- 0:35Speaker 3: It's National Black Cat Day. Perfect for Halloween week, right?
- 0:39Speaker 3: Celebrating black cats' superstition and their connection to witches and
- 0:44Speaker 3: bad luck. It is also National American Beer Day for
- 0:48Speaker 3: producer Nick. American Beer Day, Nick. Celebrate accordingly.
- 0:52Speaker 5: We will be shotgunning.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I don't know if this affects anybody in this room.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It's National Cranky Coworker Day. We all know that one person...
- 1:00Speaker 3: who's already in a bad mood before they've ever had
- 1:03Speaker 3: their first cup of coffee. Nobody in here, certainly. No.
- 1:08Speaker 7: So this has been a theme now for the last
- 1:10Speaker 7: few days on the show about describing your job with
- 1:14Speaker 7: as little words as possible but making it sound creepy
- 1:17Speaker 7: and or mysterious.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Claudia, go ahead. What's your job?
- 1:22Speaker 8: Good morning, guys.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 1:23Speaker 9: I know where you live.
- 1:25Speaker 10: I know where you work.
- 1:26Speaker 9: I know how much money you make. I know where
- 1:28Speaker 9: you ate dinner last Friday night. I know about your
- 1:31Speaker 9: little Target shopping spree you thought nobody noticed. I know
- 1:36Speaker 9: how many pairs of shoes you bought. I know what
- 1:38Speaker 9: kind of car you drive. The mysterious $ 400 Venmo transactions,
- 1:42Speaker 9: your side hustle. And yes, I absolutely know about the
- 1:45Speaker 9: little money that Graham has been supplementing you for the
- 1:47Speaker 9: last six months.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, you work for the bank or like Venmo?
- 1:50Speaker 3: You're my wife. No.
- 1:55Speaker 4: You're a tax person.
- 1:56Speaker 7: Nope.
- 1:57Speaker 11: So you don't work for the bank?
- 1:58Speaker 4: Oh, I know who you are. You're an assistant.
- 2:02Speaker 9: I am a mortgage broker.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 2:06Speaker 12: Because you've got to know all the details.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I need your last three months bank statements.
- 2:11Speaker 5: All the things.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 4: That's a good one, Claudia.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Really good.
- 2:17Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 2:18Speaker 9: I know all your stuff. It's pretty amazing what I
- 2:21Speaker 9: know about you by the time we're done.
- 2:22Speaker 4: How long have you been doing this job?
- 2:25Speaker 10: 21 years.
- 2:25Speaker 7: Is there anything totally wild or crazy that you've ever
- 2:27Speaker 7: experienced that you found out about somebody?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely.
- 2:31Speaker 9: Everything from gambling to porn addiction, secret, like sugar daddy
- 2:36Speaker 9: side hustle. Like why do you get a thousand dollar
- 2:38Speaker 9: deposit into your bank account and the bank account your
- 2:40Speaker 9: husband didn't know about? Um, uh, yeah, tons.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I mean, but if it gets to the house, I guess,
- 2:46Speaker 3: you know, whatever.
- 2:48Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 9: I mean, as long as I, well, as long as
- 2:50Speaker 9: the sugar daddy is willing to give up his bank
- 2:52Speaker 9: statements to show that he gave it to you and
- 2:53Speaker 9: you want a good letter of explanation, go for it.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 9: I mean, I've seen it all. There's no, We've lost
- 2:59Speaker 9: deals because one guy thought that it would be great
- 3:01Speaker 9: to propose to his girlfriend when he carried her over
- 3:04Speaker 9: the threshold of their new house. So he bought her
- 3:07Speaker 9: an $ 80, 000 engagement ring. Turns out that the income ratio
- 3:10Speaker 9: doesn't work anymore. So there's no house.
- 3:12Speaker 8: Wow.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Hey, how do you find out if someone's got a
- 3:17Speaker 7: porn addiction by being a mortgage broker?
- 3:19Speaker 9: Their bank statements.
- 3:21Speaker 4: You mean because they're doing what? They're buying Pornhub?
- 3:24Speaker 9: They're paying for various, well, most of them aren't doing
- 3:27Speaker 9: it for free or they're paying for some kind of
- 3:29Speaker 9: a thing. I think most people with addiction don't stick
- 3:33Speaker 9: to Pornhub, so they usually have a whole lot of
- 3:37Speaker 9: weird withdrawals. And it says right on it normally what
- 3:40Speaker 9: it is.
- 3:41Speaker 8: That's wild.
- 3:42Speaker 3: The mortgage people ask for everything, right? I mean, the letters,
- 3:46Speaker 3: the letters of explanation are crazy. I remember when I
- 3:48Speaker 3: went to go buy a house, they said, did you
- 3:50Speaker 3: own a house at this address? I said, no. And
- 3:54Speaker 3: they're like, can you write a letter explaining how you
- 3:56Speaker 3: never owned a house at that address? That's my favorite.
- 4:00Speaker 10: Negatives.
- 4:01Speaker 9: Can you prove a negative? Can you prove that you
- 4:03Speaker 9: never did this? No, probably not.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I probably can't.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Are you ever like, can you prove that you didn't
- 4:08Speaker 7: download Itty Bitty Gangbang?
- 4:10Speaker 6: Oh my gosh.
- 4:11Speaker 3: We're stuck on that one.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the part that pulls me.
- 4:15Speaker 9: It's a lot because when you have repetitive withdrawals, we've
- 4:18Speaker 9: got to figure out whether or not it's a debt
- 4:20Speaker 9: on your credit that you're responsible for. So that's where
- 4:24Speaker 9: that question comes into play. So when you're constantly paying...
- 4:28Speaker 9: To one specific place, we have to ask questions. Yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 9: the letter of explanations are insane. I still have one
- 4:33Speaker 9: from like 15 years ago in my office that basically
- 4:37Speaker 9: is like, why do you want to buy another house
- 4:40Speaker 9: and move from the one you're at? And the guy
- 4:41Speaker 9: was like, well, one, my wife hates the current house.
- 4:44Speaker 9: So happy wife, happy life. Two, it's closer to some
- 4:47Speaker 9: of our kids. It's further away from others. Um, like
- 4:50Speaker 9: it's just the funniest one that I've ever seen. I
- 4:52Speaker 9: was like, well, there you go.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well, thank you, Claudia, for listening. Thank you so much
- 4:56Speaker 4: for sharing.
- 4:56Speaker 10: That with us.
- 4:57Speaker 9: Absolutely. You guys love you guys.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Jasmine, Jasmine, good morning.
- 5:01Speaker 7: Describe your job in as little words as possible, but
- 5:05Speaker 7: be a little spooky and mysterious.
- 5:07Speaker 6: Okay. So you can see me, you can hear me
- 5:13Speaker 6: and I'm always around.
- 5:15Speaker 14: Wow.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Are you a neighbor?
- 5:21Speaker 5: You can hear me.
- 5:24Speaker 15: No.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Are you Alexa?
- 5:26Speaker 14: I am.
- 5:29Speaker 1: No.
- 5:29Speaker 16: If you want to guess one more time, you guys
- 5:31Speaker 16: can guess.
- 5:32Speaker 4: You can see me, you can hear me, and I'm
- 5:33Speaker 4: always around. You're my wife.
- 5:37Speaker 16: No, I work at a water bottling plant company and
- 5:41Speaker 16: it's always loud. You always have to look every 30
- 5:44Speaker 16: minutes for the water bottles. And, you know, like everybody's
- 5:48Speaker 16: always around.
- 5:49Speaker 10: There's always somebody watching you.
- 5:51Speaker 3: We would have probably never gotten that.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Which water company do you work for?
- 5:56Speaker 16: I work at the water bottle company in Weed, California
- 5:59Speaker 16: called Crystal Geyser.
- 6:01Speaker 13: Oh, yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Crystal Geyser all the time.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Can we get a bunch of free cases, Jasmine? Free cases?
- 6:07Speaker 17: Oh, my God.
- 6:09Speaker 16: I mean, maybe I can send you one free case
- 6:11Speaker 16: if you guys want to give me the Addy, but.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Come on, Ellie, like $ 1. 28 a bottle. You can't send
- 6:17Speaker 4: us a case?
- 6:17Speaker 5: I thought you were out on the plastic anyway.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Not yet. I'm working on it.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Oh, you're okay.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Cold plants, that's okay.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I don't know. Actually, that's what the lady said, right?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Yeah, just hot, right?
- 6:27Speaker 7: All right, Jasmine, hold on. Dylan, give her our Addie.
- 6:31Speaker 7: We have another spooky job. We have a lot of
- 6:34Speaker 7: interesting people who have careers that listen to our show
- 6:37Speaker 7: that are just interesting.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Nora, good morning.
- 6:39Speaker 6: I get full of red stuff in my hands daily,
- 6:43Speaker 6: sometimes different colors, and I get it on me and
- 6:48Speaker 6: sometimes on people's clothes. And The cart.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Are you an art teacher?
- 6:58Speaker 5: I was going to say, like, you work at a
- 6:59Speaker 5: paint institute?
- 7:00Speaker 6: I work at a paint department in Home Depot.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I thought you were a murderer. I didn't get to
- 7:07Speaker 4: guess first.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Different colors.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Paint department in Home Depot. What's the number one paint
- 7:12Speaker 7: color right now, Nora?
- 7:13Speaker 6: The number one paint color for bear. It's a bear product.
- 7:19Speaker 6: Trending right now. And it's called Blue Moon Bay.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Ooh, that sounds pretty good. Well, Nora, thank you for listening.
- 7:29Speaker 6: Okay, thank you so much.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Bye, have a great time. Have a great day. Have
- 7:32Speaker 4: a great time at work.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 7:35Speaker 7: I guess we can sprinkle this in all morning long.
- 7:37Speaker 7: You know, share with us your job, your job description,
- 7:41Speaker 7: but make it scary and spooky and use as little
- 7:44Speaker 7: words as possible and we'll guess.
- 7:46Speaker 3: 877-937-1047.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I'd risk it. Hey, what's the vibe for horoscopes today?
- 8:00Speaker 13: Mercury retrograde is officially back and apparently Halloween wasn't going
- 8:03Speaker 13: to be scary enough for us. So I'm going to
- 8:05Speaker 13: tell you what kind of chaos your side needs to
- 8:08Speaker 13: look out for. If it's your birthday today, you are
- 8:10Speaker 13: a Scorpio and you share a birthday with Mariah, the scientist.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Jake Shane, Alonzo Ball, and Theodore Roosevelt.
- 8:16Speaker 13: Okay, I'm just going to get started with Scorpio since
- 8:19Speaker 13: we are in Scorpio season. So if you are Scorpio,
- 8:22Speaker 13: we all know it's your season and Mercury is retrograde
- 8:26Speaker 13: in your sign. You guys are about to feel the
- 8:28Speaker 13: urge to send a brutally honest message that you've been
- 8:31Speaker 13: holding in for months. Write it in your notes app
- 8:33Speaker 13: first because not everyone needs a director's cut of your feelings.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Censor it a little bit and then hit send.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Okay, let's say good morning to Chanel. Chanel, what's your sign?
- 8:43Speaker 17: My sign is Sagittarius.
- 8:45Speaker 13: Okay, so Chanel, Mercury is in retrograde right now, and
- 8:49Speaker 13: something that you thought you were completely over is actually
- 8:52Speaker 13: about to start bothering you again. Maybe it's an old
- 8:54Speaker 13: friendship or an ex or an embarrassing thing you did
- 8:57Speaker 13: at a party six years ago, but just stop giving
- 8:59Speaker 13: yourself the ick.
- 9:00Speaker 5: It hasn't happened yet. Face that problem when it comes
- 9:03Speaker 5: to you.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Okay, sounds good. I'm ready for it.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Yay, I love that you're prepared.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Thanks, Chanel. Have a great day.
- 9:08Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 9:09Speaker 18: Thank you so much.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Have a good one.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Angie, good morning. What's your sign?
- 9:13Speaker 15: Good morning.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It's Leo.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Oh, just like me, Angie. Okay, us Leos.
- 9:18Speaker 13: Now that Mercury is back in retrograde, things at home
- 9:21Speaker 13: are about to get a little tense for us. Our
- 9:23Speaker 13: roommate or maybe even our partner has been doing something
- 9:26Speaker 13: that drives us insane. And that one dirty dish might
- 9:30Speaker 13: finally send us over the edge. But don't let dishes
- 9:33Speaker 13: end our relationship. We need to communicate when we are
- 9:35Speaker 13: feeling upset. They are not mind readers.
- 9:38Speaker 19: I agree.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 13: I'm like, except for I tell my husband right now
- 9:42Speaker 13: he's having a hard time sleeping at night. And so
- 9:44Speaker 13: he'll tell me that he is having a hard time
- 9:47Speaker 13: sleeping while I'm asleep and I'm about.
- 9:49Speaker 4: To lose it.
- 9:50Speaker 11: So you're just making me have a hard time sleeping?
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah, don't wake me up.
- 9:53Speaker 13: I literally, literally this morning I asked him, I was like,
- 9:57Speaker 13: why are you doing this to me?
- 10:00Speaker 5: Why are you doing this to me?
- 10:02Speaker 10: I agree.
- 10:02Speaker 20: Yeah, my husband can be kind of on my edge
- 10:05Speaker 20: a little bit every now and then.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 10:07Speaker 5: At least you can relate.
- 10:08Speaker 4: All right, Angie, have a great day. Kate, good morning.
- 10:11Speaker 4: What's your sign?
- 10:12Speaker 19: I'm a Libra.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Okay, Libras. Okay, Kyle is a Libra, too.
- 10:17Speaker 13: We all know that your birthday season is over, but
- 10:18Speaker 13: now that Mercury is in retrograde, it is time to
- 10:21Speaker 13: look at the damage. You were over there swiping your
- 10:24Speaker 13: credit card like you had some random trust fund. Those
- 10:26Speaker 13: pending charges, they are hitting your bank account, and the
- 10:29Speaker 13: scariest thing that you'll see this Halloween is checking that
- 10:33Speaker 13: bank statement.
- 10:33Speaker 5: It is not pretty.
- 10:34Speaker 11: I don't like that.
- 10:35Speaker 13: You guys kind of had a similar reading last week,
- 10:37Speaker 13: and I'm telling you, it is time to get those
- 10:39Speaker 13: pockets right.
- 10:40Speaker 11: I know, but like we had to buy Halloween stuff.
- 10:42Speaker 5: But you didn't. That's the thing. You didn't have to.
