- 0:48Speaker 1: Hello, lovelies. Thank you to Lama. We were over there
- 0:52Speaker 1: having a chat and she goes, hey girl, you got
- 0:55Speaker 1: to show you gotta get going. We were just planning
- 0:59Speaker 1: stuff for tonight. So happy Monday, guys. I hope you
- 1:04Speaker 1: all had a wonderful weekend. I am Terry True Crime
- 1:07Speaker 1: and welcome to Midday Missing. This is a place where
- 1:11Speaker 1: we highlight current missing person cases that need more attention. Now.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I had somebody on one of my socials say you're
- 1:19Speaker 1: covering a case from ten years ago. How do you
- 1:22Speaker 1: call these current? So let me explain real quick current
- 1:27Speaker 1: because they're still missing. They haven't been found. I don't
- 1:32Speaker 1: care if they went missing forty years ago. It is
- 1:35Speaker 1: still current because they have not been found. Okay, clearing
- 1:39Speaker 1: that up for you now. We do live stream every
- 1:42Speaker 1: Monday and Wednesday at noon Central time, unless the Beautiful
- 1:47Speaker 1: and Lovely Alama is streaming trial over on couch Court.
- 1:52Speaker 1: In that case, we stream during the court's lunch break,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and if you watch couch Court, she ports you over here.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So all you have to do is hold on your butt,
- 2:01Speaker 1: tuck your arms in, and you're all good. Now, Oh
- 2:05Speaker 1: my goodness, it looks like we have a lot here.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Hello Angie, we got Lady and Gray. There's the beautiful Allama. Guys,
- 2:13Speaker 1: my shirt's being wonkey today. Hello eighties music man. I okay,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I feel honored and privilege that you dropped in on
- 2:22Speaker 1: midday missing, so thank you. Hello Michael, Hello everybody Now. Guys,
- 2:30Speaker 1: if you haven't, please like this video, subscribe and hit
- 2:34Speaker 1: the notification bell so you don't miss when we go
- 2:37Speaker 1: live on our channel or drop a new episode. But
- 2:40Speaker 1: most importantly, so you don't miss these important stories that
- 2:44Speaker 1: for some families, us getting the word out is the
- 2:48Speaker 1: only coverage that they're getting, because not everybody gets the
- 2:54Speaker 1: national attention that they deserve when they go miss in. Now.
- 2:59Speaker 2: If you're listening to this.
- 3:00Speaker 1: On the podcast app, please download and most importantly, leave
- 3:05Speaker 1: us a review, give us a star rating, hopefully a
- 3:08Speaker 1: five star. The reason why that helps some kind of
- 3:12Speaker 1: algorithm math and helps others find our show, which means
- 3:17Speaker 1: more people can hear about the missing person cases that
- 3:22Speaker 1: we cover. And of course, guys, if you need more
- 3:26Speaker 1: of me and Lama, because on every other channel but
- 3:29Speaker 1: this one, there's sometimes shenanigans, and there's a lot of
- 3:32Speaker 1: side eyes, there's eye rolls, there's even some cuss words.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You can find us doing something on our True Crime
- 3:41Speaker 1: and Mindtime YouTube channel. If you're watching this over on
- 3:44Speaker 1: the book Face, head on over to YouTube like it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We have a lot more going on there than you
- 3:51Speaker 1: will ever see on the book face. Okay, and guys,
- 3:54Speaker 1: if you want to become a member, we have several levels,
- 3:57Speaker 1: with the first starting at just ninety nine cents and guys,
- 4:01Speaker 1: as a channel member, you will get exclusive content, special emoji,
- 4:05Speaker 1: happy hours in a zoom room with me and Mama
- 4:09Speaker 1: where if you want to get on camera and chat
- 4:11Speaker 1: with this you can, or if you just want to
- 4:13Speaker 1: be there and hang out in the chat you can.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And we have monthly giveaways for our members. Okay, now
- 4:21Speaker 1: I need to warn you. In case you weren't over
- 4:23Speaker 1: on Couch Court and you didn't see this, I need
- 4:26Speaker 1: to warn you that, guys, today, I really really dislike
- 4:30Speaker 1: two men in the stories. I'm going to tell you,
- 4:34Speaker 1: and I'm going to tell you I was gonna say
- 4:37Speaker 1: I can't promise I won't rage. Instead, I'm going to
- 4:40Speaker 1: tell you I am gonna rage. I can promise you
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm going to rage. Okay, And the reason I'm going
- 4:45Speaker 1: to rage is because watching Dustin over on the trial
- 4:49Speaker 1: with Couch Court. He got me fired up and he
- 4:52Speaker 1: is a pos just like two guys that I'm going
- 4:55Speaker 1: to cover today. So if you don't want to hear
- 4:58Speaker 1: me rage.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I don't know what to tell you to do. I
- 5:03Speaker 2: don't know what to tell you to do. Let's get
- 5:06Speaker 2: into it. Okay.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Also, guys, please hold me accountable. I am going to
- 5:15Speaker 1: instead of drinking out of my cute little plastic wine glass,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I am drinking out of this.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I am behind. It's noon, I'm supposed.
