Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, son of Chiefs assistant coach Eric Bieniemy, has been arrested in Loudoun County, Virginia, facing serious charges including malicious wounding and firearm use in a felony after allegedly shooting his mother, Mia Bieniemy, 57, who is now in stable condition. Elijah is being held without bond. Eric Bieniemy was away with the Chiefs in Missouri at the time and the team has issued a brief statement supporting the family’s privacy during this difficult time.