- 10:48Speaker 13: Rich is our Pisces in the room. Pisces, Mercury Retrograde
- 10:52Speaker 13: is coming for your travel plans. Double check your flights,
- 10:55Speaker 13: your hotel reservations, and your Halloween party tickets because you're
- 10:59Speaker 13: exactly the person who would show up to the airport
- 11:01Speaker 13: on the wrong day. Being spontaneous is cute. Being stranded
- 11:04Speaker 13: is not.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 11:05Speaker 14: Ooh.
- 11:06Speaker 5: So yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I felt like we just had this mercury and retrograde
- 11:09Speaker 3: thing like recently.
- 11:10Speaker 1: No.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 11:12Speaker 5: We're here till like early November.
- 11:14Speaker 13: So things are going to be a little rocky for the.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Next couple of weeks.
- 11:18Speaker 4: How about Virgo? Wrap up with Virgo.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Yeah, John Jay. Virgos.
- 11:23Speaker 13: Double check who you're texting because Mercury Retrograde is coming
- 11:27Speaker 13: for your communication skills. That screenshot of somebody's embarrassing Halloween
- 11:31Speaker 13: costume is going to go directly to them on accident.
- 11:34Speaker 13: There is no unsending that humiliation. So make sure you
- 11:38Speaker 13: are double, triple, quadruple checking.
- 11:40Speaker 4: That's good advice. Thank you. Thank you for that.
- 11:43Speaker 7: If you didn't get your sign read, they're all posted
- 11:46Speaker 7: right now on our website, johnjainrich.com.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Yeah, y'all know what it is.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Katy Perry.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Juicy J.
- 12:01Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich.
- 12:02Speaker 7: A possible gem happened. I thought I heard a woman
- 12:06Speaker 7: who said witchcraft. I thought she said richcraft.
- 12:10Speaker 14: My aunt, she does witchcraft.
- 12:13Speaker 4: We don't need Lady the Witch. We got witchcraft.
- 12:15Speaker 11: That's right. You're done.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Got a curse?
- 12:17Speaker 7: Witchcraft take care of it. When people call up and
- 12:19Speaker 7: are cursed, you get rid of the curse by a what, guys?
- 12:22Speaker 11: Like a loud whoosh?
- 12:25Speaker 7: It should be a clip of Gladys Knight. Get rid
- 12:29Speaker 7: of her curse, Rich.
- 12:30Speaker 3: On the midnight train to Georgia.
- 12:33Speaker 4: You're free.
- 12:33Speaker 5: You're free.
- 12:34Speaker 7: You call the radio show with the situation you're in,
- 12:37Speaker 7: whether it's cursed, no curse, and then Rich is going
- 12:40Speaker 7: to put his spin on it.
- 12:41Speaker 4: He's got rich craft.
- 12:43Speaker 3: I'm supposed to go up in my house, but I
- 12:46Speaker 3: ain't had that shit.
- 12:48Speaker 17: Give me a chance.
- 12:49Speaker 21: When we end up in the dead air, it's magic.
- 12:54Speaker 21: It's not witchcraft. It's rich craft. He'll tear you the
- 13:00Speaker 21: f * * * up.
- 13:05Speaker 7: Rich craft let's test it out lindsey good morning welcome
- 13:08Speaker 7: to rich craft what's your.
- 13:09Speaker 17: Situation every time i bring a guy home something totally
- 13:14Speaker 17: humiliating happens every time like what one of the guys
- 13:18Speaker 17: that stuck in my bathroom for like 45 minutes stuck
- 13:21Speaker 17: like we could not get him out um on another
- 13:24Speaker 17: occasion there was a gentleman whose pants ripped in my
- 13:28Speaker 17: living room and it was really embarrassing and not cute
- 13:33Speaker 17: and awkward. There was another fellow who my Roomba attacked him.
- 13:37Speaker 14: It's so bizarre.
- 13:41Speaker 17: I don't know if my house is trying to protect me,
- 13:44Speaker 17: but I don't need it.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Okay. You ready to do some witchcraft? What do you got?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well, you got to reverse this. We got to
- 13:50Speaker 3: turn this curse around.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It's rich craft. That crazy rich craft.
- 14:01Speaker 3: So how do we turn things around? Every walk that
- 14:05Speaker 3: you do into a room is a curse, right? So
- 14:08Speaker 3: for the next week. Week and a half. You can
- 14:11Speaker 3: only walk backwards through your house. All backwards walking is
- 14:14Speaker 3: going to reverse the curse. You have been Rich Craft.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I thought that feels good.
- 14:27Speaker 7: That's Gladys Knight, you guys. That's Gladys Knight. Midnight train
- 14:31Speaker 7: to Georgia.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:32Speaker 3: You know I met Gladys Knight once.
- 14:35Speaker 4: All right, Lindsay, do you have any more questions for Rich?
- 14:38Speaker 17: What if I start bumping into things and getting stuck
- 14:41Speaker 17: and hitting my Roomba because I'm walking backwards?
- 14:43Speaker 3: No, no. It's like a lesser curse will happen. I
- 14:46Speaker 3: can put a curse on you that breaks all the
- 14:48Speaker 3: other curses so that not only– Do you have a
- 14:52Speaker 3: lesser curse? It's just sort of kind of annoyance. And
- 14:54Speaker 3: what I wish upon you is that your fitted sheets
- 14:57Speaker 3: always pop up on you in the middle of the night,
- 14:59Speaker 3: and that's it. So that's like a minor inconvenience, but
- 15:03Speaker 3: it's not a hellscape for you.
- 15:05Speaker 17: That one sucks, but it's still bad. I'm sorry.
- 15:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry you asked for it.
- 15:08Speaker 13: I'll exchange.
- 15:09Speaker 7: All right, Lindsay, hold on the line, and thank you
- 15:11Speaker 7: for calling in. Rich, here's a text right now for
- 15:14Speaker 7: Rich Craft. Rich, my boyfriend won't text me back.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah, well, that's a problem. Because I can stir the
- 15:23Speaker 3: cauldron here, and we can get him a little thing.
- 15:26Speaker 3: What we're going to do is we're going to make
- 15:28Speaker 3: him gay for just one day. Just one day.
- 15:32Speaker 21: Midnight train to Georgia. Midnight train.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Give me a chance.
- 15:37Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Okay, there you go. There you go.
- 15:39Speaker 3: All right.
- 15:39Speaker 5: He might like it and not want to come back.
- 15:41Speaker 22: Well, that is.
- 15:42Speaker 11: The heart of the question.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It's Rich Craft, that crazy Rich Craft.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Rich, will I meet the love of my life?
- 15:55Speaker 3: Okay, let me look into the future here. Yes, but
- 15:59Speaker 3: first you're going to meet three people named Brad, get
- 16:02Speaker 3: ghosted by a guy wearing Crocs, and contract something that
- 16:06Speaker 3: you should probably get checked. A couple of days of
- 16:09Speaker 3: penicillin will take care of that.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Frank, go ahead. You're on the air. You can talk
- 16:17Speaker 4: to Rich. What's your Rich craft?
- 16:19Speaker 10: Yeah, so I think I'm cursed because every time I
- 16:23Speaker 10: buy something nice for myself, I immediately break it. Like,
- 16:27Speaker 10: not even a week. Like, I bought myself a beautiful
- 16:30Speaker 10: new TV, fell over, broke two days later.
- 16:34Speaker 22: Like, I bought myself a.
- 16:35Speaker 10: Nice, expensive watch, strap broke when I was outside, went
- 16:39Speaker 10: down a gutter hole. Like, it is.
- 16:42Speaker 3: It is ridiculous.
- 16:44Speaker 10: And yeah, I just I think I'm.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Cursed, guys.
- 16:46Speaker 3: What we're going to do is we're going to reverse
- 16:48Speaker 3: the curse because I can't take away all of the curses.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I'm not that powerful, but I can put a lesser
- 16:53Speaker 3: curse on you that will annoy you for a long time.
- 16:56Speaker 3: But the heavier curses, those will go away. So for you,
- 17:00Speaker 3: every time you buy avocados now, they're going to go
- 17:02Speaker 3: from rock hard to totally mushy right away within a day.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Within a day. That's your curse. You've got the avocado curse.
- 17:07Speaker 4: It happens to me when I see myself in the
- 17:09Speaker 4: mirror with the shirt off.
- 17:10Speaker 10: I'm sorry.
- 17:11Speaker 3: I can't take it back. You can either choose that
- 17:13Speaker 3: or you can be the guy that socks always slip
- 17:15Speaker 3: underneath the shoe when you don't expect it. So the
- 17:17Speaker 3: avocado curse or the sock curse? You take your pick.
- 17:21Speaker 10: You know, let's go avocado curse.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Avocado curse. I'm sorry. You have been rich-crafted.
- 17:28Speaker 21: Midnight train to Georgia.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Give me a chance.
- 17:34Speaker 4: That's rich craft. Thanks, Frank.
- 17:36Speaker 7: If you have a curse. or you want to curse someone,
- 17:39Speaker 7: call us at 877-937-1047. It's Rich Craft.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That crazy Rich Craft.
- 17:50Speaker 10: Woke up with a new day.
- 17:53Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich are live on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information
- 17:59Speaker 7: to share with you, and Rich has life hacks. Gen
- 18:03Speaker 7: Z job hunters are getting help from their parents... with
- 18:07Speaker 7: everything from resumes and networking to interview prep, which can
- 18:10Speaker 7: be helpful right up until the time your mom starts
- 18:12Speaker 7: talking to the.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Employer for you.
- 18:13Speaker 11: Yeah, don't want to do that.
- 18:14Speaker 23: Yeah, no.
- 18:16Speaker 7: A 45-year-old candidate for lieutenant governor in Iowa is being
- 18:20Speaker 7: sued by his own parents for unpaid rent. They say
- 18:23Speaker 7: he owes him $ 275, 000. Good Lord.
- 18:27Speaker 3: How many years has he not been paying them back rent?
- 18:30Speaker 4: That's crazy, right? But obviously, his parents don't want him
- 18:32Speaker 4: to run for office or something.
- 18:33Speaker 7: Tacoma, Washington set up those speed cameras, and they caught
- 18:37Speaker 7: over 400,000 speeders in the first month.
- 18:41Speaker 4: That's a lot of tickets.
- 18:42Speaker 11: A lot of speeders.
- 18:44Speaker 7: The city says they don't have the ability to cite
- 18:46Speaker 7: that many people.
- 18:47Speaker 3: So they're just throwing that money right down the drain.
- 18:50Speaker 7: This falls under the category of food news, kind of.
- 18:53Speaker 7: And I think this is kind of big news, but
- 18:54Speaker 7: Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC, officially dumped Pepsi last week and
- 18:58Speaker 7: switched to Coke.
- 18:58Speaker 22: Really?
- 18:59Speaker 3: I think that's a big deal. I thought Pepsi owned KFC.
- 19:02Speaker 7: Taco Bell, by the way, is sticking with Pepsi, so
- 19:05Speaker 7: your Mountain Dew Baja Blast is safe.
- 19:06Speaker 4: I think they're all owned by the same people.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Speaking of Taco Bell.
- 19:08Speaker 5: No, that's actually such a bummer, though. What, Rich, about
- 19:11Speaker 5: Taco Bell?
- 19:12Speaker 3: My kid Christopher just got hired at Taco Bell, his
- 19:14Speaker 3: first gig.
- 19:14Speaker 13: Oh, he needs to bring in Taco Bell.
- 19:17Speaker 11: Congrats, Steve.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Easy.
- 19:20Speaker 7: Domino's just announced that they're launching six collectible Minecraft-themed pizza
- 19:24Speaker 7: boxes to pair with their new square pizza option.
- 19:27Speaker 4: That's good.
- 19:28Speaker 7: I brought this up yesterday, briefly, but the Ford Maverick,
- 19:31Speaker 7: Ford Maverick owners are reporting that their cars are starting
- 19:35Speaker 7: randomly without a driver's inside.
- 19:38Speaker 4: My friend Chris has one of those, and he says, yes,
- 19:40Speaker 4: it happens to him quite a bit.
- 19:41Speaker 11: That is scary. That is very terrifying.
- 19:44Speaker 3: It's dangerous if that's in a garage. That's real dangerous.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Do you guys ever, do you remember they hit the
- 19:52Speaker 4: 1980s hit Mickey?
- 19:53Speaker 3: Of course. Tony Basil.
- 19:55Speaker 11: Oh, Mickey, you're so fine. You're so fine.
- 19:57Speaker 5: You blow my mind.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Hey, Mickey.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Hey, Mickey.
- 19:59Speaker 4: She was dressed as a high school cheerleader in the video.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:02Speaker 4: She's 83 now. Oh, my God.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 20:06Speaker 13: I was going to say, I feel like the only
- 20:08Speaker 13: reason I know that song is because it's like in
- 20:10Speaker 13: all the bring it ons.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 5: So that's crazy. I didn't know it was.
- 20:13Speaker 10: The music video.
- 20:14Speaker 4: She's 83.
- 20:14Speaker 3: You just totally blew my mind right there.
- 20:17Speaker 6: I know.
- 20:17Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 20:18Speaker 13: Wow.
- 20:19Speaker 7: The guy who invented the Keurig K-Cup coffee system sold
- 20:23Speaker 7: his stake in the company for $ 50, 000 in 1997.
- 20:26Speaker 24: Wow.
- 20:28Speaker 7: Now, we talked about this recently on one of our
- 20:30Speaker 7: podcasts about how plastic is all in these things and
- 20:33Speaker 7: how unhealthy they are for you. He says he regrets
- 20:35Speaker 7: inventing it in the first place because those little cups
- 20:38Speaker 7: are terrible for the environment and the machines are way
- 20:40Speaker 7: too expensive and it's filling everybody with microplastics.
- 20:44Speaker 12: I thought he was going to regret selling it for
- 20:45Speaker 12: only $ 50, 000 because it's probably worth way more now.
- 20:49Speaker 4: In pet news, this is interesting for pets.
- 20:51Speaker 7: A two-year-old cat named Rolo just got an emergency blood
- 20:54Speaker 7: transfusion from an unusual donor. It was a four-year-old cocker spaniel.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 20:59Speaker 7: Rolo was critically ill. There was no feline blood available.
- 21:02Speaker 7: So the veterinarian used some blood from her own dog
- 21:04Speaker 7: as a one-time emergency treatment.
- 21:06Speaker 4: And it worked.
- 21:07Speaker 11: Oh my gosh.
- 21:08Speaker 4: I would think that wouldn't work, but it worked.
- 21:11Speaker 7: I saw a fun article on some artists that are everywhere.
- 21:15Speaker 7: There's a time where you see these artists everywhere. And
- 21:17Speaker 7: then all of a sudden they're gone. It's a list
- 21:19Speaker 7: of artists that are just gone. And it's pretty, when
- 21:23Speaker 7: I bring it up to you, you're going to go,
- 21:24Speaker 7: oh yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 5: Like Owl City.
