- 1:43Speaker 3: Fou and they are well a whist So yeah, it's
- 1:45Speaker 3: too bad, but what did you expect?
- 1:48Speaker 4: It's a podcast, came twenty five.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Wist twenty line.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Alright, blow Eddie, I'd like to start with a confession.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Uh oh, last night, after Buffalo missed the sack in
- 2:03Speaker 1: the fourth quarter like they had Lamar back, he did
- 2:06Speaker 1: a little dipsy derve and then ran for like eighteen yards.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You remember that play?
- 2:10Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I went to bed.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I will know. Look, you're not the only one, dude.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Half of the stadium left.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I woke up this morning and thought, because I get
- 2:21Speaker 1: like three or four emails, like I subscribed to the
- 2:22Speaker 1: athletic and it was like one of the greatest comebacks.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was like, there was four minutes left, there were
- 2:26Speaker 1: down two score what.
- 2:29Speaker 3: So what did you miss all of it live?
- 2:31Speaker 1: I watched all of up up until they missed that sack,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, well, this game's over, so I'm out.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I've missed all of it. So I don't know. We'll
- 2:43Speaker 3: clue me in who stayed up for all?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yuys?
- 2:45Speaker 3: I did well?
- 2:46Speaker 4: How did you guys keep watching? They were down two?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Had a bed at a plus nine bet. I haven't
- 2:50Speaker 3: had Buffalo plus nine.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I had James Cook, so I did hit at James
- 2:53Speaker 1: Cook Derrick Henry both to score a touchdown of the game.
- 2:55Speaker 1: He had like five hundred bucks off like eighty buck
- 2:57Speaker 1: bet and also had James Cook over sixty. And I
- 3:01Speaker 1: also was like, he's not getting it. So they're down
- 3:03Speaker 1: two possessions, they're just going to throw fifty eight yards,
- 3:06Speaker 1: didn't hit it, but that was secondary.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It doesn't matter.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. I can't believe it. So I know
- 3:12Speaker 1: what happened because I watched the clips.
- 3:15Speaker 3: More is unbelievable. Yeah, it was unbelievable when Derrick Henry fumbled.
- 3:18Speaker 3: That's crazy. By the way, she had Oliver knocked it out. Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 1: He's also the one who missed the Lamar sack.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Dude, it wasn't everyone. He missed the Lamar Lamar. Just dude,
- 3:29Speaker 3: that's true. That's like he's such a slippery guy.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I can't believe Derek Henry fumble.
- 3:33Speaker 3: He fumbles at the thirty yard line and it changes everything.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I mean, you can see Josh Allen's eyes like, this
- 3:40Speaker 3: is it. It's happening. But it wasn't easy, dude, because
- 3:42Speaker 3: they needed a two point conversion they scored.
- 3:45Speaker 1: They also missed that two point conversion earlier that I saw.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Yeah, they missed a couple of them.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and they almost got a one point safety. What
- 3:52Speaker 1: was that on that two point conversion with the interception
- 3:54Speaker 1: and he threw it back, he like pitched it. The
- 3:56Speaker 1: guy had been tackled, that had been a one point safety. Yeah, anyway,
- 4:00Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. That game is crazy.
- 4:02Speaker 5: A lot couldn't believe a lot that happened. The crazy
- 4:04Speaker 5: part was I woke up to my phone going off.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Literally went to bed same time as you woke up
- 4:08Speaker 5: to my phone. I'm like, what the heck? Am like?
- 4:11Speaker 5: This game has to be turning crazy? I look, and
- 4:14Speaker 5: then I watched the last two minutes on my phone
- 4:16Speaker 5: with no audio at all while my wife sleeps right
- 4:18Speaker 5: behind me, and I was just like, oh, oh.
- 4:20Speaker 1: My god, you were getting text about a team that's
- 4:22Speaker 1: not even your team.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Yeah, my dad and brother we just because it was
- 4:25Speaker 5: that wild of a game.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It didn't matter, dude, if you were nobody text me, well,
- 4:30Speaker 3: I'm not texting well Eddie's not a group. I am
- 4:31Speaker 3: not texting you late night, no change.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Good point on that, And secondly, who knows I've been
- 4:35Speaker 1: watching that game like you'd probably know I am, but
- 4:37Speaker 1: you're not gonna blow me up.
- 4:38Speaker 3: On I did check to see that if the our
- 4:40Speaker 3: threat our little text thread was at least going like
- 4:43Speaker 3: are you are you up? Are you watching this? But
- 4:45Speaker 3: no one said anything, so I figured, oh.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I went to bed after they missed that sack. I
- 4:48Speaker 1: was like, well, this game's over.
- 4:49Speaker 3: But here's what was crazy about the very end, which
- 4:51Speaker 3: is like, of course I was invested. I was heavily
- 4:54Speaker 3: invested in it because I had a live bet, a
- 4:56Speaker 3: live money line buffalo bet that I took at the
- 4:58Speaker 3: half that paid like plus two fifty. I want one
- 5:02Speaker 3: hundred dollars at the end of the game, but I
- 5:03Speaker 3: waited till the very end. So they all they want
- 5:06Speaker 3: to do is get in field goal position to win,
- 5:09Speaker 3: to win the game with like a minute left.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They sound like somebody who is not for America talking
- 5:13Speaker 1: about football for the first time. What do you mean
- 5:15Speaker 1: they get in field goal positions.
- 5:16Speaker 3: They're trying to get in field in field goal positions
- 5:18Speaker 3: right range.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Again, you sound like somebody from Scandinavia who's just learning
- 5:22Speaker 1: American football rules.
- 5:24Speaker 3: They're trying to get in field goal range. The field
- 5:26Speaker 3: goal position is you know, no, I didn't realize I
- 5:31Speaker 3: said it like that. So anyway, they're just trying to
- 5:34Speaker 3: get a field goal. But then they'd launch a ball
- 5:36Speaker 3: down the field. They end up at like the ten
- 5:38Speaker 3: yard line, and I'm like, it's first and ten with
- 5:41Speaker 3: forty seconds left, and they start kneeling the ball, and
- 5:44Speaker 3: I know you trust your kicker. I know you do.
- 5:46Speaker 3: And it's a little A lot of miskicks today though,
- 5:48Speaker 3: are a lot of minute greater. I understand. I don't
- 5:52Speaker 3: care if it was justin Tucker out of the massage room, like,
- 5:57Speaker 3: you have four chances and forty seconds to at least
- 6:01Speaker 3: do something, But there is the risk of fumbling the ball,
- 6:03Speaker 3: I understand. But when they knelt the when they kneel
- 6:05Speaker 3: down to three times to take the clock all the
- 6:08Speaker 3: way down to five seconds, I was stressing. But they
- 6:11Speaker 3: made it and they won the game. It was freaking amazing.
- 6:14Speaker 3: That's crazy. Congratulations.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I mean, that definitely sets up Josh Allen to be
- 6:17Speaker 1: the MVP if he is equal now to Lamar for
- 6:20Speaker 1: the rest of the year. If you're if it's arguable
- 6:23Speaker 1: Josh Allen wins because of this game.
- 6:26Speaker 5: He was unbelievable. He was and Dereck Henry was unbelievable.
- 6:29Speaker 5: That just sucks.
- 6:30Speaker 3: He fumbled flowers. They were all so.
- 6:33Speaker 5: I was watching the Ravens like nobody's beating this team.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean, possible AFC Championship game there for sure, probably
- 6:39Speaker 1: the best two teams in the AFC yeah, yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 5: I mean after week one for sure.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I'm just saying looking looking at them
- 6:45Speaker 1: and both you watch those teams and you're like nobody else.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Lists like this in the NFL.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Now you've been watching Buffalo, I don't know their jerseys
- 6:52Speaker 1: that that blue looked fast. Yeah, Like sometimes you just
- 6:55Speaker 1: look good, like they say, get off the bus, like
- 6:58Speaker 1: both teams look good.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It's crazy too that, like they can't learn to stop
- 7:03Speaker 3: Derrick Henry.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Like learn how do you learn to say, the gigantic
- 7:06Speaker 1: guy who's stupid fast, take his legs out there, outrun
- 7:10Speaker 1: people on angles. Yes, he's out running safeties on the head,
- 7:14Speaker 1: angles on him. So there are two reasons you can't
- 7:16Speaker 1: stop Derrick Henry. One he's massive. Two he's fast.
- 7:22Speaker 5: I would hate to tackle that.
- 7:23Speaker 3: It sucks. Hate it.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yep, he's coming at you one on one.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Dude, have it, bro go.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Business decision. I'm gonna let you get a Fiel goal position.
- 7:34Speaker 3: That sounds right to take a risk.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So here's what we're gonna do. I give you a
- 7:38Speaker 1: second to think about yours. We're going to do who
- 7:39Speaker 1: sucked and who was awesome. It can be anything from
- 7:42Speaker 1: the weekend because the benefit of doing the show on
- 7:44Speaker 1: a Monday is that we have all college and all NFL.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So I'll go first, who sucked Texas?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Oh that's hot take?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Well, no, no, I'm going to tell you why Texas
- 7:53Speaker 1: sucked because Texas wins thirty eight seven. Arch looks fine.
- 7:57Speaker 1: He threw a bunch of touchdowns. But I gotta talk
- 7:59Speaker 1: to they have a pollock about this. When you throw,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you would see him and go like, oh a bit
- 8:04Speaker 1: as well. And so, yeah, he scored touchdowns. It was fine,
- 8:08Speaker 1: they should But I bet Texas to cover I don't
- 8:12Speaker 1: know halfway through the game and they freaking like fumbled
- 8:16Speaker 1: it to lose the So Texas, I'm I looked for
- 8:20Speaker 1: a reason to like Arch Manning because I like Arch,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I hate Texas, and so I was like, I'm gonna
- 8:24Speaker 1: bet on Texas.
- 8:25Speaker 3: It's San Jose State.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And they fumbled and they fumbled the in right, didn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: they fumble? I can't even remember up on my phone
- 8:30Speaker 1: they like they fumbled.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Probably I stopped watching that game.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I hate Texas for not cover. It's run of my notes.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I hate Texas also for not covering, for fumbling, and
- 8:41Speaker 1: for sucking. So that's who sucks.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Mike, and.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I had for Mike, so I did bet on him.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I tried to find a reason to like them. I
- 8:53Speaker 1: couldn't they even they fumbled even.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Then threw you off believing in him.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Now I don't believe in Texas. Just an Arch you're
- 9:01Speaker 1: rooting I'm rooting for I'm still rooting for Arch itself,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but I'm now rooting for Texas. I'm rooting against Texas
- 9:06Speaker 1: more than I'm rooting for Arch. It was even for
- 9:07Speaker 1: a while where I was trying to figure out where
- 9:09Speaker 1: I actually fell in this, and now I'm rooting for
- 9:12Speaker 1: against Texas more than I'm rooting for Arch. So yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 1: that's who sucked Texas. Who was awesome? The Cincinnati football.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Gods, Oh the gods, or.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Is it the Browns that just sucks so bad? Like
- 9:25Speaker 1: the Brown's gonna brown and they Brown's hard yesterday, But
- 9:28Speaker 1: the football gods were gentle to Cincinnati.
- 9:30Speaker 3: They needed to win that game.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Like the little fly go through a pass, it was
- 9:33Speaker 1: good hit off his hand, interception. Cincinnati goes down Wednesday,
- 9:37Speaker 1: Thank god, because we'll get to our little league in
- 9:39Speaker 1: a second.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Gosh, that was stressful, very like so stressful. I may
- 9:44Speaker 3: not be able to take it all season.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You won't.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I was worried about you.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I stopped Hey what what?
- 9:50Speaker 5: Eddie just stopped replying.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I I started to feel so guilty and thinking about
- 9:55Speaker 1: buying Eddie out week one.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I was like, can I tell you what happened? Before
- 9:58Speaker 3: we even talk about all that. Let me tell you
- 10:00Speaker 3: what happens. So my son is so stupid. He has
- 10:03Speaker 3: two basketball games on Sunday in the middle of the day,
- 10:06Speaker 3: and I'm pissed, and my wife's like, you can't miss him.
- 10:08Speaker 3: There's first basketball games. I'm like, it's the first it's
- 10:11Speaker 3: the first week of NFL. So anyway, I go and
- 10:13Speaker 3: I'm watching. The coach looks at me and say, hey, man,
- 10:15Speaker 3: will you do the score? And I'm like, oh, I
- 10:18Speaker 3: have my phone in my hand. He obviously sees the
- 10:20Speaker 3: streaming going on, and I go, I'll do it. Sure.
- 10:24Speaker 3: So I go to the score table with my phone
- 10:28Speaker 3: and the score guy goes like, dude, you're gonna need
- 10:30Speaker 3: to focus. So like, I'll just get someone else to
- 10:32Speaker 3: do it. I say, thank you. Oh, out of it.
- 10:35Speaker 3: So I got out of it. I watched it on
- 10:37Speaker 3: my phone, but I'm trying to watch basketball, dude. It
- 10:40Speaker 3: was too much from yelling at my sun to get
- 10:42Speaker 3: in the game. You're like, oh my gosh, they missed
