in America, but we typically
- 27:25Speaker 2: don't hang ourselves from trees. It's okay. Typically.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's usually rafters with a wobbly chair.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Oh, God. Let's get out of here. Move on. Move on.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Get out of here.
- 27:38Speaker 2: In context, it's fine. The hell?
- 27:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Okay, we've got another one on the seven years of BFYTW.
- 27:49Speaker 9: Uh-oh.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah, this was not an actual, like, episode. You just posted.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I posted. I think it was when I was
- 27:56Speaker 1: extremely high and emotional.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, there's much love. It's very cute.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 2: What do we got?
- 28:02Speaker 1: Oh, this is from 8-Bit.
- 28:03Speaker 2: This is the extremely long message you referenced earlier. Okay.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I'll do this one again. I would hate that show more.
- 28:09Speaker 2: 8-Bit says, I already wrote a few words on this
- 28:11Speaker 2: in the Discord, but I don't want to repeat myself.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Aside from, congratulations on seven years. Here's to 77 more.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Fuck, 77.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I'll be a hundred and.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Why?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Fuck. I think I started listening shortly after Jorge's passing,
- 28:26Speaker 2: so I had quite the backlog to go through. But
- 28:28Speaker 2: I'm glad I did that. Maybe it's a bit presumptuous
- 28:30Speaker 2: to say, but I feel I got to know him
- 28:31Speaker 2: a little bit, despite never meeting him. Always so laid back,
- 28:35Speaker 2: yet still having a witty response to everything.
- 28:37Speaker 9: Correct.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Unlike Stevie, who I initially thought was only goofing,
- 28:42Speaker 2: yet I came to love his sense of humor and
- 28:44Speaker 2: mad genius that sometimes bursts.
- 28:46Speaker 10: Out of him.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Correct. Also, I realized he's one of those people who,
- 28:50Speaker 2: no matter the problem or the hour, is there for
- 28:53Speaker 2: you if you need them. Yes. So, correct. And despite
- 28:57Speaker 2: Aaron being the magnificent host and brain of the operation,
- 28:59Speaker 2: Stevie's the heart. A thousand fucking percent. Then Augie came in,
- 29:05Speaker 2: and as with every character introduced in a later season
- 29:08Speaker 2: of a show, I thought, I don't know about that guy.
- 29:13Speaker 2: But his humor and wit swayed me real fast. I
- 29:17Speaker 2: still laugh out loud at his response to the task
- 29:20Speaker 2: to spoil the Godfather with, he makes you an offer
- 29:23Speaker 2: you can refuse. That was.
- 29:26Speaker 4: That was good.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It was so whip fast, too. It was immediate. Funny,
- 29:32Speaker 2: and I don't think I ever heard you getting legitimately
- 29:34Speaker 2: upset about anything. I only listened to the podcast and
- 29:37Speaker 2: I can't imagine Augie without a smile on his face.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Even when being a demon in blood in the clock tower,
- 29:42Speaker 2: especially then.
- 29:45Speaker 4: It has happened.
- 29:49Speaker 2: It's not one of my favorite things to have happened,
- 29:50Speaker 2: but it has happened. And there is evidence. The show
- 29:54Speaker 2: is still up, I believe. But we won't talk about it.
- 29:57Speaker 2: And then there's Aaron. Oh, God. What to say about you?
- 30:00Speaker 2: I am told he's not wearing pants. That is all.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I'm kidding.
- 30:07Speaker 3: He's not.
- 30:08Speaker 2: The amount of work you put into the show, presenting
- 30:10Speaker 2: it all in a professional manner, even if the sound
- 30:13Speaker 2: quality didn't go along in the beginning, but now is.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Thank you. Wrangling these two stoners, getting a show out
- 30:18Speaker 2: every week, and writing two friggin' books while you're at it.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I don't know how you do it, but pants off
- 30:24Speaker 2: to you.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Pants off to you.
- 30:27Speaker 2: That's fantastic. Once more, I wish you many more years
- 30:31Speaker 2: to come with this great podcast. It's really helped me
- 30:34Speaker 2: through some terrible times, and I hope to join you
- 30:36Speaker 2: again multiple times. All the best from me to you.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Thank you so much, 8-Pit. Fuck, dude.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I love you so much. I appreciate every word, man.
- 30:47Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Can I comment on some of that? For what it's worth?
- 30:54Speaker 4: Because I think he's shortchanging himself a little bit. I've
- 30:59Speaker 4: heard him stream with you guys on Twitch a few times.
- 31:02Speaker 4: And I've watched every fucking second of it live. And
- 31:06Speaker 4: he is equally fantastic. He deserves credit there, too. He's
- 31:12Speaker 4: entertaining as hell.
- 31:13Speaker 1: And a good person.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I knew him from well before this. We used to
- 31:17Speaker 2: stream for GOG together. And when he was streaming, I
- 31:20Speaker 2: found him to be just witty and fun and a
- 31:23Speaker 2: delightful human being. He, as I do, he suffers from depression.
- 31:29Speaker 2: And I think sometimes it gets the better of him.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And I do try to, you know, lend a shoulder
- 31:36Speaker 2: and stick out for him whenever I can because I
- 31:38Speaker 2: know that dude is awesome. Yes, he's amazing. He's a
- 31:41Speaker 2: lot of fun. His skills as, like, a programmer and
- 31:44Speaker 2: game maker are not to be.
