- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magic, 94.9.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to a new episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 2: We have a ton to be able to celebrate.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Finally! Been waiting for this moment in the studio. So
- 0:12Speaker 3: let's welcome in.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Our guest, our midday gal, your bestie, Alexia! Hello, hello!
- 0:17Speaker 4: Happy... Tuesday, Monday, I don't even know what day of
- 0:19Speaker 4: the week it is. It's Tuesday, but it'll be posted tomorrow,
- 0:22Speaker 4: so it's Wednesday.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Well, first off, we have to have a major congratulations,
- 0:27Speaker 2: because I know this podcast is listened to literally all
- 0:30Speaker 2: over the world at this point, but our girl Alexia
- 0:33Speaker 2: just won one of the biggest awards in the Tampa
- 0:35Speaker 2: Bay area as Best Influencer.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So first off, congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. You guys
- 0:41Speaker 1: are so sweet. I've felt all the love and the
- 0:43Speaker 1: warmness and the good vibes. Thank you. these past few days.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Thank you so much. How are those flowers doing?
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yesterday during our meeting, Alexia got gifted A wedding centerpiece.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Literally. Oh, bigger, yeah. What flowers were those, by the way?
- 0:55Speaker 1: It was probably more than my paycheck for that flower arrangement.
- 0:58Speaker 1: They smelled so good. It was like white roses, lilies, hydrangeas. No,
- 1:02Speaker 1: not hydrangeas, but like these really cool fluffy looking flowers
- 1:05Speaker 1: that you see in the forest. So I separated it
- 1:07Speaker 1: into like three arrangements around the house because it was
- 1:09Speaker 1: so massive. Dang, girl. Shout out to Mel for getting
- 1:12Speaker 1: that bouquet.
- 1:13Speaker 2: It's cool to see, you know, obviously it's like the sayings,
- 1:16Speaker 2: like you get your flowers, but- I remember so many
- 1:20Speaker 2: years of being in this building and it's like, There
- 1:22Speaker 2: was only a few names that ever got, like, recognized.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So you could do extraordinary things, and, like, nothing would
- 1:29Speaker 2: be mentioned of it. And I'm glad that, like, our
- 1:31Speaker 2: team is being recognized for the things that are happening.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Outside of the studio alone.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Because, girl, you work your ass off. Thank you.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Like, you are always at an event, Gabby.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you never miss an outgoing adventure, except none of
- 1:44Speaker 4: you motherfuckers came to the group happy hour yesterday.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Oh. Oh.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Had a feeling I was going to get brought up.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was literally cuddling with my dog and looked at
- 1:54Speaker 1: the clock. I was like, oh, they're at happy hour
- 1:55Speaker 1: right now. Love that you got a new puppy. But
- 1:57Speaker 1: let's chat about that.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Me alone at Noble Crust yesterday representing our station.
- 2:03Speaker 1: How was that? It was so fun. I really like
- 2:06Speaker 1: that Noble Crust. You should be on the fun committee, Abby.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You would have known had you been there. Yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I did want to go. I had intentions to go
- 2:13Speaker 3: the week before.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 2: And then as it crept up, I literally told you
- 2:17Speaker 2: on the podcast, I was like, as soon as somebody
- 2:18Speaker 2: says like a spur of the moment, like we should
- 2:20Speaker 2: go do this.
- 2:20Speaker 1: My brain, I don't know.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It like spazzes out because I think I'm going to
- 2:23Speaker 2: miss something. I'm not going to have rest for something.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And yesterday I was coming back from like a segment
- 2:27Speaker 2: I do on Fox 13. I was like, there ain't
- 2:29Speaker 2: no way I'm going to go home, get a workout in,
- 2:32Speaker 2: get these emails sent out and then make it back
- 2:34Speaker 2: to Tampa. And I feel stupid complaining about the drive
- 2:37Speaker 2: from where I live to come to a noble crust
- 2:39Speaker 2: that's in St. Pete.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Where you live. Where I live.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And then I recognize that you literally drove over the bridge.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I was the first one there at 4.01. I
- 2:46Speaker 4: was sitting at the bar. I was like, where the
- 2:47Speaker 4: hell is everybody? And finally, the whole fun committee comes in.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And I was like, where have you guys been? They're like,
- 2:52Speaker 1: it's 4.05. I'm like, but still. It said at 4.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It said at 4. So I showed up at 4.
- 2:58Speaker 1: The worst part is I'm part of the fun committee. Wait, what?
- 3:00Speaker 2: You are?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been very.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Bad at it. They meet during my day. my midday show.
- 3:06Speaker 1: So I like added, I asked to be part of
- 3:08Speaker 1: it and I've not been part of one meeting or
- 3:09Speaker 1: done one single thing.
- 3:10Speaker 3: We should all commit to be on it.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That's not very fun of them to not include you. Well,
- 3:14Speaker 1: it's me. I'm the one who's being an asshole and
- 3:16Speaker 1: not partaking. Oh, but it's during your show. I know. Well, yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 1: that too. I guess you could track ahead. That's kind
- 3:23Speaker 1: of on you. I know. It's fully on me. Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 4: But why can't you convey to them that nobody wants
- 3:28Speaker 4: to go to a happy hour.
- 3:29Speaker 1: On a Monday? Even on a Tuesday.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I would have been more likely on a Tuesday
- 3:34Speaker 3: because I would have had Monday to warm up.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Monday to be like, oh, that's happening. Because it's like Monday.
- 3:38Speaker 4: It's like everybody's coming back from the weekend. I had
- 3:40Speaker 4: been drinking all weekend.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I don't want one more day where I'm drinking. And
- 3:43Speaker 1: then we're going into a long weekend. And then we're
- 3:45Speaker 1: going into a long weekend, too. Where you're literally going
- 3:48Speaker 1: to the land of Aperol Spritz and they expect you
- 3:50Speaker 1: to have an Aperol Spritz at Noble Crust. Like, how
- 3:52Speaker 1: do you? You deserve an award. You showed up, though. Yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 1: because listen, your girl's trying to schmooze and it was
- 3:57Speaker 1: worth it. Was it really? I got company secrets. You'll
- 4:00Speaker 1: never know. No, you got to share them on the podcast.
- 4:02Speaker 3: At least share some of the things that got said.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You were pre-gaming Italy.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm pre-gaming Italy one week in advance. Yeah, and
- 4:09Speaker 4: I also, side note, had the most delicious glass of
- 4:11Speaker 4: rosé there. Here's the thing about Noble Crust, and I
- 4:13Speaker 4: feel comfortable talking about this because they do pay the station.
- 4:16Speaker 4: They're not paying us, but they pay the station. So
- 4:18Speaker 4: I'm fine pushing this.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And they won a bestie shout out. Oh, they did?
