- 0:05Happy Tuesday morning, everybody.
- 0:08I got my hairs dead. Hermanator got his hairs dead.
- 0:15Hey, Herman, you going to hold that coffee cup the whole time
- 0:19you're here? I think I'm going to do AI think
- 0:27I'm going to do one of those, you know, voting things.
- 0:30Should Herman keep his coffee cup up like this or not?
- 0:34My mom says it's annoying. She does not like it.
- 0:38So maybe I'll start like this and eventually put it down.
- 0:41Let's try that. Respond right here.
- 0:44It's going to be a quick 1 today.
- 0:46I'm not going to try to get to 8 minutes just because I'm going
- 0:49to give you all a break. Just saw by Adam Stern that 2.3
- 0:59million people watched the Miami Homestead NASCAR Cup race.
- 1:07Now before you start saying well this and that, don't go there
- 1:13because I'm a smart man. I'm not bragging on myself, I'm
- 1:18a smart man. 2.3 million. Just just sit on your ass right
- 1:27now and count to 2.3 million. He'd be here all damn day long.
- 1:332.3 million is a lot of people. So 2.3 million people watched
- 1:40the NASCAR Cup Miami race. And that's just that.
- 1:46And that my friends right there, is why TV is paying billions of
- 1:52dollars for NASCAR. Now listen, I've talked bad
- 1:58enough about NASCAR. You know, I've been kind of
- 2:01neutral at times to the lawsuit. I've I've just said what I'm I
- 2:06see. So I'm going to talk good about
- 2:08NASCAR right now. OK.
- 2:09So you're just going to, you're just going to have to eat this
- 2:13one. You're going to have to eat this
- 2:16one. You're going to have to eat
- 2:18positivity. So the article by Adam Stern
- 2:23also reads that NASCAR viewership for TV has been
- 2:27rocketing up for the last six weeks.
- 2:32Why? Why respond right here?
- 2:37If if Bristol was so bad? Oh God, they destroyed Bristol.
- 2:42OK, now I'm giving a little comedy to it 'cause I'm an
- 2:45entertainer. Bristol's seen.
- 2:48Bristol's destroyed Bristol. It was just complete bedlam.
- 2:56And I, and I said about five days after Bristol, I said they
- 3:00will forget Bristol, the fans will forget Bristol and you did.
- 3:06And now we're talking about they should run every race at Miami
- 3:10Homestead. They should run every race in
- 3:15Miami Homestead. It's the greatest race of all
- 3:18time. So I talked to Kenny Schrader
- 3:22about this on our new Schrader. Well, now it's Herman Schrader.
- 3:28It's official. Halfway through this looks like
- 3:32Mike Davis and Tiff and everybody at Dirty MO Media.
- 3:35They have named the new podcast Herm and Schrader.
- 3:40Schrader's pissed. He said and and said you would
- 3:44have top billing. I said, Kenny, I didn't do it.
- 3:48Get on, get on. Mike Davis at Dirty MO Media.
- 3:51What they did, they tested the search engine.
- 3:54They put in all these different names and they said when you
- 3:58search for the new podcast, Herman Schrader is what what
- 4:03search is the best. Not Schrader and Herm.
- 4:06I wish there was Schrader and Herm.
- 4:10OK, so now that I've told you we forgot about Bristol TV, ratings
- 4:15are up. Let's talk about that crowd.
- 4:18Let's talk about that crowd at Miami Homestead.
- 4:21There was nobody there. I I'd say you'd be stretching if
- 4:26there was 20,000 people in the grandstands.
- 4:29OK, I'll give you 30 just because maybe there was 30,000
- 4:34people there. I think it holds 60,000 people.
- 4:38But this is what I've been preaching to all of you all
- 4:41along. Listen, I'm right.
- 4:44Don't get mad at me. Don't get mad at me.
- 4:48I told you that NASCAR was moving on wide open.
- 4:53Look here, here's my here's my gas pedal foot.
- 4:56Look wide open on the gas. On the gas.
- 5:00NASCAR is not letting up. Now listen, I'm going to say
- 5:04something a little smart ass and you can respond right here.
