- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Welcome to a Wednesday on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Wednesday afternoon,
- 0:09Speaker 2: that is, July 29th. We're at 76 degrees. Your fearless
- 0:13Speaker 2: leader is here as always, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570
- 0:17Speaker 2: WKBN from the kingdom of Mahoning. And what a lovely
- 0:21Speaker 2: day we got going today with 76 degrees. Nice to
- 0:24Speaker 2: be with you. So many things happening. that are going
- 0:28Speaker 2: on today. So many things to discuss nationally, locally. Oh,
- 0:37Speaker 2: there's a lot to get covered here. Let's see what
- 0:40Speaker 2: awaits me. You're on the.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Air.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Hey, Ron.
- 0:45Speaker 4: How's that market doing for you today?
- 0:48Speaker 5: Way down again.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Gee, why is it down big time? Why is it down?
- 0:59Speaker 5: Well, the war is costing $ 2 billion a day, and
- 1:03Speaker 5: AI stocks are leading the market down as well as
- 1:09Speaker 5: other chip stocks because the market isn't sure, they're very uncertain,
- 1:16Speaker 5: that the AI stocks are will bring in a lot
- 1:20Speaker 5: of revenue and make a lot of profit for all
- 1:24Speaker 5: the capital that is flowing into these companies.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Watch this. I'm going to impress folks. Are you ready?
- 1:30Speaker 2: I'm going to impress Fort Lauderdale. Frank, he's going to say,
- 1:34Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Ron, you're spot on. There's also
- 1:38Speaker 2: another reason for that. It's because there's concern over Chinese
- 1:41Speaker 2: chip makers being able to make some of these chips
- 1:44Speaker 2: much less expensive than we're making them here.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So that's an aspect of it, too. Come on, give
- 1:50Speaker 4: me an aye-aye, Captain, on that, Frankie.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Aye-aye, you're very good. Yes, that was in the news yesterday.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So you're not going to pull a wool over my eyes,
- 2:00Speaker 2: even though you're sitting down there in Fort Lauderdale with
- 2:02Speaker 2: all them young chicks. I mean, the bottom line is,
- 2:06Speaker 2: like you say, the war's on again, off again. Oils,
- 2:11Speaker 2: who knows where that can be? We talk about it
- 2:13Speaker 2: so much, you know, running out of the reserves. The
- 2:16Speaker 2: war's on, it's off. Tariffs are on and off. AI is...
- 2:20Speaker 2: who knows what's going on there. But when you're looking
- 2:23Speaker 2: at 800, down 800 at 1.600, I think is where
- 2:28Speaker 2: it stands now. You sit back and you say to yourself, oh, my,
- 2:31Speaker 2: you know what I mean? It's not easy if you're
- 2:33Speaker 2: close to retirement or you're in retirement. I mean, those
- 2:37Speaker 2: are troubling numbers.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Oh, correct. But the reason I called today, you had
- 2:43Speaker 5: a woman call Monday, and wanted to know my opinion
- 2:49Speaker 5: on socialism because the Democrats are electing so many socialist
- 2:55Speaker 5: politicians now.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:58Speaker 5: And I want to tell her socialism is a political
- 3:02Speaker 5: and economic ideology that was made popular by Karl Marx
- 3:07Speaker 5: and Frederick Engels in their book, The Communist Manifesto. And
- 3:13Speaker 5: they claimed that capitalism would collapse, From within, the industrial
- 3:20Speaker 5: factory workers would take over the factories and institute a
- 3:25Speaker 5: dictatorship of the proletariat. That's what the Europeans call factory workers. Now, Ron,
- 3:32Speaker 5: I want to tell this lady, socialism has failed in
- 3:36Speaker 5: every country it's been tried. And today, socialists believe in
- 3:41Speaker 5: taxing the rich, in redistributing wealth from wealthy Americans to
- 3:46Speaker 5: the working class and the poor. And I will use
- 3:50Speaker 5: socialist mayor of New York City, Zoran Mamdani, as an example.
- 3:56Speaker 5: As wealthy people and working class people flee the city,
- 4:00Speaker 5: Mamdani threatens that those who remain will get burned by
- 4:05Speaker 5: what he calls his warmth of collectivism. Because wealthy people
- 4:14Speaker 5: are not paying their fair share in taxes. Can you
- 4:17Speaker 5: believe that?
- 4:20Speaker 2: For as long as I've been around, Frank, I've heard
- 4:23Speaker 2: the Democrats say wealthy people aren't paying their fair share,
- 4:26Speaker 2: but they never define what is the fair share. They
- 4:30Speaker 2: never do that. I mean, it's insanity because if you
- 4:34Speaker 2: really look at the tax breakdown, the wealthy pay the
- 4:37Speaker 2: majority of taxes in this country.
- 4:40Speaker 4: We have 50% of the.
- 4:40Speaker 2: People that don't.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Anyone with a job making more than minimal wage is
- 4:48Speaker 5: not paying their fair share.
- 4:51Speaker 2: But, I mean, it's 50% of the people in the
- 4:54Speaker 2: country really aren't paying any taxes, and so many of
- 4:57Speaker 2: them are getting more return than they've ever paid in.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's unreal, but we shall see as time
- 5:04Speaker 2: goes on.
- 5:05Speaker 5: But, by the way, you know, not paying their fair share,
- 5:10Speaker 5: Let me see what the number is.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Well, as you do that, I'll just tell people a
- 5:14Speaker 2: Dow is down 731. The S & P is down 13.
- 5:17Speaker 2: NASDAQ's down. Nothing's good.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, nothing's good. And also precious metals are down,
- 5:29Speaker 5: commodities too. But the top 10% wealthiest Americans, Ron, are
- 5:35Speaker 5: already paying more than the bottom 10% combined. I mean
- 5:41Speaker 5: the bottom 90% combined.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Now say that again so everyone can take that in.
- 5:48Speaker 5: The top 10% wealthiest Americans are paying more than the
- 5:53Speaker 5: bottom 90% combined.
- 5:56Speaker 6: And the U.S.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Tax system is the most progressive in the developed world.
- 6:01Speaker 5: And Ron, socialism thrives on class warfare and class envy.
- 6:08Speaker 5: And Mom Dommy went on X and said, anyone with
- 6:12Speaker 5: a second home worth more than $ 5 million that you
- 6:16Speaker 5: got mail, presumably an increased tax notice, how dare you
- 6:22Speaker 5: have a second home?
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's just going to be terrible. An absolute disaster. I
- 6:29Speaker 2: would imagine this headline as I'm reading, Trump says U.S.
- 6:31Speaker 2: will give Iran a beating after surprise attacks. So this
- 6:37Speaker 2: is just going to continue to go on. And we
- 6:39Speaker 2: are at a crucial time, Fort Lauderdale, Frank, with our
- 6:42Speaker 2: oil reserves and where oil prices can go and with
- 6:45Speaker 2: this thing continuing to go on. And I don't see
- 6:52Speaker 2: a good way out of this mess.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I really, really don't.
- 6:54Speaker 7: Do you?
- 6:56Speaker 5: No, G2 said, boy, I wish we should have that
- 7:02Speaker 5: $ 224 billion worth of oil that Biden used on COVID. Well,
- 7:10Speaker 5: you know what? In five months of war, we've depleted
- 7:16Speaker 5: our strategic oil reserve. You know what would happen if
- 7:20Speaker 5: we had that $ 224 billion back? The war could last.
- 7:25Speaker 5: another two years before Americans started feeling the full impact.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Well, you know, some of it Biden had to use
- 7:33Speaker 2: because of the Ukrainian situation. I mean, there's no way mathematically,
- 7:37Speaker 2: and you're a math whiz, that you can take roughly, what,
- 7:40Speaker 2: 30 million barrels out of the equation and let's make
- 7:42Speaker 2: some adjustments for pipelines and stuff. Let's just say you're
- 7:46Speaker 2: 20 million or 19 million barrels down per day, Frank.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I mean, so let's see, supply and demand, if you
- 7:52Speaker 2: got 19 less million barrels a day, that means prices
- 7:56Speaker 2: have a tendency to go up. And when you stop
- 7:58Speaker 2: tapping into your reserves, you're going to see that number,
- 8:02Speaker 2: the 19 million barrels go up even higher because you're
- 8:05Speaker 2: not going to be able to use your supplies. Not
- 8:07Speaker 2: optimistic there, Fort Lauderdale, Frank. You might have to give
- 8:10Speaker 2: up three of your harem supplies.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 5: And, you know, the rest of the world doesn't have
- 8:18Speaker 5: a strategic petroleum reserve to support the military and for war.
- 8:23Speaker 5: They have it for economic emergencies.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, there is nothing good going on economically. When you
- 8:32Speaker 2: look at the market today, when you look at the
- 8:35Speaker 2: oil reserves, when you look at the markets, when you
- 8:37Speaker 2: look at, well, we bombed them and that's not working.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Now we're going to bomb them some more. I mean,
- 8:43Speaker 4: this guy has.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I'll say it again, he has gotten into a mess
- 8:49Speaker 2: and there isn't a good way out.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Declare victory and bring.
- 8:57Speaker 2: The troops home.
- 8:58Speaker 4: And that might be the best option.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I mean, that really might be the best option because
- 9:02Speaker 2: none of the problems that are created were there before
- 9:06Speaker 2: he did this. The strait was open. We didn't have
- 9:08Speaker 2: all of the issues that we have going on that
- 9:11Speaker 2: are affecting the oil situation. He created this problem. He
- 9:15Speaker 2: created that situation. And if he pulls out and declares victory,
- 9:21Speaker 2: will that cure itself? I don't know. He's made a mess,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and economically, who knows where we're heading.
- 9:27Speaker 4: All right, Mr.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Fort Lauderdale Frank. It's always my honor, sir, to speak
- 9:32Speaker 2: with you.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Okay. Have a good day, Ron.
- 9:34Speaker 2: There he is, Fort Lauderdale Frank. Ron Ferb, you're on
- 9:37Speaker 2: the air.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Hello.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Hello.
- 9:39Speaker 9: Yeah, Ron, I just want to mention, I don't know
- 9:42Speaker 9: if people know it or not, but there's 2,026 tax
- 9:45Speaker 9: values for your properties on the website now. And before
- 9:50Speaker 9: voting in levies, maybe they should go online and check
- 9:53Speaker 9: what the new tax values look like.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Does it show what your taxes are going to be?
- 9:58Speaker 9: No, but it shows you your value. Milton showed a 37%
- 10:02Speaker 9: tax gain or value gain. Well, congratulations, Milton.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Austintown was like.
- 10:07Speaker 10: 17, 18%.
- 10:07Speaker 4: You can figure Austintown 20%, Milton 40%.
- 10:17Speaker 9: Boardman's probably the same thing as Austin Town, 20%. Those
- 10:20Speaker 9: are the ones I was checking.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Now, can you tell me out here, that sounds like
- 10:24Speaker 4: double digits.
- 10:27Speaker 11: Oh, I mean, I.
- 10:28Speaker 9: Got a place in Florida where I'm not. You got
- 10:31Speaker 9: a daughter in Florida. You know how Florida works. It's 3%
- 10:33Speaker 9: for a resident annually. Newton just took almost a 40% gain.
- 10:42Speaker 9: In three years, Milton has taken leads to downs. I mean,
- 10:46Speaker 9: Milton was in a cheap place before this game.
- 10:50Speaker 2: The only good news that I can pass along to
- 10:52Speaker 2: you is because of State Rep. Dave Thomas, you won't
- 10:55Speaker 2: get a huge increase like you did with the past appraisal.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It's going to be capped at the rate of inflation,
- 11:02Speaker 2: but it's still going to be an increase.
- 11:03Speaker 9: Oh, that's good.
- 11:04Speaker 4: It's still going to be an increase.
- 11:05Speaker 2: He did a great thing that will benefit Democrats and Republicans.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It will benefit everybody because he capped it at. the
- 11:12Speaker 2: rate of inflation. That's because of Dave Thomas, and it's
- 11:15Speaker 2: because of the Republicans that they were able to do that.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But it's still an additional increase, an unvoted increase that
- 11:22Speaker 2: you're going to get on your property taxes. We just
- 11:25Speaker 2: keep hammering people and hammering and hammering them. I mean,
- 11:30Speaker 2: this is craziness that's going on. We're going to price
- 11:33Speaker 2: everybody out of their home as this continues to go on.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Something needs to be done. DeSantis is such a great governor. God,
- 11:42Speaker 2: I hate to see a guy like that term limited out.
- 11:44Speaker 2: He's an incredible governor. I would vote for him for
- 11:47Speaker 2: president in a heartbeat.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I think he's a very intelligent man.
- 11:51Speaker 9: One more question. Did they say that if you could
- 11:54Speaker 9: call somebody when your representative is about foregoing this tax increase,
- 11:59Speaker 9: was it a commissioner or who was it?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Who do you call? Your entities can decline the increase.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Your school system, your township. They can– all of the
- 12:09Speaker 2: people who say, boy, we understand the trouble and the
- 12:12Speaker 2: pain that's happening, and they can decline it. But I
- 12:16Speaker 2: saw yesterday– So.
- 12:17Speaker 9: It's your township administrators? Don't interrupt you.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, we shall see. We shall see.
- 12:23Speaker 9: But I'm saying, is it your township administrators you call?
- 12:26Speaker 9: Is that who you call?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 4: You know, it's not going to hurt.
- 12:30Speaker 2: They should certainly be informed that they do not have
- 12:33Speaker 2: to accept– they do not have to take the increase.
- 12:37Speaker 4: But you know governments.
- 12:38Speaker 2: You know what government will do. Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 4: What is DeSantis doing in Florida?
- 12:44Speaker 2: He's saying the only thing that we can do to
- 12:46Speaker 2: help our citizens out is with taxes. And we can
- 12:49Speaker 2: lower taxes so that they can keep more of their money.
- 12:52Speaker 2: His attitude is so refreshing. It is just so refreshing.
- 12:57Speaker 9: I'd like to see more of it. I know that.
- 12:59Speaker 9: But anyhow, I just wanted you to know that you
- 13:01Speaker 9: can let your listeners know to go on the website,
- 13:03Speaker 9: look at the new values, and they can see where
- 13:05Speaker 9: things are heading anyhow. Okay.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Well, thanks for that, Shuri News.
- 13:10Speaker 12: All right.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Thanks, buddy. Appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 13:14Speaker 13: Ronald.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It's Ted the Conservative.
- 13:18Speaker 6: We haven't talked in quite a while, but after this morning,
- 13:22Speaker 6: even though I'm traveling and I'm up in New Jersey,
- 13:24Speaker 6: I felt like I had to call you.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Ah, yeah, the Fauci hearing, you mean.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Holy cow. I've got a lot I've wanted to share
- 13:33Speaker 6: with you regarding Fauci and Iran and Trump's inflation. I
- 13:38Speaker 6: don't really care about our feelings.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Let's start with Fauci.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Where would you like to start?
- 13:43Speaker 4: Absolutely Fauci.
- 13:44Speaker 2: When I was seeing it this morning, I'm telling you,
- 13:49Speaker 2: he takes the fifth. First of all, he's got a
- 13:51Speaker 2: ton of lawyers. He takes the fifth.
- 13:54Speaker 14: And..
- 13:57Speaker 2: I understand he's trying to come up with a special
- 13:59Speaker 2: virus just to put the kibbutz on Rand Paul.
- 14:05Speaker 6: You might be right. It is amazing the things that
- 14:10Speaker 6: have come out. That little SOB should be hung from
- 14:12Speaker 6: the highest pole in town.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Explain to our listeners.
- 14:15Speaker 2: We'll sit back.
- 14:17Speaker 6: If you have a government official, let alone the chief
- 14:22Speaker 6: medical officer of your country, lie to you once, then
- 14:25Speaker 6: nothing is credible. Over the weekend, that diary gift came out.
- 14:29Speaker 6: I didn't pay any attention because I didn't think there
- 14:32Speaker 6: was any relevance to it. I thought it was just
- 14:35Speaker 6: some scheme or joke going along. And as the days
- 14:38Speaker 6: went on, I started noticing it more and more in
- 14:40Speaker 6: reading articles and started looking at it. And the guy
- 14:45Speaker 6: is a proven liar. His own words tell you that.
- 14:49Speaker 6: His personal diary tells you that. And I can't believe
- 14:53Speaker 6: Democrats are still defending him after his diary was released.
- 14:58Speaker 6: You know, forget science. You know, let me put it
- 15:01Speaker 6: to you real simple. Forget science. Like I said, remember,
- 15:05Speaker 6: if a guy lies to you, if your chief medical
- 15:07Speaker 6: officer in the United States of America lies to you once,
- 15:12Speaker 6: then you can't take anything he says at face value.
- 15:16Speaker 6: And you have to question it all, whether it's first
- 15:18Speaker 6: him saying masks don't help. Then he said, Matt, do
- 15:23Speaker 6: you help?
- 15:24Speaker 2: Stand by, Ted. This is important, what he's talking about.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Ted the Conservative on Fauci today. NewsRadio 570. I heart radio.
- 15:34Speaker 15: It's Bill Wills with Michael..
- 15:36Speaker 7: WKBN.
- 15:37Speaker 16: All right.
- 15:38Speaker 2: You know this, Ted the Conservative. You know that nothing
- 15:41Speaker 2: is going to happen, folks. I make this prediction of Fauci.
- 15:45Speaker 2: This is why Biden gave him a blanket pardon, and
- 15:51Speaker 2: I think that they knew what he was up to.
- 15:54Speaker 2: They knew what he did. They gave him this blanket pardon,
- 15:57Speaker 2: so you're not going to be able to hold him
- 15:59Speaker 2: accountable for any of this stuff.
- 16:01Speaker 4: But it is important for the public to know.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So talk to our listeners about the Fauci situation today
- 16:07Speaker 2: and just your thoughts.
- 16:09Speaker 6: Well, first of all, you don't give pardons to innocent people,
- 16:13Speaker 6: number one. And number two, innocent people don't claim the
- 16:17Speaker 6: Fifth Amendment over 100 times. He wouldn't answer what color
- 16:22Speaker 6: his tie was, what color the rug was, what day
- 16:24Speaker 6: of the week it was.
- 16:26Speaker 17: Okay?
- 16:26Speaker 6: This guy is scared. I talked to you about how
- 16:29Speaker 6: he lied about masks. Under oath, well, and also, he
- 16:34Speaker 6: does face some legal challenges here because there is, legal
- 16:39Speaker 6: precedents that once you're given immunity, whether it be through
- 16:43Speaker 6: a pardon or congressional immunity, you still must testify. That
- 16:47Speaker 6: doesn't give you the right to ignore a subpoena from
- 16:51Speaker 6: the United States Congress. So he will be held in
- 16:54Speaker 6: contempt of Congress, and we'll see where it goes. I'm
- 16:58Speaker 6: guessing that the Trump Department of Justice will begin to
- 17:02Speaker 6: prosecute him. And this may take some time, but the
- 17:06Speaker 6: little weasel is going to have to speak. So I
- 17:08Speaker 6: told you how he lied about math. He lied about
- 17:11Speaker 6: school closings. Under oath, he testified, he had no role
- 17:16Speaker 6: in the closure of schools. However, in the Little Weasel's
- 17:19Speaker 6: personal diary, where he talks about himself being one of
- 17:23Speaker 6: the most famous people in the world, I can go
- 17:25Speaker 6: on and on about that stuff, he talks gleefully how
- 17:29Speaker 6: he was able to convince leaders of major blue states
- 17:33Speaker 6: to start closing schools. That's another lie. So there's two
- 17:37Speaker 6: of them. Now, get to the science. There's so many
- 17:40Speaker 6: lies there, I can't even begin to tell you. Back
- 17:43Speaker 6: in January, before the epidemic blew up in the country,
- 17:47Speaker 6: he wrote in a personal email to one of his
- 17:50Speaker 6: friends that there was no way this virus came from
- 17:56Speaker 6: the open market. Because it was, I can't remember all
- 18:01Speaker 6: the terminology, but it was so intertwined with stuff. with
- 18:07Speaker 6: different viruses. I mean, it was a gain-of-function virus. They
- 18:11Speaker 6: take one virus, for your listeners that don't know what
- 18:14Speaker 6: a gain-of-function means is, so they get one bat with
- 18:17Speaker 6: a virus. Then they add another virus to that bat,
- 18:20Speaker 6: and they add another virus to that bat, and they
- 18:22Speaker 6: add another virus, and they keep adding these viruses to
- 18:25Speaker 6: see what will happen and how hard it will come
- 18:28Speaker 6: to kill this bat and to kill these viruses. And
- 18:31Speaker 6: Fauci himself, again, in his private journals, said that the
- 18:36Speaker 6: cost of life, irregardless of how much life, the cost
- 18:41Speaker 6: of life was necessary for science to understand how these
- 18:46Speaker 6: viruses work. So what does that tell you about the guy?
