- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle, I think anyway, Yeah, it's
- 0:06Speaker 1: me being here doing stuff. It was really cold out
- 0:09Speaker 1: and now it's not cold anymore. And I don't know
- 0:11Speaker 1: what's going on cause it's what month, is it, June?
- 0:15Speaker 1: So a little bit weird, but whatever, everything's fine, not really,
- 0:19Speaker 1: but that part is probably okay. So we're gonna talk
- 0:25Speaker 1: about eighty six, episode fifteen today, but before we do,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I wanted to share a couple of things with you.
- 0:32Speaker 1: One of them is just like, I want to be
- 0:34Speaker 1: honest with you. Most of the time when I'm doing
- 0:38Speaker 1: this podcast. I think most seasons I've like really enjoyed
- 0:43Speaker 1: doing it, like sort of taking the notes, but then
- 0:46Speaker 1: actually like, you know, talking about it with you. I mean,
- 0:49Speaker 1: in theory, I'm basically just talking about it with myself,
- 0:51Speaker 1: but you get it and all that stuff. But like
- 0:55Speaker 1: a couple of the seasons I didn't have a really
- 0:57Speaker 1: great time doing and I'm thinking this might be one
- 1:02Speaker 1: of them. I don't know what it is about this show,
- 1:06Speaker 1: but I am not enjoying it as much as I
- 1:10Speaker 1: thought I would. And I don't just mean like the
- 1:13Speaker 1: act of doing it, because a lot of this is
- 1:15Speaker 1: because I don't feel good right now, and everything seems
- 1:18Speaker 1: really crushing and terrible. So that's not anyone's fault except
- 1:21Speaker 1: for my fault maybe. But the other thing about it
- 1:24Speaker 1: is like I'm just not enjoying the show as much
- 1:28Speaker 1: as I did when I originally watched it, So I
- 1:31Speaker 1: don't know what the fuck that is, and I don't
- 1:33Speaker 1: know if it's gonna get better. I'm hoping that I
- 1:36Speaker 1: think it's episode seventeen or eighteen. There's one of those
- 1:38Speaker 1: episodes there that like change the way I felt about
- 1:41Speaker 1: everything when I watched it the first time. So I'm
- 1:43Speaker 1: hoping when we hit that, I will basically go like,
- 1:47Speaker 1: oh fuck, I remember why I love this. But right
- 1:50Speaker 1: now I'm not feeling that, and it's it's making me
- 1:52Speaker 1: feel really weird. So if you're like listening to this, obviously,
- 1:57Speaker 1: because if you're not, you're you're not gonna hear this.
- 1:59Speaker 1: But if you are, and you have opinions on eighty
- 2:03Speaker 1: six and how this is going, like email me and
- 2:07Speaker 1: tell me about them, please, my god. Please. No. I mean,
- 2:11Speaker 1: you don't really have to, but if you want to,
- 2:13Speaker 1: you can, because I'm interested to hear what people think
- 2:16Speaker 1: about it as of like right now, because I think
- 2:19Speaker 1: it's a good show, but there was something that I'm
- 2:21Speaker 1: not like connecting with as much as I thought I would,
- 2:24Speaker 1: and it's just making me feel sad. The other thing
- 2:27Speaker 1: I wanted to say because I haven't, but I've been
- 2:31Speaker 1: thinking about it for multiple episodes. Maybe basically the entire
- 2:34Speaker 1: show is this show does a terrible job of over
- 2:37Speaker 1: explaining things in the sense that like characters say things
- 2:43Speaker 1: to explain it to the audience in a way that
- 2:45Speaker 1: no one would ever talk to another person in real life, like,
- 2:49Speaker 1: for example, not using eighty six, but just using an
- 2:52Speaker 1: example in general. Let's say I'm gonna call my sister
- 2:55Speaker 1: on the phone. So I call her and I say, hey,
- 2:58Speaker 1: my only younger sister, how are you doing today? How
- 3:02Speaker 1: is your job as an architectural historian going? No one
- 3:06Speaker 1: would ever say that, right, I mean, the whole point
- 3:09Speaker 1: of that was to explain to you that I have
- 3:11Speaker 1: a younger sister and that she's an architectural historian, so
- 3:14Speaker 1: now you know that, which might be relevant to the
- 3:17Speaker 1: plot if there was a plot, and I wasn't just
- 3:19Speaker 1: giving you an example, but no one would talk like
- 3:22Speaker 1: that in real life. And it's weird and it makes
- 3:25Speaker 1: me uncomfortable, and it's like it just kind of takes
- 3:27Speaker 1: me out of things. So I mean, obviously, if I
- 3:30Speaker 1: was gonna call my sister, I would say, hey, what's
- 3:33Speaker 1: going on, how's work going? That would be it. I mean,
- 3:37Speaker 1: assuming that's what we're talking about, I really say, like, hey,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I watched that episode of the show that you wanted
- 3:42Speaker 1: me to watch, and it fucking destroyed me and I
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't know how to live anymore. But the example works regardless.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So eighty six has a habit of doing this constantly,
- 3:52Speaker 1: having characters talk to each other and present information that
- 3:56Speaker 1: we need to know to the other character who already
- 3:59Speaker 1: knows this information, and it pisces me off. And I
- 4:03Speaker 1: don't think I don't really know because I haven't read
- 4:05Speaker 1: that many of the light novels, and honestly, I don't
- 4:08Speaker 1: read a lot of things that don't have pictures constantly.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I really like comics more than I like books. I'm sorry,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but I doubt this is a problem that is coming
- 4:19Speaker 1: from the light novel. I would assume this is coming
- 4:21Speaker 1: from the change in media. Because when you're writing, like
- 4:24Speaker 1: especially if it's in third person or even in first person,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you can say to the audience outside of the context
- 4:30Speaker 1: of a conversation, information like you can say, oh, this
- 4:33Speaker 1: person is this person's sister and they're an architectural historian
- 4:36Speaker 1: that kind of thing without it being weird. And when
- 4:39Speaker 1: you're translating into a different media that's mostly visual, you
- 4:42Speaker 1: have to figure out how to get that information across.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So I understand that it's got to be challenging, and