- 10:44Speaker 3: the field goal. It was crazy. All that was crazy.
- 10:47Speaker 5: There was a lot.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So here's who sucked Texas and here's who was awesome.
- 10:52Speaker 1: The Cincinnati football gods.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yes, the gods for letting Bengals.
- 10:55Speaker 1: For letting Cincinnati sneak out with that win against a
- 10:58Speaker 1: terrible Browns team, which means since I may not be
- 11:01Speaker 1: good possibly yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Actually one week one, which they haven't done in.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Like seven years, win week You're right, that's a great point.
- 11:08Speaker 3: And then I'm thinking too, like okay, please like Packer
- 11:11Speaker 3: gods like go take a nap, and it don't looked
- 11:13Speaker 3: awesome and Packers looked great, So that was not good
- 11:17Speaker 3: for us.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It's week one. I mean we can we can jump
- 11:21Speaker 1: into this real quick. And I want to go around the.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Room, but sorry, is this hard not to talk about that?
- 11:25Speaker 3: It is?
- 11:26Speaker 1: So we got in this league, and I can explain
- 11:28Speaker 1: the system, but you draft team. We have four teams,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and we need these four teams. We need three at
- 11:32Speaker 1: a four to win every week We're going to lose money.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And so.
- 11:37Speaker 1: We only had two of the four that we needed
- 11:40Speaker 1: win and so we're in the hole.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Uh.
- 11:42Speaker 1: That being said, what happens is there are six people
- 11:44Speaker 1: they draft six teams. You draft a winner, lose, And
- 11:47Speaker 1: this is going to be kind of confusing, but if
- 11:48Speaker 1: you win, you win five hundred bucks your team, Like
- 11:51Speaker 1: if the Bengals won, we won five hundred dollars. But
- 11:53Speaker 1: every time somebody else's team wins, we have to pay
- 11:55Speaker 1: one hundred bucks. And so it ends up last year,
- 11:58Speaker 1: like we had Matt still on there people that lost
- 12:00Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars, there's also somebody that won ten thousand dollars.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I won four thousand exactly. So we had we had.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Six games, and this is gonna be confusing because I
- 12:11Speaker 1: drafted Miami to win and lose, and that counts as
- 12:13Speaker 1: the skin, but it also counts the skin you.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Can't win as well.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So out of the six, we had three wins, and
- 12:18Speaker 1: as of right now, I think we're down five hundred
- 12:19Speaker 1: bucks yep, and we can't make any money tonight. We
- 12:22Speaker 1: can only not lose more money tonight, Okay, and that's
- 12:25Speaker 1: if the Bears win.
- 12:26Speaker 3: So we're rooting for the Bears tonight.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So yeah, we're down five hundred dollars right.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Now, and our teams are okay.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The Bucks, hey, holy crap, speaking about the god gods.
- 12:38Speaker 1: First of all, they shouldn't have missed the extra point, ye, correct,
- 12:40Speaker 1: because the game would have been over.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. It was after I texted you guys.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it was right after your texts.
- 12:46Speaker 5: And then it's an extra playing like no, and that's okay.
- 12:49Speaker 3: But then that then the Falcons, the Falcons kicker who
- 12:51Speaker 3: doesn't miss, I mean, he's really good, decided to miss.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So I don't make this all about us, but we
- 12:55Speaker 1: have don't make it all but we have the Bucks,
- 12:57Speaker 1: the Bengals, we have Chiefs, the Chiefs and a Patriot.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Which I'm worried about that one now, Ken me too. Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 3: So that's where we are.
- 13:06Speaker 1: We need those four teams winter because we could lose
- 13:08Speaker 1: thousands of dollars.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It's ressful, but we can also win. We can't a
- 13:13Speaker 3: lot of money.
- 13:13Speaker 6: You can.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And I've been in the black over my three years,
- 13:18Speaker 1: Like I'm ahead a couple of thousand.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Black is good. Yeah, that's what it's called Black Friday.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And then Red is the trouble. Yeah, Red's bad.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Yeah, stay in the black, baby, that's hard.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Because I love red and Roulette, so I don't have
- 13:27Speaker 3: to work on that.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Well, that's my favorite color. To the bad but and
- 13:32Speaker 1: Kevin's fantasy team dominated mine. At a good week, Kevin
- 13:35Speaker 1: had the greatest week I've ever seen a fantasy football history.
- 13:37Speaker 1: But the thing is, you don't even care about fantasy
- 13:38Speaker 1: that much because you're just worried about your money.
- 13:40Speaker 3: The funny you said that because I didn't give a
- 13:41Speaker 3: crap about fantasy one me neither.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I didn't care about players anymore. I cared about teams,
- 13:47Speaker 5: teams and watch teams.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Teams that have never cared about I know. Ever, I
- 13:51Speaker 3: never watched the Bengals game like come Home Burgles.
- 13:54Speaker 1: No, I know, because you lose money and then you
- 13:56Speaker 1: start rooting for other games you have no interest because
- 13:58Speaker 1: it's a hundred bucks.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Yeah, it adds up quick. That's what I realized. When
- 14:02Speaker 5: once it started scoring, I was like, oh wait, oh,
- 14:05Speaker 5: another four.
- 14:05Speaker 3: My wife was like, you're a Bucks fan now, Like, well,
- 14:09Speaker 3: let me explain this year.
- 14:10Speaker 1: For the next seventeen weeks, I am including the Bible. Okay, Kevin,
- 14:15Speaker 1: who sucked? Who was awesome?
- 14:16Speaker 5: Who sucked? Was a guy that you'd been high on
- 14:18Speaker 5: for a while. But Week one was bad and that's
- 14:20Speaker 5: bo Nicks. Bow Nicks sucked. He had they did win,
- 14:24Speaker 5: but Titans had every opportunity they could to win that game.
- 14:28Speaker 5: They just didn't want to win it. But he's had
- 14:29Speaker 5: three turnovers and he just looked like he was trying
- 14:32Speaker 5: to do too much. Last year, he was just really
- 14:34Speaker 5: playing the system of the offense and he looked like
- 14:36Speaker 5: he was just calm and collected. Yesterday he was like flustered.
- 14:39Speaker 5: He was yelling at players, and he seemed like he
- 14:41Speaker 5: was trying to win the game himself. So I thought
- 14:43Speaker 5: he sucked. And then who was good? You know, I'm
- 14:46Speaker 5: not an Oklahoma guy, but mateer John Mattier from Oklahoma
- 14:50Speaker 5: was awesome on Saturday night. I watched the whole game. Uh,
- 14:53Speaker 5: Michigan's defense is real and he diced them up with
- 14:56Speaker 5: his legs arms. They got that win. He was awesome.
- 14:59Speaker 3: He was always in my field goal position, yes he
- 15:01Speaker 3: what And that was to hear the end of this. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 3: that position, that position in the field, you know, or
- 15:07Speaker 3: like it's the money.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But that's a good game. My wife is a massive
- 15:11Speaker 1: OU fans. We watched the whole game. Yeah, they kept
- 15:14Speaker 1: trying to give it back though.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Oklahoma. Yeah, yeah, I mean they get just kind of
- 15:18Speaker 5: like the Broncos. They gave him every opportunity. They're like,
- 15:21Speaker 5: come on, I thought the Titans might actually pull it.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I don't care, but I thought I did kind of
- 15:26Speaker 1: root for the Titans because that was money for us
- 15:27Speaker 1: and we can't talk about our league the whole time,
- 15:29Speaker 1: but I know, but we wanted I know, we wanted
- 15:31Speaker 1: the Titans to win that for that, And kim Ward
- 15:33Speaker 1: was like, cool, Hey, I thought cam Ward for Game
- 15:35Speaker 1: one looked pretty freaking good because he had no time, right,
- 15:38Speaker 1: I mean it was, yeah, that was it every play. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and then they had to change out of tackle, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: then it was once they changed out the tackle, cam
- 15:47Speaker 1: Ward had even less time.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it was brutal for him. You see his dad
- 15:50Speaker 5: in the stands stressing out. Is pretty funny.
- 15:52Speaker 1: The announcer was like, cam Wored's dad's also like super calm,
- 15:55Speaker 1: and they kept looking at it, like and then finally
- 15:58Speaker 1: he went up to the rail bent over and he's like, oh, awesome,
- 16:02Speaker 1: Ago who sucked was awesome, Eddie.
- 16:04Speaker 3: You're not gonna like this, but the Panthers sucked. They
- 16:06Speaker 3: suck just terrible, dude. The Panthers may be bad again.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Like every time I switched to the Panthers. There's Bryce
- 16:11Speaker 3: Young just running for his life again. I thought t
- 16:14Speaker 3: Mac would save him. I think t Mac was a
- 16:17Speaker 3: decent fantasy player this year, but this this week. But yeah, dude,
- 16:21Speaker 3: Panthers are nothing to look forward to. I don't think so.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I think we a lot.
- 16:25Speaker 5: I'm sure you a lot of room think it was
- 16:27Speaker 5: weird too, though, the whole like delay, I don't know, lightning.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, for like five minutes they're playing in Florida. Bro
- 16:35Speaker 3: Oh no, no, no, I'm thinking of Denver. Denver was crazy.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It was a five minute whether.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Jacksonville was like three hours.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Jacksonville round like early round game and it was
- 16:44Speaker 1: playing deep into the second round. Yeah, that was bizarre. Brandon,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you want to do one who sucked on the way?
- 16:48Speaker 3: I got to give you my awesome Oregon the Ducks
- 16:51Speaker 3: they punished Gundy.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Awesome, they punished.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I loved watching every minute. Well I didn't watch a
- 16:57Speaker 3: lot of it, but it was cool to see.
- 16:58Speaker 5: That's good one.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Sorry, I didn't mean to catch up. You're good, Uh, Brandon,
- 17:01Speaker 1: who sucked Florida?
- 17:02Speaker 3: Sucked. Yeah, that's that's a tough one.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a tough one because they just signed their
- 17:08Speaker 1: coach to a new deal. Yeah, and all of a sudden,
- 17:11Speaker 1: you spit. It's another spit game. What a terrible penalty.
- 17:15Speaker 1: That's a culture issue. That's no respect for the player
- 17:18Speaker 1: or for even your own even your own coaches. If
- 17:21Speaker 1: you do that, everything's on camera.
- 17:25Speaker 3: There's a spitting culture.
- 17:26Speaker 1: No, but it's a I don't care about the rules.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I care about myself. Yeah, and there are certain coaches
- 17:34Speaker 1: that own that and go you don't. It's not about
- 17:36Speaker 1: you and players about it. Saban was big on that, Like,
- 17:38Speaker 1: if you did that crap with Saban, he benched you.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It don't matter how good you were because the next
- 17:42Speaker 1: man up.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Uh yeah, it sucked. Are you guys spitters?
- 17:46Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I need you to do you guts? Like, do you
- 17:49Speaker 3: guys spit randomly?
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Like just sore you walk? I don't know two out
- 17:56Speaker 3: of ten.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 3: If I'm rating myself, I don't spit.
- 17:59Speaker 5: I mean I feel like working out well oh yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 5: like or if you're on a run or something.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean yeah, my mouth.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Dress dry mouth is different, Like that's a necessity. But
- 18:09Speaker 3: like you know, people just walking around like that spit
- 18:11Speaker 3: all the time. If I'm on a balcony, I give
- 18:14Speaker 3: it a second thought how.
- 18:15Speaker 1: High I am and like, okay, well yeah that's different, yes, yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: because that's uh that's general height interest.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I think if you have a problem, if you don't
- 18:23Speaker 3: stand on a balcony, they want to spit it.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Maybe not spit, but I want to drop something. I
- 18:26Speaker 1: want to I want to time something. Yeah, Brandon who
- 18:30Speaker 1: was awesome.
- 18:30Speaker 7: Uh, the Colts and Daniel Jones, we were going to
- 18:34Speaker 7: go to that game, but we we canceled.
- 18:35Speaker 3: He didn't go, and I was like, go to that game.
- 18:38Speaker 7: I know, Well, we just stayed in Nashville because we're
- 18:40Speaker 7: like we're exhausted. That's why we want to like take
- 18:43Speaker 7: a weekend. So like we you know, we just got
- 18:45Speaker 7: a hotel in Nashville and we just watched football the
- 18:49Speaker 7: entire weekend.
- 18:49Speaker 3: You know, your watch Steelers one?
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah they did, Yeah yeah, and that was a that's
- 18:54Speaker 1: a crazy game, Yeah, really crazy?
- 18:56Speaker 3: Do you have four touchdowns?
- 18:57Speaker 5: I thought that was gonna be a dud of a
- 18:58Speaker 5: game too.
- 18:59Speaker 1: When he got sacked that it started to start the game.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I was like Aaron Rodgers can't move, and you know what,
- 19:03Speaker 1: he didn't move a whole lot even then, but.
- 19:05Speaker 3: His arm is still there.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Some dimes.
- 19:08Speaker 1: And the Jets did not look terrible.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Fields Fields looked amazing.
- 19:13Speaker 1: You know who else didn't look terrible? I made I