- 4:20Speaker 1: They were sitting right next to me, and Brad was there,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and they won a bestie.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I was telling the girls at Trampamay Getaway because I
- 4:26Speaker 4: brought them to Noble Tavern, which is the sister restaurant
- 4:30Speaker 4: on Central, which is beautiful, by the way.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's brand freaking new. It's very different.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I always show up to that place thinking it's going
- 4:35Speaker 4: to be just like an eh sports bar. Like I
- 4:38Speaker 4: fully go in with like the lowest of low expectations,
- 4:40Speaker 4: despite the fact that I've been there like seven times. Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And every single time I go, this place is delicious. Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's great. The drinks are always good.
- 4:49Speaker 4: The Aperol Spritz that you get at Noble Crust is
- 4:51Speaker 4: literally the world's largest Aperol Spritz.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's a normal size Aperol Spritz, but it's massive. And
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's good. Yeah. Yeah, they do a good job. It's
- 4:58Speaker 1: a pleasant surprise. That Noble Tavern's really cool because it's
- 5:00Speaker 1: so different from the Noble Crust location. It has big.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Windows open up to Central, which is great. And Central,
- 5:06Speaker 4: if you've never been to downtown St. Pete, is sort
- 5:08Speaker 4: of the main drag area. So people on a beautiful
- 5:10Speaker 4: Saturday or Sunday will be walking around. They'll have the
- 5:12Speaker 4: games on. People are sitting at the bar and.
- 5:14Speaker 1: The food is great.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Honestly, that is one of the underrated places in St.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Pete and Tampa.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I would say it's like you get all these
- 5:21Speaker 2: big name places that are expensive, but also I will
- 5:23Speaker 2: say like Noble Crust, very reasonably priced. Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 3: This feels like a gigantic ad for Noble Crust.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's not. No, it really is.
- 5:29Speaker 4: But I say this every single time and I'm trying
- 5:31Speaker 4: to find the rosé that I had.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was like La Jolie Fleur.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Nailed it.
- 5:36Speaker 4: It's a $ 10 bottle of wine that I can't find
- 5:39Speaker 4: in Tampa unless it's at Noble Crust. They didn't have
- 5:43Speaker 4: a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, which is my go-to wine.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Because you like champagne. But I like a New
- 5:48Speaker 1: Zealand Savvy Beach. Yes. And you like, what do you drink?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Now I do a lot of Sauvignon Blanc.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You do Sauvignon Blanc.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't do red anymore.
- 5:53Speaker 4: But I won't drink Sauvignon Blanc unless it's from New Zealand.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You won't do like a Kim Crawford? She's from New Zealand?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Kim Crawford is from New Zealand. It's from New Zealand. Also,
- 6:01Speaker 1: did you know that Kim Crawford's a man?
- 6:02Speaker 3: What?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Did you know that Kim Crawford is a man? That's
- 6:05Speaker 1: wildly disappointing.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy?
- 6:06Speaker 1: Also, this is the bottle. Yes, La Jolie Fleur. I
- 6:08Speaker 1: think I've seen it before.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I think they have it at a liquor store in Brandon.
- 6:13Speaker 4: So that's like 45 minutes out.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You can get it on DoorDash. I can get it
- 6:17Speaker 1: on DoorDash? Oh, my God. DoorDash, a $ 10 bottle of wine.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Total wine. So anyway, I had to pivot to rosé,
- 6:24Speaker 4: which is very out of character for me. I never
- 6:27Speaker 4: do a rosé. But if a rosé is from Provence,
- 6:30Speaker 4: I will take a chance on it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And it was delightful.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So if you're at your local liquor store and you
- 6:34Speaker 4: need a good rosé to end the summer.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That gets my stage approval. What's your favorite New Zealand then,
- 6:39Speaker 1: Sauvignon Blanc? I don't have a favorite.
- 6:42Speaker 3: It just needs to be.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it does taste different if you get it from California.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Do you want to know what's so funny?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Is the last Sauvignon Blanc that I remember having that
- 6:49Speaker 4: was fantastic was at my cousin's wedding.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But the thing is, when you're at a wedding, they
- 6:53Speaker 1: don't have.
- 6:54Speaker 4: like the the wines for you to be like oh
- 6:57Speaker 4: that one from blah blah blah because normally i would
- 6:58Speaker 4: have taken a photo and moved on with life yes
- 7:00Speaker 4: i have been talking to my cousin for two years
- 7:02Speaker 4: i'm like can you find what sauvignon blanc that was
- 7:05Speaker 4: because it was so good i think it starts with
- 7:07Speaker 4: an n i think it was like noel or something.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Nabal nabal nabal i will you know nabal okay no
- 7:13Speaker 2: that's legit one no balls.
- 7:15Speaker 1: No balls not the no balls okay We had.
- 7:19Speaker 3: It like recently. I think it was, it's something like that.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Like no ball, no ball.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I love us. For sure. And, uh, for beachy has
- 7:26Speaker 1: a really good Rose on their happy hour.
- 7:27Speaker 4: So I'm going to four beachy allegedly on Thursday on
- 7:30Speaker 4: a date.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Oh, I was going to say, should we go tomorrow?
- 7:33Speaker 4: But, Oh, so here's the thing. Should I, I've, am
- 7:36Speaker 4: I being a control freak? Because last time I got
- 7:38Speaker 4: asked out on a date to four beachy, it was
- 7:40Speaker 4: around 7.
- 7:41Speaker 1: PM for, or maybe it was like 6. PM. I
- 7:43Speaker 1: got asked off to four beachy and Hyde park for
- 7:46Speaker 1: a first date.
- 7:46Speaker 4: And we got up, to forbici and there was no
- 7:49Speaker 4: room there because it's really really popular forbici is incredibly
- 7:52Speaker 4: popular on that time oh yeah so this guy asked
- 7:54Speaker 4: me to go to forbici to sit at the bar
- 7:55Speaker 4: at seven and i texted him back and i said
- 7:58Speaker 4: sounds good to me um i don't think we're gonna
- 8:01Speaker 4: get a seat though like am i being too much
- 8:04Speaker 4: of a control freak or should i just go with
- 8:05Speaker 4: it i.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Think you should happy hour ends at six okay so
- 8:08Speaker 1: either i noticed when i went i got there I
- 8:11Speaker 1: think I got there at like 5.30 or 6. And
- 8:14Speaker 1: when I got there, there was room at the bar.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And then they also have that like table, but that
- 8:18Speaker 1: would be awkward for a date. It's so true. Like
- 8:20Speaker 1: that tall table that looks at the stage. Have you
- 8:21Speaker 1: been in there? I have been in.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Me and my mom bopped into 4BG on Thursday and
- 8:25Speaker 4: we couldn't get a seat.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And we went around. 7.30. So I was like, ooh.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I went on a Tuesday.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That was probably why.
- 8:31Speaker 1: And it was still like popping for a Tuesday.
