- 0:46Speaker 3: hours that are open in the middle, which I can
- 0:48Speaker 3: go now they're not and I gotta go to a
- 0:50Speaker 3: Bobby cast in like thirty minutes.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Do you get that behind the both arms?
- 0:54Speaker 3: It's two in one arm, one in the other arm. Oh,
- 0:57Speaker 3: we were at Floris Say yesterday. You'll get to hear
- 0:59Speaker 3: the interview and watch the episode.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Was awesome. It was awesome. I want to go back.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It was our best, most fun place to go. I mean,
- 1:06Speaker 3: we worked out with softball team and the basketball team,
- 1:07Speaker 3: but they the bags they gave us. Then they gave
- 1:10Speaker 3: us a bunch of like gear. Which schools are so
- 1:15Speaker 3: generous with their gear. What I liked about Florida State
- 1:18Speaker 3: was one It was all good stuff, but they left
- 1:19Speaker 3: the price tags on so we can know how much
- 1:20Speaker 3: we really get. Yeah, that's allways cool shirt. It was
- 1:24Speaker 3: eighty five bucks on their tat on the tag of it.
- 1:28Speaker 4: That's a sweatshirt. That's really nice. You should have one. Okay,
- 1:31Speaker 4: I haven't looked at my bag yet. That's a medium, Mike,
- 1:34Speaker 4: do on it?
- 1:34Speaker 6: I got one?
- 1:35Speaker 4: Oh you bag? Yeah, Kevin, what are you an XL?
- 1:38Speaker 5: No, I can sometimes a large tube of medium.
- 1:41Speaker 7: No way, Like you know, he doesn't realize that he
- 1:43Speaker 7: can wear a medium and just a little snug, you know,
- 1:45Speaker 7: fitted you can see the muscles into that.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Okay, well it's there. I come on, and they the
- 1:51Speaker 4: backpacks had the tag on it. How much was backpack?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Those are sweet?
- 1:54Speaker 4: Seventy dollars. I'm gona give it this to your kids though.
- 1:56Speaker 7: It's funny. It's funny you say that because I told
- 1:58Speaker 7: my son. I'm like, hey, look, look, well we got you.
- 2:00Speaker 7: I got you this bag or whatever, because he said
- 2:02Speaker 7: has an Arkansas one too, and he goes, oh, it's
- 2:05Speaker 7: so cool that I love it.
- 2:06Speaker 4: He's like, but I don't think I can wear that
- 2:07Speaker 4: to school. I'm like, why not?
- 2:09Speaker 7: Because when I wore the Arkansas one, I got so
- 2:11Speaker 7: much crap and everyone saying like, oh, you're an Arkansas
- 2:13Speaker 7: fan now, and he's like, yeah, I'm an Arkansas fan.
- 2:15Speaker 7: He's like, now if I wear a Florida State when,
- 2:16Speaker 7: they're gonna be like, oh, you're a Florida State fan now.
- 2:18Speaker 4: And I'm like, that's so funny. I didn't realize that
- 2:20Speaker 4: you need to stay with Arkansas.
- 2:21Speaker 7: So he's like, I'll make that my basketball bag, but
- 2:24Speaker 7: this will be my school.
- 2:25Speaker 5: I get that at the gym with the clothes I wear. Yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 5: they're like, oh Arkansas, wait Auburn.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I'm like no, no, no, no, I don't understand. No no,
- 2:31Speaker 4: no no, no, yeah, understand. We get it all free.
- 2:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 5: They're like, oh that's cool.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I'm like yeah, exactly, okay, so this was gonna pull out.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I haven't done any of those breaks. I did one.
- 2:43Speaker 4: We were on the flight, yes, ready together, I did
- 2:45Speaker 4: one just for fun. It was just yesterday. Man. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 4: you're like, I haven't done an. I'm dying.
- 2:49Speaker 8: Man, I'm dying.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I didn't do one for like nine days, eight days
- 2:52Speaker 3: something like that.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Like you're like Kevin, He's like, man, I haven't drank
- 2:55Speaker 7: since well, I drank a little bit yesterday.
- 2:56Speaker 3: It's the only one that I've done was yesterday and
- 2:59Speaker 3: like almost two weeks, so I've had to stop doing them.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But I'm getting this stuff in the mail now because
- 3:03Speaker 3: we had like a holiday, and but I did win yesterday,
- 3:07Speaker 3: which was awesome because the one break you guys are
- 3:09Speaker 3: with me on dorm Dude's Break.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Dorm Dude, dorm.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Dud's Break, YEP, I want an Amari Cooper signed jersey
- 3:16Speaker 3: and there was no cheating.
- 3:17Speaker 4: They didn't know.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I just said to the AFC North Boom they got
- 3:21Speaker 3: I want. I don't know what i'mnna do with the jersey.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I have nothing to do with. So a couple of
- 3:25Speaker 3: stories I want to tell. I guess I have been
- 3:30Speaker 3: a part of the growth of whatever dorm Dude's Break is,
- 3:35Speaker 3: and that sometimes there's so many listeners that go and go.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I found this out because of Bobby one wanted Tom
- 3:39Speaker 3: Brady signed helmet yesterday because I got in the room
- 3:42Speaker 3: and he was like, I'm only here because I knew,
- 3:43Speaker 3: and I just wanted Tom Brady signed helmet.
- 3:45Speaker 4: And I was like, God, that's awesome, you wish.
- 3:49Speaker 3: And so every once in a while they'll send me
- 3:51Speaker 3: my stuff, they send me something free as well. And
- 3:53Speaker 3: so they sent me a jersey and I'm Eddie, don't
- 3:56Speaker 3: say what the jersey is because I want the other
- 3:57Speaker 3: two guys to hear and stuff.
- 3:58Speaker 4: They can guess. They sent me.
- 4:00Speaker 3: First of all, they sent me two jerseys that I
- 4:02Speaker 3: haven't won that are free signed. One was Traylon Burks
- 4:05Speaker 3: and you know why they sent me the Titans. Traylon
- 4:07Speaker 3: Burks Arkansas. He's from Arkansas. So they sent me another
- 4:10Speaker 3: one and I had it on my table in the kitchen,
- 4:12Speaker 3: just laid out.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And one of our close friends, my wife and I.
- 4:17Speaker 3: One of our close friends is a vet and she
- 4:19Speaker 3: was over working out with my wife yesterday because we're
- 4:22Speaker 3: all friends.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Her name is Josie.
- 4:23Speaker 3: She comes on the show sometime and Josie was walking
- 4:26Speaker 3: to the house and sees the jersey and is like.
- 4:28Speaker 4: What why is that even here? Named that jersey.
- 4:33Speaker 3: She was triggered by it. Yeah, named that jersey ray Rice. Okay,
- 4:43Speaker 3: quality guest because ray Rice was Watson accused. Okay, so
- 4:49Speaker 3: that's been good. Yeah, oh, Jay Simpson, none of those. Okay,
- 4:52Speaker 3: I think use some context clues here. Her name is Josie,
- 4:56Speaker 3: she's coming to work out.
- 4:58Speaker 4: She's a vet.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Oh duh. There it is right there.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Mike Vick's Michael. He said, I'm like, Michael jersey sign
- 5:10Speaker 4: and she was.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Like, oh, he's terrible, And I was like, you know what,
- 5:13Speaker 3: you know, you're right. I'm not going to keep that
- 5:15Speaker 3: one out.
