- 1:16Speaker 3: know that's a long time ago because I was in

- 1:20Speaker 3: a minute.

- 1:52Speaker 3: area in Louisiana. Again ktoz blinds dot com to a
- 2:00Speaker 3: turn the ball over. We're talking about them not gonna
- 2:04Speaker 3: work her anymore, not gonna work anymore. He got released.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I believe it's gonna be a post June release. It
- 2:11Speaker 3: saves him a little bit of money, but he's about
- 2:13Speaker 3: to set the record for dead cap space.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 2:18Speaker 4: The cap hit has always said million dollars of dead money.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I think they get a chance to spread it out
- 2:27Speaker 3: among two years if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, it's
- 2:31Speaker 3: gonna be a dead cap hit of ninety nine million
- 2:35Speaker 3: dollars dead money spread out in two years.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Not really the record you want to set as a quarterback,
- 2:41Speaker 6: Like this team hated me so bad they were willing
- 2:44Speaker 6: to take one hundred million dollars cap hit for me not.
- 2:48Speaker 5: To even be on the team.
- 2:51Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 2:52Speaker 5: It's a tough luck.
- 2:54Speaker 7: What was uh Russ was like fifty five million when
- 2:57Speaker 7: Denver moving one after a year fifty five something like that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I mean, just to give you an idea, double it,
- 3:05Speaker 3: triple it all right, let me look just kidding, Like
- 3:09Speaker 3: the Saints, I believe have the most dead money and
- 3:14Speaker 3: sixty five point seven million. Yeah, the New Orleans Saints
- 3:17Speaker 3: sixty five point seven million, So two is almost like,
- 3:22Speaker 3: even though it's gonna be split in half, he's almost
- 3:24Speaker 3: like setting the record by himself. Now that adds to
- 3:27Speaker 3: the Dolphins. Oh never mind, Oh wait, there's more.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I think.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I think now that this has hit, the Dolphins take
- 3:36Speaker 3: over the Saints money seventy three million. Let's Saints are
- 3:39Speaker 3: dead last.
- 3:40Speaker 4: There we go, boy kicking up. Uh, and this is
- 3:44Speaker 4: gonna happen when teams kick the can down the road. Uh.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Like, for instance, the Chargers have the most money to spend,
- 3:49Speaker 3: they only have five point five million in dead money.
- 3:52Speaker 8: Uh.
- 3:53Speaker 4: The Seahawks, who just won the Super Bowl. So pretty
- 3:55Speaker 4: good way of doing things.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And we've said John Snyder's probably the best manager in
- 4:00Speaker 3: the NFL.
- 4:01Speaker 4: If he's not the best, he's one of the best. Three. Yeah.
- 4:03Speaker 3: No matter who you are, you know you can't argue
- 4:06Speaker 3: they have dead money for the Seahawks four hundred and
- 4:09Speaker 3: eighty three thousand, So It kind of gives you an idea,
- 4:14Speaker 3: Like if I went around the playoff teams in the
- 4:18Speaker 3: NFL and like the dead money, and you'd be like,
- 4:21Speaker 3: wait a minute, the Rams have only nine million, The
- 4:23Speaker 3: Broncos only have a million, The Chiefs have nine million.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Let's see another. Let me find another playoff team. The
- 4:33Speaker 3: Bears have twelve million.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Well, these things happen when your franchise quarterback isn't your
- 4:39Speaker 6: franchise quarterback who you once thought.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I mean, I mean, it happens.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Not every contract is going to be good, but especially
- 4:45Speaker 6: if you swing and miss at that position because of
- 4:49Speaker 6: the market. Yeah, it's it's gonna flip on you and
- 4:54Speaker 6: the teams you're gonna list in the top five or
- 4:56Speaker 6: ten in.
- 4:57Speaker 5: On the good side of dead caps.
- 5:00Speaker 6: It's gonna be teams that either have a franchise quarterback
- 5:04Speaker 6: that's a top guy in the league, or somebody that
- 5:08Speaker 6: is on a team friendly deal, or a new quarterback,
- 5:11Speaker 6: or or a quarterback on a rookie deal. Yeah, I
- 5:14Speaker 6: mean at all overall, and I get it, there's other
- 5:16Speaker 6: positions that take cap hits. I think camp you know,
- 5:19Speaker 6: Cam Jordan's gonna have a cap bit this year for
- 5:21Speaker 6: the Saints. I get that that happens. But quarterbacks a
- 5:25Speaker 6: big one, the big market mover there, as it should be.
- 5:28Speaker 6: It's the best, but two a not the best. Ninety
- 5:34Speaker 6: nine million dollars cap hit for one team, how about that.
- 5:38Speaker 5: We're gonna fire you. We're gonna wait until June.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah, so now it's gonna be tough for to Iloa
- 5:46Speaker 3: to find.
- 5:47Speaker 4: A job right sitting there, Like.
- 5:52Speaker 6: They'll probably wave the tampering period for him. You can
- 5:55Speaker 6: just go play somewhere else for a little bit. Nobody's
- 5:57Speaker 6: gonna miss the off season. Yeah, that's its situation. But
- 6:03Speaker 6: he's been well, he's getting more compensated for it.
- 6:05Speaker 4: He is. But as you know, like his competitives to
- 6:07Speaker 4: like especially.
- 6:09Speaker 6: I mean that guy like you could say anything you
- 6:10Speaker 6: want about to about his play or whatever. Uh, but
- 6:13Speaker 6: he is obviously an extremely competitive guy, even to the
- 6:17Speaker 6: point where he's you know, some doctors may say he
- 6:20Speaker 6: might be risking his life or at least his quality
- 6:22Speaker 6: of life to play to play the game of football,
- 6:24Speaker 6: which he obviously has done. Played through a lot of
- 6:29Speaker 6: people saying he shouldn't play just because of the concussions
- 6:32Speaker 6: and things like that. And even though I was saying
- 6:33Speaker 6: I'm like, you got to protect this kid. Hey, and
- 6:36Speaker 6: I'm as I feel like, you know, we're we sit
- 6:38Speaker 6: here where as hard nos as it comes, like get
- 6:39Speaker 6: in there, rub some dirt on it, go play, play injured.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Whatever it is. We celebrate that in sport.
- 6:44Speaker 6: But like that, that was at the point with his concussions,
- 6:47Speaker 6: it was like, all right, well, you've got to protect
- 6:50Speaker 6: him from himself. Like if we're talking about brain damage,
- 6:55Speaker 6: which the next one could be. And don't try to
- 7:00Speaker 6: say that some of those concussions weren't concussions because we
- 7:03Speaker 6: all have eyeballs.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we've all had concussions. Yeah, I don't know
- 7:08Speaker 4: what it feels like. I know the signs after I
- 7:10Speaker 4: watched the tape and be like that's me. I did that.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Oh yeah, okay, your hands aren't supposed to do that.
