- 0:00True and that is he has four types one is simple the guy is
- 0:04very slow who talks only to a few people gets out of his chair
- 0:08very slowly he says that very slowly that's an arrogant guy
- 0:11heavy guy another guy is scary intimidating person also a level
- 0:16of arrogance. Everyone can be the exact same.
- 0:19Any one of us could be scary if you want to.
- 0:21We could all be intimidating. That guy who thinks it's cool to
- 0:24be intimidating is actually just about Galva we're.
- 0:26The first guy we could be too. We could all be the same guy.
- 0:29So teal guy and the other ones are more unique where they don't
- 0:31really show it so clearly, but they are so arrogant that they
- 0:35actually they know that it's smart to be humble.
- 0:39That's good for popularity to be humble.
- 0:42And they said he says, I don't care about anything.
- 0:43That too can be an arrogance. And he says that that guy
- 0:47usually show his true colors when he gets angry over
- 0:49something small, that's when it shows out.
- 0:52Those are the guys. And then there's the fourth guy
- 0:55who really never shows it, who has a buried deep inside, and he
- 0:59says the way that fourth guy functions is he says no one else
- 1:02is worth anything to me. I'm so much greater than
- 1:05everyone else. I don't even need to be treated
- 1:07like anything. I'm just so special.
- 1:09OK, talk to a magazine person. That one is not so common, but
- 1:13the other ones are very common now.
- 1:17And what ends up happening is they push away a shem when they
- 1:23have this holiness. The beauty of all these four
- 1:26people is the whole bunch of sketches.
- 1:28But what's the 4th size motive? What's the motive?
- 1:32Nobody knows. Right this.
- 1:33Story. You know, I'm saying people just
- 1:35don't have a motive. They just rather do it.
- 1:38They just have. Nobody wants to know.
- 1:39Why would the guy be interested? What's his physical drive?
- 1:43So as we desire to hide his arrogance.
- 1:45It sounds a little bit like I'm walking around.
- 1:48I'm the king of Brooklyn. Nobody knows about it, but I'm.
- 1:50I'll tell you the reason they do so.
- 1:52The reason the bird does so is he wants to stick to his opinion
- 1:56and he wants to have his sense. Let's go a little deeper.
- 1:59Why are people are the core of everything?
- 2:02Literally, they want to feel good about themselves.
- 2:06The core of everything in this world is you just know this.
- 2:08I think what are we dealing with people is people want to be
- 2:12relevant. They want to be relevant and
- 2:13that's it. And because of that, so some
- 2:16people think if I carry myself intimidating otherwise would
- 2:19otherwise would be afraid of me. That's relevance.
- 2:21If I carry myself slowly, other people will be impressed by me.
- 2:25There's a sense of power that's relevance.
- 2:27If and the fourth guy, if I am safe and I consider everyone
- 2:33nothing and live without means I'm something.
- 2:36Therefore I always feel good about myself.
- 2:39No one can ever take me down. It's the wrong version of having
- 2:42confidence. Confidence, real self-confidence
- 2:45means I feel fully confident at all times.
- 2:48No one can really hurt me. Great, they want to raise our
- 2:51kids that way. But this guy is misguided.
- 2:55His lack of guidance tells him I feel awesome all the time.
- 2:59Nobody is smarter than me. No one is better than me.
- 3:03No one is more impressive than me.
- 3:04And if no one could take me down, it's a very safe,
- 3:07protected way of being. That's the more to do.
- 3:10I'll never get insulted. You'll never get argued by he
- 3:13he. Sounds measured.
- 3:15He's. You don't.
- 3:18Know the guy in the basement that's got opinions to the wazoo
- 3:22and he thinks he knows everything?
- 3:23You know the other guy, the guy who calls the radio station, he
- 3:26thinks. Yeah, but everyone knows he's a.
- 3:29Lot of people have, and all these levels of arrogance.
- 3:33A lot of people have a little bit of this guy, a little bit of
- 3:36that kind, a little bit of this layer.
- 3:38No one really is, you know, fully on these degrees of
- 3:43arrogance. Most known people cannot
- 3:44function. They can't be part of the real
- 3:46world, the nation world with any of these degrees the full way.
- 3:50But they have an element of this.
- 3:52Let's see all these different versions of the GAVA causes
- 4:03wisest people to regress. It ruins the mind of those who
- 4:13are wise, even the great sages, and if students are not properly
- 4:21learning, they sure they're at risk with this kind of arrogance
- 4:25to falling apart and falling off their wisdom.
- 4:28Al qulam nehmar to avat Hashem called gvalev.
- 4:33Hashem considers such a person who is arrogant to be to Eva
- 4:39disgusting when we kulam Zarif, she and IKEA had said, and
- 4:43without an acute we need to be very distant on this approach.
- 4:48Veda V Avin, you need to know and understand key en agava El
- 4:53evaron mamash. Arrogance is blindness.