- 5:16Speaker 4: You didn't give it to her? Did you burn it?
- 5:18Speaker 8: No?
- 5:18Speaker 4: No, he's still.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I mean it's out right now because she didn't do
- 5:21Speaker 3: until she left. But it's pretty it's pretty cool. Mike
- 5:23Speaker 3: like vic Yeah, but that that was the jersey there.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So this is the other thing that I told you
- 5:29Speaker 3: guys I want. This is a Terry McLaurin signed Funko.
- 5:34Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 5:35Speaker 4: What is that like a bobblehead? It's a funko, you know,
- 5:38Speaker 4: But I think I haven't opened it.
- 5:40Speaker 3: But the weird thing is I think he signed the
- 5:42Speaker 3: box and not the funko, because I guess they.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Don't you keep him in the box. I have some
- 5:47Speaker 6: of those.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Why would I do that?
- 5:49Speaker 6: I have a post Malone one I've never taken out
- 5:51Speaker 6: of the box.
- 5:51Speaker 3: But why would I keep it? He signed the box?
- 5:53Speaker 3: I wanted to take it and put it out here?
- 5:55Speaker 3: What about my sign many helmets? Do I leave them
- 5:57Speaker 3: in the case?
- 5:58Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 5:58Speaker 6: Leave those in the package.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Man, It's always better if you leave them in the package, right, Mike?
- 6:02Speaker 3: For what though, I would get more enjoyment out of
- 6:04Speaker 3: it than if I sold it for seventy dollars if
- 6:06Speaker 3: it were out.
- 6:07Speaker 9: If it's just for you, yes, but if you're going
- 6:09Speaker 9: to like resell it or have it as a collector's item,
- 6:11Speaker 9: you don't want to take it out of the box
- 6:12Speaker 9: and you want it signed there.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I have like five of those and they're all out
- 6:15Speaker 5: of the box.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Are they signed?
- 6:17Speaker 8: No?
- 6:17Speaker 4: I do have a post One one too, But collect
- 6:20Speaker 4: bunkos bunkos?
- 6:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I a pop I have a bunch, yeah, yes.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Chris Stapleton couple of Tom Brady Drew Bloodso wow.
- 6:26Speaker 4: You're not funko pop culture?
- 6:27Speaker 3: No?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Man, me either, really, but I know about them.
- 6:30Speaker 3: But they just pulled this out and I had picked
- 6:32Speaker 3: the nfcas trying to get some cowboy stuff, which I
- 6:34Speaker 3: just almost not a lot of cowboys, but I want
- 6:37Speaker 3: the term mclauren signed funk.
- 6:39Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 6:41Speaker 4: That ain't nothing yet is that one of the desk
- 6:43Speaker 4: for now? I'd give it.
- 6:44Speaker 3: As I think I might want to pull it out
- 6:47Speaker 3: of the case though, Okay, pretty cool.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Now what's in Bobby's bag?
- 6:56Speaker 4: I haven't reached into the bag. I don't know anything
- 6:58Speaker 4: about cards.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I don't buy cards because I just don't know enough
- 7:03Speaker 3: about them.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I know what happened. So I got into this.
- 7:08Speaker 3: They were like, oh, it's the first time this has
- 7:09Speaker 3: ever been released by Leaf, the company Leaf, and you
- 7:14Speaker 3: guys should can probably come look at this. But they're
- 7:16Speaker 3: not just cards. And I was like, I don't know
- 7:18Speaker 3: what it is, but why not, I'm here to taino.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So I bid, right, not bid? I picked a random number.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It's like one through thirty.
- 7:25Speaker 4: How much to get in it? Twenty bucks or something.
- 7:29Speaker 3: But and what they do is a serial number, so
- 7:31Speaker 3: the serial number of the card if you're the one
- 7:35Speaker 3: that picked that number, because they don't make anything more
- 7:38Speaker 3: than thirty of them something like that.
- 7:40Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, I'll take let me see
- 7:43Speaker 4: what this is.
- 7:45Speaker 1: One.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I took one because I was like, oh, first one up,
- 7:47Speaker 3: I'll take it, So I take one. I gotta be
- 7:49Speaker 3: careful with this. It's not actually just a card. You
- 7:52Speaker 3: open it and inside I have game worn jersey pieces
- 7:56Speaker 3: from the card is called nineteen seventy seven. I have
- 7:59Speaker 3: game more in jersey clips of the different people of Pistol,
- 8:03Speaker 3: Pete Bill Walden. Now I don't really think about hockey
- 8:08Speaker 3: win Gretzky, bjorn this is tennis bjorn Berg Tennis.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I've heard that name, Gary Lafleur. Don't know what sports
- 8:15Speaker 4: that is. Oh wait, I know, Matt, I got it.
- 8:18Speaker 3: No NHL Heart Trophy winner, Gary Lafleur, Wimbledon champion, biorn Berg.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I have Rod Carew obviously, Eddie Murray, Andre Dawson.
- 8:33Speaker 4: That's awesome. Fair players ever, Harold.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Baines, Ernie Banks, Wow, Don Sutton. They're all parts of
- 8:41Speaker 3: their jersey game warn jerseys. This is all Hall of
- 8:44Speaker 3: Famers nineteen seventy seven. It's called uh. You have received
- 8:51Speaker 3: a memorabilia card from Leaf Trading Cards. On the inside
- 8:52Speaker 3: of the card pieces of game use memorabilia. I don't
- 8:55Speaker 3: know if they all Hall of famers or not. But
- 8:56Speaker 3: they're all have some big warp. But yeah, I gotta
- 8:58Speaker 3: be super careful with that.
- 8:59Speaker 4: But it's all their freaking game War in Jerseys.
- 9:02Speaker 5: I didn't even know that was a thing.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I didn't need.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It's brand new, h I've been told so I won
- 9:06Speaker 3: this and I was like.
- 9:07Speaker 4: This is a gross thing over let me hop in again.
- 9:11Speaker 3: I didn't want them all, but I have a couple
- 9:13Speaker 3: other ones if you guys want to go through them.
- 9:15Speaker 4: This one is not Game warn Jersey. But this one.
- 9:18Speaker 3: When they opened it, they said it's called the book Club,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and I'm like, what the heck is book club?
- 9:22Speaker 4: Then you open it and it's a I don't know
- 9:25Speaker 4: what this one is. By the way, I was just
- 9:27Speaker 4: gonna get lunchbox. Thisay is soccer.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I picked the number seven and they only made twelve
- 9:30Speaker 3: of these in total production. These are all soccer players.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I've never heard of any of them, but they all signed.
- 9:36Speaker 3: There's eight soccer signatures. There's It's not like Messy. I
- 9:43Speaker 3: would know those guys. Idiot alex I would know that

- 12:14Speaker 4: It's seven of twelve. Yeah. That one I got with
- 12:17Speaker 4: the jersey's is one of one.
- 12:18Speaker 9: So imagine you can only make so many of those.
- 12:20Speaker 9: That's really rare.
- 12:21Speaker 4: So bones that those are autographs, h that's cool? Yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 4: not fake ones, no real autograph. Yeah, they all signed

- 12:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know if that's the case.
- 12:36Speaker 3: But what do you mean I think that, I mean
- 12:40Speaker 3: the soccer one.