- 31:46Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Oh, they're amazing.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Whatsoever. I've seen them firsthand. Yeah. If you want to
- 31:51Speaker 2: do him and me a solid, you can go to GOG.com
- 31:55Speaker 2: and look at Doki Doki Gravity Panic.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 31:58Speaker 2: That is his game. It is a space shooter that
- 32:02Speaker 2: works kind of like Super Mario Galaxy in that you
- 32:04Speaker 2: can jump from planet to planet. And each planet has
- 32:07Speaker 2: its own gravitational pull. And you're trying to take out
- 32:12Speaker 2: enough space aliens to open the warp hole that will
- 32:15Speaker 2: let you move on to the next level. It's an
- 32:20Speaker 2: incredibly simple premise that's also really, really fun to play.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's a bit more casual than a lot of games nowadays. Right.
- 32:28Speaker 2: It's got an arcade-y kind of feel.
- 32:31Speaker 4: I think you streamed it, didn't you, Smoke?
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I know I played it.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You streamed that one. I did stream another game he played.
- 32:37Speaker 6: It was a VR game because I play.
- 32:39Speaker 4: A lot of VR games. That's the one I'm thinking.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Of, yeah.
- 32:41Speaker 1: That's Mother Forge Gunship. That's the one I– Mother Forge Gunship.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Was it Mother Forge? Yeah, Mother Forge Gunship.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Or no, Mother Gunship Forge.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I was like, it was Mother Gunship, I think it was.
- 32:53Speaker 2: My dyslexia kicked in. And most recently with Burgle Supply Company.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and we gotta play Burgle Supply Company.
- 33:02Speaker 2: That game is so much fun, I wanna play it again. Yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 2: we gotta set up another one.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Doesn't it hold more players now? Like six or something
- 33:09Speaker 4: like that?
- 33:09Speaker 2: It's something absurd, there's a lot. Yeah, worth checking out.
- 33:13Speaker 2: All right, we're never going to get through this mailbag
- 33:14Speaker 2: if we don't move. So let's get the next one out.
- 33:17Speaker 2: What do we got?
- 33:18Speaker 1: This is from 338 Discount Yorick.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 33:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 2: This is from... This is from the episode where there was,
- 33:28Speaker 2: I think, two cousins who killed each other over... A burrito? Anchiladas.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Anchilada was spicier. And William Maness comments, Story three, for
- 33:41Speaker 2: whom the Taco Bell tolls. It's so good. You clever
- 33:48Speaker 2: little chimpanzee. Okay. And then our next comment is on
- 33:55Speaker 2: show 339, the seven-year special itch.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 34:00Speaker 2: We got another comment from Bill Maness who says, Simothy
- 34:04Speaker 2: Jimothy is my current favorite moment.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Nice.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It was so spontaneous. It was so good, dude. But
- 34:12Speaker 2: it's so hard to remember my favorite because you know ADHD.
- 34:16Speaker 2: But I always have a good belly laugh every episode. Yeah,
- 34:19Speaker 2: same here. Oh, my God. That's a lot to do
- 34:22Speaker 2: week in and week out. Oh, and we got a
- 34:25Speaker 2: bunch more. There's just so much.
- 34:27Speaker 1: We can do these ones later if you want.
- 34:29Speaker 2: We can just run through them real quick.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Let's run through them real quick.
- 34:33Speaker 2: So, Steve, you posted on Facebook, and we got a
- 34:36Speaker 2: comment from Scott B., who says, wow, that's a great run.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Here's to many more.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Yeah, he's from Afterburn739. Oh, is that who he's from?
- 34:42Speaker 1: Back in the day.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Oh, Afterburn. Those guys are fun.
- 34:45Speaker 2: We got another one from David K., who says, much
- 34:48Speaker 2: love to you all for your diligence and hard work.
- 34:50Speaker 9: Awesome.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Thanks, Dad.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Thanks, Red.
- 34:52Speaker 2: And then Stevie's mom, Diane.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Aw.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Love you all.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Love you.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Thank you so much. And then Augie's mom, Doreen, says,
- 35:04Speaker 2: I love you all. Great show. Always looking forward to
- 35:06Speaker 2: listening to you.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I love you guys.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Aw, Doreen, you sweet, you sweet, lovable little... She would
- 35:13Speaker 2: be good with the beefy-eppity. Beefy-eppity. We gotta get her
- 35:16Speaker 2: on here. We gotta get her on for a beefy-eppity episode, 100%.
- 35:18Speaker 2: That'd be fun. Get her and my dad. Yes.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Those two together at the same time
- 35:24Speaker 1: would be fun as hell.
- 35:24Speaker 2: That would be it.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we should do that.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Must see TV. That's all I'm saying.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And then we had one more Facebook comment. This was
- 35:34Speaker 2: from the show 336. Stevie posted to Facebook. And our
- 35:38Speaker 2: good friend Colin Maggs.
- 35:39Speaker 1: What's up, Colin?
- 35:41Speaker 2: Posted, I smell a classic episode. Yeah, that was a classic.
- 35:46Speaker 2: That was the one with Stevie's parents.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they came on.
- 35:50Speaker 4: I told you that's got to be an annual fucking event.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Absolute classic episode.
- 35:54Speaker 6: I think that wouldn't be a bad idea every time
- 35:56Speaker 6: they come back up here from Florida.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Is that everything?
- 35:59Speaker 1: I believe so.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Beautiful.
- 36:00Speaker 11: All right.
- 36:01Speaker 1: That was a longer mailbox than we usually have.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 36:03Speaker 1: It's been a little bit.
