- 0:00Speaker 1: And the Kracking power play Lord.
- 0:02Speaker 2: This is the krak Postgame Show, brought to you by
- 0:06Speaker 2: Toyota of Olympia. Now for an in depth look at
- 0:09Speaker 2: your Kraken hockey. It's the post game. I'm the Global
- 0:13Speaker 2: Credit Union Kraken Audio Network back.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Gets out of Climate Plage Arena.
- 0:17Speaker 4: It's a five to three Seattle Kraken win over the
- 0:21Speaker 4: Winnipeg Jets. Everet fits you, Al Kaniski ride Shotgun Cracking.
- 0:26Speaker 3: They're eighth win of the.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Season, now up to twenty one points for the time being,
- 0:30Speaker 4: back in third place in that Pacific Division. And this
- 0:34Speaker 4: was a game I think the Kraken really needed for
- 0:37Speaker 4: a variety of reasons. Number One, back to back losses,
- 0:40Speaker 4: back to back two to one losses, including a shootout
- 0:44Speaker 4: loss on Tuesday. You get five goals here tonight, which
- 0:47Speaker 4: is your highest goal total of the season, ten different
- 0:50Speaker 4: players recording points. Multipoint mikes tonight from the captain, Jordan Everley,
- 0:55Speaker 4: Matty Vaniers, and Vince Dunn who led the way with
- 0:58Speaker 4: the goal.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And to assist.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Everything that could go right did go right, with the
- 1:03Speaker 4: exception of Coppolocago leaving this game earlier, but all overall
- 1:07Speaker 4: I think this was probably one of the best games
- 1:10Speaker 4: of the year for Seattle.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Well and holding this Winnipeg Jets team, it is very
- 1:13Speaker 5: talented to single digit shots on goal eight in the
- 1:16Speaker 5: first period, two before in the first period, but they
- 1:18Speaker 5: held them to nine in the third period. They're being
- 1:21Speaker 5: down for most of that third. That's impressive against that team.
- 1:25Speaker 5: They've got all kinds of talent. They had the power
- 1:27Speaker 5: play goal, they had the breakaway, blocking a lot of shots.
- 1:32Speaker 6: The Cracker work tonight. How about all.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Time coming into this game, the Cracking were three, six
- 1:36Speaker 4: and four against the Winnipeg Jets. Nine of those games
- 1:40Speaker 4: decided by a single goal. Cracking one and two. Last
- 1:43Speaker 4: year they were zero three to two in their last
- 1:46Speaker 4: five coming in. Now they've won two in a row
- 1:48Speaker 4: against the Winnipeg Jets, So maybe they found a bit
- 1:51Speaker 4: of the secret sauce against Winnipeg this season.
- 1:54Speaker 6: I mean, I don't think it's just Winnipeg.
- 1:56Speaker 5: I think the secret sauce is that when this team
- 1:58Speaker 5: decides to grind, when this team decides to win puck battles,
- 2:01Speaker 5: board battles, battles in front of the net, they're very
- 2:04Speaker 5: hard to play against. And I think That's probably a
- 2:06Speaker 5: consistent message you'd hear from other teams about playing the
- 2:09Speaker 5: Seattle Cracking is they're a very difficult team to play against.
- 2:12Speaker 5: And it's not because they're going to out hit you.
- 2:14Speaker 5: They were out hit tonight twenty to fourteen. A pick
- 2:17Speaker 5: is a very physical team, but those puck battles are
- 2:20Speaker 5: different along the boards, those wear over the course of
- 2:22Speaker 5: the sixty minute game.
- 2:23Speaker 3: And you mentioned grinding.
- 2:24Speaker 4: In the last few games, that fourth line, Ty Karsha,
- 2:27Speaker 4: Ben Myers, Ryan Winterton, they really have been the straw
- 2:31Speaker 4: that stirs this team's drink. And I remember, going into
- 2:34Speaker 4: this third period had challenged you. I said, I would
- 2:37Speaker 4: like to see more from the rest of the lineup.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Two goals from Emberley, two assists from Matty Beaneers, another
- 2:43Speaker 4: assist from Done, an assist from Chandler Stevenson, a goal
- 2:47Speaker 4: from Elliot Tolbynen and.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Assist from Mason Marshman as well.
- 2:50Speaker 4: So your big players, your main top six guys, all
- 2:54Speaker 4: chipping in offensively in this third period.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Yeah. Absolutely, and that's a big part of it.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I think that, you know, we talked a little bit
- 3:00Speaker 5: about the challenge in the face offf dot it got
- 3:02Speaker 5: better over the course of the game. Channeler Stephenson specifically,
- 3:05Speaker 5: who was struggling against Shipley, ended up the game at
- 3:09Speaker 5: forty one percent, but for a period there it was
- 3:12Speaker 5: really low because he was battling with him, and he
- 3:15Speaker 5: found a way to start winning some of those draws.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Kracking found a way to find the back of the
- 3:19Speaker 5: net there later in the game as well.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Five to three Cracking win over the Winnipeg Jets. How
- 3:24Speaker 4: about the play Philip Grubauer here this evening, he saw
- 3:28Speaker 4: twenty six shots steered clear, twenty three of them.
- 3:34Speaker 6: There's my math thing.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah, steered clear twenty three of those shots.
- 3:39Speaker 4: And I thought that he had a really strong game
- 3:41Speaker 4: his first start and quiet some time after back to
- 3:44Speaker 4: back great a performances for Matt Murray.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I mean, the Cracking coaching staff have
- 3:49Speaker 5: a difficult decision. I just I don't see carrying three
- 3:52Speaker 5: goaltenders for the entire season when they're going to draw
- 3:54Speaker 5: the line in the sand.
- 3:55Speaker 6: I don't know. But you're seeing a couple of goaltenders.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Who've stepped in while jo Court is out played some
- 4:01Speaker 5: great goal and it's not easy for me.
- 4:05Speaker 6: To say one is better than the other.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Day.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Both played fantastically. It's a good problem to have.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Crack at five three they take down on a peg.
- 4:12Speaker 4: We'll step out one more time, come back with more

- 6:26Speaker 3: Following a five three Kraken win.
- 6:28Speaker 4: To the locker room we go the kid Bertley Catton
- 6:32Speaker 4: joining us on the program, Berkeley, congrats on a big
- 6:35Speaker 4: five to three win for your group here tonight. I
- 6:37Speaker 4: know it's been offensively kind of a struggle the last
- 6:41Speaker 4: few games. You guys exploded here for five. Just take
- 6:44Speaker 4: us through your thoughts on this game from your view.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it was great.
- 6:48Speaker 13: I thought, uh, you know, we were going all night there,
- 6:51Speaker 13: and you know, we even got down there for a bed.
- 6:53Speaker 13: I think just the way we rallied back and stuck
- 6:55Speaker 13: in the game and even came back was awesome.
- 6:56Speaker 11: So I really excited to see that.
- 6:58Speaker 3: You know, last this year, you're first NHL season.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I have to imagine that sometimes it can be like
- 7:04Speaker 4: drinking straight from a fire hose. How have you been
- 7:06Speaker 4: feeling these last couple of weeks, now that you're getting
- 7:09Speaker 4: a regular shift here in the NHL.
- 7:11Speaker 13: Yeah, you know, I think to start, it's tough. It's
- 7:13Speaker 13: it's so fast. Everything comes out you so quick. In
- 7:15Speaker 13: those first couple of games, you're so excited and then
- 7:18Speaker 13: you kind of get settled in.
- 7:19Speaker 11: I think and you realize you kind of here.