- 5:25Speaker 1: To be right here. I'm supposed to drink two of
- 5:28Speaker 1: these a day. I'm really behind. So help hold me
- 5:32Speaker 1: accountable and make sure I'm drinking my water, okay. Now
- 5:37Speaker 1: Born on March fifteenth, nineteen seventy seven, Rashonda Lee Pickle,
- 5:43Speaker 1: lovingly called Handy by her family, was a bright, kind,
- 5:48Speaker 1: thirteen year old girl from Oregon. She was the second
- 5:51Speaker 1: child of Stephen and Linda Pickle, and she had one
- 5:55Speaker 1: older brother named Byron. I love the name Byron now.
- 6:00Speaker 1: After her parents' divorce, Chandy and Byron lived with their mother,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but they remained close to their father, visiting him often.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Now, I just realized I forgot to share the picture
- 6:14Speaker 2: of her. There you go, guys.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Oops, and I just shared the wrong one. Okay, guys,
- 6:20Speaker 1: ignore the fact. Okay, hold on, see Lama, this is
- 6:25Speaker 1: why I'm not so good at this. Let me find
- 6:29Speaker 1: the right page to share with you. Guys. Sorry, Chandy,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I will get right back to you. I think it's
- 6:39Speaker 1: this one that I'm supposed to share. Guys, I am sorry.
- 6:44Speaker 1: This is what I get for talking to Lama in
- 6:52Speaker 1: the chat. Okay, guys, hold on, technical errors. I'm going
- 6:58Speaker 1: to start all over is pulling up that slide show
- 7:02Speaker 1: because I screwed up. It's Monday, guys, Please be kind
- 7:07Speaker 1: give me a little bit of grace because I'm not
- 7:16Speaker 1: always so good at this tech stuff. I'm gonna try
- 7:20Speaker 1: it again. Let's see if I did it right this time.
- 7:23Speaker 1: If I didn't, I'm gonna just say we're gonna go
- 7:27Speaker 1: with it.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I think I did it right. Okay, I got it now, Candy.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I am so sorry that I did that.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But guys.
- 7:43Speaker 1: They both remained close with their father, visiting him often now.
- 7:47Speaker 1: When her mother remarried, she remarried a man named John.
- 7:51Speaker 1: The family moved to the Oregon Highway Division maintenance complex
- 7:56Speaker 1: at Santium Junction, which is a remote outpost surrounded by
- 8:00Speaker 1: thick forest and steep mountain. Train sounds beautiful, they say.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It was isolated, but a very peaceful life. Now, Chandy
- 8:10Speaker 1: was close to her mother and her brother, and she
- 8:14Speaker 1: really wandered far into the woods without Byron by her side.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You know, he was her little sidekick. Now.
- 8:21Speaker 1: In July of nineteen ninety, Chandy had just returned home
- 8:25Speaker 1: after visiting her dad for part of the summer. On
- 8:28Speaker 1: the morning of July tenth, her mother woke her around
- 8:32Speaker 1: five am to help raid her hair before work. Now,
- 8:35Speaker 1: Chandy kissed her mom goodbye and settled on the couch
- 8:39Speaker 1: to watch TV. Sadly, guys, this is the last time
- 8:43Speaker 1: her mother ever saw her. Now. Her stepfather, John Ackroyd,
- 8:50Speaker 1: later claimed he saw Chandy around nine thirty am, still
- 8:53Speaker 1: in her pajamas, watching cartoons. He said he invited her
- 8:58Speaker 1: to go for a drive to photograph deer, but she declined,
- 9:03Speaker 1: saying she had chores to do. Guys, I'm thinking she
- 9:05Speaker 1: didn't want to go take pictures of the deer. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 1: when he returned home a few hours later, Chaney was gone.
- 9:12Speaker 1: The front door was a jar, a pellet gun was
- 9:16Speaker 1: leaning against the camper, and a box of pellets were.
- 9:19Speaker 2: On the ground. Now.
- 9:21Speaker 1: John later told police what he found and said it
- 9:24Speaker 1: was unusual but not alarming. John, excuse me, sir, excuse me.
- 9:30Speaker 1: You come home and your stepdaughter, who you left on
- 9:36Speaker 1: the couch watching TV and you come home, she's not there.
