- 0:02Speaker 1: The Save America Act.
- 0:03Speaker 2: There's no excuse, no reason why it hasn't been done,
- 0:07Speaker 2: even though over eighty percent of the people are in
- 0:09Speaker 2: favor of common sense ideas like making sure you have
- 0:14Speaker 2: proof of citizenship when you register to vote and voter
- 0:17Speaker 2: ID before you go vote. The Democrats have been united
- 0:20Speaker 2: and they don't want that because they try to cheat
- 0:23Speaker 2: every single day.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Well, today marks one hundred days until the midterm elections,
- 0:28Speaker 3: and President Trump is urging Senator Republicans to pass the
- 0:31Speaker 3: Save America Act before November third. The President posting this
- 0:35Speaker 3: on truth Social last night. The all Republican senators terminate
- 0:39Speaker 3: the filibuster, which the Democrats, his word, will do as
- 0:43Speaker 3: soon as they get the chance, and pass the Save
- 0:46Speaker 3: America Act and everything else, including the budget and upcoming
- 0:49Speaker 3: debt ceiling. Do it now before it is too late,
- 0:53Speaker 3: President DJT. But some Senators say it's not that easy.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Here's Wisconsin Republican Ron Johnson.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I'm fully supportive of it. In order to get the
- 1:03Speaker 4: full Save America Act, we'd have to end the filibuster.
- 1:05Speaker 4: I don't think we have the votes for that right now.
- 1:07Speaker 4: If we use reconciliation, I think we go a long
- 1:10Speaker 4: wait toward doing things like election integrity.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Let's bring in Joe kanchif Fox News contributors. So, as
- 1:19Speaker 3: was pointed out, the polls suggest more than eighty percent
- 1:23Speaker 3: of Americans think you should be required to show ID
- 1:26Speaker 3: to vote. But it's not happening. It's not This law
- 1:30Speaker 3: is not getting past Joe.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Why no, it's not John And the President says that
- 1:36Speaker 5: we need to blow up the filibuster. The problem is
- 1:38Speaker 5: that even if you did, you just need a simple
- 1:40Speaker 5: majority in the Senate. The votes to Ron Johnson, the
- 1:44Speaker 5: senator just pointed out, the votes still aren't there. Republicans
- 1:47Speaker 5: need to Senator Swade. The problem is one senator who's
- 1:52Speaker 5: currently against the Save America Act, which makes no sense whatsoever.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Mitch McConnell, the former Senate majority leader, continues to be
- 1:59Speaker 5: absent for six weeks and now appears to have no
- 2:02Speaker 5: inclination of immediately resigning, even though you know he obviously
- 2:06Speaker 5: should given the way that he is health wise, and
- 2:11Speaker 5: Joe Biden should have done the same thing when he
- 2:13Speaker 5: was president. It's the same kind of situation. So if
- 2:15Speaker 5: you criticize Biden for not re resigning, you have to
- 2:17Speaker 5: do the same thing with McConnell, and he's a no
- 2:19Speaker 5: even before he was hospitalized, and he gave no good
- 2:22Speaker 5: reason for not supporting the Save America Act. Tom Tillis,
- 2:25Speaker 5: Senator North Carolina just out of spite, it appears he
- 2:29Speaker 5: cannot also give a coherent reason for opposing, but he
- 2:31Speaker 5: is right now. Same goes for Susan Collins of Maine,
- 2:35Speaker 5: Lisa Murkowski Alaska.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Those are the four votes that are outstanding.
- 2:38Speaker 5: If they could get to fifty and then have jd
- 2:40Speaker 5: Vance as the Vice President be the tiebreaker, that's fine.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So most Republicans are behind this.
- 2:45Speaker 5: All Democrats are against it, and the problem is that
- 2:48Speaker 5: you just don't know if McConnell or Tillis or Collins
- 2:52Speaker 5: or mccowsky can be swayed. So in the end, John
- 2:55Speaker 5: Democrats just to have to have an Okay.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Knight to take back the House.
- 2:58Speaker 5: And if the Save America can't be passed despite having
- 3:02Speaker 5: the Congress the Senate in the White House, that's going
- 3:04Speaker 5: to depress turnout for Republicans who want this. Voters do
- 3:07Speaker 5: more than anything, and not just Republican voters, Democrat voters,
- 3:10Speaker 5: independent voters. The majority there as well want voter ID.
- 3:15Speaker 5: But yet it can't pass because of four senators on
- 3:17Speaker 5: the Republican side who still can't give any good reason
- 3:20Speaker 5: why they're against this bill. But if it doesn't pass,
- 3:23Speaker 5: Republicans are going to have a very bad night when
- 3:25Speaker 5: it comes to the midterms in November.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That we do know.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Steve Scalise is right now the House majority leader.
- 3:32Speaker 1: He says this about.
- 3:34Speaker 3: The voter the save America voter ID requirements. It's a
- 3:39Speaker 3: basic idea that everybody understands because.
- 3:42Speaker 1: They do it already.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You want to get on a plane by a six pack.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Of beer, how about the franchise of the American democracy.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Let's make sure you are who you say you are,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and illegals.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Can't vote in American elections.
- 3:55Speaker 5: If you want to go buy unlimited past at the
- 3:57Speaker 5: Olive Garden, they said you have to show your ID.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You know, to get into.
- 4:01Speaker 5: The Democrat convention to vote for Kamala Harris, you had
- 4:06Speaker 5: to show a picture ID.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So those are some of the ironies of the current situation.