- 18:49Speaker 6: I mean, unbelievable. He did one lie after another. Not
- 18:53Speaker 6: one thing the guy said in public that he didn't
- 18:57Speaker 6: contradict personal, in personal conversations, personal communications. whether it was
- 19:03Speaker 6: his Gmail, his work email, his cell phone text messages.
- 19:08Speaker 6: He went so far, Ron, as to have basically a
- 19:11Speaker 6: courier service because he knew he was violating the law.
- 19:15Speaker 6: He destroyed records. I mean, the guy is neat hung.
- 19:20Speaker 6: There's no other way to say it. What he did
- 19:22Speaker 6: to our country, I don't know what the deaths are
- 19:24Speaker 6: in this country. I'm not sure what the COVID number
- 19:27Speaker 6: of deaths were, but I would attribute at least half
- 19:31Speaker 6: of them to him.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Well, I would say this to you.
- 19:36Speaker 2: How many people died by themselves without their family by
- 19:40Speaker 2: their sides in nursing homes and in hospitals? What effect
- 19:45Speaker 2: did it have in closing schools down when it comes
- 19:49Speaker 2: to education? Obviously, he was saying something publicly that he
- 19:55Speaker 2: was writing in his diary, which is just kind of
- 19:58Speaker 2: bizarre that he's got a diary, where he was basically
- 20:01Speaker 2: knowingly lying to the American public at a particular time.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So Why would he go after doctors that say, hey,
- 20:12Speaker 2: ivermectin's working or hydrochloroquine's working and strip their license from them?
- 20:18Speaker 2: You know why?
- 20:19Speaker 6: I can give you a real easy, quick answer because
- 20:21Speaker 6: they talked about this.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Self-enrichment.
- 20:24Speaker 6: Self-enrichment. The guy is a lifetime government employee now worth
- 20:30Speaker 6: in excess of $ 12 million. He was in bed with
- 20:33Speaker 6: the pharmaceutical company. He was using his position and his
- 20:39Speaker 6: employees to seek income for himself outside of his regular paycheck.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Stand by. Back with Ted the Conservative. And more of
- 20:48Speaker 2: your calls. We're here tonight till 6.
- 20:50Speaker 4: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 20:57Speaker 9: U.S.
- 20:57Speaker 18: Senator John Husted of Ohio says he supports data centers
- 21:00Speaker 18: in the Buckeye State, but they must provide their own
- 21:03Speaker 18: basic needs.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Build your own power, and most of them have signed
- 21:06Speaker 2: up to do that.
- 21:07Speaker 4: I have legislation to require that.
- 21:09Speaker 16: That's the way that we get at those issues.
- 21:12Speaker 7: But, you know, also got to make sure that they
- 21:14Speaker 7: put on these complete.
- 21:15Speaker 10: Recycling tools for all their water so they don't use water.
- 21:18Speaker 18: Husted appeared on WTAM 1100's Wilson Snyder this morning. Springfield
- 21:24Speaker 18: Mayor Rob Rue said the city will continue to provide
- 21:26Speaker 18: essential services and maintain safety for everybody, regardless of citizenship status.
- 21:31Speaker 18: His comments come after thousands of Haitian nationals who've been
- 21:34Speaker 18: living in the community lost their legal U.S.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Residency this week. And some 400.
- 21:39Speaker 18: Employees of the Cleveland Public Library have set an August
- 21:42Speaker 18: 24th strike date if no new contract is agreed upon

- 22:05Speaker 1: and Ron Verb. With you till 6 o'clock tonight.
- 22:13Speaker 2: What's important here is that this information get out to
- 22:15Speaker 2: people to understand how evil Fauci is and what the
- 22:19Speaker 2: government and what he was doing and how the Biden
- 22:22Speaker 2: administration protected him with with what they did. I doubt
- 22:28Speaker 2: that anything's going to happen to the old coot and
- 22:31Speaker 2: he's going to get away with it. And but what
- 22:34Speaker 2: he was saying in public and what was reality, he
- 22:38Speaker 2: erased any credibility that that the government could have. He's
- 22:43Speaker 2: surrounded by lawyers. He's taken a fifth. And basically, Dr.
- 22:49Speaker 2: McCullough and Rand Paul, certainly Ron DeSantis, not a doctor,
- 22:54Speaker 2: but a lawyer, all of these people were right. All
- 22:58Speaker 2: of these people and the harm that that man did
- 23:00Speaker 2: to our economy, to the education system and our young people,
- 23:06Speaker 2: to the economy, to people who died alone, and what
- 23:10Speaker 2: he did to doctors who said, whoa, this is working
- 23:13Speaker 2: for our patients. It is nothing but sheer evil. And
- 23:16Speaker 2: I do mean evil. Go ahead with your report, please.
- 23:21Speaker 6: Also, he destroyed the trust of the American people in
- 23:24Speaker 6: science and our government. And, you know, when you lose
- 23:27Speaker 6: someone's trust, it takes you a very long time to
- 23:31Speaker 6: get that back. And when you're talking about the federal government,
- 23:34Speaker 6: they may never get that trust back. You know, it's
- 23:37Speaker 6: funny how the left attacks Kennedy and Trump and all
- 23:40Speaker 6: these other people, the Maha movement. Well, they're not the
- 23:43Speaker 6: ones that broke the trust of the government. They were
- 23:46Speaker 6: actually trying to challenge the government and challenge Fauci because
- 23:51Speaker 6: of what he was saying was wrong. And they became
- 23:55Speaker 6: the targets of the media instead of holding Fauci accountable.
- 23:59Speaker 6: So the credibility is gone, and I'm not sure that
- 24:01Speaker 6: the government ever gets that back. especially with Democrats in Congress,
- 24:06Speaker 6: to be honest with you. I told you before, I
- 24:08Speaker 6: said this weeks ago, I think, again, the biggest threat
- 24:11Speaker 6: to America isn't China or Russia, it's Democrats. You know,
- 24:15Speaker 6: and to take a quick pivot, you've got Democrats in
- 24:18Speaker 6: Minnesota handing out transgender dolls to children where they can
- 24:24Speaker 6: take off the male genitalia and turn the doll into
- 24:27Speaker 6: a woman. I mean, these are six people. You know,
- 24:32Speaker 6: and it's amazing... Everyone's worried about the midterms, and I've
- 24:36Speaker 6: been telling you now for at least two months that
- 24:39Speaker 6: we will not lose the Senate, and I don't think
- 24:41Speaker 6: we're going to lose the House. And it's not because
- 24:44Speaker 6: of Trump, as Frank and others say that the DSA
- 24:48Speaker 6: is growing. It's because they're showing their true colors as
- 24:51Speaker 6: to who they are if people continue to leave that
- 24:54Speaker 6: Democrat party. Because, you know, you sit around long enough,
- 24:58Speaker 6: the truth comes out. These are sick-minded people. And I'm
- 25:02Speaker 6: not saying that the right is correct in everything that
- 25:05Speaker 6: they do, but they're based in common sense. They're based
- 25:08Speaker 6: in family values. They're based in morals. And these people
- 25:12Speaker 6: are just sick, sick people. So I think this is
- 25:17Speaker 6: just the beginning of unraveling of a lot of stuff
- 25:20Speaker 6: that I wish that maybe Congress under Trump would have
- 25:22Speaker 6: started doing a lot sooner than.
- 25:24Speaker 5: A year and a half into his.
- 25:25Speaker 6: Term, just like the Save America Act. They've sat on
- 25:28Speaker 6: their hands and done nothing. We've got just two feckless,
- 25:32Speaker 6: feeble leaders in the House and in the Senate. And
- 25:35Speaker 6: why Trump supported those guys in the beginning, I'll never understand.
- 25:40Speaker 6: But now he's starting to turn on soon, but I
- 25:42Speaker 6: think it might be too late.
- 25:43Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 25:45Speaker 6: And I don't know unless he replaces soon, even in
- 25:48Speaker 6: the next Congress, they're not going to get any different results. Now,
- 25:52Speaker 6: with a couple of those guys, Kentucky being voted out,
- 25:56Speaker 6: There's another one where North Carolina or somewhere, I can't remember,
- 25:59Speaker 6: two Republicans that are now cornered in Texas. These guys
- 26:03Speaker 6: are putting up balls, anything Trump wants to do. Once
- 26:05Speaker 6: they're replaced, it's possible things can get through. But there's
- 26:10Speaker 6: so many other things that I've had on my mind
- 26:12Speaker 6: to discuss with you, but I'm not sure what your
- 26:14Speaker 6: time is.
- 26:15Speaker 7: Well, what are they?
- 26:16Speaker 6: I've got thoughts on Iran. I've got thoughts on Trump.
- 26:18Speaker 6: I've got thoughts on Ukraine.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Well, let me hear them. Iran.
- 26:22Speaker 6: Iran. Now, because I'm critical of Trump doesn't mean I
- 26:31Speaker 6: don't support him.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Correct.
- 26:32Speaker 6: I know the MAGA is what their one-track minds find
- 26:37Speaker 6: that hard to understand, the MAGA cult.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Correct.
- 26:40Speaker 6: Because you know that the MAGA cults come after me before.
- 26:43Speaker 6: They'll probably come after me again, but that's okay. I
- 26:46Speaker 6: kind of enjoy it. You know, Trump, I believe, as
- 26:50Speaker 6: I've told you, I remember the first time I said this.
- 26:53Speaker 6: He's a very narcissistic man. He's a narcissist. He has
- 26:57Speaker 6: to be the focal point of attention anywhere he goes.
- 27:03Speaker 6: And I also am starting to believe not only that,
- 27:07Speaker 6: but I think he's a bully. I think he picks
- 27:11Speaker 6: on people. He's like the guy we went to high
- 27:14Speaker 6: school with or middle school with. You know, there was
- 27:16Speaker 6: always that one guy bullied, everyone picked on, everyone called
- 27:19Speaker 6: him names. But every once in a while, there's a
- 27:22Speaker 6: wildcat that punches back. And when they punch back, that
- 27:26Speaker 6: bully puts his tail between his legs and runs off.
- 27:29Speaker 6: And I think we're seeing that with Trump a little bit.
- 27:32Speaker 6: I think we're seeing that with Russia. Now, I know
- 27:36Speaker 6: some will disagree with me. I think we're seeing that
- 27:39Speaker 6: with China. Many will disagree with me. He loves to
- 27:46Speaker 6: tell you how great things are when really they're not. Now,
- 27:50Speaker 6: you and I both know this. The world knows this.
- 27:53Speaker 6: Russia has been giving Iran... locations of military bases to attack.
- 28:00Speaker 6: And Trump still refuses to believe his own officials. He
- 28:05Speaker 6: had made this statement weeks ago. And Trump's response is, well,
- 28:10Speaker 6: I've asked Vladimir and he said no. I've asked China,
- 28:14Speaker 6: they said no. Well, what do you think, they're going
- 28:16Speaker 6: to say yes? But I think he's intimidated by those
- 28:19Speaker 6: leaders because unlike him, they... They live in a different world.
- 28:26Speaker 6: They're not really, they don't worry themselves with the petty things.
- 28:30Speaker 6: He's a petty man, Trump, you know. These guys, they
- 28:33Speaker 6: have a goal, world dominance. Trump has a goal of
- 28:38Speaker 6: being the most popular guy in the room, being the
- 28:41Speaker 6: guy most liked in the room, you know. And it's
- 28:44Speaker 6: concerning to me that he doesn't have the gonads to
- 28:50Speaker 6: stand up to these guys. So that's a big concern.
- 28:54Speaker 6: I think he's a bully. I think he's a coward.
- 28:56Speaker 6: I think that he's not the great man he might
- 29:01Speaker 6: want you to think he is. Now, does it mean
- 29:03Speaker 6: that he's not a smart guy? Does it mean that
- 29:06Speaker 6: he's not intelligent? He's a business guy. He's successful. Does
- 29:11Speaker 6: it mean he doesn't know what he's doing? So your
- 29:14Speaker 6: personal characteristics... don't necessarily mean that you're dumb and you're
- 29:19Speaker 6: stupid and you can't operate a successful business. You know,
- 29:22Speaker 6: you have to keep those things separate. Having said that,
- 29:25Speaker 6: I think he's doing the right thing in Iran. Now,
- 29:27Speaker 6: while you may not like it, I may not like it,
- 29:31Speaker 6: there's a little reason to believe he might know a
- 29:34Speaker 6: little better than you and I. Now, people that think
- 29:37Speaker 6: he did this because Israel forces hand, I think that's laughable.
- 29:42Speaker 6: Especially with a narcissistic person like Trump. He's not going
- 29:45Speaker 6: to let anyone tell him what to do.
- 29:48Speaker 20: Okay?
- 29:49Speaker 6: I think he had credible intelligence to make him do
- 29:52Speaker 6: what he did. And now you're seeing Saudi Arabia, I
- 29:58Speaker 6: believe it was, get involved. We've got Ukraine now getting involved,
- 30:02Speaker 6: bombing these Iranian shipments coming out of Russia. You know,
- 30:06Speaker 6: this is something of significance that, again, I likened it
- 30:11Speaker 6: back to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Nobody thought it
- 30:14Speaker 6: would happen, even though they knew the intelligence told us
- 30:17Speaker 6: it would happen.
- 30:19Speaker 2: But here's the difference. I mean, we started this conflict.
- 30:26Speaker 2: So I have a difficult.
- 30:29Speaker 6: We're dealing with a country who seeks to eliminate.
- 30:32Speaker 21: Us from the map.
- 30:34Speaker 4: If you buy into that scenario.
- 30:36Speaker 6: You don't believe when people say things?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Listen, no, I don't always believe when people say things
- 30:43Speaker 2: that they'll be able to follow through on them.
- 30:45Speaker 4: No, I do not.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Here's 9-11.
- 30:48Speaker 6: What happened?
- 30:49Speaker 4: You know what?
- 30:51Speaker 2: 9-11 was people who came over here that our government
- 30:54Speaker 2: knew were here and really dropped the ball and stopping them.
- 30:57Speaker 2: But they knew were there. I say this again, and
- 31:02Speaker 2: I don't want to dwell on it. I was not
- 31:04Speaker 2: staying up at night worried about some nuclear threat from Iran.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I don't think they would have done anything to the
- 31:09Speaker 2: United States. They would know what the repercussions were. What
- 31:12Speaker 2: I am deeply concerned about is the situation going on
- 31:15Speaker 2: right now in Iran. Because there isn't an easy way
- 31:19Speaker 2: out of this. You're not going to put boots on
- 31:21Speaker 2: the ground. The American public is not in support of this.
- 31:25Speaker 2: This just sounds or looks to me like another Vietnam.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It looks to me like another situation in the Middle
- 31:30Speaker 2: East that we failed at in the past. He talked
- 31:33Speaker 2: about not getting involved in the Middle East and regime changes.
- 31:37Speaker 2: And we failed at those in the Middle East. It's
- 31:40Speaker 2: a Vietnam-like scenario. This was a mistake. I don't agree
- 31:45Speaker 2: with you. And I'll just say it publicly. I don't
- 31:47Speaker 2: know why he went along with Egypt and Netanyahu. I
- 31:50Speaker 2: don't know if they have something on him. He reversed himself.
- 31:54Speaker 2: He reversed himself on Epstein. He reversed himself on this.
- 31:57Speaker 2: So I don't know. I'm not saying whether they have
- 32:00Speaker 2: something on him or why he did it. But it
- 32:03Speaker 2: was a dumb move. And we are now stuck with
- 32:07Speaker 2: this move. And this move is we've bombed him. We've
- 32:10Speaker 2: bombed him some more. We're going to bomb him again.
- 32:13Speaker 2: And it doesn't seem like it's remedying anything at all.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It doesn't seem like it's solving it. But the reality is,
- 32:20Speaker 2: contrary to what anyone tells you, we're running out of oil.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I mean, we're depleting our reserves. We've taken 20 million
- 32:27Speaker 2: barrels offline. Supply and demand is a realistic issue. And
- 32:32Speaker 2: prices can skyrocket overnight. And there is no easy way
- 32:36Speaker 2: out of this situation for him. He's created a mess
- 32:40Speaker 2: in the energy sector and cheap energy in this country
- 32:43Speaker 2: that very well could take years to get out of.
- 32:46Speaker 2: He potentially can put this country in a severe recession.
- 32:50Speaker 2: and or depression based on where energy prices go. None
- 32:54Speaker 2: of this is worth any of that here in the
- 32:56Speaker 2: United States of America and what could happen. He has
- 33:00Speaker 2: created a mess, period. And this did not work out
- 33:05Speaker 2: how he thought it would, how quickly he thought it would.
- 33:08Speaker 4: He's miscalculated everything to this point in time.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Everything. And we shall see as time goes on where
- 33:18Speaker 2: this heads. We have a serious problem with jet fuel,
- 33:21Speaker 2: with diesel fuel, with gasoline, and with oil reserves. That
- 33:26Speaker 2: is the reality. It is a serious issue. He knows it,
- 33:31Speaker 2: and I don't know how he's going to get out
- 33:34Speaker 2: of this mess. But you know what? You want to
- 33:37Speaker 2: hit me with that some more? You want to tell me,
- 33:40Speaker 2: How it's got to be patriotic that I'm supposed to
- 33:44Speaker 2: pay five or six bucks a gallon or potentially more
- 33:48Speaker 2: because of this asinine thing that he started and got
- 33:51Speaker 2: into without any consent of the American public. Listen, do
- 33:56Speaker 2: I think when this situation goes on, should Congress have
- 33:59Speaker 2: a say?
- 33:59Speaker 4: So you're damn right they should.
- 34:01Speaker 2: This thing cannot just escalate based on one man saying
- 34:05Speaker 2: that we're going to continue to do all of this
- 34:07Speaker 2: and continue to go down this course. There is no
- 34:11Speaker 2: discussion going on. There is no debate going on. And
- 34:14Speaker 2: there's no justification. And the public certainly overwhelmingly is opposed
- 34:19Speaker 2: to it. And putting boots on the ground would be
- 34:21Speaker 2: a disaster. Based on where it's at, the geography of
- 34:25Speaker 2: the area, it would be a disaster. An absolute disaster.
- 34:30Speaker 6: So... I agree with you on that, and I agree
- 34:32Speaker 6: with you on some of the economic things, but history
- 34:34Speaker 6: will be the judge.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Well, fine.
- 34:36Speaker 6: You said you weren't staying up at night worrying about this.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I'm telling you what, I'm not going to go over
- 34:41Speaker 2: this a thousand times. It's repetitious to our listeners. Then
- 34:44Speaker 2: let history be the judge. Because economically, this country is
- 34:50Speaker 2: not in a good economic position. And when you're talking
- 34:52Speaker 2: major recessions, depressions, because of these moves, they are an
- 34:57Speaker 2: economic reality. I don't go along with you. You're seeing
- 35:02Speaker 2: inflation come back. You're seeing the Fed talk about raising
- 35:05Speaker 2: interest rates. There is nothing economically good going on right
- 35:09Speaker 2: now in this country. Nothing.
- 35:14Speaker 6: I don't know that I would agree with that.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Well, take a look at the market. Take a look
- 35:18Speaker 4: at energy prices.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Well, markets up one day, markets up down the next day.
- 35:22Speaker 6: I mean, it's been like a roller coaster week after week.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know what?
- 35:26Speaker 4: That is not normal.
- 35:28Speaker 2: It is not normal, and that has a big effect
- 35:30Speaker 2: on people that are close to retirement, in retirement. I mean,
- 35:34Speaker 2: don't think that that doesn't have a lot of effect.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I'm here to tell you that these policies are making
- 35:39Speaker 2: your paycheck worth less, your savings worth less. We are
- 35:43Speaker 2: all becoming poorer. And we're sitting on the verge of
- 35:46Speaker 2: where energy prices could skyrocket. I mean, they've been tapping
- 35:49Speaker 2: the damn strategic oil reserves to these new lows, period.
- 35:53Speaker 2: That's just the reality of where we are.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Now, what do you want to do? What do you
- 35:58Speaker 4: want to do when you're done doing that? Now, where
- 36:01Speaker 4: do you go?
- 36:03Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 36:04Speaker 6: I would say, you know, and again, fact for fact,
- 36:08Speaker 6: I don't think Trump has dramatically affected the reserves. The
- 36:13Speaker 6: reserve balance is where it is. You know why it's there.
- 36:16Speaker 6: It was there because of what Biden did to try
- 36:18Speaker 6: to control energy prices. He didn't use that oil reserve.