- 9:42Speaker 1: There's a gun, pellet gun leaning against the camper. There's
- 9:46Speaker 1: pellet bullets. I don't know what you call think they're
- 9:48Speaker 1: just little pellets. And you're not concerned. You left, you
- 9:53Speaker 1: weren't concerned. Excuse me, sir. You are part of the problem. Okay,
- 10:01Speaker 1: because you should have.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:07Speaker 1: John went to pick Linda up from work, and when
- 10:09Speaker 1: they returned home, they once again found the house empty. Now,
- 10:14Speaker 1: none of Chandy's chores had been done. Her clothes, makeup,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and personal items were untouched. Only a pair of black
- 10:23Speaker 1: sweatpants and a new Kids on the Block T shirt
- 10:27Speaker 1: were missing. And that's what they're assuming she was wearing. Okay,
- 10:32Speaker 1: JOHNA and Linda checked around the complex, but they found
- 10:35Speaker 1: no sign of Chandy. Now, guys, Linda wanted to call
- 10:39Speaker 1: the police right away. John's insisted, oh no, we have
- 10:45Speaker 1: to wait twenty four hours. You can't report a child missing.
- 10:49Speaker 1: The police won't even take the call. He convinced her.
- 10:52Speaker 2: This, okay.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Chandy wound up not being reported missing until July eleventh,
- 10:59Speaker 1: and the police did not start the search till the
- 11:03Speaker 1: next day, July twelfth. Yes, guys, you heard me, July twelfth.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Okay, she is.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Thirteen years old and she lives in a terrain of
- 11:17Speaker 1: mountains and hills and bears and coyotes and foxes and guys,
- 11:25Speaker 1: she had already been missing, so let me help clear
- 11:28Speaker 1: up the timeline. He left, went to go do things.
- 11:32Speaker 1: He came back around lunchtime. She wasn't there. He saw
- 11:35Speaker 1: the guy and he was like, yeah, no big deal.
- 11:37Speaker 2: He left.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It was in the evening when he picks London up
- 11:41Speaker 1: from work and then convinced her to wait twenty four hours.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Twenty four hours from that time. Okay, guys, that is
- 11:51Speaker 1: even more because she hadn't been seen since nine thirty
- 11:55Speaker 1: in the morning. She's thirteen years old.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Tell me why.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Why? Because he's a pos now. Police reached out to
- 12:10Speaker 1: Chandy's father to see if he had heard from her.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He was like, no, I haven't, and the police ruled
- 12:16Speaker 1: out pretty quick that she was a runaway. They're like,
- 12:19Speaker 1: she's not a runaway. All of her belongings are left
- 12:22Speaker 1: at home and no indication she was unhappy. She had
- 12:27Speaker 1: just come back from visiting her dad and her brother
- 12:30Speaker 1: I believe stayed there.
- 12:32Speaker 2: She was happy. Okay.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Now, for several weeks, helicopters, deputies mounted search teams. They
- 12:40Speaker 1: scoured the dense wilderness near Santium Junction. They found no
- 12:45Speaker 1: signs of Tandy, no footprints, no torrent clothing, no blood drops,
- 12:52Speaker 1: no scent. Like I said, officers had quickly ruled out
- 12:58Speaker 1: that she wasn't a runaway. Now, her family and law
- 13:02Speaker 1: enforcement feared she had been taken against her will or
- 13:06Speaker 1: something happened to her. Now. Suspicion soon turned to her stepfather. Yep, yes, guys,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I red flags all over John Arthur Ackroyd because he
- 13:19Speaker 1: was the last person to see her alive, which is
- 13:21Speaker 1: pretty standard. Okay, But guys, he also told police, Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: she wasn't here when I came home at lunch and
- 13:28Speaker 1: there was this gun crop there. But I wasn't worried, really, sir,
- 13:33Speaker 1: you weren't worried that your thirteen year old step daughter
- 13:38Speaker 1: wasn't at home. Really okay, but guys, it gets worse.
- 13:47Speaker 1: John Ackroyd was already known to police for his connection
- 13:51Speaker 1: to the unsolved nineteen seventy eight disappearance and murder of
- 13:56Speaker 1: a jogger named Kay Turner, a case in which he
- 14:00Speaker 1: he also had been the last to see the victim alive. Hmm,
- 14:08Speaker 1: anyone else connecting dots here now? Investigators found acroyd statements
- 14:14Speaker 1: inconsistent and deeply unsettling. He knew few personal details about Chandy,
- 14:20Speaker 1: but volunteered inappropriate information about her body. Guys, it didn't
- 14:28Speaker 1: include it in a script, but let me tell you
- 14:32Speaker 1: some of the comments he made about her thirteen year
- 14:35Speaker 1: old body developing is horrific, predatory.
- 14:42Speaker 2: To me, Michael, I am so sorry. I mean, I
- 14:50Speaker 2: get it, I get it now.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Friends and relatives said he had been abusive and that
- 14:58Speaker 1: Chandy had made comments that she was a afraid to
- 15:00Speaker 1: go home and be alone with him. Despite the mounting suspicion,
- 15:07Speaker 1: no evidence tied him to her disappearance, her case went cold.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Now two years later, in nineteen ninety two, Ackroyd was
- 15:17Speaker 1: arrested and finally convicted for the murder of Kay Turner.