- 4:48Speaker 1: that's probably what's going on here. It's just so interesting
- 4:51Speaker 1: to see the difference between translating a light novel to
- 4:55Speaker 1: anime versus a manga to anime, because manga is basically
- 4:59Speaker 1: the same thing upt the pictures move and you can
- 5:02Speaker 1: hear the people, but like the way you're communicating points
- 5:06Speaker 1: can be very similar. So yeah, it's just interesting. It's
- 5:10Speaker 1: not the end of the world that this is happening here,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and there are plenty of shows, a substantial amount of
- 5:17Speaker 1: media that does this shit that bothers me. I think
- 5:20Speaker 1: coming off of like the last thing we did Banana Fish,
- 5:24Speaker 1: where like we didn't even know people's names half the
- 5:26Speaker 1: time because of how little Akimi Yoshita wanted to say
- 5:31Speaker 1: stuff outside of normal conversations, Like is part of why
- 5:35Speaker 1: this is throwing me so much, but like, yeah, I
- 5:38Speaker 1: just wanted to tell you about it. And also I
- 5:41Speaker 1: just want to say, if you are loving eighty six
- 5:44Speaker 1: and you don't agree with everything I'm saying, thank you.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I actually would much prefer that I didn't feel these
- 5:51Speaker 1: ways about it, And I might just be kind of
- 5:55Speaker 1: overthinking things and overanalyzing the way I feel because I
- 5:58Speaker 1: just don't really feel great and I'm not happy, so
- 6:00Speaker 1: that could be it too. So if you love this awesome, really,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm so happy that you're enjoying it. And if you're
- 6:08Speaker 1: not right right anyway, let's just get going. I don't
- 6:14Speaker 1: know if this is gonna stay or I'm gonna cut it,
- 6:16Speaker 1: but if you hear it, you heard it. So anyway,
- 6:20Speaker 1: Episode fifteen is called Welcome Back, and I don't know
- 6:24Speaker 1: if I found it when I was writing it out,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so hopefully we'll find it. It won't be like that
- 6:28Speaker 1: other episode a while back that I said, oh, maybe
- 6:31Speaker 1: we'll find it and I just never did, so yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: let's do it anyway. If you remember from the last episode,
- 6:38Speaker 1: which was terribly upsetting and I didn't really like, so
- 6:42Speaker 1: maybe I should just shut up. We ended with Shin,
- 6:46Speaker 1: who had just shot Eugene and he was in his
- 6:50Speaker 1: reaganly for whatever the fuck, he could just kind of
- 6:54Speaker 1: still see Eugene's dead head on the screen. That was it.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So start exactly there, thank god. So we start with
- 7:03Speaker 1: an orange sky and like a really low sun, like
- 7:07Speaker 1: over a military base, and it is July thirtieth, twenty
- 7:10Speaker 1: one forty nine. There are some like birds like landing
- 7:15Speaker 1: on like a big tower kind of like maybe a
- 7:17Speaker 1: radio tower or a guard tower. I'm not really clear
- 7:19Speaker 1: on it, and I think that they're calling. I think
- 7:21Speaker 1: they're crows. And this is the GIOD Federacy Forward Operating
- 7:25Speaker 1: Base thirteen, also known as FOB thirteen, which is yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I mean you abbreviate things, I get it. So we
- 7:33Speaker 1: see this truck carrying some really fucked up mechs like
- 7:36Speaker 1: being directed into like an area, and then somebody hops
- 7:40Speaker 1: out and we just kind of see their boots, and
- 7:43Speaker 1: then we cut to a foot resting on a desk
- 7:46Speaker 1: and there's like a piece of paper on it that
- 7:48Speaker 1: is a material shipment list that I stopped and zoomed
- 7:53Speaker 1: in so I could read. Basically, it says things like
- 7:57Speaker 1: twelve point seven equals one hundred and eight millimeter cartridges,
- 8:02Speaker 1: case ap M eighty two hundred counts twelve point seven
- 8:08Speaker 1: one hundred and eight milimeter cartridges, case ball M one
- 8:12Speaker 1: O eight two hundred count apfs ds MARX six hundred
- 8:19Speaker 1: R and D whatever that means, sender Lieutenant Colonel Girth
- 8:22Speaker 1: Wenzel recipient, Second Lieutenant Shine Nosen And there's a signature
- 8:28Speaker 1: for Girth and not a signature in Shin spots. And
- 8:32Speaker 1: then we see this big mechanical hand like signs Shin
- 8:35Speaker 1: signature and the foot pushes the paper like right off
- 8:39Speaker 1: the desk, and the mechanical hands sets down another piece
- 8:42Speaker 1: of paper, and it's another like material shipment ledger, and
- 8:46Speaker 1: this one says leg gear device reagan Leaf twelve each
- 8:50Speaker 1: high frequency blade device, reagan Leaf six each FCS, reagan
- 8:55Speaker 1: Leaf six each kit one leg gear device, reagan Leaf
- 8:59Speaker 1: two boxes. It's a lot of legs because Shin fucks
- 9:02Speaker 1: up legs like no one's business. So anyway, the mechanical
- 9:06Speaker 1: arm signs, and the leg pushes the paper off the desk,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and then the mechanical arm puts another one down which
- 9:13Speaker 1: I can't read, and Sin says last one. Fido signs it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Obviously that's his arm and beeps, and then we see
- 9:22Speaker 1: right in in the doorway, and he says, did you
- 9:25Speaker 1: actually read those? He did not. We see that they
- 9:29Speaker 1: have all just fallen into kind of like a loose
- 9:31Speaker 1: pile on the floor, and Sin says, it's rare for
- 9:34Speaker 1: you to end up at the same base as me.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Brighton starts to walk over to him and says, supposedly
- 9:39Speaker 1: we'll all be together tomorrow. Oh, that's nice. It looks
- 9:42Speaker 1: like they're in some sort of like metal bunker room thing.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I don't really know. I guess this is where Shin
- 9:48Speaker 1: is sleeping, because he's sitting on a cot. Brighton sits
- 9:52Speaker 1: down next to him and says, I don't really care,
- 9:55Speaker 1: but do you think they could treat us a little different?