- 7:17Speaker 6: I wish him well, a good kid, like he's made
- 7:20Speaker 6: some made some comments in the media that like when
- 7:23Speaker 6: they were struggling that you could question and yeah, whatever,
- 7:27Speaker 6: he seems like a good human being.
- 7:30Speaker 5: He's a talented guy.
- 7:31Speaker 3: No, yeah, and I'll say this too, and you like,
- 7:34Speaker 3: you know this playing quarterback more than anybody. But when
- 7:38Speaker 3: you get drafted high. It's a lot of pressure, and look,
- 7:43Speaker 3: you get paid for it, you get compensated for it.
- 7:45Speaker 3: But he was like different than even getting drafted high.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It was tank for Tua, Like it was a real
- 7:51Speaker 3: thing in the NFL, Like people were like tank for Tua,
- 7:54Speaker 3: Tank for Tua. There were some people that thought Tua
- 7:56Speaker 3: Tongue Ballo was maybe going to get drafted to have
- 7:59Speaker 3: Joe Burrow, like even going late into that process, if
- 8:01Speaker 3: you remember, that was a great quarterback class as well,
- 8:04Speaker 3: like it had justin Herbert and others. There was a
- 8:07Speaker 3: lot of people that had a lot of belief into
- 8:09Speaker 3: a tongue by Lowa that he was gonna be the
- 8:10Speaker 3: savior of that franchise, that he was finally going to
- 8:13Speaker 3: answer you know their question. They've had a quarterback really
- 8:16Speaker 3: since Dan Marino, and so, like there's pressure of getting
- 8:20Speaker 3: drafted high, but there's also pressure when you're the tank Guyah,
- 8:23Speaker 3: we're tanking for two or tanking for whoever.
- 8:25Speaker 6: Yeah, that was like the first time that I feel
- 8:28Speaker 6: like that saying got super popular for him, like with
- 8:31Speaker 6: him because.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Coming into this last year, yeah, like before Burrow blew up. Yeah, right, well,
- 8:37Speaker 7: remember there were people even even going into the draft
- 8:42Speaker 7: like day before you knew Burrow was going one, and
- 8:44Speaker 7: it was always who's gonna be the next quarterback taken?
- 8:47Speaker 7: Is it gonna be t Is it gonna be Justin Herbert?
- 8:49Speaker 7: There were people out there that were like, if Miami
- 8:52Speaker 7: takes Justin Herbert over two a Tec of a Lowa,
- 8:54Speaker 7: They're gonna regret this for the next decade. I mean
- 8:56Speaker 7: they were like hardcore, like, do not pick Herbert over
- 8:59Speaker 7: to I mean, look what happened.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Remember Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts also went in that draft,
- 9:08Speaker 3: So that does a good draft. That's even more difficult
- 9:12Speaker 3: for Dolphin fans that they can look at what Jordan
- 9:15Speaker 3: Love goes somewhere in the twenties twenty.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Six and who knows what the Dolphins, how any of
- 9:22Speaker 6: those other quarterbacks pan out in Miami. I still am
- 9:26Speaker 6: of the opinion Miami will never be relevant from a
- 9:29Speaker 6: championship level just because geographically you're in Miami and you're
- 9:35Speaker 6: dealing with American adult males ages twenty two to thirty
- 9:42Speaker 6: in Miami. I think there's too many distractions American males.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Bigger missing Round one.
- 9:49Speaker 7: I got the twenty twenty pulled up drafted two, well,
- 9:51Speaker 7: one pick ahead of Justin Herbert, or the Eagles drafting
- 9:54Speaker 7: Jalen rag Er one pick ahead of Justin Jeffers.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that one.
- 9:59Speaker 3: How did you watch their how did you watch their
- 10:02Speaker 3: college career and say, yeah, we'll make that.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Who'd they pick?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Jalen Rager from TCU.
- 10:07Speaker 4: He's been on like seventeen, he's still in the league.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Receiver, right, so like, yeah, they took a receiver, right, Like.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Do you pick a This is the draft that Chase
- 10:16Speaker 4: Young went the oas.
- 10:19Speaker 7: You've never seen the video of O'Connell and them on
- 10:21Speaker 7: draft night. It's it's really cool. You can find it
- 10:23Speaker 7: on YouTube. The Vikings draft room, like the war rooms
- 10:27Speaker 7: sitting there and they're like, Eagles need a receiver. Here
- 10:30Speaker 7: goes to Jefferson and they turned in the Jalen Rager card.
- 10:33Speaker 7: In Minnesota goes nuts in their war room. They're like,
- 10:36Speaker 7: we got Jefferson.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Was Jerry Judy went fifteen, Ceedee Lamb went seventeen, Henry
- 10:43Speaker 3: Ruggs went twelve in that draft. That that to me,
- 10:47Speaker 3: and look, Ceede Lamb's is awesome. Jerry Judy is okay,
- 10:50Speaker 3: he's at the moment for sure, but Ceedee Lamb and
- 10:54Speaker 3: Justin Jefferson are like two of the best five receivers
- 10:58Speaker 3: in the National Football League.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yep, man, can you imagine?
- 11:02Speaker 6: And him he's favorite my third child, jeff oh Jeosh
- 11:09Speaker 6: causing jeff and Jefferson.
- 11:12Speaker 5: She loves him.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Uh, you know who went twenty fourth overall that draft?
- 11:15Speaker 6: Matthew and twenty twenty Yep, who's the team best player
- 11:22Speaker 6: in football?
- 11:25Speaker 4: A fullback? Nope? I well wish a fullback went twenty
- 11:28Speaker 4: fourth overall? It plays guard?
- 11:34Speaker 5: Nope.
- 11:39Speaker 3: His name is featured in the movie The Hangover A
- 11:41Speaker 3: bunch Okay, his first.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Name, bro, I'm super lost. Caesar Ah, Caesar Palace there
- 11:53Speaker 6: the hang Out.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Joe. He went a first rounder?
- 11:55Speaker 4: Yeah, No, twenty fourth?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Ope, he was selected right ahead Brandon Ayuk, Jordan Love,
- 12:02Speaker 3: Jordan Brooks who just had a monster year linebacker for
- 12:04Speaker 3: the Dolphins, Patrick Queen t Higgins, DeAndre Swift teamed Johnson Taylor.
- 12:12Speaker 4: He's pretty good.
- 12:13Speaker 6: What team did season our play for Michigan? How many
- 12:22Speaker 6: good players in the NFL are from Michigan right now?
- 12:25Speaker 6: Top of your head?
- 12:26Speaker 7: Good players like starts, stand out players.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Nico Collins would be the first one.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Blake korm is good, but I wouldn't put him in
- 12:36Speaker 3: that Caddymore like you're talking about I know eight eight
- 12:39Speaker 3: hugon Nico Collins, the best on offense, best on defense.