- 15:21Speaker 1: In nineteen ninety three, he was sentenced to five life
- 15:25Speaker 1: terms without parole. Still too good for you, But unfortunately
- 15:31Speaker 1: Chandy's family had no answers. Her body has not been found.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Now in twenty thirteen, more than two decades after Chaney Vandish,
- 15:41Speaker 1: Ackroyd was charged with her murder, but before the case
- 15:45Speaker 1: could go to trial, he entered into a secret plea deal,
- 15:50Speaker 1: agreeing not to contest the charges and to never try
- 15:55Speaker 1: to seek parole. No new evidence was revealed, and Ackroyd
- 16:01Speaker 1: never confessed or disclosed what he did with Chanda or
- 16:05Speaker 1: her body. Sadly, guys, he died in prison in twenty sixteen. Okay,
- 16:15Speaker 1: law enforcement, please tell me why you agreed to a
- 16:21Speaker 1: plea deal without him telling what he did to her
- 16:26Speaker 1: and where her body is. He's already in prison, five
- 16:31Speaker 1: life sentences. He wasn't going anywhere. You had time. Why
- 16:37Speaker 1: would you make that plea deal? Where is justice in that?
- 16:45Speaker 1: If somebody knows, please you can email me Terriottcwtmedia dot com.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I want to hear how you think that's justice, because
- 16:53Speaker 1: to me, that's not justice.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:57Speaker 1: The sheriff's office later confirmed that the case is now
- 17:01Speaker 1: considered solved under that plea agreement. But like I said,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Chandy's loved ones never got answers. Her remains have never
- 17:11Speaker 1: been recovered, and the truth of what happened to her
- 17:15Speaker 1: and that peaceful, beautiful, isolated mountain pass remains buried with
- 17:21Speaker 1: the man who took her life. And we can say
- 17:25Speaker 1: he took her life because he pled to it. I
- 17:29Speaker 1: don't understand. I don't understand. I don't like John Ackroyd.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I am glad he is dead, but I want to
- 17:39Speaker 1: know why prosecutors did a plea deal with him?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Why?
- 17:46Speaker 1: Why? What good did that do so you could have
- 17:49Speaker 1: something on your books. Oh, there's a win. This case
- 17:52Speaker 1: is now closed. This case isn't closed. Chandy is still missing.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Her loved ones do not know where she is, Okay,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and that means to me that plea deal was wrong
- 18:09Speaker 1: in my opinion.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So I'm asking if you have any information about the
- 18:16Speaker 1: disappearance or death of Richanda Chandy Pickle, contact the Lynn
- 18:21Speaker 1: County Sheriff's Office at five four one nine six seven
- 18:26Speaker 1: three nine five zero. Her family hopes and wants to
- 18:31Speaker 1: find her remains so that they can give her a proper,
- 18:34Speaker 1: proper burial. And say goodbye. Most likely they're never going
- 18:39Speaker 1: to find out what exactly happened to her, but if
- 18:43Speaker 1: we can help bring her remains home. Maybe John opened
- 18:48Speaker 1: his mouth in prison and told someone. So, if you
- 18:53Speaker 1: have a family member or loved one or an acquaintance
- 18:56Speaker 1: that maybe was in the same prison as him, find out. Okay,
- 19:02Speaker 1: let's try to get this family some answers.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Now, if you know of or you have a loved
- 19:14Speaker 1: one missing and are interested in having their story featured
- 19:18Speaker 1: on an upcoming episode of Midday Missing, or if you
- 19:22Speaker 1: want to join us for either a live interview on
- 19:25Speaker 1: camera or we can do an off camera at interview,
- 19:29Speaker 1: please contact Amy, our producer, by emailing her at Amy
- 19:34Speaker 1: at tcwtmedia dot com, or you can contact us through
- 19:40Speaker 1: any of our social media accounts, dm me on any
- 19:44Speaker 1: of them. At Terry Truecrime, you can do Midday Missing,
- 19:47Speaker 1: True Crime and mind Time any of them.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Also, thank you for putting that in there, night Bot.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You can also if you have an anonymous tip, you
- 19:59Speaker 1: can go to Tips dot FBI dot gov slash home. Okay,
- 20:05Speaker 1: now it's next case. There's another man that I don't
- 20:11Speaker 1: like much. Okay, now, Teresa Davison Murphy was born on
- 20:16Speaker 1: May fifteenth, nineteen sixty five. Look at her, she reminds
- 20:21Speaker 1: me of Bridget Monahan and a couple of her pictures. Sorry,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I keep hitting my mic. She had brown hair, blueish
- 20:29Speaker 1: hazel eyes, and a tattoo of a green rose on
- 20:32Speaker 1: her right ankle. She was five foot ten and weighed
- 20:35Speaker 1: about one hundred and forty pounds now. Teresa was known
- 20:39Speaker 1: for her humor, her kindness, and for being a fiercely
- 20:45Speaker 1: loving and protective mom. Teresa and her two children had
- 20:49Speaker 1: lived in Florida in northern California before finally settling in Covington, Washington.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Now.
- 20:57Speaker 1: While working at the Boeing Aircraft Plant, Teresa met Richard Murphy.