- 21:26Speaker 3: That's a great one.
- 21:27Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 3: What happened to Owl City?
- 21:29Speaker 7: Well, I don't remember seeing Owl City, but I just
- 21:32Speaker 7: remember the song everywhere. But like, for example, Fergie. Fergie
- 21:35Speaker 7: exploded when she joined Black Eyed Peas. She had a
- 21:37Speaker 7: nice solo career after that. She released her last album
- 21:40Speaker 7: in 2017 and then stepped back to raise her son
- 21:42Speaker 7: Axl and focus on investments.
- 21:43Speaker 4: You don't really see Fergie anywhere ever again.
- 21:45Speaker 13: I don't think that like the national anthem thing did
- 21:48Speaker 13: anything good for her.
- 21:49Speaker 3: That's because that's what you see the most.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 3: You don't see Boom Boom Pow as much as you
- 21:53Speaker 3: do the national anthem.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Iggy Azalea.
- 21:55Speaker 7: She sold her music catalog in 2022 to concentrate on
- 21:57Speaker 7: business ventures. She said, quote, I feel more passionately about
- 22:00Speaker 7: design and creative direction than I do about songwriting.
- 22:02Speaker 5: That be the acting.
- 22:03Speaker 9: Although she recently announced she's.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Got new music, but she also was everywhere.
- 22:10Speaker 13: Well, yeah, but she was, like, dating Playboi Carti, and
- 22:12Speaker 13: then there was a whole Swaggy P thing, and then
- 22:14Speaker 13: I Got Ice in My Veins, and the whole thing.
- 22:16Speaker 4: What about Psy?
- 22:17Speaker 3: Dang him, Psy.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh, yeah.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 12: Everywhere.
- 22:19Speaker 3: But we needed him to come.
- 22:21Speaker 7: He was never able to replicate that success. He's still
- 22:24Speaker 7: releasing music and running his own label in South Korea.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Do you remember our big controversy with him?
- 22:28Speaker 4: I do remember that.
- 22:29Speaker 11: What was that?
- 22:29Speaker 3: We did an interview with him, and did we do
- 22:32Speaker 3: the wrap it up thing with him? It was pretty funny.
- 22:34Speaker 3: But we'd go, wrap it up, wrap it up.
- 22:35Speaker 4: And they told us not to air it.
- 22:36Speaker 3: And he thought it was terrible. He didn't like it,
- 22:38Speaker 3: and he told us never to air it.
- 22:39Speaker 7: Vitamin C had a smash in 1999 with Graduation. After
- 22:42Speaker 7: kicking around a few more years, she went behind the
- 22:44Speaker 7: scenes working as a music executive for Nickelodeon.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Now she works for Netflix.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 22:48Speaker 4: And this is a big one. Go TA.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Go TA.
- 22:55Speaker 4: He had a number one hit with Somebody I.
- 22:57Speaker 7: Used to Know in 2011 and swept the Grammys in 2013,
- 23:00Speaker 7: then nothing. In 2017, he said, quote, I'm not interested
- 23:06Speaker 7: in selling my music.
- 23:07Speaker 13: And honestly, though, what's crazy is I am shocked that
- 23:10Speaker 13: Dochi's anxiety that they didn't do like a remix or
- 23:15Speaker 13: like a something like that. Because anxiety, I mean, you
- 23:18Speaker 13: listen to that and you think it's somebody.
- 23:19Speaker 5: I used to know.
- 23:20Speaker 11: It sounds like he's over it. It's the whole music industry.
- 23:22Speaker 4: He wants to be someone we don't know anymore. Rich,
- 23:25Speaker 4: what do you got for life hacks?
- 23:26Speaker 3: Okay, so when you light your jack-o'-lantern on fire on
- 23:30Speaker 3: Halloween night, here's something that's kind of fun, a little
- 23:33Speaker 3: life hack. Sprinkle some cinnamon or pumpkin spice spice on
- 23:37Speaker 3: the inside of your carved pumpkin. Then when you either
- 23:40Speaker 3: use a battery-powered candle or a real candle, it heats
- 23:44Speaker 3: it up a little bit, and your porch is going
- 23:46Speaker 3: to smell fantastic. So instead of that kind of gross
- 23:49Speaker 3: pumpkin smell that we all know very much because our
- 23:52Speaker 3: pumpkins are probably a few weeks old, it's going to
- 23:54Speaker 3: smell like pie. On your patio.
- 23:56Speaker 11: That smells good.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Kind of nice, huh? That life hack and many more
- 23:59Speaker 3: can be found at johnjanerich.com.
- 24:00Speaker 4: All right, we're getting ready for second date update. We
- 24:03Speaker 4: got Jace on the line. Good morning, Jace.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Hey, guys.
- 24:06Speaker 10: I went bar hopping with this really cool girl. Now
- 24:09Speaker 10: I'm getting ghosted. Can you help me?
- 24:11Speaker 4: Of course we can help you. We want to hear
- 24:13Speaker 4: the whole story. Okay.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Second date update starts next with John Tain Rich. Time
- 24:29Speaker 7: for second date update. You meet somebody on a date.
- 24:31Speaker 7: You have a good time.
- 24:32Speaker 4: You expect there to be a second date and there
- 24:34Speaker 4: isn't one. You don't know why. So you come to
- 24:35Speaker 4: us like Jace. Jace, good morning.
- 24:38Speaker 10: Hey, good morning. Like, I'm just kind of confused because
- 24:42Speaker 10: I thought we had a great time and, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 10: went to a couple bars downtown and, you know, with
- 24:47Speaker 10: everybody celebrating, Halloween was just packed, but the vibe was,
- 24:50Speaker 10: it was like, it was really good, you know? We
- 24:52Speaker 10: were just drinking, dancing, laughing, and we hit it off. Like,
- 24:57Speaker 10: I know we did, you know? And there were a
- 25:01Speaker 10: couple weird moments, I guess. You know, as I'm thinking
- 25:04Speaker 10: about it and trying to figure out what's going on, like,
- 25:06Speaker 10: I lost her for, like, 10 minutes trying to get drinks,
- 25:09Speaker 10: and some girl I knew came up and gave me
- 25:12Speaker 10: a big hug, but nothing crazy, you know? Like, it
- 25:15Speaker 10: was friendly, and, you know, then Maddie ended up getting
- 25:19Speaker 10: pretty drunk, and I really didn't feel comfortable just sending
- 25:23Speaker 10: her home like that. You know, I didn't want her
- 25:24Speaker 10: to drive or anything. I didn't feel comfortable, so we
- 25:28Speaker 10: went back to my place, and to be clear... Perfectly clear.
- 25:32Speaker 10: Nothing happened. You know, that's not how I do things.
- 25:37Speaker 10: We didn't hook up or anything. And, you know, I just, again,
- 25:40Speaker 10: I wanted her to be safe and have some place
- 25:42Speaker 10: to sleep it off. And, you know, next morning she
- 25:45Speaker 10: woke up and everything was fine and got her some water.
- 25:48Speaker 10: She headed home and now being ignored.
- 25:52Speaker 4: And I just.
- 25:54Speaker 10: again generally no idea what i did wrong like maybe
- 25:57Speaker 10: she's embarrassed but you know she she hasn't responded to
- 26:00Speaker 10: anything so.
- 26:00Speaker 7: I don't know so she got like way drunk like
- 26:02Speaker 7: the kind of drunk where you're like hey lay down
- 26:05Speaker 7: go to sleep like puking.
- 26:07Speaker 10: Yeah it wasn't no it wasn't the point of puking
- 26:10Speaker 10: but it was at the point of like one more
- 26:12Speaker 10: drink there might be you know some praying to the
- 26:17Speaker 10: porcelain god.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Right how come your house not how can we take
- 26:21Speaker 4: her back to.
- 26:21Speaker 10: Her house Uh, first date, I didn't know where she
- 26:24Speaker 10: lived and.
- 26:25Speaker 4: I wasn't, you know.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Oh, she was, so she was that drunk.
- 26:29Speaker 10: She was, like, that drunk and, you know, and, like,
- 26:33Speaker 10: kind of falling asleep and, like, shrugging. It was, look,
- 26:36Speaker 10: it didn't turn me off or anything because everybody was
- 26:38Speaker 10: having a good time.
- 26:38Speaker 24: Okay.
- 26:39Speaker 10: You know, I know, you know.
- 26:40Speaker 7: Well, if what you say is true, then you did
- 26:42Speaker 7: the gentleman thing, I would say, right? So she's probably embarrassed, maybe.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 10: That's what I'm thinking. So I want to get her
- 26:51Speaker 10: in line and, you know, let her know that it's okay.
- 26:54Speaker 8: I've been there, you know.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Well, well. It's not a big deal.
- 26:58Speaker 3: She's not embarrassed, and you did something that upset her.
- 27:02Speaker 22: Right.
- 27:02Speaker 5: Maybe it was.
- 27:02Speaker 13: I mean, sometimes, you know, maybe she did remember the
- 27:05Speaker 13: girl hugging you up at the bar.
- 27:07Speaker 5: She's like, who is that?
- 27:07Speaker 3: I go to the bathroom for two minutes, and you're
- 27:09Speaker 3: talking to somebody else?
- 27:10Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 27:11Speaker 4: Well, let's get her on the phone.
- 27:12Speaker 10: Okay, cool.
- 27:14Speaker 4: All right, so you hang tight. We're going to get
- 27:15Speaker 4: her on the phone, and then we're going to find
- 27:17Speaker 4: out why she's blowing you off, man. All right, so
- 27:19Speaker 4: Second Aid Update continues next with John Jane Rich.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Bye.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Bye.
- 27:24Speaker 8: We're in the middle.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Of a second date update. We got Jace and Maddie.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Well, Jace and Maddie went downtown for their date. There
- 27:40Speaker 3: was laughing. There was drinking. There was dancing. But then
- 27:44Speaker 3: it got awkward because Maddie went missing for about 10 minutes.
- 27:48Speaker 3: In the middle of that, Jace met another lady that
- 27:52Speaker 3: hugged him. She saw it. And it got a little strange. However,
- 27:57Speaker 3: they talked it out. And although she was drunk, they
- 27:59Speaker 3: went back to his place. There was no loving. She
- 28:02Speaker 3: stayed over, slept off the drunk and then went home.
- 28:06Speaker 3: And there's no contact. Probably because because he's a bad
- 28:09Speaker 3: kisser is what I think.
- 28:10Speaker 4: I think something must happen in that 10 minutes.
- 28:13Speaker 7: That 10 minute window, something happened with the lizard tongue.
- 28:16Speaker 11: And it was like, maybe she woke up and she's like,
- 28:18Speaker 11: why am I in his place?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:19Speaker 14: Right.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Jace, are you ready to go?
- 28:23Speaker 10: I am ready to go.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Okay, you just stay quiet because I know she's ready
- 28:26Speaker 4: to go too. Hold on, she'll go in there. Hey, Maddie.
- 28:28Speaker 25: Hi.
- 28:30Speaker 13: Hi.
- 28:30Speaker 7: Hey, so we're calling you because this is kind of
- 28:33Speaker 7: an interesting thing. We got a call from a guy
- 28:35Speaker 7: who went on a date with you. He described the
- 28:38Speaker 7: date as pretty fun and he seemed, according to his story,
- 28:42Speaker 7: he was like a gentleman. And he says you're ghosting
- 28:45Speaker 7: him and we thought we would call you and kind
- 28:48Speaker 7: of get your version of the date with Jace.
- 28:52Speaker 17: Oh, Jace.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 17: Oh, I'm sorry, but that guy's like a serial killer
- 28:56Speaker 17: or something. I'm not even joking.
- 28:59Speaker 16: Okay.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Can you tell us why you think he's a serial killer?
- 29:03Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 17: So we went back to his place because honestly, I
- 29:07Speaker 17: just had way too much to drink and I ended
- 29:09Speaker 17: up falling asleep on his couch. And at like three
- 29:14Speaker 17: in the morning, I think I woke up because I
- 29:17Speaker 17: swear I heard a woman crying.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:20Speaker 24: Okay.
- 29:21Speaker 17: And at first I thought that it was a dream
- 29:24Speaker 17: or something, but then I heard it again and it
- 29:26Speaker 17: sounded like it was coming from downstairs. So I got
- 29:30Speaker 17: up to investigate and there's like this door leading to
- 29:33Speaker 17: his basement that has a lock on the outside. they
- 29:37Speaker 17: literally put my ear up against the door and i
- 29:40Speaker 17: could hear someone moving around down there there is literally
- 29:44Speaker 17: someone down there and i freaked out and i went
- 29:46Speaker 17: to wake him up and then he got really weird
- 29:48Speaker 17: and he told me that i need to go back
- 29:50Speaker 17: to sleep and i was like i'm sorry what And
- 29:53Speaker 17: then at that point, he got up and, like, grabbed
- 29:55Speaker 17: me some water or something, and then he went to shower.
- 29:57Speaker 17: And when he was in the shower, I was just, like,
- 30:00Speaker 17: freaked out. I just called an Uber, and I left.
- 30:03Speaker 17: It was crazy.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Oh, so if somebody's locked down there, you didn't call
- 30:07Speaker 3: the police or anything?
- 30:08Speaker 5: Right on your way home.
- 30:09Speaker 3: No, I did.
- 30:10Speaker 17: I actually did. I filed a police report because, like,
- 30:15Speaker 17: I'm convinced he's keeping somebody captive in that basement. And
- 30:19Speaker 17: when I called the police, they said they couldn't do anything.
- 30:21Speaker 17: And I was like, guys, I need you to understand, like,
- 30:24Speaker 17: I was going to end up on a true crime podcast,
- 30:27Speaker 17: and they couldn't do anything about it.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Hold up, hold up, hold up.
- 30:29Speaker 17: But I did, no, I did file a police report.
- 30:31Speaker 15: Maddie, stop.
- 30:33Speaker 10: Maddie, you're telling people I'm a serial killer? Like, are
- 30:36Speaker 10: you serious?
- 30:38Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 30:38Speaker 17: Why is he on the phone? Are you seriously going
- 30:41Speaker 17: to track me down right now? People can hear you.
- 30:43Speaker 17: They know what you're doing. What do you mean track
- 30:46Speaker 17: you down?
- 30:46Speaker 10: What are you talking about? You think I have someone
- 30:50Speaker 10: held hostage in my basement? That's crazy.
- 30:53Speaker 17: I heard a woman crying down there and the door
- 30:56Speaker 17: was locked.
- 30:58Speaker 13: Okay?