- 12:41Speaker 9: The status of all those people, and and you're talking
- 12:44Speaker 9: at global you're taking seventy seven yearbook though.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's just that's big in America. Though. This one,
- 12:50Speaker 4: like you can bid all across the.
- 12:51Speaker 5: World for globally bab and it's all relevant.
- 12:55Speaker 6: You're paid in bitcoin.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna call my text of my friend who knows
- 12:59Speaker 3: soccer is from England?
- 13:01Speaker 4: Are any of these people any good?

- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Keep going.
- 13:11Speaker 3: This one is called an autobiography and it's Steph Curry.
- 13:17Speaker 3: So it's Steph. It's a book on the front. Then
- 13:21Speaker 3: you open it and it tells you the little story
- 13:23Speaker 3: about Steph and he signed it.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Wow.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Yeah, careful, don't touch that. Wow that's cool man.
- 13:31Speaker 5: What are these things?
- 13:32Speaker 4: I've never seen that little booklets?
- 13:34Speaker 5: Yeah, they're like growing up, like.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It's the first year leaf apparently, like I know, I
- 13:37Speaker 3: don't think about cards. So the research is a little
- 13:40Speaker 3: bit I've done. First year leaf's ever made these. And
- 13:43Speaker 3: then my final one, it's called a history book, and
- 13:48Speaker 3: they're in these cases. In this one says it says
- 13:51Speaker 3: congratulations you ever seed an autographed card from Leaf Trading
- 13:54Speaker 3: Cards on the card of your find out. So this one,
- 13:56Speaker 3: like the soccer one, remember this is a try. This
- 13:59Speaker 3: has nine autographs with their picture. I can tell who
- 14:03Speaker 3: they all are.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Yeah, so you guys see all this?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, here are the people on there. Ricky Henderson outfield,
- 14:10Speaker 3: oh base, Deealer, Craig Biggio second base, Knkrafey Jr. Outfield,
- 14:16Speaker 3: it's pretty good.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Mike Schmidt third base, This is amazing. Calken Jr.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Shortstop, Miguel Cabrera, d H Johnny bench catcher. Wow, Jeff
- 14:27Speaker 3: Bagwell first base. Wow, Sammy Sosa outfield. It's like their
- 14:31Speaker 3: line the lineup.
- 14:32Speaker 4: What on earth, dude, that's amazing.
- 14:34Speaker 5: That's pretty cool too.
- 14:35Speaker 4: It's like all their real autographs in there.
- 14:38Speaker 6: So I found a comparable one.
- 14:40Speaker 9: Now this one is how many are on the soccer.
- 14:42Speaker 4: One, seven twelve.
- 14:44Speaker 9: There's one with eight, but one of them happens to
- 14:46Speaker 9: be Ronaldo. Oh, that one's gonna be crazy and it's
- 14:48Speaker 9: going for fifteen hundred.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so this one's probably four or five hundred bucks. Then, yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 3: I think it just came out like it just started to.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe give it a little time.
- 14:57Speaker 6: It's an investment piece, right there.
- 15:01Speaker 4: I sent it to my friend Paul. I said, are
- 15:03Speaker 4: they any good? And he replied, yes, all those guys, yes,
- 15:06Speaker 4: they're all good. Okay, but are those cool?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah? That's different.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I stopped, he stopped doing breaks and except for one,
- 15:16Speaker 3: except for one, I just did it because you guys
- 15:17Speaker 3: are watching.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Why don't you guys feel some fun? Okay? But I
- 15:19Speaker 4: have no idea what I'm doing with all the jerseys
- 15:20Speaker 4: and stuff. I have no idea.
- 15:21Speaker 5: You know how many?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I like ten or something.
- 15:24Speaker 9: You're a social breaker now, well, I told we're gonna
- 15:27Speaker 9: vestca how to do it?
- 15:27Speaker 7: Our social breaker? I only I only break in social drinks.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Kept Eddie, this is year back.
- 15:35Speaker 10: Okay, cool, leave it there, I'll get that. I'm gonna
- 15:37Speaker 10: throw it there, thank you man. Okay, So did that?
- 15:43Speaker 10: Is there anything else I wanted to get to? I
- 15:49Speaker 10: know we have the interview we're gonna do here, but
- 15:50Speaker 10: I think that's probably.
- 15:51Speaker 4: It for now.
- 15:52Speaker 3: We still don't know if when the show is coming back.
- 15:55Speaker 3: We can do it whenever. We can always take it
- 15:56Speaker 3: and go go independent two.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah, what does that mean? Hey, what does that mean?
- 16:06Speaker 4: It sounds cool, though exactly ever heard of it? B
- 16:09Speaker 4: YU Notre Dame. Yeah, independent.
- 16:15Speaker 3: If because DraftKings doesn't do a bunch during just baseball
- 16:20Speaker 3: and basketball, because it's not really a big gambling no
- 16:22Speaker 3: March Madness. A little bit during March Madness, and we'll
- 16:24Speaker 3: probably do something. But my point is we could always
- 16:27Speaker 3: take this and put it on the Nashville Podcast Network
- 16:29Speaker 3: and then just make money up on it as a podcast.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Because we don't do that. DraftKings just pays us to
- 16:34Speaker 3: do the show. We can always do that if we
- 16:36Speaker 3: wanted to keep doing this.
- 16:38Speaker 4: But I don't know what we're gonna do yet. Have
- 16:40Speaker 4: my people contact your people and won't do it that way?
- 16:42Speaker 5: Our people can people to ye, yeah, I haven't call you.
- 16:46Speaker 4: That's that's my my son, my oldest son.
- 16:48Speaker 6: That's at each other.
- 16:49Speaker 4: So I'll trade them one bag. He's like, deal, I
- 16:54Speaker 4: guess that. Oh, oh, I didn't the big thing.
- 16:58Speaker 3: This is a big thing, so what Oh I knew
- 17:01Speaker 3: there's a reason I wanted to do this ship.
- 17:02Speaker 4: What what are you doing? You're giving me the CD
- 17:04Speaker 4: LAMB helmet?
- 17:05Speaker 8: This is it?
- 17:06Speaker 4: I knew it get into me, Mike, the patience. This
- 17:10Speaker 4: is great. Okay, it was that dude. It's a box.
- 17:14Speaker 4: What's in there? Bacon? Well, this is the whole point
- 17:16Speaker 4: of the bit.
- 17:19Speaker 3: That's like out my wife, I'll have a gift at present.
- 17:21Speaker 3: I've wrapped and I was, okay, this is your gift.
- 17:23Speaker 4: What's in it? You can open it. It's the experience
- 17:26Speaker 4: of opening it. I knew this is what I want
- 17:29Speaker 4: to do. Okay, thank you.
- 17:32Speaker 3: So we just finished our second season of twenty five
- 17:34Speaker 3: Whistles and I went online and I ordered paid for these.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Mike, can you walk in there? Here we get a
- 17:45Speaker 4: little some of this we can do. Put on the camera. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 4: come on in, Mike. So what they are.
- 17:50Speaker 3: It's a box and it's a gold whistle.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So pretty.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Your name's in great all right, put this in the trash.
- 17:58Speaker 3: This goes. I don't want to touch them. We get fingerprints
- 18:01Speaker 3: on him. But it says on the top of the
- 18:03Speaker 3: box twenty five whistles Day the whistles are made of gold.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Ho we the gold amazon it. I got the golden whistle.