- 36:21Speaker 2: For the right reasons. Okay, well, Biden would argue that
- 36:26Speaker 2: he did it because of the Ukraine-Russia situation. Okay, but,
- 36:30Speaker 2: you know, you've got to reach a point when a
- 36:33Speaker 2: guy's into a presidency.
- 36:34Speaker 6: If that is the case, then why wouldn't the world
- 36:37Speaker 6: be out of oil, Biden?
- 36:38Speaker 2: But here's a reality.
- 36:39Speaker 9: He's been president now for a couple of years.
- 36:44Speaker 2: At some point, blaming Biden isn't going to carry it
- 36:48Speaker 2: with people. Because whether you like it or not, whether
- 36:53Speaker 2: you like it or not, he's tapped the reserves for
- 36:56Speaker 2: 172 million barrels.
- 36:59Speaker 6: So just like when you and G2 had a disagreement
- 37:01Speaker 6: the other night, G2 was giving you facts. Doesn't mean
- 37:04Speaker 6: we don't.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Doesn't mean I agree with that at all.
- 37:08Speaker 2: You know, to me, G2 is falling into the same
- 37:13Speaker 2: trap that the Democrats did. He's falling into the trap
- 37:17Speaker 2: of trying to say it's not that bad. Well, it
- 37:20Speaker 2: is bad. I'm not going to sit.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Here and say that the economy is not bad.
- 37:24Speaker 2: The Democrats made that same argument with Biden and the inflation.
- 37:28Speaker 2: They didn't understand why people didn't get what they were saying. Now,
- 37:33Speaker 2: if he wants to use that same argument by telling people, well,
- 37:36Speaker 2: inflation is only this much and it's only this much
- 37:39Speaker 2: or let's blame Biden for this. It's all bullcrap because
- 37:43Speaker 2: people are living it right now. It's the economy. You're
- 37:47Speaker 2: using the same strategy that the Democrats used. It didn't
- 37:50Speaker 2: work for them, and it's not going to work for Trump.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It's just not going to work. It is a mess.
- 37:55Speaker 6: I'm not sure what G2, the point G2 is trying
- 37:57Speaker 6: to make, but you're right. It is the economy, stupid.
- 38:00Speaker 6: It will always be the economy. And to say, not
- 38:05Speaker 6: only like you said the other day, there's people of
- 38:08Speaker 6: good financial means that are feeling this pinch. So imagine
- 38:12Speaker 6: how the people that aren't the financial means are feeling.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I mean, you're talking about fertilizer. We're talking about crop yields.
- 38:23Speaker 2: We're talking about people starving.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Do you get that?
- 38:27Speaker 2: Whether that's in Africa or crop yields in the United
- 38:30Speaker 2: States of America. We're talking about fertilizer being so damn
- 38:34Speaker 2: expensive farmers can't afford to buy it.
- 38:37Speaker 4: I mean, these are problems that..
- 38:40Speaker 6: Made the irresponsible statement that the day he was elected,
- 38:46Speaker 6: he would bring down prices.
- 38:47Speaker 4: And he isn't.
- 38:48Speaker 6: And you know and I know you can't do that.
- 38:50Speaker 6: You can't undo inflation. If you want to start talking
- 38:54Speaker 6: about deflation..
- 38:55Speaker 4: Well, I don't know.
- 38:56Speaker 2: I think he was undoing it. I countered that by saying,
- 39:00Speaker 2: imagine where we would have been if he never would
- 39:03Speaker 2: have got involved in this war in the first place,
- 39:05Speaker 2: because energy prices were coming down.
- 39:07Speaker 6: I told you a long time ago that he had
- 39:10Speaker 6: turned things around as far as energy prices. and that
- 39:14Speaker 6: things were becoming more affordable. But you can't undo the
- 39:17Speaker 6: grocery prices. You can't undo the inflation.
- 39:20Speaker 2: You can bring it down when you lower energy costs.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I've got to pause. Thank you, Ted.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Back with more in a minute.
- 39:30Speaker 1: You're on 570 WKBN. Ron Verp from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 39:34Speaker 4: And you're on the air.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Those Iranians have always been nice. I mean, I like
- 39:40Speaker 3: them myself. And again, I look at the... news, and
- 39:44Speaker 3: I'm like, why is this news so biased? Why are
- 39:48Speaker 3: they portraying an Islamist as driving into the pride parade?
- 39:55Speaker 3: That's not right.
- 39:56Speaker 13: They're just like us.
- 39:58Speaker 2: The same thing as us.
- 39:59Speaker 3: We all pray to the same God. You know, if
- 40:04Speaker 3: you're stabbing people outside the synagogue in New York, and
- 40:07Speaker 3: it's a guy yelling, and who happens to be an Islamist,
- 40:13Speaker 3: and he's stabbing a Jewish guy, I think we make
- 40:17Speaker 3: too much of it. We should take some numbers and say,
- 40:23Speaker 3: how many Muslims have been killed by Jews, say, in
- 40:28Speaker 3: the last six months, a year? And how many Jews
- 40:31Speaker 3: have been killed by Muslims, Islamists? Do you have any
- 40:36Speaker 3: idea what that.
- 40:37Speaker 12: Number would be, Ron?
- 40:38Speaker 3: Just a percentage, not the exact number. What would you think?
- 40:43Speaker 3: Is there more Islamists killing Jews?
- 40:47Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Well, absolutely.
- 40:50Speaker 2: It depends what side you want to hear. You're going
- 40:52Speaker 2: to hear many people talk about some of the slaughter
- 40:56Speaker 2: that goes on with the Palestinian people in Gaza and Lebanon.
- 41:01Speaker 2: You're going to hear some of the people argue that
- 41:04Speaker 2: it's almost like genocide. And you're going to hear people
- 41:06Speaker 2: arguing in the United States about what happens here.
- 41:11Speaker 4: So, I mean, you've got to..
- 41:13Speaker 3: It happens in Germany and Africa where they're killing Christians. But,
- 41:18Speaker 3: you know, if you don't, that's not an issue for
- 41:22Speaker 3: the person perusing the news.
- 41:24Speaker 12: Okay.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I was just asking what you thought that number might be,
- 41:29Speaker 3: if it might be more Jews killing Islamists or Islamists
- 41:32Speaker 3: killing Jews.
- 41:34Speaker 2: In the United States, it's clear. But what is your point?
- 41:37Speaker 2: Because I'm running short on time here. I've got about
- 41:38Speaker 2: a minute.
- 41:39Speaker 3: And a half. Because we kind of skirt around things,
- 41:47Speaker 3: and some people like to say, well, you know, that's
- 41:52Speaker 3: the Jewish way, kill as many people as you can. Well,
- 41:55Speaker 3: why wouldn't they just nuke the Palestinians? Why didn't they
- 42:02Speaker 3: just drop a mother of all.
- 42:04Speaker 13: Bombs on them?
- 42:05Speaker 2: Well, there's some people that are actually discussing that kind
- 42:08Speaker 2: of stuff, thinking that that should be an alternative, and
- 42:11Speaker 2: that to me is a deeply troubling and disturbing alternative
- 42:15Speaker 2: when or if you would ever go down that road.
- 42:17Speaker 2: All right, I've got to pause. We pause for the
- 42:20Speaker 2: news at 4. Back with more NewsRadio 570 WKBN and
- 42:23Speaker 2: Ron Verb.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Stay tuned.
- 42:28Speaker 22: If you're in a market for studios, this is 570
- 42:32Speaker 22: WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station guaranteed human.
- 42:41Speaker 20: From ABC News, I'm Michelle Franzen. At the White House,
- 42:45Speaker 20: President Trump weighing in on renewed strikes by Iran, saying
- 42:48Speaker 20: he's been updated on the latest attack in Egypt. Ambry,
- 42:51Speaker 20: the maritime security firm, sharing a notification with ABC News
- 42:55Speaker 20: about an explosion, stating it was a drone strike that
- 42:58Speaker 20: caused the initial fire at a U.S.-owned and operated national
- 43:02Speaker 20: gas floating storage facility at the port of Damietta.
- 43:05Speaker 7: I've been briefed.
- 43:07Speaker 21: It's a little more of the same, but it's going
- 43:10Speaker 21: to be straightening out.
- 43:11Speaker 16: It's going to be straightening out.
- 43:13Speaker 7: In the meantime, we're going to be hitting them very
- 43:16Speaker 7: hard because it's our turn to hit them.
- 43:19Speaker 4: They know it's coming. They're asking us not to do it.
- 43:21Speaker 20: The president vowing to hit Iranian targets also for Iranian
- 43:24Speaker 20: strikes on U.S. facilities in Jordan. Uncertainty in the Middle
- 43:28Speaker 20: East impacting oil and gas prices. The Federal Reserve Board,
- 43:33Speaker 20: after its policy meeting, voting to keep interest rates unchanged,
- 43:36Speaker 20: saying the board is weighing factors. Here's new Fed chair
- 43:40Speaker 20: Kevin Warsh.
- 43:40Speaker 23: The economy is showing impressive resilience. Even with recent shocks,
- 43:46Speaker 23: the trends are positive. and reveal solid growth.
- 43:49Speaker 20: Three members of the board voting in favor to raise
- 43:52Speaker 20: interest rates. Medicare recipients may be in for some sticker
- 43:56Speaker 20: shock when they start shopping for next year's plan. A
- 43:58Speaker 20: key part of Medicare Part D prescription drug section of
- 44:02Speaker 20: the program is about to lose a major source of funding.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Dr.
- 44:05Speaker 16: Mehmet Oz heads Medicare and Medicaid services for President Trump
- 44:08Speaker 16: and said in a social media post yesterday that federal
- 44:11Speaker 16: subsidies to the Medicare Part D plan are going away
- 44:14Speaker 16: at the end of the year. because, he says, the
- 44:17Speaker 16: insurers no longer need them. He said most Medicare recipients
- 44:20Speaker 16: will see drug premiums rise by less than $ 10 a
- 44:23Speaker 16: month next year, and that some will see their rates
- 44:26Speaker 16: actually drop.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Jim Ryan, ABC News.
- 44:28Speaker 20: KFF, a health policy nonprofit, says ending the subsidies may
- 44:32Speaker 20: increase premiums for some by as much as $ 20 a month.
- 44:36Speaker 20: You're listening to ABC News.
- 44:40Speaker 24: If you haven't switched to PureTalk because you're not sure

- 45:41Speaker 20: On Capitol Hill today, Dr. Anthony Fauci invoking the Fifth
- 45:44Speaker 20: Amendment at a Senate hearing. Fauci has become a flashpoint
- 45:47Speaker 20: in the debate over the federal government's COVID pandemic response.
- 45:51Speaker 26: Fauci cited what he described as Senator Rand Paul's obsession
- 45:55Speaker 26: with calling for his prosecution. saying he believed he was
- 45:58Speaker 26: subpoenaed to testify so he could potentially be prosecuted for perjury.
- 46:02Speaker 23: Under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my
- 46:06Speaker 23: right under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution to refrain
- 46:10Speaker 23: from answering your questions.
- 46:12Speaker 26: While President Biden preemptively pardoned Fauci on his last day
- 46:15Speaker 26: in office, that clemency wouldn't protect Fauci if he was
- 46:18Speaker 26: accused of lying to Congress. He's denied wrongdoing and claims
- 46:21Speaker 26: he's being vindictively targeted for his role in the pandemic response.
- 46:25Speaker 26: Peter Haralambous, ABC News.
- 46:27Speaker 20: The American Red Cross with an urgent appeal for blood donations.
- 46:30Speaker 16: We need people to step up. Matt Trotter is with
- 46:32Speaker 16: the American Red Cross, which has declared a national blood
- 46:35Speaker 16: supply emergency.
- 46:37Speaker 23: If three more people came to every Red Cross blood
- 46:40Speaker 23: drive over the next month, we would be out of
- 46:42Speaker 23: this crisis.
- 46:43Speaker 20: The nonprofit has been hit from both sides of a
- 46:45Speaker 20: seasonal increase in demand for blood products and a precipitous
- 46:48Speaker 20: decline in donors. A New York State school district that
- 46:52Speaker 20: had planned to use a robot powered by artificial intelligence
- 46:55Speaker 20: in the classroom is now putting that idea on hold.
- 46:58Speaker 20: Parents and teachers citing concerns about how students' personal information
- 47:03Speaker 20: would be used. I'm Michelle Franzen, ABC News.
- 47:10Speaker 7: A to Z dependable services.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 47:18Speaker 2: The more information that comes out about Fauci that's coming
- 47:21Speaker 2: out today, it's just so reprehensible if you're paying attention.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I mean, it borders on absolute evil to me. I mean, Fauci,
- 47:32Speaker 2: it borders on absolute evil. What he was saying publicly
- 47:37Speaker 2: and what he was writing in his diary and what
- 47:41Speaker 2: that man did to this country. And the fact of
- 47:46Speaker 2: the matter is that he will not pay any price
- 47:50Speaker 2: for this at all. I mean, to me, Dr. Fauci
- 47:56Speaker 2: is nothing but evil. He is absolute evil based on
- 48:03Speaker 2: what he was doing at the time and ultimately what
- 48:06Speaker 2: he was writing in his journal, I guess this would
- 48:09Speaker 2: be the proper term. The lies he told, the deceptions
- 48:14Speaker 2: he told, And the effects that have happened in this
- 48:20Speaker 2: country from an economic standpoint, to the educational standpoint, to
- 48:24Speaker 2: young people, to people dying alone in nursing homes and
- 48:27Speaker 2: in hospitals, to what they try to do to doctors
- 48:32Speaker 2: that said this is working and to strip them of
- 48:36Speaker 2: their medical licenses or silence them. When you look at this,
- 48:42Speaker 2: this was nothing but sheer evil. China's not being held
- 48:45Speaker 2: responsible for that bio lab that Fauci was funding. His
- 48:50Speaker 2: lies to the American people aren't. And yet so many
- 48:53Speaker 2: people paid a dear price of dying alone with no
- 48:55Speaker 2: one to hold their hands of the economic catastrophe that
- 49:00Speaker 2: happened as a result of all of this. And for
- 49:05Speaker 2: Biden to give him a blanket pardon that he will
- 49:07Speaker 2: never be held accountable, he's into his 80s, obviously, and
- 49:11Speaker 2: he'll never be held accountable. Listen, may he rot in hell.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Because it is that evil. when this stuff comes out.
- 49:22Speaker 2: It is just that evil to me. You're on the air.
- 49:30Speaker 13: Yeah, so Fauci is the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree with that. I would absolutely agree
- 49:37Speaker 2: with that.
- 49:39Speaker 13: He violated international law. He violated the Nuremberg Code. And
- 49:43Speaker 13: that's what he'll be tried on down the road. Maybe
- 49:46Speaker 13: not right now, but it's going to happen.
- 49:48Speaker 6: Because that's how.
- 49:50Speaker 13: It's immeasurable, the damage he did.
- 49:53Speaker 2: And it's just the lies that he told, the deception
- 49:56Speaker 2: that he engaged in, and some of this, his attitude
- 50:01Speaker 2: towards the deaths and everything. I mean, the guy is just,
- 50:06Speaker 2: the guy is damn, I don't know, he's just evil
- 50:09Speaker 2: to me.
- 50:10Speaker 13: Him and that Dr.
- 50:12Speaker 8: Birx.
- 50:13Speaker 13: Remember her with all the scarves that she would wear?
- 50:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's just– and he's got this– the pardon
- 50:19Speaker 2: that Biden gave him, which is equally as disturbing. He
- 50:21Speaker 2: will never be held accountable. China will not be held accountable.
- 50:25Speaker 2: And Rand Paul– has been right all along and so
- 50:29Speaker 2: many of these other people. I got to hand it, like,
- 50:32Speaker 2: if you heard Clay and Buck with DeSantis on, DeSantis
- 50:35Speaker 2: did everything right in Florida.
- 50:36Speaker 4: You know why?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Because he reads. Because he's smart. And he didn't go
- 50:40Speaker 2: along with this crap. And he did everything right. Fauci
- 50:44Speaker 2: is just sheer evil. By the way, before you go
- 50:48Speaker 2: on further, how about the situation in Poland Village?
- 50:52Speaker 4: Oh, you mean Poland Township?
- 50:54Speaker 13: I was at the meeting last night.
- 50:56Speaker 4: Poland Township. And thank you for correcting me. I want
- 50:59Speaker 4: to get that right.
- 51:00Speaker 2: How about the situation in Poland Township, where basically they're
- 51:05Speaker 2: out of money?
- 51:06Speaker 4: Will you describe it that way?
- 51:07Speaker 2: They are. A couple of things. I'm on until 6 o'clock.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Where are the Poland Township trustees? Eric and Gero, you
- 51:18Speaker 2: know my phone number. Pick up the phone and call.
- 51:22Speaker 2: I mean, where's the financial planning process? There was zero.
- 51:27Speaker 6: Zero.
- 51:27Speaker 13: That's what we learned last night.
- 51:29Speaker 4: You're worried about paying your police officers.
- 51:32Speaker 27: Yeah.
- 51:34Speaker 13: Well, you know, last month, I think it was, they
- 51:37Speaker 13: bought a Tahoe. I think they spent $ 75, 000 on it.
- 51:40Speaker 13: And then when they got it, they realized they didn't
- 51:41Speaker 13: have money to put the decals on it and get
- 51:44Speaker 13: it ready to be a police Tahoe. So now they
- 51:47Speaker 13: have to sell it. Their health care costs are up 15%, which,
- 51:52Speaker 13: you know, I get that, but then I think you
- 51:54Speaker 13: have to move away from the Cadillac health care plan
- 51:57Speaker 13: and move to something more reasonable and have your employees
- 52:00Speaker 13: contribute a little bit. That's a start. The property tax
- 52:03Speaker 13: money they usually have by now this time of year, but,
- 52:06Speaker 13: of course, everything is delayed, so they don't even have that.
- 52:10Speaker 13: And what they said was even once they get that money,
- 52:12Speaker 13: come January, they're going to be in the same boat.
- 52:15Speaker 13: So that's how much, yeah, I think they spend without
- 52:18Speaker 13: thinking is what's.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Been going on.
- 52:21Speaker 2: I mean, then at some point you have to say
- 52:23Speaker 2: some of these projects. I listened to that meeting that
- 52:26Speaker 2: they were talking about. Perhaps where was the financial planning?
- 52:30Speaker 2: Where was the planning? I don't even know how to
- 52:35Speaker 2: describe it. They have a financial mess on their hands
- 52:38Speaker 2: in Poland Township. I mean, it is an absolute financial mess.
- 52:44Speaker 2: And let's be realistic. You need a police department. I'm
- 52:49Speaker 2: all for you need cops. You need to pay them
- 52:52Speaker 2: well because they're in high demand everywhere. So I'm not
- 52:56Speaker 2: opposed to cops. I'm not opposed to them getting raises.
- 52:58Speaker 2: And I'm not opposed to them having good insurance because
- 53:01Speaker 2: there's a lot of risk in the job. And I
- 53:03Speaker 2: hate to say it, you might need that insurance just
- 53:06Speaker 2: based on what you do. So I'm not opposed to
- 53:10Speaker 2: Cadillac insurance plans for cops. I'm not opposed to them getting...
- 53:13Speaker 2: getting a raise. I'm not opposed to any of that.
- 53:17Speaker 2: And that's not to say, as I said, let me
- 53:20Speaker 2: back up a little bit, and then you fire away. Listen,
- 53:25Speaker 2: I understand how communities are affected by inflation as well.
- 53:31Speaker 2: I understand the cost of a police car has gone
- 53:35Speaker 2: up tremendously or a fire truck has gone up tremendously.
- 53:38Speaker 2: or healthcare benefits have gone up tremendously. I know that
- 53:41Speaker 2: they're victims of inflation as well. And you have to
- 53:44Speaker 2: do the best you can do to balance your money
- 53:47Speaker 2: to fulfill your obligations for your fire department, your police departments,
- 53:53Speaker 2: your zoning office, to make sure your employees get paid.
- 53:56Speaker 2: And you have to do all of that. And then try,
- 54:00Speaker 2: I mean, when it comes to what, paving streets and stuff,
- 54:03Speaker 2: you should be getting money from the county engineer, from
- 54:05Speaker 2: the sales tax. I don't know how they got in
- 54:09Speaker 2: this mess. I mean, can you tell me, was it
- 54:11Speaker 2: just bad planning?
- 54:13Speaker 13: I believe so, and it's spending without... Like, you should
- 54:17Speaker 13: go out for bids if you're going to have things
- 54:18Speaker 13: repaired and things, and I don't think that was being done.
- 54:21Speaker 13: They would just pick a place and go with it
- 54:23Speaker 13: and have things done that way. If you watch the meetings,
- 54:27Speaker 13: you'll see that they just kind of went like crazy.