- 36:04Speaker 2: But it's still awesome. It was a full mailbox. Thank
- 36:07Speaker 2: you so much.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Wow.
- 36:08Speaker 2: And of course, special thank you to 8-Bit for the lovely,
- 36:11Speaker 2: lovely trophy.
- 36:12Speaker 8: Love you, 8-Bit.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Thank you, buddy. All right. Let's get back to the show. Hey, Jeff.
- 36:17Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 36:18Speaker 5: Why are you whispering?
- 36:19Speaker 12: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us.
- 36:22Speaker 12: Unless we take... Massive efforts to protect our online privacy.
- 36:25Speaker 12: All the details of our lives will be in the
- 36:27Speaker 12: hands of megacorporations.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Okay, sure.
- 36:29Speaker 5: But this is the promo for our podcast. We need
- 36:32Speaker 5: people to be able to hear us this time.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Why do we need a promo?
- 36:36Speaker 5: Oh, funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 36:38Speaker 5: Oddpods Media Network.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Are they one of those global conglomerates?
- 36:42Speaker 5: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 36:45Speaker 5: great shows like ours.
- 36:46Speaker 12: Well, is there anything specific we need to say?
- 36:48Speaker 5: We should probably tell them what our podcast is about.
- 36:51Speaker 12: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 36:54Speaker 12: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 36:57Speaker 12: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 37:00Speaker 12: all buttholes.
- 37:01Speaker 5: I don't think we should say buttholes in the promo.
- 37:04Speaker 2: But we already did. Twice.
- 37:06Speaker 5: Join us every other Monday for new episodes of Suggested Articles.
- 37:10Speaker 2: A podcast.
- 37:11Speaker 6: Hey, if you're in the western New York area and
- 37:14Speaker 6: you are a fan of The Green... Head on over
- 37:17Speaker 6: to Peace, Love, and Bud at 320 South Transit Road
- 37:20Speaker 6: in Lockport, New York. Tell them BFYTW sent you. Maybe
- 37:24Speaker 6: they'll hook you up.
- 37:36Speaker 2: And we're back. So we've been talking our asses off,
- 37:40Speaker 2: and poor Julie has been sitting there in silence. Julie,
- 37:44Speaker 2: what's up with you? What's going on? Tell us about
- 37:46Speaker 2: your life. What's happening? What's the goods? What's the skin?
- 37:49Speaker 2: What's the buzz?
- 37:51Speaker 7: The skinny. I've been way too busy with my son's band.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Oh.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Oh.
- 38:01Speaker 4: What's he playing?
- 38:02Speaker 2: Like band in school or like garage band?
- 38:05Speaker 3: No, band in school.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Okay. What's he play?
- 38:08Speaker 3: He plays the flute.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Oh, nice. Very nice. Nice.
- 38:11Speaker 7: So, and then I apparently decided that becoming band president
- 38:19Speaker 7: of the Booster Club was a fantastic idea.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Aren't you also on the PTA?
- 38:26Speaker 2: Yes. I'm like, wait a minute here. Yeah. A lot
- 38:30Speaker 2: of responsibility.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Two PTAs, band booster, and.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Who can you be president of without... Technically, I don't
- 38:38Speaker 2: think there's any restrictions.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Well, I'm not the president at the PTA anymore. It's
- 38:43Speaker 3: just low-key.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Oh, thank heavens.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Yes. That I will not do ever again. I imagine.
- 38:53Speaker 7: Yeah, but this is just for the band thing is
- 38:56Speaker 7: just for this year because he's going up to high
- 38:59Speaker 7: school next year.
- 38:59Speaker 5: Nice.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I'll be doing... I won't do it again.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Or at least you get to do it one last,
- 39:07Speaker 2: you know.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of nice, though. You get to do
- 39:09Speaker 1: it with him to the next step.
- 39:11Speaker 2: It's like, okay.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, he's mortified. Oh, really?
- 39:18Speaker 7: Because I make him do stuff. Like, we just had
- 39:21Speaker 7: a dance that we had to put on for the school.
- 39:26Speaker 7: It was a fundraiser, and.
- 39:31Speaker 7: And so I made him stand outside with signs so
- 39:34Speaker 7: that people would come and And he was, like, he
- 39:37Speaker 7: was looking at me, like, hiding behind the.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Sign, like, I don't really want to do this.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Sounds about right. Yep.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yep.
- 39:47Speaker 2: That's every kid.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 39:51Speaker 7: But any other time he comes up and hugs me
- 39:54Speaker 7: when I'm at.
- 39:55Speaker 3: School, he's like, hey, Mom.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Oh, that's good.
- 39:57Speaker 9: Aw.
- 39:57Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 39:58Speaker 2: At least he's not embarrassed of you yet. He's embarrassed
- 40:01Speaker 2: of standing outside with a sign, I bet.
- 40:02Speaker 4: I mean, that's fair.
- 40:03Speaker 1: He probably doesn't twirl them yet.
- 40:05Speaker 5: That's why.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Like the ninja spinners.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Well, they have a special thing set up. These signs
- 40:12Speaker 2: probably weren't intended for spinning.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Not all of them are.
- 40:17Speaker 3: No, it wasn't a spinner.
- 40:18Speaker 4: They should be. All signs should be spun all the time. Like,
- 40:22Speaker 4: that should be a thing.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Even stop signs.
- 40:27Speaker 4: That would be fantastic to see stop signs just rotating.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Like a pinwheel.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Being like... Cartoon.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Already don't pay attention to them, so why not make
- 40:40Speaker 4: them entertaining at least, you know?