- 18:13Speaker 4: So there you go. That's really cool, dude.
- 18:16Speaker 5: I'm gonna get mine.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Eddie, hold on, let me.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Just let me pull him out in order, and it
- 18:20Speaker 3: says on the inside on the mirror, twenty of Whistles
- 18:22Speaker 3: twenty twenty four.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Wow, this is Eddie. You can blow the first golden whistle. Okay,
- 18:35Speaker 4: I got the gold whistle.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Dang, that's legit.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Yeah, a little cover too, well, how about that? Trust me?
- 18:46Speaker 4: That ain't what I paid the most for. Hey, is
- 18:49Speaker 4: this real gold man? Yeah, of course, I don't know.
- 18:53Speaker 3: I know I bought one, two three, I bought six
- 18:56Speaker 3: of them and it was a few thousand dollars.
- 18:59Speaker 8: Wow.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah, look at this thing. This is me. Oh yeah,
- 19:04Speaker 4: I've got my name on it. It's got a ball
- 19:06Speaker 4: in there. Dude, this is gonna blow.
- 19:08Speaker 6: It's a diamond.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Don't you know what? It looks like a pearl in there.
- 19:16Speaker 4: N I forgot Kevin.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Oh I know you can't read one too. I did, Kevin.
- 19:23Speaker 3: This is yours, all right, dude, this is going in
- 19:27Speaker 3: the office.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah, go, thank you. And then I think this is read.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I'll give this to read today. So this slip, this
- 19:38Speaker 4: thing would just take out. Yeah, I take it out, man. Yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 4: and that's read you want? If the whistle even works, Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 4: I'm about to blow right now, like, let me do
- 19:45Speaker 4: it ahead. We're not ending the show, but go ahead.
- 19:48Speaker 4: It may not even work be a real whistle. It's
- 19:51Speaker 4: a little I mean, I need to break it in
- 19:52Speaker 4: and you break it in. But it works. Dude, this
- 19:55Speaker 4: is so cool again. Okay, I love that.
- 20:00Speaker 6: It sounds luxurious.
- 20:01Speaker 4: It does. It sounds rich.
- 20:04Speaker 6: A shirt.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Okay, so we gotes. What is the saying on the
- 20:09Speaker 7: top there? What's up like right on top of the whistle?
- 20:12Speaker 7: Let me give my camera. I can't see that.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Says your name, and then it says I think it
- 20:16Speaker 4: may be like.
- 20:17Speaker 6: The American classic.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah, the place I had to like go and have
- 20:22Speaker 3: it made.
- 20:22Speaker 4: It's like a little seal. That's really cool. Thank you, dude, welcome,
- 20:27Speaker 4: thank you.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Who's who do you think the only person I got
- 20:29Speaker 3: one that's not on the show, because I got I
- 20:33Speaker 3: bought six of them.
- 20:33Speaker 4: I got you one too because it's awesome.
- 20:36Speaker 3: But there's five of us because read video is not
- 20:39Speaker 3: here right now do the ski the last minute. Who's
- 20:41Speaker 3: the one person I got one for that's not on
- 20:43Speaker 3: the show.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Kevin Legrette.
- 20:46Speaker 7: He doesn't know it yet, but yeah, that's really good.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Hey, Mike also got Mike Vick before Kevin did I think,
- 20:54Speaker 3: didn't you? Yeah, he knew, he didn't say it. I
- 20:56Speaker 3: can tell we know each other's eyes.
- 20:59Speaker 8: All right.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Let me set the the uh, let me set the
- 21:04Speaker 4: intro up.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Here's our sit down with Arkansas men's basketball coach Eric Musselman.
- 21:09Speaker 4: You can check out the full Too.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Much Access episode It's up to it too Much Access
- 21:15Speaker 3: dot com musterin Arkansas became the fourth program ever to
- 21:17Speaker 3: defeat the number one seeds in the region of back
- 21:18Speaker 3: to back years in CAA tournament. Eleven players in the
- 21:21Speaker 3: NBA since twenty nineteen. Like the winningest coach in the
- 21:25Speaker 3: SEC since he joined.
- 21:26Speaker 5: He's so cool.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he's awesome. That we're not having good year this year,
- 21:28Speaker 3: but awesome. So we'll do that and here he is
- 21:32Speaker 3: and we'll get with the player after this. Coach. I
- 21:34Speaker 3: have a friend who's a SEC ref, and I asked him,
- 21:37Speaker 3: I said, hey, say say a word.
- 21:39Speaker 4: About coach, you know.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Uh, uh, well, it depends which ref it was.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I don't eve want to sell a ref was because
- 21:44Speaker 3: it didn't for the sake of this. Uh, what do
- 21:48Speaker 3: you think the refs would say about you?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Intense?
- 21:52Speaker 3: That's the exact word. He used, Wow, he does like
- 21:54Speaker 3: you a lot. Well, that's a good thing. I agree,
- 21:56Speaker 3: it's like selfishly, I agree, So I'm worried about that
- 21:59Speaker 3: sometimes he said that, you know, this ref has different
- 22:03Speaker 3: relationships with different coaches, Like, are there referees that you
- 22:06Speaker 3: have relationships with that you know, we'll know you, but
- 22:09Speaker 3: we'll call your crap out quicker because they know you
- 22:11Speaker 3: and have a relationship with you thousand percent.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You know. I think that.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Like a big part of the referee's job is to
- 22:18Speaker 2: try to manage not just the players, but also the coaches.
- 22:21Speaker 2: And certainly you know you have different rapports with different
- 22:25Speaker 2: refs for sure, just as you know in life.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Is it ever theater when you're big and bold and
- 22:33Speaker 3: you're waving your arms? Are you ever doing it? So
- 22:35Speaker 3: that statement is made almost like a manager with an
- 22:38Speaker 3: umpire or is it always? Is that what your heart's saying?
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's what my heart's Otherwise I wouldn't take my shirt
- 22:43Speaker 2: off after a big win out. I mean that that
- 22:45Speaker 2: definitely wouldn't happen. It's just pure emotion with me.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Does the shirt off? And you brought it up and
- 22:51Speaker 3: I've been to the gate two of the games, maybe
- 22:53Speaker 3: both the games. So we take a shirt off. But
- 22:55Speaker 3: I was in Iowa it was freezing, and we beat Kansas,
- 22:58Speaker 3: one of the coolest games I've ever been too. And
- 23:01Speaker 3: you took a shirt off, and then other people start
- 23:03Speaker 3: taking their shirt off in the crowd, and I grabbed
- 23:05Speaker 3: the bottom of I was gonna do it. I was like,
- 23:06Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do it. I can't. I can't do that,
- 23:08Speaker 3: but like, you almost inspire me. Didn't want to make everyone,
- 23:11Speaker 3: you know, I just here's what I thought. Two things. One,
- 23:13Speaker 3: I thought, coach in good shape. I thought that, yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 3: because you took a shirt off the same thing, coach,
- 23:16Speaker 3: and I was like, look at that. Then secondly, I thought, man,
- 23:20Speaker 3: the games have to get bigger for him to take
- 23:22Speaker 3: a shirt off now, like it has to continuously be bigger.
- 23:25Speaker 3: But it's never gonna.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Why I dat my shirt on after the Duke game,
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah good? And it will never be the pants, never
- 23:32Speaker 2: be the pants National Championship.