- 9:58Speaker 1: I have no idea what that even means. Shitten kind
- 10:00Speaker 1: of points at one of those regularly things and says,
- 10:04Speaker 1: these things are prototypes after all, right, AND's like, we
- 10:07Speaker 1: took some heavy hits yesterday. Are you thinking it's about
- 10:10Speaker 1: time for them to come shed? It's like no, and
- 10:13Speaker 1: he stands, I guess you could say they could come
- 10:16Speaker 1: at any time. Whow We cut two crows cawing and
- 10:21Speaker 1: flying around the tower and then we go to the
- 10:24Speaker 1: opening theme yay back from the opening, we see a
- 10:28Speaker 1: projector that is on and shining directly at the camera,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and a voice says, our analysis of the increase in
- 10:34Speaker 1: Calms traffic, as well as the reports from our autonomous scouts,
- 10:38Speaker 1: showed a high probability of a large scale legion attack
- 10:41Speaker 1: in the coming days. We're in a room with like
- 10:44Speaker 1: a lot of military folks sitting around a table looks
- 10:48Speaker 1: like in an oval shape, and it's obviously dark in
- 10:51Speaker 1: there because they're looking at a projection screen, and this
- 10:54Speaker 1: guy who was standing up says, that's the joint analysis
- 10:58Speaker 1: team's conclusion. The lights turn on and this guy with
- 11:01Speaker 1: like an eye patch has his hands like folded in
- 11:04Speaker 1: front of his mouth and he says, so it's finally coming. Girth,
- 11:08Speaker 1: who is there, raises her hand and the eyepatch guy says,
- 11:11Speaker 1: I think, what is it, Colonel Wenzel. Girth stands and
- 11:15Speaker 1: she's like, I assume when we reorganizing our units to
- 11:18Speaker 1: prepare for the attack, i'd like my men back. Everyone
- 11:22Speaker 1: looks kind of fucking annoyed about this, which I don't
- 11:24Speaker 1: know why, and the eyepatch guy says the riggan leaves
- 11:28Speaker 1: are still in the prototype stage with no idea. If
- 11:30Speaker 1: they're capable of efficiently operating on their own, it's safer
- 11:33Speaker 1: to keep them grouped with the Vaniganders like we've been doing.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Greth says, sir, I understand your position, but Nordlich Squadron's
- 11:40Speaker 1: skill count is among the best in the eighth Corps.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Eyepatch guys like as are their losses. Gris says, consider
- 11:49Speaker 1: it a filtering process. Excuse me what this guy wearing
- 11:54Speaker 1: glasses like slams his fist on the table, which I
- 11:56Speaker 1: totally understand, and says, all you're doing is taking advantage
- 11:59Speaker 1: of the eighties experience. It's fucking true, sending those poor
- 12:03Speaker 1: kids right back into war. You're a merchant of death,
- 12:06Speaker 1: desperate to get back your lost position. I don't know
- 12:09Speaker 1: what that means, but part of that is correct. This
- 12:12Speaker 1: is not good, and it's especially not good for the
- 12:13Speaker 1: people who are not Spearhead, who just keep dying. Apparently,
- 12:17Speaker 1: Girth walks to the front and says, my new feldreb
- 12:21Speaker 1: the MX two Reagan Leaf has even better mobility than
- 12:24Speaker 1: the legion. She grabs the remote out of the guy's
- 12:27Speaker 1: hand that's standing there and was like clicking the slides
- 12:30Speaker 1: before and he gasps. She puts the projector back on,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and now it has like information about the Reagan Leaf
- 12:36Speaker 1: on it. I guess which says. And this is such
- 12:40Speaker 1: a nice departure from the earlier weird screens like in
- 12:43Speaker 1: episode one that like, we're just bullshit. This actually has
- 12:46Speaker 1: information on it, so I'll read it to you. The
- 12:49Speaker 1: Reagan Leaf is more mobile than the Legion and a
- 12:51Speaker 1: match for it, both technically and in terms of firepower.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Group tactics are insufficient to deal with a large scale
- 12:58Speaker 1: Legion offensive. A small group of elites will have to
- 13:03Speaker 1: fight while outnumbered. And then I wrote something I can't read.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Kills are among the highest in the eighth arm coreps,
- 13:11Speaker 1: not just one hundred and seventy seventh division sufficient for
- 13:15Speaker 1: individual operation of the Rigganleaf. Manufacturer WHM total length six
- 13:22Speaker 1: point three meters, height two point seven meters, not including
- 13:25Speaker 1: grappling subarms, armaments, grappling subarm, high frequency blade times two
- 13:32Speaker 1: grappling subarm, twelve point seven millimeter machine gun times two
- 13:37Speaker 1: wire anchored times two gun. Mount arm installed on the
- 13:41Speaker 1: rear of the fuselage, normally equipped with an eighty eight
- 13:44Speaker 1: millimeter smooth bore gun can be substituted for a large
- 13:49Speaker 1: autocannon slash multiple launch rocketpad WOW anti armour pile driver
- 13:56Speaker 1: times four installed on the unit's legs charges each So
- 14:02Speaker 1: that's a bunch of information that you now know about that.
- 14:05Speaker 1: That really didn't help me at all. But there's a
- 14:08Speaker 1: lot of weapons on it and it can do things anyway.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Growth says, if we're going to prepare for this large
- 14:13Speaker 1: scale offensive, do we not need to break with traditional
- 14:16Speaker 1: doctrine and have a small, elite unit capable of battling
- 14:19Speaker 1: a much larger force to protect the Federacy and its people.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I hope you'll consider allowing my Reagan leafs, as well
- 14:27Speaker 1: as the Nord's Lich Squadron, to be put to their
- 14:29Speaker 1: proper use. General, we see a bunch of people now
- 14:32Speaker 1: walking down a hallway. We can't really tell who they are,
- 14:36Speaker 1: like we're seeing just parts of them and hearing them walk.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And it's July thirty first, twenty one forty nine. So
- 14:41Speaker 1: the next day and we hear guys say reporting squadron commander,
- 14:46Speaker 1: there were two casualties in the battle yesterday, putting us
- 14:48Speaker 1: at under twenty men. So nineteen maybe we're eighteen. Okay,
- 14:52Speaker 1: so we see the people walking down the hall. Now
- 14:54Speaker 1: it's this dude, like an older dude with gray hair
- 14:57Speaker 1: and like a scar over's nose that I'm pretty sure
- 14:59Speaker 1: is the guy who was driving the car in the
- 15:01Speaker 1: last episode. And then also Shin is there. So the
- 15:04Speaker 1: guy says, we're just out here on loan from the
- 15:06Speaker 1: labs and a group of foreigners too, and our commander
- 15:09Speaker 1: is the famous Spider Woman, the weirdest girl even among
- 15:13Speaker 1: the lab weirdos. Yeah, that's what I was talking about
- 15:16Speaker 1: about overexplaining and saying things to characters that already know
- 15:18Speaker 1: the thing, and it's really weird that I hate that. Anyway,
- 15:22Speaker 1: a guy passes them and kind of side eyes them,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and the dude says, we're asking for more men, but
- 15:27Speaker 1: they won't send anymore again. Shin's like, I'm used to
- 15:31Speaker 1: not having additional men. The guy's face kind of falls.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Your life would have been easier if you just joined
- 15:37Speaker 1: one of the regular units. Shin's like, I feel more
- 15:40Speaker 1: at home here. The guy like kind of makes an
- 15:42Speaker 1: exasperated sigh and says, as long as you don't get
- 15:45Speaker 1: us killed with idiotic orders, Shin stops and looks out
- 15:49Speaker 1: the window at some people who are unloading you know,
- 15:53Speaker 1: bodies and body bags out of the back of a truck. Yay,
- 15:57Speaker 1: And the guy continues, even if if you're a braddy
- 16:00Speaker 1: kid who never smiles and puts himself at the head
- 16:02Speaker 1: of every charge, yeah, Sin is still just kind of
- 16:05Speaker 1: looking at the dead bodies, the guy continues, or reaper,
- 16:08Speaker 1: he'll drive you crazy. Shin is thinking now about how
- 16:12Speaker 1: he killed Eugene and is totally okay, by the way,
- 16:15Speaker 1: and the guy continues, if you try to sympathize with us,
- 16:18Speaker 1: it doesn't matter to me. It sounds like it matters
- 16:21Speaker 1: to you, actually, And again, I don't think people really
- 16:24Speaker 1: talk like this. But that's okay because Shin wasn't actually
- 16:26Speaker 1: listening to any of this. He's busy thinking about dead Eugene.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And eventually the guy notices and says Lieutenant. Lieutenant Shin
- 16:36Speaker 1: gasps and looks over at him. The guy just kind
- 16:38Speaker 1: of nods, and then Shin looks forward like super disgusted.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And I was confused for a second until I realize
- 16:45Speaker 1: that Frederica is walking down the hallway towards them, and
- 16:50Speaker 1: she is wearing like this giant like shirt, like, you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: like a large men's button down shirt basically with like
- 16:58Speaker 1: no pants or anything, and she doesn't have shit on,
- 17:00Speaker 1: and she's rubbing her eyes, which are mostly or all
- 17:03Speaker 1: the way closed, I'm not sure. She walks literally right
- 17:06Speaker 1: into Shin's stomach and Shin's like, change before you leave
- 17:10Speaker 1: your room. Frederica, still not really awake, says ugh Katy,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I was combing my hair. Sin's like, Frederica. Frederica finally
- 17:23Speaker 1: opens her eyes and she gasps, and she's like, shinay, sorry,
- 17:26Speaker 1: I got it wrong, But she like just kind of
- 17:30Speaker 1: starts to walk around him and continue down the hall,
- 17:32Speaker 1: and Shin like grabs her by the back of the shirt,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and Frederica looks super confused. And then we see THEO
- 17:39Speaker 1: and are walking down the hall, and Theo's like yesterday
- 17:43Speaker 1: was rough, And then we hear Shin say Anju sorry.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Andrew looks over and Frederica is being tossed through the
- 17:51Speaker 1: air in her direction and she totally manages to catch her.
