-total lunar eclipse will be visible across the
• 6:20
United States. This event follows a spectacular
• 6:23
total solar eclipse that captivated observers
• 6:27
in southern Europe two weeks ago. Lunar eclipses
• 6:30
happen when Earth passes between the Sun and
• 6:33
the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon's surface.
• 6:37
During this eclipse, nearly the entire Moon specifically
• 6:41
96 .2 % at its peak, will be cloaked in Earth's
• 6:45
shadow. Weather permitting, viewers across North
• 6:48
and South America will enjoy excellent views.
• 6:52
The eclipse begins at 9 .23 p .m. Eastern Time
• 6:56
and peaks at 12 .12 p .m. Eastern Time. In business
• 7:01
news, MetaDodge is the big tobacco nightmare
• 7:05
with an $18 billion settlement in a child safety
• 7:08
lawsuit. The social media giant's agreement with
• 7:12
state officials removes a cloud that was hanging
• 7:14
over its stock, analysts say. Shares of meta
• 7:18
-platforms rose in choppy trading on Wednesday's
• 7:21
Wall Street, assessed the implications of the
• 7:24
social media company's settlement in a closely
• 7:27
watched legal battle over child safety. The settlement
• 7:30
came during the second week of a California federal
• 7:33
trial over claims brought by a coalition of states.
• 7:36
that accused Meta of designing Facebook and Instagram
• 7:40
to entice, engage, and ultimately ensnare children.
• 7:45
In crypto movement, Bitcoin is unchanged at about
• 7:50
  $79 ,000. Ethereum is up 1 % to about $2 ,000.
• 7:57
And XRP is down 3 % to $1 .41. Moving on to a
• 8:04
more local vibe. In our community spotlight on
• 8:08
health and wellness, we are working with a national

• 8:14
so listen up. Check out Club Pilates with several

• 8:49
back to the show. Let's talk science. Archaeologists
• 8:54
in southern Turkey have unearthed a unique statue
• 8:56
of a person riding a Leopard dating back 11 ,000
• 9:00
years. This remarkable discovery, made at the
• 9:04
Neolithic site of Karahan Tape, reflects the
• 9:07
culture's fascination with virility and masculinity,
• 9:11
according to experts. The statue, measuring about
• 9:14
28 inches tall, was described as being in a style
• 9:17
unlike anything seen before by Turkey's Minister
• 9:21
of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The
• 9:25
find may provide valuable insights into the earliest
• 9:28
human settlements, as researchers continue to
• 9:31
explore the meanings behind this intriguing human
• 9:35
and Leopard motif. And in entertainment news,
• 9:42
Coyote Versacmi is a clever comedy about underdogs
• 9:46
battling corporate greed, and it has been thankfully
• 9:49
rescued from corporate obscurity. Directed by
• 9:52
Dave Green, this live -action Looney Tunes movie
• 9:55
brings wild e -coyote to life, as he sues Acme
• 9:59
for their unreliable products. With a delightful
• 10:03
mix of classic gags and contemporary themes,
• 10:06
this film showcases the struggles of a character
• 10:08
who is both funny and sad. Ketchup Entertainment
• 10:12
will release Coyote Verse. Acme in theaters on
• 10:16
Friday, August 28th. giving fans a chance to
• 10:19
enjoy this unique story. Well, all righty folks,
• 10:24
it's time for the quote of the day. And today,
• 10:28
our quote comes from the American inventor and
• 10:31
businessman Thomas Edison. And he said, the value
• 10:36
of an idea lies in the using of it, reminding
• 10:39
us that innovation, like the drilling of the
• 10:41
first oil well, transforms potential into reality.
• 10:45
fueling progress and reshaping industries. And
• 10:50
that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
• 10:53
out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some
• 10:56