- 19:15Speaker 1: made some notes. Russell, uh, no interest.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Wilson, he.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Didn't look bad.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I wrote down, Rattler didn't suck. That's my whole note.
- 19:28Speaker 1: That's that's a good note, because as I was watching them,
- 19:30Speaker 1: I was like, I really expected them to be a
- 19:32Speaker 1: lot worse. And Spenser Radler looked like an NFL quarterback.
- 19:35Speaker 1: They lost, but he didn't look terrible, and I think
- 19:38Speaker 1: his expectation was terrible, and anything above terrible is good.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So he looked good. So yeah, you know what else
- 19:45Speaker 1: didn't suck? I hit my ghost leg. This is not
- 19:48Speaker 1: part of the commercial, and I'll tell our listeners this.
- 19:51Speaker 1: The guys thought I was doing a commercial on our text.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Because I read it and I was like, gosh, I
- 19:56Speaker 3: sound like Bobby cutting the commercial, I said, Eddie and
- 19:58Speaker 3: Kevin attack. I was like, guys, don't forg it's the
- 20:00Speaker 3: ghost leg because you can add that to your proleg
- 20:02Speaker 3: right now.
- 20:02Speaker 5: If you go to draft kids, use Bobby Sports.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Go do your go and I hit. So I picked
- 20:08Speaker 1: four games and one of them didn't hit, which was
- 20:10Speaker 1: the Panthers plus four and a half, and I bet
- 20:12Speaker 1: like one hundred bucks and it was like five fifty.
- 20:14Speaker 1: They killed that game, my ghosts like they didn't hit
- 20:16Speaker 1: and I'm one hundred bucks maybe like three twenty five orcent. Wow,
- 20:19Speaker 1: it was awesome.
- 20:20Speaker 3: That's really cool. Yeah, I needed two ghost legs. Oh yeah,
- 20:24Speaker 3: Fortunately they only give you one both legs.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Ghost like I did the Eddie bet two or I
- 20:28Speaker 1: did like a sixteen game parlay.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, how many did you get wrong?
- 20:32Speaker 5: So many?
- 20:32Speaker 3: Adi even check? Oh no, that's right, all over all
- 20:34Speaker 3: over the board.
- 20:35Speaker 1: But I'm telling you the ghost leg made me money.
- 20:37Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So do that the codes Bobby Sports. But this wasn't
- 20:41Speaker 1: part of like their sponsorship on the show. It did work.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I also did the I get a free no sweat bet.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't know if they're doing it next week, but
- 20:47Speaker 1: I told the guys too. Hey, guys, don't forget there's
- 20:49Speaker 1: a no sweat bet over DraftKings.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Up to how much money? Five hundred, which is awesome,
- 20:53Speaker 3: Like it's huge, and that means like, if you lose it,
- 20:55Speaker 3: you have five hundred dollars whatever you whatever you bet,
- 20:57Speaker 3: but you can do it up to five hundred. So
- 20:59Speaker 3: if you bet five hundred, you have up to five
- 21:00Speaker 3: hundred dollars on your next bet. Hilariouss We're not doing
- 21:03Speaker 3: an ad right now, No, no, But what's stupid about
- 21:05Speaker 3: this is Bobby sends this always like up to five
- 21:08Speaker 3: hundred dollars. Guys go to DraftKings right right now.
- 21:10Speaker 5: And it's like twenty minutes before kickoff, we're like, oh, shoot,
- 21:12Speaker 5: gotta do no got.
- 21:13Speaker 3: So I jumped over there and I look at it.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I'd already used it for like five dollars. So why
- 21:20Speaker 3: because I didn't know it was up to five hundred,
- 21:22Speaker 3: I would have done something way bigger.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Interesting, I did mine for five hundred, and I bet
- 21:25Speaker 1: the Bengals plus or minus five and a half.
- 21:28Speaker 3: They did not cover.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Excuse me, So I rebt it and it was the
- 21:32Speaker 1: Broncos minus like nine and a half and they didn't cover.
- 21:35Speaker 1: So I lost two runs out. Yeah, but I was there.
- 21:38Speaker 3: It lost two runs. Here's the thing.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I lost all my money.
- 21:44Speaker 3: What everything that I driving count?
- 21:47Speaker 1: I got all the way down to like two hundred.
- 21:49Speaker 3: But but but the Cubs game, man, we made money at
- 21:51Speaker 3: the Cup. I know, I may.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I ended up having a great run last night.
- 21:55Speaker 3: You were on a heater.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I was at like three thirty three hundred going
- 21:58Speaker 1: into yesterday. I got all the way down to two
- 22:00Speaker 1: hundred dollars. Oh my goodness, I'm back to twenty three hundred,
- 22:03Speaker 1: which I made just last night.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Were your fingers just flying?
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm still way up because I started it like to
- 22:11Speaker 1: eighty two dollars. Yeah, but I had a I just
- 22:15Speaker 1: wanted our audience to know I'm being honest with you
- 22:17Speaker 1: guys like I had. I was the hottest of hot,
- 22:19Speaker 1: and then I suffered my de league got down to
- 22:22Speaker 1: like two hundred.
- 22:22Speaker 3: You know what.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I hit a couple uh any game touchdown score parlays, wow,
- 22:26Speaker 1: which made.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Me love those ones.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They're good, yep, and they never hit for me like
- 22:30Speaker 1: I suck at those. But again, I hit a Derrick
- 22:33Speaker 1: Henry James Cook two game three. I bet three hundred
- 22:36Speaker 1: bucks a hit for a thousand.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's good.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Hit nice, and so.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I made my way back up. So but yeah, no,
- 22:42Speaker 1: it was it was not good, not good for a
- 22:44Speaker 1: long time and then it finally got okay again.
- 22:46Speaker 3: But yeah, that was it. Saturday night, I stayed up
- 22:49Speaker 3: for the nightcaps and I got down to thirty. I
- 22:53Speaker 3: was at one fifty starting Saturday. Got down at thirty
- 22:56Speaker 3: bucks in the nightcap. I think it was like, I
- 22:58Speaker 3: don't know why, but it was, Oh, it's b Yu.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I thought b Yu would would score more because they
- 23:04Speaker 3: were killing that game. But now we got down at
- 23:07Speaker 3: thirty bucks. But at the end of that Buffalo Ravens game, Dude,
- 23:10Speaker 3: I'm back. Good for you.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I feel like I'm back to fighting weight. I mean,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm still up, but I'm back to fighting weight. Because
- 23:15Speaker 1: I was about three hundred bucks. I was like, I'm
- 23:17Speaker 1: gonna sit out next week.
- 23:18Speaker 3: You were already defeated. Yes, I'm gonna take a break.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I was like, I'm gonna sit out next week and
- 23:22Speaker 1: just kind of regather. I don't want to I'm gonna
- 23:24Speaker 1: be chasing, and uh, I mean I chased last night,
- 23:27Speaker 1: but I hit, and so.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Yeah, we're getting back good times.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I thought Patrick Mahomes lowering his shoulder and to the
- 23:32Speaker 1: defensive back was kind of.
- 23:33Speaker 3: A douchebag move.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Really agreed.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I like Patrick Mahomes a lot.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I like the Chiefs.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We're rooting for the Chiefs, for a Chiefs team. We are,
- 23:39Speaker 1: We're a Chiefs team, Kevin. That's money, yep.
- 23:42Speaker 3: And they're playing the freaking Eagles Week two.
- 23:44Speaker 5: That's gonna tak suck.
- 23:45Speaker 3: But the Cowboys almost beat the Eagles. So there's hope. No,
- 23:48Speaker 3: there's not.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The Cowboys had played an Eagles defense o their best
- 23:52Speaker 1: player and the Chiefs lost there maybe number one receiver, yes, but.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I thought, well, why why is that a douche?
- 24:00Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you because these these defensive backs
- 24:02Speaker 1: linebackersn't matter who the defensive players are conditioned to. If
- 24:05Speaker 1: a quarterback's running out, let up because they're going to
- 24:08Speaker 1: get a penalty. And so he was letting up and
- 24:10Speaker 1: Mahomes like, I don't think so wat nails them. It
- 24:13Speaker 1: was almost like a defenseless defensive player. Yeah, because he
- 24:17Speaker 1: was letting up. Yeah, And Mahomes lowered the shoulder and
- 24:20Speaker 1: I was like, not a good look.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Did not like that?
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:23Speaker 5: I thought the same thing. And then he did a
- 24:24Speaker 5: quick little flex.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 5: I was like, come on man, Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 1: If you're both going straightforward and you lower your shoulder,
- 24:30Speaker 1: good on you. They were running out and Mahomes more
- 24:33Speaker 1: than anybody because he does get the.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Benefit of the call. Yeah. I did not like that.
- 24:37Speaker 1: And it's hard because I like Patrick Mahomes. It's problematic.
- 24:40Speaker 1: He's non problematic, and I like non problematic awesome players.
- 24:44Speaker 1: And I also like awesome players who get hated on
- 24:46Speaker 1: for no reason because they're non problematic, so I continue to.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Root for them.
- 24:50Speaker 3: That makes sense, thank you. So I have that a
- 24:52Speaker 3: lot going on your head there. I got more too.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I did, and I wrote immediately on Twitter when it happened.
- 25:00Speaker 1: And so I'm still getting people that disagree with me
- 25:03Speaker 1: a lot about this and not leave it up.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But so the Phillies super Karen that went over and
- 25:09Speaker 1: took the ball from the kid. Yes, okay, so you've
- 25:12Speaker 1: probably seen the clip foul ball's hit. Dad runs over, it,
- 25:15Speaker 1: gets the ball, He goes like god, it gives it
- 25:16Speaker 1: to the kid. She runs over, goes, that's my baw.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Takes the ball back.
- 25:20Speaker 1: As soon as it was posted, I was like, okay,
- 25:22Speaker 1: she sucks. He's a whiss. Yeah, and everybody loses. And
- 25:28Speaker 1: then once the team was nice enough to see it
- 25:29Speaker 1: happen and give him all this. I came back and
- 25:31Speaker 1: I was like, hey, it looks like the team did
- 25:33Speaker 1: the right thing.
- 25:33Speaker 3: It's awesome.
- 25:34Speaker 1: The kid got a bat going to the World Series,
- 25:35Speaker 1: like all this stuff's happening. They got famous. But first
- 25:38Speaker 1: of all, she's awful because a home run ball, foul ball,
- 25:42Speaker 1: it's free game until it is in your possession. Even
- 25:45Speaker 1: if it's touching your hand, it's like bouncing around. It's
- 25:47Speaker 1: not yours until you hold it up about yeah, it's
- 25:50Speaker 1: not yours.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Yep.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So it was never her ball. He walked over immediately
- 25:54Speaker 1: grabbed it. It wasn't a thing where he's like scurrying, scuffling,
- 25:57Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden he has it. He
- 25:58Speaker 1: walks in and sees it, picks it up, takes it
- 26:00Speaker 1: over to his kid, and I'm like, that's awesome. That's
- 26:02Speaker 1: a good dad. I still think he's a good dad.
- 26:05Speaker 1: But she went over and got in his face. There
- 26:07Speaker 1: is no chance I would have given that ball to her.
- 26:09Speaker 1: That's letting a bully win. And I'm okay with a
- 26:11Speaker 1: bully winning if they can beat you up. So if
- 26:14Speaker 1: a bully came over, I was like, give me that ball,
- 26:16Speaker 1: and he was bigger than me.
- 26:20Speaker 4: That little lady trying to bully me.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do anything to her. But I'm like, no,
- 26:24Speaker 1: we're good, go back to your seat. I'm just gonna
- 26:25Speaker 1: hold the ball. The fact that he went back into
- 26:27Speaker 1: his kid's glove and gave her the ball that sucked.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Yeah, not a good look.
- 26:31Speaker 1: It's not even a man, woman.
- 26:33Speaker 3: It's just you let somebody who.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Didn't have the ability to bully you bully you. It's
- 26:40Speaker 1: like when a mouse scares an elephant. Yeah, hey, elephant,
- 26:43Speaker 1: stop it. Do you know what she said to him, Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: because the audio is now out there, it was like,
- 26:48Speaker 1: you took my ball or something like that, like that
- 26:50Speaker 1: was my ball.
- 26:51Speaker 4: That was in my hand.
- 26:53Speaker 3: That's that's terrible. So everybody lost.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Now, in the end, the kid wins because the kid
- 26:58Speaker 1: they're going to the World's water.
- 27:00Speaker 3: The ball too, they got, they get the whole thing.
- 27:03Speaker 3: That RV.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, like the guy that's like an RV owner send
- 27:07Speaker 1: them of the world series gave an RV.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Ended up being the greatest thing.
- 27:10Speaker 1: And people online are like, see, that's what happens whenever
- 27:13Speaker 1: you give the ball up.
- 27:14Speaker 3: To the lay.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm like, no, no, no, this is a freaking incident.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Where it became viral.
- 27:18Speaker 1: So therefore people are like, oh, the auto something going
- 27:21Speaker 1: viral like that, not one in a million. But I
- 27:25Speaker 1: thought everybody sucked in that situation. I thought the lady
- 27:28Speaker 1: sucked the hardest and the worst. I thought the dad dude,
- 27:31Speaker 1: just say no, it's my ball, go back to your seat,
- 27:33Speaker 1: like no with my kid. He took the ball out
- 27:35Speaker 1: of his kid's glove and gave it to her.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 27:38Speaker 5: It's embarrassing as the dead it's it sucks.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Yeah, even if it was a woman, it doesn't matter
- 27:42Speaker 1: dad kid, woman. Man, if they can't beat you up,
- 27:46Speaker 1: they can't bully you, just go no. But in the