- 7:21Speaker 13: So I think he's the last couple of starting to
- 7:22Speaker 13: feel a little bit better and you know, just trying
- 7:24Speaker 13: to keep building and grow my game.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Here Berkeley, ten different guys getting on the score sheet tonight,
- 7:29Speaker 5: Vince done with a goal and to assist. How important
- 7:32Speaker 5: is it to have your blue line contributing like that?
- 7:35Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean he's so good.
- 7:36Speaker 13: Our whole our whole decourse so good, and how they
- 7:38Speaker 13: move pucks and and you know, they keep us in
- 7:40Speaker 13: games all the time. So it's great to see that.
- 7:42Speaker 13: And you know, like you said before, it was great.
- 7:43Speaker 13: We kind of exploded your offensively. I think you know
- 7:45Speaker 13: it was gonna happen, and great happen tonight.
- 7:47Speaker 4: You know, you're you're not you're you're very outspoken about
- 7:50Speaker 4: Jordan Everley being one of your idols, one of the
- 7:52Speaker 4: guys that you watched growing up and wanting to model
- 7:55Speaker 4: your game.
- 7:56Speaker 3: After you're on a line with him, How.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Does it feel to play with one of the guys
- 8:01Speaker 4: that you grew up watching and wanting to emulate.
- 8:04Speaker 13: Yeah, you know, I think in the middle of the game,
- 8:06Speaker 13: you're so into it, it doesn't really seem too too
- 8:08Speaker 13: crazy that after the game you kind of relax and like.
- 8:10Speaker 6: That's that's cool.
- 8:11Speaker 13: But I think it's starting to get a little bit
- 8:12Speaker 13: more normal here as I play more games. But you know,
- 8:15Speaker 13: ultimately super cool to play with on your eye those
- 8:16Speaker 13: I think.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Berkeley, you started on the third line tonight in the middle.
- 8:19Speaker 5: It seemed like you moved around a little bit once
- 8:21Speaker 5: Coppocaco went out and obviously Mason marshmall went out for
- 8:24Speaker 5: a short period of time there. What was that like
- 8:26Speaker 5: down on the bench, not just yourself, but in general.
- 8:29Speaker 13: Yeah, I think just you know, as being a young
- 8:31Speaker 13: guy and in first couple of games, you gotta be
- 8:33Speaker 13: ready whenever. And whether that means wing center, I don't
- 8:35Speaker 13: really care. I just you know, want to help impact
- 8:37Speaker 13: the team and get on the ice. So you know,
- 8:38Speaker 13: I'm happy to go on ever and you know it's
- 8:40Speaker 13: great we you know, did that tonight.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I got one last one for you. I want to
- 8:43Speaker 4: have some fun with you here. What's been your welcome
- 8:46Speaker 4: to the NHL moment? If you had one of those
- 8:49Speaker 4: welcome to the NHL moments, And who's the one player
- 8:52Speaker 4: that you're most looking forward to playing against or or
- 8:55Speaker 4: sharing the ice with?
- 8:56Speaker 3: As you move along here this.
- 8:57Speaker 13: Season, yeah, I think just like, honestly, the travel was
- 9:01Speaker 13: like mind boggling.
- 9:02Speaker 11: To me, how much food there was.
- 9:03Speaker 13: Don't even know playing carry that much food and stuff
- 9:06Speaker 13: that far.
- 9:06Speaker 11: It's pretty cool.
- 9:07Speaker 13: And then, you know, I think just every night it
- 9:09Speaker 13: seems like there's someone that you've watched grown up. I mean,
- 9:11Speaker 13: I remember one of my first games playing, you know,
- 9:13Speaker 13: McDavid and kind of in a tussle and I look
- 9:15Speaker 13: who it was.
- 9:16Speaker 6: And it was it was McDavid.
- 9:17Speaker 11: So that's pretty cool.
- 9:18Speaker 13: Then obviously down the line here Crosby was one of
- 9:21Speaker 13: my favorites. Pretty basic answer, But you know, those two
- 9:24Speaker 13: guys are pretty cool.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Oh hey man, Berkeley, congrats on a great performance here tonight.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Congrats on continuing to find and grow your game, and
- 9:31Speaker 4: we look forward to talking to you down the road.
- 9:33Speaker 13: Sounds good, Thanks guys.
- 9:34Speaker 4: All right, Cracking forward Berkeley Catton following tonight's five three
- 9:38Speaker 4: win for the Seattle Cracking every player who you want
- 9:41Speaker 4: to play, it's, at least for the Canadians, it's Sidney Crosby.
- 9:44Speaker 4: If you're if you're a Canadian kid, sid the kid
- 9:47Speaker 4: is the one guy, especially because is this his last year,
- 9:50Speaker 4: does he have one more?
- 9:51Speaker 6: Who knows?
- 9:52Speaker 4: This very well could be the last time that you know,
- 9:55Speaker 4: you never know, right, I think he's gonna playuntill he'st fifty.
- 9:58Speaker 4: But you know again, let the just tell it. Sidney's
- 10:01Speaker 4: getting to the end of his rope here. But no,
- 10:03Speaker 4: I love hearing those answers. I do too, cracking five
- 10:06Speaker 4: three they take down Winnipeg. Al over to you.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Well, First of all, goaltending tonight was fantastic, absolutely a
- 10:12Speaker 5: key takeaway of mine. Yes, you know, Grubauer gave up three,
- 10:16Speaker 5: but there were three difficult goals here tonight, so he
- 10:19Speaker 5: was a highlight for me. As I mentioned to Berkeley
- 10:21Speaker 5: cat and their defense contributing tonight on all but one
- 10:24Speaker 5: of the goals, so that was fantastic. And then the
- 10:26Speaker 5: third one is the captain being the captain. Jordan Niberley,
- 10:29Speaker 5: you know, had a couple of goals, but he also
- 10:31Speaker 5: had a couple of block shots. And when you see
- 10:33Speaker 5: your captain throwing himself in front of sometimes miles an
- 10:36Speaker 5: hour pucks coming at you, it makes you want to
- 10:38Speaker 5: go out and do it. So I love to love
- 10:40Speaker 5: the captain being the captain tonight. Three stars Tonight brought
- 10:43Speaker 5: to you by Mamakay waiting by the by the radio.
- 10:47Speaker 5: Third start tonight goes to Philip Grubauer, stopping twenty three
- 10:51Speaker 5: of twenty six had an eight five save percentage. Don't
- 10:53Speaker 5: let that fool you. Those three goals were difficult. The
- 10:56Speaker 5: second star goes to Jordan Eiberley. As I mentioned two goals,
- 10:59Speaker 5: he was a plus two, hit two block shots as well.
- 11:02Speaker 5: And number one star goos to Vince Done. He had
- 11:04Speaker 5: a goal and two assists. He also had two block shots.
- 11:07Speaker 5: So great leadership by both those guys.
- 11:09Speaker 6: That'll do it.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Here for us from the booth five to three, crack
- 11:12Speaker 4: and take down Winnipeg. Back at it to wrap up

- 11:35Speaker 14: five goals against the Jets, no big deal losing Copocaco.
- 11:40Speaker 11: Well it means no problem.
- 11:42Speaker 14: Everyone pulling together and with that ten different players on
- 11:45Speaker 14: the score sheet. Ben's done three point game and Jordan
- 11:48Speaker 14: Eberley the captain, as you guys mentioned, two goals, two
- 11:51Speaker 14: block shots, earning the F one helmet from his teammates
- 11:54Speaker 14: in the dressing room at capping off a thriller this evening,

- 15:18Speaker 11: Well, a big question here for this game.
- 15:20Speaker 14: How would the Kraken respond after an offense that went
- 15:23Speaker 14: nearly dry against the Columbus Blue Jackets two nights ago
- 15:26Speaker 14: and facing a team that doesn't give up much defensively.
