- 0:00SPEAKER_00: 2 Corinthians 5.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: We know that our body, the tent we live here on earth, will be destroyed.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: But when that happens, God will have a home for us to live in.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: It will not be the kind of home people build here.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: It will be a home in heaven that will continue forever.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: But now we are tired of this body.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: We want God to give us our heavenly home.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: It will clothe us and we will not be naked.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: While we live in this tent, we have burdens, and so we complain.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I don't mean that we want to remove this tent, but we want to be clothed with our heavenly home.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Then this body that dies will be covered with life.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: This is what God Himself made us for, and He has given us a spirit as the first payment to guarantee the life to come.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: So we always have the confidence.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: We know that we live in this body, we are away from the Lord.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: We live by what we believe will happen, not by what we can see.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: So I can say that we have confidence, and we really want to be away from this body and to be at home with the Lord.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Our only goal is to always please the Lord.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Whether we are living here in this body or there with him, we must all stand before Christ to be judged.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Everyone will get what they should.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: They will be paid for whatever they did, good or bad when they lived in this earthly body.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Helping people become God's friends.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: We know what it means to fear the Lord, so we try to help people accept the truth.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: God knows what we really are, and I hope that in your hearts you know us too.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: We are trying not to prove ourselves to you again, but we are telling you about ourselves.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: We are giving you reasons to be proud of us.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Then you will have an answer for those who are proud about what can be seen.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: They don't care about what is in a person's heart.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: If we are crazy, it is for God.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: If we have our right mind, it is for you.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: The love of Christ controls us because we know that one person died for everyone, so all have died.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: He died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: He died for them and was raised from death so that they would live for him.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: From this time on we don't think of anyone as the world thinks of people.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: It is true that in the past we thought of Christ as the world thinks, but we don't think that way now.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: The old things are gone.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Suddenly everything is new.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: All this is from God.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Through Christ, God made peace between Himself and us, and God gave us the work of bringing people into peace with Him.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I mean that God was in Christ, making peace between the world and Himself.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: In Christ God did not hold people guilty for their sins, and He gave us this message of peace to tell people, so we have been sent to speak for Christ.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: It is like God is calling to people through us.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: We speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could be right with God.
