- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Happy Victory Monday, Jacksonville, Jaguar fans, welcome in.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: To do Valdalee, presented by Gen Jack.com, I'm Jordan Deluggo.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much for being here.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: Monday, November 17th, and what a glorious Victory Monday.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: It is for your Jacksonville Jaguar after taking down the Chargers 35 to 6 in Jacksonville.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get into my top takeaways from this one.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously not in the home studio.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Still visiting family out here in Kansas City.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: we'll be returning back to Jacksonville tomorrow.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So Wednesday, we'll be back to regularly scheduled programming, but we've done a good job getting this content out, and being able to analyze these football games and having a good time doing it.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: So when I look at this Jacksonville Jack Wars game, I mean, there was so much to get excited about.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: 35 to six, I mean.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't get much better than that in the NFL.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, victory Monday, sale on GenJag.com.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is 35% off to celebrate that victory with code Duval.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's Duval with three use.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: D-U-U-U-V-A-L. GenJag.com.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be live by the time we get this video up.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Top takeaways from this win.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: You don't play passive pass coverage.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Pass coverage is not passive.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: You saw Buster Brown making plays when he was up close to the line of scrimmage.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: You saw other guys making plays when they're not lined up.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Eight, ten yards off the line.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, ten yards might be a bit of an exaggeration, might not be.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: But absolutely, if you get these guys and positions to be able to play aggressive and make plays on the ball,
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: they can do that, they have the talent to do that, bus to a brown, Greg Newsom goes down with the injury, you have Christian Brasswell out there doing well.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: The safety's actually did a heck of a job in this game, which I don't know if you can sit here and feel that that's going to continue to be the case weekend and week out with Antonio Johnson and Do We Wingard, but you are going to get Eric Murray back at some point, hopefully, don't know exactly the timeline on that one yet.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: And that could really help me help Greg Newsome doesn't have to mess in any extensive time.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get some injury updates maybe today, but more likely on Wednesday.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, you can, and this is my opinion.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: You can talk about,
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: the past rush getting going.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: You can talk about also it's a different part of this game, but the biggest area of improvement to, again, was the alignment of the cornerbacks and that given them the ability to actually make plays on the football.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: And they're not always going to be up on the line, but if you're three to five yards off instead of seven to nine yards off, that puts you in a better position to be able to make a play on the ball.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, y'all enjoy the posters over my shoulder here in our cousins room, but that to me was the biggest thing, the biggest cause of this win of the defense stepping up and playing better football against a talented offense, right?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Very talented, Austin's, and yes, Shaw Shines Allen, franchise-sacchar could step up, Tray-mom Walker, stepped up, other guys on the defense of front, stepped up.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, they were given the ability to do so because of, again, not being passive and past coverage, past coverage does not have to be passive.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Anthony Campony, like, shout out to you for getting the job done there.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody on that defense of side of the ball,
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if y'all enjoy the content here, please like and subscribe.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: So switching sides of the ball for a moment, Jacobi Myers has to be the Jaguar's top receiving target the rest of the year.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: And now I'm not bearing the lead, the Jaguar's did go absolutely crazy on the ground.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that's something, quite frankly, that does not surprise me very much.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: The chargers were not a good run to defense coming into this game.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't allow a nuclear
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: yards per game on the ground, a lot of that I think had to do with game script throughout this year.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: They've been up a good amount, you know, being a 7 and 3 team, entering this game.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: But the Jaguar said, we're going to run the ball.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to run the ball, we're going to run it, we're going to run it some more.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And the Chargers had been allowing almost five yards per carry on the ground this year.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaggs went out and they committed to the run and they had over 47 carries.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: And that's exactly what the doctor ordered.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: There's