- 21:02Speaker 1: The two married on July third, nineteen ninety eight. Now,
- 21:08Speaker 1: after the wedding, Teresa moved with Richard to Rainier, Oregon.
- 21:13Speaker 1: The move was hard for her. She didn't know anyone
- 21:16Speaker 1: there and guys. That said, she quickly began to regret
- 21:20Speaker 1: leaving Washington Now. Her son Justin decided to stay behind
- 21:24Speaker 1: with his father in Klamath Falls, Oregon, which was about
- 21:29Speaker 1: six hours away, while Teresa and her thirteen year old daughter,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Jessica tried to adjust to life in their new town.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Now Teresa did. She did her best to stay in
- 21:42Speaker 1: touch with family. She called her mother often, and friends
- 21:48Speaker 1: and family said those phone calls helped ease the loneliness. Guys,
- 21:53Speaker 1: phone calls help. I mean, we are so blessed to
- 21:56Speaker 1: now have face time, so you can even see the
- 21:59Speaker 1: person now. On October seventh, nineteen ninety nine, Teresa chopped
- 22:05Speaker 1: Jessica off for a long weekend sleepover at a friend's house,
- 22:09Speaker 1: and Jessica was excited. It was just a week after
- 22:13Speaker 1: her thirteenth birthday and the girls had a volleyball game
- 22:16Speaker 1: planned for that Friday. Now, that same day, Teresa's new husband, Richard,
- 22:23Speaker 1: told her he was heading out for a camping trip
- 22:27Speaker 1: in the Olympic National Forests. I mean the timing lined up.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Jess could be gone for three days and he'd be
- 22:35Speaker 1: home by the time she returned, and Teresa could have
- 22:39Speaker 1: a weekend to herself.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I mean, mom's we all get it. Sometimes you need
- 22:43Speaker 2: some mom time. Now.
- 22:46Speaker 1: On October ninth, Jessica called home to check and with
- 22:50Speaker 1: her mom, and Teresa answered. Jessica later said something sounded
- 22:55Speaker 1: off okay, She said her mom didn't sound like herself,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and she said something felt wrong, but she couldn't quite
- 23:04Speaker 1: explain it. Guys, that's called a gut feeling intuition.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Okay, even at the age.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Of you know, twelve, you can have it now. By Sunday,
- 23:16Speaker 1: October tenth, Teresa was supposed to pick up Jessica from
- 23:19Speaker 1: her friend's house. Guys, she never showed up, and everyone
- 23:25Speaker 1: agreed that is not like her at all.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Days pasted, Jessica tried calling both her mom and her stepdad.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Neither were answering. She wound up staying at her friend's
- 23:38Speaker 1: house for an entire week, waiting what the absolute fuckery?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Where was the stepdad?
- 23:52Speaker 2: Okay now.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Finally, on Friday, October seventeenth, seven days past, guys, Jessica
- 24:01Speaker 1: reached her stepfather. Richard told her your mother's been using
- 24:06Speaker 1: drugs and that she wasn't coming back. Jessica said this
- 24:11Speaker 1: story made no sense. Her mother was not that kind
- 24:15Speaker 1: of person. I don't like you, Richard. I think you
- 24:20Speaker 1: are evil.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Now.
- 24:23Speaker 1: When Jessica returned home, she immediately noticed things that didn't
- 24:27Speaker 1: add up. First, her mother's truck was still in the
- 24:31Speaker 1: driveway with the keys in the ignition. All of her
- 24:36Speaker 1: mother's belongings were in the house, but yet she was
- 24:42Speaker 1: off doing drugs and not coming back. Really, Richard, how
- 24:45Speaker 1: did she leave? Why is her truck outside? Why is
- 24:48Speaker 1: the key in the ignition? I have a lot of questions,
- 24:52Speaker 1: but Jessica said what really stood out Richard's pest control van,
- 24:57Speaker 1: which was usually filthy, was now spotless inside and out.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Inside there was only a single green raincoat. And guess
- 25:10Speaker 1: all of his camping gear that he supposedly used during
- 25:14Speaker 1: his trip was already packed neatly in.
- 25:17Speaker 2: The shed, which was not like him. Okay.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Just a few days later, Jessica learned her stepfather had
- 25:24Speaker 1: called her dad, Steve, arranging for her to move in
- 25:28Speaker 1: with him and her brother. Her dad drove six hours
- 25:32Speaker 1: to pick her up.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Teresa's loved ones became worried and panicked. They at first
- 25:40Speaker 1: assumed Richard had filed a missing person report. Guess what, guys,
- 25:44Speaker 1: he hadn't He didn't tell anybody anything. Okay, he hadn't
- 25:49Speaker 1: called the police at all. Tell me what man's wife.
- 25:57Speaker 1: If you go on a camping trip and you come
- 25:59Speaker 1: home in your wife's cars in the driveway with the
- 26:04Speaker 1: key and the ignition and all of her stuffs inside.