- 15:30Speaker 14: The answer, a resounding one, is a Kraken surviving the
- 15:33Speaker 14: loss of Compocaco with a two goal ninth by Jordan Eberley,
- 15:37Speaker 14: a three point game by Vin Stunn, and the Kraken
- 15:40Speaker 14: taking the season series already from Winnipeg two wins out
- 15:44Speaker 14: of two, one more game to go here in this
- 15:46Speaker 14: set as a Cracking knock off the Winnipeg Jets five
- 15:49Speaker 14: to three this evening at Climate Pledge Arena, Mike betting
- 15:52Speaker 14: again with you back across here at Tom's Watch Bar
- 15:55Speaker 14: as a Kraken improving to eight four and five twenty
- 15:59Speaker 14: one points on the campaign, Winnipeg fall into ten and seven,
- 16:03Speaker 14: getting through their fifth game of this lengthy six game
- 16:07Speaker 14: road trip. The Kracking now four to six and four
- 16:09Speaker 14: head to head against the Jets, earning just their second
- 16:12Speaker 14: win all time at home against Winnipeg and this head
- 16:15Speaker 14: to head series, it is for the Kraken their first
- 16:18Speaker 14: win here over the Jets since December eighteenth of twenty
- 16:22Speaker 14: twenty two, because they have won back to back games
- 16:24Speaker 14: here in this head to head series. And time now
- 16:27Speaker 14: for the highlights and this Seemo Kracking drive to the
- 16:29Speaker 14: next scoring recap is brought to you for the all
- 16:32Speaker 14: new Chevy tracks now bigger and Boulder tracks is a
- 16:35Speaker 14: perfect assist for all of life's adventures. The scoring warming
- 16:40Speaker 14: up at ten to seventeen a period one, Alex I
- 16:43Speaker 14: have follow going right toward the front of the net,
- 16:45Speaker 14: cashing in with this fourth goal of the season. Adam
- 16:47Speaker 14: Lowry and Dylan Demelo with the assist on the play
- 16:51Speaker 14: for the Kraken, responding at fifteen to fifteen a period one,
- 16:54Speaker 14: Compo Cocko along the way from a Jaden Schwartz shopping
- 16:58Speaker 14: the right wing, got a tip it at Shane Jangles
- 17:01Speaker 14: on Connor Hellibuck. That's key against goaltender who was so
- 17:04Speaker 14: polished as he is. Cocko's first goal of the season
- 17:08Speaker 14: from Schwartz and Ben's Dunn tied the game at one,
- 17:11Speaker 14: but soon after that the Kraken would lose Cocko for
- 17:14Speaker 14: the remainder of the game after he left the ice
- 17:16Speaker 14: shortly after a faceoff win and appeared to gingerly favor
- 17:21Speaker 14: his leg going.
- 17:22Speaker 11: Off the ice.
- 17:23Speaker 14: And at the second period, Mark Scheifeley scoring on a
- 17:26Speaker 14: breakaway on Philip grubauer ten goal of the season at
- 17:29Speaker 14: three eighteen a period two to make a two to
- 17:31Speaker 14: one Winnipeg. Neil Pionk had the assist on the play,
- 17:34Speaker 14: but the Cracking responding as Ben's Dunn found soft ice
- 17:38Speaker 14: right in front of Connor Hellibuck and lifted a shot
- 17:41Speaker 14: right over his glove. Third goal at seven to twenty
- 17:44Speaker 14: seven for Done his first since October eighteen, tied this
- 17:47Speaker 14: game in two. Ryan Winterton and Adam Larson with the
- 17:51Speaker 14: assist on the play. With the Cracking getting into penalty
- 17:54Speaker 14: issues late in period two, squandering a power play and
- 17:57Speaker 14: then Ben's Dunn off for hooking with Kyle Connor threatening
- 18:00Speaker 14: for a short handed break and then when the Jets
- 18:03Speaker 14: had the man advantage, they took advantage at eighteen fifty
- 18:06Speaker 14: Connors tenth of the season of a blast at the
- 18:08Speaker 14: right circle came courtesy Josh Morrissey and Shifeley to make
- 18:13Speaker 14: it three to two Winnipeg, and the Cracket had some
- 18:15Speaker 14: work to do with twenty minutes to go because they
- 18:18Speaker 14: also took a too many minut on the ice penalty,
- 18:20Speaker 14: spilling over into period number three.
- 18:24Speaker 11: They found their way out of it.
- 18:25Speaker 14: And then Nelly Tolbanan stepping up with a kraken going
- 18:29Speaker 14: right back toward the man advantage right here.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Now it's Tolvanant back to the point. Bit's done straight.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Away, tolban It suits stood.
- 18:44Speaker 18: Elly Tolbanan with a rocket from the right side. It's
- 18:48Speaker 18: a power play goal. Fifteen to forty nine to play.
- 18:52Speaker 3: In the third, we're tied three much.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Look the same goal Ellie's Hooven scored the other day.
- 18:57Speaker 5: It's fun a power play top of the circles, moving
- 19:00Speaker 5: the puck around the perimeter, but it gets back to
- 19:02Speaker 5: Vincedunn at the point he sends it down to Tolbenen
- 19:04Speaker 5: on that right circle. He puts everything into it, beating
- 19:08Speaker 5: hillibuck quacker side down low.
- 19:09Speaker 6: This keeps tight.
- 19:10Speaker 14: Agree for eleven the time of the goal. Boy, did
- 19:13Speaker 14: special teams really steer the engine and the wheel here
- 19:16Speaker 14: this evening as Tolbynen got his second of the season
- 19:19Speaker 14: from Vince Dunn and Chandler Stevenson, and the more and
- 19:22Speaker 14: more the Kraken can find passes in the Tolbnin's wheelhouse
- 19:25Speaker 14: at that spot from the right circle, He's got a
- 19:28Speaker 14: big shot to let it fly and it paid off
- 19:30Speaker 14: in a big way to give the Kraken a three
- 19:33Speaker 14: to three tie at four to eleven into period three,
- 19:36Speaker 14: coming off the Nino Nina rider holding penalty as well.
- 19:40Speaker 14: Then past seven minute mark, Matty Veniers is lin stepping
- 19:43Speaker 14: right onto the ice and stepping into a big moment.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Matty Veneers back to Marshman in the circle. What's a
- 19:51Speaker 4: hip check? Get the the best of.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Cob down Maddy Baniers top of the right circle.
- 20:05Speaker 18: He fights every down, low tick tack goal that captain.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Let's the cracking on top by a four to three scar.
- 20:12Speaker 5: Well, this one starts with a Mason Marshman down that
- 20:14Speaker 5: right side. He turns his body to protect the puck,
- 20:17Speaker 5: gets it back to Matty Veneers. As Jordan Nibley is
- 20:20Speaker 5: swinging around the back.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Side of the dead we had a great angle for him.
- 20:24Speaker 5: From up here you can see Maddy waiting for Jordan
- 20:26Speaker 5: Nibley to get into position.
- 20:28Speaker 6: As soon as he was.
- 20:29Speaker 5: There, boom on a stick, tap of the dead four
- 20:31Speaker 5: three cracking.
- 20:32Speaker 11: To call that goal of work of art does not
- 20:35Speaker 11: do it justice.
- 20:36Speaker 14: Seven twenty one the time of the goal of period three,
- 20:39Speaker 14: first of a game, with Mason Marshman using his big
- 20:41Speaker 14: six foot five rain two protect the puck. Then it
- 20:44Speaker 14: was Wiring a pass right back to Matty Beniers, who
- 20:47Speaker 14: then threwd a one right onto the tape of Jordan Everley.
