- 0:22Speaker 1: Well, good morning, Hayden, Good morning.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I tell her we're good.
- 0:27Speaker 1: How are you? That's the big that's the big question.
- 0:29Speaker 1: All ready.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm great. We're We're at work a bit earlier
- 0:34Speaker 2: today to get on but we're excited, excited to be
- 0:38Speaker 2: heading to the Melbourne for our last game of the year.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Well, great game on Friday night twenty four point. When
- 0:43Speaker 3: did the scoreboard fully reflect how hard you had to
- 0:45Speaker 3: work for it?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Uh?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Probably not. Yeah, it was a very difficult game, very
- 0:52Speaker 2: physical in particular. But I think the pleasing thing was
- 0:56Speaker 2: that felt like for large majorities of the night game
- 1:00Speaker 2: was played on our terms. It was probably just a
- 1:03Speaker 2: scoreboard potentially didn't reflect that at times because you know,
- 1:07Speaker 2: Ada did a good job of you know, maybe scoring
- 1:10Speaker 2: when they didn't have the momentum or field position whereas
- 1:14Speaker 2: you know, we sometimes struggled to score and we had
- 1:16Speaker 2: a lot of field positions, so it was a bit
- 1:19Speaker 2: of an arm wrestle. But it was one of those
- 1:21Speaker 2: arm wrestles that we've been in a lot this year,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and we feel really comfortable and we felt the games
- 1:25Speaker 2: looking the way we want. We just know that eventually
- 1:28Speaker 2: we'll wear them down and the scoreboard will start ticking over.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Probably no surprise that it was going to be an
- 1:33Speaker 1: arm wrestle, because let's face it, the Crows have they
- 1:36Speaker 1: haven't been slouching this year, have they. They've been up
- 1:39Speaker 1: and about, so they were always going to be a
- 1:40Speaker 1: pretty tough opponent.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, And particularly like this time of the year,
- 1:46Speaker 2: every team's trying to get to their best form, particularly
- 1:48Speaker 2: those teams that are playing finals, and Adelaid were no different.
- 1:51Speaker 2: They were, you know, are up for the fight, that's
- 1:54Speaker 2: for sure. And I thought we did a really good
- 1:56Speaker 2: job of, you know, sticking to the process and not
- 1:58Speaker 2: getting to turn when you know, we weren't kicking goals
- 2:01Speaker 2: and maybe they were kicking goals, And I think we
- 2:04Speaker 2: did a good job of staying calm when you know,
- 2:05Speaker 2: the scoreboard was close, all right, So off.
- 2:09Speaker 3: To Marvel Staters played Carlton on Saturday. It's another eleven
- 2:13Speaker 3: fifteen a m early one. Tobin Murray, it's making his
- 2:18Speaker 3: AFL debut. How would he be feeling about now?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Very excited, I'd imagine.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he's worked really hard this year and being really
- 2:28Speaker 2: consistent down to our waffle side, and he certainly deserves
- 2:31Speaker 2: his opportunity. I think, you know, any other maybe team
- 2:35Speaker 2: in the AFL, he's probably playing a lot earlier, but
- 2:37Speaker 2: just with the way our season's gone with not many
- 2:40Speaker 2: injuries and I know, everyone playing really well. You know,
- 2:43Speaker 2: he's had to work really hard for this opportunity and
- 2:45Speaker 2: he thoroughly deserves it. So we're super excited to see
- 2:48Speaker 2: what he can do. He's and he's a pretty exciting player,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and you know his speed and his pressure, he's going
- 2:54Speaker 2: to be pretty cool to see.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I think Murphy Reid, how are things down there? How's
- 3:00Speaker 1: he is he? How far away?
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah? No, he's improving, he's improving. He had a little
- 3:06Speaker 2: run around on Tuesday and and felt good, I think,
- 3:10Speaker 2: but not quite ready to go. So you know, things
- 3:13Speaker 2: are improving for Murphy, which is great. Yeah, he won't
- 3:17Speaker 2: play this week. Unfortunately, but.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we will have him right for the real business end.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well Carlton now have their their their
- 3:28Speaker 3: coaches settled. They've had such an amazing turnaround.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I mean, when you think about it, second half of
- 3:34Speaker 1: the season, they would be on statistics, they would be
- 3:37Speaker 1: second on the ladder.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, we have. We have spoken about that
- 3:41Speaker 2: a little bit because I mean even last week heading
- 3:44Speaker 2: to Adelaide, I think Adelaide and Carlton were the two
- 3:46Speaker 2: in form teams in the camp with us. So yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: we looked at that and thought, what a great opportunity
- 3:51Speaker 2: to sort of prepare leny of the finals against two
- 3:54Speaker 2: in form teams and yeah, yeah, and Carton have been
- 3:57Speaker 2: that particularly the second half of the year. And yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 2: they're certainly playing with a lot more freedom now and
- 4:03Speaker 2: they're scoring heavily and they're defending a lot better. So
- 4:06Speaker 2: it's going to be a great challenge for us and
- 4:08Speaker 2: away from home, playing in Melbourne, getting our preparation right.
- 4:12Speaker 2: So we're looking forward to it.
- 4:14Speaker 3: All right, Well, Marvel Stadium eleven fifteen am. First, Well,
- 4:20Speaker 3: it's not bounces at first whatever. The game starts at
- 4:23Speaker 3: eleven fifteen. We wish you all the best, do not
- 4:27Speaker 3: hurt yourself and none of you, and we'll talk to
- 4:32Speaker 3: you next week.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Thanks all right, I have a great trip over and
- 4:36Speaker 1: a great game this weekend.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I want Murphy Read in tip top shape because you
- 4:42Speaker 3: know he's my pick for the Norm Smith Medal.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yes, I know you were telling me that a little
- 4:46Speaker 1: bit earlier, so I'm holding you on that. So just
- 4:50Speaker 1: keep them on ice for another week, Murphy, and be
- 4:52Speaker 1: ready for the finals. That's what we need.