- 40:42Speaker 2: Everywhere I drive, I feel like I'm on the Teletubbies. Wild. Oh,
- 40:50Speaker 2: that's nuts.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So other than band, what else has been up?
- 41:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's pretty much it.
- 41:03Speaker 7: It actually takes way more of my time than I
- 41:05Speaker 7: want it to, to be honest.
- 41:08Speaker 1: It does sound like it's a lot of work.
- 41:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:10Speaker 2: But it's cool that you're doing it, though.
- 41:12Speaker 1: How do you fit in podcasting?
- 41:15Speaker 4: It's been a challenge.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 41:17Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Thankfully, we record a lot in advance, so it's not
- 41:23Speaker 4: affecting our release schedule, but the actual getting together to
- 41:27Speaker 4: record has been tricky lately.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I can see that. Yeah, I mean, you're in different
- 41:33Speaker 1: parts of the country. Yeah, because it's different time zones.
- 41:37Speaker 6: And on top of that, you've got family stuff, your
- 41:39Speaker 6: own things, and then all the extracurriculars.
- 41:42Speaker 1: That's got to be insane.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and then I've been getting sick a lot.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I think there's stuff going around.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah, especially in schools. Everybody's getting sick.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to say, half of your household
- 41:56Speaker 2: works in a school.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Yeah, we all work in a school, so it's like,
- 41:58Speaker 1: holy fuck.
- 41:59Speaker 2: You guys are going to be sick all the fucking time.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I was sick that first week for like a day.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Or super, like, resistant to stuff like that. Now we're fine.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Eventually, eventually you'll be super resistant. By the time winter hits, man,
- 42:11Speaker 1: we're going.
- 42:12Speaker 4: To be fine. George Carlin had a great line about that.
- 42:15Speaker 4: He said, the best way to boost your immune system
- 42:18Speaker 4: is to swim in the East River. I think it
- 42:20Speaker 4: was something like that.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I think that's how you get hepatitis. Yeah.
- 42:24Speaker 4: I mean, that's probably... I think.
- 42:25Speaker 2: That's how you get all the itis.
- 42:27Speaker 5: All.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Yeah, really.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Literally all of itis.
- 42:30Speaker 1: All the bad ones.
- 42:31Speaker 2: That's going to be another.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Are there any good itises?
- 42:33Speaker 2: That's another point.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Did you just fake yourself? I gave myself a point.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I thought it was good. I think he's allowed to.
- 42:42Speaker 2: He is the host.
- 42:43Speaker 4: He very rarely gets points because he doesn't get to play,
- 42:46Speaker 4: so I think he deserves points.
- 42:49Speaker 6: You know, I have a game almost done. It's a
- 42:51Speaker 6: whole show, too, so hold on. It's going to happen.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Some year. As long as my phone doesn't get erased,
- 42:59Speaker 1: we're fine.
- 43:01Speaker 4: The 14-year anniversary smoke, that's when the next seven years,
- 43:05Speaker 4: that's when you'll.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I got an idea, guys.
- 43:08Speaker 11: It's okay.
- 43:09Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 43:10Speaker 1: 14-year itchies. Because it's plural. Because it's tubble.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So it's itchies.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Itchies.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Itchies. Does anybody have anything else they would like to
- 43:20Speaker 2: talk about?
- 43:22Speaker 4: I'm here.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Hi, CJ.
- 43:24Speaker 1: We can try to give him a point.
- 43:25Speaker 9: What's up?
- 43:26Speaker 2: What's up?
- 43:27Speaker 4: I know. I know. If anything, I'm going to lose
- 43:29Speaker 4: more points. I'm trying to see how negative I can
- 43:31Speaker 4: get at this point. Like, that's where I'm at.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Dating again. He's so pessimistic. I might as well point.
- 43:38Speaker 2: I mean, it just seemed.
- 43:41Speaker 1: OK, no, no, no. We got to ask the relevant questions.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm trying to like it. We did at
- 43:46Speaker 2: the start of the show. Real or robot. He went real.
- 43:48Speaker 2: So I did.
- 43:49Speaker 1: He did.
- 43:49Speaker 2: So that's probably correct. Yeah. It's probably correct. It's probably correct.
- 43:55Speaker 1: You never know.
- 43:57Speaker 2: She could be in disguise. It just feels right, I guess.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Without getting into details that are too private.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Okay, so here's what I want to know. What year
- 44:08Speaker 1: are we in?
- 44:10Speaker 9: 26.
- 44:10Speaker 1: In 2026. Hey, dude, I've been traveling a lot, all right?
- 44:14Speaker 1: Leave me alone. Steve and I are bitches from.
- 44:18Speaker 2: 14 years ago. So....
- 44:21Speaker 1: How did this happen?
- 44:23Speaker 6: I know you have the capability of dating things, but like,
- 44:27Speaker 6: was it an internet thing?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Was it, hey, I saw you on.
- 44:30Speaker 2: The real world?
- 44:31Speaker 4: Wait, wait, what? I missed part of this. I'm sorry.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Okay.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Did you order her online?
- 44:48Speaker 2: I didn't say order.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I didn't say order.
- 44:51Speaker 4: I said met.
- 44:54Speaker 2: How did this happen?
- 44:56Speaker 1: It's not like it was the end of the world,
- 44:58Speaker 1: the apocalypse.
- 44:59Speaker 4: How did this happen?
- 45:00Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 45:03Speaker 3: No.
- 45:04Speaker 1: He's allowed to have happiness, guys. He's allowed.