- 17:55Speaker 1: So I guess Shin has a lot of faith in
- 17:57Speaker 1: her ability to react, because if that had happened to me,
- 18:01Speaker 1: Frederica would have just knocked me over because I wouldn't
- 18:04Speaker 1: have known what to do anyway. Frederica is in Andrew's
- 18:07Speaker 1: arms and Frederica is still out of it. And Andrew's like, Frederica, THEO,
- 18:12Speaker 1: go get a uniform. Theo's like huh, and he's like
- 18:16Speaker 1: looking around. He's like m and he turns and he
- 18:18Speaker 1: starts the head back in the direction they just came in,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and he's like, I just got here. The guy with
- 18:23Speaker 1: the gray hair is like, oh, you got another presence.
- 18:26Speaker 1: He shows Shin the tablet that he's holding and continues.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The idea of the eighty six is poor helpless children
- 18:33Speaker 1: is really getting out of control. He swipes and we
- 18:37Speaker 1: see a bunch of pictures of wrapped gifts and toys
- 18:40Speaker 1: which are clearly intended for like seven year olds, and
- 18:44Speaker 1: I feel bad, and Shin's like, get rid of them all.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Don't even tell me about them. The guy's like, I'd
- 18:51Speaker 1: love to, but I need to follow the rules militaries
- 18:55Speaker 1: or organizations filled with inefficient, illogical humans. So this conclude
- 19:00Speaker 1: your reports, Squadron commander. He holds up the tablet and says,
- 19:04Speaker 1: as for the rules, sign here please. We got to
- 19:08Speaker 1: food some sort of mashed potato something that looks like
- 19:12Speaker 1: it has vegetables in it, I don't really know, being
- 19:15Speaker 1: kind of or like from a melon baller Onto like
- 19:18Speaker 1: a tray. We see that we're in a dining hall, obviously,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and it looks like Spearhead is sitting in the back corner,
- 19:25Speaker 1: except Coarina's not there, and we getting closer and Frederica
- 19:29Speaker 1: has her head in her hands and she is just
- 19:32Speaker 1: bright red and groaning, and Andrew laughs. Rydan looks over
- 19:36Speaker 1: at Shin, who seems to be the only one that
- 19:38Speaker 1: without a tray of food, which kind of worries me,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and Shin says, eat Frederica. Frederica is like, no true
- 19:45Speaker 1: lady should let herself be seen like that. THEO says,
- 19:49Speaker 1: who's a lady? Frederica gasps. Ryden's like, the biggest problem
- 19:54Speaker 1: is that you were half asleep and half naked wandering
- 19:58Speaker 1: around the base. Frederica gas again, and she's like, who
- 20:01Speaker 1: told you riding? They all just kind of look at her,
- 20:04Speaker 1: and then Corna walks up and she's like waving and
- 20:07Speaker 1: she's like, hey, guys. Frederica slams her head down on
- 20:10Speaker 1: the table and Corna is so confused, and Frederica says,
- 20:14Speaker 1: you could be so mean. Karina is still very, very confused,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and Sen says, all I said was if you can't
- 20:22Speaker 1: manage to dress yourself out here, you'd be better off
- 20:25Speaker 1: back at base. Mascots aren't asked to follow military orders.
- 20:28Speaker 1: We'd feel better if you are back at the rear. Frederica,
- 20:31Speaker 1: whose face is still down on the table, says, I
- 20:34Speaker 1: can't do that. I'm here to see this till the end.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Ride in chuckles. Make sure you don't wand around the
- 20:41Speaker 1: base half asleep and half naked anymore. Then Karina, who
- 20:44Speaker 1: had sat down, stands and she's like half naked. Atheo's like,
- 20:49Speaker 1: so get this. Frederica cuts him off, and he's like,
- 20:51Speaker 1: don't tell her. Carna sits back down, but she's still
- 20:55Speaker 1: like half naked. Frederica says, stop talking about that. It's
- 21:01Speaker 1: been a long time since you've been together, right, Coarina
- 21:03Speaker 1: stands again and she's like that's right, and A's like, Korina,
- 21:07Speaker 1: calm down, right and says, we won't be together for long,
- 21:11Speaker 1: Andie's like, we'll be starting clean up, I guess, THEO says,
- 21:15Speaker 1: repairing damaged defenses, recovering the remains of allied and enemy
- 21:19Speaker 1: weapons bodies too. We cut to Marcel, who is just
- 21:24Speaker 1: all bandaged up and really sad, looking very clearly being
- 21:27Speaker 1: transported somewhere, and then we see that he's being flown
- 21:30Speaker 1: out somewhere, and THEO continues the mechanized units got hit hard,
- 21:34Speaker 1: we might get sent out on patrol. AND's like, even
- 21:37Speaker 1: though we know there's no points. THEO, who is eating
- 21:40Speaker 1: an apple now, says we can't explain that though, and
- 21:43Speaker 1: she's like yeah, and she takes a sip of coffee.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Maybe they should explain it. Frederica takes out like the
- 21:51Speaker 1: pinkest journal I've ever seen and says, geez, you've become
- 21:55Speaker 1: used to being the lackeys for the whole army. Today
- 21:57Speaker 1: we're heading back to our base. Oh. I guess she
- 22:00Speaker 1: gets instructions that they don't. We cut to clouds and
- 22:04Speaker 1: we can see a bird's shadow like on them, and
- 22:07Speaker 1: then the clouds part to reveal an aerial shot of
- 22:10Speaker 1: a base that shaped kind of like an X, but
- 22:13Speaker 1: also with some you know, runways or whatever. And this
- 22:16Speaker 1: is the GIAD Federacy one hundred and seventy seventh Division
- 22:19Speaker 1: Command Post. Okay, I guess that's their home base. We
- 22:23Speaker 1: see Shin lifting Frederica down out of a truck and
- 22:26Speaker 1: Girth is over on the side, and Frederica waves to her,
- 22:30Speaker 1: and Girth is like, welcome back. We cut to them
- 22:32Speaker 1: sitting in a meeting at desks. It's just Spearhead and
- 22:36Speaker 1: like these two other random guys for some reason, and
- 22:39Speaker 1: we hear Girth say, first, thanks for all the rescue
- 22:43Speaker 1: and support missions you've been doing. It looks like the
- 22:45Speaker 1: Reagan leaves work better with you in the foreign units.