- 12:42Speaker 6: All right, I'll give you a hutch Nico too, But
- 12:47Speaker 6: Niko has a tenth grader thrown it to him.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Just made eight CJ.
- 12:57Speaker 7: I've never seen somebody doing one to eight on a player.
- 13:00Speaker 4: She hates him. Well, it's a card game.
- 13:02Speaker 5: But it's a card game.
- 13:03Speaker 3: He's got some big ones that aren't so the card game, pal.
- 13:07Speaker 3: All I gotta do is complete some basic passes. They
- 13:11Speaker 3: got a couple of cards sold well to be fair
- 13:17Speaker 3: for the Saints, though they did hit in the third round,
- 13:19Speaker 3: they just didn't know they hit, and they used the
- 13:20Speaker 3: player in a completely wrong way and Zach Bond, but
- 13:23Speaker 3: they did hit. They hit for somebody else, for somebody else. Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 3: he's a All Pro player for the year.
- 13:30Speaker 6: You were talking about John Snyder, the GM for the Seahawks.
- 13:33Speaker 6: I believe he absolutely is the best GM you're gonna
- 13:36Speaker 6: go because he how many gms out there have built
- 13:43Speaker 6: a Super Bowl winning team twice from the ground up,
- 13:47Speaker 6: And I'm talking about head coach, quarterback assistance. Everything completely different.
- 13:52Speaker 6: There's no there's no common denominator between those super Bowl
- 13:56Speaker 6: winning Most gyms don't get the opportunity to do that.
- 14:00Speaker 5: But how many have done that?
- 14:01Speaker 6: I mean you can't. I can't, off the top of
- 14:03Speaker 6: my head think of any Yeah, the Patriots did it
- 14:07Speaker 6: for a long time, but it was it was common denominators,
- 14:11Speaker 6: clearly right though, this is completely different.
- 14:15Speaker 5: The only thing the same is the general manager. And
- 14:17Speaker 5: I'm sure some trainers and strength coaches, but.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Like head coach, quarterback, key personnel, assistant coaches, completely different.
- 14:27Speaker 5: You did it twice. Pretty impressive, very impressive.
- 14:32Speaker 3: And we think the world of John Schnyder won because
- 14:36Speaker 3: he's I think the best and he hits almost every draft,
- 14:38Speaker 3: and two because he's like a great dude too, like
- 14:41Speaker 3: very willing to be a part of the team. Were
- 14:44Speaker 3: some general managers, how dare you talk to me? He
- 14:47Speaker 3: is not liking that at all.
- 14:48Speaker 6: When I went on my free agent visit with him,
- 14:50Speaker 6: like we did the thing I went through and then
- 14:52Speaker 6: like we finished the day, me and him just went
- 14:54Speaker 6: we went slaging a bunch of beers.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 14:57Speaker 3: So what we did on my free agent visit to Seattle.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You were there, We went to dinner. He was there
- 15:01Speaker 3: slamming beers they targeted, and he would talk to it
- 15:05Speaker 3: like he's awesome, good dude. But I and I'm not
- 15:08Speaker 3: even saying that because of that. But we were talking
- 15:10Speaker 3: about free agent. We're talking about bad deals.
- 15:11Speaker 6: We're talking about you just talked about dead cap space
- 15:14Speaker 6: and they had four hundred thousand dollars in dead cap
- 15:17Speaker 6: space this year?
- 15:18Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 15:19Speaker 6: And they won the Super Bowl like it's obvious, like
- 15:22Speaker 6: he's got a way to do things. Who just paid
- 15:25Speaker 6: a cornerback a billion dollars this past weekend? The Rams
- 15:29Speaker 6: just played like, stop paying corners.
- 15:31Speaker 3: They traded traded well, they traded for Trent McDuffie, gave
- 15:34Speaker 3: up a first rounder and a third round, and then
- 15:37Speaker 3: made him the highest paid every.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Yeah, look at the Chiefs playbook. The Chiefs have won.
- 15:41Speaker 6: How many Super Bowls have they won the last decade?
- 15:45Speaker 6: They've won a lot and they've been to a lot
- 15:47Speaker 6: and they continue to win this past year as anomaly,
- 15:49Speaker 6: they never paid corners. Yeah, they get they draft corners,
- 15:54Speaker 6: they developed them, they bring in good veterans or whatever
- 15:57Speaker 6: it is, and then they let somebody else over pay
- 16:00Speaker 6: for them. They don't pay corners. ID have corners. It's
- 16:04Speaker 6: the and I keep saying that physically it's the hardest
- 16:06Speaker 6: position to play on the field. Cornerback, it's just hard.
- 16:11Speaker 6: You're back pedaling cover in one of the greatest athletes
- 16:14Speaker 6: in the world going full speed right ahead of you.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Like it's hard. But teams that overpay that doesn't really
- 16:20Speaker 5: pan out. I'm with you.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I would only put maybe Howie Roseman into the conversation
- 16:25Speaker 3: that you're talking about Eagles general manager, because he's kind
- 16:27Speaker 3: of done the same thing with.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Two different coaches, two different quarterbacks. Because you had it's
- 16:33Speaker 4: probably good Tom.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I think those two are the only two that
- 16:35Speaker 3: are up for what we're talking about. Though that's good
- 16:39Speaker 3: comp I think those two are different than everybody else.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I'll put John one. I put Howie too, And it
- 16:44Speaker 3: pains me to say that. I'm kidding. I like Howie
- 16:46Speaker 3: Lott had a chance to catch up with him at
- 16:48Speaker 3: the combine. I don't see I don't know him, but
- 16:50Speaker 3: how he went to Florida. As soon as I saw him,
- 16:54Speaker 3: never mind, as soon as I saw him, he goes
- 16:55Speaker 3: an l shoe guy. I said I'd feel that way
- 16:58Speaker 3: too if record was that against LSU.
- 17:01Speaker 4: He liked that one though, he did like that one.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Uh yeah, he's from Brooklyn, but he went to Florida.
- 17:08Speaker 4: He's a gator. There's a lot of gators out there
- 17:10Speaker 4: in the wild.
- 17:12Speaker 5: It's unfortunate, really I meet somebody. Was he wearing sorts?
- 17:15Speaker 3: No, he wasn't. Not the combine. He doesn't well macromaid
- 17:21Speaker 3: he does that at home. But he's the only other
- 17:24Speaker 3: person that would put in that, uh, in that same category.
- 17:26Speaker 3: All right, when we come back, I know we're gonna
- 17:30Speaker 3: have our guy Will Helmer's that's at eight thirty correct.
- 17:32Speaker 3: All right, So when we come back, let's have a
- 17:34Speaker 3: little weekend winners here on o TV live.