- 45:07Speaker 3: What did you do?
- 45:10Speaker 6: Okay, let me rephrase my fucking question. CJ, when you
- 45:14Speaker 6: met this wonderful person, I'm assuming it's a person, right?
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yes.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Okay, thank God. See, stop laughing. Okay, see, Timothy, when
- 45:24Speaker 1: you met this real life person, was it through the internet?
- 45:29Speaker 1: Was it out in the world? Was it random? Was
- 45:31Speaker 1: it through a phone number in the back of a magazine?
- 45:35Speaker 1: That's still real. No, I've met people through magazines.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Auggie's about to die.
- 45:42Speaker 2: It's a new favorite moment. It's a new favorite moment.
- 45:46Speaker 2: We just keep topping ourselves.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Found her in a Batman comic.
- 45:52Speaker 6: I'm not saying I haven't met people through Batman comics before,
- 45:56Speaker 6: because I have.
- 45:57Speaker 2: I think that was a mistake. No, it wasn't.
- 45:59Speaker 1: It was one of the best times of my life.
- 46:01Speaker 6: Ugh.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Thanks, Jim.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Before or after getting arrested. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:06Speaker 1: So answer the question.
- 46:08Speaker 4: No, I mean, I did meet her through one of
- 46:12Speaker 4: those dating sites.
- 46:13Speaker 6: Oh, cool, dude.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Okay, so what's it like doing the dating site thing?
- 46:17Speaker 4: It sucks. It's actually something that we're going to be
- 46:20Speaker 4: covering soon on our show in more detail is that.
- 46:24Speaker 4: But yeah, it does. Okay.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Experience would bring like more perspective to that topic too yeah.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Yeah well i mean i listen i've been i've been
- 46:32Speaker 4: off and on those fucking things for 20 years now
- 46:35Speaker 4: so like it's not like it and.
- 46:38Speaker 2: You know do not ask me to guest on that episode.
- 46:41Speaker 6: How many times you've been doing dating apps once no
- 46:45Speaker 6: shit yeah for five minutes five minutes.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Yeah How'd it go?
- 46:51Speaker 1: You got hooked.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Obviously not. Five minutes, you were set.
- 46:53Speaker 2: It's only her and it was the wrong app. Fucking purely.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I mean, five minutes is not... It was closer to
- 46:57Speaker 2: a month. Okay. But you actually, like... Yeah, I can't
- 47:00Speaker 2: remember what it was. It was Tinder or some shit
- 47:02Speaker 2: like that. It might have been Bumble. I don't know. Right.
- 47:06Speaker 2: But I swiped....
- 47:09Speaker 9: Right.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Which I assume.
- 47:10Speaker 9: Right.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 47:11Speaker 9: Right.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 47:12Speaker 1: It'd be funny if this whole time he's going the
- 47:13Speaker 1: wrong way.
- 47:14Speaker 4: No, thank you.
- 47:17Speaker 3: No, thank you.
- 47:18Speaker 4: No, thank you.
- 47:18Speaker 2: I double checked to make sure I was doing it right.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Because I would have done that for sure.
- 47:22Speaker 2: And I must have swiped right on about 50 people
- 47:24Speaker 2: and I got exactly one match.
- 47:26Speaker 11: Okay.
- 47:26Speaker 2: And it was Kyla.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Oh, I know her.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 47:30Speaker 1: She's been on the show.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yes. Awesome. Yes.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Well, that's good, because you guys have, like, chemistry together.
- 47:35Speaker 3: No.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Well, not that chemistry. Like, friendship chemistry.
- 47:38Speaker 2: She swiped right because we're friends.
- 47:39Speaker 1: And that's it.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Like, I'd have coffee with that dude. Anyway, ever since then,
- 47:45Speaker 2: I have not gone back.
- 47:47Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 47:47Speaker 2: I was like, fuck dating sites. This is pointless. It's
- 47:50Speaker 2: just another popularity contest, and I've never won those, so
- 47:53Speaker 2: fuck it. I mean, who has? Nobody.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Just two for me.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Nobody good. Yeah, right.
- 47:59Speaker 5: I'm evil.
- 48:00Speaker 6: But your experience on the dating sites, have you used
- 48:03Speaker 6: a variety of them or you just stuck to one?
- 48:05Speaker 4: Oh, I know. I'm on a lot of them. Yeah.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Yeah. And obviously it's working for you.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Uh, no, you know what? Cause Aaron's kind of hit
- 48:16Speaker 4: the nail on the head. That's, that's more of how
- 48:19Speaker 4: it functions. The one for every like 50, like it's,
- 48:22Speaker 4: it's a rare fucking thing to get matched. At least,
- 48:25Speaker 4: you know, in my experience. Um, so it, it was,
- 48:30Speaker 4: it was weird.
- 48:32Speaker 2: For sure.
- 48:32Speaker 4: It's also very expensive.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Okay, you have to pay?
- 48:37Speaker 4: Because here's the thing. You can use them for free,
- 48:41Speaker 4: but if someone swipes that they like you, it won't
- 48:45Speaker 4: tell you unless you pay. Now, what it will tell
- 48:48Speaker 4: you is if you happen to swipe on the same person,
- 48:51Speaker 4: it will tell you that it matched. But then it's
- 48:53Speaker 4: really just a random fucking guessing game. But if you
- 48:56Speaker 4: pay for it, it'll show you this person swipe right
- 48:59Speaker 4: on you. Do you also want to swipe right on them?