- 27:51Speaker 1: end it happened. So that was another note I made.
- 27:54Speaker 1: And we have stopped docks and People. Even though she
- 27:56Speaker 1: was a douchebag. Don't they misidentified her three times, said
- 28:00Speaker 1: she was the wrong person. People went to the wrong
- 28:01Speaker 1: people's accounts, trashing their account My goodness, even if they
- 28:05Speaker 1: were right the first time, don't be docks and people
- 28:07Speaker 1: for something like that. Yeah, that's not that's not run
- 28:11Speaker 1: someone's life mistake. That's you're a bad person. You're on
- 28:14Speaker 1: the internet and people that know you know. But you
- 28:16Speaker 1: don't have to put their name where they work.
- 28:18Speaker 3: That sucks. It's almost criminal to like do more research
- 28:22Speaker 3: to find out more about it. And that's what they
- 28:23Speaker 3: were doing. They're like Internet, do your thing.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And then they they said that they'd get a name
- 28:28Speaker 1: and they'd post it. It's so and so and she
- 28:30Speaker 1: has a hyphen and like, oh classics, they have a hyphen.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Of course, I bet she's woke. And that turns out
- 28:35Speaker 1: wasn't the right person.
- 28:36Speaker 5: Terrible go.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So that was another one on my list. Here uh,
- 28:40Speaker 3: here's another one.
- 28:41Speaker 1: So this is the lady when they were talking about
- 28:42Speaker 1: the power Ball, and we do have a winner, so
- 28:44Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. But they were in Alabama and they
- 28:46Speaker 1: went to Susie Connery and they said, Susie, what would
- 28:49Speaker 1: you do if you won the Mega millions?
- 28:52Speaker 3: Have you guta see this clip?
- 28:53Speaker 1: No, no, I tell exactly what I'd do with the
- 28:55Speaker 1: first seventy million.
- 28:57Speaker 5: I'd pay off Kaitlin to Boord and get him.
- 28:59Speaker 1: The heck out of the University of Alabama.
- 29:01Speaker 3: And then I'd take whatever else it took to get
- 29:03Speaker 3: rid of the ad. I'd give my church money. I
- 29:07Speaker 3: don't have much of what i'd have.
- 29:09Speaker 4: You know, after paying my taxes, but I'm sure i'd
- 29:11Speaker 4: have plenty with this this kind of deal.
- 29:13Speaker 1: But I know I'm not gonna win.
- 29:14Speaker 3: I just hope I win some scratch offs. I just
- 29:16Speaker 3: do it for the pump.
- 29:17Speaker 1: The news goes up to her and the first thing
- 29:19Speaker 1: she says is Caylen to Burrow, You're out of here,
- 29:22Speaker 1: Alabama coach.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I'm buying you out. That's respect, that's Alabama fan.
- 29:27Speaker 5: That's fantastic.
- 29:30Speaker 3: So I have that. My other note I have.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I was watching the Oklahoma Michigan game with my wife
- 29:36Speaker 1: and she was Broklahoma hard. But she still has like
- 29:38Speaker 1: sympathy for other players on the other team. Like when
- 29:43Speaker 1: the Michigan kicker misses it, She's like, oh, I hate
- 29:45Speaker 1: that for him, and I'm like yeah, She's like, it
- 29:48Speaker 1: doesn't matter, like I feel bad for him. He's already
- 29:50Speaker 1: different than everybody else on the team, yes, and now
- 29:54Speaker 1: he's different and he let him down.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I mean, I like the human angle to her football watching. Yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 3: but I've never heard of that.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And then I said, at one point there was like
- 30:06Speaker 1: a hard hit or something, and I was like, I
- 30:08Speaker 1: was like, yeah, I get up. I get it from that,
- 30:11Speaker 1: and she was like, do you understand that? What would
- 30:12Speaker 1: happen to you if you get hit like that? And
- 30:14Speaker 1: then you went on a whole five minute monologue about
- 30:16Speaker 1: how my body would explode from one single hit like that,
- 30:19Speaker 1: and she's like, you get hurt when you go to sleep.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Imagine if that happened to So I really opened myself
- 30:23Speaker 1: up to like next time to say internally, yeah, yeah, keep.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It tears away always. So I think those are all
- 30:34Speaker 3: of my normal notes. Did you see the Buffalo fan
- 30:38Speaker 3: that was hitting Hopkins?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Confused about that because I did see it. Now, I
- 30:43Speaker 1: missed all of it live, and I think if you're
- 30:45Speaker 1: watching it live, you probably still didn't catch it because
- 30:47Speaker 1: it was even the background of the shot.
- 30:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So I did see a zoom in on that fan
- 30:51Speaker 1: who hits Hopkins in the head, but he didn't hit
- 30:53Speaker 1: that hard.
- 30:53Speaker 3: He's pushing his helmet like get out of here.
- 30:56Speaker 5: Yeah, like kind of fun. Hopkins wasn't an it was
- 30:59Speaker 5: the one he pushed him.
- 31:00Speaker 1: But he hits he hits Hopkins helm at first, ye, yes, yes,
- 31:03Speaker 1: and then LaMarsh you have to suspend Lamar for that.
- 31:06Speaker 3: You have to.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yes, you have to suspend Lamar for that. It's hilarious.
- 31:12Speaker 1: But you can't. You can't touch fans. You gotta And
- 31:15Speaker 1: Lamar said it too, he was like, you gotta have
- 31:16Speaker 1: security do that. If he was, it's so funny. But
- 31:21Speaker 1: because you see Lamar in the background to shove the
- 31:23Speaker 1: fan down, if the fan was a threat to a player,
- 31:26Speaker 1: like a literal threat, it's okay. It's like if a
- 31:28Speaker 1: streaker runs down you think they may have a knife
- 31:30Speaker 1: or something. You can tackle that freaking streaker, take him down.
- 31:34Speaker 1: He wasn't a threat, So you can't hit the fans.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Why does the fan have the right and I know
- 31:38Speaker 3: that he doesn't have the right the kick him ou
- 31:40Speaker 3: imediately they kick him out and stuff as a kid too, right,
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah he's young, Yeah he's fifteen older teenager okay maybe
- 31:47Speaker 3: so uh. You know, like fans love to like yell
- 31:50Speaker 3: at players, but we expect the players to do nothing back, right,
- 31:53Speaker 3: like not even talk back, even if a player turns
- 31:55Speaker 3: around and yells him like no peep. You like, they
- 31:57Speaker 3: get in trouble for that. Yeah, but it almost seems
- 31:59Speaker 3: like it's.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Not bear you know, what's not fair that they get
- 32:02Speaker 1: They make thirty million dollars to go out and play
- 32:04Speaker 1: a game and they're supposed to have a little more tact.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Okay, take that out of it.
- 32:07Speaker 1: No, no, you can't take it out of it. It'd
- 32:09Speaker 1: be like if we got online to every commenter and
- 32:12Speaker 1: send them videos back and being like f you, f you.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Occasionally I'll mix up a little bit, but even then
- 32:18Speaker 1: it's not a good look.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Like you're supposed to be bigger than that, right, I
- 32:20Speaker 3: understand that you've grown. Yes, Yeah, of course it's hard. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 3: I a caree hard when somebody use your helmet like
- 32:26Speaker 3: you just want to be.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Like, that's wrong because he's been getting jacked all night
- 32:29Speaker 1: and the kid touching his helmet hit the kid should
- 32:33Speaker 1: not have hit touched his helmet like that. Yeah, but Lamark,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you can't go shoving fans.
- 32:40Speaker 3: You can't.
- 32:40Speaker 1: And it's hilarious.
- 32:41Speaker 5: It's so funny.
- 32:41Speaker 3: It's so funny.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I'm not even mad about it, Like I think it's funny.
- 32:44Speaker 1: You can't do that. But I understand. But fans pay
- 32:48Speaker 1: their ticket to go and be a fan, and a fan.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Is fanatic, But doesn't means yell whatever you want to them,
- 32:55Speaker 3: or touch.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Them or push them y'all close to whatever you want.
- 32:59Speaker 3: When they respond it's usually something bad.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but it's not a good look. You're supposed
- 33:05Speaker 1: to be above that because you've been able to grow
- 33:07Speaker 1: through that as a player. You played in high school,
- 33:09Speaker 1: you played in college, you're now at the NFL. I
- 33:12Speaker 1: gotta imagine it's like being a parent, right If you
- 33:13Speaker 1: get handed a twelve year old, you're like, I don't
- 33:15Speaker 1: know what I'm doing.
- 33:15Speaker 3: But if you grow with it from baby on.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Up, you have the skills, the growth through all those years.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Same with the players. There's an expectation on them because
- 33:25Speaker 1: of the place they're in and the money they're making.
- 33:27Speaker 3: And there's a little bit of taunting, right like them
- 33:29Speaker 3: running along the side at Buffalo, A little like you're
- 33:32Speaker 3: kind of teaching, for sure. Pretty funny. Yeah, hilarious. You can't.
- 33:38Speaker 3: You can't do that.
- 33:39Speaker 1: You can't push a fan unless there are a threat
- 33:41Speaker 1: to the other player. Again hilarious. I hope he doesn't
- 33:45Speaker 1: get suspended. I wish once a season, if you're a player,
- 33:49Speaker 1: one time of year, if a fan's really pissing you off,
- 33:51Speaker 1: you could challenge them.
- 33:51Speaker 3: There we go. You got a card. You can use
- 33:53Speaker 3: it one you.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Don't use it one time and see see if they
- 33:56Speaker 1: want to come take the challenge. They won't, and if
- 33:58Speaker 1: they don't, that's great, But then we get to see
- 34:00Speaker 1: in front of everybody how big of.
- 34:01Speaker 3: A what they really are.
- 34:03Speaker 1: One punch card, Well maybe to punch you know what
- 34:06Speaker 1: we're gonna do, Oklahoma drill?
- 34:08Speaker 3: Yeah, awesome, you think you're such a big boy.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Me and you, we'll put pads on you halftime of
- 34:14Speaker 1: the game one time.
- 34:16Speaker 3: That'd be funny. But lamar, you can't be telling you. You
- 34:18Speaker 3: just can't.
- 34:20Speaker 1: You can let your team down.
- 34:21Speaker 3: It's why. It's just really what it is.
- 34:23Speaker 1: You're letting your team down if you're not able to
- 34:24Speaker 1: play the next game. So, yeah, hilarious. I didn't see
- 34:29Speaker 1: it a live of those, So I just want a
- 34:30Speaker 1: clip five hundred times.
- 34:31Speaker 3: No, I mean I think that happened during commercial break.
- 34:33Speaker 3: They had to go back and show it. Oh, is
- 34:34Speaker 3: that what it was? Yeah? Got it? Anything else you
- 34:38Speaker 3: want to mention? I feel like we kind of got
- 34:42Speaker 3: all the big stuff out there. It was just great.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Oh I do want to say something, Go ahead. I'm
- 34:45Speaker 3: proud of Nashville. It was so cool. Like I was
- 34:49Speaker 3: driving back from our basketball games and Tennessee was playing
- 34:53Speaker 3: and I stopped to get gas and there's a FedEx
- 34:57Speaker 3: truck driving into the gas station and you can hear
- 35:00Speaker 3: the game loud in his radio as he's delivering back
- 35:04Speaker 3: at this you just hear like, here, cam Moore's got
- 35:06Speaker 3: the ball, and I'm like, this is cool. He's listening.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Then I go inside to get whatever I was getting,
- 35:11Speaker 3: and the guy at the cashier is just like, come on, baby, God,
- 35:14Speaker 3: you gotta make that catch. And it was cool to
- 35:17Speaker 3: see the whole city just like around streams and the
- 35:20Speaker 3: radio listening to their home team play football. I just
- 35:24Speaker 3: hadn't seen that before. That was really really cool. It
- 35:26Speaker 3: felt like almost like old school a Week.
- 35:28Speaker 1: One romance too, because I haven't lost a bunch of
- 35:30Speaker 1: games yet. True, I gotta imagine they go oh to
- 35:32Speaker 1: five that Week six romance not.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Gonna be pure, right Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Also, they looked kind of bad, but there was just
- 35:41Speaker 1: some promise there, like cam Moore at times look like, oh,
- 35:43Speaker 1: this is it, he can do this.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Their defense are good?
- 35:46Speaker 1: How many drop balls though? He's he just kept dropping
- 35:48Speaker 1: those balls.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 5: I was like, dude, he needs you, Kim mooreton needs him.
- 35:52Speaker 1: He needed anything, and really drops some bad balls a
- 35:56Speaker 1: decent game, but I think had a fumble too that
- 35:57Speaker 1: hurt well. I kept every time time he'd drop a ball,
- 36:01Speaker 1: I'd be like, drop it, like it's not what.
- 36:08Speaker 3: I don't know what I call him? Who is collared?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Every time Ridle would drop a ball or what I
- 36:15Speaker 1: call him?
- 36:16Speaker 3: Oh CD, Yeah, it was very CDs. Yes, it's very
- 36:20Speaker 3: CDs like CD. Sorry, oh no, it's very upsetting.
- 36:27Speaker 1: We talked about that coming up though the Cowboys.
- 36:28Speaker 3: We do, we do.
- 36:29Speaker 1: We actually recorded that after the game so we'd have
- 36:31Speaker 1: it for this show.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You know, one of my neighbors left a sign on
- 36:33Speaker 3: my front door that said go Eagles. WHOA. And I'm
- 36:39Speaker 3: not public about it like that. I think my kids
- 36:41Speaker 3: they all wear Cowboys stuff, so they see the kids
- 36:43Speaker 3: playing football in the front, like, you know, we're in
- 36:45Speaker 3: Cowboys gear. But like, I'm not public around my neighborhood
- 36:48Speaker 3: how much I love. I don't have a flag waving
- 36:49Speaker 3: or anything. Do you know which neighbor it was? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 1: The only proper way to get back at them would
- 36:54Speaker 1: be spray paint their garage.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Oh I love it with a big star, or.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Like fake abduct their kid and throw them in the
- 37:00Speaker 1: back of the car, tape them up and cowboys a
- 37:03Speaker 1: cowboy hat in Jersey.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Define what he did? Your kids do it.
- 37:10Speaker 1: We're gonna come back with David Pollock in a second.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Don't let one bad leg haunt your parlay. Parlays turn