- 8:32Speaker 4: That's what I'm trying to say is for Beachy's an
- 8:34Speaker 4: incredibly popular It's bringing.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That weekday happy hour vibe back to St. Pete that
- 8:38Speaker 1: we so desperately needed that typically I would go to
- 8:41Speaker 1: Cassis for but Cassis Lee is like older. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So I like that for Beachy, you see, like, these young, like,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Tampa-looking people that are, like, hot and have, like, cool
- 8:51Speaker 1: clothes and purses and make me feel so uncool. I'm like, oh.
- 8:55Speaker 2: That's literally why I can't go to some places because
- 8:57Speaker 2: I'm like, I literally just can't dress like y'all. Like,
- 8:59Speaker 2: there's a fashion statement with certain people in, like, Tampa
- 9:01Speaker 2: where I'm like, damn, where do you even get the
- 9:03Speaker 2: idea to dress like that or where do you shop?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't have a Goyard bag. I'm so sorry.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think it's a good test, though, for the guy
- 9:10Speaker 2: that if you go out, he set the plan, you
- 9:12Speaker 2: want him to set the plan, keep it, and it
- 9:15Speaker 2: won't give you the ick or anything, but it would
- 9:17Speaker 2: be a good way to see how he reacts to
- 9:18Speaker 2: something like that.
- 9:19Speaker 4: And I agree with that because the last guy I
- 9:21Speaker 4: went out with, who asked me to go to Forbici.
- 9:24Speaker 4: This would have been a couple months ago. He did Forbici,
- 9:26Speaker 4: and I always have the plan to show up five
- 9:28Speaker 4: minutes late.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Like, that's my thing.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I want them to get there, find a place to sit,
- 9:31Speaker 4: so I can just show up and be like, hello,
- 9:32Speaker 4: I'm perfect.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I'm here. I'm the queen.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Nothing worse than that, like, scuffle of like, oh, hi, okay,
- 9:37Speaker 1: where do we sit? Oh, okay, like... Oh, horrible. The
- 9:40Speaker 1: scuffle is the worst. So smart. Because the first couple
- 9:42Speaker 1: minutes of a date are awkward anyways. Yeah.
- 9:44Speaker 4: And so it'll be better if he sits down, he
- 9:46Speaker 4: finds the seat, he gets a drink, he can order
- 9:48Speaker 4: me something.
- 9:48Speaker 1: If he orders you a drink, plus 10 points. So
- 9:50Speaker 1: then I don't even have to do like the song
- 9:51Speaker 1: and dance of like, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop. Like,
- 9:53Speaker 1: do I pay?
- 9:54Speaker 4: Do you pay?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like, you've ordered me a drink. He got apps too.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 9:57Speaker 4: He orders something like truffle fries or something. See, it's
- 10:00Speaker 4: a really great way to show a girl that you're
- 10:02Speaker 4: like competent. So a couple months ago, a guy asked
- 10:04Speaker 4: me out to go to Forbici. This would have been
- 10:06Speaker 4: like a Friday. And I show up or I'm walking
- 10:09Speaker 4: there and he's like, hey, it was way too crowded.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm pivoting us to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, to boozy.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And he's like, I've got us a seat. Let me
- 10:15Speaker 1: know what you want to drink. And then I just
- 10:17Speaker 1: sent him what I wanted.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Then he had it ready.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And, well, I told him I wanted a Sauvignon.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Okay, so I sent him a text and I said.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I said, listen, this is going to sound incredibly pretentious,
- 10:27Speaker 4: but ask if they have a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 10:31Speaker 4: And I said, if they don't have the Sauvignon Blanc
- 10:33Speaker 4: from New Zealand, just get me whatever their most, whatever
- 10:36Speaker 4: the cheapest white is on the menu.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I'm the same way. And he, there wasn't a New
- 10:41Speaker 1: Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at Boozy. No.
- 10:43Speaker 4: So he was like, I'm just going to let you
- 10:45Speaker 4: pick when you get here.
- 10:46Speaker 2: No.
- 10:48Speaker 3: So it's fine.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And then I also paid for myself.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 10:51Speaker 1: We're not seeing him again. He was cool though. No, no, no.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I mean, this was months ago. Like, yeah, he's gone.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 10:56Speaker 2: There's so, we, there's a whole discussion. We put up a,
- 10:59Speaker 2: one of our clips on the show and it had
- 11:00Speaker 2: to deal with like men paying for dates and I
- 11:03Speaker 2: will stick by this. And then years ago I did not,
- 11:06Speaker 2: I was kind of like, Oh, it should be 50, 50.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I take that way back. I say the guy should
- 11:09Speaker 2: always take like the paycheck and pay. And I got
- 11:13Speaker 2: ripped apart on the Instagram for how.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Dare you, these gender roles, what, women can't pay for
- 11:18Speaker 1: their own things?
- 11:20Speaker 3: That's not what I'm saying. I think women absolutely could pay.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And I think it's a way of showing that you, one,
- 11:27Speaker 3: took the initiative.
- 11:28Speaker 2: And you respect your date enough that if you're the
- 11:30Speaker 2: one that set the date, you should pay for the date.
- 11:33Speaker 4: But it just goes to show no matter what you
- 11:34Speaker 4: post on the Internet, somebody will find some angle to
- 11:38Speaker 4: point a finger at you. Because I posted pretty much
- 11:41Speaker 4: the same thing on my TikTok, knowing as someone who's
- 11:44Speaker 4: an Internet person, when you say something like, I can't
- 11:46Speaker 4: believe every single date except for like one. date that
- 11:49Speaker 4: i've been on in tampa i've had to pay my
- 11:51Speaker 4: tab there will be some kind of person in the
- 11:53Speaker 4: comments being like you go digger of course well or
- 11:55Speaker 4: some kind of angle of like well um this is
- 11:58Speaker 4: what you want equality right or oh he just must
- 12:01Speaker 4: not have been into you or like i mean just
- 12:03Speaker 4: like any of these things just to point the finger
- 12:05Speaker 4: i'm like oh my god the internet's so angry for
- 12:07Speaker 4: no reason.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Oh it's ridiculous oh yeah with my word thing i
- 12:10Speaker 1: posted i got so much hate on tiktok specifically someone
- 12:12Speaker 1: yeah i never heard of her yeah she bought that
- 12:14Speaker 1: award and i'm literally like why are you on my
- 12:17Speaker 1: page like get out of here But regressing back to
- 12:20Speaker 1: the paid, the gender roles and everything, it's like, well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: women are still carrying babies and pregnancy. That's a gender role, right?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Spending $ 300 on your hair.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Literally.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And your eyebrows.
- 12:29Speaker 4: I drove an hour and a half to get my
- 12:31Speaker 4: eyebrows done in Zephyr Hills this weekend.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I'm going tomorrow to get an eyebrow thing. But I
- 12:36Speaker 1: will say, like, I'm married and Mike and I split
- 12:39Speaker 1: our mortgage. We split our mortgage. He makes more than
- 12:45Speaker 1: I do, so he takes more of the monthly bills.