- 4:59It's literally being blind. I should end circle Adam.
- 5:05It's just not allowing yourself to see your floors.
- 5:10That's all it is. And to recognize the fact that
- 5:13you're a human being, if you're able to see him, to identify the
- 5:20truth, Hayasar, Umitra, Hek, Nikola de Rahim, Haraim and
- 5:26Makukalin, he would have avoided such paths.
- 5:29He would have been very distant for such a path for all.
- 5:34If I will speak more about this eventually, but he says when he
- 5:36talks about the Medal of Humility.
- 5:38But for now, when it comes to the idea of cleansing your
- 5:42character, of making him that key, you want to avoid arrogance
- 5:46at all. Course you want to tell
- 5:48yourself, I don't need to be a sketch.
- 5:50I don't need to carry on myself with this fake sense of who I
- 5:55am. I can be as confident as it
- 5:57gets. I don't need this false
- 5:59narrative. I don't need this false
- 6:00perspective. I don't need this idea that
- 6:03everyone is looking at me as if I'm something special because
- 6:05I'm making myself special. It's a complete sketch.
- 6:09That guy is like anyone else. His same flaws.
- 6:14His wife, by the way, treats him the same way if she's able to.
- 6:19His children get along and don't go anything the same way.
- 6:23His coworkers behind his back or his employees behind his back
- 6:27talk about him the same way. He's got no more, you know,
- 6:31better relationships, better friendships and you know more
- 6:36people appreciate him. He just has this little circle
- 6:40around himself called I Am Great.
- 6:44And in reality, he's gaining nothing from this approach.
- 6:48He may be gaining more notoriety in the community.
- 6:51He might be gaining a bigger name in the community that yes,
- 6:55but nothing else when it comes to his actual self is more
- 6:59enjoyable. He's not developing in character
- 7:02because he has his protective bubble.
- 7:04He is not developing more real friends because they can't say
- 7:07anything wrong to him. They can never say anything to
- 7:09him. Honestly, his marriage is
- 7:11shaking because I have to always be on tonight's right.
- 7:16Even if his wife might get along with him, it's still essentially
- 7:19his children either are terrified from him or don't get
- 7:22along with him. The moment they get their own
- 7:24keys to their own accounts. Reality, right?
- 7:27All this unravels because this person has never allowed himself
- 7:32to have actual genuine character getting along.
- 7:35How do you have getting along? By being a human being who is
- 7:39humble in a sense that I'm not perfect and I do not need to be
- 7:43treated that way When I carry myself with a knee, to be
- 7:48pompous, to be sitting on a sort of throne, to be treated like a
- 7:53king, to have that whole approach, I end up ruining
- 7:57everything for myself. My relationships, my
- 7:59development, my friendships, my own character, all that.
- 8:04My down to earthness, my balance in life.
- 8:08It's all out the window. We decide you need to be on a
- 8:13perch. That's how it goes.
- 8:15Fine. Now let's talk about anger a
- 8:18little bit. First of all, before we go
- 8:21forward, do we see this concept of how destructive arrogance is
- 8:27to go with your personal relationships and the care of
- 8:31the development scene? The guy is like this, the robot,
- 8:35he can't become anything. Nobody wants that to break blue
- 8:38over his eye, right? No one wants everything and he
- 8:41can't grow, right? Can't get through, can't
- 8:44penetrate, can't talk to him. So a lot of people like that,
- 8:49unfortunately. So they say you're your own
- 8:53worst anime. Yeah, there's a concept called
- 8:55Matil Emma. One of my one of them bombs
- 9:00lists a bad character and a bombs says very bad thing for
- 9:04the home. It's called Matil Emma alibi.
- 9:07It's what does it mean Matilia alibi scare to put in an
- 9:11intimidating opponent and the all I mean in the old days when
- 9:17the wife was you know that houses a little bit of a
- 9:20different balance and the wife could have been scared of the
- 9:23husband such a thing for her husband to do so to infuse that
- 9:29fear into his home on his wife that on bombs.
- 9:32This is terrible. I'll tell you why it's terrible.
- 9:35Nothing in your home is real If you infuse that fear.
- 9:39She she says she likes you. She don't really like you.
- 9:42She you're trying to, you know, have, you know, she tries to
- 9:46give you an opinion when it comes to how you dealing with
- 9:48other people, she can't give an opinion.
- 9:50All right, You don't have a real marriage.
- 9:53You don't have really connection and strength and fortification
- 9:57and human development. It's all phony.
- 9:59It's all fake and marriage, which is the method that a
- 10:04person can develop the best character to a marriage.
- 10:06Marriage jokes aside, the best character comes through a solid
- 10:12work on your marriage, not through a good marriage.
- 10:14Through a good work on your marriage, we all eventually hope
- 10:17to have a good marriage. Father's a process, the idea of
- 10:20compromising. Think about the medium you
- 10:23develop through marriage. So you can't have that.