- 23:34Speaker 3: It's all of it. It's a tear away to all
- 23:37Speaker 3: of it, and it's just him. The first time you
- 23:41Speaker 3: did that, where did that come from?
- 23:42Speaker 2: We actually did it at Nevada in the locker room
- 23:45Speaker 2: after the game and my wife wrote Mountain West Champs
- 23:49Speaker 2: on my stomach.
- 23:50Speaker 1: That was like how it first started.
- 23:52Speaker 2: One of the players you know, told me they didn't
- 23:56Speaker 2: think I would do it if we won pregame, and
- 23:59Speaker 2: I did it.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Your players, it's interesting the relationships that you have with
- 24:02Speaker 3: them because a lot of these guys, if you look
- 24:05Speaker 3: at last year, you had three kids go to the NBA,
- 24:08Speaker 3: So that's a that's a quick relationship. You're there whenever
- 24:12Speaker 3: they come to school here and they're a five star kid,
- 24:14Speaker 3: if it's you know, if it's Nick or whomever it is,
- 24:17Speaker 3: is the goal to get them to the NBA within
- 24:20Speaker 3: a after a year. And with some kids is a
- 24:22Speaker 3: different like how to be honest with you, get two
- 24:24Speaker 3: or three years, I can get you in the NBA.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I think every you know, player has his own kind
- 24:28Speaker 2: of race. But certainly for the three that we're here
- 24:32Speaker 2: for eight and a half months, Jordan Walsh and Nick
- 24:35Speaker 2: Smith and Anthony Black, the goal certainly was get you
- 24:38Speaker 2: to the NBA as quick as we possibly can. Try
- 24:41Speaker 2: to help the draft stock, you know, as much as
- 24:44Speaker 2: we can. And they all got drafted in different ranges.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Anthony Black a lottery pick, Nick Smith late first, Jordan
- 24:51Speaker 2: Walsh in the second round, and so their path moving
- 24:55Speaker 2: forward could be different as well. And on a different timeline.
- 24:59Speaker 3: We ever turn on a Celtics if Jordan's playing, like
- 25:01Speaker 3: you used to keep up with the.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Guys if you can thousand percent, I mean, and with
- 25:04Speaker 2: Jordan right now, most of his minutes of coming in
- 25:08Speaker 2: in the G League with Maine. So I'll watch those games,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and for sure I have NBA packet. I can tell
- 25:15Speaker 2: you every play that the Orlando Magic run because Anthony
- 25:18Speaker 2: Black starting in the last like eight or nine games.
- 25:21Speaker 2: So I watch every second of every Orlando game and
- 25:24Speaker 2: if we're playing that same night, I'll tape it and
- 25:27Speaker 2: watch it when I get home.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Is it tough to have a kid that maybe on
- 25:30Speaker 3: the border, on the borderline of leaving or not leaving,
- 25:33Speaker 3: and for you to have to go you need to go,
- 25:35Speaker 3: because I'm sure you've done that before. But because that,
- 25:37Speaker 3: like Macro, better for the program and better for the
- 25:39Speaker 3: kid than selfishly keeping a kid back.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt, you know, And
- 25:44Speaker 2: I didn't really have a part of his decision. But
- 25:46Speaker 2: a guy like Jalen Williams after sophomore year. He and
- 25:49Speaker 2: his family made that decision, and it turned out to
- 25:52Speaker 2: be a great decision. You look at him in hindsight now,
- 25:54Speaker 2: he got to start a lot of games last year.
- 25:57Speaker 2: He's in his second year. He's a big contributor. He's
- 25:59Speaker 2: got great reputation as a great locker room guy, and
- 26:03Speaker 2: he's producing on the floor. I think probably the toughest
- 26:06Speaker 2: decision that I've been a part of was the Martin
- 26:08Speaker 2: Twins at Nevada. They came back for an extra year
- 26:11Speaker 2: after being on draft boards, but it worked out really
- 26:14Speaker 2: well for them. And then certainly Isaiah Joe was a
- 26:17Speaker 2: tough decision. He decided to come back. It was during
- 26:20Speaker 2: COVID and then he was like, I don't even know
- 26:22Speaker 2: if there's gonna be a college season, I better go.
- 26:24Speaker 2: And that turned out to be a great decision for
- 26:26Speaker 2: Isaiah as well.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Do you ever see when you watch game tape if
- 26:31Speaker 3: you see you? Do you ever see your dad when
- 26:32Speaker 3: you see you like your manner? Because I honestly like
- 26:36Speaker 3: watching a lot of your dad coach and watching like
- 26:40Speaker 3: old NBA films, there's a lot there like nature, not
- 26:44Speaker 3: even nurture, like you automatically have some of his mannerisms
- 26:47Speaker 3: on the side, it's wild. Do you ever see that yourself?
- 26:50Speaker 1: No question?
- 26:50Speaker 2: And if I don't see it, my mom will point
- 26:53Speaker 2: it out, my sister will pointed out. But maybe the
- 26:57Speaker 2: people that pointed out the most, or my dad's friends
- 26:59Speaker 2: that are still living. I get emails from several of
- 27:02Speaker 2: those guys, and a lot of his former players will say, hey,
- 27:05Speaker 2: your reaction to this or you know you're celebrated, Like, yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 2: I hear it all the times.
- 27:10Speaker 1: A coach.
- 27:11Speaker 11: I have so many questions about the diet coke, like
- 27:14Speaker 11: does it do you buy it when you get to
- 27:17Speaker 11: the arena? Do you bring it with you? Like is
- 27:20Speaker 11: there someone that gets it for you? What's it for?
- 27:23Speaker 11: Like why do you have the diet coke?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Well, definitely it's already there waiting. Riley Hall brings it
- 27:28Speaker 2: from the locker room out there. I really don't drink
- 27:32Speaker 2: that much's it's it might be half of a bottle
- 27:35Speaker 2: in the first half because I just kind of sip
- 27:38Speaker 2: on it. I do, like I still get nervous, you know,
- 27:42Speaker 2: fifty nine years old, coached a lot of different places.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Every game, I have angst and so I need a
- 27:48Speaker 2: little bit of something in my mouth to you know,
- 27:52Speaker 2: so that my voice.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Stays pretty clear.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Do you still enjoy this?
- 27:56Speaker 2: I do, yeah, I'll tell I will say Bobby that
- 28:00Speaker 2: like when we win, it's the greatest thing in the
- 28:04Speaker 2: world to do this the losing, because I'm so miserable
- 28:09Speaker 2: after a loss. You know, at some point in life,
- 28:11Speaker 2: you know you don't want to have, you know, ten
- 28:14Speaker 2: miserable nights or whatever how many losses you have that year,
- 28:16Speaker 2: because it's I'm so miserable from the time we lose
- 28:20Speaker 2: until the time we get our next win. And you
- 28:23Speaker 2: know that part of it. I ten years ago, I
- 28:26Speaker 2: thought i'd be better at it as I got older,
- 28:28Speaker 2: I haven't gotten any better at it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I'm miserable too when we lose. Just so you know,
- 28:31Speaker 3: I'm glad you aren't, too, honestly, because if you'd be like,
- 28:33Speaker 3: you know, we'll get them next time. I feel good,
- 28:35Speaker 3: like I freaking want to eat my fist so and
- 28:39Speaker 3: I feel That's why.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I think I relate to this games. I really do,
- 28:42Speaker 1: because our fans are the greatest when we win. But
- 28:46Speaker 1: when we.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Lose, man, it's it's it's it's a tough job, you
- 28:49Speaker 2: know what I mean. Like I'm not going to a
- 28:51Speaker 2: restaurant anywhere. I'm gonna, you know, just stay at home.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I'm not going to go to a movie because our
- 28:57Speaker 2: fans have great passion, which is really cool because they
- 28:59Speaker 2: got high expectations, just like we do.