- 39:13Speaker 1: current college football analyst David Pollack. David was two time
- 39:16Speaker 1: SEC Defensive Player the Year, first team All American, Georgia's
- 39:19Speaker 1: all time leader in sacks. The list goes on and on.
- 39:22Speaker 1: His career was cut short because of a severe neck injury,
- 39:24Speaker 1: but was a first round draft pick of the Bengals
- 39:27Speaker 1: in two thousand and five. You can listen to his podcast, Seball,
- 39:30Speaker 1: Get Ball, and follow him on social media at David
- 39:33Speaker 1: Pollock forty seven. Here he is, David Pollack, David, good
- 39:37Speaker 1: to see you.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Man, Great to see brother. Thanks for having me out.
- 39:39Speaker 1: A couple things. What's a Saturday like at your house?
- 39:41Speaker 1: Like this last Saturday?
- 39:42Speaker 3: What's it like?
- 39:45Speaker 4: Probably the laziest human in the world.
- 39:48Speaker 6: I always wake up and make sure that I get
- 39:51Speaker 6: my workout in, you know, get some steps in because
- 39:53Speaker 6: the rest of the day is going to consist of
- 39:56Speaker 6: watching football, multiple screens and multiple games going. I got
- 40:02Speaker 6: my laptop in front of me taking notes of everything
- 40:05Speaker 6: that I see in the observations, and it's literally it's
- 40:08Speaker 6: a quick grind from from twelve o'clock to night time.
- 40:12Speaker 4: It's like what just happened?
- 40:13Speaker 6: It was it was fast and furious, but it's so
- 40:16Speaker 6: much dag im fun too. It's not like it's really working.
- 40:18Speaker 6: And think about this, man, Like my wife says, like,
- 40:20Speaker 6: what do you want to do?
- 40:21Speaker 4: Something you want to do?
- 40:22Speaker 6: Like, sorry, bet, I gotta work, Like I got to
- 40:23Speaker 6: sit here right on the couch and work.
- 40:25Speaker 4: So it's a lot of consuming for sure.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Do you still catch the West Coast games too? Or
- 40:30Speaker 1: is it bedtime?
- 40:31Speaker 6: Oh god, no, we're catching them all, brother, Like, we're
- 40:34Speaker 6: not going to bed till, you know, till one or two.
- 40:36Speaker 6: I mean it's you know, I was up watching byu late,
- 40:40Speaker 6: you know, this past after this past Saturday, after everything
- 40:43Speaker 6: was commencing. Actually I'm sorry Sunday morning. So no, you
- 40:45Speaker 6: definitely stay up and watch as much as you can
- 40:48Speaker 6: to to make sure you're educated. There's some good football
- 40:51Speaker 6: out west man, Like it's fun to it's fun to
- 40:53Speaker 6: watch that and consume that as well.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Can you watch NFL though, recreationally because you're watching college obviously,
- 40:59Speaker 1: because you're an expert. Can you watch NFL with a
- 41:03Speaker 1: little less attention?
- 41:04Speaker 4: Man? I just try to. I try not to on Sundays.
- 41:08Speaker 4: I try to just get away from it.
- 41:09Speaker 6: And we've got church and we've got you know, a
- 41:11Speaker 6: small group, and we've got other things, so it'll be
- 41:13Speaker 6: on like during the day at the end of the day.
- 41:16Speaker 4: But now we.
- 41:16Speaker 6: Definitely try to do more as a family and get
- 41:20Speaker 6: up and move a little bit more and do like
- 41:22Speaker 6: I love to play golf in the afternoon if I can,
- 41:24Speaker 6: if I can sneak that in.
- 41:25Speaker 4: But now I can't watch any.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Game like a normal like just sit back and relax
- 41:30Speaker 6: and watch like I'm definitely always looking at the game
- 41:33Speaker 6: from an analytical view, probably one of the only things
- 41:35Speaker 6: that won't turn my brain off.
- 41:37Speaker 4: But NFL football is fun and different. And I've played.
- 41:40Speaker 6: Fantasy for years and that's kind of changes the way
- 41:43Speaker 6: you look at the game. But this year I told
- 41:45Speaker 6: I committed. I said, I'm not watching for fantasy. I'm
- 41:48Speaker 6: not doing it. I'm not getting upset like I'm just
- 41:50Speaker 6: cheering my guy on. So I try to decompress a
- 41:53Speaker 6: little bit on Sundays after.
- 41:55Speaker 3: You finished playing after your injury.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And I have different friends that play different positions, and
- 41:58Speaker 1: their bodies did different things after they retired. Some of
- 42:01Speaker 1: them put on a bunch of weight, some of them
- 42:03Speaker 1: lost a bunch of weight. You played a position nowhere,
- 42:05Speaker 1: I'm not sure if you had to keep your weight
- 42:07Speaker 1: up or down because you played a very athletic position,
- 42:09Speaker 1: but it was on the line. What happened to you
- 42:12Speaker 1: physically after you stopped playing.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I was a chunky. I was a chunky monkey.
- 42:17Speaker 4: I always was growing up.
- 42:18Speaker 6: And it's funny your identity gets you know, it's okay
- 42:20Speaker 6: when you're a football player to be thicker and be
- 42:22Speaker 6: bigger and so defensive lineman. I was two ninety two
- 42:25Speaker 6: at my heaviest. And you do, you're you're absolutely right.
- 42:29Speaker 6: You go one or two ways. You either keep the
- 42:31Speaker 6: habits you had and if you do, you're gonna keep growing,
- 42:37Speaker 6: or you start.
- 42:37Speaker 4: To change the eating habits.
- 42:39Speaker 6: And so I've definitely lost like fifty sixty pounds from
- 42:43Speaker 6: my top playing weight, and it's a different look. I
- 42:46Speaker 6: eat to survive. I'm not one of those persons that
- 42:49Speaker 6: has a lot of these like temptations and food like
- 42:51Speaker 6: I don't care where we go eat.
- 42:53Speaker 4: I just I want to eat the same thing.
- 42:54Speaker 6: I want to know what I'm eating, and definitely me
- 42:58Speaker 6: and my buddies when you go back to reunion, it's
- 43:00Speaker 6: you're a one hundred percent right, it's one or the other.
- 43:03Speaker 6: It's get really skinny and trim or it's put on
- 43:06Speaker 6: a little bit of weight and you look like you
- 43:08Speaker 6: played a totally different position.
- 43:10Speaker 1: You said you work out every day before, Oh, you
- 43:11Speaker 1: try to work out every day, same with me, But
- 43:14Speaker 1: I assume our workouts are a bit different. Just looking
- 43:16Speaker 1: at us, I would think visually, So are you still
- 43:19Speaker 1: a guy who does heavy weight or how have you
- 43:21Speaker 1: changed your workouts?
- 43:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm done with heavyweight, man, Like, heavyweight does nothing
- 43:26Speaker 6: for me. I'm not trying to have any more surgeries
- 43:28Speaker 6: or put my body through anything I don't need to.
- 43:31Speaker 6: Like I squatted almost seven hundred pounds in college, but like,
- 43:34Speaker 6: I'm not going over you know, two seventy five on
- 43:36Speaker 6: a squad now, and I'll just do twenty five reps bench.
- 43:39Speaker 4: I'm not gonna do over two twenty five.
- 43:41Speaker 6: I'll do twenty five to thirty reps if I need
- 43:43Speaker 6: to do twenty five to thirty reps, or I'll slow
- 43:45Speaker 6: it down big time. Like the other day we did
- 43:48Speaker 6: sets of ten and I did you know a five
- 43:50Speaker 6: count down with two twenty five hesitate and then come up. Well,
- 43:54Speaker 6: you do ten reps like that, it'll hurt, Like you
- 43:56Speaker 6: can make the weight hurt.
- 43:57Speaker 4: So to me, it's more about moving fast. We're big
- 44:00Speaker 4: on the row machine.
- 44:02Speaker 6: We're big on the bike, especially the assault bike, because
- 44:05Speaker 6: that thing will whip your Heini like, but it's definitely
- 44:07Speaker 6: a different way of training. I'm not trying to get
- 44:10Speaker 6: big and to have all this mass, you know as
- 44:13Speaker 6: we get older, trying to fight father time and continue
- 44:15Speaker 6: to be able to do some explosive things, but not
- 44:17Speaker 6: be like a big corn fed mule.
- 44:20Speaker 4: I've had those days. Those days are gone.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Let's get into the games this last Saturday. I want
- 44:24Speaker 1: to start with the Troy Clemson game. Like forever, I
- 44:27Speaker 1: was like, wait, what is even happening here?
- 44:29Speaker 4: Clemson?
- 44:29Speaker 1: You know obviously lost week one? What's happening over there?
- 44:33Speaker 4: Man? Here's the thing.
- 44:34Speaker 6: I'm gonna give Clemson a little bit of the benefit
- 44:37Speaker 6: of the doubt and say maybe, like, you know, because
- 44:40Speaker 6: Antonio Williams is their best receiver and it's not close.
- 44:43Speaker 6: He's their go to guy. So I'm giving them a
- 44:45Speaker 6: little benefit of the doubt and say like, Okay, you know,
- 44:47Speaker 6: he gets hurt first possession of the first you know,
- 44:50Speaker 6: first series, and they're still trying to figure out who
- 44:53Speaker 6: they are, Like that's their go to guy. It's built
- 44:55Speaker 6: through them, but it's not a surprise. They get down,
- 44:58Speaker 6: you know, thirteen at the half, and what do they do.
- 45:00Speaker 6: They come out in the second half and they pound
- 45:02Speaker 6: the rock. They had seventeen yards rushing. They beat that
- 45:04Speaker 6: in one play to start the second half. And they
- 45:07Speaker 6: got going downhill and they got more physical and then
- 45:10Speaker 6: they get three interceptions and the energy picks up. Westco Bryant.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Westco becomes the Guy Cavee club. Nick plays better, Like
- 45:18Speaker 6: I think they're going to continue to figure out who
- 45:20Speaker 6: they are, but it's definitely frustrating to watch as a
- 45:23Speaker 6: Clemson fan, Like you want that physical identity on offense
- 45:26Speaker 6: or some kind of identity that you can hang your
- 45:28Speaker 6: hat on, and through a couple of weeks, man, it's
- 45:30Speaker 6: been it's been very average, and that's not what you're
- 45:33Speaker 6: looking forward to.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I watched a lot of the Texas game just to
- 45:36Speaker 1: see what Arch would do. It did look like he
- 45:39Speaker 1: was grimacing when he would throw. You think there's anything
- 45:42Speaker 1: to that.
- 45:42Speaker 4: One hundred percent.
- 45:43Speaker 6: You don't do that on purpose and you're never trying
- 45:47Speaker 6: to give anybody any ammunition. But you know, Arch didn't
- 45:50Speaker 6: play up to his potential in Week one and took
- 45:53Speaker 6: a giant step backwards, and you know, I don't know
- 45:57Speaker 6: if something's wrong with him, but I didn't see that
- 45:59Speaker 6: in Week one.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I didn't see the grimaces.
- 46:00Speaker 6: I saw some big time throws late in that football game,
- 46:03Speaker 6: but he definitely looked with the grimace like something was
- 46:05Speaker 6: a little bit wrong.
- 46:06Speaker 4: And I got news for you.
- 46:08Speaker 6: Anybody who's played football, you know, man, like you're healthy
- 46:11Speaker 6: this week one.
- 46:12Speaker 4: And then throughout the season.
- 46:13Speaker 6: It's just it's how do you mitigate, mitigate your body
- 46:15Speaker 6: and mitigate disaster and try to continue to be as
- 46:18Speaker 6: good as you can. But you're never going to be
- 46:20Speaker 6: one hundred percent again, Like it's just not going to happen.
- 46:23Speaker 6: But I hope he gets healthy. He's still got a
- 46:25Speaker 6: lot of maturing to do. Man, he needs reps. Like
- 46:28Speaker 6: he's got talent, yes, and he can make some big
- 46:30Speaker 6: time throws, but seeing it pulling the trigger, He's got
- 46:34Speaker 6: to continue to grow and get more efficient with that
- 46:36Speaker 6: if Texas wants to go win a national championship.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I know we're bouncing around here, but I feel like
- 46:42Speaker 1: Florida fans are just being drugging with all different directions.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Like last year they started terribly, they really ended strong,
- 46:49Speaker 1: They give Napier a new contract and then he goes
- 46:51Speaker 1: out and loses it to South Florida, Like, what is
- 46:53Speaker 1: happening in Gainesville?
- 46:55Speaker 4: Man?
- 46:55Speaker 6: And I know those fans got to be because because
- 46:58Speaker 6: you were right in this spot a year ago and
- 47:00Speaker 6: negativity came. It was swirling and it was like time
- 47:02Speaker 6: to get rid of Napier. And then they get hot
- 47:04Speaker 6: and you saw DJ Lagway and you're like, that's a dude, man,
- 47:07Speaker 6: six three, two fifty.
- 47:08Speaker 4: That's a quarterback to build around.
- 47:10Speaker 6: And then the offense just kind of looks ugh, and
- 47:12Speaker 6: you score sixteen points against South Florida, Like it's it's
- 47:16Speaker 6: got to be frustrating.
- 47:17Speaker 4: This team's got to do better the way they lost
- 47:20Speaker 4: to Man like last first, first two things.
- 47:24Speaker 6: One, you get super conservative late in the game with
- 47:27Speaker 6: the lead and you run run, It's almost like you're
- 47:30Speaker 6: up by ten points and you give the football back
- 47:32Speaker 6: and they miss a field goal. And then you get
- 47:34Speaker 6: aggressive and you missed a few shots, which is okay
- 47:37Speaker 6: to be aggressive, but you've got to make plays and
- 47:39Speaker 6: you got to finish games out. Then what happens, like
- 47:41Speaker 6: how about the spit gate, Like you come and you
- 47:45Speaker 6: just saw Jalen Carter do the spit thing and it
- 47:47Speaker 6: didn't work out well for him, right, like gets kicked
- 47:49Speaker 6: out of the game.
- 47:49Speaker 4: And then Brendan Bett does the same thing.
- 47:52Speaker 6: It's a fifteen yard penalty to move them closer to
- 47:54Speaker 6: field goal range. So I mean you had eleven penalties,
- 47:57Speaker 6: you had two touchdowns called back. Like, if you're a
- 48:00Speaker 6: Florida fan, you're frustrating. You're tired of like shooting yourselves
- 48:04Speaker 6: in the foot, not playing up to potential.
- 48:06Speaker 4: And they did it again this week.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Man, what's up with the spit?
- 48:09Speaker 1: Like we saw it twice in high profile situations. Did
- 48:13Speaker 1: did was that when you were playing with people spitting
- 48:15Speaker 1: on each other with big loogies.
- 48:18Speaker 6: Bro, if you walk to lou yeah me, you're gonna
- 48:19Speaker 6: get it. You will get something back. I can promise
- 48:21Speaker 6: you that. Like that's not I mean, you saw Romanowski
- 48:24Speaker 6: do it back in the day, and I don't know,
- 48:27Speaker 6: I don't know what it is. But if you've seen