- 12:48Speaker 1: But I pay my car. He's never once paid my car.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I pay my car insurance. I'm still on my parents'
- 12:53Speaker 1: phone bill.
- 12:54Speaker 3: That's freaking awesome.
- 12:55Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 12:58Speaker 1: What? Because I think... That's a millennial thing. For sure,
- 12:59Speaker 1: because I think... We're all grandfathered into AT & T plans.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That's what I mean.
- 13:04Speaker 4: My parents are like, it's like $ 5 for you to
- 13:06Speaker 4: be on our plan. Like, we're not going to add some.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Ruining your life. Having to restart a whole new plan.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:11Speaker 1: They're like, it's fine.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Literally, my dad kicked me off immediately. He was like,
- 13:14Speaker 3: all right, you and your brother.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Figure it out. I was like, what? You don't want
- 13:16Speaker 1: to just save... No? Okay, cool. Yeah, but you're a boy.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I'm a boy.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I got to pay my own bills. When you went
- 13:22Speaker 2: on your first date with your husband... I mean, many
- 13:24Speaker 2: years ago.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Actually, I remember it perfectly.
- 13:27Speaker 3: He paid the date and he paid for the date?
- 13:29Speaker 1: Well, we just boned. So we literally met like one
- 13:33Speaker 1: in the morning. I brought a six pack of Bud
- 13:35Speaker 1: Light and chocolate covered pretzels. So technically you did pay
- 13:38Speaker 1: for the date.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I did.
- 13:40Speaker 1: He did give me... and then you had sex with
- 13:43Speaker 1: him yes i'm very like independent you know i wanted
- 13:46Speaker 1: to show him like i'm bringing the goods here baby
- 13:49Speaker 1: i like that though like just supplying the goods.
- 13:51Speaker 4: And look it paid off it was an investment well
- 13:52Speaker 4: spent for real but that's the other thing is i
- 13:54Speaker 4: had some girl stitch my video where i was like
- 13:57Speaker 4: yeah i can't believe all these guys are not making
- 13:58Speaker 4: me pay but like i'm offering and they're not putting
- 14:00Speaker 4: up a fight some girl was like oh you're such
- 14:02Speaker 4: a pick me like you're you're allowing these guys to
- 14:04Speaker 4: let you pay i'm like Because I'm being fucking considerate.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 4: I'm like, I was raised to be a fucking considerate
- 14:11Speaker 4: human that if this guy doesn't even like me that much,
- 14:13Speaker 4: it's fine if I can just pay for my own drink.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It's not that you can't.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I'm just disappointed in the men. Like, as somebody that
- 14:18Speaker 2: wants to lead and take initiative, like, that feels good. Like,
- 14:21Speaker 2: I don't even, forget y'all's bills. Like, I'm glad you
- 14:23Speaker 2: have money to.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Pay your bills. It feels good to pay.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, it literally does.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Where every time, it's like, I have a discussion now
- 14:29Speaker 2: with Brianda. Like, she has to tell me, like, I
- 14:31Speaker 2: got this one.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I got this one. Because it's literally a charge in
- 14:34Speaker 3: me that's.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Like, no, I want to pay. I can be dirt
- 14:36Speaker 1: poor and not afford anything. And I'm like, I still
- 14:38Speaker 1: want to pay. Here's a rock. He's $ 50, 000.
- 14:39Speaker 4: In credit card debt because he wants to show off
- 14:42Speaker 4: for his lady. I do.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I just like that feeling. Let's speak to you.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I think that's a really- I would just hope more guys.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I know that's in them. It just blows my mind
- 14:48Speaker 2: that not more of them are like, no, I got this.
- 14:51Speaker 3: No, I got this.
- 14:52Speaker 2: No, don't worry.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It's on me.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I will say growing up in Miami and having dated,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I mean, I haven't dated in eons, but when I
- 14:58Speaker 1: was dating in Miami- Girl, I would go on dates
- 15:01Speaker 1: just for a steak dinner. Mind you, I would go.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I would say yes to a date just with a
- 15:06Speaker 1: man I knew I did not like just so that
- 15:07Speaker 1: I could get wine and dined at a high end
- 15:09Speaker 1: restaurant in Miami. And then I'd say, peace out.
- 15:11Speaker 4: What's the most expensive date you got taken out on? Or,
- 15:15Speaker 4: you know, doesn't have to necessarily, but give me a
- 15:17Speaker 4: bougie date that you got taken out on.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Oh God, it's been so long ago, but I, I
- 15:22Speaker 1: remember going to like dinner at live night at like
- 15:26Speaker 1: the fountain blue steakhouse and then going to like the,
- 15:29Speaker 1: the dinner with the DJ and the artist. And then, uh,
- 15:32Speaker 1: we were like backstage and went to the club and
- 15:36Speaker 1: in a limo and it was all very, very like lux,
- 15:39Speaker 1: but it was like some fat old rich man who
- 15:41Speaker 1: was like, footing the bill how do you meet these
- 15:43Speaker 1: people i mean miami was a wild place but this
- 15:45Speaker 1: was before social media was a thing it was just
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know back in my little club rat days but
- 15:50Speaker 1: i had a lot of friends too at that time
- 15:52Speaker 1: like who lived in new york city that we would
- 15:54Speaker 1: go on dates just for dinners like okay yeah i
- 15:57Speaker 1: know this man wants to hang out and feed me
- 15:59Speaker 1: Peace out. Never going to see you again. And I
- 16:02Speaker 1: wish I could still do that.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I was going to say, like, it's like,
- 16:04Speaker 2: you know, a part of me wants to say, like, oh,
- 16:06Speaker 2: that's so messed up.
- 16:07Speaker 3: But at the same time, no, like, it's the guy's
- 16:08Speaker 3: choice to take you out.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:10Speaker 2: You know, he wants to take you out. And it
- 16:11Speaker 2: feels good for him to have, like, a pretty woman
- 16:13Speaker 2: with him.
- 16:14Speaker 3: There you go. You're paying for the date. And I'm
- 16:16Speaker 3: sure they asked. It's not like.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Again, if you ask for the date, pay for the date. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: you're helping him aura farm. That's a cost into itself.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You're wasting time. You're getting ready. You're looking gorgeous and
- 16:26Speaker 1: entertaining this person, essentially hosting an event with one person. No,
- 16:30Speaker 1: you literally are. This is work.
- 16:32Speaker 4: You go out with these men and you realize, oh
- 16:33Speaker 4: my God, they've never had a conversation ever.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Literally.
- 16:36Speaker 4: And you're like teaching them what it's like to exist
- 16:39Speaker 4: in a conversation and they think, you guys are just vibing.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And it's like, no, I'm giving you a standup comedy act. Literally.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I'm like dense monkey dance. And then I'm paid. They're
- 16:49Speaker 1: actually the girls on the internet are right. It's true.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I mean, I see both sides of it. Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 4: I kind of did something similar to you when I
- 16:56Speaker 4: was an intern in New York because drinks were so
- 16:58Speaker 4: expensive and I lived in a dorm. So you technically
- 17:00Speaker 4: couldn't have alcohol. And I'm just such a rule follower
- 17:03Speaker 4: that I would just be so paranoid. So in order
- 17:05Speaker 4: to pregame, I need.
