- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Here's the greatest lesson is that you're on your own journey.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: And your journey is going to be on a road that so many entrepreneurs are struggle with because typically they're not surrounded by other entrepreneurs.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: And here you are on your island.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: And it's easy for things to be talked about when everything's going well, but characters are revealed when someone says things, lies, and other opportunities that they try to destroy your journey.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Entrepreneurship is tough.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: It is very tough.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: It's tough because you're out there on an island trying to do something that hasn't been done before.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: You're trying to set the narrative, you know, turn the page for you and your family.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Do something new, step outside the box, and there's no exact route and steps to do it.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: And the safe path for which others think is that you get that nine to five and you go to work and you do this until you get promoted to the next step, and eventually you become a vice president.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: And that life allows you to get the life that they want, not you want.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: This isn't the strength.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: This is the gained control of you trying to listen to a message that comes from someone that's not on your journey.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Live 100 is about continuing to live by the standards that you've set for yourself, even when others abandon theirs.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Your values, you can't depend on how other people treat you.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: You have to go and be disciplined to yourself.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean that you disappear when you feel you get disrespected.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: It just means that you have to understand your mission because when times get tough and trials and tribulations pop up, the most powerful response and consistency in your action.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: You are gonna have tough days, but you don't need to go out there and try to prove people wrong with some emotional speech.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: You need to get back to basics of just saying that each day I'm going to get better little by little.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And when I look back a decade from now, I'm gonna be so far past my life of where it stands today that I'm not even gonna be able to recognize it.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: All right, let's go.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: If you're tired of not feeling fit, tired just having to focus, tired just not having a life that you deserve.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: This is the place to be.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: I'm Jason Roosse.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Today we're just gonna talk about life and your response.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: You know, there's always gonna be someone who's gonna question your intentions or criticize your decisions or just even just completely make up a false version of who you are and share it with just anyone willing to listen.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: And in today's society, where you can go on to a social media and talk about someone and put something out there that the recipients or the people that see this honestly don't know both parties, and so they get stuck in the middle.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: You can't control that.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: You can't control what people do, but you can control what happens next.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: And the greatest danger, it isn't truly in what others say.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: The greatest danger is allowing their words to distract you from the man that you're trying to become.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: And this doesn't have to be on social media.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: This could be friends, this could be families, this could be coworkers, it could be people that are in your life right now that maybe aren't ready for your journey and aren't prepared to see you different than you've been or to see you grow.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And when someone attacks your character, your first reaction, it's it's usually to just go out there and defend yourself, right?
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: You get your uh shield and your sword and you're ready to go to battle and you want to call them back.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: You want to respond online and make sure that everyone understands the real story.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: But some people, they're not looking for the truth.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: They're looking for a reaction.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Every hour you spend trying to convince someone that you're committed to misunderstanding is an hour that you've stolen away from your family, your health, your business, and your purpose.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Your purpose is to live 100.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Your purpose is to get up each and every day and work on constantly improving yourself from all aspects.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean that you ignore everything.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And honestly, if if there's a false statement that threatens you in some way, I mean, you use the facts, you document the truth, right?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: You handle it directly, professionally.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: And when necessary, you do as those steps require.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: But so much noise gets you in a state that you're reacting instead of controlling.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And you can't go into that first part of saying, well, I need to respond.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Well, the first question is, is any of this true?
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna go out there and start a business, there are gonna be people that are gonna tell you it's not gonna work.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: If you want to leave a job that's been consistent, there's gonna be an uncle or an aunt, someone who's had a job that they've worked for for 30 or 40 years that just can't imagine in their own mind taking a risk, right, to step outside that's gonna try to give you doubt for saying, oh man, are you sure you want to take that risk?