- 48:29Speaker 6: it now and you've seen the reaction, you're gonna get tossed.
- 48:32Speaker 4: You're gonna cost your.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Team, Like, we're gonna have to dial back the spit
- 48:35Speaker 6: for goodness sakes, Like go throw some hands or something
- 48:38Speaker 6: or push and shove like whatever that is needs to
- 48:41Speaker 6: go away, because there's I mean, there's not a lot
- 48:43Speaker 6: worse you can do than spit on someone, like literally
- 48:46Speaker 6: spitting on somebody that's not like, it's not gonna be tolerated.
- 48:49Speaker 4: We gotta we gotta get rid of that. That's disgusting.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I watched Any Given Saturday, the Netflix series, and I
- 48:54Speaker 1: really like Jeff Levy coming out of that. And my
- 48:56Speaker 1: family they're all massive, O you fans. I'm a Arkansas guy,
- 48:59Speaker 1: but you know, he went to school at Ou coach
- 49:01Speaker 1: at Ou obviously before he made his way back around
- 49:03Speaker 1: to be the Missippi Sate head coach. But it was
- 49:05Speaker 1: my firstal experience with like seeing the personality of Jeff Levy.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Obviously they had a massive game on Saturday night. Do
- 49:11Speaker 1: you know much about him?
- 49:12Speaker 3: Do you like him?
- 49:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Jeff's cool. Jeff's a cool cat.
- 49:15Speaker 6: He's a I think he's a really good fit for
- 49:17Speaker 6: Mississippi State because it's his country. He wants to run
- 49:21Speaker 6: his offense a certain way in Mississippi State. Man, just
- 49:25Speaker 6: coming out the gates and how about the cow bells too?
- 49:27Speaker 6: Like you turn on that broadcast and your little your
- 49:30Speaker 6: ears are ringing, Like my ears were still ringing at
- 49:32Speaker 6: two am. It was just it's so loud and so
- 49:35Speaker 6: obnoxious in a good way, like it's a great thing.
- 49:37Speaker 6: And I think Levy to get that win because last
- 49:40Speaker 6: year it was it was a mess, right and you
- 49:43Speaker 6: saw the you still saw the care on that any
- 49:45Speaker 6: given Saturday. You still saw the way they cared against
- 49:48Speaker 6: Ole miss right late in the season.
- 49:49Speaker 4: They still wanted to win. They were still fighting for
- 49:51Speaker 4: their coach. And I think it's it's easy to cheer
- 49:53Speaker 4: for a guy like that.
- 49:54Speaker 6: His offense is as fun as exciting shape and played
- 49:58Speaker 6: pretty well. They made some big plays down the stretch
- 50:00Speaker 6: and I think, you know, Stark Vegas was rocking, And
- 50:03Speaker 6: that's that's one of those things, man, that you need
- 50:05Speaker 6: to buy in. You need a moment like at Georgia
- 50:08Speaker 6: my first year with coach Rick, the Georgia Tennessee game,
- 50:12Speaker 6: the Hobmail Boot game, like we went, Okay, we can
- 50:14Speaker 6: do this, Like we just we needed to prove it
- 50:17Speaker 6: to ourselves. And I think Mississippi State proving it to
- 50:20Speaker 6: themselves now. It's still got a tough schedule and a
- 50:22Speaker 6: lot of road to hoe, but like that will do
- 50:24Speaker 6: a lot for the locker room, for the belief, for
- 50:26Speaker 6: the trust in coach and and him building a future there.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Those fans just picked up the goalpost on the way.
- 50:31Speaker 1: It was like they rushed the field, grabbed them and
- 50:33Speaker 1: they just took off running with it. It was like
- 50:35Speaker 1: shout out to Stark Stark building all those fans because
- 50:37Speaker 1: I've never seen goal posts come up so quick.
- 50:40Speaker 6: They're they're trying to get rid of that in the sport,
- 50:42Speaker 6: like right, like not not let them do it, but
- 50:44Speaker 6: it is. That's that's the great thing about college man
- 50:47Speaker 6: storm the field, the emotion, the passion, like they're doing
- 50:50Speaker 6: the post game and everybody's in there so tight and
- 50:53Speaker 6: there's nowhere to there's nowhere.
- 50:54Speaker 4: To not be seen. You can't even see grass. It
- 50:56Speaker 4: doesn't even look like a field.
- 50:57Speaker 6: But yeah, I just want to know where they went
- 50:59Speaker 6: with it, because Start Vegas is small, baby, Like, I
- 51:02Speaker 6: know you didn't take it to the water, Like where
- 51:03Speaker 6: where do we.
- 51:04Speaker 4: Where do we go and go plant our goalpost?
- 51:06Speaker 1: Was there ever a game where they rushed it either
- 51:08Speaker 1: where you lost and it's just awkward and you're like,
- 51:11Speaker 1: oh man, these fans are everywhere or the opposite where
- 51:14Speaker 1: it happened, and you're like, man, this is crazy, like
- 51:16Speaker 1: we won and the fans are all down on top
- 51:17Speaker 1: of us.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Well that's the thing.
- 51:20Speaker 6: When you're a player that loses, you're pissed off and
- 51:24Speaker 6: you got all these people that they're not meaning to
- 51:25Speaker 6: but they're running into you like they're running on the field,
- 51:28Speaker 6: and they're they're kind of bumping with you, and you
- 51:30Speaker 6: literally want to lower your shoulder and eliminate a human
- 51:33Speaker 6: being out of your way cause you're you're upset right
- 51:35Speaker 6: like you're you want to take it out, but you know,
- 51:37Speaker 6: you know you can't do that, but it is it's
- 51:40Speaker 6: hard to keep your composure when that's when that's happening.
- 51:43Speaker 6: But when you're a student and that's happened for you,
- 51:46Speaker 6: like the passion and energy because because you get so
- 51:49Speaker 6: much like the dog walk at Georgia when I was there, man,
- 51:51Speaker 6: like to go through and watch these people's eyes and
- 51:54Speaker 6: to watch how much like passion they have, Like, man,
- 51:58Speaker 6: if it doesn't get you excited to, I don't know
- 52:00Speaker 6: what does.
- 52:01Speaker 4: If they're that excited, you dang sure better be.
- 52:03Speaker 6: And and the thing I always loved about Georgia, like
- 52:05Speaker 6: you can bark at another human be like a grown
- 52:07Speaker 6: adult can bark engine that's and that's socially acceptable. Like
- 52:11Speaker 6: I'm all in for that kind of culture, but I
- 52:13Speaker 6: can see how it could lead to some bad I'm
- 52:16Speaker 6: surprised we haven't had more of the other, like people
- 52:19Speaker 6: getting upset, people getting ran over, you know, because you're
- 52:22Speaker 6: you're literally running on the field with a bunch of
- 52:24Speaker 6: folks that are you know, not in the greatest of spirits,
- 52:27Speaker 6: that are sometimes angry and upset because they just lost.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I mean, I think aligarette blunt. That was not a
- 52:32Speaker 1: positive one. When they ran down and they punched them.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I mean that that was a bad one. But yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 1: I think I would That's why I would react to
- 52:38Speaker 1: fans ran down and I lost.
- 52:39Speaker 3: I do not think.
- 52:40Speaker 1: I think i'mould be so triggered from losing that it
- 52:42Speaker 1: would not be a positive environment for me.
- 52:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, you're the emotions are not fun, Like
- 52:48Speaker 6: you're trying your best to be a good sport and
- 52:51Speaker 6: like shake hands and do that part, and then but
- 52:53Speaker 6: now you've got people running and bumping into you left
- 52:55Speaker 6: and right, Like, yeah, that's not going to bring out
- 52:57Speaker 6: the best most of the time in a human being.
- 53:00Speaker 1: One other game I wanted to get your opinion on,
- 53:03Speaker 1: do you think Dan Lanning just kind of kept a
- 53:06Speaker 1: gas down against Oklahoma State after their comments this past week.
- 53:10Speaker 6: One hundred percent that is exactly who Dan Lanning is. Like,
- 53:14Speaker 6: I love his postgame comments. He was like, listen, we
- 53:17Speaker 6: don't need extra ammunition to kick your arm, That's what
- 53:21Speaker 6: he said. But if you want to throw gas on
- 53:23Speaker 6: the fire, we're game. And he had him pissed, and
- 53:26Speaker 6: they scored. I watched the game again last night. I
- 53:28Speaker 6: was watching it before I went to bed, and like, literally,
- 53:31Speaker 6: I mean they scored twenty one before you getli they
- 53:33Speaker 6: scored fourteen in less than three minutes. I mean they
- 53:35Speaker 6: were just out the gate strong and then they ran
- 53:38Speaker 6: you know, reverse flea flicker when they're up by twenty
- 53:41Speaker 6: eight or thirty or in that spot. Like you know, listen,
- 53:45Speaker 6: you're looking for anything, You're looking for any edge, any
- 53:49Speaker 6: sign of disrespect. And so you know Van Gundy talking
- 53:52Speaker 6: about our Gundy, talking about the you know, the nil
- 53:56Speaker 6: and how they have so much money. I think what
- 53:58Speaker 6: Dan said in his head was like, okay, you know what,
- 54:01Speaker 6: I'm gonna beat you by a million dollars a point.
- 54:03Speaker 3: How about that?
- 54:04Speaker 6: Like I got this many million to spend on my team, Like, okay,
- 54:07Speaker 6: we beat you by fifty eight, so we spent.
- 54:10Speaker 4: We spent thirty so we still beat you by more
- 54:12Speaker 4: than enough.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Brother, Yeah, that was that was crazy in high school
- 54:16Speaker 1: for you? When did you become dominant? Ninth tenth grade?
- 54:18Speaker 1: When was it for you physically and mentally? That the
- 54:21Speaker 1: game was very easy?
- 54:22Speaker 4: So my so my freshman year was okay.
- 54:27Speaker 6: I was an offensive lineman, a little bit chubby, still
- 54:30Speaker 6: hadn't grown into my body. Actually, they asked me the
- 54:32Speaker 6: first day, like what position do you play? I was like,
- 54:34Speaker 6: you know, full back in the linebacker. They're like, not
- 54:36Speaker 6: with the six.
- 54:36Speaker 4: Flat forty, you play offensive line.
- 54:38Speaker 6: And then my second year I got a little bit better,
- 54:41Speaker 6: but I was stuck between JV and varsity and I
- 54:43Speaker 6: actually quit. I was like, bro, this sucks. Like football
- 54:46Speaker 6: is hard enough and not playing isn't cool. And then
- 54:49Speaker 6: between my sophomore and junior year, I grew six inches
- 54:51Speaker 6: and gain sixty pounds. And I don't know if you
- 54:53Speaker 6: know this, but like football is a lot more fun
- 54:55Speaker 6: when you're the hammer and not the nail, Like it
- 54:57Speaker 6: just makes a lot more sense. Obviously, my junior year
- 55:01Speaker 6: started to have success, started to get recruited a little bit.
- 55:04Speaker 6: But I'll never forget man. Before my senior year, my coach,
- 55:07Speaker 6: I had a brand new coach. He calls me into
- 55:08Speaker 6: his office and he's like, hey, man, and I had
- 55:11Speaker 6: offers from Georgia, Clemson, like Ohio State and company going
- 55:15Speaker 6: into my senior year. He was like, if we're going
- 55:17Speaker 6: to be a great team, I need you to be
- 55:19Speaker 6: the best player on the field every single play. And
- 55:21Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm your best player, like, you know, a
- 55:24Speaker 6: cocky punk at that age. And he put on like
- 55:27Speaker 6: six clips in a row of me kind of jogging
- 55:30Speaker 6: to the football and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 55:32Speaker 6: like he's not wrong, Like that's really that's lazy. And
- 55:35Speaker 6: I started practicing like an animal. I started flying around
- 55:38Speaker 6: and he helped me see something in myself that I
- 55:41Speaker 6: didn't see and it took away that blind spot and
- 55:44Speaker 6: showed me I needed to really really work and then
- 55:46Speaker 6: I became a really, really good football player.
- 55:49Speaker 4: You know, my senior year of high.
- 55:50Speaker 3: School, why Georgia, what was it?
- 55:52Speaker 6: This is the simplest answer you've asked yet. My baby doll,
- 55:55Speaker 6: Lindsey Pollock. That was that was that was their best.
- 55:58Speaker 6: That was the feather in the cap of Georgia. My
- 56:00Speaker 6: dad grew up My dad grew up up north. He
- 56:02Speaker 6: was a Giants fan. We didn't pay attention to much
- 56:04Speaker 6: college football. Moved down south when I was four, so
- 56:07Speaker 6: we watched NFL, not college. But when I started getting recruited,
- 56:10Speaker 6: I started seeing all the atmospheres. I was like, this
- 56:12Speaker 6: is dope. But my baby doll, Lindsay Pollock, my only girlfriend,
- 56:16Speaker 6: the only girlfriend I've ever.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Had now my wife.
- 56:18Speaker 6: Like, I drove to Gainesville, Florida with Steve Spurrier and
- 56:21Speaker 6: I was like, oh my gosh, that's forever away, you know,
- 56:24Speaker 6: from her. And so being fifty five minutes down the
- 56:28Speaker 6: road right there in Athens was like, yeah, that'll work.
- 56:31Speaker 1: You have your seaball get Ball signed behind you. So
- 56:33Speaker 1: and you do a couple of podcasts. But we're always
- 56:36Speaker 1: finding and recommend a good podcast to our listeners. So
- 56:38Speaker 1: what are we gonna hear on that podcast?
- 56:40Speaker 4: Man?
- 56:41Speaker 6: I love college football with everything in me and right
- 56:44Speaker 6: now with our season of life and my wife, like
- 56:46Speaker 6: a lot of people know, she got diagnosed with brain cancer,
- 56:49Speaker 6: and like, so your your priorities and your travel and
- 56:52Speaker 6: your schedule is a lot different. So like television absolutely
- 56:55Speaker 6: not going to be a thing, but like football is
- 56:57Speaker 6: so fantastic and so great, and that's literally what you're
- 57:00Speaker 6: gonna do. I have my buddy, that's my neighbor on
- 57:02Speaker 6: the podcast with me, who works for Pro Football Focus
- 57:04Speaker 6: and has all the numbers.
- 57:06Speaker 4: But like we come to you, you know, four days
- 57:08Speaker 4: a week and.
- 57:08Speaker 6: Just talk football, unbiased, strong opinions that are not like
- 57:12Speaker 6: everybody else's. We're gonna watch a lot of tape and
- 57:15Speaker 6: just I mean, it's football, it's college football. It's the
- 57:17Speaker 6: best there is and so just having that and being
- 57:20Speaker 6: able to follow it and talk about it is something
- 57:23Speaker 6: that I enjoy and I just can't imagine life without it.
- 57:26Speaker 6: And that's what you'll get several days a week on
- 57:28Speaker 6: YouTube and on all the platforms for podcasts.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You guys, check it out Seaball Getball with David Pollock. Hey,
- 57:34Speaker 1: big fan. Hated you at Georgia when you played us,

