Rhode Island’s got a new, terrifying aquatic invader: a northern snakehead fish spotted in Asa Pond. This Asian predator, known for its snake-like appearance, can survive out of water and move between water bodies — posing a serious threat to native fish. Officials confirm this is the only one found so far, but they’re on high alert. If you’re fishing near Tri-Pond Park, keep your eyes peeled — if you catch one, don’t release it.