- 20:50Speaker 14: It brought the fans out of their seats and gave
- 20:53Speaker 14: the Cracket a four to three lead at seven to
- 20:55Speaker 14: twenty one period three, again every sixth coming courtesy Maddy
- 20:59Speaker 14: Baniers and Mason Marchmoth. The Kraken would love to see
- 21:03Speaker 14: more results like that, especially out of a trio they
- 21:06Speaker 14: put on the ice for a big moment. In that situation,
- 21:09Speaker 14: Winnipeg then pulling Connor Hellibuck the will pass, the eight
- 21:12Speaker 14: team in the mark and the Kraken looking to put
- 21:14Speaker 14: this game away. It came courtesy Jordan Everly his seventh
- 21:18Speaker 14: goal of the season in eighteen twenty five, with Matty
- 21:21Speaker 14: Benier's picking up the assist on the play as well,
- 21:24Speaker 14: and that finishing off Winnipeg Tonight five three the final
- 21:27Speaker 14: for the Kraken. They have won two games so far
- 21:30Speaker 14: in two tries against Winnipeg, one more game to go
- 21:33Speaker 14: in the season series of Crack and have already taken
- 21:36Speaker 14: that season series as well. As Vince done a three
- 21:39Speaker 14: point night that is his seventh career three point out
- 21:41Speaker 14: in here with the Krack and tying Jayden Schwartz for
- 21:44Speaker 14: the most enfranchise history and for the Crack. In the
- 21:47Speaker 14: final shots on NET twenty six eighteen in favor of
- 21:50Speaker 14: Winnipeg power plays wise, the Jets go one to three.
- 21:53Speaker 14: The Kraken also even in things up at a one
- 21:57Speaker 14: for three effort as a win and Net going.
- 21:59Speaker 11: To Philip Grubauer.
- 22:01Speaker 14: That was big for him, turning in twenty three saves
- 22:04Speaker 14: on twenty six shots. He has won in back to
- 22:07Speaker 14: back appearances the Las Annett to Connor Hellabuck, who was
- 22:11Speaker 14: a little bit less than one hundred percent razors shirp
- 22:13Speaker 14: this evening the Krack and they would take advantage of that,
- 22:15Speaker 14: and he gave up four goals on seventeen shots here
- 22:18Speaker 14: for tonight the Krack and also overcoming three separate deficits
- 22:23Speaker 14: before again pulling ahead in period three, Jordan Everley again
- 22:27Speaker 14: scoring the game winning goal to overtake Jared McCann for
- 22:30Speaker 14: the most by the way in Cracking history as a
- 22:33Speaker 14: Crack and overcoming the second intermission deficit in a five
- 22:36Speaker 14: to three win over Winnipeg. Time now for the cors
- 22:40Speaker 14: Light chillis moments of the game. Cracking fans, You can

- 22:58Speaker 14: scored a pretty important game opening goal. Flashback to period
- 23:01Speaker 14: one and how could the Kraken punch right back.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Seattle forcing a turnover the offensive end. Here is Bit's
- 23:09Speaker 4: done with the near side.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Schwartz shoots stop.
- 23:19Speaker 18: Tane, Schwartz fright circle toward the goal. Cocko Cocko got
- 23:25Speaker 18: a piece of it all the way through and the
- 23:27Speaker 18: Seattle cracket tie the game one one four forty.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Five left at period number one.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Well, Channis duds and the bitch does doing a nice
- 23:36Speaker 5: little criss cross the blue line, Dune picks up that buck,
- 23:40Speaker 5: slides it down to Schwartz. Shorts does what we've been
- 23:42Speaker 5: talking about, puts one hard on that Coco. Coco's up front,
- 23:46Speaker 5: get the piece of it. This game is tight at one.
- 23:49Speaker 14: You got an indication at that point of how the
- 23:51Speaker 14: Cracket would need to attack Connor Hellibuck in the Winnipeg
- 23:54Speaker 14: defense and get the Jets goaltender to move Shane Jengles.
- 23:57Speaker 14: And that worked two perfection, tying the and that restoring
- 24:01Speaker 14: balance for the Krack, and by the end of period
- 24:04Speaker 14: one is Compo Coco getting his first goal of the season. Unfortunately,
- 24:08Speaker 14: his return to the lineup here a bit short lived.
- 24:11Speaker 14: As far as the early going, we found out Coco
- 24:13Speaker 14: left the game would not return to it due to
- 24:15Speaker 14: a lower body injury. Timetable is yet uncertain, and certainly
- 24:19Speaker 14: Coco hoping that he's gonna be okay, but Compocaco a
- 24:22Speaker 14: big goal to get on the board with a redirection
- 24:25Speaker 14: to make it a one.
- 24:25Speaker 11: To one tie at that point.
- 24:27Speaker 14: Then we go right toward the end of this with
- 24:30Speaker 14: a Kraken looking to apply kill the instinct.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Four three Seattle extra attacker aren't for win A Beck
- 24:37Speaker 4: ryan lingrit they'll push it up the boards, win a.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Bec not a little hold thelide, not even.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Ears near side captain box in sto.
- 24:54Speaker 18: Back to Beck goals for the captain.
- 24:56Speaker 1: He's got two.
- 24:58Speaker 18: The track ind ahead by to five three, one thirty
- 25:02Speaker 18: five left in Seattle.
- 25:05Speaker 5: One of the ways to Cracker we're gonna have to
- 25:06Speaker 5: win this game was puck battles.
- 25:07Speaker 6: At that time there not even.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Ears with a puck battle win along the Bard pokes
- 25:11Speaker 5: it forward, finds deffinitely over the far side of the
- 25:14Speaker 5: ice all by himself, emptied it goal for seven. Second
- 25:18Speaker 5: at goal for seven is sint to bimat Engineers five three.
- 25:22Speaker 14: Cracket O Jordan Eberley certainly finds the right time to
- 25:25Speaker 14: pick up big multi goal games. That, by the way,
- 25:28Speaker 14: his second of this regular season. Previously, he did this
- 25:32Speaker 14: October twenty fifth against the Edmonton Oilers in the night.
- 25:35Speaker 14: It comes here in a big way, paying off in
- 25:38Speaker 14: a five to three win for the Kraken over the
- 25:41Speaker 14: Winnipeg Jets at Climate Plage Arena. Time now for the
- 25:44Speaker 14: big win that's brought to you by the Evergreen Council

- 25:55Speaker 14: milestone late in the game.

- 26:00Speaker 19: away back handle Loostorena. Luis Storena looks long toward the
- 26:04Speaker 19: empty net. He scores at to Louistena from long range
- 26:07Speaker 19: the empty netter and that's one thousand points for Brad Marshan,
- 26:11Speaker 19: who picks up the primary.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Assist on the goal.
- 26:14Speaker 19: The Panthers take a six to three lead with ninety
- 26:17Speaker 19: seconds to play and Mark Shan's teammates onto the ice
- 26:20Speaker 19: to celebrate at center ice.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Amazing. Brad mar Shan gets it done. One thousand points.
- 26:27Speaker 1: What a milestone.
- 26:29Speaker 14: Doug Plagan's at the play by play call on the
- 26:31Speaker 14: Florida Panthers radio side with Brad Marshan hitting the one
- 26:35Speaker 14: thousand point mark. He had two assists this evening, and
- 26:38Speaker 14: the second one you just heard help put Florida over
- 26:41Speaker 14: the top to cap off a six to three win
- 26:43Speaker 14: over the Washington Capitals. Mars Shan had the one hundred
- 26:46Speaker 14: and second player in NHL history to reach the milestone.