- 57:43Speaker 1: So thank you for the time. Man, really appreciate it
- 57:45Speaker 1: and hope the podcast is killing it.

- 59:33Speaker 1: So before all the games happen on Friday night, Saturday
- 59:38Speaker 1: and Sunday, I want to make sure we capture the
- 59:40Speaker 1: moment for the Thursday night game. So we recorded this
- 59:43Speaker 1: after the Thursday night game, and so Eddie, dude, how
- 59:47Speaker 1: about them cowboys?
- 59:48Speaker 3: How about them cowboys? Like we had a game? Why
- 59:51Speaker 3: do celm? Why can he catch? I don't remember this,
- 59:54Speaker 3: of course I remember it. I remember him doing this
- 59:58Speaker 3: last year too. At the beginning of the season. We're like,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: what's he doing? Like he's dropping these easy passes that
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: that hurt. Like I didn't go into this game thinking
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: that we were gonna win it, so it helped that
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: it was just a four point game. But at the
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: end of that game, I really thought that we could
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: win that game.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: You could have won the game had made that first catch.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: The second was a little harder. But you're an NFL player.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: You can't make that catch.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: That's what I said Fallins where it's like oddsign, I wouldn't.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: He's just a nice guy. He's just a nice guy, bro.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: He's got to catch that. Yeah, you gotta make that catch.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: You really got to make that. I mean, actually he
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: dropped three balls basically. That second one, though, was a
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: game change. You're in a flip to field, they'd have
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: been inside the thirty yard line.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Is that the one that hit his helmet? I mean
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: there was one one that he was running like a post. Okay,
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: that's not it. There was another one where it went
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: right through his hands, hit his helmet, almost pitched.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Oh, that was another one. That was that first one.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: The last one was tough though, right the diving one,
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: it's like, yeah, okay.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: But the other two for sure again you're but the
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: other two like for sure, yes.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: But even the third one like that, it's also the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: play you have to make. You have to make that
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: place for it. Fourth down. Yeah, it was like fourth
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: and two or three and he throws that. So let's
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: go back to the beginning of the.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: Game, which was awesome. I mean, that's the way to
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: start a game, have Dalen Carter spit on your quarterback
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: and get ejected. Dude, when that happens. When that happened
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: and they say he's out of the game, I'm like,
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: oh my gosh, that is the best birthday gifts we've
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: ever gotten. Yeah.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: It was crazy because and Kevin wasn't even watching. We
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: were on a text. Started Kevin like, wait what happened?
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: And I said, I said, first of the Jaalen hurts,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I meant Jayleen Carter, I said, Jalen hurts a spin
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: on Dak and he's out of the game, which which
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: is a lot crazier, a lot crazier. The two quarterbacks
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: are fighting, Yes, but then I was like sorry, Jayleen Carter,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: And even then you were like, wait, what that's crazy.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: How do you feel about the tape now of Dak spitting?
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: First, dude, Dak is spitting on the ground, which is like, okay,
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: it's a little motion towards like yeah, screw you, but
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: it's not spitting your face. Like Dalen Carter walks right
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: up and goes uh oh boom right on your jersey.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a Cowboys fan, so you do have bias now, bously,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I agree with you. Yeah, it's not the same.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: No, not at all.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: If Jalen Carter wanted to, didn't you spit back on
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the ground near his feet? If you really, you don't
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: walk Yeah, I.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Hear you, big. You don't walk up.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: You're the only green jersey walking up to the entire pile.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: And it was a loog a big one yes and
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: whistle flag out. I didn't know that was automatic ejection
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: me neither.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Crazy.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: And they were calling other like tawning a lot of
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: times in the NFL too early in the season. They
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: really set the precedent for what they're going to focus
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: on all year to give everybody an idea, and they
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: go a little overboard pretty much every year at something
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: to go, We're not taking this bull crap. So it's
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: sometimes past interference. Sometimes it's you know, uh, what do
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: they call officially? Was it as no, no, no, no,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: this flyder?
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Oh gosh, what's it called?
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: Not a personal foul?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: It was a person a foul, but it was whatever
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: it was. They want to make sure that people aren't
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: acting a fool.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean, as of this moment, we don't
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: know if he's going to be like suspended for a
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: game or they could just just too Yeah, but they
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: I wouldn't be surprised if they completely be like, oh,
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: you's got one more game just to be like, you
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: know what, guys were not.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: I think it's too much. That's too much. It is
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: a loogi. He lost this whole game.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: This was the This was the true It was a
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: whole game.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: He didn't play once. Yeah, just just losing this game
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: before it even starts or not being able to play is.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Bad, pretty bad. And it was just points points points.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: It was like seven on seven. They couldn't stop either side.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: It was like a rocky fight, you know, boom boom,
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: back and forth. The one drive where we couldn't score
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: the touchdown, we settled for three. That's kind of like
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: what put us this first half.
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: Yeah, and the fumble Miles Sanders.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Oh at the end right before, right before though, that
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: was brutal. That was brutal. And again you were close.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: You were like in the inside the thirty maybe the twenty.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Yeah, you guys are right there. Big play. He just
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: had that big play and then that happens.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: Like, so after game one, what do you think, very please,
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: really very played awesome by Jack Preston.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: It's live me in the moment now. But that was
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: like the best game of and its stats were whatever,
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: but he just looked awesome.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Great. I'm a little concerned about our defense. Obviously, we're
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: playing the Eagles amazing run game, Like you got a
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: quarterback that's pretty much a running back, Like it's hard
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: to stop that. But there were somewhere like it was
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: trying to catch a weasel, like they just couldn't make tackles.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: A little concern about.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: The especially the first half, because they were not trying
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to get to Jalen Hurts right, and they would try
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: lightly and they wouldn't. Jalen Hurts is really really, really good. Really,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the fact that people are like he's just a game
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: manager is insane.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think our secondary did great. There weren't
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: any looks. They never Jalen Hurts never really threw the ball.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: I mean maybe through the ball a handful of times,
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: but that says really good things about secondary.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: You're right because a lot of his running was whenever.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: The coverage is really good, and both of the touchdowns
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: where everybody was covered up and he had to run
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: and there was another long run.
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like they could have used like a
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: spy like especially that forced down.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Well, just in general. Even Collins was like, they're gonna
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: spy him here. It was like the Eagles was like
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: fourth down to in the game and jald Hurts end
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: up running for six yards and get the first down.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: They were like they should spy him, and then they didn't,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and it's just wide it was just wide open and
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: came over. Mike, you're a Cowboys fan.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Your thoughts.
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: First time I've really seen it look like a team
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: like dak even on the sideline, like pumping everybody up.
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: It just felt like he was really commanding.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: His mustache, like pretty cool. It did. Man good, he's bigger.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: He's bigger too. They had a shot of him in
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: the locker room before without a shirt. I'm like, dang, dude,
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: I didn't see that has been where'd you find that at?
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: I don't know they shout it on TV. I didn't know.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I make it so you could like puck at it.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: And his arms, his arms looked big. Dude, just spit
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: on it. Stop. Yeah.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: The Cowboys look pretty good. Yeah, Dak looked really good.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: They didn't really throw at George Pickens much.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: They did.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: They threw at Ceedeelamba a lot, and he had a
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: great game. But man drops it completely changed the game.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: They probably win that game if he makes that second
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: catch they dropped.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the third.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: If he makes that third catch, the game continues. But
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: ballz to also go, you know on a streak fourth
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: and three. Yeah, because it was there and it was
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: a good throw.
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: It was good. Yeah.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: And I love a running game too. I didn't know
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: what to think of Williams, but man, we got a
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: running back hopefully.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I mean he he is coming off an injury.
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: How about our boy Cooper bebe bb Man. They were
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: giving him a lot of love last night.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so your official Dallas Cowboys thought. This is Friday morning,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: we're recording this is I.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: Love what I saw and I'm so excited now. I
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: feel like we're a contender in the NFC East, which
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: is crazy. I haven't seen the Commanders yet, but I
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: feel like we're a contender.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Even though their best player was out of the game.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: You still feel good about that. Yeah, it does make
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: you feel a little more hesitant on saying working tender.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: No, no, dude, I loved what I saw from Dak Prescott.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: The offense just looked dynamic. Turpin, the smallest guy in
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: the NFL. Yeah, they were.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: They were getting him the ball in places. Also, they
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: weren't kicking in the ball. Yeah, Like when they punted
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: the ball, they weren't give him a chance.
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: That's amazing to me, just the Turpin has survived in