- 30:58Speaker 17: That is weird.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:00Speaker 10: That's my sister. My little sister. She's 24. She just
- 31:05Speaker 10: moved back in with me because she's getting divorced from
- 31:07Speaker 10: an absolute loser. And you know what? She's going through
- 31:10Speaker 10: a really, really tough time right now, and it just
- 31:12Speaker 10: feels awful. So that's why you heard the crying, because
- 31:15Speaker 10: she can't get over it yet, and I'm trying to
- 31:17Speaker 10: be there for her.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Wait.
- 31:18Speaker 17: So there's actually a woman living in your basement?
- 31:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 10: And it's a finished basement too. It's pretty much just
- 31:25Speaker 10: an apartment, you know? And she's been crying herself to
- 31:27Speaker 10: sleep for like two weeks because her whole life, her
- 31:30Speaker 10: whole life has just fallen apart.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Then why lock her in?
- 31:33Speaker 11: What's the lock on the outside of the door?
- 31:35Speaker 6: Because it was three in the morning.
- 31:38Speaker 8: It's three in the morning.
- 31:39Speaker 10: You were drunk and you're trying to get into my
- 31:41Speaker 10: sister's room. I didn't want her to freak out because
- 31:43Speaker 10: some random woman comes in to her private space. So
- 31:49Speaker 10: I locked it.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Is there a lock on the other side? Three in
- 31:50Speaker 5: the morning.
- 31:51Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a lock on the other side, but I
- 31:52Speaker 10: want to make sure because, again, I don't want– like,
- 31:56Speaker 10: it's Maddie's first time in my house. My sister has
- 31:58Speaker 10: no clue who it is. I don't want my sister
- 32:01Speaker 10: freaking out at 3 in the morning and, like, punching
- 32:03Speaker 10: Maddie or Maddie getting all scared because my sister's down there. Like,
- 32:08Speaker 10: I'm just trying to keep them apart because, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 10: my sister needs her privacy.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Could Maddie come over and check out the apartment in
- 32:14Speaker 3: the basement?
- 32:15Speaker 7: What about the police? She called the police. Didn't you
- 32:17Speaker 7: say you filed a police report? Are they going to
- 32:19Speaker 7: come knocking?
- 32:19Speaker 4: I did.
- 32:21Speaker 13: They probably have to do a wellness check, you know, eventually.
- 32:24Speaker 13: But if it's not like, I don't know.
- 32:28Speaker 11: I feel like we need proof.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Why would a serial killer call us for a second
- 32:33Speaker 3: date update?
- 32:34Speaker 13: If he was actually a serial killer? Well, sometimes, I mean,
- 32:36Speaker 13: they're sociopaths. So I wouldn't put it past a serial
- 32:40Speaker 13: killer to try to just mess.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I'm not a sociopath.
- 32:44Speaker 10: Look, look, guys.
- 32:45Speaker 18: I mean, you can see how I.
- 32:46Speaker 22: Is she doing.
- 32:48Speaker 3: That right now? Can we talk to her?
- 32:52Speaker 4: To my sister?
- 32:54Speaker 10: She's at work right now.
- 32:55Speaker 4: You let her out to go to work?
- 32:58Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 32:58Speaker 10: Guys, I have all sisters, okay? I was raised around
- 33:01Speaker 10: women my entire life. I would never, ever do something
- 33:04Speaker 10: like that. Like, I literally brought you home because I
- 33:07Speaker 10: didn't want you to get into an Uber by yourself
- 33:09Speaker 10: that drunk and end up. harmed or on a true
- 33:12Speaker 10: crime podcast.
- 33:13Speaker 3: You might have ended up in that basement bed didn't.
- 33:15Speaker 10: Bother you and somehow i'm a freaking serial killer why
- 33:18Speaker 10: would i bring you home well you.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Can see it through her point of view i can.
- 33:22Speaker 11: See it yeah that sounds weird i thought.
- 33:23Speaker 7: You were gonna say guys i have three sisters i
- 33:26Speaker 7: was brought up with women that's why i locked.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Her in the basement.
- 33:36Speaker 17: I mean, you can see why. Like, I genuinely thought
- 33:39Speaker 17: something bad was happening.
- 33:40Speaker 8: I'm sorry.
- 33:41Speaker 17: I literally got really scared.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess.
- 33:44Speaker 3: At 3 in the morning, too, you're in a strange place.
- 33:47Speaker 5: You hear a woman crying.
- 33:48Speaker 11: You're like, yeah.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Like, if you were having breakfast, you might go, what's
- 33:51Speaker 3: going on? Oh, that's my sister. She's staying over. Probably
- 33:53Speaker 3: no big deal. 3 in the morning. Yeah, scary.
- 33:55Speaker 10: Yeah, but she bailed out.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Also, your sister, did you not tell her you're going
- 33:59Speaker 4: out on a date? I'm going out with somebody.
- 34:02Speaker 11: Right.
- 34:02Speaker 7: I don't know if it's going to work out or not,
- 34:04Speaker 7: but I'm going to lock you in here for a while.
- 34:06Speaker 10: Okay.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Heads up. I didn't lock her in.
- 34:08Speaker 4: I locked her in.
- 34:09Speaker 3: We got home at 3 a.m.
- 34:11Speaker 26: She also, guess what?
- 34:12Speaker 10: She also has an exit from the basement downstairs.
- 34:15Speaker 22: Okay.
- 34:15Speaker 5: So she could leave.
- 34:16Speaker 10: This is just the connection.
- 34:17Speaker 7: That's so sad that she's crying two weeks later at
- 34:20Speaker 7: 3 o'clock in the morning.
- 34:21Speaker 3: About her divorce.
- 34:22Speaker 13: I mean, a divorce at 24, that's young. But good
- 34:24Speaker 13: for you, girl. I'm glad you.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Got out of that.
- 34:26Speaker 4: So Maddie, how does that make you feel? I mean,
- 34:28Speaker 4: you were drunk. Keep that in mind.
- 34:29Speaker 3: So I'm sure everything was- Filed a police report.
- 34:31Speaker 14: Right.
- 34:32Speaker 7: So I'm sure the senses were heightened a little bit.
- 34:35Speaker 7: I mean, how do you feel now?
- 34:38Speaker 17: I mean, when you put it like, you know, you
- 34:40Speaker 17: explain it, I feel pretty awful about. I mean, I
- 34:45Speaker 17: did have fun with you. I just, I completely misunderstood
- 34:48Speaker 17: what was happening. I feel bad that, you know, there
- 34:52Speaker 17: was such a big misunderstanding.
- 34:54Speaker 10: Well, I had fun too until I found out that
- 34:59Speaker 10: you think I'm the next Jeffrey Dahmer and couldn't even
- 35:02Speaker 10: like text me like, hey, there was a woman in
- 35:04Speaker 10: your basement. or anything that's a nice.
- 35:08Speaker 11: Text hey by the way in case you haven't.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Noticed there's a woman in your basement ted bundy was
- 35:14Speaker 3: fun too oh.
- 35:15Speaker 7: My gosh all right so do you want to go
- 35:18Speaker 7: out another day.
- 35:19Speaker 17: Uh i would be up for grabbing drinks uh wow
- 35:22Speaker 17: okay jace i'm good y'all i don't think we need.
- 35:26Speaker 4: To go i.
- 35:28Speaker 10: I'm not like if the communication is that bad at
- 35:31Speaker 10: the start.
- 35:31Speaker 5: Like I mean, what a story to tell at your wedding.
- 35:35Speaker 5: She thought I was a serial killer. And not crazy.
- 35:38Speaker 3: You can have your sister come up from the basement.
- 35:40Speaker 5: You tell your kid, you know, your mom used to think.
- 35:42Speaker 11: Now, just in.
- 35:43Speaker 7: Case, let's pay attention. Let's check in with Maddie in
- 35:45Speaker 7: a couple days, make sure she's still around.
- 35:46Speaker 10: Yeah, please.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yes, we should do that.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Ridiculous.
- 35:50Speaker 7: All right, well, thank you guys for going on the
- 35:52Speaker 7: air with us. So, Jace wanted a second date. Now
- 35:56Speaker 7: Maddie says yes, Jace says no.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 35:59Speaker 7: Thank you both. That's Second Date Update, you guys, with
- 36:01Speaker 7: John Jay and Rich. Oh, second date update. Modesto, your
- 36:13Speaker 7: comments on second date update.
- 36:14Speaker 3: What's up?
- 36:14Speaker 15: What's up? How are you doing?
- 36:17Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 36:18Speaker 13: Morning.
- 36:20Speaker 4: You're on the air.
- 36:22Speaker 15: That guy, that guy, I feel my opinion.
- 36:26Speaker 23: He didn't want to put the sister on the phone
- 36:29Speaker 23: or want to go on a second date because he's
- 36:31Speaker 23: being exposed as a serial killer.
- 36:35Speaker 3: He's so cute.
- 36:35Speaker 11: You think he is. It was a little fishy.
- 36:37Speaker 1: No.
- 36:38Speaker 3: It was a little fishy.
- 36:39Speaker 8: And it is Halloween week, so, you know, he's trying
- 36:42Speaker 8: to score a kill.
- 36:44Speaker 10: Right.
- 36:44Speaker 3: I really do not get the locking the door of
- 36:47Speaker 3: the basement from the outside. You would close it just
- 36:51Speaker 3: to kind of.
- 36:52Speaker 4: Well, he didn't want the drunk girl to go. Oh,
- 36:54Speaker 4: no way. Yeah. Wait, the drunk girl would go in.
- 36:56Speaker 4: It'd be the other way around. You're keeping the person in.
- 36:58Speaker 3: If the girl doesn't want it out there, she could
- 36:59Speaker 3: lock it from her side.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Pietra, good morning. You're on the air. Second date update.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Your thoughts.
- 37:03Speaker 25: Hi. I just think it's kind of weird that it
- 37:06Speaker 25: took him so long to come up with the answer,
- 37:08Speaker 25: you know, that there's another exit. Why did it take
- 37:10Speaker 25: him that long? And why, if there's a lock on
- 37:12Speaker 25: the inside of the door, why would he put a
- 37:14Speaker 25: lock on the outside also? I just think it is
- 37:16Speaker 25: so strange.
- 37:17Speaker 3: And also, it sounds like the police never showed up.
- 37:19Speaker 3: She did a police report and they never showed up.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Well, I hope they do.
- 37:22Speaker 17: Yeah, that's horrible.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Have you noticed that, too? It's like nobody ever stopped by.
- 37:26Speaker 11: Yeah, that didn't make sense.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Thanks, Petra.
- 37:30Speaker 25: Anyways, I thought that was kind of scary because, you know,
- 37:32Speaker 25: Serial killers have great personalities sometimes, right?
- 37:35Speaker 11: That's true.
- 37:35Speaker 4: They always do.
- 37:36Speaker 9: They're very likable.
- 37:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 37:40Speaker 25: Anyways, that was all.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Bye.
- 37:42Speaker 22: Bye.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Who's this? Hello? Oh, okay. Hello.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Good morning, John Jane Rich. Who's this?
- 37:55Speaker 19: This is Robert.
- 37:59Speaker 4: What's up, Robert?
- 38:02Speaker 8: Hi, I was calling about the second date update.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Yeah, go ahead.
- 38:06Speaker 3: You're on the air. He didn't have a comment. He
- 38:12Speaker 3: was just.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Calling about it.
- 38:16Speaker 8: He didn't bring up that that's his sister and the
- 38:20Speaker 8: situation she's going through at that point.
- 38:22Speaker 23: If anything, it's a miscommunication on his part more than hers.
- 38:29Speaker 4: It's a miscommunication on his part.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 38:33Speaker 4: At best.
- 38:33Speaker 22: So I don't.
- 38:36Speaker 24: Know.
- 38:36Speaker 8: That's a little weird to me, but to each their own,
- 38:39Speaker 8: I suppose.
- 38:40Speaker 4: It is weird.
- 38:40Speaker 7: And we're going to kind of get into that right now.
- 38:42Speaker 7: Kind of about like miscommunication. Like when did you get
- 38:44Speaker 7: it totally wrong? And it happened yesterday on TV.
- 38:48Speaker 12: Yeah, it was on the Today Show. Craig Melvin was
- 38:50Speaker 12: interviewing Parker Posey and was talking about like her upcoming movies.
- 38:55Speaker 12: Like there's a movie called Sleepover that is a horror film.
- 39:01Speaker 12: But apparently he didn't say it where she heard it
- 39:03Speaker 12: in that way.
- 39:04Speaker 4: We got to talk.
- 39:06Speaker 3: No horror.
- 39:10Speaker 11: I thought you called me a.
- 39:12Speaker 21: I did not call you a.
- 39:16Speaker 5: Horror.
- 39:17Speaker 4: I did not enunciate.
- 39:18Speaker 5: Horror.
- 39:19Speaker 10: Okay.
- 39:21Speaker 3: She's my favorite.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Can we not say that word on the radio?
- 39:24Speaker 3: I think you can, as long as you don't mention
- 39:25Speaker 3: a brand name.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Oh, okay. It was bleeped. I was like, wow.
- 39:28Speaker 6: They bleeped it.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 39:31Speaker 7: Anyways, we want to know, when did you get totally wrong? Taylor,
- 39:34Speaker 7: when did you get it totally wrong? What was the story?
- 39:35Speaker 19: Hey, good morning, you guys. So when I saw it,
- 39:41Speaker 19: when y'all saw it or put this on Facebook, I
- 39:44Speaker 19: seriously chuckled inside. And it sparked this memory. I was
- 39:51Speaker 19: probably early teens with my best friend and my, our
- 39:55Speaker 19: dads were best friends too. So we're all at lunch
- 39:58Speaker 19: one day and we're sitting at the booth. My dad
- 40:01Speaker 19: looks at me and he's like, Hey, did you call
- 40:04Speaker 19: your mom and tell her that we're here? And I
- 40:06Speaker 19: was like, yeah, I did. And then right as I turn,
- 40:10Speaker 19: my friend looks at me, she goes, no, I did.
- 40:13Speaker 19: I was like, no.
- 40:14Speaker 14: I did.
- 40:15Speaker 19: And we kept going back and forth and I'm talking like,
- 40:19Speaker 19: Young teenagers getting really upset. We were screaming at each other.
- 40:22Speaker 14: Over the table.
- 40:24Speaker 15: Both of our dads are.
- 40:25Speaker 19: Looking at what is going on. We're starting to cry.
- 40:27Speaker 19: And then I just eventually, 20 minutes later, I'm like,
- 40:31Speaker 19: why would I have you call my mom? And she's like,
- 40:35Speaker 19: what are you talking about?
- 40:36Speaker 14: I was saying, I let the dog out.
- 40:38Speaker 19: So apparently, when my dad asked me if I called
- 40:42Speaker 19: my mom, her dad asked her if she let the
- 40:45Speaker 19: dog out.