- 17:06Speaker 1: To go out.
- 17:07Speaker 4: And so I would set up Bumble dates to be
- 17:10Speaker 4: able to get liquored up before I met my friends.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I remember there was like one date. I had like
- 17:14Speaker 4: three back-to-back drink dates. I went from like Midtown to
- 17:17Speaker 4: Soho to Chelsea. And then I was like hammered by
- 17:19Speaker 4: the time I saw my friends.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That is amazing. I'm like, here we go. You need
- 17:23Speaker 1: to watch Next Gen NYC if you are an intern
- 17:25Speaker 1: in New York. It's on Bravo. It's all the like
- 17:27Speaker 1: Bravo kids that now live in New York. And they're interns.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It's really funny.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I love that actually. But Scotty, I was on the
- 17:33Speaker 1: way here listening, obviously to Magic as I do all day,
- 17:35Speaker 1: every day. But heard about your 30th birthday in Key West.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And your payment situation and all of that. And it
- 17:41Speaker 1: took me back to my bachelorette party, which I ended
- 17:43Speaker 1: up planning in Miami just so that my parents could
- 17:46Speaker 1: give me the house so that I wouldn't have to
- 17:47Speaker 1: make anyone pay. Because I feel you. It was really tough.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I had some girls that even backed out of my
- 17:52Speaker 1: bachelorette because of cost.
- 17:53Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah. It's tough.
- 17:56Speaker 2: That's why, like I said on the show, I took,
- 17:58Speaker 2: and I said it on the podcast too, my friends
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't know, but I paid half the thing already. Because
- 18:03Speaker 2: I knew if I said that whole price, they would
- 18:05Speaker 2: have been like, all right, no, we can't do it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: What's the cost for one person to go on your... Oh,
- 18:09Speaker 1: for right now?
- 18:10Speaker 3: What I got it down to? Like $ 164 a person.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Okay, that's not bad. Oh my God, that's... That's nothing.
- 18:15Speaker 1: That's really not bad.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I think what's hard... QS is not cheap. I realize
- 18:18Speaker 3: that now.
- 18:18Speaker 1: QS is not a cheap.
- 18:19Speaker 3: It's the flights, though, that are getting people.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I get, but they could technically drive. They could.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Well, some people are flying from like Honestly, so many
- 18:26Speaker 2: of my friends are coming from different states. So like
- 18:29Speaker 2: up in the Northeast, then out in the West. And
- 18:30Speaker 2: so they got to fly to Florida and then to Florida,
- 18:32Speaker 2: the Key West.
- 18:33Speaker 3: It's I understand those prices.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Girl, you should have done a beach house in St. Pete.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Here's the thing.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And I know they won't ever listen to this podcast,
- 18:41Speaker 2: but like the whole idea came from me talking to
- 18:43Speaker 2: my friends.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 18:44Speaker 2: My whole love language is quality time. I don't care
- 18:47Speaker 2: where we are, what we're doing. I just want to
- 18:48Speaker 2: be hanging out together.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah. I would have done it here if they're like,
- 18:52Speaker 1: oh yeah, that's cool.
- 18:53Speaker 3: But the idea started getting spit out. Oh, we should
- 18:55Speaker 3: change up the scenery.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It's your birthday.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I know.
- 18:58Speaker 3: But I was like, it is kind of cool.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's your 13 going on 30.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It feels like it. But it was a cool way
- 19:02Speaker 2: to switch it up. So I was like, oh, Key
- 19:03Speaker 2: West would be cool. And in my head, I'm like,
- 19:05Speaker 2: that's not that far. Like that's an easy trip versus,
- 19:08Speaker 2: all right, let's get everyone to fly to a cabin
- 19:09Speaker 2: in Tennessee.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So I guess it just came down to, I didn't
- 19:14Speaker 2: realize that prices would get jacked up right now to
- 19:17Speaker 2: fly even from Tampa Bay to Key West.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Well, that's what's getting people. Are you doing it in October? Yes.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I mean, that's high season. It's peak season. Son of
- 19:23Speaker 1: a gun.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Well, I didn't choose when I was born.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. You did choose Key West though. I did.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Can you please use some of your like influencer poll
- 19:31Speaker 1: over there? You need to start reaching out to places.
- 19:34Speaker 3: That would be good.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I already have the Airbnb booked. I guess I could
- 19:37Speaker 1: do it for. You could look up like a beach
- 19:39Speaker 1: picnic moment, like a beach cabana. Like, I'm sure there's like,
- 19:42Speaker 1: as we have so many wonderful vendors here in Tampa
- 19:44Speaker 1: Bay that. Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 4: We I was about to say I'm like Alexia is
- 19:48Speaker 4: so good at this because I've done the whole quote
- 19:50Speaker 4: unquote I'm not I don't consider myself an influencer like
- 19:52Speaker 4: you have the job of influencer I think I just
- 19:55Speaker 4: have followers if that makes sense nah you're an influencer
- 19:58Speaker 4: And she knows how to pitch herself to be able
- 20:01Speaker 4: to get these certain things and provide added value, all
- 20:04Speaker 4: the things. Whereas I feel like I've emailed people for
- 20:06Speaker 4: years where I'm like, hey, I have 30,000.
- 20:08Speaker 1: People on Instagram. Can I post? I'll post for you.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'll post for you in exchange for you giving me cookies.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And people are like, no. They're like, nah, we're good.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I used to work on the PR agency side. So
- 20:17Speaker 1: I used to be the one receiving the emails. And
- 20:20Speaker 1: I learned how... to write them and how the PR
- 20:24Speaker 1: people are looking for them. So that might help.
- 20:26Speaker 4: You should honestly do like a course that people get
- 20:29Speaker 4: like a, a sub stack or a Patreon where you
- 20:30Speaker 4: can be like, listen, if you want to figure out
- 20:32Speaker 4: how to pitch yourself to be able to get X, Y,
- 20:35Speaker 4: Z things, or even just giving people an idea of like,
- 20:38Speaker 4: What is reasonable for me to ask? Because you sometimes
- 20:41Speaker 4: don't know you're underselling yourself. Sometimes you're overselling yourself. Sometimes
- 20:45Speaker 4: you just aren't using your tools to the right ability
- 20:48Speaker 4: to be able to get what you want.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You could crush that. Yeah. Thank you.
- 20:51Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 20:52Speaker 1: No, and it's true because there's so much more that
- 20:55Speaker 1: people have to offer that they don't necessarily realize. But, yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I think, Scottie, you need to flaunt your name in QS.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I will try, because that's the idea. How many games
- 21:04Speaker 1: are you going? I'm going the first weekend in October.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Is that Fantasy Fest?