- 17:37Speaker 4: From the Raising King Studio.

- 20:53Speaker 4: That's right.
- 20:54Speaker 2: We can't have anyone to freak out out there.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Okay, he's got a Kmark Apolser got I'm by winning.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I went here and I win there.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Now, what are you doing what it takes to win
- 21:07Speaker 3: a championship?
- 21:08Speaker 10: Wow?
- 21:09Speaker 4: Winning?
- 21:11Speaker 5: Well, then I guess there's only one thing left to do.
- 21:14Speaker 5: What's that win the whole thing?
- 21:21Speaker 4: All right?
- 21:22Speaker 3: So my first weekend winner is going to be a
- 21:26Speaker 3: player that plays the most important position in football.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Player that is too gritty to be pretty.
- 21:32Speaker 3: It's gritty over pretty, and that is alec Ingol, the
- 21:38Speaker 3: fullback formerly of the Miami Dolphins, signs a two year,
- 21:41Speaker 3: seven point five million dollars deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Let's go, baby, getting an actual fullback in there. You're
- 21:53Speaker 3: paying him seven point five over two years, which in
- 21:56Speaker 3: fullback money, that's like seven hundred and fifty million dollars.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Let's go to your argers bringing back the fullback, an
- 22:02Speaker 3: actual fullback, not a defensive tackle playing fullback.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Alicking Gold the newest LA Charger.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yeah, stop it, gross full back, all right?
- 22:14Speaker 6: All weeken Winter Taylor ahead and pull the video up.
- 22:19Speaker 6: American because I love America, USA, Support the troops, American.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Nathan Martin, when's the closest Los Angeles Marathon in race history?
- 22:30Speaker 6: Beating Kenya's Kenya Perennial Powerhouse being Kenya's Michael Kamani camu
- 22:41Speaker 6: b just point zero one seconds twenty six point two
- 22:45Speaker 6: miles comes down to point zero one. Things ahead and
- 22:48Speaker 6: play that video, Taylor, watch this. Yeah, this is the
- 22:54Speaker 6: finish line right here, Come on, come on.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Play. Is the American the one that's hawking?
- 23:02Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Oh place Kenya's in first a radio audience.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, no way, oh my.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Let's gosh, let's go.
- 23:14Speaker 3: He had no idea that he was getting hawked, like
- 23:18Speaker 3: he is distraught.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Oh man, what a win.
- 23:21Speaker 6: So America, Nathan Martin, I believe he's like a history
- 23:24Speaker 6: teacher or something like that quote. I made an actual
- 23:27Speaker 6: move five miles out. Can you imagine that? When I
- 23:30Speaker 6: saw no one else was picking up the pace, I
- 23:31Speaker 6: decided I needed to push. The thirty six year old said.
- 23:34Speaker 6: At a mile and a half to go, I could
- 23:36Speaker 6: see the leader, and with eight hundred meters ago, I
- 23:38Speaker 6: was thinking, I'm catching him. So if you're if you're listening,
- 23:41Speaker 6: you're not watching, there is. It's kind of hitting the
- 23:43Speaker 6: social media like he was probably twenty thirty meters behind him. Wait,
- 23:48Speaker 6: like right before the finish line starts sprinting. It's not
- 23:52Speaker 6: like the Kenyan guy was like going slow. But I
- 23:54Speaker 6: don't know if he thought he was behind him or what.
- 23:56Speaker 6: But my god, he crosses and touches that paper finish
- 24:00Speaker 6: line like like I said, point zero one seconds. So
- 24:05Speaker 6: can you imagine that twenty six point is it twenty
- 24:08Speaker 6: six point two miles of the marathon? Yeah, that guy,
- 24:12Speaker 6: the guy from Kenya ran twenty six point one nine
- 24:15Speaker 6: faster than anybody else. But that last point oh one seconds, I.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Think it's like fingertip hits a tape.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Let's go USA, America. Just count it. Another victory.
- 24:28Speaker 4: That's a big one. That's a big one. That's that's
- 24:30Speaker 4: a sport that top.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Of the dominated.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Big deal.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Hey, Kenya set down marathons.
- 24:41Speaker 4: There our sport.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Now we're we're a marathon country.
- 24:43Speaker 4: We're taking hockey from Canada. Yep, taking marathons from Kenya.
- 24:47Speaker 4: What's next?
- 24:48Speaker 5: What's next? Cricket India?
- 24:50Speaker 4: Look out World Cups here.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Beating your soccer?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Cricket India. Maybe India's India's unnoticed India crick going down
- 25:04Speaker 3: soccer and Argentina, it doesn't matter wherever the whole world.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Rugby New Zealand talking to you.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Elanda, do you have one.
- 25:17Speaker 4: I do not. Okay, I got one for it.
- 25:19Speaker 2: A lot of winning going on this week.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Very fair.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Uh So, speaking of soccer, if you are a true
- 25:26Speaker 3: like soccer fan, like you know the player Holt, he
- 25:28Speaker 3: goes about Holt.
- 25:30Speaker 4: He's Brazilian and he's massive, big player. Right.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Well, he was in a match in the Brazilian league
- 25:38Speaker 3: and he threw a punch. There was a mass brawl
- 25:42Speaker 3: and twenty three players can sit off with a red card.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Now this was like a fine, do you have.
- 25:48Speaker 7: Enough players to finish at that point? I mean, how
- 25:51Speaker 7: many year old a soccer two?
- 25:52Speaker 4: This is when.
- 25:55Speaker 3: In the twenties, low twenties, this is when uh you're
- 26:00Speaker 3: keeping it real. Hulks thirty nine, which in soccer years
- 26:02Speaker 3: is kind of like agent, right, so you know he's
- 26:06Speaker 3: played in like these massive, massive clubs. He's played for
- 26:09Speaker 3: Brazil forever. So now he's you know, finishing his career
- 26:12Speaker 3: in the Brazilian league. He made sure he got his
- 26:16Speaker 3: They had to stop play for like eight minutes and
- 26:19Speaker 3: it was just a melee. Twenty three red cards, multiple punches.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I think it was twelve from one team, eleven from another.
- 26:26Speaker 3: So it was pretty evenly shown. There you go to
- 26:32Speaker 3: a game down in Brazil, just google it if you're
- 26:35Speaker 3: at your desk.
- 26:38Speaker 6: Not as dangerous as being like a goalkeeper in from
- 26:41Speaker 6: Colombia in the eighties.
- 26:43Speaker 4: That's true.
- 26:45Speaker 5: Give up the winning goal, Yeah, don't do that.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I won similar to Jake actually kind of same area.
- 26:54Speaker 7: So I've been tuning into a little bit more hockey
- 26:56Speaker 7: after the Olympia, and I was a I'll shoot yesterday,
- 27:00Speaker 7: so I had.