- 10:25If. You're the guy who she can't say
- 10:27anything to you. Then you're the same guy.
- 10:29I think about the medium we thought you develop.
- 10:31You develop basic patients #1 all right.
- 10:36You develop the ability to hold your tongue.
- 10:39You develop the ability to hear other opinions.
- 10:42Not easy to do exactly. You develop they need to change
- 10:46your ways. This literally is, this is
- 10:51life's. Life's school is the school of
- 10:56characters. Marriage.
- 10:56That's the way it is. It's a school of character not
- 10:59to understand. Not to understand.
- 11:01But everything develops through it right now, if you're willing
- 11:04to buy in, if you want to jump in, if you want to listen, if
- 11:09you have a degree of humility, great.
- 11:11Not the Hardesty case, but the guy was open.
- 11:13And that guy becomes a better guy and nicer guy and more
- 11:16thoughtful person, a more understanding person, a person
- 11:20who could change his ways, a person to be patient.
- 11:22All the beauties of character come through buying into
- 11:26marriage and all the flaws of untouched character, which is
- 11:31when a person stands alone, what happens?
- 11:33What happens to a single guy? What really happens could
- 11:36happen. There's no patience right there
- 11:40is going to eat you all the time.
- 11:43Frustrated constantly. There's a a belief that
- 11:45everything I say is right, right.
- 11:47All those mindsets come to someone who's single very often
- 11:51they're prone to that. So marriage, technically
- 11:53speaking, can be the greatest developer of our character, so
- 11:59long as well humble, so long as we're willing to listen.
- 12:04Not how zeet, but there, but open, but two sides.
- 12:08That's it. All right, but that's how
- 12:11important the idea of removing Gava from our system is.
- 12:15Just to open up the Medava of Cos for a second, how about
- 12:18anger? How bad is anger?
- 12:23Apparently the other thing about says it takes a man out of the
- 12:25world. Takes you out of the world.
- 12:27Exactly. And Hugo Ovett Abu Dazeera kilo
- 12:31ABBA Daza means literally it's on the family and on the level
- 12:36of ABBA Daza. Why?
- 12:37Because anger is display of lack of Hashem's presence.
- 12:42Arrogant is trying to push reaction's presence, anger flat
- 12:46out. There's no Hashem when there's
- 12:47anger. That's how bad it is all.
- 12:49Right. Is that what the I read up with
- 12:53the that bus? If you get angry with something,
- 12:56that means you're not accepting Hashem's.
- 12:59I guess the idea, that's exactly the idea.
- 13:01If you get angry, you're not accepting, you're not accepting.
- 13:04You don't really fully at that moment sense the existence of
- 13:07Hashem. It sounds extreme, but the truth
- 13:10of the matter is, anger is a goy me da.
- 13:14Some of us have anger tendencies we can't help, but we have
- 13:17certain blood that boils stronger.
- 13:19It's the hardest 1 to get rid of.
- 13:21It's the hardest 1 to get fine and and if you haven't,
- 13:23naturally it's even harder to get out of the system.
- 13:26However, working on it is in and of itself an incredible feat to
- 13:30just you focus, you have to know.
- 13:32Where to use your anger? Sometimes in certain situations
- 13:34you have to show anger. Sure, you know.
- 13:37But the the the frustration that a person can they're real
- 13:40boiling aside, let's say, throwing things or yelling or
- 13:45storming out. We're not talking all those
- 13:48versions of anger, which may be out of control, but they stem
- 13:51from the family of out of a control.
- 13:54Anger in its essence is a lack of control.
- 13:56Like what to do is saying them. Anger, they say.
- 13:59Anger and humility are the two things that you don't have to be
- 14:04in the mid. In the middle, humility should
- 14:06be all the way. You should be 0.
- 14:09It's exact same idea. Anger is the display of
- 14:12arrogance in a certain sense, as we'll see, it comes oftentimes
- 14:17on some degree of arrogance. Now, again, the big difference
- 14:19is this is not only character. This is your blood.
- 14:22Some people are Corning, some people are redheaded, some
- 14:26people all the way. They are all these things.
- 14:29I'm already getting. Real challenge, these are if you
- 14:31want a redhead cool head exactly.
- 14:34So that's a real challenge. Some people that blood boil can
- 14:37be very helpful, sure, but you got how to use it and you got,
- 14:41you know, like anything that's like a weapon, you got a gear,
- 14:43it's order strength. A weapon can be used of power,
- 14:46nuclear can be used for power or nuclear that can be used for
- 14:49destruction. In a certain sense that treat,
- 14:53so long as it's surrounded around good character can be
- 14:56used for good, but mine is the character.
- 14:59And on addition you have anger. Good luck.
- 15:02It's very difficult to live with as it's a very good person to
- 15:05live with and our job is to work out these things forever and we
- 15:09can and beside this time we will.
- 15:11And a real thing right about it.