- 29:01Speaker 3: What's the best thing about college and what's the best
- 29:03Speaker 3: thing about NBA. The difference is between the two coaching.
- 29:06Speaker 2: And okay, so the best thing is NBA Rich Carlton
- 29:10Speaker 2: and NBA Perdam.
- 29:13Speaker 1: And the food and the food out of the charter.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Playing those three things I certainly miss, yes, because we're
- 29:18Speaker 2: not staying in any Rich Carletons. And then the other
- 29:21Speaker 2: thing I would say, in all honesty the fourth thing,
- 29:24Speaker 2: and I'm kind of joking.
- 29:25Speaker 1: But also serious. The cities.
- 29:28Speaker 2: You know, every city you go to, Like you go
- 29:30Speaker 2: to LA you're playing the Lakers, playing the Clippers. You
- 29:32Speaker 2: go to the Bay Area, you're playing the Golden State Warriors.
- 29:34Speaker 2: You go to Chicago, you're playing the Bulls. And so
- 29:37Speaker 2: the amount of friends that have moved to these big
- 29:40Speaker 2: cities or are close enough to the big cities, that's
- 29:44Speaker 2: really cool to be able to travel, you know, to
- 29:47Speaker 2: the thirty different cities and you're always leaving tickets on
- 29:50Speaker 2: the road as a road team for some friend that
- 29:52Speaker 2: you know in college. I don't have any friends in Tuscaloose.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I don't have any friends. When we go to Auburn,
- 29:57Speaker 2: I don't have any friends when we go to There
- 29:58Speaker 2: are no cities. I mean, my road tickets never get
- 30:04Speaker 2: used unless my family goes on a road trip. And
- 30:07Speaker 2: I will say, in all honesty that is that's a
- 30:09Speaker 2: big difference. And then on the floor, there's so many differences.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I mean, the way you sub because the game's eight
- 30:15Speaker 2: minutes longer in the NBA, you're playing eighty two games
- 30:18Speaker 2: as opposed to thirty. You got to rest your veterans.
- 30:20Speaker 1: A little bit more in the NBA.
- 30:23Speaker 2: And then you know, little things like just being able
- 30:26Speaker 2: to advance the ball on a time out late game.
- 30:29Speaker 2: In the NBA, you got to have great late game packages.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Men's college basketball, we can't advance it. Women's college basketball,
- 30:36Speaker 2: they can advance it. And then in college baseline, out
- 30:39Speaker 2: of bounds super important. In the NBA, your side out
- 30:43Speaker 2: of bounds, you better be really good offensively and defensively.
- 30:45Speaker 11: Coach I say that Coach Smart has become your holy
- 30:48Speaker 11: bat guy, you know, stepping out and being like oh, coach, coach,
- 30:50Speaker 11: back it up, back it up, We're gonna get a
- 30:52Speaker 11: t Do you tell them before the game, like, hey man,
- 30:55Speaker 11: just get in my face, don't don't let me do
- 30:56Speaker 11: anything stupid.
- 30:57Speaker 1: How does that go down?
- 30:58Speaker 4: I'll like.
- 31:01Speaker 2: If I'm about to like lose it sometimes I know,
- 31:04Speaker 2: and and sometimes I'll say like, hey, you know when
- 31:08Speaker 2: so and so walks back down here, like like be ready,
- 31:11Speaker 2: you know, cause I'm I'm gonna be if I'm sitting down,
- 31:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna be in a ject mode to you know,
- 31:16Speaker 2: to get out of my chair pretty quickly and and
- 31:19Speaker 2: give my thoughts on something. And my son Michael has
- 31:22Speaker 2: has kind of entered into the hold me back time,
- 31:26Speaker 2: you know. So it's now I have two people tag
- 31:28Speaker 2: team and trying to keep me out, you know, in
- 31:30Speaker 2: good graces.
- 31:31Speaker 7: Yeah, But at the the other day I kind of
- 31:32Speaker 7: saw you fighting with them, like are you telling them
- 31:34Speaker 7: like get your hands off me?
- 31:35Speaker 1: Like I got this most of the time.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Yeah, all right.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Final three questions. You've been around basketball for so long
- 31:42Speaker 3: a run all the big stars, so when you see
- 31:44Speaker 3: the Kobe Lebron, Michael Jordan, and you see the comparisons,
- 31:49Speaker 3: like where are you falling on that. Wow.
- 31:53Speaker 2: As far as like the greatest of all time, Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I have all these different categories and like greatest entertainer
- 32:00Speaker 2: of all time in my opinion, Magic Johnson, greatest competitor,
- 32:05Speaker 2: Michael Jordan, maybe biggest freak because he.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Can play one through five Lebron James.
- 32:12Speaker 2: So but if if someone said, hey, who is the greatest,
- 32:17Speaker 2: I'm going with Michael Jordan, I will say, like there's
- 32:20Speaker 2: a there's a small category of like who was really
- 32:23Speaker 2: really super.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Hard to game plan for?
- 32:25Speaker 2: Alan Iverson? Super hard to game plan for, Charles Barkley,
- 32:30Speaker 2: super hard to game plan for. So a lot of
- 32:34Speaker 2: a lot of great players in the history of the game,
- 32:37Speaker 2: and all superstars create this dilemma when you try to
- 32:42Speaker 2: figure out how to game plan against him.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Who is your biggest When you think the biggest headache
- 32:47Speaker 3: you're talking about game planning in it, it's just tough,
- 32:49Speaker 3: Like who had your number? What player had your number?
- 32:51Speaker 3: As a coach, you hated playing it because you knew
- 32:54Speaker 3: it probably wasn't gonna be good.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Wow, I know what coach had my number? And I
- 32:59Speaker 2: never ever want to ever coach against At any point
- 33:02Speaker 2: Huby Brown, and I would tell our staff like, hey,
- 33:05Speaker 2: if we're not up by at least seven points under
- 33:08Speaker 2: two minutes, we got no chance to beat Hube Brown
- 33:10Speaker 2: because he was.
- 33:11Speaker 1: So good late game.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I would say, you know, game plan wise, the hardest guy,
- 33:18Speaker 2: UH would would.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Probably be Kobe Bryant.
- 33:21Speaker 2: And what we tried to do with Kobe first half,
- 33:24Speaker 2: we send him to the left our first quarter, to
- 33:26Speaker 2: the left second quarter, to the right straight up in
- 33:30Speaker 2: the third and then whatever might have worked. We tried
- 33:32Speaker 2: to do that in the fourth quarter. But he was
- 33:35Speaker 2: so smart. I mean he he figured it out after
- 33:37Speaker 2: you play him once or twice.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Who's the best pure shooter you've ever coached college and NBA?
- 33:42Speaker 2: Best pure shooter, uh, A guy named Kendall Stevens at Nevada,
- 33:47Speaker 2: And I would say the next best would be Isaiah Joe.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Why Isia Joe?