- 27:01Speaker 4: The big screen idea, but I dropped the puck.
- 27:08Speaker 2: The Sabers and Lightning.
- 27:09Speaker 7: First off, it's eight to seven, which is a massive score.
- 27:12Speaker 7: That's like fifty five to fifty. Okay, fifteen total goals,
- 27:17Speaker 7: five fights, one.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Hundred and two total penalty minutes.
- 27:21Speaker 7: In this game, you want to talk about just physicality
- 27:24Speaker 7: and two dudes beating the crap out of each other
- 27:26Speaker 7: all night, five fights, one hundred and two penalty minutes, fifteen.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Total goals scored.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Love it.
- 27:30Speaker 7: You're not going to watch anything more electric than that. So, uh,
- 27:33Speaker 7: we can winner Sabers and Lightning for putting on a
- 27:36Speaker 7: show for the fans and the Sabers when at eight seven,
- 27:38Speaker 7: So double weekend winner to them.
- 27:40Speaker 6: Hockey's great when it gets like was it last year,
- 27:43Speaker 6: whereas US versus like USA Canada, like the four Nations
- 27:46Speaker 6: thing where you can fight for the Kentuck brothers got
- 27:49Speaker 6: into like before the puck was even dropped, it was like, yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 6: let's just go ahead and square up. It's great and
- 27:54Speaker 6: a lot of that, like they're probably friends, they might
- 27:56Speaker 6: even be teammates, and it like it's just they probably
- 27:58Speaker 6: text each other before they want to do this.
- 28:01Speaker 5: All right, let me pass by, coach, Let's do it.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Love it.
- 28:09Speaker 5: So I think, Yeah, Gulf South said it here in
- 28:12Speaker 5: the chat.
- 28:14Speaker 6: Isn't the Hulk the guy that divorce's wife and then
- 28:17Speaker 6: married her like sister.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Or niece or something like that? Feels right?
- 28:21Speaker 6: I remember seeing that the only reason I know of
- 28:23Speaker 6: him feels right.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Crazy social media, it's wild.
- 28:29Speaker 3: The scenes from the World Baseball Classic. It's good they've
- 28:32Speaker 3: been a winner as well. Yeah, I mean, just what
- 28:34Speaker 3: it means to the players that are playing for these
- 28:37Speaker 3: countries to see the excitement, to see the passion that
- 28:41Speaker 3: they have. Like I was watching a little bit earlier
- 28:44Speaker 3: today and it was Korea and Australia, and Australia was
- 28:47Speaker 3: down like five nothing. They scored like one run and
- 28:51Speaker 3: like they were fired up, and I'm like, oh man,
- 28:53Speaker 3: this is cool to see and we.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Say it all the time.
- 28:55Speaker 3: We played like literally the only sport that doesn't have
- 28:58Speaker 3: international play, and you know, American football. I hate it
- 29:03Speaker 3: because that would have been pretty cool to represent your country.
- 29:06Speaker 9: Okay, we can winter seventeen year old Joseph Contreras. He
- 29:10Speaker 9: struck out Aaron Judge, So you can go back to
- 29:12Speaker 9: high school and be like, I know what it's like
- 29:13Speaker 9: to strike out Aaron Judge.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, in Brazil had some really cool stories. That was
- 29:17Speaker 3: one of them, for sure. The judge I went and like.
- 29:19Speaker 6: I think he got him to hit into double play. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 6: but he got three outs against like.
- 29:24Speaker 2: The heart, so he got Yeah, you're right, Yeah, he.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Struck out somebody of note that was it with, Yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 3: somebody he did that to.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yeah really well, yeah.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Seventeen years old.
- 29:34Speaker 3: And then Manny Ramirez is so on hit two bombs
- 29:37Speaker 3: Lucas team Brazil against the USA.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Yeah there's somebody one of the first games struck out
- 29:43Speaker 6: Tani and like kept the ball and celebrated it and.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Like, oh yeah the electrician from the Czech Republic. It's electrician.
- 29:49Speaker 6: Literally another potential week in winter this is all rumors,
- 29:56Speaker 6: all rumors. I'm excited for this. Okay, former is she Tiger?
- 30:02Speaker 6: Current Cincinnati Bengal Joseph Burrow, Oh yeah, potentially rumors could be,
- 30:08Speaker 6: could be not is it dating Jessica Alba?
- 30:14Speaker 4: Ai they're playing black jack together?
- 30:17Speaker 5: They're playing black jack now, okay, I don't.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Care, Joe Burr.
- 30:21Speaker 7: We can win it for hanging out with just playing blackjack,
- 30:24Speaker 7: even character together.
- 30:26Speaker 5: I think there's like a twenty year age gap.
- 30:28Speaker 4: So what just a number, man?
- 30:30Speaker 5: The number age is just a special construct.
- 30:34Speaker 7: Me watching me watching Fantastic four Jessica alba on the
- 30:37Speaker 7: big screen as a twelve year old child.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I'll never forget it.
- 30:41Speaker 5: That's end the story.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Yeah, settle down there.
- 30:47Speaker 5: I'm just saying, fun movie, fun movie.
- 30:51Speaker 6: I don't know that story ends.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate that.
- 30:57Speaker 3: I'm glad, I'm glad. I'm glad you here, all right.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I'm so glad he's not here right now. He would
- 31:03Speaker 3: not let that one go, all right anymore?
- 31:07Speaker 4: Winners are losers.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Just pick let's go three in softball, two of three
- 31:17Speaker 3: in baseball, uh, three of four in beach volleyball, men's
- 31:21Speaker 3: and women's basketball.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Other than that, it's pretty good weekend.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Gymnastics was gymnastics was So they lost the match, But
- 31:29Speaker 6: Jake Clark told us last week it's not really about
- 31:32Speaker 6: like Florida. The Florida gymnastics team scored the highest point
- 31:36Speaker 6: total in the country of any team this year.
- 31:39Speaker 4: She was right on the hills.
- 31:40Speaker 6: LSU played like had had their best best score of
- 31:43Speaker 6: the year on the road away from the p Max
- 31:45Speaker 6: so like, and they won three of the four events.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Like they did good. Yeah, they did good. They just
- 31:51Speaker 3: they just actually plays well into our narrative. So we're
- 31:53Speaker 3: gonna keep it going. Yeah, yeah, all right, we will
- 31:56Speaker 3: take a break more O t B when we bounce
- 31:59Speaker 3: back here live from Raisin Knees Studio. Well, hopefully you
- 32:04Speaker 3: enjoy some of that L shoe Uh sporting events. Nice
- 32:07Speaker 3: cold do secis. At least you had that in your hand.
- 32:11Speaker 3: They she had feet up these she had a cold pop.
