  Speaker 2: done done something wonderful for you. You just got to

  Speaker 2: thank Him for it, you know, in the midst of

  Speaker 2: all that's going on in my life and in your life.

  Speaker 2: You know, I always use myself as an example because

  Speaker 2: well I mean that way. I guarantee you one hundred

  Speaker 2: percent I know what I'm talking about here. Here's the situation,

  Speaker 2: you know, with everything that's going on in my life

  Speaker 2: and all the things I'm asking God for.

  Speaker 1: In the midst of.

  Speaker 2: Taxing and a very trying situation that's very challenging for

  Speaker 2: me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on

  Speaker 2: surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want you

  Speaker 2: to look at your life. Or for a second, let's
• 1:05
  Speaker 2: make two columns here. Let's make a column of all
• 1:09
  Speaker 2: the things you want from God. You know, just do
• 1:12
  Speaker 2: that throughout the course of the day, you know, you know,

  Speaker 2: run down the list of all the things you're asking
• 1:17
  Speaker 2: God for all the things you're praying for, the things
• 1:20
  Speaker 2: you aspire to, what your dreams, your visions, whatever it is.

  Speaker 2: Just make a column list of all those things. Let's
• 1:28
  Speaker 2: make three lists. And then the second list, I want

  Speaker 2: you to make a list of everything that you've been
• 1:37
  Speaker 2: asking God for. So I guess that could be a

  Speaker 2: little bit of the same. But this third list, I

  Speaker 2: want you to do a check off point. I want

  Speaker 2: you to do a make a list of everything that

  Speaker 2: God has given you that you've asked him for. Just

  Speaker 2: think about it like that for a second. I may

  Speaker 2: be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm gonna

  Speaker 2: pull it together for you. Make a list of every

  Speaker 2: thing you're asking God for. Just just list it. You know,

  Speaker 1: You know. Every everybody's got something you hope for. Make

  Speaker 2: I want you to make another list of everything you've

  Speaker 2: asked God for that he's given you already. See this

  Speaker 2: is a good list because sometimes and what I've been

  Speaker 2: guilty of and maybe you two in my request list

  Speaker 2: on my dream board, I keep focusing so hard sometimes

  Speaker 2: on the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing

  Speaker 2: so hard on the what I hope he gives me.

  Speaker 2: I keep focusing so hard on the things that I
• 2:44
  Speaker 2: yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he

  Speaker 2: starts checking off my wish lists the things I've asked

  Speaker 2: for in the past that have come to pass that

  Speaker 2: he's given me, I sometimes for what I want forget

  Speaker 2: to thank him for what he's done for me. And

  Speaker 2: I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And this

  Speaker 2: morning when I woke up, I really, man, I just

  Speaker 2: got on my knees this morning and I quit tripping

  Speaker 2: for a second.

  Speaker 1: I said, Man, hey, God, you know what I.

  Speaker 2: Really do need all them things I'm asking for, and

  Speaker 2: I'm really am believing that you're gonna give it to me.

  Speaker 1: But in the.

  Speaker 2: Meantime, though, Man, have I overlooked some important details here?

  Speaker 1: I had to really look at what he's done for me.

  Speaker 2: I mean, look, man, take yourself out of it personally,

  Speaker 2: and look, well, you can leave yourself in it however
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: you want to be.

  Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, so just leave yourself in it.

  Speaker 2: Then, But man, I started looking at the eyepart of me,

  Speaker 2: and I started looking around at what's happening overall, Like man,

  Speaker 2: he has kept my family together and in spite of
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: the attempts to tear it apart.

  Speaker 1: I look at all of that.

  Speaker 2: I look at how he's blessing my children with the

  Speaker 2: desires of their heart, which I pray for my You know,

  Speaker 2: I want my kids to have a better life than

  Speaker 2: I've had. I really really do. I don't want them

  Speaker 2: to take as long as it took me to get
• 4:07
  Speaker 2: it together. I really really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man,

  Speaker 2: if you go to college, this is what you can be.