- 26:08Speaker 1: What husband doesn't start calling friends, family, and the police.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Somebody tell me, anybody in chat want to tell me
- 26:16Speaker 1: would you do that, because let me tell you, I
- 26:19Speaker 1: would be blowing up everybody's phone and I'd be calling
- 26:22Speaker 1: the police.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 1: It wasn't until October twenty third, nearly two weeks later,
- 26:30Speaker 1: that her sister in law Julie, contacted authorities and officially
- 26:35Speaker 1: reported Teresa missing. Guys, there's more. Around the same time,
- 26:43Speaker 1: Richard told police that his forty five caliber Colt nineteen
- 26:48Speaker 1: eleven handgun had gone missing, but he still didn't report
- 26:53Speaker 1: his wife. He reported the gun missing, but not his wife. Richard,
- 27:01Speaker 1: you report your gun missing, but not your wife. As
- 27:06Speaker 1: of today, the gun, like Teresa, has never been found. Okay, guys,
- 27:14Speaker 1: I have so many red flags, red flag, red flag,
- 27:17Speaker 1: red flag, Richard. No, Now I think we can say
- 27:22Speaker 1: most hubitspons would be distraught, begging for answers. Richard was calm,
- 27:29Speaker 1: and within a month a month, he had a new
- 27:33Speaker 1: girlfriend and completely scrubbed Teresa from his life. He moved
- 27:38Speaker 1: her belongings into a storage unit, but didn't make the payments.
- 27:44Speaker 1: All of Teresa's belongings were auctioned off everything. If that
- 27:51Speaker 1: isn't a red flag, I'm going to tell you that
- 27:54Speaker 1: should be a definition of a red flag.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Didn't call a family member and say, hey, put everything here,
- 28:01Speaker 1: y'all might want to pay, or hey do you want
- 28:03Speaker 1: these things? No, moved them in, then didn't pay the bill,
- 28:08Speaker 1: so that all got auctioned off or thrown away.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Guys, this is.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Pictures with her kids. These are items that Jessica and Byron.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Byron is not her brother. That's the other
- 28:22Speaker 1: case her. Yes, I'm sorry. I am so mad at Richard. Okay,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I am somebody who not the same situation. But the
- 28:33Speaker 1: pictures that were in my mom's house, a lot of
- 28:36Speaker 1: them are destroyed. My childhood was destroyed, and it's devastating. Okay,
- 28:41Speaker 1: Jessica has said on record it devastated her. Okay, in
- 28:46Speaker 1: just for a matter of weeks, she lost her mom,
- 28:49Speaker 1: the home she had, and every item that reminded her
- 28:54Speaker 1: of her mom.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Now, police investigated other possibilities, including whether Teresa could have
- 29:02Speaker 1: fallen victim to a serial offender known as Cowboy Mike Bray,
- 29:07Speaker 1: but he was ultimately ruled out, the focus returned to Richard.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Teresa's family believed he had grown controlling and possibly moved
- 29:18Speaker 1: her to Rainier to isolate her standard motive for people right.
- 29:28Speaker 1: The timing was also suspicious. Teresa disappeared the same weekend
- 29:33Speaker 1: Jessica was away, and Richard claimed to be on a
- 29:36Speaker 1: solo cramping camping trip. Guys, no one could confirm that. Okay,
- 29:43Speaker 1: so did he really go camping? I am assuming back
- 29:46Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety nine, it's like it is now. When
- 29:48Speaker 1: you check in to a national park or camping facility,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you register the car, the license plate, they give you
- 29:56Speaker 1: something to stick in the window. I know we went
- 29:59Speaker 1: camping by back in the nineties, you still checked in
- 30:02Speaker 1: with somebody, Okay, I mean this is not an alibi
- 30:08Speaker 1: to me. Okay, and I have so many more questions,
- 30:11Speaker 1: like I couldn't find anything. Did they searched the house?
- 30:16Speaker 1: Did they search the van? I mean he had at
- 30:19Speaker 1: least a week alone to clean, to coverage tracks, and
- 30:23Speaker 1: to hide any evidence. Okay, this is insane to me.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Why wasn't the van taking into evidence? I couldn't find anything,
- 30:36Speaker 1: So if anybody knows, if anybody knows, this family. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: need to know because it's insanity to me. Again, Okay,
- 30:43Speaker 1: I get, I know a person has the right to
- 30:46Speaker 1: not incriminate themselves, but why in the hell can't they
- 30:51Speaker 1: question and pressure this man and take possession of that truck,
- 30:57Speaker 1: that van.