- 21:07Speaker 2: No, we're just missing it. I would say that's going
- 21:10Speaker 2: to be expensive. Yeah, that would be more expensive. But
- 21:13Speaker 2: what I want to do is I just want to do, like,
- 21:14Speaker 2: two group activities. Like, one is, like, a snorkel activity.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's an all-you-could-eat, like. like, seafood boil on the actual boat.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So you snorkel, and then you chow, and I'm like,
- 21:23Speaker 2: that would be sweet. So that could be something I
- 21:24Speaker 2: could partner up with. Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Because then I could save my friends, like, 70 bucks.
- 21:27Speaker 3: That would be great.
- 21:28Speaker 1: That would be great. What if they comp something?
- 21:30Speaker 2: Something.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Like, just something.
- 21:31Speaker 2: But what I'm seeing right now is, like, so my
- 21:34Speaker 2: friends who were calling me yesterday, like, stressed about flights.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I did wake up this morning. They did buy their flights.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:38Speaker 3: So I'm like, I'm grateful they're in. They, I guess,
- 21:41Speaker 3: bucked up and paid the price.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Breeze Airways would have worked with you. What? I just
- 21:45Speaker 1: saw them. Wait, really?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Damn, an airline?
- 21:47Speaker 1: I know a couple. A couple of influencers that you've
- 21:49Speaker 1: met through St. Pete Gala's just did a Breeze girls
- 21:51Speaker 1: trip to the Bahamas this past weekend.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Oh, wait.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I saw that. I was so jealous. It was Breeze.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Are you kidding? I just flew Breeze. And they're all micro-influencers.
- 21:59Speaker 2: See?
- 22:00Speaker 1: So I'm just saying, we got to give the people
- 22:02Speaker 1: a lesson.
- 22:03Speaker 3: When you set up your course, I'm signing up.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Wait, let's see where Breeze... Should we take a magic
- 22:06Speaker 1: trip somewhere on Breeze? I think Breeze goes to Key West.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I would go to Key West. It goes to Charleston.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Oh my God, let's go to Charleston. I would die.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Should we go for Bravo Fan Fest? Wait, you've been
- 22:16Speaker 1: wanting to go to Bravo Fan Fest for so long.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I know, I'm just like, how do I make it
- 22:18Speaker 1: a work trip? I would love to go back to Charleston.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It'll be too cold in November, but if we go
- 22:23Speaker 1: in October... Cobra's.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Gonna be slammed. Damn, I was gonna say, I was like,
- 22:26Speaker 3: I already got two weekends, I'm gone.
- 22:28Speaker 1: You know, also, something that you should do in Key
- 22:30Speaker 1: West is a walking food tour. Oh, really? I did that,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and it was one of the most fun things I've
- 22:36Speaker 1: ever done.
- 22:36Speaker 3: That sounds fun.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Because you learn a lot about, like, food that you
- 22:38Speaker 1: would never think of. Like there's a really big Cuban influence.
- 22:41Speaker 1: There's like Caribbean. There's a lot of like. Speaking of
- 22:46Speaker 1: the Caribbean, Breeze goes to the Caribbean. So I would
- 22:50Speaker 1: say look into Key West like food tours. Like I
- 22:52Speaker 1: don't know a specific company because the last time I
- 22:54Speaker 1: did it was years ago. But that was a really
- 22:56Speaker 1: fun and a good way to like because you walk
- 22:59Speaker 1: to different places.
- 22:59Speaker 2: See, that's what I was looking at, because I didn't
- 23:01Speaker 2: want to do, like, I've done a, what is it,
- 23:03Speaker 2: a haunted.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Tour or whatever, a ghost tour. Yeah, the food tour
- 23:05Speaker 1: is a funner version of that.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I'd rather go and walk around with a group, and then, like,
- 23:09Speaker 2: that's what, I want three or two group activities, and
- 23:12Speaker 2: the rest should just be chill.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Like, go out and get a drink and chill.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Food tour. Food tour. And then I'll send you some recommendations.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Please do.
- 23:20Speaker 1: My cousin got married there not too long ago. Okay,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you guys. Here are our options.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Here's our flights that were going on.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Key West. Okay, love it. Charleston. Also drag queens. One
- 23:30Speaker 1: of the most famous drag clubs is in Key West
- 23:32Speaker 1: called Aqua. My ex-coworker, or no, maybe that's Charleston. He
- 23:35Speaker 1: has a drag queen brother. Oh, wow. I wish I
- 23:38Speaker 1: was a drag queen. New Orleans. Oh, wow. Tales of
- 23:41Speaker 1: the Cocktails?
- 23:42Speaker 4: Nola would be fun, although Nola kind of freaks me out,
- 23:45Speaker 4: but the food scene is great.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Why does it freak you out?
- 23:48Speaker 4: I went there on a University of Florida road trip once,
- 23:51Speaker 4: and some guy, like, I just felt like something bad
- 23:53Speaker 4: happened every time we went.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Some guy jumped off a balcony, he went blind.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Some guy got acid poured on him.
- 23:58Speaker 1: It's just getting sinister. I went on a DG Gainesville trip,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and I was my best friend's plus one, and it was,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think they're formal weekenders? It was a game. It
- 24:08Speaker 1: was a UF game. Yeah, that's what we do. We
- 24:10Speaker 1: do road trip either to NOLA or to Nashville. That
- 24:12Speaker 1: was one of the craziest experiences of my life. That's
- 24:14Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. We went overnight on a bus.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Started drinking at like 1 a.m. on this bus. So
- 24:18Speaker 1: by the time we got to New Orleans, it was
- 24:20Speaker 1: like 6 a.m. And I remember I puked. I got
- 24:22Speaker 1: off the bus at 6 a.m.
- 24:23Speaker 3: And puked.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I was trying to hook up with a guy and
- 24:25Speaker 1: I puked in my mouth while we were talking. And
- 24:28Speaker 1: he literally just looked at me and I'm just like, yep.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I just threw up in my mouth and swallowed it.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Did you end up making out with him?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yes. So I, here's what happened. I did the same thing.
- 24:39Speaker 4: So we were driving to Nashville on UF road trip.
- 24:41Speaker 4: My sophomore year, I drank, I went on like a
- 24:44Speaker 4: two week cleanse. I'm like, I'm not drinking for two weeks.
- 24:45Speaker 4: So I was ready to freaking go.
- 24:47Speaker 1: That's even worse.