- 49:02Speaker 4: The problem is most of them start at like $ 50
- 49:06Speaker 4: a month.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 49:08Speaker 6: Yes.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Does it just let you see a message?
- 49:12Speaker 4: To see messages? To see matches? It's not even messages, Smoke.
- 49:15Speaker 4: It's to see matches.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Damn. It's like a plugger for the messages.
- 49:19Speaker 4: No no no no it's it's all encompassed into 50
- 49:23Speaker 4: but it's still like but if you do if you
- 49:25Speaker 4: do tinder bumble hinge okcupid plenty of fish you're talking
- 49:30Speaker 4: easily like 300 hours a month you're putting out like
- 49:33Speaker 4: you know i mean i.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Got porn i don't need companionship that bad if i
- 49:37Speaker 6: if something happened i'm just like i'm good Fuck it.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I got VR.
- 49:43Speaker 2: I'm fine.
- 49:45Speaker 1: There's VR porn on Pornhub.
- 49:47Speaker 3: You're good.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Actually, I was the one that told you that.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and that proved that, yeah, you were right. Point
- 49:55Speaker 1: for Timothy.
- 49:56Speaker 3: He was right.
- 49:57Speaker 4: There we go. I get a point for that.
- 49:59Speaker 1: That brings you out of the hole.
- 50:01Speaker 2: You are at zero, sir. You are at zero.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Being in the hole is how I figured that out.
- 50:07Speaker 9: Um.
- 50:09Speaker 3: No, you weren't in a hole. That was the problem,
- 50:12Speaker 3: wasn't it?
- 50:14Speaker 4: Oh, my God. But, yeah. No, she's cool people, and
- 50:21Speaker 4: we're enjoying each other's company. It's literally, like, what time
- 50:24Speaker 4: is it? It's been, like, 56 hours since we first
- 50:27Speaker 4: met at this point. Like, it's very, very fresh.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Oh, it's very, very new.
- 50:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:31Speaker 1: And you told her you were a podcaster, and that's
- 50:33Speaker 1: very brave of you.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Very.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Like, honestly. Smoke, it's the only positive thing I have.
- 50:41Speaker 1: I mean, you got a good wardrobe. I'll give you that.
- 50:44Speaker 4: No, I mean, yeah. But I... Yeah, that's true. In
- 50:53Speaker 4: all realness, I'm also getting very close to the move.
- 50:56Speaker 4: So I'm getting very close and ready for that, for
- 50:59Speaker 4: the move to Arizona. The other coast.
- 51:02Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 4: So, getting that ready, and then very quickly, because I
- 51:08Speaker 4: know we're doing time, but as you all are, I'm
- 51:11Speaker 4: a gamer, and this year has been very expensive for
- 51:15Speaker 4: games for me. I've probably bought like eight new games
- 51:18Speaker 4: this year, and there's still two more to come. Like,
- 51:20Speaker 4: it's crazy, yeah. But one of them is a game
- 51:24Speaker 4: called Ace Combat 8, which is a.
- 51:30Speaker 4: So then you all, you three are familiar with it.
- 51:32Speaker 4: For those who may not be, it's a fighter pilot
- 51:36Speaker 4: dogfighting type of game. And because I pre-ordered it, I
- 51:41Speaker 4: got a set of patches. Are you guys still there?
- 51:46Speaker 4: Because you're frozen.
- 51:47Speaker 2: They were frozen?
- 51:48Speaker 4: Yeah, visually you're frozen, but as long as you're there,
- 51:51Speaker 4: that's okay.
- 51:52Speaker 3: I don't see them frozen.
- 51:54Speaker 4: They're frozen on your end. Okay, good. Anyway, so there were,
- 51:59Speaker 4: as pre-ordering it, they gave me the patches that you
- 52:02Speaker 4: would get, like they would go on like a fighter
- 52:03Speaker 4: pilot jacket, like those patches for what's already in the game.
- 52:06Speaker 4: And this is one of them, if you can hold
- 52:10Speaker 4: on to me.
- 52:11Speaker 9: Nope. Nope.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Put your face in front of it.
- 52:13Speaker 2: There you go.
- 52:15Speaker 3: There it is.
- 52:16Speaker 4: I think I think that's my next tattoo.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Are there numbers on it, like a flight number or anything?
- 52:23Speaker 4: No, it's just the music. No, but I think that's
- 52:25Speaker 4: my next tattoo. I'm not joking. I think I'm going
- 52:28Speaker 4: to get that on me. So I'm very excited. Not
- 52:30Speaker 4: because I'm such a fan of the game, but it
- 52:32Speaker 4: fits another tattoo that I already have. I have a
- 52:36Speaker 4: bleeding G clef on my forearm. So I think it
- 52:39Speaker 4: would fit nicely with that.
- 52:40Speaker 2: That'd be fucking cool, dude.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Are you going to do the blue background, too?
- 52:45Speaker 4: No, just the note, probably.
- 52:48Speaker 2: You know what?
- 52:48Speaker 1: That would look really, really good on your lower back.
- 52:50Speaker 2: You put it on the right thing.
- 52:52Speaker 4: You want me to get a tramp stamp? I didn't
- 52:54Speaker 4: say that word.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
- 52:59Speaker 4: You already think I can't get a woman without mail ordering,
- 53:03Speaker 4: and now you want me to get a tramp stamp.
- 53:05Speaker 4: What the fuck?
- 53:06Speaker 1: I just want to know the venue you took. You
- 53:08Speaker 1: very clearly can.
- 53:09Speaker 2: You just have to pay 50 bucks a month.