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of talk about Trevor Lawrence and we can get to that of course, but to me, again, you know, I've talked about this numerous times on this channel over the years.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars franchise is at its best when they're running the ball and being dominant on the ground and committing to the run.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Just look at all the best Jack horse teams throughout franchise history.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: They all ran the damn ball and the Jack horse, it exactly that today, 47 carries, or I say today, yesterday.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: 47 carries, 192 yards.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: 4.1 per carry, not amazing, but 192 yards, four rushing touchdowns.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence got in on the action with that quarterback draw.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Basial Tutan, such a touch runner in this game.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen that at times before with Bacial, his ability to run through tackles, to get low, to use that leverage, and use the strength that is in his frame.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's a shorter guy, but he's got some strength to him.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: 4.9 yards per carry, 74 yards, a touchdown.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Travis, CTN.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Really, the one who grew up was grinding out a lot of tough yards too.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: 19 carries 73 yards, two touchdowns.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Trevor Lawrence touchdown, Lee Quinn Allen was running at two.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: He had eight carries.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's a new career high for Lee Quinn Allen, eight carries, 36 yards, four and a half yards per.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: The jags, they committed to the run, the running backs did the job, the quarterback did the job in the run game, and the offensive line, specifically Robert Hansie, as we're Cleveland, these guys mulling chargers, defenders, you love to see that, and that needs to be the identity of this football team for a lot of reasons.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Again, one is the franchise has been at its best when you run in the ball like this.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: what franchise isn't going to be right, but that's kind of the calling card of the jag war over the last 30 years.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it be Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones drew, I mean guys before that, you know, Stewart and memes and and then you know, getting into some of the more modern times, you know, Jags learned for that didn't have a great career here, but he did have a hell of a rookie year that helped the jag wars get to the MC title game and you know, there's just such a history of
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, have ETN, Tutan, Allen, Jordan the party.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'd love to see that.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the run game is absolutely critical for the Jack Wars.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: It was excellent.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: They committed to it.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen is such a good.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: run game coordinator, and obviously he's the head coach.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: He has offensive coordinator and all that, but he's the one this is his run game.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: He knows how to adjust it to his talent.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: He knows how to adjust it to the opposing defense.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: He did an incredible job in that regard against the chargers.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he needed to because the chargers did not have a good run defense.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers though, but sticking with the offense here, Jacobi Myers,
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: He has got to be the top target of the rest of the season.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying every single game, probably, though, realistically, but you'll have Britain strained back.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: You'll have Brian Thomas Jr. back.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: No Travis Hunter, but you'll have some guys that get back out there, but Jacobi Myers to me.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: I said it when they traded for him.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: The most professional receiver that Trevor Lawrence has ever played with has ever thrown the football to.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: That is awesome.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he had the type of performance that wasn't like mind blowing, but consistent.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Where he's supposed to be when he's supposed to be there catches the football, strong hands, good route runner, good size, 6 targets, 5 catches, 64 yards, 12.8 per.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: get in the job done, and we'll talk about your quarterback in just a minute here.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: First, that our mind y'all about underdog, Vanna see underdog is the best place to make picks and win money all season long, but both season it's in full swing obvious when I halfway through a little over halfway through, playing on underdog is easy.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns receiving arts, interceptions, and more.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously tonight Monday night football, you can look at the Raiders, the Cowboys, you can also make team picks now on Underdog, which is pretty cool.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Is there going to be an upset and Vegas?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: You can be the one to decide, and I'm obviously looking at Ashton Gentie.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: One of my guys.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: higher than 64 and a half rushing arts.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's on it in three of his last four cowboys do not have a great run defense.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking at that for sure.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Download that today and sign up with promo code Duval Daily to score a hundred dollars in bonus funds when you play your first five dollars.

- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Must be 18 plus, 19 plus an Alabama and Nebraska, 19 plus in Colorado for some games, 21 plus an Arizona.

- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jacobi, awesome.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's talk about Trevor Lawrence.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: I get a lot of comments, you know, good quarterbacks.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: They play consistent football.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Look around the league.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Look around the league right now, folks.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence ain't the only quarterback that struggle with consistency.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you need an example of that, just look across the damn field.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: What happened to Justin Herbert in this football game?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not talking about getting injured.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about when he was in this game.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: When he was a healthy, what were the jag wars able to do against Justin Herbert?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Quite a bit.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: He was only 10 of 18, 80 yards, an interception, the jacks, that defense, a defense that was much maligned, gave Justin Herbert fits.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Look across the league, I mean, Patrick Mahomes.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew Stafford, everybody struggles.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not putting Trevor Lawrence in the category with those players right now, but you're also not, you shouldn't be putting him down below where he belongs.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's in a above average quarterback right now in this system and he has the opportunity, the talent, the future, to be a lot more than that, in this offense.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: And also, again, look at the receivers.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: When they get the job done, Trevor Lawrence gets the job done.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: With, you know, the running game going absolutely nuclear for the Jaguars going off and Trevor interception was horrible.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that horrible, horrible interception.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: missed play on fourth down, fourth and three early on, two bad place.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: After that, the dude played good football.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: He really did.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: He played good football for the Jaguars and scored two touchdowns in this game.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Thinking now has 16 touchdowns on the year, total touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns on the year.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's good stuff for Trevor Lawrence and he's continuing to grow within this
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: New offensive line, pieces moving in and out, obviously, the run game being what it is is is super helpful, but then you have all the movement and changes with the receiving core kudos to Trevor Lawrence for picking up himself up off the mat in this game and playing really well.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: To me, talking about the Jaguars continuing with these takeaways, if you can play games, where you get penalized like five times or less, and in this game it was once.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: You can win a lot of games in this league if you're the jag worth and you don't be yourself.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be yourself with missed assignments, with dropped passes, with pre-snap penalties.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: You can win a lot of damn games.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the BJ Green Penelty that got negated off-setting penalties to me.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing I would really change about the way he made that play.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: But if you, if you can just avoid beating yourself,
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: If you're the chat course, you can win a lot of these games.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars could very easily be 7 and 3, 8 and 2.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you talk about not beating yourself.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's where they're out there, continue to run the ball.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars, when you're looking ahead, what can they lean on?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: They can lean on running the ball.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: they can lean on stopping the run, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: They can lean on Jacobi Myers, they can lean on Britain's strange in the past game.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington at Times, right?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously he battled through a little bit of a hamstring this week, but Tim Patrick, who does to him and Kudos to several unheralded players, making plays for the Jaguars in this game, you know, Johnny Munt, Quentin Morris, Tim Patrick,
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Guys that are just stepping up and doing their job, not doing anything else, not having to go above and beyond, but just doing their job within the scheme.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think they can lean on there, running the ball, they can lean on, Jacobi Myers, Britain Strange, etc.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: They can lean on the past for a shothinesow and Trayvon Walker, Eric Armstrong said,
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: These guys can get home if you give them a second give them a couple seconds to get home and they can do it And realistically, we're talking about like two and a half to three seconds Let them have two and a half to three seconds and they can get home.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: They can affect the quarterback in a big way First complete game of the year.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Can you stack complete games if you can stack complete games and you don't have to win 35 to six next week But if you can play a game where you run the ball
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: You don't beat yourself.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: You play run defense and you play more aggressive and coverage close to the line of scrimmage.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think you can start to feel like you've built momentum.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: You can play this way moving forward.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to be perfect.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to win every game.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: you're going to be able to to feel confident in the way you're playing ball.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm at.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Team still needs to get healthier.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: No ants on Harrison, No Britain strange, No Brian Thomas Jr. No Eric Murray.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: Greg Newsome goes down.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully he's all right.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: If this team gets healthy, again, and they do some of these things we just talked about, they can absolutely be very dangerous, very dangerous, play a complete game, control the control levels, cardinals up next, then Tennessee, you get on a run, maybe went through an arrow who knows, see what happens, and then you've got the cults in Jacksonville, who have not won in Jacksonville since 2014, in over a decade, Jack Wars, six and four.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: in control of their own destiny, both in the division, and in the AFC wildcard.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: They are currently the 7th seed.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: They have the ability to actually win the division still, but they've got to go on a run, they've got to beat the cult, they've got to beat the Titans in order to do that.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe, and y'all have a good one.