- 54:30Speaker 13: They did fire all their seasonal workers, but you have
- 54:33Speaker 13: to ask yourself, why do they even have seasonal workers
- 54:36Speaker 13: when they're this low on their funds?
- 54:40Speaker 2: Well, the first thing I would say is, Why did
- 54:43Speaker 2: you hire them and what were they doing? Because there
- 54:47Speaker 2: might be a legitimate need in the summertime for seasonal
- 54:50Speaker 2: workers to help mow the parks, I don't know, mow
- 54:53Speaker 2: vacant properties. There could be legitimate reasons. So if you
- 54:57Speaker 2: get rid of them all, now my question is, who's
- 55:00Speaker 2: going to do all that work? Yep.
- 55:02Speaker 13: Well, they're going to have a road levy, I think,
- 55:04Speaker 13: that they're going to put on in the fall for
- 55:06Speaker 13: the roads in Poland. And then I don't think there's
- 55:09Speaker 13: time to do any other levy, like, say, for the police,
- 55:11Speaker 13: because the police are down to like $ 134. I mean, it.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Would seem to me, listen, as much as I am
- 55:20Speaker 2: opposed to property taxes and they're out of control, and
- 55:24Speaker 2: I'm going to say this to all of you. You know,
- 55:26Speaker 2: when you're facing in some of these areas the MRDD,
- 55:29Speaker 2: which I will not vote for, I will be voting
- 55:31Speaker 2: against that. And if I lived in Canfield, I'd be
- 55:34Speaker 2: voting against the school levy. Save your powder because if
- 55:39Speaker 2: there are levies that you need to vote for and
- 55:43Speaker 2: make the sacrifice for, I'm here to tell you. They
- 55:48Speaker 2: are your police department and your fire department because you
- 55:52Speaker 2: need a cop to show up and you need a
- 55:55Speaker 2: deterrent to crime and a cop to show up and
- 55:56Speaker 2: you need somebody to show up if your house is
- 55:58Speaker 2: on fire or an ambulance to show up. These are
- 56:02Speaker 2: the most important areas where you need to sacrifice yourself.
- 56:08Speaker 2: And take a little bit of a pain, if you will,
- 56:11Speaker 2: on a property tax levy increase because it's necessary for
- 56:17Speaker 2: your protection and for somebody to respond to this kind
- 56:21Speaker 2: of stuff. But by God, everything else, absolutely not.
- 56:27Speaker 20: Yep.
- 56:29Speaker 8: It was crowded.
- 56:30Speaker 13: There was probably 25 people there, so..
- 56:32Speaker 2: I mean, you had to be sitting there stunned at
- 56:36Speaker 2: what you were hearing. So you're basically saying you're not
- 56:39Speaker 2: going to get the advances of the property tax money,
- 56:42Speaker 2: so you're out of money.
- 56:43Speaker 4: You're basically out of money.
- 56:46Speaker 13: But they still will be by January again, even when
- 56:49Speaker 13: they get their property tax money, and they're not sure
- 56:51Speaker 13: they can make payroll in August. So I don't know
- 56:54Speaker 13: what they're going to do.
- 56:55Speaker 2: So in that case... You don't have a lot of options.
- 57:00Speaker 2: In other words, you better put a police levy on
- 57:03Speaker 2: the ballots.
- 57:05Speaker 13: Oh, there's no time for that. I think you've got
- 57:07Speaker 13: to have that done by August 5th. I don't think
- 57:09Speaker 13: there's time for that.
- 57:11Speaker 4: Jesus.
- 57:12Speaker 13: Yeah, they'll just do the road levy. So there's going
- 57:17Speaker 13: to be a lot of levies this fall.
- 57:19Speaker 4: What a mess.
- 57:20Speaker 13: What are you going to do?
- 57:21Speaker 2: I know.
- 57:22Speaker 13: I'm paying the taxes here in Poland Township. We all are.
- 57:25Speaker 8: We know.
- 57:25Speaker 13: I think $ 666 of... Goes to the township out of
- 57:30Speaker 13: my household every year.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Which is not a lot of money. But, I mean,
- 57:33Speaker 2: the reality is, I don't know, where are these trustees?
- 57:38Speaker 2: You know what my phone number is. My phone lines
- 57:40Speaker 2: are open. Do you want to talk to your public?
- 57:43Speaker 2: I would say the most, would it be fair to
- 57:47Speaker 2: say the most famous trustee in Poland Township would be
- 57:50Speaker 2: Eric Angaro, just based on his last name.
- 57:53Speaker 13: Well, he's the longest serving.
- 57:55Speaker 4: Eric, where are you?
- 57:57Speaker 2: Pick up your phone and call a radio station and
- 58:00Speaker 2: talk to your constituents and talk to your community about
- 58:03Speaker 2: the economic mess and what the hell's going on. You
- 58:05Speaker 2: know your father would. All right, go ahead, dear.
- 58:08Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 58:09Speaker 13: Okay, that's all I got to say.
- 58:12Speaker 4: That's it?
- 58:13Speaker 8: That's it.
- 58:14Speaker 6: I talked about two topics.
- 58:16Speaker 4: I was expecting so much more.
- 58:20Speaker 2: But, I mean, it is an absolute mess, and it's like.
- 58:27Speaker 13: Well, it's kind of scary, I mean, to be that
- 58:29Speaker 13: much out of money and have to turn around and
- 58:31Speaker 13: sell a vehicle you just bought a month ago. I mean,
- 58:34Speaker 13: that doesn't make sense.
- 58:36Speaker 28: You know what I mean?
- 58:37Speaker 2: Well, police cruisers wear out, and you've got to replace them.
- 58:40Speaker 2: They did that.
- 58:42Speaker 13: I think they had an influx of, was it COVID money?
- 58:45Speaker 13: And I think they did replace their fleet, I believe,
- 58:48Speaker 13: of cruisers.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Well, then that's not a bad use of COVID money.
- 58:51Speaker 2: To invest in that. No, it's not a bad use, right.
- 58:54Speaker 2: I mean, I would want to hear, though, if you
- 58:57Speaker 2: use your COVID money wisely and said, okay, we're going
- 58:59Speaker 2: to buy police cars or we're going to buy some
- 59:02Speaker 2: piece of fire equipment and... That's that's pretty much a
- 59:06Speaker 2: good thing, but I don't see it.
- 59:09Speaker 13: But you have to, you know, I don't know. I
- 59:11Speaker 13: just think you can have these healthcare benefits where your
- 59:13Speaker 13: employees aren't really contributing. Like everything's a hundred percent paid for.
- 59:18Speaker 13: I mean, they obviously can't afford to be doing that.
- 59:20Speaker 13: And it went up 15%. So you have to make
- 59:23Speaker 13: changes there too. I think that, Before you lay people off.
- 59:28Speaker 13: But they may have to lay people off. I don't know.
- 59:30Speaker 13: It doesn't sound good.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Everything is so damn out of control.
- 59:36Speaker 13: It is out of control. And I don't know if
- 59:39Speaker 13: the people there know how to fix what they're in.
- 59:42Speaker 13: That's the problem, too, I think. Maybe they should be recalled.
- 59:50Speaker 28: Yeah.
- 59:51Speaker 2: No, I mean, I thought they did a decent job
- 59:57Speaker 2: at explaining this situation, a problem, but you're sitting there saying, well,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: how did we get here?
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: I mean, who was steering the ship?
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Right. Should we have been a little more proactive? All right.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Thank you. Appreciate it. All right. I mean, Poland Township
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: has some serious financial problems. Serious ones. And comments? I
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: don't know if you were at the meeting or any
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: thoughts you have. If you live in that community, I'm
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: all ears. You're on the air.
- 1:00:36Speaker 17: Ron.
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: Oh, boy.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 1:00:40Speaker 14: You know, I held for an hour because I got
- 1:00:43Speaker 14: a lot of comments about this.
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:00:45Speaker 14: An hour.
- 1:00:46Speaker 20: An hour.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: Where have you been?
- 1:00:47Speaker 14: What have you been doing?
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I've been waiting for you. Now, tell me what your
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: comments are. I'm sitting back and I'm going to take
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: it all in.
- 1:00:54Speaker 14: Take it all in because I got the whole skinny
- 1:00:57Speaker 14: on the whole deal. I've been watching their videos and
- 1:00:59Speaker 14: their meetings. I've been watching them each. a couple times.
- 1:01:05Speaker 14: And then I went all the way back to the
- 1:01:06Speaker 14: beginning of the year to figure out what in God's
- 1:01:09Speaker 14: green earth is going on in Poland.
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: Where suddenly fire alarms.
- 1:01:15Speaker 14: Are being pulled and we are broke as a joke.
- 1:01:18Speaker 14: We're talking bologna sandwiches for the rest of the next
- 1:01:22Speaker 14: foreseeable future in this concept that we pay this much
- 1:01:26Speaker 14: money to live in and fire alarms are going off
- 1:01:30Speaker 14: that we're out of money.
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: So I sat back And I listened to all the meetings.
- 1:01:36Speaker 14: And when you listen to those meetings, much is clear.
- 1:01:42Speaker 14: Much is clear.
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: A lot of those people are clueless.
- 1:01:47Speaker 14: They have no business acumen, and they don't understand how
- 1:01:49Speaker 14: it works. And when you walk and you listen to
- 1:01:53Speaker 14: them talk about how, you know, the accountant, who I know,
- 1:01:58Speaker 14: and he's very good.
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: At what he does, is saying, you know, we've got
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: a problem here.
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: We're going to be out of money.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: Ungaro continues to say, like, kind.
- 1:02:12Speaker 14: Of dismiss it, like it's like $ 1, 500.
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: And then, like, what are we going to do?
- 1:02:17Speaker 14: And it's all of a.
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: Sudden you realize that they have not planned.
- 1:02:22Speaker 14: They didn't pull the fire alarm quick enough. But here's
- 1:02:25Speaker 14: what's happened. This is what I've put together.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: All right, stand by. Let me do my break, and
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: we'll be with you for a little bit. This is
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: important for all of us to hear and understand. It's
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: the irate boss lady with Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Ron Verb checking in with Mike Miller. All right. I
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: buckled up. I'm ready to go. The boss lady, Poland Township.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: So we all understand it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 14: Yeah, here's what happened. Poland Township has been operating at
- 1:02:57Speaker 14: a deficit. is what they're bragging about, specifically on Garrow
- 1:03:02Speaker 14: for 10 years. Now, for a long time, they've been
- 1:03:05Speaker 14: operating at a deficit. They've been pulling out of the
- 1:03:08Speaker 14: general fund excess for the past many, many years, okay?
- 1:03:14Speaker 14: Because they have not had enough money. But instead of
- 1:03:17Speaker 14: explaining that to everybody else, They brag about how they're
- 1:03:23Speaker 14: running at a deficit. Now, they just say this now,
- 1:03:25Speaker 14: you know, two days ago that they didn't want to
- 1:03:27Speaker 14: put a levy on because they didn't want to tax
- 1:03:29Speaker 14: the homeowners and they wanted to run a tight ship. Respectable. However,
- 1:03:34Speaker 14: your messaging is absolutely a process. And you never messaged
- 1:03:40Speaker 14: this or communicated this to the community until two days
- 1:03:45Speaker 14: ago when you want to pull a fire alarm. And
- 1:03:49Speaker 14: PJ Tanner says we're broke as a joke and we're
- 1:03:51Speaker 14: going to eat peanut butter and jelly for the foreseeable future.
- 1:03:55Speaker 14: What happened was they have a budget. The budget does
- 1:03:58Speaker 14: not cover the police. They have to use the general
- 1:04:01Speaker 14: fund to make themselves whole.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Now, just pause for a second here.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Just pause for a second. I just want to clarify something.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: There is nothing wrong with, you know, your tax dollars
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: are also the general fund. So you don't always have
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: to run your police department solely on police levies.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: It's okay, though. There's no crime in pulling out of
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: the general fund.
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: No, there's not.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I mean, so this idea that everything has to have
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: a separate funding mechanism, oh, we've got to have all
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: police levies and fire levies. Well, then what's the general
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: fund for?
- 1:04:39Speaker 14: Here's the problem. Here's the problem. The general fund isn't enough.
- 1:04:45Speaker 14: The general fund does not cover the expenses. But they
- 1:04:49Speaker 14: kept spending money. They kept spending even though they knew
- 1:04:55Speaker 14: the general fund had some excess in it from prior years.
- 1:05:00Speaker 14: But coupled with the general fund, which is part of
- 1:05:02Speaker 14: their budget, they.
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: Use it for their budget.
- 1:05:03Speaker 14: You're absolutely right. They can tap that general fund.
- 1:05:06Speaker 11: That's smart.
- 1:05:06Speaker 14: Don't go to the taxpayers when you've got a general fund.
- 1:05:09Speaker 14: Keep using the tax dollars. Use your existing levies that
- 1:05:12Speaker 14: you have. Fund your department.
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: It's self-tapped.
- 1:05:15Speaker 14: The money that they were counting on from.
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: The general fund was from years past.
- 1:05:20Speaker 14: The excess that they needed was from years past.
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: And it was their nest egg.
- 1:05:23Speaker 14: They were rolling down so fast on it and didn't.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: Do a run rate to determine when it was.
- 1:05:30Speaker 14: Going to end until two weeks ago, which they all
- 1:05:35Speaker 14: knew they were outspending what they were bringing in. Everybody
- 1:05:39Speaker 14: knew that.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Now, pause for a second. Some of this wasn't just
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: general fund money. Some of it was ARPA.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: Money, too.
- 1:05:47Speaker 14: ARPA money was the only time that they were lost
- 1:05:51Speaker 14: was when they got the ARPA money. But they spent that.
- 1:05:54Speaker 14: They spent that money. Some of that money could have
- 1:05:56Speaker 14: been used. I believe, and from what everything I read,
- 1:05:59Speaker 14: could have been used.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: For payroll costs, etc. Now, the ARPA money's gone.
- 1:06:04Speaker 14: It's been gone. You couple that with the fact that
- 1:06:06Speaker 14: the budget projection that was done had them built in
- 1:06:11Speaker 14: things that they weren't even going to buy this year.
- 1:06:13Speaker 12: So the budget.
- 1:06:14Speaker 14: Projection for this year accounted for $ 200, 000 going to the park,
- 1:06:17Speaker 14: something like that. because last year, they spent $ 200, 000 on
- 1:06:22Speaker 14: a park. And when PJ Cantor ran the budget for
- 1:06:25Speaker 14: this year, he built that into the budget saying, this
- 1:06:27Speaker 14: is what we're going to spend based on everything you
- 1:06:30Speaker 14: spent last year, and he wasn't corrected. And Garrow didn't say, well, PJ,
- 1:06:34Speaker 14: why is $ 200, 000 in the budget? Now we're projected to
- 1:06:38Speaker 14: be broke. You need to take that out because we're
- 1:06:41Speaker 14: not going.
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: To actually do that and rerun.
- 1:06:43Speaker 14: The projection, okay? That didn't happen. There were no questions asked.
- 1:06:47Speaker 14: Now you got... At least, thank God, you got Frankie
- 1:06:51Speaker 14: Domain in there, who comes from the private sector.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: So I went back to, I started, I was going
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: to look at the.
- 1:06:56Speaker 14: Whole year and watch every single video. January, Frankie starts
- 1:06:59Speaker 14: asking questions. He's like, what's going on with this? What's
- 1:07:03Speaker 14: going on with that? What do you mean we're 400,000 in.
- 1:07:05Speaker 8: The red at the beginning of the year?
- 1:07:07Speaker 14: And so then he, Jay Tanner explains, all explained, and
- 1:07:11Speaker 14: Darrow probably says, well, yeah, we always start off the
- 1:07:14Speaker 14: year in the hole.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: Okay, great.
- 1:07:16Speaker 14: You want to run a tight ship? Except you're not
- 1:07:18Speaker 14: looking out and you're not projecting the fact that you
- 1:07:21Speaker 14: just gave huge increases to the police, 15% increases to
- 1:07:27Speaker 14: the police force.
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: Which I'm not even here to argue about because they
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: haven't had.
- 1:07:30Speaker 14: A raise in five to seven years is what I've heard, okay?
- 1:07:34Speaker 14: They haven't had a raise in five to seven years.
- 1:07:36Speaker 14: So that raise had to come at some point or
- 1:07:38Speaker 14: you're going to lose every officer on that force. And
- 1:07:40Speaker 14: rightfully so, when other townships are paying more. I'm not
- 1:07:43Speaker 14: faulting the police.
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: This is not what this is about.
- 1:07:45Speaker 14: I'm saying it's pit poor planning.
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: Because you guys knew you hadn't.
- 1:07:48Speaker 14: Given them a raise in that many years. And now
- 1:07:52Speaker 14: you're giving it all.
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: And you know.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: You don't have the money. Settle down, Beavis. I'll be
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: right back. Hang on.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: WKVS.
- 1:07:58Speaker 29: In Cleveland, a man killed after being struck by a
- 1:08:03Speaker 29: car while riding an electric scooter this morning. This happening
- 1:08:06Speaker 29: before 10 o'clock in the area of 105th Street and
- 1:08:09Speaker 29: Euclid Avenue with the victim taken to a nearby hospital
- 1:08:12Speaker 29: where he died from his injuries.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: Cleveland police continue to investigate.
- 1:08:15Speaker 29: Governor Mike DeWine on hand for a ribbon cutting as
- 1:08:17Speaker 29: the 171st Ohio State Fair opened at the Ohio Expo
- 1:08:21Speaker 29: Center and Fairgrounds in Columbus this morning, now running through
- 1:08:24Speaker 29: August 9th. Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day speaking
- 1:08:27Speaker 29: during Big Ten media days in Chicago with quarterback Julian San,
- 1:08:31Speaker 29: wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, and defensive back Jalen McClain also
- 1:08:35Speaker 29: on hand. On Tuesday, OSU Athletics announcing a new sponsorship
- 1:08:38Speaker 29: deal with JPMorgan Chase, worth a reported $ 17 million annually,
- 1:08:43Speaker 29: as uniforms for all of the school's athletic programs will
- 1:08:46Speaker 29: have a patch featuring the Chase Bank logo. I'm Sean Galbiger.
- 1:08:51Speaker 19: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 1:08:54Speaker 19: and sports radio.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: Podcast 2. Download the app.
- 1:08:58Speaker 17: Free.
- 1:08:59Speaker 12: Never sounded. so good.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: A to Z dependable services.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Plumbings.
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: On NewsRadio 570.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: WKBN.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Back to it. Trying to get the boss lady's impression
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: of what's the situation in Poland Township, which I would
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: describe as dire financially. Well, here's why it's dire.
- 1:09:21Speaker 14: The fact is that they have raised costs and have
- 1:09:24Speaker 14: spent money that they did not have to spend. It's
- 1:09:28Speaker 14: above and beyond what is in the general fund and
- 1:09:30Speaker 14: what is in the excess of the general fund that
- 1:09:32Speaker 14: they have been drawing on, which has been about a
- 1:09:34Speaker 14: half a million a year. Well, when you give raises
- 1:09:37Speaker 14: at 15%, And the cost of health care is going up.
- 1:09:41Speaker 14: And you continue to buy things like last year, they
- 1:09:44Speaker 14: shouldn't have bought anything. The year prior, they shouldn't have
- 1:09:47Speaker 14: bought anything because they knew that that little bit that
- 1:09:50Speaker 14: was in that general fund has an expiration date. If
- 1:09:56Speaker 14: you keep blowing it at the level that you're at
- 1:09:58Speaker 14: and you know that you're running at a deficit. Okay,
- 1:10:01Speaker 14: so now you got Frankie Domingue, who's brand new, and
- 1:10:05Speaker 14: thank God, because again, he comes from the private sector.
- 1:10:07Speaker 14: And by the way, also from the public sector, he
- 1:10:10Speaker 14: was a cop. He was also a union rep. He
- 1:10:13Speaker 14: understands this. He understands the mechanism. So he goes into
- 1:10:16Speaker 14: the meeting and starts asking questions. He starts talking about,
- 1:10:19Speaker 14: why are we not getting multiple bids here? Why did
- 1:10:22Speaker 14: you do this? Why did you do that? The other
- 1:10:24Speaker 14: two vote against him. on every chance that they can.
- 1:10:29Speaker 14: He's bringing ideas like, well, hold on a minute. They're
- 1:10:32Speaker 14: giving free healthcare to the police department, entirely free, no deductible,
- 1:10:37Speaker 14: no nothing, not a thing. You pay nothing, not a dime, okay?
- 1:10:41Speaker 14: Now that's fine, okay? But then when they go and
- 1:10:45Speaker 14: they do get an operation, let's say the operation costs $ 10, 000.
