Interestingly, the word encourage does not appear once
• 0:16
in the King James Version of the New Testament and only a few
• 0:20
times in the Old Testament. However, its meaning lies
• 0:23
enshrined in words such as comfort, consolation, entreat,
• 0:27
and exhort. In most cases, these words could
• 0:30
be translated to encourage. From David we can learn the
• 0:33
source of encouragement for the child of God in difficult
• 0:37
circumstances. David's secret can be yours
• 0:40
today. Note, we're told that David
• 0:42
encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