- 53:12Speaker 3: I mean, you did order her. Technically.
- 53:15Speaker 2: If you had to put a musical chord as a
- 53:18Speaker 2: tramp stamp on your back.
- 53:19Speaker 4: What would it be?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Would it be da-da-da-da?
- 53:21Speaker 1: Oh, like the whole fucking... I'll.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Tell you exactly what mine would be. It would be
- 53:26Speaker 2: like the scale so you could see what note it was,
- 53:29Speaker 2: and then there would be a little hashtag in front
- 53:32Speaker 2: of it, so it would be B-sharp.
- 53:37Speaker 4: If I'm going to put it... I'll answer your question.
- 53:41Speaker 4: I think the Imperial March from Star Wars.
- 53:44Speaker 2: But with my luck, I'd screw it up and it
- 53:46Speaker 2: would be B-flat. Good night, everybody. That's not the message
- 53:52Speaker 2: I intend to give. No, that's not cool, man.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm all about getting new ink. Like, I got
- 54:00Speaker 1: more shit.
- 54:00Speaker 6: I'm already talking to the artist to get in, like,
- 54:03Speaker 6: a full day sessions and coming up.
- 54:04Speaker 4: Yeah, you were saying that on the seven-year show.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:07Speaker 1: I'm fucking, I'm hyped.
- 54:09Speaker 6: I got my sister going to my artist soon. She's
- 54:11Speaker 6: getting this fucking Dark Evil Disney thing done.
- 54:13Speaker 2: It's gonna be sick.
- 54:16Speaker 4: Um, but yeah, that's, That's I mean, it's just getting
- 54:19Speaker 4: ready for the for the move. It's it's a there's
- 54:22Speaker 4: a lot going on. And I booked the movers. It
- 54:25Speaker 4: cost me a grand more than I was expecting. So
- 54:27Speaker 4: that's always fun. Who knew five grand from Missouri to Arizona?
- 54:33Speaker 4: But that's what it's going to cost. So much, man.
- 54:36Speaker 2: That's so.
- 54:36Speaker 4: Yeah. And he's still cutting me a deal even at
- 54:40Speaker 4: that price.
- 54:40Speaker 2: So, yeah. Fuck.
- 54:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I mean, moving cross-country is not cheap, Steve. No.
- 54:46Speaker 1: No, it's not. No, it's not. I mean, I didn't
- 54:49Speaker 1: have to move as much stuff as you.
- 54:51Speaker 2: I bought a.
- 54:51Speaker 6: I had a Cavalier at the time when I lived
- 54:53Speaker 6: in Utah, and I sold it for a Honda CR-V,
- 54:57Speaker 6: and I packed everything I owned in it and drove
- 54:59Speaker 6: back here.
- 54:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I owned quite a lot. I didn't have a
- 55:02Speaker 4: lot either, so it didn't really matter.
- 55:03Speaker 3: So.
- 55:07Speaker 4: But yeah that's it and then just you know like
- 55:09Speaker 4: we said there's been a bit of a struggle with
- 55:12Speaker 4: scheduling but still doing the show with Jules and having
- 55:15Speaker 4: fun with that and you know that's life that's life
- 55:19Speaker 4: here in the middle of the fucking country.
- 55:21Speaker 6: Yeah Podcasts and video games.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Pretty much.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Now that we've found out, how did this happen? I
- 55:33Speaker 2: didn't mean it like that. Still can't believe it. Still
- 55:37Speaker 2: can't believe it. Augie, do you have anything you want
- 55:40Speaker 2: to talk about? No, no. Not much. I've been starting
- 55:46Speaker 2: a new job. I'm working as an alternate cook. It's
- 55:49Speaker 2: been fun. Short days, so it makes the quick and
- 55:54Speaker 2: easy and quite enjoyable. Uh, and yeah, uh, now I'm
- 56:00Speaker 2: getting better.
- 56:00Speaker 8: So now I have all this extra free time, kind
- 56:02Speaker 8: of like a little bit in the afternoon to get
- 56:03Speaker 8: other stuff done that I normally didn't have time to do, uh,
- 56:07Speaker 8: towards the end of the day, we were rushing to
- 56:08Speaker 8: get it done. Uh, so now I can do a
- 56:11Speaker 8: lawn work, get our fire pit fixed up, get our
- 56:15Speaker 8: driveway leveled before.
- 56:17Speaker 2: It sinks into the ground.
- 56:19Speaker 8: Um, I just harvested all my sunflowers recently and I
- 56:24Speaker 8: have to still separate all the seeds.
- 56:26Speaker 2: I have like, Thousands of edible sunflower seeds.
- 56:30Speaker 5: Wild.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome.
- 56:31Speaker 2: I can replant, put it on ice and replant.
- 56:32Speaker 1: They were huge this year. He just keeps repurposing the
- 56:35Speaker 1: same sunflower generations.
- 56:37Speaker 5: So, yeah.
- 56:37Speaker 6: It's a generation I've had for a while now. Dude,
- 56:39Speaker 6: the one stalk looked like fucking bamboo. It was like
- 56:42Speaker 6: three inches in diameter. They were fucking so thick.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Wild.
- 56:45Speaker 1: It was insane.
- 56:46Speaker 8: Yeah, that's been fun messing around with that stuff. And then, yeah,
- 56:51Speaker 8: I just recently... Because I got paid again. I recently
- 56:54Speaker 8: got my hands on Monster Hunter Wilds. So I'm going
- 56:58Speaker 8: to dig into that Monster Hunter game and probably disappear.