- 30:59Speaker 2: And so to the house.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Okay, it's all way too coincidental, a minu opinion, and
- 31:05Speaker 1: I don't believe in quinkydinks. Yes, that's my word. I
- 31:08Speaker 1: do not believe in quinkidinks.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Two years later, investigators officially announced what everyone feared that
- 31:19Speaker 1: they were assuming. Teresa Murphy was deceased.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Jessica remembers her mom as her best friend, saying she
- 31:29Speaker 1: was loving, she was hard working, she was caring. She said,
- 31:33Speaker 1: my fondest memories are of us going to parts parks
- 31:37Speaker 1: and just talking for hours.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I could go to her with anything. It's been over.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Two decades, okay, and Teresa's case remains open and Richard
- 31:55Speaker 1: still remains free.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'm going to ask you to go like and follow
- 32:01Speaker 1: the Help Find Teresa Davison facebook page. Okay, let's show
- 32:07Speaker 1: Jessica and her brother love and support. Share the missing
- 32:13Speaker 1: person flyers that we have posted on our Midday Missing
- 32:17Speaker 1: Facebook page, and if you know of anything, and if
- 32:21Speaker 1: you know Richard, I'd love to have a talk with him.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I would love for him to explain to me why
- 32:28Speaker 1: he's a piece of shit. Even if your marriage wasn't
- 32:31Speaker 1: going great and you were thinking you want a deleiver,
- 32:34Speaker 1: why did you get with another woman in a month.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Why did you not give her children, her belongings or
- 32:41Speaker 1: her loved ones.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Why?
- 32:43Speaker 1: I need to know, Richard, because in my mind, that
- 32:46Speaker 1: makes you primary person of interest number one. I'm not
- 32:51Speaker 1: law enforcement, but I don't like you, Okay, So if
- 32:55Speaker 1: you know anything, please call the Oregon State Police at
- 32:59Speaker 1: eight hundred four four two zero seven seven six because
- 33:05Speaker 1: her family deserves to know what happened to Teresa. Okay,
- 33:12Speaker 1: let's share this video. Let's share Teresa and Chandy story.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Because these two men, John and Richard. I don't like y'all.
- 33:22Speaker 2: John.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I know you're just true, but still I hope you're
- 33:26Speaker 1: burning in hell. Richard. I hope karma gets you, Okay,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I hope karma gets you. Sorry, guys, I these two
- 33:37Speaker 1: men and Dustin on court with Lama, I don't like them.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Okay, I have and take a deep breath. Okay.
- 33:50Speaker 1: So I am going to give you guys some tips. Okay,
- 33:56Speaker 1: it says after dark safety tips.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I don't know why it says that it should just
- 33:59Speaker 2: be Terry' STIPs.
- 34:01Speaker 1: So, guys, Halloween should be fun and not frightening, okay,
- 34:06Speaker 1: at least not in real life. Halloween is this weekend, Okay,
- 34:10Speaker 1: whether you're trick or treating with the kids, heading to
- 34:12Speaker 1: a costume party, or hosting your own spooky celebration like me,
- 34:18Speaker 1: I wanted to give a few Terry approved safety trips
- 34:23Speaker 1: to help keep the night safe and memorable. Guys, Halloween
- 34:28Speaker 1: is supposed to be a fun time. Unfortunately, there's evil
- 34:33Speaker 1: people in this world, like Richard, like John, like Dustin.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Okay, I want you.
- 34:40Speaker 1: To make sure costumes are visible in the dark. Okay,
- 34:44Speaker 1: add reflective tape, give them glow sticks. You can get
- 34:49Speaker 1: both of those things at the dollar store and carry
- 34:52Speaker 1: a flashlight. Drivers can't avoid what they can't see. A
- 34:56Speaker 1: lot of neighborhoods like mine, some of the houses have lighting.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Street lights are very few and far between.
- 35:05Speaker 2: We do not have sidewalks.
- 35:08Speaker 1: It's it's rough, Okay, you can't see the little ones
- 35:13Speaker 1: also stick together. No one should be out trick or
- 35:18Speaker 1: treating alone, okay, even a short distance. For example, when
- 35:23Speaker 1: my littles were here for Halloween one year and little
- 35:29Speaker 1: guy AJ wanted to run across the street over to Gingjin's,
- 35:34Speaker 1: I sat outside and watched him. Okay, go in groups
- 35:37Speaker 1: when you can keep a trusted adult or friend within
- 35:43Speaker 1: sights at all times.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Guys.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Unfortunately it doesn't happen often, but back in the two thousands,
- 35:51Speaker 1: I remember there was a report of two kids out
- 35:55Speaker 1: trick or treating by theirself. They were like ten or eleven,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and they knocked on the door and the guy tried
- 36:00Speaker 1: to grab them. Okay, please, okay, adults go with them,
- 36:06Speaker 1: even if they're twelve or thirteen. Okay, use sidewalks when
- 36:10Speaker 1: you have them, crosswalks, walk on the grass, Try not
- 36:14Speaker 1: to walk.
- 36:15Speaker 2: In the street.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Okay. Avoid cutting through alleys or dark yards. Okay, you
- 36:21Speaker 1: never know what's lurking. Avoid mask or props that block
- 36:26Speaker 1: your vision or make it hard to move.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Okay. If a custom includes.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Fake weapons, make sure they're obviously props, not realistic replicas.