- 22:48Speaker 1: What do you think, lieutenant, do you like them? Shin's like,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I've submitted my evaluation alongside with that of the Power Raid.
- 22:57Speaker 1: That's confusing. I don't think you're still using the power raid.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Girth is like, yeah, so now I want to hear
- 23:03Speaker 1: how you feel about them. You use feldrebs of similar
- 23:05Speaker 1: types back in the Republic, right, Shin Size, if you're
- 23:08Speaker 1: asking about the Juggernauts you made, Girth corrects him. Reagan leaves.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Sin's like juggernauts, Girth says. Reagan leafs sins like juggernauts.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Girth size fine. Ryden is trying super hard to stifle
- 23:23Speaker 1: his laughter, and Girth says and sins like they are
- 23:29Speaker 1: aluminum coffins, slightly better than the ones the Republic had.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Girth's like, really, Coarina glances over THEO and very quietly says, huh,
- 23:40Speaker 1: did she not know? THEO was like those things were
- 23:45Speaker 1: only designed for mobility, not safety. Girth does not look happy,
- 23:49Speaker 1: and Andrew says they're responsible for the deaths of several processors,
- 23:53Speaker 1: probably more than that Onju, but okay. Ryden's like, we
- 23:57Speaker 1: only barely manage to use them because we're experienced. Girth
- 24:01Speaker 1: says they're slightly better than the ones that made me
- 24:04Speaker 1: doubt the sanity of the idiot who designed them. The
- 24:07Speaker 1: guys who piloted them were crazy too. Sheen's like, that
- 24:11Speaker 1: was what we were given. Girth's like, oh, I see,
- 24:16Speaker 1: Chen says they're not bad. I don't think they just
- 24:21Speaker 1: require a certain sort of processor. I appreciate their speed.
- 24:26Speaker 1: They're fast and also precise. They're highly maneuverable. Girth is like,
- 24:33Speaker 1: I see for some reason, I don't think I'm being complimented.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Anju whispers to Karna and THEO. He's not complimenting, or
- 24:42Speaker 1: is he. Girth's like, so, why'd you agree to be
- 24:45Speaker 1: an operator? Chen says, I'm told it was you that
- 24:49Speaker 1: recommended us Girth's like as test pilots. I'm actually opposed
- 24:54Speaker 1: to child soldiers being sent out on the front lines,
- 24:57Speaker 1: especially eighty six. Like you, he was a Vanangander pilot
- 25:01Speaker 1: when I started ten years ago, I was your age.
- 25:04Speaker 1: She puts her hand on chinned shoulder, but he doesn't
- 25:07Speaker 1: look super happy about it, and I think she should
- 25:09Speaker 1: remove it anyway, She continues, a lot of my comrades
- 25:13Speaker 1: died because of those slow ass Vanagander. I told myself
- 25:17Speaker 1: so many times that a faster feldreb could have saved
- 25:20Speaker 1: their lives. That's why I made the Reagan leaps. She
- 25:24Speaker 1: kind of walks back up to the front. Now, thank
- 25:26Speaker 1: you for your honest opinion, Lieutenant. I'll make you give
- 25:29Speaker 1: me a better one with the next round of upgrades.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Look forward to it. Theo yons. Greth kind of looks
- 25:35Speaker 1: down at the table and says, now, I've got good
- 25:38Speaker 1: news before I give you the message. The other day,
- 25:41Speaker 1: we were finally able to confirm the survival of the
- 25:43Speaker 1: United Kingdom of Roa Gracia and the Alliance of walt
- 25:47Speaker 1: According to the wireless transmissions we received. Karina very quietly says, huh,
- 25:52Speaker 1: what countries are those? Theo's like to the north and south.
- 25:56Speaker 1: GREATH continues over top of them, they managed to build
- 25:59Speaker 1: the fence of lines and maintain an area they could
- 26:01Speaker 1: survive inn on jude to. Karina says, we learned that
- 26:04Speaker 1: an officer's school. Karina's like, did we? GREATH continues, However,
- 26:09Speaker 1: the other surrounding nations, as well as the Republic of
- 26:12Speaker 1: San Magnolia to the west, are still not answering our
- 26:15Speaker 1: radio messages. Everyone kind of looks at each other, and
- 26:18Speaker 1: this random guy, one of the two random guys, raises
- 26:22Speaker 1: his hand and says, so is the message a bad one, ma'am?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Greath's like, Unfortunately it is. We're predicting a large scale
- 26:30Speaker 1: legion attack soon. Karina and THEO, who had not really
- 26:34Speaker 1: been paying that much attention before, actually start to pay
- 26:36Speaker 1: attention now, and GREATH continues, the Western Theater Army will
- 26:40Speaker 1: be strengthening its forces. She puts her hands on a
- 26:44Speaker 1: map that's I guess on the wall of the Western
- 26:45Speaker 1: Theater Army, and she continues and reorganizing its chain of commands.
- 26:50Speaker 1: The oneenty and twenty eighth Test Unit will be placed
- 26:52Speaker 1: under the one hundred and seventy seventh mechanized, and I
- 26:55Speaker 1: will be taking command. It's time for the Nordlich Squadron
- 26:58Speaker 1: and my Reagan leaves to shine. Any questions, Sin raises
- 27:02Speaker 1: his hand. What's the size of the offensive? Girth says,
- 27:06Speaker 1: we expect to be able to beat it back easily
- 27:08Speaker 1: with our current forces. You'd send me a message about
- 27:11Speaker 1: something similar right. Ride In looks over at Chin, Girth continues,
- 27:16Speaker 1: I read it yesterday with great interest, but it goes
- 27:19Speaker 1: far beyond what our analysts are saying. You don't need
- 27:21Speaker 1: to be worried. Yeah, the Federacy isn't like the Republic.