- 40:46Speaker 4: We were screaming.
- 40:48Speaker 3: And you were like throwing forks at each other? In
- 40:51Speaker 3: a restaurant.
- 40:52Speaker 11: You got it wrong. That's definitely getting it wrong.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Thanks, Taylor.
- 40:58Speaker 10: Bye, guys.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Love y'all.
- 40:59Speaker 7: There's a text here, I think, that explains the whole
- 41:02Speaker 7: lock on the door for second date. Makes perfect sense now.
- 41:06Speaker 7: The person says, it sounds like he had a lock
- 41:09Speaker 7: on the inside. Because he could rent that basement out
- 41:12Speaker 7: since there was another exit and doesn't want to let
- 41:14Speaker 7: whoever is renting the basement be able to.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Come inside his house.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Well, that makes sense.
- 41:18Speaker 4: That does make sense. That does make sense.
- 41:20Speaker 11: He should have said that.
- 41:21Speaker 14: Right.
- 41:22Speaker 13: I think the thing is he took too long to
- 41:24Speaker 13: like tell us what was going on down there.
- 41:28Speaker 11: It was like he was processing how do I cover
- 41:30Speaker 11: this up almost.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:32Speaker 3: And it doesn't mean he's a serial killer. No. He
- 41:34Speaker 3: could just be keeping a hostage alive.
- 41:36Speaker 11: And it could be totally innocent at the same time.
- 41:38Speaker 12: It was just the way it came out seemed a
- 41:40Speaker 12: little suspicious.
- 41:42Speaker 4: I am having a Mercury in retrograde day today. Is
- 41:46Speaker 4: it official? Is Mercury in retrograde today?
- 41:48Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 41:49Speaker 3: It is?
- 41:49Speaker 4: Did it start today?
- 41:50Speaker 13: It started in the middle, I think on the 24th
- 41:53Speaker 13: over the weekend.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Okay. So my phone stopped working in the middle of
- 41:57Speaker 4: this morning.
- 41:58Speaker 3: You and electronics aren't always in synchronicity.
- 42:00Speaker 7: That stopped working. I was driving into work today. I
- 42:03Speaker 7: missed my turn, right? Then my key card didn't work
- 42:06Speaker 7: to get in. Then I was getting coffee just now,
- 42:08Speaker 7: and the coffee, like, it came out of two spots. Like,
- 42:11Speaker 7: it missed my cup. It missed the cup?
- 42:15Speaker 4: Yeah, man. I had to do it, like, twice. I
- 42:16Speaker 4: had to juggle the cup back and forth to fill
- 42:18Speaker 4: it in. I mean, it's like, it's very strange.
- 42:21Speaker 12: That does seem like, I mean, because you don't, you
- 42:24Speaker 12: do that every day. It's not like you don't know
- 42:25Speaker 12: how to use the coffee machine.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I know.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It's weird.
- 42:27Speaker 7: And then I came in this morning to tell Rich,
- 42:29Speaker 7: and then Rich was like, Mercury's in retrograde.
- 42:31Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, man, I never really believed in that
- 42:33Speaker 4: stuff until right now.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Until it's affecting you?
- 42:35Speaker 3: I remember somebody, there was somebody on this show. It
- 42:38Speaker 3: might have been Alison DuBois. It says when Mercury's in retrograde,
- 42:41Speaker 3: if you have little signs like that, don't do things
- 42:45Speaker 3: like buy a car or make any big purchases. Just
- 42:49Speaker 3: wait for it to go. Wait for it to go
- 42:50Speaker 3: because the contracts will get all screwed up, whatever it
- 42:53Speaker 3: is that you have to deal with.
- 42:54Speaker 11: Unless you buy a car, it's going to end up
- 42:55Speaker 11: being a lemon.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, something like that.
- 42:58Speaker 4: I wake up.
- 42:59Speaker 7: At like two 45, three o'clock in the morning. So
- 43:01Speaker 7: I tried to do a little bit of a stretch
- 43:02Speaker 7: workout before I come in. And this morning my wife
- 43:06Speaker 7: woke up too. And when I went downstairs and I
- 43:09Speaker 7: go get in the hot tub, I do my routine
- 43:11Speaker 7: and I go get sit in the hot tub and stretch.
- 43:12Speaker 4: And she was in the hot tub and she was
- 43:14Speaker 4: like very emotional. And that's how it's, I was like, wow,
- 43:17Speaker 4: you know, like something's not right.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:19Speaker 7: And so for her, she got a lot on her mind.
- 43:21Speaker 7: One of the things on her mind is get this.
- 43:24Speaker 7: So this is our ninth annual Love Pup Family Fest.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Every year I always tell you guys, I don't want
- 43:29Speaker 4: to do it anymore.
- 43:29Speaker 24: Right.
- 43:30Speaker 11: Every year without fail.
- 43:32Speaker 7: Because it's so stressful for her. So that's what's going
- 43:36Speaker 7: on right now. She's stressed out for Love Pup Family Fest,
- 43:39Speaker 7: hoping that people will come. Of course, obviously. It's a
- 43:42Speaker 7: free show with Gavin DeGraw. It's November 7th at Vertuccio Farms.
- 43:46Speaker 7: But this is what happened yesterday. We normally have a
- 43:51Speaker 7: lot of volunteers. And it's usually a company. You know,
- 43:53Speaker 7: company sponsors, part of the Love Pub Family Fest, and
- 43:55Speaker 7: their employees come and volunteer. We always have, for the
- 43:58Speaker 7: last nine years, 60 to 70 volunteers.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 44:02Speaker 4: She finds out yesterday we only have five.
- 44:04Speaker 11: Oh, that's not going to work.
- 44:05Speaker 7: We only have five volunteers. And she's beside her. This morning,
- 44:10Speaker 7: she had her hands over her face in the hot
- 44:12Speaker 7: tub crying.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Oh, my boy.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I know.
- 44:15Speaker 7: And so I was like, hey, I'll go on the
- 44:16Speaker 7: air and see if we can find volunteers, you know?
- 44:18Speaker 7: So I put, yesterday I put a couple of posts
- 44:20Speaker 7: on Facebook. In fact, I even made, I go, I
- 44:24Speaker 7: have grok. I go, I'll make a flyer. And I said, hey,
- 44:28Speaker 7: I need to make a fun flyer looking for volunteers.
- 44:30Speaker 7: And I showed her a flyer and she's like, that
- 44:31Speaker 7: looks like a baby shower announcement. And I'm like, whatever,
- 44:35Speaker 7: it gets his volunteers.
- 44:37Speaker 4: So my thought is this.
- 44:39Speaker 7: You're listening to me right now and maybe you run
- 44:41Speaker 7: a company or you run a sorority or you run whatever,
- 44:46Speaker 7: What a great camaraderie thing to have your employees and
- 44:48Speaker 7: your staff come and work the Love Pup Family Fest event.
- 44:52Speaker 4: We need 60 volunteers.
- 44:53Speaker 7: I mean, it's from watching dogs, from security, to letting
- 44:57Speaker 7: people in, to hanging out at Gavin DeGrasse's trailer. There's
- 45:00Speaker 7: lots of jobs that we need. So do me a favor.
- 45:04Speaker 7: Shoot me a DM or go to Love Pup Family Fest.
- 45:06Speaker 7: I think if you go to Facebook, I think it's Tara.
- 45:09Speaker 7: Email Tara at Love Pup Family.
- 45:12Speaker 4: What is her?
- 45:12Speaker 3: Lovepup.org, right?
- 45:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
- 45:14Speaker 3: Is that it? I believe so.
- 45:16Speaker 5: LovePupFoundation.org.
- 45:18Speaker 4: I got to look it up.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Oh, Nick has it. Oh, you have it? What is it, Nick?
- 45:21Speaker 4: What is it?
- 45:23Speaker 17: Yeah, it's Tara at LovePupFoundation.org.
- 45:28Speaker 4: T-A-R-A.
- 45:30Speaker 3: We're right around there.
- 45:31Speaker 4: Yeah, email her, please.
- 45:32Speaker 7: Tara at LovePupFoundation.org and get your whole company involved.
- 45:35Speaker 4: We need a lot of volunteers. It's November 7th and
- 45:38Speaker 4: it's a fun thing. Brian, good morning. You're on the air.
- 45:41Speaker 4: What's up? Hey, good morning.
- 45:43Speaker 22: I was calling about the second date update. I think
- 45:48Speaker 22: I caught half of it, and I was like, is
- 45:49Speaker 22: this guy explaining his job in the least amount of
- 45:51Speaker 22: words and the spookiest as a serial killer?
- 45:55Speaker 3: Clearly. There's somebody crying downstairs. I've got to lock up
- 45:58Speaker 3: the door.
- 46:00Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 46:01Speaker 22: And then the second thing, John, you talked about your
- 46:03Speaker 22: cell phone not working or the.
- 46:06Speaker 22: Planets lighting up or whatever's going on.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I think that's.
- 46:09Speaker 22: A Virgo thing. Yes, I think that's a Virgo thing
- 46:12Speaker 22: because I have the worst luck with electronics as well.
- 46:15Speaker 4: But today specifically or just in general?
- 46:19Speaker 22: Just in general, but I mean today my phone won't
- 46:21Speaker 22: make phone calls or send text messages, but it's like
- 46:24Speaker 22: that happens to me all the time.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Dude, you know what? You're on the phone now, so
- 46:27Speaker 4: it's working.
- 46:29Speaker 22: Yes, it is, but I'm surprised it hasn't dropped the
- 46:32Speaker 22: call or just ended it.
- 46:33Speaker 3: With no reason.
- 46:35Speaker 7: Yeah, like mine's now... My phone, I can text, but
- 46:38Speaker 7: I can't get on Instagram. I can't get on YouTube.
- 46:40Speaker 7: I can't get on Pornhub.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Oh, well, that's so sad.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So sad.
- 46:46Speaker 5: Well, November 13th.
- 46:47Speaker 22: Maybe it was that Chinese hack.
- 46:49Speaker 5: Mercury's out of retrograde, so you only have a couple.
- 46:52Speaker 5: November 13th.
- 46:52Speaker 4: That's a long time away.
- 46:54Speaker 3: I know. A lot could go wrong.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Only a couple more weeks.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Brian, thanks for calling in, dog. We'll be posting.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah, see you guys.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Hey, we need a contestant. We're going to play Minute
- 47:03Speaker 4: to Win at 877-937-1047.
- 47:04Speaker 7: Yeah, let's turn this day around. Let's give away $ 1, 000.
- 47:06Speaker 7: Let's say hi to Mackenzie.
- 47:08Speaker 4: What's up, Mackenzie?
- 47:10Speaker 18: Hey, I had a.
- 47:11Speaker 24: Couple things I wanted to add. One, you are completely valid,
- 47:13Speaker 24: John Jay. This week is absolutely insane. As a teacher,
- 47:17Speaker 24: it was also full moon yesterday. It's also Red Ribbon Week.
- 47:21Speaker 24: It's also Halloween Week. So it's absolutely insane. And two...
- 47:26Speaker 24: I know you guys have kids. If you reach out
- 47:29Speaker 24: to the school, to teachers, parents, anyone at the school,
- 47:33Speaker 24: people will come running to volunteer with animals absolutely 100%
- 47:38Speaker 24: of the time.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Oh, what a good idea. Like the elementary schools or wherever.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Like that, you mean?
- 47:44Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:45Speaker 24: And I'll definitely send an email out to my staff
- 47:47Speaker 24: today and be like, hey, Love Pup, as usual, is
- 47:50Speaker 24: doing their annual thing. They would love some volunteers.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Oh, McKenzie, that'd be so nice.
- 47:56Speaker 4: That'd be so nice of you.
- 47:57Speaker 24: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Thank you very much, Mackenzie. Yeah, thank you. Have a
- 48:02Speaker 4: great day, Mackenzie.
- 48:02Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 48:03Speaker 24: I listen to you guys every day.
- 48:04Speaker 13: You too.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Thanks. Okay, bye. That's a good idea.
- 48:07Speaker 7: Yeah, so Love Pub Family Fest, November 7th, for Tuchel
- 48:10Speaker 7: Farms in Mesa.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Free show with Gavin DeGraw.
- 48:13Speaker 7: Also, Gino Plegger. He's the runner-up to the America's Got Talent.
- 48:17Speaker 7: He's the magician. He's unbelievable. And Gino, I believe, is
- 48:21Speaker 7: on his way to becoming a megastar.
- 48:23Speaker 3: Oh, for sure.
- 48:23Speaker 7: The Rich Bear Band is going to be performing. The
- 48:26Speaker 7: biggest dog rescue adoption event in the Valley. We've got
- 48:28Speaker 7: over 20 dog rescues on site. You can bring your
- 48:30Speaker 7: dogs to the event, bring your family, bring your kids,
- 48:32Speaker 7: bring everybody. Admission is free. We ask that you bring
- 48:35Speaker 7: a donation, like a dog rescue donation, like leashes, puppy pads,
- 48:38Speaker 7: dog food.
- 48:38Speaker 4: We're going to have food trucks there. Kids Zone. The
- 48:41Speaker 4: Kids Zone is great. Petting Zoo. We always say, it
- 48:44Speaker 4: says vendors. I don't understand when people say vendors. What
- 48:46Speaker 4: is that? People selling what? We should be more specific.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Well, like food trucks.
- 48:50Speaker 4: No, I say food trucks. I said food trucks, vendors. Well,
- 48:53Speaker 4: I don't know. I know we had Love Pup merch
- 48:55Speaker 4: and stuff, but anyway. JoLynn, good morning.
- 48:59Speaker 18: Hi, how are you?
- 49:00Speaker 14: It's JoLynn.
- 49:01Speaker 3: JoLynn.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Okay, hi. What are you doing this morning?
- 49:03Speaker 3: Where are you?
- 49:05Speaker 2: I just dropped my daughter off at school. I'm headed
- 49:07Speaker 2: back home.
- 49:08Speaker 7: All right, you're going to be our contestant for a
- 49:09Speaker 7: minute to win it. But first, we need a little
- 49:10Speaker 7: fun fact about yourself.
- 49:13Speaker 14: Fun fact about myself.
- 49:20Speaker 17: Crazy bike accident.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Oh, you cut out for a little bit. Did you
- 49:25Speaker 4: say you were in a crazy bike accident?
- 49:27Speaker 14: Yeah, when I was little, I was in a crazy
- 49:29Speaker 14: bike accident, and I knocked out my front four teeth.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Oh, wow. Okay.
- 49:33Speaker 7: All right, so your phone cut out a little bit.
- 49:36Speaker 7: So you got to be careful when you play this game.
- 49:38Speaker 7: So I don't know if you want to pull over,
- 49:39Speaker 7: find a good signal.