- 5:10We want people in the grandstands, OK?
- 5:13We meaning our sport. When I say we, that means all of
- 5:17us together. You too.
- 5:19I know you want people in the grandstands.
- 5:21I want people in the grandstands.
- 5:24NASCAR wants people in the grandstands.
- 5:26We want people in the grandstands.
- 5:29However, TV is paying NASCAR billions and billions of
- 5:36dollars. Like 2 billion 1.8 billions.
- 5:41I'm going to say it like a smart ass You don't have to be in the
- 5:45grandstands this oh God, Kenny Jesus, get your voice like a man
- 5:54NASCAR does not need us. I'm going to include me to make
- 5:58me look bad first. NASCAR does not need us in the
- 6:01grandstands, OK? So get off, get off your high
- 6:04horse right now. Get get off of it because they
- 6:10don't need us in the grandstands, OK, As much as you,
- 6:13oh, the sport is failing everything, everything is about
- 6:23TV now. Going to the race tracks is you
- 6:30got to do it at a NASCAR track. But maybe you want to sit at
- 6:34home and you just want to watch it on TV.
- 6:38There's two types of people. You got the people that love
- 6:41NASCAR and they're going 'cause they want to experience it.
- 6:44I mean, that crowd at Bristol was unbelievable.
- 6:47That was one of the biggest crowds I've seen at Bristol in
- 6:50years. Because Bristol is awesome is,
- 6:54you know, I thought the race was awesome because they went green
- 6:56flag so long, but you didn't like it because you wanted them
- 7:00to pit. You want to pitch tragic.
- 7:02And me, I'm from the old days. I'm like, man, holy crap, this
- 7:05place it went caution free and and some of the new race car
- 7:10drivers disagree with me. But to me, I mean, I thought
- 7:14Bristol was awesome. Now the fans showed up.
- 7:18They here's here's the opposite. They did not show up at the best
- 7:22race of the year. So respond right here.
- 7:26Why did they show up at the race that you say is the not not a
- 7:29good race, which was Bristol and they don't show up at the best
- 7:33race of the year? Is it because it's in Miami and
- 7:38it's too far down and you're not going to drive there?
- 7:41Could be, it could be. Is it too expensive?
- 7:44To me, it's like, hell, you make a vacation out of it.
- 7:48So we're looking there. I didn't even try to go to 8
- 7:50minutes and it's just such a good subject.
- 7:53I think this one's going to be a good one.
- 7:54Everybody all right? Take a deep breath.
- 8:00I see this going on in dirt racing.
- 8:03I see this going on in dirt racing.
- 8:05And by the way, more and more of you dirt racers are worse.
- 8:08You dirt racing fans are getting worse than NASCAR fans.
- 8:12I'm seeing so much bitching and moaning out there.
- 8:16But, but here's the deal with dirt racing, you got flow, you
- 8:20got dirt vision and those, those subscriptions are record
- 8:24ratings. So you're doing the same thing
- 8:26in dirt racing. So don't act like dirt racing is
- 8:29pure. You dirt fans are the same as a
- 8:32NASCAR fan. You won't go to the race, but
- 8:35you'll watch it on Flow and you'll watch it on Dirt Vision.
- 8:39All right, everybody that look, I, I just told you what I see.
- 8:42I'm not trying to get you. There's no agreeing with me or
- 8:45not. That don't matter.
- 8:46The point is, is that's what's going on.
- 8:50All the money right now is that Flow, Dirt Vision and TV.
- 8:56All right, You can go to the race whether you want to or not,
- 8:59but they're proving to you they don't.
- 9:00They don't really need you. They don't need you at the
- 9:03racetrack anymore because a billions of dollars because
- 9:07you're watching at home was why. All right, respond right here.
- 9:12And I think the ones that that don't make any sense.
- 9:15I don't like Bristol, but it had the biggest crowd of the year
- 9:19just about, oh, that Miami race was great.
- 9:22But there's nobody in the grandstands They're going to
- 9:26NASCAR is is going to be just fine.
- 9:29It's designed for people to watch on TV.
- 9:33Respond right here.