- 27:25Speaker 1: We take recon and analysis seriously, and we prepare properly,
- 27:29Speaker 1: and more than anything, the Federacy will never abandon those
- 27:32Speaker 1: who fight alongside it, I hope. So they all look
- 27:36Speaker 1: pretty worried, but Chin looks horribly deeply worried. Yeah, I
- 27:41Speaker 1: get it. We see the green Federacy flag flying outside
- 27:46Speaker 1: and there's a crow perched on top of it. Then
- 27:48Speaker 1: we go to the title card. Welcome back back from
- 27:52Speaker 1: the title Frederica is carrying the awful bear thing down
- 27:56Speaker 1: the hallway and she stops outside a door and she
- 27:59Speaker 1: knocks on it. And she looks kind of worried, and
- 28:02Speaker 1: nobody answers, and she sighs, and we hear Shinn from
- 28:05Speaker 1: behind her say what is it. Frederica gasps, and it's like,
- 28:08Speaker 1: would you quit your hobby of walking in complete silence? Already?
- 28:12Speaker 1: They go, I guess inside his room and we see
- 28:14Speaker 1: like his bed and an electric tea kettle and original
- 28:18Speaker 1: Blend coffee and two mugs. And Frederica says, it's so
- 28:22Speaker 1: dreary in here. You should put up a painting, our
- 28:24Speaker 1: photo or something. It's so desolate. Fuck you. Shin's like,
- 28:29Speaker 1: all I do here is sleep. If I have more things,
- 28:32Speaker 1: that makes it harder to clean. Plus they're like always
- 28:35Speaker 1: going around doing other stuff. I don't know, man. We
- 28:38Speaker 1: do see that he has a pile of books on
- 28:39Speaker 1: his desk, so classic Shin. Frederica says, it's not just
- 28:44Speaker 1: a place to sleep, it's a place to live, a
- 28:46Speaker 1: place to call home. It's not good to leave it empty.
- 28:50Speaker 1: She starts to flip through a book that's on the
- 28:52Speaker 1: desk and says, maybe it was okay in the Republic,
- 28:55Speaker 1: but Eugene's room was filled with photos. Fuck you, This
- 28:58Speaker 1: is not a time to bring up dead friend and
- 29:01Speaker 1: tell Shin that he's not good enough because his dead
- 29:03Speaker 1: friend had photos on the walls. It's weird. It's weird.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I don't like it. Shin's like you were the one
- 29:09Speaker 1: that cleaned it. Frederica says, there aren't enough hands to
- 29:13Speaker 1: do all the work that he's doing. I helped go
- 29:15Speaker 1: through his things. It was all photos of his sister.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Shin's like, you shouldn't have talked to him, then you
- 29:22Speaker 1: wouldn't have had to see him die. Yeah. Frederica is like,
- 29:27Speaker 1: I don't think so. Even if death will eventually tear
- 29:31Speaker 1: you apart, it's better to meet someone than not to
- 29:33Speaker 1: meet them. You should remember that. She takes her camera
- 29:38Speaker 1: out and takes a picture of Shin. Shin winces at
- 29:41Speaker 1: the flash. If there's no need, you shouldn't get involved
- 29:44Speaker 1: in someone else's death, Frederica is like, you want to talk.
- 29:48Speaker 1: We cut to a shot of Shin's gun resting on
- 29:50Speaker 1: like a desk or a shelf or something, and Frederica says,
- 29:54Speaker 1: mister kind and gentle reaper. Shin kind of looks off
- 29:57Speaker 1: to the side, just not super happy and general and says,
- 30:01Speaker 1: why did you come here. Frederica is like, well, I'm
- 30:06Speaker 1: sorry about this morning. When I said Katie, Sin's like, oh,
- 30:11Speaker 1: are we that similar? Frederica is like, yeah, not like twins,
- 30:15Speaker 1: but very similar. She takes her journal out of the
- 30:18Speaker 1: bear abomination and continues, My night, Kitty A Nosen was
- 30:22Speaker 1: a member of the Nosenklan, just like you. She opens
- 30:25Speaker 1: the journal to a blank page. He wasn't a direct
- 30:28Speaker 1: descendant of the clan, so he wasn't really related to you.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Shin goes over and turns on the wall fan, and
- 30:34Speaker 1: then he turns on the tea kettle. Frederica continues, but
- 30:37Speaker 1: he was four years older than you, so last time
- 30:39Speaker 1: I saw him he looked like you do. Now. She's
- 30:42Speaker 1: drawing something in a fortress filled with adults. He was
- 30:46Speaker 1: the only one that would play with me. He would
- 30:48Speaker 1: comb my hair and get me flowers from the garden.
- 30:51Speaker 1: No matter what selfish things I asked for, he would
- 30:53Speaker 1: never get upset. Chin puts instant coffee into the mugs.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Frederica laughs and is like he was really serious about
- 31:01Speaker 1: everything and stubborn too. I'm sure if you guys met
- 31:04Speaker 1: you wouldn't get along at all. Here Shin turns and
- 31:08Speaker 1: Frederica is showing him a picture of Kitty, I guess,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and another person. It's not clear which one is Kitty.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's just two black haired people. One of them has
- 31:17Speaker 1: red eyes, the one on the right, and Shin says
- 31:21Speaker 1: which one. Frederica gasps this one and points to the
- 31:25Speaker 1: happy looking, black eyed one on the left. So I
- 31:28Speaker 1: guess Shin's the one on the right. Anyway, she continues,
- 31:31Speaker 1: when you talk to someone, close your book, follow the
- 31:33Speaker 1: rules and regulations. He was all about that stuff. I'm
- 31:37Speaker 1: sure you'd ignore all that, which wud make him angrier.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I can almost see it. Shin pours water into the mugs.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Why did he become a legion? Frederica says, it's my fault.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Shin glances over at her. Frederica is now drawing herself
- 31:53Speaker 1: between them and the picture, and she says, did Giad
- 31:57Speaker 1: Empire used the legion to attack our neighbors? That the
- 32:00Speaker 1: people were builed and the imperial family was chased to
- 32:03Speaker 1: a border fortress. There's a red light outside that's just blinking.
- 32:07Speaker 1: It's like dark out, you know how Like sometimes they'll
- 32:10Speaker 1: be like a big like a tower or something, and
- 32:11Speaker 1: they'll be a red light on the top at night.