- 40:50Speaker 5: But as much as my cheese curds get rolled up

- 41:14Speaker 14: Yeah, have you on the prime rib for me too,
- 41:16Speaker 14: So the hummus platter veggies.
- 41:18Speaker 11: I'm trying to catch up to you here.
- 41:20Speaker 6: There you go, there you go.
- 41:21Speaker 11: Let me things all balance here, don't they.
- 41:24Speaker 6: That's the secret balance.
- 41:26Speaker 11: And yawn balance here so the crack can find their balance.
- 41:29Speaker 11: By the way.
- 41:29Speaker 14: Five three over Winnipeg, Jordan Everley is going to be
- 41:32Speaker 14: speaking here and.
- 41:33Speaker 11: Just a bit meeting with the media.
- 41:35Speaker 14: But let's just jump into it right now, we have
- 41:37Speaker 14: a ton to get to And I first think how
- 41:40Speaker 14: badly the Krack had needed a win like this, not
- 41:43Speaker 14: just for the fact that they came off a loss
- 41:47Speaker 14: against Columbus in a shootout where the offense went dry,
- 41:51Speaker 14: and we've been talking about this, and I thought something
- 41:53Speaker 14: great John Forsln said, now is not the time to
- 41:57Speaker 14: freak out about this offense.
- 42:00Speaker 11: And you come in and face Winnipeg and you think,
- 42:02Speaker 11: how are.
- 42:02Speaker 14: You gonna get through this with their defense and how
- 42:04Speaker 14: they can block shots and Connor Hellibuck and everything here. Well,
- 42:07Speaker 14: for a game of the Crack and maybe didn't play
- 42:09Speaker 14: at their best, they were productive and that is such
- 42:13Speaker 14: a promising sign.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Well, they were productive, and I think that you know,
- 42:16Speaker 5: John's right that this team is a defense first team structure,
- 42:20Speaker 5: and you know, the Columbus Blue Jackets came in here
- 42:23Speaker 5: played well that your Cracking were not able to pull
- 42:26Speaker 5: out a win. And then the Blue Blue Jackets go
- 42:28Speaker 5: up to Edmonton and beat Edmonton tonight. So this Blue
- 42:30Speaker 5: Jackets team is playing really well right now. But they
- 42:33Speaker 5: definitely needed a bounce back game, and they needed a
- 42:35Speaker 5: bounce back game, not just a win, not just a win,
- 42:37Speaker 5: but a statement win. And you know, another win, the
- 42:41Speaker 5: second in a row against Winnipeg better than the first one,
- 42:45Speaker 5: I would say. You know that the team saw some
- 42:48Speaker 5: adversity throughout the game, with Kappolcocko going out, Mason Marchman
- 42:51Speaker 5: going out for a period of time, and then they
- 42:53Speaker 5: battled through it and came out on top.
- 42:55Speaker 6: So big, huge win for the guys.
- 42:57Speaker 14: Took four nine four five one Texas. Right now on
- 42:59Speaker 14: the cage text line, who you think your player of
- 43:02Speaker 14: the game was here from the seatum. We'll get to
- 43:04Speaker 14: your responses to your reaction as well, but four nine,
- 43:06Speaker 14: four or five one I want to hear from you now,
- 43:09Speaker 14: who you think your player of the game was from
- 43:11Speaker 14: the five to three crack and win over the Winnipeg Jets.
- 43:14Speaker 14: All start and there are a few responses here that
- 43:16Speaker 14: also echo this. Maddy Benier's when the Chips were down
- 43:20Speaker 14: high leverage, his line was terrific and that eventual game
- 43:24Speaker 14: winning goal if you can get that consistently, oh my,
- 43:27Speaker 14: you're cooking.
- 43:28Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, you know. He drew a penalty tonight put
- 43:30Speaker 5: his team on the power play. I think that was
- 43:32Speaker 5: the power play that ended up being a goal as well,
- 43:34Speaker 5: so drew penalty there. He you know, he had a
- 43:37Speaker 5: couple of helpers on the Jordan Eberley goal. He came
- 43:39Speaker 5: into the game leading the team with seven primary assists.
- 43:44Speaker 5: He leaves the game in the lead with nine primary assists.
- 43:47Speaker 5: So he continues to be the playmaker out there, but
- 43:50Speaker 5: he's earning every inch of ice he gets out there.
- 43:52Speaker 5: You see it in his in his tenacity, in his stride.
- 43:56Speaker 5: He's playing his best hockey right now.
- 43:57Speaker 11: See.
- 43:57Speaker 14: I think for me it was how the play was
- 44:00Speaker 14: generated because Mason Marshman has been struggling to find offense
- 44:05Speaker 14: ever since opening night against Anaheim. But he uses his
- 44:08Speaker 14: big six foot five frame yep to protect the puck
- 44:11Speaker 14: and then with confidence and assertiveness, goes tape to tape
- 44:15Speaker 14: right to Maddie and there's no hesitation finding everly pop
- 44:19Speaker 14: back door.
- 44:20Speaker 5: Well, we had a great view from it up top
- 44:22Speaker 5: there at the press bridge too, because we're on that
- 44:24Speaker 5: side of the ice, and you know, Maddy Banier is
- 44:26Speaker 5: getting that feed from Mason Marshman, and you're right, he
- 44:28Speaker 5: used his body to protect the puck, which is what
- 44:31Speaker 5: big guys have to do. You saw Maddie way to
- 44:34Speaker 5: beat and the reason he waited a beat is he
- 44:36Speaker 5: could see Everley coming around the backside of the net,
- 44:39Speaker 5: and so he has to buy time. How do you
- 44:40Speaker 5: buy time, You've got to obviously it's a game of keepaway.
- 44:44Speaker 6: So he waits a beat.
- 44:45Speaker 5: He sees Everley peel around the back of the net
- 44:47Speaker 5: and then it's tape to tape in an easy redirect
- 44:49Speaker 5: into the net.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Just an elite goal there from Everly, an.
- 44:52Speaker 11: Elite pass with the lineup switch.
- 44:53Speaker 14: That was one of our top story lines of saving
- 44:56Speaker 14: How would Benier's centering marchmen and every react? First time
- 45:00Speaker 14: they had played together here for this season, and they
- 45:03Speaker 14: looked terrific this sevening, especially in those high leverage spots.
- 45:07Speaker 14: Again five three crack and win over the Winnipeg Jets. Coppocaco,
- 45:11Speaker 14: Vince Dune, Ellie Toulvenan, and Jordan Eberley with two goals
- 45:15Speaker 14: here for the seaton. Before we get to Everly's comments here,
- 45:18Speaker 14: Vince done three assists. Philip Grubauer good enough of the win.
- 45:21Speaker 14: We what do we make out of them?
- 45:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean Vince Dunn had a fantastic game, three
- 45:26Speaker 5: point night. He had two block shots as well. Playing
- 45:30Speaker 5: a physical game, you know, I talked in the post
- 45:33Speaker 5: game a little about Jordan Eberly's leadership tonight and that
- 45:35Speaker 5: he had two block shots as well. Obviously the two goals,
- 45:38Speaker 5: but Vince done same, same, same sentence, being a leader
- 45:42Speaker 5: out there, showing the younger guys that you've got to be,
- 45:45Speaker 5: you know, sacrifice your body to stop pucks from getting
- 45:47Speaker 5: to the net, and both of them with a couple
- 45:49Speaker 5: of block shots night, I think just as valuable as
- 45:51Speaker 5: as putting bucks in the.