- 1:10:48Speaker 14: They go in, they pay $ 0. They bring a bill
- 1:10:50Speaker 14: that into the township and the township writes him a
- 1:10:56Speaker 14: check for $ 10, 000.
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: Frankie says, why are we doing this?
- 1:11:01Speaker 14: You can watch it because I watched all of them.
- 1:11:04Speaker 14: He says, why are we doing this? Basically, why would
- 1:11:06Speaker 14: you pay them off the bill and not off of
- 1:11:08Speaker 14: the receipt?
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: Because bills are negotiated.
- 1:11:12Speaker 14: Like we all know, you can call down to the
- 1:11:13Speaker 14: hospital and you can say, listen.
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: $ 10, 000, I don't have it.
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: Can I settle for five?
- 1:11:19Speaker 14: And I only pay $ 5, 000, but the township pays $ 10, 000.
- 1:11:21Speaker 14: So Frankie and I believe.
- 1:11:24Speaker 16: TJ say, hey, you know what?
- 1:11:28Speaker 14: We could probably save $ 700, 000 to $ 100, 000 by doing this.
- 1:11:32Speaker 14: The other two cause every reason why they should.
- 1:11:36Speaker 8: Not implement that.
- 1:11:38Speaker 14: It doesn't clean the contract with the union. It doesn't
- 1:11:41Speaker 14: impact anyone. You still get to bring in your receipt
- 1:11:45Speaker 14: for what you want to count at the cover.
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: You don't bring a simple bill. Everyone knows those bills
- 1:11:52Speaker 8: are garbage.
- 1:11:53Speaker 14: You can negotiate your price with the hospital or any
- 1:11:56Speaker 14: medical care. You could say you're self-pay, not even use
- 1:11:59Speaker 14: your insurance. That'll whack your bill in half right there
- 1:12:03Speaker 14: if you said you were self-pay and walked into a clinic.
- 1:12:06Speaker 14: But no, they have to submit only a bill, not
- 1:12:09Speaker 14: a receipt for what they spent. So he's bringing ideas
- 1:12:12Speaker 14: like this, which are common sense, like business 101. That's
- 1:12:15Speaker 14: how we do it in the private sector. He's bringing
- 1:12:17Speaker 14: common sense, like you must get three bids on cost
- 1:12:21Speaker 14: things that you're spending money on. He talks about, he
- 1:12:23Speaker 14: gives examples in these meetings. Those guys are like, oh, well,
- 1:12:26Speaker 14: you know, we don't got a problem. We're proud of
- 1:12:28Speaker 14: what we accomplished here. You're proud. You're running in the negative.
- 1:12:32Speaker 14: You've been running in the negative for years. For years,
- 1:12:35Speaker 14: you've been running in the negative. I don't understand what
- 1:12:37Speaker 14: you're proud about. Yes, I appreciate the fact that they
- 1:12:41Speaker 14: have been trying to not put another levy.
- 1:12:42Speaker 12: On, okay?
- 1:12:44Speaker 14: But their communication was absolutely deplorable. I don't know how
- 1:12:48Speaker 14: they sit in those chairs, because what they should have
- 1:12:50Speaker 14: said was, dear taxpayer, just so you all know, they.
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: Should have been saying this five years ago.
- 1:12:55Speaker 14: We got a little nest egg in the.
- 1:12:56Speaker 8: General fund, and we're going... to take off of that in.
- 1:13:00Speaker 14: Addition to what's coming in yearly to help keep us afloat.
- 1:13:04Speaker 14: And we're not going to tax you. We're not going
- 1:13:06Speaker 14: to come and ask you for more money because we
- 1:13:08Speaker 14: care about you and we don't want to put another
- 1:13:10Speaker 14: levy on. But I will let you also know that
- 1:13:13Speaker 14: based on our.
- 1:13:14Speaker 8: Trajectory, that's going to run out in two years, three years,
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: or whatever it is.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: Well, hang on.
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: I'm going to pause for a second.
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: We didn't do that.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: Pause for a second.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Because perhaps a more prudent thing would have been to
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: do When you're looking at those projections to say we
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: need to put on a police levy so that we
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: can continue to have a police department to respond to
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: calls or a fire levy, whatever the case might be.
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: Sure.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Instead of– perhaps they should have been more proactive before
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: the crap hit the fan to say we need to
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: put this amount of levy on for our police or
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: for our fire in addition to telling the individual you're
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: going to have to pay a deductible. as everybody else
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: does on medical procedures.
- 1:14:01Speaker 14: I'm not spending a couple hundred thousand on the park.
- 1:14:04Speaker 8: You know, you wouldn't do that, would you?
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know enough about the park. Listen,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: parks need maintenance, too. You've got to cut the grass.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I don't know what's involved.
- 1:14:13Speaker 14: We're talking about building things, putting down cement pads. We're
- 1:14:16Speaker 14: talking about stupidity here. You've got to go listen to
- 1:14:19Speaker 14: the meetings.
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: We're talking about stupidity.
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: You don't do those things when.
- 1:14:22Speaker 14: You don't have money.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: You don't do those things when you have no money.
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: You can't afford it.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Okay, but I'm saying to you, you would agree that
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: perhaps they should have been more proactive to say we
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: should have put a levy on for the police before
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: we got to this point. for so much money so
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: that we're not in a situation like this. Would you
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: agree with that comment?
- 1:14:41Speaker 14: I would agree with that. And I would agree that
- 1:14:42Speaker 14: they should have been in a fact that they snarl
- 1:14:46Speaker 14: at the suggestions coming from the new guy who actually
- 1:14:51Speaker 14: has business sense to keep pairing up and voting against them.
- 1:14:56Speaker 14: What is the pain? You tell me what's the problem
- 1:14:59Speaker 14: with tell me, give me a valid reason why you
- 1:15:02Speaker 14: didn't bring me a seat versus a bill.
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: How does that impact anyone? Tell me one valid reason.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: It doesn't make any sense to me.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: So you're telling me the insurance pays the hospital and
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: they bring a bill to the township to pay the deductible?
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: Well, that's crazy.
- 1:15:23Speaker 14: To pay any of their outside costs. And they only
- 1:15:26Speaker 14: bring the bill.
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: They don't have to bring the receipt.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: And Frankie is on there saying. I mean, that's just crazy.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: Pay your own damn deductible.
- 1:15:33Speaker 14: They blew that ARPA money, blew through it, been gone.
- 1:15:39Speaker 14: That was the only years that they actually had money
- 1:15:42Speaker 14: and they were neutral and not running. So now the
- 1:15:45Speaker 14: fire alarms are pulled. That meeting was atrocious. They didn't
- 1:15:48Speaker 14: explain it to the public well at all because.
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: You're not getting what I'm saying from that meeting.
- 1:15:53Speaker 14: You have to do a lot. You have to watch
- 1:15:54Speaker 14: it several times. You've got to start watching the other meetings.
- 1:15:57Speaker 14: You've got to go back in because you're not going
- 1:15:59Speaker 14: to get all of that if you don't understand business
- 1:16:01Speaker 14: out of what they put out there. They put that
- 1:16:03Speaker 14: meeting out there They.
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: Continue to talk about how proud they are.
- 1:16:07Speaker 14: They continue to say, oh, can we afford this? Can
- 1:16:09Speaker 14: we afford that? Money's getting approved all over the place.
- 1:16:12Speaker 14: Frank's new. He's asking questions. He keeps getting shot down,
- 1:16:16Speaker 14: and they're turning their back on him.
- 1:16:19Speaker 8: PJ probably needed to pull.
- 1:16:21Speaker 14: That fire alarm a lot sooner and showed them the
- 1:16:24Speaker 14: pace that they were heading on. And probably last year,
- 1:16:27Speaker 14: they shouldn't have spent as much money as they did
- 1:16:29Speaker 14: because they spent.
- 1:16:30Speaker 13: Over and above, which.
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: Further dwindled down the.
- 1:16:33Speaker 14: Additional revenue that they had that they've been growing on.
- 1:16:37Speaker 14: I have $ 100, 000 in a bucket, and I need to
- 1:16:40Speaker 14: use it for five years to get me through. You're
- 1:16:43Speaker 14: thinking $ 20, 000 a year. Well, if on year one, you
- 1:16:44Speaker 14: take $ 50, 000 out, The next four years, you only have $ 50, 000.
- 1:16:52Speaker 14: So guess what?
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: Now you can only.
- 1:16:54Speaker 14: Spend $ 10, 000 or $ 15, 000, right? You can't spend the $ 20, 000.
- 1:16:59Speaker 14: But then the second year, you.
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: Pull $ 30, 000 out.
- 1:17:02Speaker 14: Well, now you only have $ 20, 000 for the remaining $ 3, 000.
- 1:17:04Speaker 14: They didn't do that. They weren't even tracking that. This
- 1:17:07Speaker 14: is mismanagement all day. I can't even believe that they
- 1:17:11Speaker 14: sat there as smug as they were and that they
- 1:17:13Speaker 14: acted like they had done a good job.
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: And you're doing a horrible job.
- 1:17:18Speaker 14: And you should have pulled the fire alarm sooner. You
- 1:17:21Speaker 14: don't drop it in the community's lap and say we're
- 1:17:23Speaker 14: out of money. And by January, we're going to be
- 1:17:27Speaker 14: a half a million. We're going to be a million
- 1:17:28Speaker 14: and a half, a million to a million and a
- 1:17:30Speaker 14: half short. We want three mil. We want a three
- 1:17:33Speaker 14: mil levy. You went from everything is hunky dory to
- 1:17:37Speaker 14: we want a three mil levy in a day. Like
- 1:17:40Speaker 14: in 50 days, that's the swing. 50 days from one
- 1:17:43Speaker 14: meeting to the next meeting, they went, fire alarm, we're broke. Now,
- 1:17:47Speaker 14: if that's not mismanagement, I don't care what he says.
- 1:17:50Speaker 14: This is not personal about that guy. That guy seems
- 1:17:53Speaker 14: like a nice guy, seems like an upstanding citizen in
- 1:17:56Speaker 14: the community. This is not personal, like you say. You
- 1:17:59Speaker 14: could talk about Trump. It's not personal. You could change
- 1:18:02Speaker 14: your opinion about somebody and have a strong opinion. This
- 1:18:04Speaker 14: is not a personal thing. This is 101 business then.
- 1:18:09Speaker 14: And I suggest that that camper who says, well, let's
- 1:18:12Speaker 14: just send them a memo and tell them to just
- 1:18:14Speaker 14: make sure that the bill is correct when they give it.
- 1:18:16Speaker 14: That's not how you operate. No, you make a roll.
- 1:18:19Speaker 14: You make a roll. We're paying you off the invoice
- 1:18:21Speaker 14: or off the receipt.
- 1:18:22Speaker 8: I'm paying off the receipt.
- 1:18:23Speaker 14: I'm not paying you off the bill.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no. You can't back up here.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: The past is the past. What you have to what
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: you have to do is say. We need to put
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: a levy on a ballot because we're broke and we
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: need whatever, a three mil levy for the police departments.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: I mean, you realistically.
- 1:18:42Speaker 14: And going forward, going forward, I'm not paying you off
- 1:18:46Speaker 14: of a bill.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: No, no, no. We need a levy for the police department.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: We're going to control spending better. And you're going to
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: pay your own deductible.
- 1:19:02Speaker 14: Yeah, you're going to pay your own deductible, I agree with.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: I mean, we're not- For some reason, he's only one guy.
- 1:19:08Speaker 14: So we've got to get one of the other two
- 1:19:10Speaker 14: to agree with him on any of this. This is
- 1:19:12Speaker 14: what's so wrong, okay, in all of government, from the
- 1:19:15Speaker 14: top all the way down. You get these people that
- 1:19:18Speaker 14: do not understand what it looks like outside of this
- 1:19:20Speaker 14: little Poland community or outside of the county or outside. No,
- 1:19:24Speaker 14: you need thinkers. This is what is happening here. And
- 1:19:28Speaker 14: nobody wants to run for these offices. Because most of
- 1:19:32Speaker 14: the time, you have to say a bunch of stuff
- 1:19:33Speaker 14: you don't even really mean just to get in the door.
- 1:19:35Speaker 14: And half the time, it's all about making concessions that
- 1:19:39Speaker 14: you really don't wanna make. just to get the buy-in
- 1:19:44Speaker 14: from the other people. This is all, it's all a joke, okay?
- 1:19:47Speaker 14: They have mismanaged, and now it's our problem. Their mismanagement,
- 1:19:52Speaker 14: and I'm going to tell you, every township is screaming
- 1:19:54Speaker 14: the same thing. Austintown wants money, Boardman wants money. Every
- 1:19:59Speaker 14: township in every school district in that township, they're all
- 1:20:02Speaker 14: screaming for money at the same time. This is not sustainable.
- 1:20:05Speaker 14: This is why you got a Brian Massey out there
- 1:20:08Speaker 14: we're helping and trying to support to abolish property taxes
- 1:20:12Speaker 14: because this is not sustainable. If every single township is
- 1:20:16Speaker 14: screaming they have no money for pools and no money
- 1:20:18Speaker 14: for the township, what does that tell you? This is
- 1:20:21Speaker 14: not sustainable. It doesn't take a nuclear physicist to sit
- 1:20:26Speaker 14: down and look at this problem and say this is
- 1:20:29Speaker 14: not sustainable. The people cannot do it anymore.
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: You seem really.
- 1:20:37Speaker 11: Wound up Listen, listen, Ron.
- 1:20:41Speaker 14: It's a joke.
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: This is all a joke.
- 1:20:44Speaker 14: And would you agree?
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: It's like The Muppet Show.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: I tell you what it is. It is just from afar,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: without talking to them, it is mismanagement. I mean, it
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: is a case of not, it's mismanagement. Let me just
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: start there. And secondly, it's not realistically saying, We need
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: to as a result of inflation things, we need to
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: put a levy on for a police department to maintain
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: our police departments, you know, to have a cruiser and
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: to replace cruisers and to keep our personnel. And we're
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: going to and we're going to make sure that. The
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: health care benefits have to be renegotiated because the cost
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: keeps going up and you're going to have to pay
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: a deductible as everyone else does in your health care costs.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: So that's what should have happened based on what I'm
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: listening to you say probably a year or two ago
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: or longer than that. And it hasn't taken place yet.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: So now you're where the crap is hitting the fan.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Would that be an accurate statement?
- 1:21:51Speaker 14: Yeah, absolutely. Now we're at DEF CON 5. And I
- 1:21:54Speaker 14: heard Denise say, and, you know, she might be right.
- 1:21:57Speaker 14: I don't know if it's too late to get this
- 1:21:58Speaker 14: levy on the ballot or not. But, you know, the
- 1:22:04Speaker 14: part-time employees and all the extras that you guys have
- 1:22:06Speaker 14: been doing and adding, something's going to get because you
- 1:22:09Speaker 14: don't have the money.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't put it on and continue the status
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: quo of not paying attention.
- 1:22:14Speaker 14: Absolutely. Drastic changes need made. Drastic changes are going to
- 1:22:18Speaker 14: need made because you're coming back to the taxpayer. You're
- 1:22:22Speaker 14: pulling the rug right out from everybody who's been sitting here.
- 1:22:26Speaker 14: Nobody knew that it was like this. And I'll guarantee
- 1:22:28Speaker 14: you what, that first levy that they put on a
- 1:22:30Speaker 14: few years back failed. Nobody made any mention or explained
- 1:22:34Speaker 14: it the way I just did. Not one person stood
- 1:22:38Speaker 14: up and explained it the way I just did so
- 1:22:40Speaker 14: that people can actually understand. They talk in hieroglyphics in
- 1:22:44Speaker 14: these meetings, okay?
- 1:22:46Speaker 8: They don't even make sense.
- 1:22:47Speaker 14: There wasn't a single number that Anguero threw out that
- 1:22:50Speaker 14: PJ didn't have to correct them on. They were all wrong.
- 1:22:52Speaker 14: Watch the videos.
- 1:22:53Speaker 12: I'm not lying.
- 1:22:55Speaker 14: So at the end of the day, you have to
- 1:22:57Speaker 14: speak to the people and let them know if you
- 1:22:59Speaker 14: want a levy to get passed. And at this point,
- 1:23:02Speaker 14: so the first levy failed. They put it back on
- 1:23:05Speaker 14: in the past. Now they're coming back for another levy.
- 1:23:07Speaker 14: But in between then, there's been no communication about the
- 1:23:10Speaker 14: situation down there.
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: I mean, why don't you exactly, Ron, call into your cell?
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: First of all.
- 1:23:17Speaker 14: There is no explanation that will be good enough for me.
- 1:23:19Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: I mean, you know, just settle down. I don't want
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: you to have a heart attack at your age.
- 1:23:25Speaker 14: Oh, I got more than that. I'm going to call
- 1:23:26Speaker 14: back and argue with you on something else another day.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Well, that's another day because really you're on the verge
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: of a nervous breakdown.
- 1:23:34Speaker 14: Oh, I'm so sick of the wasteful spending.
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: Total disregard.
- 1:23:37Speaker 14: You know, honestly, it's ridiculous at this point. You've got
- 1:23:41Speaker 14: every single pound kept screaming for money right now. Every
- 1:23:44Speaker 14: single one.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: All right. All right. I'm going to move along.
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: So just, you know, follow me. Take a deep breath in,
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: deep breath out.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Just come on. Let's do some relaxing. Okay.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: See you later. It's the boss later. She's irate.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: You're on air.
- 1:24:04Speaker 12: Hello.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: Hello.
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:24:07Speaker 28: Just told that woman, don't look in the past, and
- 1:24:09Speaker 28: you keep talking about Biden. Now, I'm going to tell you,
- 1:24:13Speaker 28: you said something about things are out of control. You
- 1:24:16Speaker 28: know who's out of control? It's our president. The war,
- 1:24:22Speaker 28: the ballroom, the racetrack around the White House, and the
- 1:24:28Speaker 28: wrestling match. Now, who's out of control?
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Well, I do agree with the criticism. I've been very
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: critical of the war.
- 1:24:39Speaker 28: And what about the other things I said?
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: I don't get too bent out of shape. I do
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: think the ballroom is needed. I think that's, frankly, long overdue.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: As far as the wrestling events, I wasn't in favor
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: of it. Now, I didn't watch it. People who did
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: said it was really kind of a spectacular thing, so
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: it's hard for me to comment on it. My initial
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: thing is... I don't want gay pride stuff on the
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: White House lawn. I don't want the White House lawn
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: used for that. Biden had done that. Trump had did
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: it with this wrestling. I think, you know, you pardon
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: some turkeys and you do an Easter egg hunt. But
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: it's somewhat sacred grounds to me in that sense.
- 1:25:21Speaker 12: Absolutely.
- 1:25:21Speaker 28: Now, by the way, did you and your wife both
- 1:25:23Speaker 28: receive your $ 2, 000 checks? Promises made, promises.
- 1:25:29Speaker 12: Kept, he said.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Well, as far as... our checks from..
- 1:25:33Speaker 26: He.
- 1:25:35Speaker 28: Said we're all going to get $ 2, 000.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: No, I didn't get it.
- 1:25:41Speaker 28: Well, don't hold your breath because you'll die.
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: Goodbye.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Goodbye.
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: You're on the air.
- 1:25:45Speaker 21: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: Yes, Tom.
- 1:25:51Speaker 21: I just... I don't think you can treat Poland by itself.
- 1:25:54Speaker 21: You know, you're looking at... They're competing with... I don't
- 1:25:57Speaker 21: want to look like I'm defending something that they probably
- 1:25:59Speaker 21: shouldn't have done. It sounded as if they weren't You
- 1:26:01Speaker 21: should never be spending money you don't think you have.
- 1:26:03Speaker 21: If you're close to being broke, you shouldn't be spending
- 1:26:06Speaker 21: any money. I really have no idea. I haven't followed.
- 1:26:09Speaker 21: Even though I live in the township, I haven't followed
- 1:26:11Speaker 21: what's going on within the township. But I think that
- 1:26:15Speaker 21: the townships, not just Poland, but all of them compete
- 1:26:18Speaker 21: with all these taxes from all over the place. People
- 1:26:22Speaker 21: in Poland pay all these property tax levies for everything.
- 1:26:27Speaker 21: like the library, like they pay the sales tax for
- 1:26:30Speaker 21: the WRTA, you name it. They go on and on.
- 1:26:35Speaker 21: And the school system in Youngstown, that's not paid for
- 1:26:37Speaker 21: by the people in Youngstown. I think what you need
- 1:26:40Speaker 21: to do is I think there needs to be, and
- 1:26:42Speaker 21: maybe I'm dreaming to think this could be done, but
- 1:26:45Speaker 21: I think there's a need for a study of how much,
- 1:26:49Speaker 21: you know, all of these things, everybody in the county.