- 1:08:24Speaker 3: What did you guys think though, Like, what what did
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: you think?
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: As far as like I just had bet the Cowboys

- 1:08:33Speaker 1: up to this point right now, I'm hot, So I
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: was like, hope they jumped in because I'm probably can

- 1:09:06Speaker 3: He's not a heater.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Okay, right now, it's hot, I agree, and it's probably
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: gonna get cold real soon.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: I mean, that's the trend. Really.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I don't want to mess up the
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: heater is what it is. You won't mess up the heater.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I do have college football's best rivalry nicknames. These are
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: rivalry games. Which way do you want to do it?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Because I can give you. I'll tell you what the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: name is.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: You tell me the two teams in it. Okay.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: For example, man, there's a lot of good ones. Okay,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: this is the easiest one. Probably this is gonna be
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: hard for Medlam.
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: Bedlam home in Oklahoma State.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Yeah, now we were playing against each other, we weren't
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: playing together. Oh but yes, I was going to guess
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: Oklahoma Oklahoma State. Oh you aren't, you aren't. What is Bedlam?
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: It's the it's the game okay of Oklahoma Oklahoma State.

- 1:09:58Speaker 5: heard it? I just figured, oh Bedlam Coahoma. Oh really
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: that's how it hit me. Yeah, that's why I thought
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: about it.

- 1:10:08Speaker 3: you guys do?
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Okay, and we gotta say her name is first.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: No, just write it down.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: I think Kevin, I think you're gonna kill him. Oh,
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: I'm sure of it. Catholics versus convicts? What I'm in
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: necessary roughness? Catholics versus convicts? Got it? Eddie Notre Dame

- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Why why is it the Iron Bowl? Do you watch sports? Yeah? Ud,
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: I guess I'm not catching all these names that they
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: call these. It's not new. The iron Ball is like
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: one of the Vegas. Why why the why? Alabama Auburn Iron?
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Don't know why it's called the Iron Bowl. I'm never
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: sure you could get that one. The egg Bowl, boy,

- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Oh cool, that's cool.
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: That's better than that industry.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: You know, I'm figuring out the context clues doesn't really
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: work in this game.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Well, it's not so much abu context, it's just have
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you watched sports, say a bunch because again, I don't know.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I didn't know why it was called the egg ball.

- 1:14:00Speaker 3: you used to be called the rudder for shootout. Yeah,
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: that doesn't where I can do that one. But that
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: is Yeah, we're not doing that one. I heard someone though,
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: one of the commentators, and me like, I don't care.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: I'm gonna call it the shoot anyway. Because I called
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: the shoot.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, dude, Oh you're so brave commentator.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Whatever. Man, the Border war, that's gonna be South Texas.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: This one was played this past weekend as a hint, uh,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: this past weekend is the It hasn't happened yet for
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: us because we recorded this on Friday after the Cowboys game,

- 1:15:11Speaker 3: go down to South Texas l Pas. You're thinking like
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Mexico and America. Yeah, like the wall border.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Dude, there is a border war down there, Yeah, for sure,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: but not it.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: It is Kansas, Missouri.

- 1:15:55Speaker 1: know it. Oh, I've never heard of that, Kevin.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I'm gonna guess Iowa, Iowa state.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: It happened already. It was Iowa state, Kansas state. It
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: was in this year. It was in Ireland where there
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: are no farms. Well, no, no, they played that one
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: in Dublin. But Farmageddon happens every year. It's never been

- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Did they call it Farmageddon?
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Yes, in Dublin they did because that's the name of

- 1:16:55Speaker 1: There are many civil wars. It's like Capital C Civil War.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I no, man, but one guy was calling the rhetor
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: of a rider with the shootout because I believe it
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Paul Bunyan's acts.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: Oh, hold on, Steven f Austin, Get a boy, Get

- 1:17:35Speaker 1: The Butt Bowl, What the heck? I know we would
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: definitely know that if we heard it.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: The Butt Bowl.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: It's Baylor, Texas Tech. Oh, never heard of that Battle
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: for the Bones.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Bobby Bull.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: I know that's Arkansas versus Arkansas States.
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: It is not.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: That's Arkansas versus the Carolina Panthers. It's because it's barb

- 1:19:36Speaker 5: haven't played anybody.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: It's fun to like have a little excitement for no
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: reason because we had no excitement going into the season
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: and we thought we'd win those first two games, so
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: there's not real reason to have excitement now.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: But but there is. We're like, oh, we.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Might be able to do this, even though we expected
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: to win those first two games. We're like, huh, we
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: might have a little something.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: I think we had.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: So I don't know if I'm gonna go down to Oxford
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: or not.