- 45:52Speaker 14: Net, cracking go one for three on the power play,
- 45:55Speaker 14: even in things up where it seemed as that the
- 45:57Speaker 14: special teams game was getting away from then Winnipeg going
- 46:01Speaker 14: one of three, and you talk about a potential turning
- 46:04Speaker 14: point here the krackon could have seen in this game
- 46:06Speaker 14: fall away early in period three, but a big penalty
- 46:09Speaker 14: kill then turning into a big ellet Tolbnen power play
- 46:13Speaker 14: goal here for this seed, I mean that tied the game,
- 46:15Speaker 14: setting up Everly's eventual game winner. Speaking of Everly here,
- 46:18Speaker 14: he is right back downstairs at clim the Pledge Arena,
- 46:22Speaker 14: meeting with the media right now.
- 46:25Speaker 28: I think we're a little bit over half a half
- 46:28Speaker 28: a month Sterome, Jordan.
- 46:35Speaker 29: You know, how good Connor Hallibut can be and that
- 46:38Speaker 29: team can be across the way to get to get
- 46:39Speaker 29: four goals against him, find a way to get a
- 46:42Speaker 29: win against him. How big is this one for you
- 46:44Speaker 29: guys today? Yeah, I mean there, every game is big.
- 46:47Speaker 29: I think obviously it's a good team over there. You know,
- 46:49Speaker 29: we've been kind of fighting it to put the puck
- 46:51Speaker 29: in it a little bit, so I mean to get
- 46:53Speaker 29: some bit of a you know, some offense that's obviously massive.
- 46:56Speaker 28: So group's playing great. Thought special teams came up clutch
- 47:01Speaker 28: when they needed to. I thought we played for the
- 47:04Speaker 28: most part pretty good hockey, so which we have and
- 47:07Speaker 28: we just haven't you been putting the buck in the net.
- 47:09Speaker 28: So it's uh, you know, hopefully we can get some
- 47:11Speaker 28: confience here and keep going.
- 47:12Speaker 6: You mentioned the special teams there.
- 47:14Speaker 29: You had the one power play didn't go your way,
- 47:15Speaker 29: they get the break the other chance to come back
- 47:17Speaker 29: as your guys's unit there and have Ellie put one in.
- 47:20Speaker 29: And how how critical was that for you guys to
- 47:22Speaker 29: find one on the advantage?
- 47:23Speaker 6: That was massive?
- 47:24Speaker 28: I think we had two before that we didn't really
- 47:25Speaker 28: generate much and then they got one on the power play.
- 47:27Speaker 28: I think the special team is obviously massive. So we
- 47:29Speaker 28: get to kill at the start of the third there,
- 47:31Speaker 28: which was huge, and then obviously score and tied up
- 47:34Speaker 28: on the other one. So those are those are big moments.
- 47:38Speaker 6: Obviously a lot of emotion out there. But what can
- 47:40Speaker 6: you say about Maddy get finding you in the back
- 47:42Speaker 6: door there?
- 47:42Speaker 28: Yeah, he did a great, great play, you know, March
- 47:45Speaker 28: he made a great play to to find him. I think, yeah,
- 47:49Speaker 28: he's he had a great game. He was skating, he
- 47:51Speaker 28: was physically doing battles. I think, you know, Matty's uh,
- 47:54Speaker 28: I love playing with him. He's an lead player.
- 47:56Speaker 30: What does it say about I mean, it's been a hard,
- 47:58Speaker 30: hard stretch here for finding goals obviously, what's to say
- 48:01Speaker 30: about your team and confidence and all that being able
- 48:03Speaker 30: to find the way that the win to way the
- 48:05Speaker 30: way that you did tonight.
- 48:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I.
- 48:07Speaker 28: Think for us, you know, see, defense is going to
- 48:09Speaker 28: be the backbone of this club. For me, that's how
- 48:11Speaker 28: we're gonna win hockey games. But you got to try
- 48:13Speaker 28: and create offense out of that. So we've you know,
- 48:15Speaker 28: I don't think it's been for a lock of chances.
- 48:16Speaker 28: I look at you know, the sing leist game in
- 48:18Speaker 28: the Dallas Game Clubs game. If we've had our looks,
- 48:20Speaker 28: we just haven't you know, finished. So I think obviously
- 48:23Speaker 28: you see the puck go in. It just gives you
- 48:24Speaker 28: a confidence and gives guys confidence and hopefully that just
- 48:27Speaker 28: continues to build.
- 48:28Speaker 29: What kind of play is that for Maddy to read
- 48:30Speaker 29: you spinning around to the back post there and finding
- 48:32Speaker 29: you at that point.
- 48:33Speaker 28: Yeah, I mean it's just said an elite player. It's
- 48:36Speaker 28: just a second overall pick player play than.
- 48:42Speaker 14: As Jordan Eberley, who are in the F one helmet
- 48:45Speaker 14: in the dressing room, two goal night, two block shots
- 48:47Speaker 14: as well. That's captain doing captain things right there. Mike
- 48:50Speaker 14: Benton Alkoniwski right back at Tom's watch Bark crack and
- 48:53Speaker 14: knock out the Jets five to three. But the kje
- 48:55Speaker 14: air text line we go three one four, chiming in, say,
- 48:59Speaker 14: Maddy had a great game and Mark Scheiffley gave him
- 49:01Speaker 14: a nice little elbow face rub in the first period,
- 49:04Speaker 14: so it was great to see him respond and say
- 49:07Speaker 14: I'm the next way Mark Depp in the three one four.
- 49:10Speaker 5: Yeah, not only that too, but you know, talking about
- 49:12Speaker 5: Shiffley midway through the game. He was eighty percent in
- 49:15Speaker 5: a draw going against Chandler Stevenson, and as the game
- 49:18Speaker 5: wore on, it started to equalize them a little bit.
- 49:20Speaker 5: And I don't think that Chandler Stevenson was ever ahead,
- 49:23Speaker 5: but it wasn't that lot lopsided, which tells me Chandler
- 49:26Speaker 5: Stevenson spent the second half of the game trying to
- 49:28Speaker 5: figure out Mark Shifley and trying to figure out how
- 49:31Speaker 5: to win against him with the draw, and that was
- 49:34Speaker 5: fantastic to see. That's all part of that grind mentality
- 49:37Speaker 5: that this team uses to overcome other teams.
- 49:39Speaker 14: Two o six saying Philip Grewbauer Player of the Game.
- 49:42Speaker 14: Another two oh six numbers saying Philip grew Bauer Player
- 49:45Speaker 14: of the Game. This is an interesting goaltending picture now
- 49:48Speaker 14: because Joey de korbay the words.
- 49:50Speaker 11: Of Lane Lambert day to day. But we've seen him
- 49:53Speaker 11: back on ice.
- 49:54Speaker 14: There is progress for him, which potentially means a return
- 49:58Speaker 14: is coming soon. Matt mur he has look phenomenal this
- 50:01Speaker 14: season so far. So where are we at right now
- 50:04Speaker 14: with this goaltending picture.
- 50:05Speaker 5: I don't want to be the person that makes that decision,
- 50:06Speaker 5: but I do not think this team's going to carry
- 50:08Speaker 5: three goals all all season long. When they decide to
- 50:11Speaker 5: make a change is anybody's guess. But right now you've
- 50:15Speaker 5: got a number one enjoyed accord that's coming off of
- 50:18Speaker 5: an injury, but you've got two number two. It's not
- 50:21Speaker 5: clear who is the better goaltender. Matt Murray has played
- 50:24Speaker 5: well in the two games he has played, and he
- 50:25Speaker 5: saw Philip Grubauer play well here tonight. He hadn't need
- 50:28Speaker 5: six to five save percentage, but the three goals that
- 50:31Speaker 5: were scored on him, that back door tap in the
- 50:34Speaker 5: first one, the breakaway, the power play goal. Everett and
- 50:37Speaker 5: I talked about this a little bit, and maybe you
- 50:39Speaker 5: give him that tapping goal on the backside.