- 57:02Speaker 2: For, like, the rest of winter. Fair enough. Because that's
- 57:06Speaker 2: going to consume my life.
- 57:08Speaker 4: Right, yeah. He'll resurface every Saturday for, like, two hours
- 57:11Speaker 4: and then disappear again. Okay, I got to.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Go back and grind.
- 57:14Speaker 3: Let me go.
- 57:15Speaker 7: Okay.
- 57:16Speaker 1: And then the construction on the apartment will be done
- 57:18Speaker 1: hopefully tomorrow.
- 57:19Speaker 2: The furnace. That's cool. Furnace, AC done.
- 57:22Speaker 4: They're still working on that? Jesus.
- 57:24Speaker 1: We need to get special parts ordered.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Our apartment's kind of custom. We have to custom do
- 57:30Speaker 1: everything for this.
- 57:32Speaker 2: But that's pretty much it. It's like another two hours
- 57:35Speaker 2: of work and then it's over.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Should be done. Hopefully before the Bills game.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be nice.
- 57:40Speaker 1: God, I hope so. And then we bought a water cooler.
- 57:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 1: For the apartment because fuck yeah.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Like an actual water cooler.
- 57:46Speaker 1: It's an actual like office water cooler. An actual office
- 57:49Speaker 1: water cooler. It's got a hot, it's like 186 degrees.
- 57:52Speaker 1: It does room temperature and cold, like ice cold.
- 57:54Speaker 5: Wild.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Fuck yeah, do five gallons of water.
- 57:56Speaker 2: It's hot. Hell yeah.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Come here for the apocalypse. I've got hot and cold water.
- 58:03Speaker 2: At least five gallons of it.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Only five gallons. Bring your own gallons.
- 58:07Speaker 4: Bring your own gallons.
- 58:11Speaker 3: But does it use electricity? It has to use electricity.
- 58:14Speaker 1: If you want it hot or cold, but it doesn't
- 58:16Speaker 1: need it to dispense. Otherwise, they'll just do room temperature.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I'm just happy.
- 58:22Speaker 1: I'm lazy. I hate waiting, man.
- 58:24Speaker 6: You got those little filter things, you put some water in.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Let's wait 20 minutes. Alright, put some more water in.
- 58:29Speaker 8: No!
- 58:29Speaker 1: I want my purified water now.
- 58:34Speaker 4: You could have just gotten a rear refrigerator with the
- 58:36Speaker 4: thing on it.
- 58:37Speaker 2: They're expensive. There's a few steps involved that need to
- 58:42Speaker 2: happen before we can get something that strong installed.
- 58:44Speaker 6: Like redoing the electricity up in the apartment.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Electricity helps.
- 58:50Speaker 2: The problem is the place we live in is a
- 58:52Speaker 2: place we've been living in since my childhood. And it
- 58:56Speaker 2: was already like a hundred.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Year old farmhouse or something.
- 59:01Speaker 2: That has been refurbished a billion times. Damn. So it's
- 59:05Speaker 2: an old house. Raise it to the ground. Start over.
- 59:08Speaker 2: I mean.
- 59:08Speaker 10: at this point there's enough investment in it that we're
- 59:12Speaker 10: actually now we can't we can't it's actually a better
- 59:16Speaker 10: quality than it's probably been in years it's.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Looking good though it's getting there it's getting there hell yeah.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Cool All right. Yeah, I don't have anything else, so
- 59:27Speaker 2: I think that should just about do it.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a chill, chill show.
- 59:30Speaker 2: That is a chill, chill show.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Yeah, very chill.
- 59:32Speaker 2: We had a good time. Yeah. We had some moments.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Reeling the Ramster Ram.
- 59:38Speaker 4: How did that happen?
- 59:40Speaker 2: Hamster Ram? What the hell is that? Reeling the Hamster Ram. No,
- 59:43Speaker 2: Reeling the Brunster Ham, I think is what it was.
- 59:46Speaker 2: In any event. Yeah, please check out Running the Hamster Week.
- 59:53Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 59:55Speaker 2: For which Julie and Timothy Jimothy are the owners and
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: primary artists. Entertainers. Entertainers. Yes.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: On the comedic foil to Julie, apparently. So that's, you know.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: Julie's pretty fucking funny.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: Yeah, dude, I've been laughing a lot more at her
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: than you.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: No, you've been laughing at me. You're laughing with Julie.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: That's true.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: As it should be.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: As it should be.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: And in true fine BFYTW fashion, here's the final scores.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: I have one. Jules has one. Stevie has one. Augie
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: and CJ are at zero.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: I think Augie got two. I just didn't mark them down.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Oh, you know what? Then Augie wins.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Augie wins.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Good job, Augie.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Good job, Augie.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: CJ, sorry you're in last place.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: I mean.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: Should I not be anywhere else?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: You did get out of the hole, though.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: That is true.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: You don't owe us points. Perfect, yeah.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: No, I think I still do. I think I still do.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: I think there's still points owed.
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: You don't want me to send Augie down after you, man.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: He's got his Sicilian blood and his little Sicilian bat ready.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Dude, if you would lower the fucking interest rate on them,
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: it would be easier to fucking pay for it. You
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: got it in like.
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: Oh, the inflation's going apeshit. We need to make ours too.
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: There's a lot of operation costs here when I have
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: to send Augie to these places.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: Oh, mercy.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: That's going to be it from us. Thank God. Thank
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you so much for listening. I hope you've enjoyed the show.