- 49:42Speaker 18: Yep.
- 49:42Speaker 14: Doing that right now.
- 49:43Speaker 24: Okay.
- 49:44Speaker 4: What part of town are you in right now?
- 49:46Speaker 9: I'm in Mesa.
- 49:47Speaker 4: All right.
- 49:48Speaker 22: You ready? Yep.
- 49:51Speaker 12: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 49:54Speaker 12: Peoria Ford right now.
- 49:55Speaker 27: Minute to win it.
- 49:57Speaker 3: I'm so excited for you, JoLynn. Let's do this. 60
- 50:00Speaker 3: seconds on the clock. 10 questions. Get them all right.
- 50:02Speaker 3: No skips. You win $ 1, 000 of Paddocky's money. Here we go.
- 50:06Speaker 3: What Arizona town is known for its gorgeous red rocks
- 50:09Speaker 3: and energy vortexes?
- 50:11Speaker 11: Sedona.
- 50:14Speaker 3: What social media app has a ghost as its logo?
- 50:19Speaker 4: Snapchat.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Bourbon must contain at least 51% of what grain? Wheat? Corn.
- 50:24Speaker 10: To be.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Called bourbon.
- 50:35Speaker 7: All right, we're going to get these text messages. This
- 50:37Speaker 7: is supposed to be easy for a fifth grader. What
- 50:39Speaker 7: fifth grader knows how to make bourbon?
- 50:41Speaker 3: No, it's not supposed to be easy for a fifth grader.
- 50:45Speaker 3: But they're in a fifth grade level or lower.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Oh, Jolene.
- 50:49Speaker 3: Well, thank you, guys.
- 50:50Speaker 4: You're welcome. We're going to set you up with a
- 50:51Speaker 4: gift card to Del Taco, JoLynn.
- 50:54Speaker 14: All right.
- 50:55Speaker 10: Thank you so much, guys.
- 50:56Speaker 4: You got it.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Hold on a line.
- 50:57Speaker 4: We'll set you.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Up.
- 50:59Speaker 7: I saw this thing on first dates because, you know,
- 51:03Speaker 7: it's second date update. And you know that guy Jay Shetty?
- 51:07Speaker 10: Yeah, of course.
- 51:07Speaker 4: He's interviewing somebody.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Where is it?
- 51:10Speaker 4: I had it all queued up. Here, let me play
- 51:12Speaker 4: this off my computer. Oh, here. He's interviewing somebody.
- 51:15Speaker 7: And he asks this woman, what are questions you should
- 51:18Speaker 7: ask on a first date? And listen to what her
- 51:20Speaker 7: response is, because I feel like you're on a first date.
- 51:22Speaker 7: It just seems very deep.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Let's see. Let's see if my computer works. Mercury retrograde. Oh, here.
- 51:32Speaker 10: We go.
- 51:33Speaker 4: What are the three questions you should ask on a
- 51:35Speaker 4: first date?
- 51:35Speaker 5: How'd your last relationship end and what did it teach
- 51:37Speaker 5: you about yourself?
- 51:38Speaker 26: How do you handle conflict?
- 51:39Speaker 11: Are you somebody that likes to talk immediately or do
- 51:41Speaker 11: you like to have space? And how do you see
- 51:43Speaker 11: a relationship fitting into your life?
- 51:46Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I'd be like, uh, can we order appetizers?
- 51:50Speaker 21: Intentional questions.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Trying to settle down.
- 51:58Speaker 3: I think you would start.
- 51:58Speaker 11: It might be intense.
- 52:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Starting with like, what do you watch on Netflix? That'd
- 52:03Speaker 3: be okay.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Damn, man. Holy smokes.
- 52:09Speaker 3: What drink do you think you might get with our tacos?
- 52:12Speaker 3: Like something like that.
- 52:13Speaker 7: I mean, after hearing that and actually also watching, I
- 52:17Speaker 7: finished Nobody Wants This season three.
- 52:19Speaker 4: I'm like. Sometimes he's like so grateful to not be
- 52:23Speaker 4: in the dating world.
- 52:23Speaker 7: Yes.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Right.
- 52:25Speaker 10: Yes.
- 52:25Speaker 7: Especially the stress of like all that, you know, but
- 52:29Speaker 7: this is nobody wants this season three. I got to
- 52:31Speaker 7: tell you, I know we talked briefly about it yesterday
- 52:33Speaker 7: because Peyton said she couldn't get into it. I said
- 52:35Speaker 7: it wasn't as funny as season one, but it is fantastic.
- 52:39Speaker 4: These characters are, I love them so much. I do too.
- 52:42Speaker 11: It's like I binged it.
- 52:44Speaker 7: I wanted, I was bummed the way it ended. I
- 52:46Speaker 7: wanted another episode.
- 52:47Speaker 14: I know.
- 52:47Speaker 11: I was like, and now we're going to have to wait.
- 52:49Speaker 3: How long?
- 52:49Speaker 11: Who knows till the next season?
- 52:52Speaker 3: I know.
- 52:52Speaker 11: Just like, dang, it's because it leaves some really big
- 52:55Speaker 11: plot line up in the air.
- 52:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:56Speaker 3: It's coming back though. I said, Oh, for sure.
- 52:58Speaker 11: It's got to come back.
- 52:59Speaker 7: I mean, it's, it's too much of a hit. I
- 53:01Speaker 7: think it's, I mean, it's a hit show and it's,
- 53:03Speaker 7: It's a really good show. And so I think the
- 53:06Speaker 7: girl that plays Morgan is a superstar.
- 53:08Speaker 3: She's great.
- 53:09Speaker 4: She's just amazing. Have you started yet?
- 53:10Speaker 3: I started it, but I'm not, I'm on the first episode.
- 53:13Speaker 5: It's so easy to.
- 53:14Speaker 13: Blow through though. Cause like the episodes are what? 35 minutes.
- 53:17Speaker 13: I'm on like episode eight right now. And I, I
- 53:20Speaker 13: can say, I do feel like I am missing that
- 53:22Speaker 13: comedy from season one. Like those were like a laugh
- 53:26Speaker 13: out loud, funny moments.
- 53:28Speaker 3: That's where we got the ick.
- 53:29Speaker 13: Yeah, and I felt like, I don't know, I just
- 53:30Speaker 13: feel like this season's so predictable, which is why I'm like,
- 53:34Speaker 13: it's cute, but I'm just like not as impressed.
- 53:36Speaker 7: There's a scene, and I think, Melissa, hold on for
- 53:38Speaker 7: one second, Melissa, hold on. There's a scene, I think
- 53:41Speaker 7: it's episode four, Brian's wedding. Have you got the Brian's
- 53:44Speaker 7: wedding yet?
- 53:44Speaker 5: Yes, I've gone to Brian's wedding.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Okay, you didn't see that coming.
- 53:45Speaker 5: The New York trip just happened.
- 53:47Speaker 4: Oh, the New York trip is awesome. But the Brian's wedding,
- 53:49Speaker 4: you didn't see coming.
- 53:49Speaker 5: In fact, I was- No, I didn't. And I actually
- 53:52Speaker 5: liked Brian's wedding. I thought that was really cute.
- 53:54Speaker 7: There's the thing that, you know, my, Rich was asking
- 53:56Speaker 7: if my algorithm is like his, which is not.
- 53:59Speaker 4: Mine is all nobody wants this now. And mine is
- 54:01Speaker 4: all like five days.
- 54:02Speaker 7: They were holding- All the actors are like, get to
- 54:05Speaker 7: episode four. Have you got to episode four yet? I'm
- 54:07Speaker 7: assuming that's Brian's wedding because that's such a great surprise, right?
- 54:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 4: So I didn't see that at all.
- 54:12Speaker 3: It's not like mine where there's strange things crawling around
- 54:14Speaker 3: on the moon? No.
- 54:16Speaker 7: My algorithm right now is nobody wants this. It's how
- 54:19Speaker 7: much the cast of The Gentleman is getting paid in
- 54:21Speaker 7: mob land drama.
- 54:22Speaker 4: That's what mine is. So Melissa, Melissa, welcome to the show. Hello, hello.
- 54:26Speaker 7: We've been doing this thing for the last couple of
- 54:28Speaker 7: days of describing your job and In as little words
- 54:31Speaker 7: as possible, but making it sound kind.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Of creepy and mysterious.
- 54:35Speaker 28: Yes, I've been loving it.
- 54:37Speaker 4: And what's yours?
- 54:39Speaker 28: I get paid to pull hair by hair.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Oh. Do you do hair extensions? No.
- 54:51Speaker 5: Eyebrow waxing. Or any kind of waxing.
- 54:56Speaker 4: Ah, eyebrow waxing.
- 54:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 54:58Speaker 14: Nice job.
- 54:59Speaker 4: All right. Thanks, Melissa. Thanks for calling in.
- 55:01Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Marcus, you got a spooky job.
- 55:04Speaker 10: Yes.
- 55:05Speaker 4: What do.
- 55:07Speaker 3: You got?
- 55:08Speaker 15: So, my spooky description is, I clean up the crap
- 55:11Speaker 15: you leave behind once you're gone.
- 55:16Speaker 3: I feel like maybe he cleans hotel rooms.
- 55:21Speaker 4: Wait, let me ask you something. When you say crap,
- 55:24Speaker 4: do you mean real crap?
- 55:29Speaker 15: I do.
- 55:31Speaker 11: You work in sanitation.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:35Speaker 15: Close, pretty much.
- 55:37Speaker 4: What do you do?
- 55:39Speaker 15: I clean portal potties.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Oh, real crap.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:42Speaker 4: Wow, you clean portal potties. How did you get that job?
- 55:44Speaker 4: How does that start?
- 55:47Speaker 15: Um, they're hiring for a company that just opened in
- 55:49Speaker 15: our city and I applied and they want me to
- 55:52Speaker 15: train for like, uh, different types of positions. And the
- 55:56Speaker 15: lowest one to start at was cleaning portal potty. So
- 55:58Speaker 15: it's actually, uh, not bad of a job as you think.
- 56:02Speaker 7: Is that with a power washer and stuff and you
- 56:03Speaker 7: got to wear sanitation stuff and all that, like breaking
- 56:06Speaker 7: bad outfits?
- 56:07Speaker 15: Oh, well, we've got some PPE we wear, but I mean,
- 56:09Speaker 15: you basically throw a hose in there and sucks it
- 56:12Speaker 15: out and throw some cleaners in there and spray it
- 56:14Speaker 15: down and call it a day.
- 56:16Speaker 3: You know, I know you said that's an entry-level position,
- 56:18Speaker 3: but I hope it pays the most because that is
- 56:21Speaker 3: real work.
- 56:22Speaker 15: It actually pays pretty well, better than most people would think.
- 56:26Speaker 4: How long have you been doing it?
- 56:30Speaker 10: Almost a year.
- 56:32Speaker 4: So this may be a weird question, but I'm curious.
- 56:33Speaker 7: In the year of cleaning porta-potties, have you ever found
- 56:36Speaker 7: anything interesting that somebody dropped in there?
- 56:41Speaker 15: You find lots of tools because you're on a lot
- 56:43Speaker 15: of construction sites.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 56:47Speaker 15: Really gross. I found some bloody feces.
- 56:49Speaker 4: No, I don't want to see that. Of course. God,
- 56:51Speaker 4: that's gross.
- 56:52Speaker 15: People like to pee in the trash cans for some reason.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Right.
- 56:58Speaker 24: Oh, man.
- 56:58Speaker 4: I meant like cell phones, a tennis shoe.
- 57:01Speaker 15: I found cell phones. One of my coworkers did find
- 57:05Speaker 15: a dead body.
- 57:06Speaker 14: Oh, my.
- 57:07Speaker 10: A dead body?
- 57:08Speaker 3: How do you skip over that one?
- 57:09Speaker 4: Found a dead body in a port-a-body.
- 57:13Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 57:13Speaker 15: In the middle of the winter, the homeless like to
- 57:14Speaker 15: try to keep warming them and I went and knocked
- 57:17Speaker 15: on one, and somebody was in there. He gave him
- 57:19Speaker 15: some time. He said, hey, man, I got to get
- 57:21Speaker 15: you out. Give you a couple minutes.
- 57:23Speaker 23: Went back.
- 57:23Speaker 15: No one answered, and somebody was frozen in there.
- 57:28Speaker 11: Oh, that's so sad.
- 57:29Speaker 7: All right, Marcus, that leads us into something we're going
- 57:31Speaker 7: to get into anyway because it was in the news today.
- 57:33Speaker 4: Hold on, Marcus. Hold on. We want to get into
- 57:35Speaker 4: where you saw a dead body.
- 57:36Speaker 2: 877-937-1047.
- 57:36Speaker 7: There was a dead body at Disneyland. We'll get into that,
- 57:38Speaker 7: but call us at 877-937-1047. Also, tomorrow at this time,
- 57:48Speaker 7: right around this time, we're going to have a psychic on.
- 57:51Speaker 7: So if you have questions, make sure you're prepped. That's
- 57:53Speaker 7: tomorrow at this time. A psychic will tell you about ghosts,
- 57:57Speaker 7: tell you about your future, everything. That's tomorrow at this time.
- 58:00Speaker 7: Less than 20 minutes, Kiss is going to pay your bills.
- 58:02Speaker 7: When did you see a dead body? That is next
- 58:04Speaker 7: with John Jay and Rich.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Microphone check.
- 58:06Speaker 5: Tap in and say what's up.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Check.
- 58:07Speaker 13: Open the free iHeartRadio app and tap the top back
- 58:10Speaker 13: mic to send John Jay and Rich a message now.
- 58:13Speaker 4: When did you see a dead body? Why are we
- 58:15Speaker 4: bringing it up? One, because it's spooky season two, because
- 58:17Speaker 4: it's in the news.
- 58:18Speaker 12: Yeah, at Disneyland just yesterday, there was like an emergency
- 58:21Speaker 12: call about a man in distress, a 65-year-old man right
- 58:24Speaker 12: outside the entrance of Disneyland.
- 58:25Speaker 11: And when the cops finally showed up, he was already dead.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Do you think there's foul play?
- 58:30Speaker 11: They don't think there's foul play.
- 58:31Speaker 12: They thought that the man was actually homeless.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Oh.
- 58:35Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Well, we want to know when did you see a
- 58:37Speaker 4: dead body? Preeti, good morning.
- 58:39Speaker 19: Good morning.
- 58:43Speaker 4: When did you see a dead body?
- 58:44Speaker 28: So we own a restaurant in the valley. It's been
- 58:48Speaker 28: a few years now, but there was a body that
- 58:52Speaker 28: was out in the parking lot, and we found it
- 58:56Speaker 28: when we were leaving for the night.