- 4:11Speaker 3: You don't have to show ID in federal elections.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Precisely.
- 4:16Speaker 5: And Democrats are still staunchly against this, all of them,
- 4:19Speaker 5: not one breaking away, even John Fetterman, who seems to
- 4:23Speaker 5: be more of a common sense person on the Democrats side,
- 4:26Speaker 5: even he wouldn't vote for the Save America Act. So
- 4:29Speaker 5: here you have Democrats despite eighty three percent of Americans,
- 4:33Speaker 5: including a solid majority, as I said, of Democrats Independence,
- 4:36Speaker 5: supporting voter.
- 4:36Speaker 1: ID, they aren't budging on this.
- 4:38Speaker 5: And one thing that could break the dam a bit,
- 4:41Speaker 5: John is what happened here in my home state of
- 4:43Speaker 5: New Jersey, where it was just revealed that sixty six
- 4:47Speaker 5: hundred illegals were added to voter roles and hundreds voted
- 4:51Speaker 5: in elections as a result. You would think that would
- 4:54Speaker 5: therefore destroy the narrative, which is, well, legals really don't
- 4:58Speaker 5: vote in elections because it's a well, they've broke into
- 5:01Speaker 5: the country illegally. So I don't think the whole illegal
- 5:03Speaker 5: thing is really an argument at this point or something
- 5:05Speaker 5: they really care about. But in the end, Republicans are
- 5:08Speaker 5: on the right side of this as far as voter ID,
- 5:11Speaker 5: as far as the public, and if this doesn't pass,
- 5:13Speaker 5: then well we're broken as a government because this is
- 5:16Speaker 5: something that almost every American wants isn't getting because obviously
- 5:20Speaker 5: there are midterms coming up, and therefore everybody's digging in
- 5:23Speaker 5: and no one seems to be not being swayed at
- 5:27Speaker 5: this point to vote for something that most Americans say
- 5:29Speaker 5: is common sense.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Now, you wrote a piece on this for the Washington Examiner,
- 5:33Speaker 3: and I want to read part of what you wrote,
- 5:35Speaker 3: just so I don't have to make you remember it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Democrats just lost. The narrative of voter fraud.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Was the headline Democrats and the majority of the press
- 5:43Speaker 3: used to insist voter fraud isn't a big deal, nothing
- 5:45Speaker 3: to see here. But with so many previous races coming
- 5:48Speaker 3: down to such small margins, even a so called small amount.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Is enough to decide power in Washington.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And as you point out, there were sixty six hundred
- 5:58Speaker 3: illegal aliens or at least aliens who are not US citizens,
- 6:02Speaker 3: registered to vote in New Jersey according to a because
- 6:06Speaker 3: of a computer error.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yeah, computer error.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Where again the software company says, look, we're handed voter rolls.
- 6:13Speaker 5: We don't decide who's on the voter role. So they're
- 6:16Speaker 5: saying it's not a software error. This was the state
- 6:18Speaker 5: of New Jersey adding these folks, these illegals, to the
- 6:21Speaker 5: voter roles. And look, the Democrat argument, now, John, is
- 6:24Speaker 5: that well, a couple hundred votes really doesn't sway any elections.
- 6:28Speaker 5: I bring you back, and you covered this quite well.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Two thousand George W. Bush al Gore. That election was
- 6:35Speaker 5: decided in the state of Florida. Remember Tim Russell, It
- 6:37Speaker 5: all comes down to Florida, Florida, Florida those twenty five
- 6:40Speaker 5: electoral votes at the time, by five hundred and thirty
- 6:42Speaker 5: seven votes, all right, five hundred and thirty seven out
- 6:45Speaker 5: of more than six million cast in the state of Florida.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Okay, that is.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Zero point zero zero eight percent of the votes decided.
- 6:54Speaker 1: The course of history. Let's face it, George W. Bush wins,
- 6:58Speaker 1: What if al Gore wins? Where are we?
- 7:00Speaker 5: Does Barack Obama ever become president? Does Donald Trump ever
- 7:03Speaker 5: become president? Where are we as a country? Five hundred
- 7:06Speaker 5: and thirty seven votes a minuscule amount. So yeah, when
- 7:09Speaker 5: you hear Democrats say it's not a lot, it's no
- 7:12Speaker 5: big deal. It's just a couple one hundred votes here
- 7:14Speaker 5: and there. Well, that decides House races, it decides Senate races.
- 7:18Speaker 1: It decided the two thousand election.
- 7:20Speaker 5: And even in twenty twenty we had Donald Trump lose
- 7:23Speaker 5: in Georgia by ten.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Thousand votes or twelve thousand.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Excuse me, Arizona by ten thousand, Wisconsin by twenty thousand.
- 7:29Speaker 5: All right, that is a small percentage of the total
- 7:31Speaker 5: votes cast. What if those votes were fraudulent, then we
- 7:35Speaker 5: may have a different president in twenty twenty, and again
- 7:37Speaker 5: the course of history is changed again. That's why this
- 7:39Speaker 5: is a big deal, and that's why Republicans need to
- 7:42Speaker 5: hammer this point home that even a little is enough
- 7:45Speaker 5: to change things permanently for a very very long time.
- 7:49Speaker 5: No vote should be fraudulent. Therefore, pass the Same America Act.
- 7:52Speaker 5: The question is can they get Tillis, McConnell, Mkowski or
- 7:56Speaker 5: Collins on board. Because they can't, then this thing ain't happening.
- 7:59Speaker 5: And it's really that's what a.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Story, all right. Joe concha, Joe, thank you.