- 24:47Speaker 4: I threw up on myself in my new North face backpack.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Also all like in my hair, the bus breaks down.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I'm sitting outside and the hot sun just like reeking
- 24:59Speaker 4: of throw up. i could not get to my shower
- 25:02Speaker 4: fast enough yeah it was heinous but to um another
- 25:05Speaker 4: thing remember when you're talking about armando yeah armando that
- 25:08Speaker 4: was also on uf road trip but two years later
- 25:10Speaker 4: oh yeah no throw up on that trip so we
- 25:13Speaker 4: don't have to road trip we can just go on
- 25:14Speaker 4: breeze airways to nola we can.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Also go to.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Nassau bahamas hey that'd be fun um saint thomas um
- 25:24Speaker 4: san jose costa rica cancun montego bay jamaica we could
- 25:27Speaker 4: stay at sandals i'm i always thought sandals looked very
- 25:30Speaker 4: nice wait can we go to a sandals and like
- 25:32Speaker 4: make couple friends.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I would love to go to a sandals they do
- 25:35Speaker 2: those like i see radio people all the time doing
- 25:38Speaker 2: broadcasts from sandals yes we can turn it into a
- 25:40Speaker 2: spring break at sandals wait that's.
- 25:42Speaker 4: What we should do we should figure out if we
- 25:43Speaker 4: can do a broadcast from sandals and we can get
- 25:45Speaker 4: breeze to sponsor our flights.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Probably somewhere like cool like i feel like there's trendier
- 25:49Speaker 1: resorts than sandals but we can stay for free but
- 25:51Speaker 1: we can stay for free i know i know i
- 25:53Speaker 1: know but yes okay i agree i'm down for.
- 25:55Speaker 2: This let's do it you guys spring break 2027 if not.
- 25:59Speaker 4: We can just go to i don't know mexico kind
- 26:01Speaker 4: of freaks me out too with all the beheadings.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Well i feel very comfortable with mexico you think so
- 26:05Speaker 1: yeah what about vera maya what.
- 26:07Speaker 4: About saint thomas oh that'd be nice saint thomas or
- 26:10Speaker 4: puerto rico Puerto Rico is not on this list.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Well, we can talk to Visit St. Pete Clearwater. If
- 26:16Speaker 1: it's a direct flight, they could be interested in helping us.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Why don't you shut that up, girl? Abby loves a trip, clearly.
- 26:23Speaker 2: I love a trip.
- 26:23Speaker 1: She's literally going to Italy.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Literally going to Italy in like four days.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Get me out of here. I'm kidding.
- 26:31Speaker 2: No.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yeah. See if we can do something like early November.
- 26:33Speaker 1: That'd be fun. Right out of hurricane season. Oh, good.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Before we close this thing down though, I do want
- 26:39Speaker 2: to talk about your puppy though, because we mentioned you
- 26:40Speaker 2: have a dog, but this is not something you've ever
- 26:42Speaker 2: said before on the podcast or the show. So you
- 26:45Speaker 2: got a freaking dog and you got a puppy, you
- 26:47Speaker 2: and your husband.
- 26:47Speaker 1: One week ago, we got a puppy and we got
- 26:50Speaker 1: her from a breeder. We were trying to adopt and
- 26:52Speaker 1: we were going all kinds of ways. And we went,
- 26:55Speaker 1: we found this really great breeder that was recommended to
- 26:58Speaker 1: from multiple people that I know. And I, was like,
- 27:01Speaker 1: all right. And so we had a couple of FaceTime
- 27:03Speaker 1: calls with them. Sunday Acres, I believe is their name.
- 27:06Speaker 1: They're based out of Gainesville.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Nice.
- 27:09Speaker 1: And they focus on Bernadoodles and Aussie doodles. So we
- 27:11Speaker 1: got a mini Bernadoodle. She's a She will be 25 pounds.
- 27:14Speaker 1: How long have you hated rescue pups? I had a
- 27:18Speaker 1: rescue pup growing up. I did. And you did your time.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You know, we just we really wanted to burn a doodle.
- 27:24Speaker 1: And it was really hard, obviously, to find a rescue
- 27:26Speaker 1: burner doodle. We wanted a designer. Girl, I'm joking with you.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I have a rag doll cat at home.
- 27:32Speaker 4: I mean. Unnecessary cap. I could have gone to the
- 27:35Speaker 4: shelter and gotten some.
- 27:36Speaker 1: We were looking at rescue pups because I've had connections
- 27:39Speaker 1: with friends rescue pups. I was like, wow, this is
- 27:41Speaker 1: so like unlike any other dog I've met. But we
- 27:44Speaker 1: just FaceTimed with Luna. We were looking at her brother
- 27:46Speaker 1: originally and she was in the background. Her personality was
- 27:49Speaker 1: just like very chill. Like my husband and I. So
- 27:51Speaker 1: we fell in love. And funny enough, I had a
- 27:53Speaker 1: psychic reading this weekend again. You did? I had them scheduled.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Did anything interesting come up? He said that she was
- 28:00Speaker 1: our soul dog. That she was like meant to come
- 28:03Speaker 1: to us because she is preparing my womb for childbearing
- 28:06Speaker 1: in three years. In three years you're going to have kids.
- 28:10Speaker 1: This is what the psychic said. That she was meant
- 28:12Speaker 1: to come our way to change our lifestyle and everything
- 28:15Speaker 1: because we're easing into that stage.
- 28:18Speaker 4: You gotta prepare to be a human parent you're thinking
- 28:20Speaker 4: about having a kid.
- 28:20Speaker 1: No absolutely not that's furthest from my mind but i
- 28:23Speaker 1: can't control the universe and the spirit sending a dog
- 28:26Speaker 1: to prep my womb i don't know how do you
- 28:29Speaker 1: think luna's prepping your womb i do feel it's interesting
- 28:32Speaker 1: when i signed on with my psychic it's a zoom
- 28:34Speaker 1: call the first thing he said was the three words
- 28:36Speaker 1: i'm that are coming to me for you right now
- 28:37Speaker 1: are soft feminine divine And I will say since having
- 28:40Speaker 1: the puppy, it's only been one week. I do feel
- 28:42Speaker 1: this like softer, more maternal feminine side of me that
- 28:45Speaker 1: I never really felt before. And it's like this constant
- 28:48Speaker 1: hustle and grind that I was, you know, always trying
- 28:51Speaker 1: to find the next mountain to climb, the next event,
- 28:54Speaker 1: the next partner, the next client. Now I don't feel
- 28:56Speaker 1: like something quieted a little bit inside of me. Like
- 28:59Speaker 1: I go home and I feel like I can just
- 29:01Speaker 1: like chill and be with the dog and be with Mike.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Whereas before I'd be like, what's the next pitch? What's
- 29:05Speaker 1: the next email campaign? Like, you know, so it's already
- 29:08Speaker 1: started to pivot in a way where I'm looking inward
- 29:10Speaker 1: and focusing on family and life and home. When that
- 29:13Speaker 1: really wasn't like a priority at all. And even the
- 29:16Speaker 1: psychic was like, I'm seeing that something like I didn't
- 29:19Speaker 1: say anything about the dog to him at all. And
- 29:21Speaker 1: he said, I'm seeing your life is becoming more cozy now.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And that you're looking more to your husband and to
- 29:26Speaker 1: your home and to your family after a period of
- 29:28Speaker 1: intense hustle. Why? I started bawling when he said all that. Wait,
- 29:33Speaker 1: can I call him? Yeah, yeah. He's amazing. He's actually
- 29:36Speaker 1: in New York. He's super fabulous. Can I ask how
- 29:39Speaker 1: much it costs? A hundred something for an hour session.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Totally worth it. For an hour? Yeah, and my mom
- 29:45Speaker 1: did a call with him the day before I did,
- 29:46Speaker 1: and she had an amazing experience.