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: Hold on, Tom.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: I want to spend time with you. Tom Samery, I'll
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: come back with him in a minute.
- 1:27:00Speaker 10: Your one stop for advertising? Call 844-844-IHEART. I'm not great

- 1:27:25Speaker 30: ten and twenty. Thirty big ones, games are plenty. Cheddar, butter,
- 1:27:30Speaker 30: lewd and scratch. Find the lettuce, make the mesh. Cause

- 1:27:41Speaker 30: It's game time, yo. Cash word, it's fun to go
- 1:27:44Speaker 30: with millions in prizes, don't you know?
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: Lottery players are subject to a high level of commission regulations.
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: Play responsibly. If you're seeking legal questions about.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Anything, Weather and Talk Station, 570 WKBN. All right, back
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: with Tom Zammery. So, I mean, Poland Township, the township
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: in which you live, Tom, has some serious economic problems.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: But I'd like you to pick up with where you
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: were talking about the situation.
- 1:28:10Speaker 21: Well, I just think that they're competing. You know, when
- 1:28:12Speaker 21: they go to put a levy on, if people are
- 1:28:13Speaker 21: paying a lot of taxes for something else, they're not
- 1:28:16Speaker 21: going to be inclined to pay for that. Like myself,
- 1:28:18Speaker 21: I don't, a three mil levy, I don't know what
- 1:28:21Speaker 21: that would cost me. Again, that's telling people in mils
- 1:28:24Speaker 21: rather than dollars for what it's going to cost you.
- 1:28:27Speaker 21: But when you look at, you know, you mentioned one
- 1:28:29Speaker 21: day that the MRDD is asking for $ 40 million more,
- 1:28:32Speaker 21: $ 40 million more to go to $ 100 million. I mean,
- 1:28:37Speaker 21: how are they going to, and who's going to pay that?
- 1:28:39Speaker 21: people in Poland Township are going to pay for that.
- 1:28:41Speaker 21: You've got the City of Youngstown City Schools spending $ 150
- 1:28:44Speaker 21: million a year for 4,600 students, and that's not paid
- 1:28:48Speaker 21: for by the people in the City of Youngstown. It's
- 1:28:50Speaker 21: paid for by state taxes and other taxes. So I'm
- 1:28:57Speaker 21: not trying to justify what's going on here, but I
- 1:28:59Speaker 21: think there is a need for a more comprehensive look
- 1:29:02Speaker 21: at what's happening, particularly maybe if you just started at
- 1:29:04Speaker 21: the county level and you had all the 14 township
- 1:29:10Speaker 21: trustees get together with the county commissioners and the people
- 1:29:12Speaker 21: who run the cities that there are and the villages
- 1:29:16Speaker 21: and start looking at what's happening with taxes because they
- 1:29:18Speaker 21: are getting to the point. Taxes are to the point
- 1:29:21Speaker 21: where it's really hurting people that don't have much of
- 1:29:23Speaker 21: an income to be able to keep their houses. So
- 1:29:27Speaker 21: while I haven't looked at Poland's township, what they're doing,
- 1:29:32Speaker 21: I haven't really bothered with it. But it does need
- 1:29:37Speaker 21: to be looked at, but so does the big picture
- 1:29:39Speaker 21: need to be looked at because we shouldn't be paying
- 1:29:41Speaker 21: $ 20 million for the WRTA.
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: That's ridiculous.
- 1:29:44Speaker 21: I mean, that's crazy to spend that kind of money.
- 1:29:46Speaker 21: That's a sales tax, but you're still paying it. In
- 1:29:50Speaker 21: the library, they don't like when we're not asking them
- 1:29:53Speaker 21: to go out of business. We're just asking them to...
- 1:29:55Speaker 21: stay being a library and quit doing all these things
- 1:29:57Speaker 21: that don't have anything to do with being a library,
- 1:30:00Speaker 21: like culinary kitchens, 125-person meeting rooms and all that. It's insanity,
- 1:30:05Speaker 21: $ 27 million on a building that the county auditor appraises
- 1:30:11Speaker 21: market value at $ 6 million. So I think there's a
- 1:30:13Speaker 21: bigger problem, and I think that while Portland needs to
- 1:30:17Speaker 21: take a look at what it's doing right now, I
- 1:30:18Speaker 21: think we need, I think the county commissioner should begin
- 1:30:21Speaker 21: some type of a Overall review, because how many taxes
- 1:30:25Speaker 21: are there? I have no idea. I know that the
- 1:30:28Speaker 21: county itself disperses, like I said the other day, between
- 1:30:31Speaker 21: $ 300 million and $ 400 million a year, not all that
- 1:30:34Speaker 21: local money. You're talking federal and everything else. But how
- 1:30:38Speaker 21: much money, how many different levies are there in Mahoney County,
- 1:30:42Speaker 21: and where are they going? And what's being done with
- 1:30:45Speaker 21: those things? I know that the MRD has an admirable mission.
- 1:30:50Speaker 21: but $ 40 million more on top of $ 60 million. My God,
- 1:30:54Speaker 21: that's a lot of money.
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: So you want $ 100 million a year?
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: $ 100 million a year. I mean, it's a ridiculous number
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: to ask. I mean, if I backed up, listen, will
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: I vote for that levy? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. But
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: I'll get back to that. But you take a look
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: at what you were saying about Youngstown. So we have
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: the people in Canfield facing a significant school levy because
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: if you live in Canfield, we're going to screw you
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: on your state tax dollars. They're your state tax dollars
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: that you pay in, right, that the people in Canfield
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: pay in. But we're not going to give as much
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: back to you as we do the city of Youngstown.
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: So you've got to tax yourself even more if you
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: want to upgrade your middle school. Stand by, Tom.
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: Just bear with me.
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Back with Tom Samory. More of your calls. Ron Verb

- 1:32:36Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 1:32:37Speaker 20: And Iran breaking the brief pause with renewed strikes. Iran

- 1:32:43Speaker 20: against a U.S. natural gas facility in Egypt. At the
- 1:32:46Speaker 20: White House, President Trump vowing a response.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: We're going to hit them very hard.
- 1:32:51Speaker 16: I mean, I can actually say that because there's very
- 1:32:53Speaker 16: little they can do about it.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: It was a different group than we're dealing with.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: They've already apologized. But, you know, we got to smack
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: them a little bit.
- 1:33:02Speaker 20: The war with Iran creating more uncertainty for oil and
- 1:33:05Speaker 20: gas prices. The Federal Reserve Board voting 9 to 3
- 1:33:08Speaker 20: to leave interest rates unchanged for now. Fed Chair Kevin
- 1:33:11Speaker 20: Warsh says the U.S. economy is showing some resilience.
- 1:33:14Speaker 23: The policy statement conveys just the facts. It's steering clear
- 1:33:18Speaker 23: of forecasting. A choice we consider especially prudent at these
- 1:33:23Speaker 23: uncertain times.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: Uncertainty, however..
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: Does not mean a lack of clarity.
- 1:33:29Speaker 20: On Capitol Hill, Anthony Fauci appearing before a Senate hearing
- 1:33:32Speaker 20: on the COVID response chaired by Republican Rand Paul, the
- 1:33:35Speaker 20: former medical advisor to President Trump during his first term,
- 1:33:38Speaker 20: and also headed the White House Coronavirus Task Force for
- 1:33:42Speaker 20: the Trump and Biden administrations. ABC's Jay O'Brien says Dr.
- 1:33:46Speaker 20: Fauci received a preemptive pardon from Biden and declined to
- 1:33:49Speaker 20: answer questions.
- 1:33:49Speaker 31: President Biden's preemptive pardon, in the words of the chairman
- 1:33:53Speaker 31: of this panel, Rand Paul, who would be the one
- 1:33:55Speaker 31: making any kind of criminal referral to the Justice Department,
- 1:33:58Speaker 31: doesn't cover future actions. It only is retroactive from the
- 1:34:02Speaker 31: date the pardon was issued.
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: Seemed to acknowledge that as well.
- 1:34:06Speaker 31: So what Fauci was saying in his opening statement there
- 1:34:09Speaker 31: is he believes that Chairman Paul is bent on putting him,
- 1:34:12Speaker 31: in Fauci's words, behind bars.
- 1:34:15Speaker 20: A federal jury has found Hadi Mattar guilty on all

- 1:34:24Speaker 20: right eye during an outdoor speaking engagement. Mattar is already

- 1:36:03Speaker 20: ABC's Hannah Bata. The Justice Department sought the help of
- 1:36:07Speaker 20: a notorious mobster to strengthen their criminal case against former
- 1:36:10Speaker 20: FBI Director James Comey for his post of seashells in
- 1:36:14Speaker 20: the formation of 8647.
- 1:36:16Speaker 26: Defense lawyers say prosecutors interviewed Sammy the Bull Gravano to
- 1:36:20Speaker 26: ask if he believed Comey's experience prosecuting the Gambino crime
- 1:36:24Speaker 26: family would have led him to believe the term 86
- 1:36:27Speaker 26: was a reference to murder. Gravano cooperated with the Department
- 1:36:30Speaker 26: of Justice in the 90s and admitted to his involvement
- 1:36:33Speaker 26: in 19 murders. But he told prosecutors that Comey's post
- 1:36:37Speaker 26: wasn't a personal threat to Trump. Comey's lawyers revealed the
- 1:36:40Speaker 26: details as part of their push to have the case

- 1:37:10Speaker 2: Back to it, NewsRadio 570, WKBN, with Tom Zammery on
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: this situation in Poland Township, which I think is a
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: dire situation at this point in time.
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: Would you agree with that, Tom?
- 1:37:23Speaker 21: Yes, if they don't have the money to pay employees
- 1:37:25Speaker 21: and they don't have the money to keep the continued government,
- 1:37:27Speaker 21: it is. And something has to be done. I don't
- 1:37:30Speaker 21: know enough about it. because I haven't studied it, to
- 1:37:33Speaker 21: say what should be done. Obviously, something needs to be
- 1:37:35Speaker 21: done in a way of getting money, and I don't know.
- 1:37:38Speaker 21: You know, they're asking a three-mill levy. I have no
- 1:37:41Speaker 21: idea how much money that is. And I think it
- 1:37:44Speaker 21: needs to be looked at like anything. Like the last
- 1:37:46Speaker 21: time I called, they talked about, you know, they pay
- 1:37:49Speaker 21: out all this money, and nobody takes a look at
- 1:37:51Speaker 21: what's happening with it. You know, what are we doing
- 1:37:53Speaker 21: with this money? You know, I thought I heard something
- 1:37:55Speaker 21: about the WRTA spending $ 60 million on their garage down there.
- 1:38:01Speaker 21: to build a new garage with a place for electric
- 1:38:03Speaker 21: buses and everything else? I mean, you've got to be
- 1:38:06Speaker 21: kidding me. All these things are happening, and no one
- 1:38:10Speaker 21: puts the whole picture together to say, where's all this
- 1:38:13Speaker 21: money coming from? And so I don't have an answer
- 1:38:17Speaker 21: for polling except that unless they take a short-term levy,
- 1:38:20Speaker 21: like you can have it for two years or something
- 1:38:24Speaker 21: like that, and in the meantime, you're going to have
- 1:38:26Speaker 21: to do something to correct your spending.
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: But I..
- 1:38:30Speaker 21: I really don't have... I couldn't make a clear judgment.
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: Let me bounce this off of you. There's a couple
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: of things.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: First of all, I don't think you can always cut
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: your way out of some of these situations. I don't
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: think you can say, well, we're going to cut and
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: we're going to get out of this situation. And let
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: me just Explain that for a minute and see if
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: you agree. Townships, government is affected by inflation as well.
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: Like I've said a million times, Tom, look at what
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: a fire truck used to cost and what it costs today.
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: Look at what a police car used to cost and
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: what it costs today. Look at what health care benefits
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: used to cost and what they cost today. I mean,
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: they are affected by inflation just as anybody else is
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: affected by it. So it's hard for them to operate
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: without some additional money to be able to provide the
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: same level of services, not additional services, the same level
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: of services that they have. I agree with you on that.
- 1:39:30Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: You're coming, though, at a time where... So we agree
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: on that. But here's what the problem is, the statement
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: that you made earlier. We are at a situation where
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: people can't afford this in their own households either. We
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: don't have enough people looking at what's happening to the
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: homeowner and their finances in their home.
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: You follow me? So they're not.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: They're not looking carefully at that particular situation because that
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: person in the home is saying, now what do I
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: do or where do I cut or I can't afford
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: to live in my home anymore because you taxed me
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: out of it. So I go back to say, why
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: is it that the states give so much money to Youngstown?
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: and tells the citizens of the city of Canfield, well,
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: you pay state taxes too, but you're not going to
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: get very much back because you should tax yourself more
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: because you're in a fluent community to replace your middle school,
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: which needs replaced.
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: You follow me?
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: I mean, it's so unfair. It penalizes people. Would you
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: agree with that?
- 1:40:32Speaker 21: I agree.
- 1:40:33Speaker 28: I agree.
- 1:40:34Speaker 21: I don't know why. I know there's a great difference
- 1:40:37Speaker 21: between what per capita given per student in Youngstown versus
- 1:40:42Speaker 21: the other townships around. It's a lot more money that's
- 1:40:45Speaker 21: given to the city of Youngstown. They spend a lot
- 1:40:47Speaker 21: more money per student. And that has to be looked at, too.
- 1:40:51Speaker 21: What are you doing with all that money? What are
- 1:40:53Speaker 21: you doing with $ 150 million?
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: I would propose to you, Tom, and you're a smart guy,
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: I think the entire system is collapsing. And I think
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: it's collapsing for a number of reasons. I think it's
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: collapsing because you have incompetent people sitting in some of
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: these elected positions that really aren't very good fiscally at
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: running an organization. And I think they're nothing short of
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: incompetent when it comes to that. The second thing is
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: we are at a time when government continues to grow
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: and And these people think government should just continue to
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: do more and more for everybody instead of saying no. So,
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: I mean, the basic functions of government, plow your roads,
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: be able to replace the plow trucks, which are expensive
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: and pay your people that are plowing the roads and
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: cleaning the culverts, have a police department that will respond
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: to your calls and have a fire department and a
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: zoning office. The basic necessities of what a township or
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: a The city can afford. This is what you have.
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: And this is what what what are the expenses of that?
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: We're going to have a park. Somebody's going to mow it.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: But we're not going to have some elaborate stuff in
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: the park because we can't afford it.
- 1:42:07Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: We can't.
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: It's just not affordable.
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: So that is how your community has to operate. And
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: then we got to take a look by saying. by
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: looking at the effect of the first appraisals and how
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: much taxes went up, now the reappraisals, and they're going
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: to go up even more, even though Dave Thomas has
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: it restricted to the rate of inflation. So there's a
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: lot of... There's so much that needs to be looked at,
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: all of this stuff, and fixed. But the immediate problem
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: in Poland Township is, are we going to be able
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: to pay the cops?
- 1:42:44Speaker 22: Right. I..
- 1:42:46Speaker 21: Without having done any study, I would say a levy
- 1:42:51Speaker 21: of a short period of time to solve this problem
- 1:42:55Speaker 21: and in the meantime work on, if you can, come
- 1:42:59Speaker 21: up with some other measures to reduce spending or whatever.
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: If you can reduce it.
- 1:43:07Speaker 21: Right, if you can.
- 1:43:09Speaker 4: If you can, because... You might not be able to
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: reduce it is what I'm trying to say.
- 1:43:14Speaker 21: I'm just surprised that they would go and spend money
- 1:43:17Speaker 21: on things that weren't absolutely essential. That's a big headache
- 1:43:22Speaker 21: as far as young people. They're spending things on some
- 1:43:24Speaker 21: kind of a park. Again, I haven't been paid.
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: But you bring up an excellent point on the other things.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: I mean, for people, people voted for the forever sales
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: tax for WRTA. It generates about $ 10 million and sometimes
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: more than that a year. So I say it again,
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: WRTA's biggest problem is figuring out how to spend all
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: the money they get coming in every year.
- 1:43:49Speaker 4: I mean, and that's why they're doing all these stupid things.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: Well, maybe we should say that isn't necessary and that
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: should be adjusted. Or when you're taking a look at
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: the library and all the extra money they have in
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: their bank accounts, well, that's your tax dollars. That's your
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: property tax money. Why do they have all of that?
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: That's your money. That should be in your bank account,
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: not their bank account. And where's the commissioners or the
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: people to say no? You know, I sit here and
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: I tell people, do not vote for the library levies.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: I don't. I won't. And they have more money than
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: they know what to do with. They have all this
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: money in a bank account. And now they're top heavy
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: with hiring all these people that aren't doing maintenance on
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: the buildings you've invested in, but are instead doing nothing but...
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: insulating the president of the library who doesn't seem very
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: vocal or reaching out to say, I want to address
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: the community in which is paying me for this position.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: I'm going to hire all of these mouthpieces to do
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: hit jobs on architects and stuff like that.
- 1:44:51Speaker 21: That's exactly what's happening. That's true. In particular one, I
- 1:44:56Speaker 21: won't get into the names, but I noticed more articles
- 1:45:00Speaker 21: in the paper supportive of the library. That's another thing.
- 1:45:05Speaker 21: The media, they were in favor of all this stuff.
- 1:45:08Speaker 21: Before they start endorsing things, they better start doing some study.
- 1:45:12Speaker 21: They better start looking at it. If you don't know
- 1:45:14Speaker 21: what you're talking about, don't go out there endorsing a levy.
- 1:45:17Speaker 21: That's what happens with the tripling of the property tax
- 1:45:23Speaker 21: for the library. That's what happened with WRTA getting that
- 1:45:26Speaker 21: kind of money. I can think of one horrible example
- 1:45:31Speaker 21: of of tax money going somewhere, and that's JobsOhio. Have
- 1:45:35Speaker 21: you ever heard of that, JobsOhio?
- 1:45:36Speaker 9: Yes, yes.
- 1:45:36Speaker 21: One of your callers one day called in, JobsOhio and
- 1:45:39Speaker 21: JobsOhio Beverage. They get hundreds of millions of dollars a
- 1:45:44Speaker 21: year from the state from some type of a beverage tax.
- 1:45:48Speaker 21: And then that's used supposedly for economic development. And when
- 1:45:53Speaker 21: Kasich was governor, he allowed the legislation to be passed,
- 1:45:57Speaker 21: but you couldn't. That wasn't subject to the Open Records
- 1:46:00Speaker 21: Act of Ohio. and you didn't always know what they
- 1:46:03Speaker 21: were doing with it. So it's at all levels. But
- 1:46:06Speaker 21: in addition to, you know, they better start taking a
- 1:46:08Speaker 21: look at what's going on closer, everybody. It just can't
- 1:46:14Speaker 21: go on like it is.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: No. No, it can't because you see the ramifications of
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: what's happening now.
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: It is genuinely. Take a look at the homeowner, Tom.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: Like I said, the initial increases that came at the
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: last appraisal, the additional increases that are coming as a
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: result of this appraisal. Their electric bill has doubled. Their
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: gasoline price is $ 4 a gallon. Groceries have gone up.
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: Healthcare costs have gone up. How much do these local
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: politicians think you can put on that local household for
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: it to survive? How much more can that person take
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: before you put them right into the poorhouse or price
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: them out of their house? Don't give me the lip service.
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: Talk is cheap. Deeds are precious. Let's do something about it.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: And you've got to look at the state as well
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: and how they're running the facility. But so much work
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: to do here, and the federal government's a whole other problem,
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: to say the least.
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: All right, my friend. It's always a pleasure to hear you.
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:47:19Speaker 21: Thank you.
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: All right, you're on air.
- 1:47:22Speaker 27: Hey, Ronnie, how are you doing today?
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: Good. Good.
- 1:47:26Speaker 27: Hey, yeah, the boss lady, I love her calls, but
- 1:47:29Speaker 27: I hope she's got like a heart monitor going on there.
- 1:47:33Speaker 4: Yes, she needs to go get some, what did she say?
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: She's Italian. She needs to get some good Italian food tonight,
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: You know what she needs? A good pizza.
- 1:47:45Speaker 28: There you go.
- 1:47:46Speaker 9: There you go.
- 1:47:47Speaker 27: Hey, but you guys are talking about, you know, the
- 1:47:50Speaker 27: mismanagement of spending and how they're trying to take money
- 1:47:53Speaker 27: from the rich to give to the poor. You know,
- 1:47:55Speaker 27: the whole Robin Hood thing, which growing up, you know,
- 1:47:58Speaker 27: listening to Robin Hood, you think, oh, that's a pretty
- 1:48:00Speaker 27: good deal. You know, Robin Hood, you know, stealing from
- 1:48:04Speaker 27: the rich and giving to the poor. But that's communism.