- 32:14Speaker 3: At least she enjoyed some of those little Chris refreshing
- 32:19Speaker 3: do sekis well, delicious Mexican lawnger. Probably that was probably
- 32:23Speaker 3: the only win that you had, or at least you
- 32:25Speaker 3: did have that, because it's always there for you.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's always a great time. No matter what's.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Going on, if you're at the game, if you're tailgating
- 32:33Speaker 3: before the game, if you're watching.
- 32:35Speaker 4: The game at home, whatever it might be.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Here in the springtime, that beautiful weather it's about to
- 32:39Speaker 3: hit us.
- 32:40Speaker 4: You should do it with a nice cold do sekis.
- 32:42Speaker 4: And you should always go for decks.
- 32:44Speaker 6: That's the thing. Every time you drink it, do sekis.
- 32:46Speaker 6: You are a winner. You are winning. It is a
- 32:49Speaker 6: victory in and of itself. So drink dose sechis. H
- 32:52Speaker 6: Make sure if you are going to indulge and have
- 32:54Speaker 6: a beer, make sure you do responsibly. But do it
- 32:57Speaker 6: with the best, and that is do secies. Look for
- 32:59Speaker 6: those two x's on the bottle. That green can that
- 33:01Speaker 6: green bottle, absolutely delicious.
- 33:03Speaker 5: Do sinkies.
- 33:30Speaker 9: Off the bench with Jacob Hess and Mathelin, presented by
- 33:34Speaker 9: by you Automotive.
- 33:37Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in O t B.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Here live from the Raisin Kines studio every Monday, joined
- 33:43Speaker 3: by our guy will Helmer's Shout out to the g team.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Shout out to Louisiana. Loaded well, William, how you.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Doing, good to see you, Good to see be here. Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 4: won Friday, that's cool. They did long hit some home runs.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yeah on Friday, it's early, but it's troublesome, as we
- 34:13Speaker 3: all know, like the losses before when you lost to McNeice, okay,
- 34:18Speaker 3: and you lose one to Northeastern. It's like, look, we
- 34:19Speaker 3: can go back in twenty three and twenty five national
- 34:23Speaker 3: championship years. We can show you you've got losses like that.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Last year got run ruled by Northwestern State. So okay,
- 34:29Speaker 3: no panic. Yeah, it's starting to feel a little panicky. Uh,
- 34:33Speaker 3: you go on the road, tough environment, U ulll you
- 34:36Speaker 3: lose that game that that game has been lost before
- 34:38Speaker 3: for national championship team.
- 34:39Speaker 4: I'm not worried about that one, right this one? Yeah,
- 34:42Speaker 4: these last two last to are a little troublesome.
- 34:46Speaker 10: I think the last time I was here in the
- 34:47Speaker 10: stat last night, last time LSU's lost five games to
- 34:52Speaker 10: non conference teams less than a power forward coachman Ay's
- 34:55Speaker 10: first year Yeah here at LSU, which is we were
- 34:58Speaker 10: still in right, Yeah, that's unfortunate, but you know that's yeah,
- 35:05Speaker 10: how they do that.
- 35:07Speaker 3: It wasn't an LSU baseball wasn't exactly l Sue baseball
- 35:10Speaker 3: when we were in school ever, from A Ford to
- 35:12Speaker 3: oh seven, so true, smoke days and them.
- 35:16Speaker 10: Not the same, not good, but just you know, coming
- 35:20Speaker 10: off of that's like some real issues, you know, I
- 35:24Speaker 10: guess and you'd like to think, like I know better
- 35:28Speaker 10: than anybody, the guy leading the ship is going to
- 35:30Speaker 10: turn it around, right, it's just a matter of, you know,
- 35:32Speaker 10: if the team can buy into that. And for you know,
- 35:35Speaker 10: on the outside looking in, it kind of doesn't look
- 35:38Speaker 10: like they're playing. Obviously not playing to the best of
- 35:40Speaker 10: their ability, to all of their talents, but as a team,
- 35:43Speaker 10: you know, they're kind of a lot of guys are
- 35:45Speaker 10: taking individual at bats. You're seeing these seven pitch innings
- 35:48Speaker 10: from other teams where it's like, man, this guy's just
- 35:50Speaker 10: going up there hacking. They're trying to get you know,
- 35:53Speaker 10: something going, and that's just not the way that Jay's
- 35:55Speaker 10: offense works. You know that they're supposed to draw walks,
- 35:59Speaker 10: they're supposed to get the alder out of the game
- 36:00Speaker 10: quick by drawing the pitch count up. They're supposed to
- 36:03Speaker 10: you know, do all these things, and they're not doing them. Yeah,
- 36:05Speaker 10: and so they got to get on board with it,
- 36:08Speaker 10: and it just comes down to you know, getting back.
- 36:10Speaker 4: To work for them.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Usually when you know Baseball's a streaky game. Like you're
- 36:17Speaker 6: gonna go on slumps, You're gonna get hot, like I
- 36:20Speaker 6: get it. And as a team, you're gonna do that
- 36:21Speaker 6: as well. But what's concerning is it just seems like
- 36:25Speaker 6: almost everybody in the lineup is cold and nobody seems
- 36:29Speaker 6: to And we talked about this when we talked about
- 36:31Speaker 6: the show earlier, talked about the weekend earlier, the show
- 36:34Speaker 6: it was it does like I'm watching the game and
- 36:37Speaker 6: I'm waiting for somebody to impact the game, not just
- 36:42Speaker 6: from like on the scoreboard, but like impact the game
- 36:44Speaker 6: from like a leadership standpoint. Who's that guy who's the
- 36:47Speaker 6: dog on your team, right that's going to not put
- 36:51Speaker 6: up with it anymore and just say all right, enough stuff.
- 36:53Speaker 6: Maybe I'm not gonna like go and like choose somebody
- 36:55Speaker 6: out or maybe that's not their stop, but like enough's enough,
- 36:57Speaker 6: I'm gonna go to the bat, I'm gonna take this
- 36:59Speaker 6: game out.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Or whatever it is.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Maybe it's a picture on the picture mount who is
- 37:05Speaker 5: that guy who can.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Sure? That was my that was my thing?
- 37:09Speaker 10: I was I did that for you know, the better
- 37:11Speaker 10: part of three years at LSU, and they need some
- 37:15Speaker 10: juice like seriously, like if you know, there's not a
- 37:18Speaker 10: whole lot going on in the dugout from a leadership standpoint,
- 37:21Speaker 10: and the coach can't be that guy, you know, like
- 37:24Speaker 10: he can he can chew your you know whatever as
- 37:27Speaker 10: much as you want, but as if a players you know,
- 37:30Speaker 10: not doing that, it's not going to be the same.