- 36:39Speaker 1: You can put the glow tape on them so that
- 36:43Speaker 1: you can tell it's a toy. Tire ribon to it.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Do something now, we haven't had it happen in a
- 36:50Speaker 1: long time that I've heard of. Don't eat anything that's unwrapped, okay,
- 36:56Speaker 1: homemade by a stranger, or looks tampered with, and guys
- 37:00Speaker 1: win in doubt, throw it out.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Now, if you're coming to my house and you're my
- 37:07Speaker 1: neighbor's grandkids, they know me, we know them, were in.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Each other's house, that's different. But if you're just.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Going to do random trick or treating, please okay. Also
- 37:20Speaker 1: make sure everyone who's with the group their phone is
- 37:23Speaker 1: charged and location sharing is turned on.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:28Speaker 1: If you are sending your kids to trick or troop
- 37:31Speaker 1: with some friends and another adult, pop one of those
- 37:35Speaker 1: air tags in their costume in their shoe so that
- 37:39Speaker 1: you can track them at all times. Guys, I know
- 37:42Speaker 1: it sounds crazy, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Now, if you're an adult and you're going out to
- 37:51Speaker 1: a costume party or you're doing a Halloween pub crawl,
- 37:54Speaker 1: plan a safe ride home before you go. Okay, never
- 37:59Speaker 1: get in a car with someone who's been drinking.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Do not do it.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Not only would you be putting yourself in danger, you're
- 38:06Speaker 1: also putting the littles in danger by driving intoxicated. Okay,
- 38:12Speaker 1: this makes me sad to say this. Please keep your
- 38:15Speaker 1: pets indoors, especially black cats and black dogs. Okay, people
- 38:21Speaker 1: are cruel, keep them inside.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Also, it helps keep them calm because the costumes, the decorations,
- 38:30Speaker 1: things like that can stress them.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I say this every time I give tips. If something
- 38:37Speaker 1: fills off, trust your gut, trust your gut.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Now I want you to remember this. Real monsters don't
- 38:46Speaker 1: wear masks, so stay alert, stay aware, look out for
- 38:51Speaker 1: one another. Like I said, Halloween is meant for scares,
- 38:55Speaker 1: not tragedies, and I'm not trying to scare you guys.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I just want everyone to have a wonderful and safe Halloween.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I mean, if we ever make Halloween for adults where
- 39:08Speaker 1: I can go trick or treating and get wine, I
- 39:11Speaker 1: would go trick or treating.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And another thing, if you're handing out candy, still give
- 39:17Speaker 1: candy to the teenagers. If they knock on your door
- 39:20Speaker 1: and they're not in costume, go ahead and give them
- 39:23Speaker 1: some candy. I would rather them be out trick or
- 39:27Speaker 1: treating than out potentially causing mischief, egging houses, or doing
- 39:34Speaker 1: other things. Don't shame them for not having costumes. Same
- 39:38Speaker 1: thing with little kids. If they don't show up on
- 39:41Speaker 1: a costume, it's okay. Economy's tight. Not everybody has money
- 39:46Speaker 1: to make a costume. Just give the kids some candy, Okay,
- 39:51Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Also, some kids are allergic to nuts
- 39:57Speaker 1: and candy. Try to have something if you can hand
- 40:00Speaker 1: that you can give to those kids. We hand out
- 40:03Speaker 1: little gummy fruit gummy snacks. We have those, and this
- 40:06Speaker 1: year I even found little individual bags of gummy bears
- 40:10Speaker 1: to give out in case they have a nut allergy,
- 40:13Speaker 1: chocolate allergy, or something like that. Okay, thank you guys
- 40:20Speaker 1: for joining me. I look forward to seeing you again
- 40:24Speaker 1: on Wednesday for our next episode of Mintay Missing Lady
- 40:29Speaker 1: and Gray says Boo on mask guys, Mask of Fun,
- 40:34Speaker 1: Hi Lady, Maskrofun. Okay, I think last year I even
- 40:41Speaker 1: dressed up for the podcast is Big Bird. So it's
- 40:45Speaker 1: okay for adults to get in and have fun too.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Okay.
- 40:50Speaker 1: My tips are not meant to scare you. They are
- 40:54Speaker 1: meant to maybe make you think of something that you
- 40:56Speaker 1: didn't think of. Okay, we're all so post to have
- 41:00Speaker 1: each other's back, and if you have any tips that
- 41:04Speaker 1: you think I should share, you can email me Terry
- 41:08Speaker 1: at tcwtmedia dot com. I try to share things about
- 41:13Speaker 1: weather related house related safety tips. Okay, so please share
- 41:19Speaker 1: them now. I am going to remind you, guys that

- 45:17Speaker 1: you again for being here. Missing persons cases are something
- 45:21Speaker 1: very true to my heart and just helping these families
- 45:25Speaker 1: however much we can means a lot to me, but
- 45:29Speaker 1: most importantly them.
- 45:31Speaker 2: So guys, until next time.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Please stay safe, stay aware, most importantly, if you see