- 58:59Speaker 4: Well, first of all, what restaurant do you have?
- 59:01Speaker 28: It's an Indian restaurant, Saffron, Indian Bistro in Glendale.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Oh, Saffron.
- 59:07Speaker 8: Right on.
- 59:08Speaker 4: Okay. All right.
- 59:11Speaker 28: Well, so yeah, we were leaving for the night and
- 59:13Speaker 28: our server was walking out, so I didn't want her
- 59:15Speaker 28: to walk alone. So I said, okay, let's pull up
- 59:17Speaker 28: the car and I'll drive you over to your car.
- 59:20Speaker 28: And so we pulled up and there was a car
- 59:23Speaker 28: and it was sitting there.
- 59:24Speaker 17: It was a little bit like odd.
- 59:25Speaker 28: And then eventually my husband came out and we were like, Hi,
- 59:29Speaker 28: did you need help, sir? Like, are you okay?
- 59:32Speaker 26: But no answer.
- 59:33Speaker 28: And then when we called the police, they came, they
- 59:35Speaker 28: said that he had probably passed away like hours earlier.
- 59:37Speaker 11: Oh, that's terrible.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Do you need help? Do you need help?
- 59:41Speaker 7: Would you like to try the chicken saute?
- 59:43Speaker 3: Two for one.
- 59:47Speaker 28: Well, I love you guys so much for making our
- 59:50Speaker 28: mornings great.
- 59:51Speaker 4: Have a great day. Thanks for calling in. Christy, when
- 59:54Speaker 4: did you see a dead body?
- 59:57Speaker 14: This was about 25 years ago and I lived in
- 1:00:00Speaker 14: Anthem and I was driving down I-17 towards Phoenix and
- 1:00:03Speaker 14: I looked on the side of the road and there
- 1:00:05Speaker 14: was a dead body face down. It wasn't moving. I'm like,
- 1:00:09Speaker 14: is it really dead? No movement, nothing, face in the dirt.
- 1:00:12Speaker 14: And I wanted to drive around to go look at it,
- 1:00:15Speaker 14: but I had my kids with me at the time
- 1:00:17Speaker 14: and I didn't want to like traumatize them. So I
- 1:00:20Speaker 14: went home and I'm like, I wonder if that was
- 1:00:22Speaker 14: really dead. And then That night on the news, they
- 1:00:24Speaker 14: said dead body found on the side of the road
- 1:00:27Speaker 14: next to I-17 in Anthem.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: You don't know why or what happened?
- 1:00:33Speaker 10: No.
- 1:00:34Speaker 14: They think someone dropped his body off there and didn't
- 1:00:37Speaker 14: kill him there, but I never found anything else about it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 17: But now I'm going to research it.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:42Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: Well, thank you very much. Dawn, tell us when you
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: saw a dead body. When did you see a dead body, Dawn?
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:00:50Speaker 23: Well, I'm a retired firefighter medic, so I've fought quite
- 1:00:52Speaker 23: a few in my career. But my last year, this
- 1:00:55Speaker 23: was back in 2014. I lived in Montana, and we
- 1:00:59Speaker 23: got a call to a smoking log in the middle
- 1:01:02Speaker 23: of the interstate. Back there, we don't have freeways. We
- 1:01:04Speaker 23: have interstates. So it was I-90. And we pulled up
- 1:01:09Speaker 23: on scene, and fair enough, there was a log smoking.
- 1:01:11Speaker 23: It was midnight. My buddy and I got out, and
- 1:01:13Speaker 23: I walked up to it and looked at it. And
- 1:01:15Speaker 23: I'm like, yeah, it's a log.
- 1:01:16Speaker 22: And he goes, kick it. So I kicked it.
- 1:01:18Speaker 23: And as soon as I kicked it, the whites' eyes
- 1:01:20Speaker 23: popped up and looked at me.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: The what?
- 1:01:25Speaker 23: Totally, it was like a burnt marshmallow.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: Not a log.
- 1:01:30Speaker 22: Nope, it was a person.
- 1:01:32Speaker 23: And a couple years later, come to find out, it
- 1:01:35Speaker 23: was a hit by the mob.
- 1:01:37Speaker 27: Oh.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: It was a guy alive, and then he died? Like,
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: you kidding?
- 1:01:42Speaker 23: Yeah, when I kicked him, his eyes opened up.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Holy smokes.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: That's going to haunt you, even as an EMT.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: That's going to haunt me now.
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: After finding out it was a hit by the mob,
- 1:01:50Speaker 12: did you at all, like, get worried they were going
- 1:01:52Speaker 12: to come after you for finding the.
- 1:01:54Speaker 23: Body or anything like that? Because my uncle was actually
- 1:01:58Speaker 23: a hitman for the Gambino crime family in New York
- 1:02:00Speaker 23: back in the 60s.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Oh, well, you've got all kinds of good stories for us.
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: Okay, you're protected.
- 1:02:03Speaker 23: Yeah. Yeah, no, no, seriously, yeah.
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: No, I didn't worry about it at all.
- 1:02:06Speaker 23: I mean, it's just, you know, something that happens. Actually,
- 1:02:10Speaker 23: in Montana, the mafia tends to, or they used to...
- 1:02:14Speaker 23: They travel from New York, Chicago, or from Seattle or
- 1:02:16Speaker 23: Vegas up to Montana and drop a body off anywhere.
- 1:02:18Speaker 23: Kind of like they do in Lake Mead in the barrels,
- 1:02:20Speaker 23: the bodies in the barrels out there.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Yeah, because the lake is low, they're finding them all now?
- 1:02:26Speaker 22: Yep.
- 1:02:26Speaker 23: Yeah, I mean, they do it all the time out there.
- 1:02:29Speaker 24: What?
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: They're finding barrels of people in Lake Mead?
- 1:02:33Speaker 23: You didn't know this, John Jay.
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: Come on.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: No.
- 1:02:37Speaker 10: You didn't know that?
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: Not barrels of people. Like a barrel with a person
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: in it?
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Dexter style.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 23: No, they just identified one of the guys they found
- 1:02:46Speaker 23: a couple years ago when it drawed down, when it
- 1:02:48Speaker 23: got really low. Some guy, he had a gambling debt
- 1:02:51Speaker 23: with a mob. He was from Alabama. Wow.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: Dang, dude.
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: That's crazy.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: All right, Don.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Geez, man. Well, thanks, Don. Holy smokes.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: I mean, we knew this was going to be a
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: dark segment. We knew.
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: I love it. It's the perfect time of year to
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: do that.
- 1:03:05Speaker 11: Yeah, spooky season.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Layla, good morning.
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: Good morning, John Jay.
- 1:03:10Speaker 10: Hi.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: When did you see a dead body, Layla?
- 1:03:13Speaker 18: So I used to work at LAX for an international airline.
- 1:03:17Speaker 18: I was a duty manager at the airport. And we
- 1:03:22Speaker 18: had a passenger die in the aircraft while I was
- 1:03:26Speaker 18: in the air flying from, I think it was Tahiti
- 1:03:29Speaker 18: to LAX. And the gentleman passed natural causes. He was
- 1:03:33Speaker 18: an older gentleman traveling with his wife.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: And.
- 1:03:36Speaker 18: When the plane landed at LAX, we had to deplane
- 1:03:39Speaker 18: the aircraft, but we could not move the body. And
- 1:03:41Speaker 18: I had to stay with the body until the authorities
- 1:03:43Speaker 18: came to.
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: Investigate.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: Did you sit next to it? Like, was he in
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: a window seat? You sit in the middle?
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: Actually, he was.
- 1:03:52Speaker 9: He was at a window seat.
- 1:03:53Speaker 17: I was sitting.
- 1:03:55Speaker 18: At the seat in front of him.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Facing him?
- 1:04:01Speaker 18: Well, he was covered, so the rule is the crew...
- 1:04:05Speaker 18: They cannot touch or move the body. And anyone sitting
- 1:04:07Speaker 18: around the body has to remain seated in their seat
- 1:04:12Speaker 18: if the flight is full.
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: If the flight is full.
- 1:04:16Speaker 18: And if they can move passengers, great. But if it's
- 1:04:19Speaker 18: a full flight, they have no choice but to stay seated.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Next to the body.
- 1:04:23Speaker 11: Oh, that's terrible.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: And did they? Was that row full? Absolutely.
- 1:04:28Speaker 18: Uh, that flight was a full flight.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Yes. Oh, wow.
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: I hope they got the armrest.
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: And those flights are long.
- 1:04:34Speaker 22: Yeah. Those flights are long.
- 1:04:36Speaker 18: LAX, um, like Tahiti to LAX, like that's a nine,
- 1:04:40Speaker 18: 10 hour flight. And then the flight goes from, uh,
- 1:04:44Speaker 18: LAX to Paris and that's another 12 to 13 hours.
- 1:04:47Speaker 11: So it's a lot.
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: On, on a body.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Do they transfer the dead body to the next flight?
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Cause they got to get it home. It's a layover.
- 1:04:55Speaker 18: Um, So depending what citizenship, what nationality the person is.
- 1:05:02Speaker 18: So in our case, it was a French national. So
- 1:05:05Speaker 18: after they removed the body at LAX and did the
- 1:05:10Speaker 18: proper investigations, and then the family made arrangements to move
- 1:05:15Speaker 18: the body from California back to France.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: I think that would kind of mess me up if
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I had to sit next to that. Unless, of course,
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: you offered me more pretzels on the flight for the snack. You,
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: extra bag of pretzels.
- 1:05:25Speaker 13: Well, because don't bodies start to, like, release gases and
- 1:05:28Speaker 13: stuff after sitting.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: There for a while? I would not.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: Yeah, like three or four hours, you would think it starts,
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: you know.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: I'd do it within minutes.
- 1:05:35Speaker 18: Yeah, but there's.
- 1:05:37Speaker 17: International laws and procedures. The airlines have them.
- 1:05:40Speaker 18: You know, everyone has.
- 1:05:42Speaker 17: To follow the same law.
- 1:05:43Speaker 10: So, yeah.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: Just unwinding in Tahiti, and then you have to fly
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: back under that stress.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Thanks, Layla. Thanks for sharing that story with us. That's crazy. Rocky,
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: good morning. When did you see a dead body?
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: Hey, just like John Jay. Let me turn my Bluetooth off. Sorry,
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: I'm working. Hold on.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: I can come back to you.
- 1:06:01Speaker 20: All right.
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: Can you hear me?
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: Hey, so, gosh dang it. My Bluetooth turned back on.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: It's okay. You sound fine.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Yeah, we got you. There it goes.
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: Okay, so I was working one night. I used to
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: work nights on the highways, and I was working with
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: a gentleman, and it was our time to get off shift,
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: but we always have to call in before, you know,
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: to check the road to make sure everything's all right. Well,
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: I was about to leave, and they couldn't get a
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: hold of the guy, and so they called to see
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: if we could, well, if I could go out and
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: try to see what was going on. Well, we found
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: this truck in the middle of the freeway. He was
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: what we think trying to get some debris off the
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: road and a car had swerved at him and he
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: jumped over the inner pass to, to block it or
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: to get away from it. And the horrible part was
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: is that he ended up breaking his neck and landing
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: in the water.
- 1:06:52Speaker 10: Oh my gosh.
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: And he had passed away that way, but I had
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: to find him.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: God, that's terrible.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: And he was about four days away from retiring.
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: No, man.
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: That's terrible. Thanks Rocky. Jen, what about you? When'd you
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: see a dead body?
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Okay, so I decided to go get groceries before I
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: went and got the kids because, I don't know, I
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: was just being lazy. And I go to Fry's on
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Main Street in Mesa, and there's ambulances. I figured somebody
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: passed out.
- 1:07:20Speaker 24: Nope.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: There's a dead body on the ground in front of
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: the doors with the sheet over it, cops standing around
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: like it's a normal Tuesday. So I go in, and
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: I go shopping, and I'm like, okay, well, I need this.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: And I come back out, and they're still just standing around.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Well, they've got to wait for the coroner to show up.
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: Yeah, called Policies and Procedures.
- 1:07:40Speaker 13: You would think they might shut down that exit to
- 1:07:43Speaker 13: the grocery store.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: Thanks, Jen.
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: Speaking of fries, there's a Fry's by my house. It's
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: the one on Miller. You guys have been to Miller
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: in Indian School? No, I know the intersection. So there's
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: a Fry's there, and there used to be a yoga
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: studio I go to. And the other day I was
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: driving by with my wife.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: No longer a Fry's. It's a Whole Foods. I figured
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: that should be news. Like a Whole Foods. I'm so
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: excited there's one close to me. Well, that can.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: But it's next to Sprouts. Sprouts is right on that
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: same street. And I've been going to Sprouts a lot.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: That's kind of like my go-to now. It used to
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: be Whole Foods, but Whole Foods was kind of a drive.
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: Now I'm like, I feel bad because I'm so used
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: to Sprouts.
- 1:08:15Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: Such a dilemma.
- 1:08:17Speaker 11: They do have different things, though.
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: Like, oh, my wife and I were talking about it.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: What is it that Whole Foods has that Sprouts doesn't.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: Have that we don't?
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Great sushi.
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: Sprouts has got, well, that's not true. I don't know
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: about their sushi.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: They have it. It's not Whole Foods good.
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: I don't think I've done the sushi at Whole Foods.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Dawn, when did you see a dead body?
- 1:08:35Speaker 18: Hi.
- 1:08:36Speaker 26: Yes, I do hair, and I had to work on
- 1:08:41Speaker 26: two of my deceased clients. They needed cuts and styles
- 1:08:43Speaker 26: for their funeral.
- 1:08:45Speaker 22: Wow.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: So how did you get the second one?
- 1:08:49Speaker 26: They were husband and wife, and they died two years apart.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 1:08:55Speaker 26: Yeah, I have another client asking. She's waiting in line
- 1:08:57Speaker 26: for it. I'm like, oh, gosh.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Oh, so she's alive. but once it happened she's like
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: you got to do my.
- 1:09:01Speaker 26: Hair yeah because she knew them and she thought it
- 1:09:05Speaker 26: was nice that i did it for them too is it.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Easier to do a dead person's hair than it is
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: a live person.
- 1:09:11Speaker 9: No, not really.
- 1:09:12Speaker 26: And one was embalmed and one wasn't. And I do
- 1:09:15Speaker 26: like the ones that are embalmed instead because the not embalmed,
- 1:09:18Speaker 26: I watched too many scary movies and I thought it
- 1:09:20Speaker 26: was going to jump the whole time.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: Do you put them in a chair or do you
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: do when they're laying down?