- 33:51Speaker 3: I mean, he's taking it to the next level, the
- 33:52Speaker 3: next level. It's been unable every game he played here,
- 33:55Speaker 3: every game, and even I didn't see what he's doing
- 33:59Speaker 3: now there at that let even but even Jalen like
- 34:02Speaker 3: he's developed such an outside shot as well, because he
- 34:05Speaker 3: has to play that role a bit more because he's
- 34:07Speaker 3: not six eleven seven foot how many shots of these
- 34:10Speaker 3: guys getting up a day if they're a three point
- 34:13Speaker 3: shooter that's their role. How many opinion? For example, what's
- 34:16Speaker 3: he shooting.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Day by one thousand? Yeah? Yep.
- 34:20Speaker 2: And some guys got like they you come up with
- 34:22Speaker 2: many goals, like, hey, am I going to make five
- 34:24Speaker 2: hundred a day?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Is it two fifty today?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Other players that I've been around are like, I'm gonna
- 34:29Speaker 2: get up x amount of shots regardless of how many
- 34:32Speaker 2: go down. So each guy should have his own, you know,
- 34:36Speaker 2: mini goals per day and then mini goals per week.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Not everybody does that, but the great ones certainly do
- 34:43Speaker 2: it all right.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Final question, what's the ceiling for this year's team?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Wow? Great question.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I'm still trying to figure out roles, rotations, I think
- 34:51Speaker 2: because and we know it was an exhibition game, which
- 34:53Speaker 2: doesn't count because we played so well against Perdue, because
- 34:57Speaker 2: we played really well against Duke, although both those games
- 35:00Speaker 2: at home, which our home advantages is pretty dog gone good.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I mean, I think this team can can do what
- 35:07Speaker 2: past teams have done, which uh put themselves in a
- 35:10Speaker 2: chance to one. We got to make the tournament. Right now,
- 35:13Speaker 2: we're you know, our numbers need to improve from where
- 35:16Speaker 2: they've been in the past at this time, so our
- 35:18Speaker 2: ken palm numbers have to improve. If we somehow were
- 35:22Speaker 2: able to get in the tournament, I think this team
- 35:25Speaker 2: can really peak it in March because so many new
- 35:28Speaker 2: pieces were a veteran team. I think this team could
- 35:31Speaker 2: be really good in March. But we got to be
- 35:34Speaker 2: We got to put ourselves in position to be in position.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Coach, we appreciate your time.
- 35:38Speaker 1: No thanks, sure, thanks you guys.
- 35:40Speaker 3: All right, so this is our chat with senior guard
- 35:42Speaker 3: Calef Battle edie call kleb.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, I thought his name was Caleb.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Caleb transferred over from Temple. Uh, this is us. I
- 35:49Speaker 3: mean he can shoot like crazy. Here's Caleb Battle. If
- 35:52Speaker 3: you were to see us walk in the gym looking,
- 35:54Speaker 3: I mean exactly like this.
- 35:55Speaker 12: And we're like we're here to we're here to play.
- 35:57Speaker 12: What would you think for el like first suppression for all?
- 36:01Speaker 12: Like we we're walking with like we're trying to make
- 36:02Speaker 12: the team.
- 36:03Speaker 8: Uh. I don't know if I passed you guys the ball.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I feel like I was like a good shooter at
- 36:09Speaker 3: least maybe not the best athlete, but I like a
- 36:11Speaker 3: shoot a little bit like I got glasses.
- 36:13Speaker 8: I think it looked like you'll be able to manage
- 36:15Speaker 8: my money better.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Okay, here, all right, that was the funniest thing ever
- 36:19Speaker 3: said on the show, to be honest with you, all
- 36:21Speaker 3: the things that were said, that's it.
- 36:22Speaker 12: That's number one, the funniest thing we've ever said.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Okay, why Arkansas.
- 36:28Speaker 8: Great players, great fans. I like it.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Whenever you come into this place and there's twenty thousand people,
- 36:34Speaker 3: like when you play, dude, is that the biggest loudest
- 36:37Speaker 3: you've played in by far?
- 36:38Speaker 8: Yeah? It was amazing.
- 36:39Speaker 13: I mean the crowd is loud, and now you just
- 36:41Speaker 13: want to go out there and compete.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Can you tell how hyper crowd's going to be about
- 36:44Speaker 3: how early they're here and during like shoot around warm ups?
- 36:47Speaker 13: Oh not really, I mean during during during the Duke game,
- 36:53Speaker 13: I saw a lot of like people like set up
- 36:55Speaker 13: the white like shirts or tiles before the game. And
- 36:58Speaker 13: then we had our first warm up like an hour before,
- 37:01Speaker 13: and I went back in the locker room. We got
- 37:02Speaker 13: a pregram speech, and I walked outside and then it
- 37:04Speaker 13: was like a couple of thousand, like five thousand extra people. Yeah,
- 37:07Speaker 13: And we went back inside and it was like ten
- 37:09Speaker 13: thousand extra people. So I was like, Okay, so I
- 37:11Speaker 13: guess it's time.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Do you dream of playing basketball when you sleep? Do
- 37:15Speaker 3: you ever have dreams about basketball?
- 37:16Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 37:16Speaker 12: What's your dream?
- 37:17Speaker 3: What's like your most frequent basketball dream?
- 37:20Speaker 8: In the game winner in the NBA?
- 37:23Speaker 12: You haven't done that yet?
- 37:24Speaker 8: No?
- 37:24Speaker 11: Never are you wearing normal clothes or like or you
- 37:27Speaker 11: wearing something weird?
- 37:28Speaker 3: Now?
- 37:28Speaker 13: I was got on like a white jersey, like a
- 37:30Speaker 13: home jersey though always, so I have dream I'm naked.
- 37:36Speaker 12: No, I have that dream. I haven't dream like that.
- 37:38Speaker 12: I got out of any jersey.
- 37:40Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 37:41Speaker 3: So when you come to a school like Arkansas and
- 37:42Speaker 3: you got other other players that obviously come from great backgrounds,
- 37:46Speaker 3: great basketball players like and you also you came from
- 37:49Speaker 3: a big school coming here, Like, is it intimidated to
- 37:51Speaker 3: come here?
- 37:52Speaker 12: Or does it like inspire you?
- 37:54Speaker 8: Make you better?
- 37:55Speaker 13: Inspires me? Nothing intimidates me on the court. I kind
- 37:58Speaker 13: of like to be the person intimate the other people.
- 38:01Speaker 13: I want to bully people when I'm on the car
- 38:02Speaker 13: or make them scared to guard me. That's why we're
- 38:04Speaker 13: I'm Misseri actually because I feel like, no I can
- 38:06Speaker 13: guard me.
- 38:07Speaker 12: Do you do you talk trash.
- 38:10Speaker 8: Only when they say something.
- 38:11Speaker 12: First, what's the meanest thing you may's ever said to you?
- 38:15Speaker 3: Like that affected you where you're like, all right, all game,
- 38:17Speaker 3: I'm in his ear, Like what offends you?
- 38:20Speaker 12: Like you can't shoot?
- 38:22Speaker 13: I feel like it offends me when somebody just feels
- 38:25Speaker 13: like confident, like they're looking at me, they're not nervous. Yeah,
- 38:29Speaker 13: then I kind of get offended. Now I'm probably going
- 38:31Speaker 13: to try to make you nervous, knowing me.