- 1:48:08Speaker 12: Basically, you know.
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: Well, that is what the state is doing.
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: I mean, seriously, God forbid for the people in the
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: city of Canfield, if the MRDD- levy would pass, which
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: I hope it doesn't, and if they would pass the
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: school levy there, in addition to the reevaluation increases, can
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: you imagine the tax bills that those people could get
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: in Canfield if all of that is successful? Can you
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: imagine it?
- 1:48:38Speaker 12: It's insane.
- 1:48:38Speaker 27: And I think I told you before, I think since
- 1:48:42Speaker 27: like 2000 till 2020 till now, my home evaluation almost doubled,
- 1:48:49Speaker 27: almost doubled. But my main point in calling is that
- 1:48:54Speaker 27: I think I might have told you before to look
- 1:48:57Speaker 27: it up. I don't know if you ever heard it,
- 1:48:59Speaker 27: but Rush Limbaugh, every Thanksgiving he had, I think it
- 1:49:03Speaker 27: was called the true story of Thanksgiving. And every Thanksgiving,
- 1:49:08Speaker 27: he would talk about when the pilgrims came over. And
- 1:49:12Speaker 27: you can look it up on YouTube. There are several
- 1:49:16Speaker 27: of them because, like, every year he did one. He
- 1:49:19Speaker 27: read it, the same story. But, yeah, look for the, like,
- 1:49:24Speaker 27: it takes like 20 minutes, but it's very, very interesting.
- 1:49:28Speaker 27: And I wish that all these young communists, you know,
- 1:49:32Speaker 27: would listen to this. and find out what really happens
- 1:49:36Speaker 27: with communism.
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: All right, my friends. The Unknown Caller, thank you. News
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: Radio 570, WKBN 519. Ron Verb, you're on the air.
- 1:49:47Speaker 14: G2.
- 1:49:48Speaker 12: Good evening, Ron.
- 1:49:50Speaker 4: Big problems here.
- 1:49:52Speaker 12: I heard about this polling meeting, and I'm a little
- 1:49:55Speaker 12: bit astonished all the time by these governments saying they
- 1:49:59Speaker 12: always need more money.
- 1:50:01Speaker 8: So..
- 1:50:02Speaker 12: You get new development. You have appraisals changing on a
- 1:50:06Speaker 12: regular basis. That means taxes are going up with inflation, right?
- 1:50:10Speaker 12: Your appraisals are rising. The tax base is going up.
- 1:50:14Speaker 12: The tax receipts are going up. And yet somehow they
- 1:50:17Speaker 12: then come back and say, oh, wait, there's inflation. We
- 1:50:21Speaker 12: have to not just raise your basis. We have to
- 1:50:23Speaker 12: raise your rates. We have to take more of what
- 1:50:26Speaker 12: money you have. It doesn't make sense. I mean, shouldn't
- 1:50:30Speaker 12: it be just that they keep their budget in line
- 1:50:33Speaker 12: with these appraisal increases, which, by the way, I don't
- 1:50:36Speaker 12: think are limited to homes? So you've got your residential
- 1:50:39Speaker 12: plus commercial real estate all being reappraised every six years, right,
- 1:50:44Speaker 12: unless there's a mid-cycle, and there are. And yet they
- 1:50:47Speaker 12: need more cash. Getting in a situation where you've got
- 1:50:51Speaker 12: a brand-new Suburban and you can't afford to have it
- 1:50:55Speaker 12: outfitted with the proper signage and gear, Yeah, this is
- 1:51:00Speaker 12: clearly a group that's in trouble. So I guess the
- 1:51:03Speaker 12: question is, what happens next in Poland? And while I
- 1:51:08Speaker 12: do not accept any of these sort of blanket solutions,
- 1:51:12Speaker 12: like regionalization is somehow going to save money, I don't
- 1:51:16Speaker 12: believe that's actually probably true. Regionalization means a bigger government
- 1:51:22Speaker 12: with a bigger appetite and more ideas.
- 1:51:23Speaker 11: Yep.
- 1:51:24Speaker 12: But here you've got Poland Village and Poland Township that
- 1:51:27Speaker 12: are interconnected like two little puzzle pieces. And yet they
- 1:51:31Speaker 12: have duplicative services, duplicative agencies. Why not merge them? Why
- 1:51:35Speaker 12: not bring these together, have one police department and one fire?
- 1:51:39Speaker 12: They have two separate, don't they?
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I believe.
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: So, yes.
- 1:51:45Speaker 12: So why not merge these things and start consolidation to
- 1:51:49Speaker 12: reduce costs? Because you've got a very small geographic footprint.
- 1:51:53Speaker 12: It just doesn't– none of this makes sense to me.
- 1:51:56Speaker 12: I don't understand.
- 1:51:56Speaker 9: Hmm.
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: It's– it is just a mess.
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: I mean, when we talk about these problems, like I
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: was saying to him, I'm not saying that government isn't
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: affected by inflation. I mean, for their employees, their health
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: care costs go up. The cost of their equipment goes up.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: and they often need more money to be able to
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: just stay even with the services they're providing if, in fact,
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: they're operating efficiently on everything else. There's the key. If
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: we're operating efficiently, they might stand by. Back with G2
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: in a minute. News Radio 570, Dodie Kivian. Welcome to Wednesday,
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: July 29th at 79 degrees. Ron Verb from the Kingdom
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: of Mahoney.
- 1:52:41Speaker 7: If you run a business, you know how hard..
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: And Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: I don't know how you don't... You just look at
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: this situation, G2, on a local level, and you say
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: things are really messed up. As I was saying to Tom,
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: you take a community like the city of Canfield who
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: pay state taxes and say, well, you guys are more affluent,
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: so you've got to pay even more in property taxes
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: if you want to update your middle school, which needs updated,
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: but we're going to give... All of this tax money
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: is state tax money to the city of Youngstown. I mean,
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: it isn't even equitable to what what they're doing as
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: far as your state tax dollars going back to your schools.
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: Like I said, so you got them facing a big
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: school levy in Canfield. You got this ridiculous MRDD levy,
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: which which they want to put on people. And if
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: those levies pass, in addition to the current reevaluations, how
- 1:53:35Speaker 2: do people stay in their homes in the city of Canfield?
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: I mean, how do they expect people to afford this?
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: No one cares.
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: They don't. It would be absolutely impossible for them to
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: care less. But I say to you, the entire system
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: is blowing up. The entire system is exploding. in part
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: due to inflation, and in part due to the growth
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: of government. Government getting bigger and doing more than it
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: should probably do in the first place, and the cost
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: of it. It's just out of control, even at the
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: county level, certainly.
- 1:54:12Speaker 4: Any comments?
- 1:54:15Speaker 12: I know a county that just hired a chief experience officer.
- 1:54:19Speaker 12: A chief experience officer. I mean, so... Again, if your
- 1:54:24Speaker 12: appraised values of the real estate that you're taxing are
- 1:54:27Speaker 12: going up, that means you automatically get property tax increases.
- 1:54:32Speaker 12: And those property tax increases may even exceed inflation because
- 1:54:36Speaker 12: real estate's popped more than some other things. I mean,
- 1:54:39Speaker 12: you look at inflation since 2020. We talked about this
- 1:54:41Speaker 12: the other day. It's net about 30%, right? We see
- 1:54:45Speaker 12: this every day when we go to the grocery store.
- 1:54:46Speaker 12: I know it's low now. It's like 2.10, but it's
- 1:54:51Speaker 12: cumulatively very, very... But what's property done in the Mahoney Valley?
- 1:54:56Speaker 12: It's up at least 30%. It's probably more than that.
- 1:54:58Speaker 12: So looking at the amount of tax they're taking in
- 1:55:01Speaker 12: and comparing that to the actual rate of inflation would
- 1:55:04Speaker 12: answer the question, and maybe we'll do this. We'll see
- 1:55:06Speaker 12: if we can figure this out. Are they actually being
- 1:55:10Speaker 12: forced to raise rates because of inflation or because they
- 1:55:13Speaker 12: just simply can't ever, ever have enough money? They always
- 1:55:18Speaker 12: need more. And I think it's the latter. You know,
- 1:55:21Speaker 12: you've got a stakeholder relations officer at the library system.
- 1:55:25Speaker 12: It's a library. What are they doing? When you talk
- 1:55:30Speaker 12: to Gino and you hear these stories about how he
- 1:55:33Speaker 12: has to, oh, all this spending, right? I didn't understand
- 1:55:36Speaker 12: until I was in the job.
- 1:55:37Speaker 11: Now we have to spend money on all these things.
- 1:55:40Speaker 12: I haven't heard anyone say and Gino say anything about
- 1:55:44Speaker 12: a single amount of expense that he has suggested be cut.
- 1:55:48Speaker 12: or a single suggestion that could result in the reduction
- 1:55:50Speaker 12: of the taxes being burdened on the people of the
- 1:55:53Speaker 12: Mahoning County. So it's this insatiable demand and the belief
- 1:56:00Speaker 12: that government is a higher priority than businesses. And what
- 1:56:02Speaker 12: I mean by that, you know, if any government entity
- 1:56:05Speaker 12: starts talking about pay cuts or reducing its workforce, everybody
- 1:56:10Speaker 12: goes nuts as if somehow the government worker is sacrosanct.
- 1:56:14Speaker 12: You can fire everybody that worked at everything from LTV
- 1:56:18Speaker 12: to Schwebel's and everything that happened in between. Fire them all.
- 1:56:22Speaker 12: Nobody cares. You fire one government worker, they're ready to
- 1:56:25Speaker 12: go out and burn things down. Listen, government also has
- 1:56:30Speaker 12: economic realities to deal with, or at least it would
- 1:56:33Speaker 12: if its citizens demanded that taxes stop going up. And again,
- 1:56:39Speaker 12: you've got appraisals. So total taxes paid are going to increase.
- 1:56:43Speaker 12: There is no justification for any entity to raise the
- 1:56:47Speaker 12: tax rates. If you've got an income tax, well, that
- 1:56:51Speaker 12: goes up, of course, with inflation. If you've got a
- 1:56:53Speaker 12: sales tax, it automatically goes up with inflation, right? I mean,
- 1:57:00Speaker 12: so you've got a sales tax, and that price is
- 1:57:03Speaker 12: up 30%. That means overall, let's just say the consumer
- 1:57:06Speaker 12: goods that are being taxed are up 30%. Okay, that
- 1:57:10Speaker 12: means they just got an adjustment reflecting the inflation. They
- 1:57:12Speaker 12: don't need to raise sales tax rates. There is never
- 1:57:15Speaker 12: an argument to do that. No justification whatsoever, period. It's
- 1:57:21Speaker 12: time for governments to be held in the box, in
- 1:57:24Speaker 12: the same economic constraints that companies and individuals face. But
- 1:57:29Speaker 12: for reasons that go to culture and the way we've
- 1:57:32Speaker 12: been groomed, we view government as... As the savior, the parent,
- 1:57:38Speaker 12: the one that takes care of us, the one that
- 1:57:40Speaker 12: should be paying for everything, this is what I call
- 1:57:42Speaker 12: the Sovietization of the United States. It simply has to stop.
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: All right, so with G2, maybe we'll take some calls
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: and more. We're here until 6, NewsRadio 570 WQBN.
- 1:57:52Speaker 7: Let's start here.
- 1:57:53Speaker 16: So good morning and welcome.
- 1:57:54Speaker 7: We are now underway. We're following the events of the day.
- 1:57:58Speaker 11: What we're just now hearing about.
- 1:57:59Speaker 7: This is new information. Throughout the day.
- 1:58:02Speaker 3: Good day.
- 1:58:02Speaker 14: This is where it stands now.
- 1:58:04Speaker 7: Pick up the conversation. We'll talk about what's happening.
- 1:58:07Speaker 3: Anytime.
- 1:58:08Speaker 7: The deal we reached with Iran.
- 1:58:09Speaker 10: Adele.
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: In the details.
- 1:58:10Speaker 16: Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 1:58:12Speaker 7: Maintain the Fed funds rate. Tying Pfizer to the save app.
- 1:58:15Speaker 20: NATO has been a paper tiger.
- 1:58:17Speaker 7: For the very latest. We'll see how that all plays out.
- 1:58:20Speaker 7: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:58:26Speaker 29: A man accused of carrying out a fatal shooting in
- 1:58:28Speaker 29: Puddin Bay this past week has been indicted by an
- 1:58:30Speaker 29: Ottawa County grand jury. 21-year-old Colton Smith allegedly shot and
- 1:58:34Speaker 29: killed a man, whose family has identified as 39-year-old Bob
- 1:58:37Speaker 29: Russell of Chesterfield, at a local bar and grill just
- 1:58:40Speaker 29: after midnight last Thursday. Smith's bond set at $ 1 million
- 1:58:43Speaker 29: as he faces multiple charges, including murder with a firearm
- 1:58:46Speaker 29: specification and tampering with evidence. A bill introduced in the
- 1:58:50Speaker 29: Ohio House looks to allow 16 and 17-year-olds the right
- 1:58:53Speaker 29: to vote in local and state elections, but not federal ones.
- 1:58:56Speaker 29: This would require a change in the Ohio Constitution. 60%
- 1:59:00Speaker 29: of lawmakers in the Ohio House and Senate would have
- 1:59:02Speaker 29: to approve a vote to place it on the ballot
- 1:59:04Speaker 29: to let voters decide. The 171st Ohio State Fair opening
- 1:59:09Speaker 29: today at the Ohio Expo Center and Fairgrounds in Columbus
- 1:59:12Speaker 29: and will run through August 9th.
- 1:59:15Speaker 7: I'm Sean Galviger. Listen on the.

- 1:59:24Speaker 7: Never sounded so good. A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling,
- 1:59:30Speaker 7: and one-day baths.
- 1:59:31Speaker 33: Road construction seems to be your only concern this afternoon.
- 1:59:34Speaker 33: You're stop and go on I-80 West from Salt Springs
- 1:59:38Speaker 33: Road to Route 46. That has traffic backed up to 422.
- 1:59:42Speaker 33: And speed limits reduced on I-80 in Mercer County. That's
- 1:59:46Speaker 33: from the Beaver Valley Expressway to the state line. You're
- 1:59:49Speaker 33: down to 50 miles per hour. I'm Mike Ross from
- 1:59:52Speaker 33: the Total Traffic Center.
- 1:59:53Speaker 24: This report is sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
- 1:59:56Speaker 4: Make sure your family is well..
- 1:59:58Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Back to it,
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: Ron Verb with G2 and... Let's see here. Wait a second.
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: You're on the air.
- 2:00:13Speaker 13: Hey, Ron.
- 2:00:14Speaker 12: Have a good day.
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: Thank you, Dick, from Dayton. You're on the air.
- 2:00:19Speaker 3: Man, finally.
- 2:00:20Speaker 11: The first time I called you was at 305. And
- 2:00:24Speaker 11: then I had to go through an hour of me
- 2:00:26Speaker 11: being called bad names because I'm a Democrat.
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:00:29Speaker 12: Not me personally, but different.
- 2:00:30Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 2:00:31Speaker 9: No, no, no, no.
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: It was directed at you personally.
- 2:00:33Speaker 9: G2.
- 2:00:34Speaker 10: Yes.
- 2:00:35Speaker 13: I heard..
- 2:00:39Speaker 11: The conversation you and Ron had yesterday. That's come I
- 2:00:42Speaker 11: wanted to call you. And there's two quick things that
- 2:00:45Speaker 11: I don't know if you're aware of, that you're totally
- 2:00:47Speaker 11: aware of what's going on.
- 2:00:50Speaker 12: Are you ready? Go ahead. Okay.
- 2:00:55Speaker 11: Now, I heard you and Ron having a discussion yesterday
- 2:00:58Speaker 11: about the flex cameras and the SAVE Act. Have you
- 2:01:05Speaker 11: read the SAVE Act?
- 2:01:08Speaker 22: Yes.
- 2:01:10Speaker 11: Okay, so you okay with the government, i.e., Donald Trump,
- 2:01:16Speaker 11: taking over the elections? And this is the same guy
- 2:01:20Speaker 11: that said, if I win, it's okay. If I lose,
- 2:01:24Speaker 11: I'm going to fight it. Are you okay with that
- 2:01:26Speaker 11: part of that?
- 2:01:28Speaker 12: So here's the point. We have foreign nationals in our
- 2:01:33Speaker 12: voter rolls. We have duplicates. We have, I think it's
- 2:01:36Speaker 12: 12 states with more registered voters. than people that are
- 2:01:41Speaker 12: eligible to be registered voters. So what we have is
- 2:01:45Speaker 12: a badly broken election system. We have states that don't
- 2:01:50Speaker 12: have voter ID. Ohio does. We have states using these
- 2:01:54Speaker 12: ballot marking devices, like Ohio uses in some cases, that
- 2:01:58Speaker 12: are absolutely untrue. You cannot tell how that vote was calculated.
- 2:02:03Speaker 12: So what we have is a system that's extraordinarily vulnerable.
- 2:02:07Speaker 12: And for reasons that seem obvious, a lot of elected
- 2:02:11Speaker 12: officials want to keep the system the way it is
- 2:02:14Speaker 12: and make sure it remains vulnerable. No other organization but
- 2:02:18Speaker 12: government would run a process like this. It's probably one
- 2:02:22Speaker 12: as critical as elections. Now, you want to bring Trump
- 2:02:26Speaker 12: into it. It's got nothing to do with Trump. This
- 2:02:29Speaker 12: is about making sure that our elections are secure.
- 2:02:34Speaker 8: So..
- 2:02:35Speaker 12: So what we need as a nation is clean voter
- 2:02:39Speaker 12: rolls and secure process. And we just don't have it.
- 2:02:42Speaker 12: So not only am I okay with this, it is,
- 2:02:45Speaker 12: I believe, a significant existential threat to the country that
- 2:02:50Speaker 12: our elections are so vulnerable and are obviously manipulated. And
- 2:02:53Speaker 12: I've got direct evidence of fraud that I've seen myself.
- 2:02:58Speaker 12: And then if you look across the nation, there's a
- 2:02:59Speaker 12: lot more of it.
- 2:03:01Speaker 11: Okay, the second thing real quick. Well, a lot of
- 2:03:04Speaker 11: people don't understand what's going on with Iran. Now, you
- 2:03:09Speaker 11: do understand the difference between the Shiites and the Sunnis, right?
- 2:03:14Speaker 11: The Shiites, right, believe that you should vote for the person,
- 2:03:20Speaker 11: for the leader. The Sunnis believe, you know, like when
- 2:03:24Speaker 11: Allah died, the Sunnis believe there should be somebody in
- 2:03:27Speaker 11: the family. That's because you have kings in Saudi Arabia
- 2:03:30Speaker 11: and kings in other places, and you don't have kings
- 2:03:33Speaker 11: with Iran, the Houthis, and.
- 2:03:37Speaker 12: Lebanon.
- 2:03:38Speaker 11: So my question to you is, don't you understand that
- 2:03:41Speaker 11: this is a doggone religious war that's been going on
- 2:03:45Speaker 11: for 100 years?
- 2:03:47Speaker 12: Well, the war between the Sunni and the Sunni have
- 2:03:49Speaker 12: been going as long as there's been Islam, right? So
- 2:03:54Speaker 12: that's not new, if that's what you mean.
- 2:03:59Speaker 11: Well, what I'm saying is this. Let me say this
- 2:04:00Speaker 11: real quick, then I'll listen to you. Let me say
- 2:04:02Speaker 11: this real quick. We've always sided with the Sunnis. You know,
- 2:04:08Speaker 11: the Saudi Arabias, the Iraq, you know, the Sunnis. We
- 2:04:12Speaker 11: have never really sided with the Shiites. Why are we
- 2:04:16Speaker 11: doing that?