- 32:13Speaker 1: The blinks, so the planes don't fly into it or whatever.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I assume that's what's happening, because it's like really dark
- 32:19Speaker 1: out and they just keep being this red light blinking
- 32:22Speaker 1: at you know, constant intervals throughout this conversation. It looks
- 32:26Speaker 1: really cool. Actually anyway, Frederica continues, the Legion were supposed
- 32:31Speaker 1: to protect us and our soldiers steed, but ironically, well
- 32:35Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what happens, but the Legion weren't
- 32:38Speaker 1: built to fight alongside humans, so we had human defenders
- 32:41Speaker 1: at the fortress, and Kittya had to fight to protect
- 32:44Speaker 1: me against the rebelling people since, like you mean the
- 32:47Speaker 1: current federal army, Frederica says, yes, he killed many of
- 32:52Speaker 1: them and eventually went insane. Oh my god. He lost
- 32:56Speaker 1: his family, everyone he knew, the home he grew up
- 32:59Speaker 1: in was in the enemy territory, and the other members
- 33:02Speaker 1: of the Royal Guard alongside him fell one after the other,
- 33:05Speaker 1: like Timee's falling from a comb I think he just
- 33:09Speaker 1: lost too much. Eventually, fighting for my sake became all
- 33:13Speaker 1: he had. I would often see him smiling at me
- 33:16Speaker 1: while crushing a Federacy souldier beneath his boots and a
- 33:20Speaker 1: blood stained fell drub at his side. What the fuck
- 33:24Speaker 1: with a calm, bright look on his face. I was
- 33:27Speaker 1: so scared. Yeah, there's a long pause as she stares
- 33:30Speaker 1: at the picture of Katy that she drew. Shin sets
- 33:33Speaker 1: down a mug in front of her on the desk,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and she continues. Eventually, the fortress fell and the Federacy
- 33:39Speaker 1: caught us. I was lucky that Ernest was there to
- 33:42Speaker 1: inspire his men. Thanks to him. The only thing that
- 33:45Speaker 1: was shown to the crowd is proof of my death
- 33:47Speaker 1: was the imperial mantle I wore. Shin's eyes widen as
- 33:50Speaker 1: he remembers Kitty's memories. Maybe he's finally putting that together,
- 33:55Speaker 1: Like he didn't realize it was him that he was
- 33:57Speaker 1: seeing the memories of or something. I'm not sure sure.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Frederica continues, but Kittius saw it. Fuck, we kind of
- 34:05Speaker 1: flash back and forth between the memories that Chin saw
- 34:08Speaker 1: and Shin and Frederica just bathed in red lights. And
- 34:12Speaker 1: Frederica continues, And at that moment, the Legion were wandering
- 34:16Speaker 1: the battlefield looking for things they could recycle. Curtius stood there,
- 34:20Speaker 1: not moving. He didn't run. I turned him into a monster.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I don't think that was your fault. But okay, there
- 34:28Speaker 1: is a moth caught in a spiderweb outside the window,
- 34:32Speaker 1: Frederica continues, and in the end the empire fell and
- 34:36Speaker 1: many died, and only the Legion are left. She reaches
- 34:40Speaker 1: for the mug. You said they're coming, right, Kitty will
- 34:44Speaker 1: be there too, And when that happens, Shin kind of
- 34:48Speaker 1: cuts her off. I understand, Frederica says, you don't. If
- 34:54Speaker 1: it gets dangerous, run, don't fight. They both kind of
- 34:59Speaker 1: pause and stay I heard his gun, and she continues,
- 35:02Speaker 1: I've forgotten how easily people die, no matter how you
- 35:05Speaker 1: want them to have a future. You were right a
- 35:08Speaker 1: moment ago. I don't want the people I've meant to die.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Saving Kitty isn't worth yours in other's deaths. You all
- 35:15Speaker 1: have a future, and that cannot be taken from you.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Sin's like a future. Fredrika says, I knew it. You
- 35:25Speaker 1: never even thought about it. Geez. It's not a good example,
- 35:29Speaker 1: but you should take a lesson from Eugene. Your next leave,
- 35:33Speaker 1: go where you want to go, what you want to
- 35:35Speaker 1: do someday. Anything like that'll do. Chin just kind of chuckles.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Frederica is like, what's so funny. Sin's like, no, someone
- 35:45Speaker 1: once told me the same thing. Frederica says, what'd you say?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Gin's like that, I never thought about it. Frederica says,
- 35:55Speaker 1: how boring. Even your heart is dreary. That person must
- 35:59Speaker 1: have been discipled. Shin chuckles and looks out the window
- 36:03Speaker 1: at the full moon. Maybe. So we cut to ride
- 36:07Speaker 1: In standing in a doorway looking kind of confused. Shin
- 36:11Speaker 1: is walking up, carrying Frederica, who is asleep in his arms,
- 36:15Speaker 1: and he says, what are you doing right? AND's like,
- 36:19Speaker 1: she likes you, big brother. Sheen says, I just remind
- 36:23Speaker 1: her of someone, right, and it's like that night, isn't
- 36:27Speaker 1: it the same for you? You seem to have taken
- 36:30Speaker 1: a real liking her. Shin's like maybe he looks at her,
- 36:35Speaker 1: She's the same as the old may right, and says,
- 36:38Speaker 1: I don't know about that, agreed. Ryan takes her out
- 36:41Speaker 1: of Shin's arms and kind of puts her over his
- 36:44Speaker 1: shoulder and he like taps on like the bluetooth com
- 36:47Speaker 1: thing on his ear and says, Corina, come pick up
- 36:49Speaker 1: the princess. Shin turns around to leave and right and says, hey, wait,
- 36:55Speaker 1: Shin turns back. We see a super huge low full
- 36:59Speaker 1: moon with two crows in front of it on a wire,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and then Shin and Rydon are standing on like, I
- 37:05Speaker 1: guess this catwalk and this big hangar overlooking some Reagan
- 37:09Speaker 1: leaps and right And says you gave them a warning. Huh.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Sin's like, I figured I might as well try, Right
- 37:16Speaker 1: And says, I told you when we came here to
- 37:19Speaker 1: keep that power of your secrets. You haven't forgotten what
- 37:22Speaker 1: they called you when they found out you could hear
- 37:23Speaker 1: those voices. Reaper. The Federacy aren't the saints they think
- 37:27Speaker 1: they are. And even here we're not treated as equals.
- 37:30Speaker 1: It isn't just the legion that likes to cut out
- 37:32Speaker 1: people's brains. Wow, that's mean. If you want to be
- 37:37Speaker 1: a guinea pig, that's up to you, But I don't
- 37:40Speaker 1: want to end up as a hostage to encourage you
- 37:42Speaker 1: don't do anything stupid. Sin's like sorry, right and says
- 37:48Speaker 1: the warning you gave them is enough on its own.
- 37:50Speaker 1: It's up to them if they want to believe it.
- 37:52Speaker 1: But are you okay? Sins like, what do you mean?
- 37:58Speaker 1: Right And says you're not thinking of anything? You don't
- 38:01Speaker 1: need to be are you? Is what Ernst said, bothering you?
- 38:06Speaker 1: What Shin's like the future? Righton says, yeah, Shin's like
- 38:13Speaker 1: Frederica told me to think about it, but I never have.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I never needed to you. Righton says, I think it'll
- 38:21Speaker 1: all work out. It can be harder than fighting the legion.
- 38:24Speaker 1: He looks over at the scar where the paraoid used
- 38:27Speaker 1: to be on Shin's ear, and then up at the ceiling.
