Fiberglass in IV Fluids Triggers Recall | Dayton News
A nationwide recall is underway for two lots of Baxter’s saline IV solution after fiberglass contamination was found—potentially causing blood clots, organ damage, or worse. Affected products, shipped between July 31 and August 3, include 500mL VIAFLEX containers with lot numbers Y495523 and Y495523A. Hospitals must stop using them immediately and return them to Baxter.