- 38:33Speaker 4: What I'm offending you right now during this interview.
- 38:36Speaker 8: No, we're not competing right now.
- 38:38Speaker 3: What about if somebody is like sagging off you on purpose,
- 38:41Speaker 3: like just to show you that, I'll.
- 38:43Speaker 8: Probably talk trash after that, because I'm after that I
- 38:45Speaker 8: make a bucket. I'm probably gonna say something.
- 38:48Speaker 3: If you were shooting empty gym nobody around one hundred shots,
- 38:52Speaker 3: how many of those could you make them? Three?
- 38:54Speaker 13: If I'm shooting a hundred shots empty nobody in front
- 38:56Speaker 13: of you, I fly, I can make all a hundred, okay,
- 38:59Speaker 13: but you can't make one hundred?
- 39:00Speaker 8: Like how I can? I think I don't. Canda's not
- 39:02Speaker 8: in my vocabulary. I feel I could do anything that's.
- 39:04Speaker 11: Cool, that's really cool, That's definitely number one of my vocabulary.
- 39:07Speaker 12: Now I'm trapped because if I say anything else, I'm
- 39:09Speaker 12: a big loser.
- 39:09Speaker 8: Trying to talk him out.
- 39:10Speaker 3: If it's motivational, okay, If what would be your ideal
- 39:15Speaker 3: at the end of the season three point percentage at
- 39:17Speaker 3: the end of the season over forty, what are you now?
- 39:20Speaker 12: You know?
- 39:21Speaker 8: I don't even know. I don't even know my stats.
- 39:23Speaker 13: I just know all the bad things I do because
- 39:25Speaker 13: I know my coach and side would definitely chop of
- 39:27Speaker 13: that film and send that to me to get me better.
- 39:30Speaker 13: So I don't know about the good I just know
- 39:31Speaker 13: about like things I got to improve on.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Do you ever make a play like mess up turnover
- 39:35Speaker 3: and you're like, God, I'm coming out the game and
- 39:36Speaker 3: you don't eve want to look over at the bench?
- 39:37Speaker 13: Yeah, or if I foul, for sure, I'm coming out
- 39:41Speaker 13: the game, but I'm gonna go back in there.
- 39:42Speaker 8: But I just know you know, I'm coming out for
- 39:45Speaker 8: a little bit.
- 39:46Speaker 3: If you're hot and you're feeling it, you keep throwing
- 39:48Speaker 3: it up. You have green light, duh.
- 39:50Speaker 8: Here. I feel like I have a green green light
- 39:52Speaker 8: before I even shoot my first shots.
- 39:54Speaker 12: One hundred for one hundred. Yeah, yeah, could you shoot
- 39:56Speaker 12: if you shot.
- 39:57Speaker 3: From like the state here, like you just hi him
- 40:00Speaker 3: fired from right here.
- 40:01Speaker 8: Coach get mad, I better make it. If you made it,
- 40:04Speaker 8: what you'd be mad? No? If I shot at you.
- 40:08Speaker 12: If you missed it, he'd be mad.
- 40:09Speaker 3: But you don't miss.
- 40:09Speaker 12: You make a hundred for one hundred?
- 40:11Speaker 8: Yeah? Well, in my mind, every shot I shoot, you
- 40:12Speaker 8: know I was going in round. I wouldn't even shoot it.
- 40:14Speaker 3: If you're off a night. Let's say you missed it
- 40:16Speaker 3: four in row. You are you anxious to get back
- 40:18Speaker 3: out and keep throwing it up?
- 40:19Speaker 12: Yeah, just to do what sull prove yourself to make it.
- 40:24Speaker 12: What's the most you have made the game?
- 40:25Speaker 8: Most three pointers? High school? Eleven something like that.
- 40:28Speaker 12: What's the most point you ever scored in high school game?
- 40:29Speaker 13: In my high school, like we said, I used to
- 40:31Speaker 13: be taking on in the third quarter, so I remember
- 40:33Speaker 13: I have forty and the third and then they didn't
- 40:35Speaker 13: put me back in for the fourth quarter, so it
- 40:37Speaker 13: was like three minutes left and the third I have
- 40:38Speaker 13: forty already, and then coach will let me play because
- 40:41Speaker 13: he said I got stay in this league for a while,
- 40:44Speaker 13: and he's the one to get everybody else mad and
- 40:45Speaker 13: stuff like that.
- 40:46Speaker 8: So I want a loser? Yeah, hey killed them keeping
- 40:49Speaker 8: in the game. You did?
- 40:50Speaker 11: He didn't listen When you look, when you look in
- 40:52Speaker 11: the sideline, you see, like, you know, twelve fourteen assistant coaches.
- 40:56Speaker 12: Can you hear all of them yelling?
- 40:58Speaker 8: You?
- 40:58Speaker 4: Are you supposed to pay attention to only one?
- 41:00Speaker 8: Now you hear everybody's voice.
- 41:02Speaker 13: It's funny when you play basketball, you hear like the
- 41:04Speaker 13: voices you have to hear, like when I when the fans,
- 41:07Speaker 13: I don't hear anything but on the sideline if I
- 41:09Speaker 13: hear like shoot shooter, back door cut or whatever. You
- 41:12Speaker 13: hear that stuff you don't hear like you s No,
- 41:14Speaker 13: I never heard that. I wish I did. It'll probably
- 41:16Speaker 13: make me. It probably energized me. Turn me up a
- 41:18Speaker 13: little bit.
- 41:19Speaker 12: Your goal to lead the scene scoring, No, you probably will.
- 41:24Speaker 13: No, well, who knows, But I mean that's not my goal.
- 41:28Speaker 13: My goal is to win as many games.
- 41:30Speaker 12: You don't keep up with that. No, you know you're
- 41:32Speaker 12: you're I mean you're there.
- 41:37Speaker 8: I'm not lying at all.
- 41:39Speaker 13: My people is always telling me, if you know you're
- 41:41Speaker 13: good at something, then you don't have to worry about that.
- 41:43Speaker 8: Focus on other things.
- 41:45Speaker 3: All right, that's it for us. I didn't get a
- 41:47Speaker 3: text for my friend. Who's it soccer guy? He said yes,
- 41:50Speaker 3: and he said do you want them in order of greatness? Yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 3: he said, obviously this is opinion based. Two of them
- 41:56Speaker 3: play for the club I support. That's so he's going
- 41:58Speaker 3: to list him out.
- 41:59Speaker 4: But he's a arsenal. He's an arsenal game, he's an
- 42:03Speaker 4: arsenal guy.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Got your whistles, I'll take read his.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Don't tell him. Ed, you have more football cards for
- 42:08Speaker 4: your kids? Awesome? Oh dude, you know what's funny?
- 42:11Speaker 7: One of those you left in the package and so
- 42:14Speaker 7: I opened it and I was like, all right, I
- 42:15Speaker 7: got one of them, like and I'll clean his room
- 42:17Speaker 7: or something. And I'm like, I got a little prize
- 42:18Speaker 7: for you. And so we opened it up and it
- 42:20Speaker 7: was just a card that said, sorry, didn't win your jersey.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, try again next time. Yeah, Like, dad, what
- 42:28Speaker 4: do I do?
- 42:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 42:28Speaker 4: That's why I get this crap.
- 42:30Speaker 3: They send stuff if like, they have to send something
- 42:32Speaker 3: so it's not considered gambling.
