Transcript
- 0:00Trevor: My name is Trevor Matthews, founder of refrigeration mentor.com. Over the past decade, I've trained tens of thousands of refrigeration technicians and contractors on supermarket refrigeration, and I've seen the same problem across the industry. Technicians are under pressure, second guessing, and getting stuck on jobs too long.
- 0:03And he spent the time, and I mean, I've trained thousands of people on CO2. Andrew was like one of the few, and there's many, I'll be honest, there's quite a few out there, but you've just been persistent. You need to know, and that's what it, what it was. And I could see you, when we even talked, I seen him learning and then when you get into the quizzes and the assignments, you were asking question, well, what does this question really mean?
- 0:06Trevor: Some of the big things that we see. 'cause Andrew we're always talking about different jobs he is on and taking a look at it. While he is out there, he is like, he sends me pictures. He is like, take a look at this picture. And for an example, the drop leg sensor, you know that the gas cooler outlet sensors the most important sensor in a CO2 sensor.
- 0:09Yes, it is. Higher pressures, but once again, there's just little tips and tricks. Like I remember early days like. 10, eight years ago, but he's calling up. Or even in the last four or five years, my friends call and like Trevor, I'm on call and I'm at a CO2 store. I've never put CO2 in a system like that can be intimidating.
- 0:12So then we talk about our systems that we're working on today in your classroom. I think that's a huge help because, because you, you could identify your own problems and you just like this, have a conversation and we'll figure it out. Yeah. So I think that was a huge, huge be benefit on that.
- 0:15Andrew: Yeah. And that's where you gotta get the manufacturer. Fractured recommendation as far as what they're looking for. But yeah. Yeah, I mean, those are the things, and, and understanding the basics of CO2 is huge too.
- 0:18I mean, that, that's a huge game changer. And honestly, I wouldn't be doing a startup. Doing in the position that I'm in, if I didn't take, you know, these courses that I've been taking with you. It's, yeah, it's huge, huge push for me to get out there. And then, and then also, explaining to my boss what I need and what I want.
- 0:21Andrew: Oh, the growth of CO2. I mean, like I said, if I could just do that, that's, that's all I would do. That's all I would do. And then moving into the startups I really enjoyed it. Got, getting a case up and running from scratch, you know, it's just fun.