- 50:42Speaker 6: That's a hard one to stop.
- 50:43Speaker 5: But if he stops from one of those other two,
- 50:45Speaker 5: now he's probably an elite number one goaltender for you.
- 50:48Speaker 5: So right on the edge there of even challenging a
- 50:51Speaker 5: number one spot. But you got a tough decision to
- 50:54Speaker 5: make if you're going to get down to two goaltenders.
- 50:57Speaker 14: And this is a tough decision, but a welcomed toughest
- 51:00Speaker 14: decision for Lane Lambert because I go back and think
- 51:03Speaker 14: of the comments from GM Jason botterol back in this
- 51:05Speaker 14: summer with regards to this goaltending picture competition, this is
- 51:11Speaker 14: what you want to try to elevate each other's game
- 51:14Speaker 14: so that tough decision when it comes. You want to
- 51:18Speaker 14: see each goalie try to make each other the best
- 51:21Speaker 14: that they can be here.
- 51:22Speaker 5: And I think that's what's happening. And you know, both
- 51:24Speaker 5: of them recognize that there's an opportunity. While Joey de
- 51:27Speaker 5: Court is out to solidify a number one spot first
- 51:31Speaker 5: of all, while he's out, we don't know how long
- 51:32Speaker 5: that is, but he's starting to practice with the team again.
- 51:35Speaker 5: But number two when he comes back, to solidify that
- 51:39Speaker 5: number two spot as well.
- 51:40Speaker 6: And you know, when one.
- 51:42Speaker 5: Goaltender goes in, especially for back to back games or
- 51:44Speaker 5: for two games in a row, and plays well, that
- 51:47Speaker 5: puts pressure on the other guy. And in this case,
- 51:50Speaker 5: the other guy is Philip Grubauer and he responded well tonight.
- 51:53Speaker 14: Back to back wins now for Grubauer as a crack
- 51:55Speaker 14: of knockoff. The Winnipeg Jets five three will take a
- 51:58Speaker 14: break after this more reaction. Al myself and you were
- 52:02Speaker 14: live at Tom's watch Bar right across from Klinda Pledge Arena.
- 52:05Speaker 14: This is Talking Kraken on ninety three to three kJ RFM.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Now back to Ducking Kracking with Mike Bnton on your
- 52:14Speaker 2: Home of a Kracking Sports Radio Letty three point three.
- 52:18Speaker 6: kJ r FM.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Seattle forcing a turnover the offensive end. Here is Fitch
- 52:24Speaker 4: done an here size Swartz.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Shots stop.
- 52:34Speaker 18: Taine Schwartz fright circle toward the goal. Copocacko got a
- 52:40Speaker 18: piece of it all the way through and the Seattle
- 52:43Speaker 18: Cracket tie the game one one four forty five left
- 52:48Speaker 18: it period number one.
- 52:50Speaker 14: That's the kind of goal you're looking for on a
- 52:52Speaker 14: consistent basis out of the Kraken screens, deflections, meat and
- 52:55Speaker 14: potatoes type of stuff, and they get it out of
- 52:57Speaker 14: Copo Coaco unfortunately leaving the game lower body injury. Did
- 53:01Speaker 14: not return after leaving in period one with a Kraken
- 53:05Speaker 14: surviving it five through their win over the Winnipeg Jets.
- 53:07Speaker 14: Mike Benton Alkiniski with you back across over at Tom's
- 53:11Speaker 14: watch bar from Climb and Plage arena al before we
- 53:14Speaker 14: get to Lane Lambert, what do we make out of
- 53:16Speaker 14: Coppocco and how the Cracker responded and the difference in
- 53:20Speaker 14: how Lane Lambert shuffle lines here for this evening.
- 53:22Speaker 5: Yeah, it becomes a bit of a coaching challenge there
- 53:24Speaker 5: when you have a guy go out where, especially early
- 53:26Speaker 5: in the game. You know, it's one thing when there's
- 53:28Speaker 5: ten minutes left in the game, but early in the game,
- 53:30Speaker 5: you you've set these lines, You've talked to these guys
- 53:33Speaker 5: about who they're playing with, but now they have to
- 53:35Speaker 5: make an adjustment. And I fir, I firmly believe that
- 53:38Speaker 5: the man, the too many men penalty that they took
- 53:41Speaker 5: was a result of Coppocco going out of the lineup
- 53:43Speaker 5: all of a sudden. You're having to make adjustments on
- 53:45Speaker 5: the fly. Okay, Mike, You're now playing with al at
- 53:47Speaker 5: fits like who do you got?
- 53:49Speaker 6: Who do I got?
- 53:50Speaker 5: And there was just a miscommunication there on the bench
- 53:52Speaker 5: that resulted, I think in that in that too many
- 53:55Speaker 5: men penalty.
- 53:56Speaker 14: Ty, Kurt sha Berkeley Cat and Shane Wright five on
- 53:58Speaker 14: five shot attempts four one, they had that edge. I mean,
- 54:01Speaker 14: I know that Canton was in the mix all over
- 54:04Speaker 14: the place, but you had some compliments for him. What
- 54:06Speaker 14: were you reminded of for his game that's taken steps
- 54:09Speaker 14: here this evening?
- 54:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, we talked about that a little bit
- 54:11Speaker 5: that you know, he came into the game tonight playing
- 54:14Speaker 5: third line center. And when you lose a winger like that,
- 54:17Speaker 5: for a guy like him like that that's played wing
- 54:19Speaker 5: as well with this kracking team, he now becomes a
- 54:22Speaker 5: better utility player because you've lost a winger, so you
- 54:25Speaker 5: can slide him from the middle over to the wing
- 54:28Speaker 5: and back. And I think he did there over the
- 54:30Speaker 5: course of the rest of the game. Sometimes he was
- 54:32Speaker 5: out playing the middle and sometimes he was out playing
- 54:34Speaker 5: the wing.
- 54:34Speaker 11: All right, Head coach Lane Lambert meeting with the media.
- 54:36Speaker 14: Right now, let's check in back downstairs with the Matt
- 54:39Speaker 14: climbing Pledgerina.
- 54:41Speaker 6: Good evening, coach, congratulations on a win. So Vince Dunn
- 54:45Speaker 6: mentioned this was a character win.
- 54:47Speaker 21: How would you characterize this win tonight? I would agree
- 54:50Speaker 21: with him.
- 54:51Speaker 31: You know, we down a goal going into the third,
- 54:55Speaker 31: big important penalty kill that we had to have, and
- 54:59Speaker 31: we got it and then we uh we scored in
- 55:01Speaker 31: the power play, and you know, it's a big, uh.
- 55:05Speaker 21: Big win, a lot of character.
- 55:07Speaker 31: And I you know, I don't think we ever doubted
- 55:10Speaker 31: that we were coming back in that game.
- 55:15Speaker 30: Coach, how do you how do you react when you
- 55:18Speaker 30: see Capo Kaka, who has had a hard time kind
- 55:20Speaker 30: of getting going offensively since his first injury, he scores
- 55:24Speaker 30: a goal and then plays eighteen more seconds gets hurt again.
- 55:26Speaker 21: I mean, how do you react to seeing that happen?