- 37:32Speaker 10: And so they need you know, if you're juiceless, you're useless,
- 37:36Speaker 10: you know. And so that was a big thing of mine,
- 37:39Speaker 10: is like they need some just energy.
- 37:41Speaker 8: You know.
- 37:41Speaker 10: It just seems like it's very lax of daisical in
- 37:44Speaker 10: the dugout and you know, the guys are out on
- 37:46Speaker 10: the field and it's just like all right right here
- 37:47Speaker 10: for another in you know, and so they need some
- 37:51Speaker 10: some kind of spark. And so I don't know, if
- 37:53Speaker 10: you know a guy you know, I know guys are
- 37:55Speaker 10: leading the team. You get Jake Brown, Steven mylem Gidry,
- 37:58Speaker 10: like those are all guys who have been there and
- 38:00Speaker 10: and one national championships and a.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Lot of these guys have you know, they just got
- 38:04Speaker 4: to somebody's got to set up.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Even if somebody's leading, you have to have people that
- 38:07Speaker 6: follow and like and take that team. And I talked
- 38:12Speaker 6: about like even when I saw them winning, it was like,
- 38:15Speaker 6: I'm seeing no like usually baseball, you get on base
- 38:18Speaker 6: you see this, right, So I'm seeing no celebration. I'm
- 38:22Speaker 6: seeing no f bombs like dropped when they strike out,
- 38:25Speaker 6: Like I'm not seeing much Like it's.
- 38:28Speaker 10: Not like emotionally especially baseball, because it's so emotionally driven,
- 38:33Speaker 10: you know, from you know, it can change in an
- 38:35Speaker 10: instant and the momentum can swing with you know, one
- 38:37Speaker 10: at bat, and so to not see that as a
- 38:41Speaker 10: you know, a former player and a fan, and you know,
- 38:44Speaker 10: it's that sucks. You know, it's just they and a
- 38:49Speaker 10: lot of a lot of baseball is not about baseball,
- 38:52Speaker 10: you know. It's about the energy. It's about the the
- 38:55Speaker 10: mental stuff and and that's why, you know, it's so difficult.
- 38:58Speaker 10: But they just got to get back on track as
- 39:00Speaker 10: far as like you know, taking good at bats, taking
- 39:03Speaker 10: quality at bats, and having some freaking energy.
- 39:06Speaker 3: And it doesn't have to come from like the very
- 39:08Speaker 3: best player on the team. We were talking a little
- 39:10Speaker 3: bit earlier, Will and it's like in twenty twenty three,
- 39:12Speaker 3: like that was Cableoso Cade was that guy.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Last year. I think Ethan Friday did a great job
- 39:17Speaker 4: of that.
- 39:17Speaker 3: It's like those guys when they were up and they
- 39:20Speaker 3: needed to do something, they were going to get it done.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Not the most talented guys, but I'll be damned every
- 39:24Speaker 3: time that they needed it, they always came through the ether.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Fry is really really talented.
- 39:28Speaker 3: I get that I'm saying, But like they weren't the
- 39:31Speaker 3: guys who were on the cover of the magazines coming
- 39:33Speaker 3: into the season, right, but they had such a strong
- 39:36Speaker 3: purpose on those teams because they were.
- 39:38Speaker 4: I mean, Kate Blosso moved to the leadoff in.
- 39:40Speaker 3: The National Championship game, right, I mean like he'd do
- 39:42Speaker 3: whatever he had to do exactly, Like if you need
- 39:44Speaker 3: it done, Cab was going to do it.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Like they need somebody like that.
- 39:47Speaker 3: It feels like to be able to step maybe somebody
- 39:50Speaker 3: we were talking about this too, somebody from Louisiana, somebody
- 39:53Speaker 3: that wanted to put on that uniform their entire life
- 39:55Speaker 3: and it means so much to them that they're not
- 39:57Speaker 3: going to let things go to the way.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 10: Look, college sports is lot different now, as you know,
- 40:02Speaker 10: and that when it comes to that is and and
- 40:04Speaker 10: I think you're right, like having that Louisiana guy that
- 40:07Speaker 10: that Ky Beloso, that you know, Trey Morgan, that Kay Doty,
- 40:11Speaker 10: like those Core Gavin du guys.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Like those guys.
- 40:13Speaker 10: Obviously there's some big names in there, but those Louisiana
- 40:16Speaker 10: guys have a little pride and a little loyalty to
- 40:19Speaker 10: this program and they know what it means. And I'm
- 40:21Speaker 10: not I'm not at all saying that the rest of
- 40:23Speaker 10: this team doesn't.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Guys from other places. We could go on and all
- 40:28Speaker 4: go on and on, but.
- 40:30Speaker 10: Just there's something a little more about. Man, you lived here,
- 40:32Speaker 10: like I'm gonna live up to what LSU Baseball is.
- 40:34Speaker 10: Anything that put that gold jersey on, you know, or whatever,
- 40:38Speaker 10: and so they need a little bit of that and
- 40:40Speaker 10: they just need some buy in.
- 40:41Speaker 5: It seems like, feel like they need they need a
- 40:43Speaker 5: night out together.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Man.
- 40:45Speaker 10: I cooked for him last week, drinking beer, Hosselaiah. I
- 40:50Speaker 10: mean it was awesome whatever you did. Maybe it's my
- 40:54Speaker 10: fault if I need to boil crawfish or something.
- 40:59Speaker 6: All right, So I all right, So how okay, you've
- 41:02Speaker 6: been in that dugout, so take us through. So, of course, Jenohns,
- 41:05Speaker 6: it's certainly not going to be happy. I don't know
- 41:06Speaker 6: what his coaching style. I don't know if anybody knows
- 41:08Speaker 6: what his coaching style is like with this situation happened.
- 41:10Speaker 6: I guess we will find out a little bit, but
- 41:13Speaker 6: just from a mentality of the team, like, so, what's
- 41:14Speaker 6: sex You got to reset? The next most important game
- 41:16Speaker 6: is the next game, right, so you can't change what's
- 41:18Speaker 6: happened in the past. You got a long season, SEC
- 41:21Speaker 6: plays soon to start. How do they feel, like, what
- 41:25Speaker 6: what do you do as a team to kind of
- 41:28Speaker 6: get out of this and start playing the way you
- 41:30Speaker 6: know you can play.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it all comes from the team itself.
- 41:34Speaker 4: You know, they need to know.
- 41:36Speaker 10: What I would have done is had a team meeting
- 41:38Speaker 10: just the players. And I saw them do it last
- 41:40Speaker 10: night individually with just pitchers and just hitters, no coaches
- 41:44Speaker 10: on the field after So I was pleased to see that.
- 41:47Speaker 10: That just tells me they know something needs to change
- 41:50Speaker 10: and outside of the coaches. And so that's where that's
- 41:54Speaker 10: where you start. And you just get back to work.