- 29:48Speaker 4: An hour is wild. I don't know that there's enough
- 29:50Speaker 4: going on in my life that we can talk for
- 29:51Speaker 4: an hour.
- 29:51Speaker 1: No, it got to the point where he was like,
- 29:53Speaker 1: can we talk about more? And I was like, honestly,
- 29:54Speaker 1: I'm good. And we cut it before the hour because
- 29:56Speaker 1: I felt so... refreshed and enlightened after our conversation I
- 29:59Speaker 1: was like I don't need readings on anybody else because
- 30:01Speaker 1: he will be like oh do you want to send
- 30:03Speaker 1: me pictures and I could do readings on like loved
- 30:06Speaker 1: ones and I was like no was there anything.
- 30:08Speaker 4: That he said that scared you other than the kid thing.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Um he said he thinks my dad is dead which
- 30:13Speaker 1: I haven't spoken to my dad in 15 years oh
- 30:15Speaker 1: my god so he thinks my father is no longer
- 30:17Speaker 1: on this earthly plane which I didn't know um so
- 30:20Speaker 1: that was like crazy to hear and I feel like again,
- 30:23Speaker 1: haven't spoken to him in 15 years. So I feel
- 30:25Speaker 1: like I need to confirm that, like go through the
- 30:28Speaker 1: proper channels to like see if that's true or not.
- 30:30Speaker 1: But hearing that also gave me some closure kind of,
- 30:35Speaker 1: but also some feelings for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. No, no.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm very open about that. But it was crazy. He
- 30:42Speaker 1: was like, I sense, you know, a lot of fatherly issues.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, you're on it, buddy. How
- 30:49Speaker 1: often do you talk to the psychic? This was my
- 30:52Speaker 1: second session. And the first one was like in July.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And I just happened to schedule it cause my mom
- 30:56Speaker 1: really wanted one. So I booked her one and we
- 30:58Speaker 1: paid for it. And then I was like, let me
- 30:59Speaker 1: just book one for me too.
- 31:00Speaker 4: So is what prompted you to go to the psychic,
- 31:03Speaker 4: your mom, or have you been thinking about this for
- 31:04Speaker 4: a while?
- 31:05Speaker 1: The first time was, I just felt the need to
- 31:07Speaker 1: go in like July. I just scheduled a random appointment
- 31:10Speaker 1: and that one was very much more conversations from like
- 31:13Speaker 1: the spirits and people who have passed and things like that.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Whereas this conversation was much more me centric. And I
- 31:19Speaker 1: really liked that. It was like two readings in two
- 31:21Speaker 1: months and they were so different.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 1: So he's, I think he's legit. Shout out Thomas. What's
- 31:26Speaker 1: his name?
- 31:27Speaker 2: Thomas.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Thomas Dale, I believe.
- 31:31Speaker 3: It is interesting because.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I fought that belief for so long that psychics actually
- 31:34Speaker 2: do anything. But then you talk to some that like
- 31:37Speaker 2: nail it and you're blown away, but they know certain
- 31:40Speaker 2: things about you that nobody else knows.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I know. It's very weird. They even, when I had
- 31:44Speaker 1: my first call with him in July, he saw a
- 31:46Speaker 1: puppy coming to my life. What? And he were you
- 31:48Speaker 1: thinking about a puppy in July? We were thinking about it. Yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 1: But I also thought I was pregnant that week. So
- 31:52Speaker 1: I was like, oh, he's picking that up. It was
- 31:54Speaker 1: that I think I told you that week, right? I
- 31:56Speaker 1: didn't get my period. So I was like, OK, he's
- 31:58Speaker 1: picking up my that energy. And no, it was it
- 32:01Speaker 1: was the puppy.
- 32:02Speaker 3: It was the puppy.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And I told him I was like, I don't know
- 32:04Speaker 1: if he's like, I don't remember my previous conversations unless
- 32:06Speaker 1: it's someone I talk to often. And I was like, well,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you told me I was getting a puppy. And he
- 32:10Speaker 1: also told me I was doing work under my house.
- 32:13Speaker 1: And since then, we did all of our plumbing. We
- 32:14Speaker 1: redid all of our plumbing. What the hell? Yeah, so, like,
- 32:17Speaker 1: weird specific things like that that were, like, didn't make
- 32:20Speaker 1: sense at the time, but then it was, like, as
- 32:21Speaker 1: my plumbing was being done, I was like, oh, shit.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Thomas called this.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I need to record any.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Readings that I have. I'm booking this. Yeah, come on.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Go get a reading, Abby.
- 32:30Speaker 1: You text him. He's super cool. Oh, you literally do
- 32:33Speaker 1: text him.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 3: There it is.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Oh, no, I hate that because I feel like he
- 32:36Speaker 1: can look me up. He didn't know anything about me.
- 32:39Speaker 1: He only had my number. That's what he says.
- 32:40Speaker 3: That's what he says.
- 32:41Speaker 1: That's where we get a little cynical about it. He
- 32:43Speaker 1: seems legit, but yes, you know, to each their own.
- 32:47Speaker 1: All right. Well, I actually, I got to run.
- 32:48Speaker 3: So love this.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I'm glad we got a couple of the updates, but
- 32:51Speaker 2: obviously we need to have more updates more often with Alexia.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I love this. Thank you for having me. This was
- 32:55Speaker 1: so fun. Such a good catch up.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Obviously, gosh, come in any time.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And now that I'm up earlier with my doggie and
- 33:02Speaker 1: my husband's home cleaning her poopy in the morning because
- 33:04Speaker 1: she's still in a playpen. So she poops in a
- 33:08Speaker 1: little litter box and then like runs into it. So
- 33:11Speaker 1: she like gets the poop all up in her paws everywhere.
- 33:13Speaker 1: So we're still dealing with that phase, but she'll be
- 33:15Speaker 1: potty trained hopefully within two weeks.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Oh my gosh that would be exciting And then have
- 33:19Speaker 2: you told the story Abby About the universe working in
- 33:22Speaker 2: mysterious ways Oh.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Yeah I haven't told my hinge date story yet And
- 33:26Speaker 4: I haven't told the universe Bringing me my husband
- 33:30Speaker 2: Okay let's get to that one tomorrow Okay we'll do
- 33:32Speaker 2: it tomorrow More coming this week