- 55:28Speaker 31: Well, I mean I feel bad for him. You know,
- 55:32Speaker 31: he is a It was a beautiful goal he scored,
- 55:36Speaker 31: you know, and we need him, so uh, you know,
- 55:40Speaker 31: not a great thing. And and certainly you know it
- 55:42Speaker 31: put it also put others. We were down a forward
- 55:46Speaker 31: and then Marchman went off on concussion protocols, so we
- 55:49Speaker 31: were down two forwards for a period of time. And
- 55:51Speaker 31: I thought our our team rose to the occasion. And
- 55:55Speaker 31: and you know, it was a full effort for everyone.
- 55:57Speaker 31: We needed everyone, and we got everyone. But disappointed for
- 56:03Speaker 31: Cocko and you know, hopefully you know, he's not too long.
- 56:10Speaker 6: Lane.
- 56:10Speaker 32: I'm having trouble figuring your team out. You uh, well,
- 56:17Speaker 32: the coverage wasn't good on the first Jets goal, the
- 56:20Speaker 32: line change wasn't good on the second Jets goal. There's
- 56:24Speaker 32: a shorthanded breakaway that led to a power play in
- 56:27Speaker 32: the third Jets goal. And yet despite all of that,
- 56:31Speaker 32: the team also shows the resilience to not only overcome
- 56:36Speaker 32: a good Jets team but yourselves.
- 56:39Speaker 21: So please explain, Well.
- 56:42Speaker 31: You're not wrong on the three instances that you mentioned,
- 56:46Speaker 31: and those you know, the too many men on the
- 56:48Speaker 31: ice can happen.
- 56:51Speaker 21: You know, even the shifely breakaway goal.
- 56:54Speaker 31: You know, we've got to we've got to manage that
- 56:56Speaker 31: situation better and get the puck deep.
- 56:58Speaker 21: We know that.
- 57:00Speaker 31: I felt like the mistakes we made tonight we're costly,
- 57:06Speaker 31: but we found a way to get back into the
- 57:08Speaker 31: hockey game. So you're not wrong. There's some mistakes there
- 57:11Speaker 31: that we can't make.
- 57:12Speaker 32: But how about the fact that the resilience part of
- 57:15Speaker 32: it to to not let.
- 57:18Speaker 31: That well, we were playing well other than those. Other
- 57:22Speaker 31: than those situations, I felt like we were playing well.
- 57:25Speaker 31: I thought we had our energy. I thought our compete
- 57:27Speaker 31: level was high. Against a very good hockey team. You know,
- 57:29Speaker 31: they've got a big group of forwards over there. We
- 57:32Speaker 31: battled hard and so we were playing well. We were
- 57:34Speaker 31: just shooting ourselves in the foot, and you know, there
- 57:37Speaker 31: was never a doubt that if we stopped doing that,
- 57:41Speaker 31: and we have to stop doing that as we go along.
- 57:43Speaker 31: We got to learn from these things that we could
- 57:45Speaker 31: come back in the game.
- 57:48Speaker 14: That's the reaction from crackinghead coach Lane Lambert again as
- 57:51Speaker 14: a crack of knock off the Jets five three and
- 57:53Speaker 14: they break it. Pretty impressive run against a pretty impressive team.
- 57:56Speaker 14: Winnipeg was seven and zero this year when leading after
- 58:00Speaker 14: two periods, a play of the crack and getting their
- 58:02Speaker 14: first win when trailing after two periods here.
- 58:04Speaker 6: For the season.
- 58:05Speaker 5: Listen, Mikey, hockey is a game of mistakes, and you
- 58:08Speaker 5: just heard Glenn outline three of them there in that game,
- 58:11Speaker 5: and you're obviously trying to make as few as possible.
- 58:13Speaker 5: But I think Lane Lambert's also right. The rest of
- 58:16Speaker 5: the game, the team played very well, and you know,
- 58:18Speaker 5: you just got to out mistake the other team, and
- 58:20Speaker 5: I think the Kraken did that tonight. They took advantage
- 58:23Speaker 5: when when they could. And you know, the Coppo Coco
- 58:25Speaker 5: goal was a fantastic goal. It was it was it
- 58:28Speaker 5: was a it was a goal scorers goal. It was
- 58:31Speaker 5: a goal that you know, Jayden Schwartz puts the puck
- 58:34Speaker 5: on that he's shooting to score, He's not shooting to
- 58:36Speaker 5: go off of Cocko stick. But the fact that Coco
- 58:39Speaker 5: is there he's there for the screen, he's there for
- 58:41Speaker 5: the deflection, he's there for a rebound if it comes up,
- 58:44Speaker 5: and and he got the deflection. And those are the
- 58:46Speaker 5: kind of pucks you want going to the net more
- 58:49Speaker 5: and more to result in more goals goals for. And
- 58:52Speaker 5: I think that mindset right at the early part of
- 58:54Speaker 5: the game is why they got on the board with
- 58:56Speaker 5: that one.
- 58:56Speaker 14: That's the kind of goal you need at a coppo coco.
- 58:59Speaker 14: And the Crack and hoping that Bill see more of that,
- 59:00Speaker 14: and the Crack is certainly hoping as well, he is
- 59:03Speaker 14: back sooner than later. Again, it appeared to be that
- 59:06Speaker 14: he went off gingerly, something tweaked, maybe I believe look,
- 59:09Speaker 14: I believe off a face off win back in period
- 59:12Speaker 14: one he was chasing Kyle O'Connor and then just flag
- 59:15Speaker 14: down the staffs saying I'm done.
- 59:16Speaker 11: He had to leave the eyes.
- 59:17Speaker 14: So the Crack and hoping that he is back certainly
- 59:20Speaker 14: sooner than later before we get out of here.
- 59:23Speaker 11: Guess who's next.
- 59:23Speaker 14: The San Jose Sharks, and they are rolling right now
- 59:27Speaker 14: eight three and one in their last twelve games to
- 59:30Speaker 14: spy tonight, being stopped dead in their tracks by guess
- 59:33Speaker 14: who the Calgary Flames too. Nothing, But it seems as
- 59:37Speaker 14: if Maclin, Celebrini, Will Smith and company have arrived.
- 59:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:41Speaker 5: Absolutely, And you know, after going down in that game
- 59:44Speaker 5: six to one against the Krackend the other night, the
- 59:46Speaker 5: Cracker are going to come into this game with that
- 59:48Speaker 5: in mind. They're coming off of a win here against Winnipeg.
- 59:51Speaker 5: But you've got to go to battle against San Jose
- 59:53Speaker 5: the same way you did here tonight against Winnipeg. Ideally
- 59:56Speaker 5: you come out with the win because you don't want
- 59:58Speaker 5: to go zero to two. And those two games against
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: San Jose.
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: Previous ten games Sharks seven to two and one, they
- 1:00:03Speaker 14: were averaging three point three goals per game. You better
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: believe the Kraken are going to be fired up here
- 1:00:09Speaker 14: for a response game coming up on Saturday. Well, it's
- 1:00:13Speaker 14: all the time we have, folks. Again, thank you for
- 1:00:15Speaker 14: your feedback for joining us here at Tom's watch Bar.
- 1:00:18Speaker 14: We're back here again after the game on Saturday against
- 1:00:21Speaker 14: San Jose. Are thanks also to Travis Muger, technical director
- 1:00:25Speaker 14: Terry Ryan, are on site engineer and that we'll do
- 1:00:27Speaker 14: it here for us for al Kiniski.
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: This is Mike Benton saying good night.
- 1:00:31Speaker 14: From Climbing Pledge Arena and Tom's Watch Bar, and thank
- 1:00:34Speaker 14: you for joining us again. Your final score from Climbing
- 1:00:37Speaker 14: Pledge Arena, the Seellow crack In five and the and
- 1:00:41Speaker 14: the Winnipeg Jets three. This is Talking Kracking on ninety
- 1:00:45Speaker 14: three to three KJRFM