  Speaker 2: Don't do like your father did. Don't go three years
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: drop I'll throw yourself into a spiral. And then got
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: to start to scratch all over again, you know, And

  Speaker 2: for the most part so far, you know, they're doing
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: quite well of it. You know, you know they're getting

  Speaker 2: kicked around a little bit, but that's life. I started

  Speaker 2: thinking of the blessings that he's helped me overcome with

  Speaker 2: some of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships in

  Speaker 2: my life, and then I started looking about the things
• 4:42
  Speaker 2: he's blessed me with that I've been asking him for.

  Speaker 1: But since I've moved on from it.

  Speaker 2: I forgot to keep thinking because I got to always

  Speaker 2: thank God for a roof over my head because guess what,

  Speaker 2: when I was asking for the roof and I didn't

  Speaker 2: really have it, then he gave me one.

  Speaker 1: Now, since he gave it to me, what, I'm just
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: cool now, I can't.

  Speaker 2: Ever go back to him and go, hey, man, I

  Speaker 2: really do appreciate this roof over my head because there

  Speaker 2: was a time when I was living in a car.

  Speaker 2: But see, so every morning I wake up, I gotta

  Speaker 2: remember the fact that I have a home now because

  Speaker 2: I got to look back and go, man, that was time, Steve,

  Speaker 2: when you didn't have no home.

  Speaker 1: But see, we.

  Speaker 2: Forget what God has done for us because in our column,
• 5:21
  Speaker 2: the won't column, the need column, we oftentimes forget for
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: the columns and the check marks that He's already fulfilled

  Speaker 2: in our life. You've got to take inventory every now
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: and then daily if possible.

  Speaker 1: But I know, we humans, we're not gonna do that.

  Speaker 1: I don't. But you've got to take inventory of your

  Speaker 1: life to say, hey, what has God done for me?

  Speaker 1: You know?

  Speaker 2: And remember something else too. Change is good, but change
• 5:52
  Speaker 2: is challenging. Accept the challenge that it is Look, a

  Speaker 2: lot of you come up to me all the time,

  Speaker 2: say Steve Man, thank you, man, boy, you in the morning. Man,

  Speaker 2: I really be needing that well, Like I only said

  Speaker 2: it a hundred times, but I'm gonna say it again, y'all,

  Speaker 2: I be needing it too. You know, you understand, sometimes

  Speaker 2: what God is dealing with me is for me. But

  Speaker 2: now I'm in a sharing position where I can open

  Speaker 2: up and if I just if I just quit being

  Speaker 2: so about me and become a little bit more transparent,

  Speaker 2: I can maybe some of me that's happening to me

  Speaker 2: is happening to you, and you can see some of

  Speaker 2: this in me. That's why I use myself as an example,

  Speaker 2: because man, I'm catching it too, y'all.

  Speaker 1: I ain't perfect either.

  Speaker 2: So for those of you that come up to me

  Speaker 2: and say that, I want you to understand these these

  Speaker 2: talks in the morning, man, this is important for me

  Speaker 2: because man, I need these conversations from God. I need

  Speaker 2: God to continue to strengthen me, to show me the

  Speaker 2: way to help me understand what's happening to me. And see,

  Speaker 2: as we've all those of you who have made the

  Speaker 2: decision to change to become a better person, a better woman,

  Speaker 2: a better boy, better girl, a better man. For those

  Speaker 2: of you who's made the decision to change, change is

  Speaker 2: a challenge, and accept the challenge because it's gonna come.

  Speaker 1: Because right out of that here come to haters.

  Speaker 2: Here they come people you don't even know, discussing your

  Speaker 2: life and your change. If God see you really really

  Speaker 2: mean what you say, in spite of what they say

  Speaker 2: about you, God will raise you above the freight. He'll

  Speaker 2: keep promoting you, He'll keep blessing you, He'll keep moving

  Speaker 1: He will use you as a show off point.

  Speaker 2: He'll show you off, man, He'll he'll make you look

  Speaker 2: good the people man who wish you'd fall all day long.