- 38:30Speaker 1: It was always about this time of day, wasn't it.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Shin's like you think the major's doing okay. Righton kind
- 38:37Speaker 1: of looks over at him and shins size and then
- 38:39Speaker 1: right in size too. Me cut back to the crows,
- 38:43Speaker 1: but now there is only one left, and then we
- 38:46Speaker 1: go to the ending theme, which is a crow flying close
- 38:51Speaker 1: to the camera with a bluish sky in the background
- 38:54Speaker 1: and it has red eyes. And then we go to
- 38:57Speaker 1: that butterfly caught in the spider's web. The butterfly blue
- 39:00Speaker 1: and the rest of the image is pink. And then
- 39:03Speaker 1: with the ending theme still playing, we cut out of
- 39:06Speaker 1: those still frames and we see Lena's window with like
- 39:10Speaker 1: the flower vase and that like box of the faces
- 39:12Speaker 1: on it. Which we haven't seen her in almost two episodes,
- 39:16Speaker 1: and then we cut to a map I guess on
- 39:18Speaker 1: her wall with like lots of little sticky notes with
- 39:20Speaker 1: notes written on them, but we can't tell what they
- 39:22Speaker 1: are because they're literal scribbles, and then to Lena is
- 39:24Speaker 1: sitting at the desk looking at it. I missed her. Actually,
- 39:29Speaker 1: she turns to look at that peg board that has
- 39:32Speaker 1: all the little faces on it, and there are significantly
- 39:35Speaker 1: fewer of them now, there's only nine left besides Spearhead.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And then we see her pen as she writes, and
- 39:42Speaker 1: then a partially open piece of chocolate on her desk
- 39:45Speaker 1: with a little heart on it, and she looks totally exhausted,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and then we get the next episode title card. Even so,
- 39:55Speaker 1: and that's it. Gee, So closing thoughts, I actually en
- 40:00Speaker 1: reading that episode way better than I thought I was
- 40:02Speaker 1: going to. So maybe just acknowledging that I wasn't having
- 40:05Speaker 1: as much fun with this as I thought I would
- 40:07Speaker 1: be made me have more fun. Or maybe I'm just
- 40:09Speaker 1: in an okay mood today for some fucked up reason
- 40:11Speaker 1: that I can't understand. Who knows, But yeah, that was okay,
- 40:16Speaker 1: very much. Nothing happened except that I'm worried about Shin,
- 40:20Speaker 1: and it's nice that Rydon is also concerned. He seems
- 40:24Speaker 1: like really the only person who notices when Shin's kind
- 40:27Speaker 1: of acting off, And I really like that about him,
- 40:30Speaker 1: that he's like so in tune with Shin. I think
- 40:32Speaker 1: it's because he's known him the longest, because they were
- 40:35Speaker 1: in a squadron before Spearhead together. But like it's nice
- 40:39Speaker 1: because he's probably right on, and he's probably right on
- 40:43Speaker 1: about the Federacy too. They're probably not as good as
- 40:47Speaker 1: they think that they are, I mean, at anything, at
- 40:49Speaker 1: being nice people, but then like also as fighters and analysts,
- 40:55Speaker 1: like they're not doing a good job. And I'm really
- 40:59Speaker 1: conflicted about Shin not telling them, like they could say
- 41:04Speaker 1: Shin is crazy. That could put him at a mental institution.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I don't know. They probably wouldn't do that, but they could,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and that would be bad, right, it would be bad,
- 41:13Speaker 1: But would it be as bad as everyone dying because
- 41:16Speaker 1: they don't have the correct information because they withheld it
- 41:19Speaker 1: from them because they were afraid that they would look weird,
- 41:22Speaker 1: that they'd have weird opinions of Shin. Like I don't
- 41:25Speaker 1: think so. I think you need to tell them what's
- 41:27Speaker 1: going on, and then they can decide what to do
- 41:30Speaker 1: with that information. Because if he's just saying, like, oh,
- 41:33Speaker 1: I think this is going to be like tons and
- 41:35Speaker 1: tons of legion, but he doesn't have any reasons, Like
- 41:39Speaker 1: he's not explaining why he thinks that, why would they
- 41:42Speaker 1: believe him? You know, Maybe he's just you know, overly
- 41:46Speaker 1: pessimistic and afraid of things. I mean, he's been in
- 41:49Speaker 1: battle for a really long time. Maybe you know, he's
- 41:53Speaker 1: just being cynical. So it's just assuming it's going to
- 41:55Speaker 1: be this crazy, big wave of legion and all their
- 41:57Speaker 1: people are saying no, no, no, it's going to be fine.
- 42:00Speaker 1: So you have to provide evidence or there's no reason
- 42:03Speaker 1: to believe him, you know. So that's that he probably
- 42:07Speaker 1: should tell them, is what I'm saying. And if he
- 42:10Speaker 1: doesn't and a lot of them died, it's a little
- 42:12Speaker 1: bit his fault, I mean, not all his fault, but
- 42:15Speaker 1: like he could have done something. So yeah, but yeah,
- 42:20Speaker 1: I'm worried about Shin. Obviously there's a ton going on there.
- 42:24Speaker 1: He's not happy, he's not doing okay, and I don't
- 42:28Speaker 1: know why he would be, honestly, So, yeah, we found
- 42:31Speaker 1: out about Katie and how he went crazy and all
- 42:35Speaker 1: that stuff, which is just great, but it totally works
- 42:38Speaker 1: with what we saw in episode What was that like
- 42:41Speaker 1: eleven of his memories, you know, all for the princess
- 42:45Speaker 1: kind of deal, and I guess really the Giad Empire
- 42:49Speaker 1: only fell like four years ago, so this kind of
- 42:52Speaker 1: all makes sense now. Timeline wise, I'm a little bit
- 42:55Speaker 1: concerned that Giod hasn't gotten in touch with San Magnolia. Yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 1: but we did just see Lena, so obviously it's still there.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Hopefully everything's fine, but things are gonna get worse. It
- 43:09Speaker 1: sounds like the Legion are coming and probably soon, so
- 43:14Speaker 1: hopefully everyone has enough information to react to it. You know.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I think that's really it. I don't think there's much
- 43:22Speaker 1: else that needs to be said for this episode because
- 43:24Speaker 1: it was kind of calm, just lots of dialogue, and
- 43:26Speaker 1: I think we kind of covered most of, you know,
- 43:29Speaker 1: what we needed to, so I'm probably just gonna end
- 43:31Speaker 1: it there. Yeah, which is great because I have to
- 43:35Speaker 1: go mow the lawn, like really badly, and I don't
- 43:38Speaker 1: really want to, but it's time. It's been far, far
- 43:42Speaker 1: too long. So anyway, I hope that you have a
- 43:46Speaker 1: really good whatever, and that you heard my catches jump
- 43:49Speaker 1: down from the cat tree and make a little cute
- 43:50Speaker 1: noise in there, and I will probably be back with
- 43:56Speaker 1: more next week unless the world ends, so I'll see
- 44:02Speaker 1: you soon maybe later. Weeps.