- 41:56Speaker 10: And it's hard because you know they have to take
- 41:58Speaker 10: an off day to day and then practice tomorrow probably
- 42:01Speaker 10: at you know, one or two, and then go play
- 42:02Speaker 10: Creighton and then all of a sudden you're on the
- 42:04Speaker 10: road again Wednesday to go to Vandy, and so you know,
- 42:07Speaker 10: it's it's hard to get that work in and so
- 42:10Speaker 10: then it then it becomes like, hey, like we just
- 42:12Speaker 10: got to do it.
- 42:13Speaker 4: You know, we know it's there. We've seen it, everybody
- 42:16Speaker 4: else has seen it. The talent's there. You can be
- 42:19Speaker 4: a team together.
- 42:20Speaker 10: You've seen flashes of that in games, and so it's
- 42:23Speaker 10: just a matter of you know, being competitive and making
- 42:26Speaker 10: the choice to go and do that.
- 42:28Speaker 4: And it's you know, it's easier said than done a
- 42:30Speaker 4: lot of.
- 42:30Speaker 10: The times because it's baseball, and it's about to get harder,
- 42:34Speaker 10: a lot harder from them because they're about to face
- 42:36Speaker 10: a lot better pitching and you know, who knows, you know,
- 42:38Speaker 10: maybe they perform better against.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Ninety seven with a nasty slider baseball. It's like when
- 42:46Speaker 4: the guys going slow, not no chance.
- 42:48Speaker 10: Yeah, everybody just keep throwing slow. But you know, I've
- 42:55Speaker 10: seen a lot of based L s U baseball. Look,
- 42:57Speaker 10: we started three and nine and the SEC my freshman
- 42:59Speaker 10: yearn and then all of a sudden we win you know,
- 43:02Speaker 10: regional in Oregon. You know, so there's a long season left, right,
- 43:06Speaker 10: and there's a lot for them to still figure out,
- 43:08Speaker 10: you know, as they get into SEC play and as
- 43:10Speaker 10: they you know, continue to you know, to learn about
- 43:13Speaker 10: the team and learn how to you know, freaking be
- 43:16Speaker 10: a team.
- 43:16Speaker 5: That's right, you know.
- 43:17Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break and then maybe get
- 43:19Speaker 3: a little small preview of Vanderbilt YEP from Will when
- 43:22Speaker 3: we come back here on OTV. Off the bench, I
- 43:26Speaker 3: go to Russell Pools dot com the website for you
- 43:29Speaker 3: guessed it, Russell Pool Company. You go check out all
- 43:32Speaker 3: the quality work that they've done here in the South
- 43:34Speaker 3: Louisiana region. Now, if you're looking for your custom pool,
- 43:37Speaker 3: obviously they can give you whatever you're looking for.
- 43:39Speaker 4: But I always encourage you, even if you have that
- 43:41Speaker 4: pool ready to go take a look at the gallery.
- 43:43Speaker 3: There might be something that you pick from somebody else's
- 43:46Speaker 3: pool that you want to add to your custom pool.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Because they've done it all over at Russell Pool Company
- 43:51Speaker 3: from the start, everywhere in between till the end, and
- 43:54Speaker 3: then after your pool is done, they are always going
- 43:57Speaker 3: to be there for you.
- 43:57Speaker 6: That's Russell Pools dot com. Russe Pools dot com your name.
- 44:01Speaker 6: When you think of the highest quality custom pools and
- 44:03Speaker 6: all of Louisiana. They've been doing in a long time.
- 44:05Speaker 6: Chris Anderson and the gang over there. They got a
- 44:08Speaker 6: fantastic team, easy to work with, the best to work with.
- 44:11Speaker 6: So if you have something to mind, if you have
- 44:12Speaker 6: a design in mind that you want to be, Hey,
- 44:13Speaker 6: this is what I wanted to look like. This is
- 44:15Speaker 6: how I wanted to function. This is you know, I
- 44:16Speaker 6: wanted to just dive in whatever. They can build it,
- 44:19Speaker 6: they can draw it, but if you don't, you just
- 44:21Speaker 6: want to go there and start the process. They got
- 44:23Speaker 6: two landscape architects on staff right there. They can help
- 44:25Speaker 6: you the entire way. That is Russell Pooles dot Com.
- 44:50Speaker 9: Off the Bench with Jacob Hess and Mathline presented by
- 44:54Speaker 9: Buy You Automotive.
- 44:58Speaker 3: All right, welcome by getting OTV got about a in
- 45:00Speaker 3: a half left here in this segment, we got our
- 45:02Speaker 3: guy Will Helmer's here with us, uh Will. The good
- 45:05Speaker 3: thing is misery loves company. And the rest of the
- 45:08Speaker 3: sec didn't farewell for the most part. Some did Mississippi
- 45:11Speaker 3: State Texas, but a lot didn't. Vanderbilt lost a game
- 45:14Speaker 3: to North Dakota State. They lost four in a row
- 45:16Speaker 3: at one point already this year. Now, some pretty good teams,
- 45:19Speaker 3: but they lost four in a row, so you have
- 45:22Speaker 3: an opportunity. Uh man, this is like if you don't
- 45:25Speaker 3: show life in an SEC series to open up the years,
- 45:29Speaker 3: that's real troublesome.
- 45:30Speaker 10: Yeah, exactly. You know, hopefully I've seen it before. They
- 45:35Speaker 10: you know, might come out as a different team. Yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 10: you know, it might just be an environment thing. And
- 45:39Speaker 10: you know, who knows, maybe they hit a little better pitching,
- 45:43Speaker 10: you know, thirty seven, you know, ninety three to ninety
- 45:45Speaker 10: seven with a nasty slider.
- 45:46Speaker 4: Maybe that's that's just easy for them. Yeah, that'd be cool.
- 45:49Speaker 4: But uh you know, it's fun. It's fun. It's cool. Yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 4: that's fine with me. Yeah, just keep doing that.
- 45:54Speaker 10: But and I just hope we don't face Creighton in
- 45:57Speaker 10: the Omaha. You know, that would be problem. Yeah, you know,
- 46:01Speaker 10: you know the rest of the SEC has also struggled
- 46:04Speaker 10: to it's you know, a good thing on that front.
- 46:06Speaker 10: You know a lot of people losing a non conference team,
- 46:09Speaker 10: so the RPI kind of gets messy all all throughout
- 46:12Speaker 10: the SEC and when you look into the end of
- 46:15Speaker 10: the season of like, you know, what's the top sixteen
- 46:18Speaker 10: team going to look like, We'll see what happens all.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Right, Will Helmer's louis analoaded. Check out the podcast where
- 46:23Speaker 3: I got Jordi Klatta. Check out the G team. We'll
- 46:26Speaker 3: be back at number three OTB off the bench.