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: And that's difficult because the criticism, it hurts, especially when it comes from someone that you potentially trust or trusted.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But strong men, you don't immediately reject every comfortable message.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You audit it.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be criticism and constructive criticism.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be people that are just trying to tear you down because they're not ready for the new you, or they're just not able to come to grips with who they are.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And there's gonna be constructive feedback, constructive criticism, feedback that comes from people that you can trust that are that are trying to help curb you to get on the right path by doing the steps and helping to allow you to manifest the true dream that you're after.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Maybe uh you've made a mistake, maybe you've hurt someone without realizing it.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Or honestly, if there's truth in the criticism, you take it.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: But you don't have to accept poison from people just to think that you have to receive a lesson.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: You own what's yours, you fix what you can, you apologize where and if you need to, and then you keep moving forward to become a better man.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: But honestly, you examine the criticism and you determine is it false?
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Well, then throw it away.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And if their opinion doesn't help you identify yourself in the way that's gonna carry you forward, well, just push it out because they are gonna repeat it loudly, and ideally, you're gonna put yourself in a position to win regardless.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: The next step is can you personally refuse to become like the person attacking you?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Here's the greatest lesson is that you're on your own journey and your journey is gonna be on a road that so many entrepreneurs are struggle with because typically they're not surrounded by other entrepreneurs.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And here you are on your island.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: And it's easy for things to be talked about when everything's going well, but characters are revealed when someone says things, right?
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Lies and other opportunities that they try to destroy your journey.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Entrepreneurship is tough.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: It is very tough.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: It's tough because you're out there on an island trying to do something that hasn't been done before.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: You're trying to set the narrative, you know, turn the page for you and your family, right?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Do something new, step outside the box, and there's no exact route and steps to do it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: And the safe path for which others think is that you get that nine to five and you go to work and you do this until you get promoted to the next step, and eventually you become a vice president.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And that life allows you to get the life that they want, not you want.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: This isn't the strength.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: This is the gained control of you trying to listen to a message that comes from someone that's not on your journey.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Live 100 is about continuing to live by the standards that you've set for yourself, even when others abandon theirs.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Your values, you can't depend on how other people treat you.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: You have to go and be disciplined to yourself.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean that you disappear when you feel you get disrespected.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: It just means that you have to understand your mission because when times get tough and trials and tribulations pop up, the most powerful response and consistency in your action.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: You keep showing up for your family, you keep showing up for your spouse, you keep showing up for uh your body, you serve your team, you handle your commitments, and you continue to build something meaningful.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: You are gonna have tough days, but you don't need to go out there and try to prove people wrong with some emotional speech.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: You need to get back to basics of just saying that each day, I'm going to get better little by little.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: And when I look back a decade from now, I'm gonna be so far past my life of where it stands today that I'm not even gonna be able to recognize it.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Eventually, your life, it becomes the evidence of all the things you're trying to detest or deter from other people saying.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And the ones who are around you supporting you, they are there for you to help you get to the other side, even if they don't understand your message.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: So lean on them, allow them to go and give you the approval and then find the approval in yourself.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: You need to have alignment with your steps to understand that your vision is going to be difficult.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: But if you clearly get in your mind, the ability for you to go out there and focus and find the Lib 100 that you're meant to live is astronomical.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: So your challenge, understand the path in front of you is going to be rocky and turbulent.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: But the other side of it is the greatness that you're looking for.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Identify the people that are in your circle right now that are there to help build you up.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And potentially the ones that, and you don't have to get rid of family or or friends, is that what I'm saying?
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: But potentially there's other people in your circle that maybe you don't put so much weight in their opinions or their actions because you know maybe, maybe they love you and they think they're giving you good advice, but maybe their weight and their their opinions is not set for your path.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: Go out there and be the great person you are.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Live the life that's honestly your response to all the actions you're taking.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: And understand that when you look back on this day, you can use this as a turning point where you change the narrative and you build something great.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Or you look back at this as the time that things got tough.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: And instead of showing up and understanding that this is just part of the journey, these are the building blocks.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: You've retracted and you gave up.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: But not here, not you.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: This is your journey.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: You're here, meant to go.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Four three two one go.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: This is the Living Windows Podcast.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: I'm Jason Russi.