- 2:04:19Speaker 12: Well, look, as you know, places like Saudi Arabia and
- 2:04:24Speaker 12: Qatar depend upon the United States helping protect them in
- 2:04:28Speaker 12: order for them to maintain their kingdoms. If it wasn't
- 2:04:31Speaker 12: for our military there, those kingdoms would have been overthrown
- 2:04:34Speaker 12: long ago. They have so much wealth concentrated in such
- 2:04:39Speaker 12: small hands, small number of hands, and just the nature
- 2:04:44Speaker 12: of this Sunni-Shia battle and all the other internet scene
- 2:04:48Speaker 12: fighting that goes on, you know, our military presence in
- 2:04:51Speaker 12: the Middle East, in part, provides stability in those countries,
- 2:04:56Speaker 12: and therefore stability for the world. That's actually a positive
- 2:04:59Speaker 12: of us being there. But I don't think we're ever
- 2:05:02Speaker 12: going to solve the fight between those two groups if
- 2:05:05Speaker 12: we could simply, though, get them to the point that
- 2:05:10Speaker 12: it's collaborative. I mean, this advancement with the Abraham Accords
- 2:05:13Speaker 12: was a truly remarkable change. where you could start going
- 2:05:16Speaker 12: in other countries without having your passport stamped outside of
- 2:05:20Speaker 12: your passport because one country might not let you in
- 2:05:23Speaker 12: because you have another country's passport stamped because you went
- 2:05:26Speaker 12: there once. I mean, it was crazy. You weren't able
- 2:05:30Speaker 12: to make phone calls in some cases between countries. A
- 2:05:33Speaker 12: lot of that got resolved in that first Trump term,
- 2:05:35Speaker 12: and that was a really good thing. Now, this thing
- 2:05:38Speaker 12: with Iran, as everybody that knows except Frank, because he
- 2:05:42Speaker 12: doesn't seem to listen very carefully, he's got a cognitive
- 2:05:44Speaker 12: issue or something. I was never in favor of this
- 2:05:48Speaker 12: war in Iran. When Trump attacked them last year, I
- 2:05:52Speaker 12: was extremely concerned until I saw the way he exited.
- 2:05:56Speaker 12: He took that nuclear threat that all the globalists in
- 2:05:59Speaker 12: Israel and everybody was screaming about, he took it off
- 2:06:02Speaker 12: the table. It was a brilliant stroke because he did
- 2:06:04Speaker 12: it with minimal loss of life, a tremendous execution by
- 2:06:08Speaker 12: the U.S. military, and just took it, it just ended it,
- 2:06:10Speaker 12: and didn't go further with the war. Well, that wasn't
- 2:06:14Speaker 12: good enough for Lindsey Graham and all these others, so...
- 2:06:16Speaker 12: He had to go in again, and this was, I think,
- 2:06:19Speaker 12: a significant mistake for Donald Trump to launch that attack
- 2:06:23Speaker 12: against Iran when he did. I do not believe there
- 2:06:26Speaker 12: was a significant nuclear threat at this time. I do believe,
- 2:06:30Speaker 12: based on the fights in the White House, that Assad
- 2:06:33Speaker 12: and Israel convinced him to do it and convinced him
- 2:06:35Speaker 12: it would be easy. This was Trump's biggest mistake. It
- 2:06:40Speaker 12: is blocked at this war. Now, nevertheless, now it's launched.
- 2:06:45Speaker 12: We can't put that genie back in the bottle. So
- 2:06:48Speaker 12: what do we do? And that's where we came to
- 2:06:50Speaker 12: last night with the two options. Maybe more than two,
- 2:06:53Speaker 12: if you dig in, but generally two. Withdraw, declare victory
- 2:06:58Speaker 12: and withdraw, or isolate the country economically until they finally
- 2:07:05Speaker 12: come to an agreement that works and they can be
- 2:07:08Speaker 12: held to that agreement. Not a small task. I appreciate your..
- 2:07:11Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 2:07:14Speaker 11: I appreciate you taking my call, but I still think
- 2:07:17Speaker 11: the biggest mistake Trump did was not releasing Epstein's files.
- 2:07:21Speaker 11: Once again, thanks for taking my call, man.
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: That's what we do.
- 2:07:26Speaker 12: I appreciate it. And that would be, we could analyze
- 2:07:29Speaker 12: that for a while, because that was the first major break.
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: Well, you were opposed to that, too. I mean, you
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: thought that was a bad move on Trump's part, too.
- 2:07:37Speaker 12: I think he should have just dumped him. I don't
- 2:07:39Speaker 12: care what his role is. He should have just put
- 2:07:42Speaker 12: him out. Let them be what they were. And all
- 2:07:44Speaker 12: these pages that are still hidden should be released as well.
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: Right. I mean, if you go back, you were opposed
- 2:07:52Speaker 2: to the war from the very beginning and you were
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: for putting the Epstein files out there. And if you
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: take a look at Trump's declining poll numbers, they seem to.
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: correspond with those two issues. Would you not agree?
- 2:08:02Speaker 12: Oh, absolutely. Those were the two major hits that he took. And,
- 2:08:07Speaker 12: you know, as Immanuel said, it's not just Republicans or
- 2:08:11Speaker 12: what does Ted always talk about, the MAGA cult or whatever? No, no, no.
- 2:08:14Speaker 12: This was something that went across the entirety of the
- 2:08:17Speaker 12: coalition that voted for Trump. And in the case of
- 2:08:20Speaker 12: the Epstein files, people that didn't vote for Trump. But,
- 2:08:23Speaker 12: you know, Israel has a strong voice. This was their operation.
- 2:08:27Speaker 12: I'm sure the CIA joined them in it. And, you know,
- 2:08:30Speaker 12: they got the big, beautiful bill passed. Netanyahu flies to
- 2:08:33Speaker 12: town and Epstein becomes a hoax. I think this was
- 2:08:36Speaker 12: a major mistake. Trump should have told whoever he had
- 2:08:40Speaker 12: to tell, he should have released everything. And the way...
- 2:08:45Speaker 12: bondi went through the theater i thought my test in
- 2:08:48Speaker 12: that silly thing with the with the file she handed
- 2:08:51Speaker 12: to the to the social media implores that's the worst
- 2:08:54Speaker 12: messaging we've ever seen from donald trump i mean i
- 2:08:57Speaker 12: that was just terribly terribly poorly handled and it cost
- 2:09:00Speaker 12: him and you know now what i see is massive
- 2:09:05Speaker 12: amounts of money being poured into social media and corporate
- 2:09:07Speaker 12: media to further divide that coalition they got trump elected
- 2:09:12Speaker 12: because that coalition The coalition that stands up for the
- 2:09:15Speaker 12: United States in the interest of its people is the
- 2:09:17Speaker 12: greatest threat to the globalists and all the foreign powers
- 2:09:21Speaker 12: that want to control this country, the cartels, right, who
- 2:09:24Speaker 12: lost billions of dollars when Trump stopped the border flows, right,
- 2:09:29Speaker 12: the Indians whose H-1B visas and worker outsource programs are
- 2:09:33Speaker 12: a major part of their economy. Israel, who obviously controls
- 2:09:38Speaker 12: much of Congress and would like to control more. And
- 2:09:40Speaker 12: you don't believe me, listen to Barry Goldwater, for God's sakes.
- 2:09:43Speaker 12: I mean, this isn't new, right? All these forces that
- 2:09:47Speaker 12: want to control the United States, all of whom seem
- 2:09:50Speaker 12: to have a voice in Congress except us. So, I mean,
- 2:09:55Speaker 12: we've got a problem here. And unless the American people
- 2:09:58Speaker 12: get more activated, we're not going to fix it.
- 2:10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and it is a major issue that's that's going
- 2:10:07Speaker 2: on now. By the way, you want to talk about
- 2:10:11Speaker 2: an issue here, you know, let's see, Republican Governor Mike
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: DeWine stated that, let's see, wait a minute, I want
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: to back up here. I want to make sure I
- 2:10:22Speaker 2: get this straight.
- 2:10:22Speaker 9: Okay.
- 2:10:23Speaker 2: A Republican governor in a state that voted to elect
- 2:10:26Speaker 2: President Donald Trump is facing intense backlash online after an
- 2:10:29Speaker 2: interview arguing against the president's order to end temporary protective status.
- 2:10:34Speaker 2: to migrants from the United States. Republican Mike DeWine states
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: is home to an estimated 30,000 Haitians. He told CBS
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: earlier this week that the Haitians shouldn't be sent back
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: to their country of origin. Haiti is hell today, so
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: you'd be sending people back to hell. Very few of
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: these Haitians will voluntarily go back to Haiti. If they
- 2:10:57Speaker 2: have to leave, they'll go somewhere else. They want to work.
- 2:11:00Speaker 2: They want to support their families. They will not go
- 2:11:03Speaker 2: back to Haiti. This is DeWine, a Republican governor here.
- 2:11:12Speaker 12: Well, a quasi-Republican. So, look, this is a man who
- 2:11:15Speaker 12: has a school that he sponsors in Haiti. He's very
- 2:11:18Speaker 12: active in Haiti. He's gone down there a lot of times.
- 2:11:21Speaker 12: You could hear him just gush about how much he
- 2:11:24Speaker 12: loves Haiti until it's time to send a Haitian to Haiti.
- 2:11:28Speaker 12: And then suddenly it's hell. Well, listen... I say we
- 2:11:31Speaker 12: make Haiti great again. And we do that by sending
- 2:11:34Speaker 12: these people there, because we're told that the only thing
- 2:11:37Speaker 12: that makes the United States great is this mass migration,
- 2:11:41Speaker 12: because all these people are better than us. Send them
- 2:11:43Speaker 12: home with all the skills they acquired when they took
- 2:11:47Speaker 12: jobs like the jobs in Springfield that they took in
- 2:11:49Speaker 12: manufacturing facilities at 50% of the wage an American would
- 2:11:53Speaker 12: be paid for that job. So here what you have
- 2:11:55Speaker 12: is now a highly trained workforce, that's willing to work
- 2:11:58Speaker 12: at a very low wage. Send them home. Let's make
- 2:12:01Speaker 12: Haiti great again. And I know it's going to be
- 2:12:04Speaker 12: uncomfortable for the employer to actually go hire Americans to
- 2:12:08Speaker 12: fill those jobs. But you know what? You're going to
- 2:12:10Speaker 12: have to do that.
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: You're going to have to.
- 2:12:12Speaker 12: Just go hire Americans as much as you hate it.
- 2:12:14Speaker 2: What did you make of Fauci today taking the fifth
- 2:12:17Speaker 2: and all the lawyers around him? What did you make
- 2:12:20Speaker 2: of that fiasco?
- 2:12:22Speaker 12: Well, first of all, obviously it was predictable. We knew
- 2:12:25Speaker 12: the man wouldn't say anything that was in any way meaningful.
- 2:12:28Speaker 12: But what I found interesting is that so many senators
- 2:12:31Speaker 12: stood up and made statements or asked questions that inferred
- 2:12:34Speaker 12: statements that reflected the things that we talked about on
- 2:12:38Speaker 12: this show.
- 2:12:39Speaker 6: And we were.
- 2:12:41Speaker 12: Called crazy for things that people told us could not
- 2:12:44Speaker 12: be true. You know, and somebody earlier said that Fauci
- 2:12:48Speaker 12: is a mass murderer, and the conversation popped up twice
- 2:12:51Speaker 12: today in two different settings where he was being compared
- 2:12:54Speaker 12: to Pol Pot. Now, you think about Pol Pot, who
- 2:12:56Speaker 12: we think of as one of the biggest mass murderers
- 2:12:58Speaker 12: in history, right? The guy from Cambodia. Well, Pol Pot
- 2:13:03Speaker 12: killed one-third of his population, so by that rate, he's
- 2:13:07Speaker 12: one of the most significant. But he only killed two
- 2:13:09Speaker 12: and a half million people. Cambodia was seven and a
- 2:13:11Speaker 12: half million about the time... People can look at those
- 2:13:14Speaker 12: numbers more carefully. I haven't looked at this in a
- 2:13:15Speaker 12: long time. Let's call it 2.5 million people. Fauci killed
- 2:13:19Speaker 12: more people than Pol Pot between his sick testing, lying
- 2:13:25Speaker 12: about the disease, lying about its implications, and enforcing deadly treatments.
- 2:13:33Speaker 12: I actually heard a senator today, I can't remember who
- 2:13:36Speaker 12: it was, maybe it was Ron Johnson, who said... that
- 2:13:41Speaker 12: the nurse is called remdesivir run death is near. I
- 2:13:45Speaker 12: heard that from a nurse in Ohio. I heard that
- 2:13:48Speaker 12: back then. I said that on this channel a thousand times.
- 2:13:52Speaker 12: They forced these patients to take deadly treatments they knew
- 2:13:55Speaker 12: were either ineffective or could possibly kill them. I heard
- 2:13:59Speaker 12: a story once where a She watched somebody carry five
- 2:14:03Speaker 12: treatments or five, you know, I don't know, doses, if
- 2:14:06Speaker 12: you will, courses of treatment of remdesivir up to the
- 2:14:09Speaker 12: COVID ward, and then they carried out five bodies. You know,
- 2:14:13Speaker 12: so these things were said in the U.S. Congress today.
- 2:14:16Speaker 12: This is something we couldn't even imagine five years ago
- 2:14:19Speaker 12: when they said we were all crazy, when we were
- 2:14:21Speaker 12: looking at the numbers and reading newspapers from around the
- 2:14:24Speaker 12: world and reporting what's actually going on. So there was
- 2:14:28Speaker 12: a huge breakthrough from that standpoint. Now, the fact that
- 2:14:31Speaker 12: Fauci sat there looking a little glum, right? He's used
- 2:14:36Speaker 12: to being praised and polished by whoever. The way he
- 2:14:40Speaker 12: treated him, of course, was obscene. So watching him sit
- 2:14:45Speaker 12: there and at least take some medicine was great. But
- 2:14:48Speaker 12: the point I think you made earlier in the show,
- 2:14:51Speaker 12: he will never be prosecuted. And it doesn't matter that
- 2:14:53Speaker 12: he's got a federal pardon. He's got state issues, too.
- 2:14:57Speaker 12: But he'll never be prosecuted. None of the thousands of
- 2:15:00Speaker 12: people that are complicit in the murder of Americans will
- 2:15:05Speaker 12: be dealt with. All those people who were killed in
- 2:15:09Speaker 12: nursing homes in New York and Michigan and California and
- 2:15:11Speaker 12: other states, none of that will be dealt with. So
- 2:15:15Speaker 12: we'll never see justice done. But at least we're at
- 2:15:18Speaker 12: a point now where the conversation in Congress is rational
- 2:15:22Speaker 12: and they're talking about real justice. actual things that happened
- 2:15:26Speaker 12: during that time. We can never allow the government to
- 2:15:29Speaker 12: do that to us again. Not create the disease, not
- 2:15:32Speaker 12: force a deadly medicine on us, and not shut down
- 2:15:37Speaker 12: the economy because, you know, they want to destroy and
- 2:15:41Speaker 12: get total dictatorial control.
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: How about his statement that he made in public versus
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: what he wrote in his diary?
- 2:15:47Speaker 4: I mean, he knowingly knew he was lying.
- 2:15:49Speaker 12: Oh, he knew.
- 2:15:50Speaker 20: He knew.
- 2:15:51Speaker 13: We knew.
- 2:15:51Speaker 12: He knew. The only people that didn't know that he
- 2:15:55Speaker 12: knew were the people that believed ABC, CBS, NBC, you know,
- 2:15:59Speaker 12: the Wall Street Journal, and the rest of it. If
- 2:16:02Speaker 12: you were listening to corporate meeting, you thought, well, they're experts.
- 2:16:05Speaker 12: If you thought that guy that was on CNBC all
- 2:16:07Speaker 12: the time, can't remember his name, but he was a
- 2:16:09Speaker 12: board member from Pfizer, and people, Gottlieb, Scott Gottlieb. If
- 2:16:12Speaker 12: you thought Scott Gottlieb was telling you the truth because
- 2:16:15Speaker 12: he had a resume, well, then you didn't know what
- 2:16:18Speaker 12: was going on.
- 2:16:20Speaker 4: All right, hang on there. Back in a minute. News
- 2:16:22Speaker 4: Radio 570 WKBN.
- 2:16:26Speaker 7: I'm 90 WKBN.
- 2:16:34Speaker 2: Looking at the countdown, 555 till... We wrap it up
- 2:16:39Speaker 2: 77 degrees on this Wednesday, July 29th. I mean, the
- 2:16:43Speaker 2: whole Fauci thing to me, nothing's going to happen to him.
- 2:16:46Speaker 2: That's what my problem is. I mean, they funded the
- 2:16:48Speaker 2: lab in Wuhan. And so there's zero accountability for the
- 2:16:53Speaker 2: damage that was done to the economy, the people that died.
- 2:16:55Speaker 4: I mean, COVID was a real thing. COVID wasn't fake.
- 2:17:00Speaker 2: COVID was something created in a In this gain-of-function lab
- 2:17:03Speaker 2: in China funded by Fauci, he won't be held accountable.
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: He won't be held responsible. And basically, they're going to
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: get away with it, just as the people who perpetrated
- 2:17:16Speaker 2: the Russian hoax.
- 2:17:17Speaker 4: Well, pretty much they got away with it.
- 2:17:20Speaker 2: Everybody says, boy, when Trump gets in office and we're
- 2:17:23Speaker 2: going to get some degree of justice.
- 2:17:25Speaker 4: Nothing happens. These people all get.
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: Away with all of this craziness that's detrimental to the country.
- 2:17:31Speaker 2: They hurt the country for three years by saying Russia, Russia, Russia,
- 2:17:36Speaker 2: Russia when it came to Trump's first election.
- 2:17:38Speaker 4: They hurt this country. No one's held accountable for that
- 2:17:43Speaker 4: at all.
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: Zero.
- 2:17:45Speaker 4: What they did with COVID, no one's held accountable for it.
- 2:17:48Speaker 6: Zero.
- 2:17:48Speaker 2: So this idea of we'll hold these hearings, they don't
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: accomplish anything other than informing us of what went on,
- 2:17:56Speaker 2: which we already knew was what was going on. But
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: the Democrats still don't believe anything about Fauci, which is
- 2:18:02Speaker 2: just bizarre to me that they just sit there.
- 2:18:04Speaker 12: It's not that they don't believe it, Ron. They know
- 2:18:07Speaker 12: exactly what happened. They're simply covering their position. They know
- 2:18:10Speaker 12: what happened. They are criminal co-conspirators. Those senators that sat
- 2:18:14Speaker 12: there today and said there's nothing to talk about, that
- 2:18:16Speaker 12: it's a shame that this great man is being questioned,
- 2:18:20Speaker 12: all of them know what happened. None of them are confused.
- 2:18:23Speaker 12: They are criminal co-conspirators.
- 2:18:25Speaker 4: But do you know where I'm coming from?
- 2:18:26Speaker 2: That all of this stuff that we're going to make
- 2:18:30Speaker 2: sure gets done, it seems like when the Republicans are
- 2:18:32Speaker 2: finally in that position, there is just zero accountability.
- 2:18:37Speaker 12: And there you come to the Uniparty. I mean, they
- 2:18:40Speaker 12: give speeches when they serve in power. When they have
- 2:18:44Speaker 12: power to actually take action, they do nothing. And it's
- 2:18:47Speaker 12: the deep state. It's this massive problem we've got with
- 2:18:50Speaker 12: the federal government and state, local, county, townships, library boards,
- 2:18:55Speaker 12: school boards. It's all of this. It is a broken model. And,
- 2:19:00Speaker 12: you know, I think the burden it's placing on the
- 2:19:03Speaker 12: economy is, is what you keep talking about, this economy
- 2:19:06Speaker 12: being stressed. When you look at these debt numbers on
- 2:19:09Speaker 12: the household, you see the rise in defaults for household debt.
- 2:19:13Speaker 12: You know, you see corporate debts getting in trouble. You
- 2:19:17Speaker 12: see crazy things like this AI investment, but there's no
- 2:19:20Speaker 12: economic model that can support it. There's none. There's no
- 2:19:23Speaker 12: economic model that supports these AI numbers. And yet, they're
- 2:19:27Speaker 12: dumping trillions in. They want to do a trillion and
- 2:19:29Speaker 12: a half dollars more on top of what they've already done.
- 2:19:32Speaker 12: It's insanity... And we're simply a system out of control.
- 2:19:36Speaker 2: It is just so damn disappointing. And somewhere along the line,
- 2:19:43Speaker 2: the Republicans haven't codified these executive orders. They haven't got
- 2:19:49Speaker 2: back to the American agenda. It is just so damn disappointing.
- 2:19:55Speaker 2: And the Democrats aren't a choice with their wacky agenda.
- 2:20:00Speaker 12: No, they're not.
- 2:20:01Speaker 2: No.
- 2:20:02Speaker 12: Many Republicans gave MAGA speeches to get elected, and now
- 2:20:06Speaker 12: they're saying, wait a minute, this America First thing, that
- 2:20:08Speaker 12: would require good policy. I'm going to fight that. That's
- 2:20:12Speaker 12: a bunch of them. So the American people just simply
- 2:20:15Speaker 12: have to put the foot down and stop accepting it.
- 2:20:17Speaker 4: Thank you, G2. Appreciate it.
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: G2.
- 2:20:20Speaker 4: And a lot to talk about today.
- 2:20:22Speaker 7: Stay tuned.
- 2:20:23Speaker 4: Hannity's coming up next. Ron Furb checking in with Bob Dieter.