- 1:09:26Speaker 26: They lay down and they prop their head up on
- 1:09:28Speaker 26: a metal thing so I can kind of get as
- 1:09:30Speaker 26: far back as I can.
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: I don't know, man.
- 1:09:34Speaker 11: That would give me nightmares.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: I mean, somebody's got to do it, I guess.
- 1:09:37Speaker 12: Oh, and it's somebody you know, too, and have a
- 1:09:39Speaker 12: good relationship with.
- 1:09:42Speaker 26: Yeah, I felt honored that they asked, but I was
- 1:09:44Speaker 26: freaked out and my hands were frozen.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: I bet.
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: Do you talk to them when you're doing.
- 1:09:52Speaker 10: It?
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: No, I talk to myself, I guess.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: You're telling yourself gossip like they would be telling you.
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: How long does it take to do it?
- 1:09:58Speaker 26: No, just kind of like, this is okay. You're not
- 1:09:59Speaker 26: going to bite me. You're not going to. It took
- 1:10:02Speaker 26: about a half hour each time.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: You're saying just the normal things you say.
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: You're not going to bite me.
- 1:10:07Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:10:08Speaker 11: You say that often.
- 1:10:08Speaker 26: You're not going to jump up and do anything.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: Wow, Dawn. Well, thanks for sharing that with us. That's different.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: Thank you. Have a great day, Dawn.
- 1:10:14Speaker 18: Thank you.
- 1:10:14Speaker 26: Thank you so much.
- 1:10:15Speaker 24: You too.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: Hi, Kyle Payton. What's going on in the entertainment world?
- 1:10:27Speaker 13: So for years, Jay-Z has been the mastermind behind the
- 1:10:30Speaker 13: scenes for the Super Bowl halftime show. And just yesterday,
- 1:10:33Speaker 13: it was confirmed that he announced himself as this year's
- 1:10:37Speaker 13: halftime performer.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Public service announcement.
- 1:10:42Speaker 13: Sponsored by Just Blaze and the good folks at Rockefeller Records.
- 1:10:45Speaker 27: Allow me to reintroduce myself.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: My name is O-H to the O-V. I used to
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: move snowflakes by the O-Z.
- 1:10:54Speaker 13: We saw this rumor last week.
- 1:10:56Speaker 11: It's like worst kept secret.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: We saw this rumor last week, but it is officially confirmed.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: And I think people are.
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: Just really excited to see who.
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: He's going to bring out.
- 1:11:05Speaker 11: What if he didn't bring out anyone? Are people going
- 1:11:07Speaker 11: to be disappointed?
- 1:11:07Speaker 12: Because it's not like Jay-Z doesn't have the library to
- 1:11:09Speaker 12: sustain a halftime show himself.
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: And he absolutely can.
- 1:11:12Speaker 13: He just sold out Yankee Stadium, I think, two nights
- 1:11:14Speaker 13: in a row or something like that, and it was packed.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: He definitely has the library to do so.
- 1:11:18Speaker 13: I just think that people are going to want to
- 1:11:20Speaker 13: have a little bit more.
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: I mean, it's Jay-Z, but, like, give us some Beyonce.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: That's your wife.
- 1:11:26Speaker 11: Bring out Rihanna. Bring out Rihanna.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: We'll probably bring out Blue Ivy.
- 1:11:29Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: I think that'd be awesome.
- 1:11:30Speaker 13: I actually was listening to, cause Apple music, they put
- 1:11:33Speaker 13: on the little like halftime show thing. And I was
- 1:11:36Speaker 13: listening to some Jay-Z songs on the way in this morning.
- 1:11:38Speaker 13: I was like, I don't think I knew that was
- 1:11:39Speaker 13: a Jay-Z song.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: Oh really? Yeah.
- 1:11:43Speaker 12: You know, it happens every time there's a Superbowl halftime performer,
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: their music always surges and all the streaming, you know,
- 1:11:48Speaker 12: before and after.
- 1:11:49Speaker 11: So it's, It's definitely good for him.
- 1:11:51Speaker 13: Yeah, it's going to be in LA at SoFi Stadium
- 1:11:54Speaker 13: and it's February 14th. So Valentine's Day, Jay-Z halftime show
- 1:11:58Speaker 13: and Super Bowl performance.
- 1:11:59Speaker 11: And the next day is a holiday, which is amazing.
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: I love that.
- 1:12:03Speaker 11: Such good timing.
- 1:12:04Speaker 12: People Magazine just named Noah Wiley. It's sexiest man alive
- 1:12:10Speaker 12: for 2026. He's 55 years old.
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: He said this.
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: This was such a huge surprise. I think it surprised
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: him more than anybody reading the announcement. His wife is
- 1:12:19Speaker 12: apparently the one that convinced him to embrace it.
- 1:12:22Speaker 11: She says he's not just good looking.
- 1:12:24Speaker 12: He actually cooks, cleans and folds the laundry, which is
- 1:12:27Speaker 12: his sexiest qualities, according to his wife. Obviously, it's because
- 1:12:31Speaker 12: of the popularity of his show, The Pit. But yeah,
- 1:12:34Speaker 12: I mean, congratulations, because that's that's an honor for him.
- 1:12:37Speaker 11: Would I have chosen that? No, but I don't work
- 1:12:39Speaker 11: for People magazine.
- 1:12:40Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: How can you be the sexiest man alive one year
- 1:12:43Speaker 7: and then not win it the next year?
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Because you're still alive.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: You're still alive.
- 1:12:49Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: We always talk about this every year when they announce it.
- 1:12:51Speaker 12: It's always kind of like, what's the actual criteria for this?
- 1:12:54Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: Like, where's the Jacob Elordi?
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: Like, come on.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: That'd be a good one. Are you kidding me? Or
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: just give it to Ryan Gosling. That's fine. We're good
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: with that. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:13:03Speaker 12: Kristen Bell says her husband, Dax Shepard, has a pretty
- 1:13:06Speaker 12: unusual way of flirting her, flirting with her.
- 1:13:10Speaker 11: It's complimenting others. That's how I know you're flirting with
- 1:13:14Speaker 11: me a lot.
- 1:13:15Speaker 12: Like if we go to a dinner or something, like
- 1:13:17Speaker 12: he'll say to the waiter, waitress.
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: He'll go, wow, you have incredible eyelashes, gorgeous eyes.
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: Great, great job.
- 1:13:25Speaker 11: And then that's flirting with her.
- 1:13:28Speaker 12: But that's flirting with me because he just made.
- 1:13:32Speaker 14: Someone else feel it.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: Feel good.
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: Interesting that it didn't work for Morgan and her first husband.
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: Nobody wants this.
- 1:13:38Speaker 12: Yeah, but Kristen said, honestly, it's like him being nice
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: and kind to others is like the hottest thing to her.
- 1:13:44Speaker 13: The comments, though, on that clip, it was like Kristen
- 1:13:47Speaker 13: blinked twice if you need like help escaping him. Because
- 1:13:51Speaker 13: everyone kind of drags Dax Shepard because they always say
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: like he's not romantic.
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: He kind of acts.
- 1:13:55Speaker 13: He kind of gives, like, how Justin Bieber treats Hailey Bieber. Like,
- 1:13:58Speaker 13: he doesn't really like.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Her very much. And she's so loved that you need
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: the best for her.
- 1:14:01Speaker 13: But I bet you behind closed doors, I bet you
- 1:14:04Speaker 13: they're a little freaky.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: But they did.
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: I mean, they did actually open up in that same interview.
- 1:14:08Speaker 12: Dax Shepard was like, I never wanted to get married.
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: And he had, when they started dating, he had told
- 1:14:13Speaker 12: Kristen Bell, like, I'm not going to get married. And
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: so she had given up the idea of a ring.
- 1:14:17Speaker 12: And she was like, that's fine. This is just going
- 1:14:18Speaker 12: to be my partner for life or whatever. And then
- 1:14:20Speaker 12: he went somewhere with her family. And in the instant,
- 1:14:24Speaker 12: he was like, I want to be part of this family.
- 1:14:27Speaker 12: Maybe marriage isn't just paperwork for the government.
- 1:14:30Speaker 11: I want for it to be something more. So that's
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: kind of cute for him to admit that.
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: When Peyton said what she said about the people in
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: the comments... when you look at it through that perspective,
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: you totally get it.
- 1:14:40Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: You totally look like he's a jerk face.
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 1:14:44Speaker 13: There's some stuff where I'm like, how was she like
- 1:14:46Speaker 13: so cute and perfect and adorable. And you're married to that.
- 1:14:49Speaker 13: Like in that, in this sense, cause he comes across
- 1:14:51Speaker 13: as a jerk.
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: You know what else I was watching? I told you,
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: nobody wants, this is all in my feed. And, um,
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: I saw this interview with them. That's trending. And it's, uh,
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: they're talking about who is most like their character. And
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: I feel like she, Kristen Bell is like, uh, Joanne, uh,
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: But they said she's the opposite.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: She's not like that at all. Isn't that weird?
- 1:15:11Speaker 11: Oh, that is weird. I mean, she plays it very well.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: But they say that's not true.
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: They're like, yeah, out of all the characters, like the guy, Sasha,
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: they say he's most like his character in real life.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: But she is totally different. And I was like, what
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: a trip.
- 1:15:22Speaker 11: In what ways?
- 1:15:23Speaker 14: I know.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: Because I feel like Kristen Bell is her. But it's not.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: It's not. She's not like that at all.
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: I know, like I need a deeper, deep dive on
- 1:15:31Speaker 11: that for sure.
- 1:15:33Speaker 12: Taylor Swift, you guys, just made history. She became the
- 1:15:36Speaker 12: youngest person ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
- 1:15:39Speaker 11: She's just 36 years old.
- 1:15:41Speaker 12: Brad Paisley introduced her and it was funny because when
- 1:15:44Speaker 12: she went up to start her speech, she was like, oh,
- 1:15:46Speaker 12: it's kind of weird. Like Brad Paisley is here because,
- 1:15:48Speaker 12: you know, we've been estranged for 20 years and then
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: explained why.
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: Took a tour prank too far.
- 1:15:54Speaker 13: Filled my entire tour bus with live crickets, thousands of them.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: For months, I couldn't sleep. Just chirp, chirp, chirp.
- 1:16:04Speaker 13: I considered buying a pet lizard to eradicate the problem.
- 1:16:08Speaker 27: It was a dark time, but you know what?
- 1:16:10Speaker 11: You did such an amazing job with that introduction.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: I think we can let bygones be bygones.
- 1:16:17Speaker 11: Water under the bridge now, then.
- 1:16:19Speaker 12: She got pretty emotional thanking the people who helped shape
- 1:16:21Speaker 12: her career along the way, including a bunch of different songwriters. Now,
- 1:16:25Speaker 12: you guys remember when Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter broke up,
- 1:16:27Speaker 12: there was so many comments about him being ugly online.
- 1:16:30Speaker 11: So much so that he opened.
- 1:16:31Speaker 12: Up about how much it actually affected his mental health.
- 1:16:34Speaker 11: It sort of devastated him.
- 1:16:36Speaker 12: And now he just shared a video of like right
- 1:16:39Speaker 12: after getting the skin tightening procedure.
- 1:16:43Speaker 27: I'm Barry Kilgan, and I just had Zerf with Neil
- 1:16:45Speaker 27: and Moms. I mean, I've been hearing a lot about it,
- 1:16:48Speaker 27: and every time I come in here, it's very relaxing
- 1:16:51Speaker 27: and therapeutic.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: I feel better about myself.
- 1:16:54Speaker 27: I look better. I think it's important to look after
- 1:16:57Speaker 27: yourself inside and outside.
- 1:16:59Speaker 11: Makes me sad.
- 1:17:00Speaker 12: Like, this treatment's like a $ 6, 000 skin tightening treatment that uses, like,
- 1:17:04Speaker 12: radio frequency to tighten up your skin. And I'm like,
- 1:17:07Speaker 12: I'm all about taking care of yourself inside and out.
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: I think that's great. I love all the lasers. But
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: to me, it's, like, so sad because.
- 1:17:15Speaker 12: Like, would he be doing this without all the negative
- 1:17:17Speaker 12: comments that he got?
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: Probably not.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: Was he getting paid?
- 1:17:20Speaker 11: He could have been getting paid, too.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: Sounds like it.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: Can you play it again? I want to hear it
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: again for a second. Just a little bit.
- 1:17:25Speaker 27: I'm Barry Kilgan, and I just had Zerf with Neelam Holmes.
- 1:17:28Speaker 22: Okay.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: I just had Zerf with Nealon Mumps.
- 1:17:30Speaker 11: No, Nealon is like, it's the lady that does his treatments.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: He's like, I just had Zerf with Nealon Mumps. We're like, oh, wow.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: Kevin Nealon Mumps?
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: Are you speaking English, man? Are you in another place?
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: In Mars? Where are you from?
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: It sounds like Peaky Blinders.
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: Hey, we got you hooked up with Ticket to See
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: Yay live at State Farm Stadium.
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: We need a contestant. 877-937-1047.
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: We're going to play Peyton's Pop Culture Trivia after Bruno Mars.
- 1:17:59Speaker 7: All right, we're going to play a game. We need
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: a contestant. Our prize is Kanye tickets.
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: Yay.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Good morning, Samantha. How are you?
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: Hey, good.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: How are you?
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: Great, Samantha. Payton, what game are we going to play?
- 1:18:15Speaker 13: This is a pop culture trivia game where I'm just
- 1:18:17Speaker 13: going to give you a bunch.
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: Of pop culture questions. And if you get it right,
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: then you get a point. Easy enough. John Jay, we're
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: going to start with you, okay? Before becoming a rapper.
- 1:18:27Speaker 13: Cardi B was famously working what job?
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: I believe she was a dancer, a stripper.
- 1:18:33Speaker 5: She was. She was a stripper. Good job, John Jay,
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: and she is proud of that. Rich, which pop star's
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: real name is Abel?
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: Drake. John Jay.
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: Incorrect.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: No, no, Weekend. Sorry.
- 1:18:46Speaker 13: The Weekend is correct, but I cannot give you a
- 1:18:48Speaker 13: point for that because you said.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Drake.
- 1:18:50Speaker 5: I can get how you can get confused. His real
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: name's Aubrey, but wrong.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:18:54Speaker 14: Kyle.
- 1:18:55Speaker 13: Which singer famously dated both Justin Bieber and The Weekend?
- 1:19:01Speaker 11: Selena Gomez.
- 1:19:01Speaker 13: Correct.
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: Samantha. What is the name?
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: Ready.
- 1:19:07Speaker 5: What is the name? Of Taylor Swift's fan base.
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: Oh, Swifties.
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: Correct. Great job, Samantha.
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: Okay, as we move into round two, John Jay, this
- 1:19:20Speaker 13: is some celebrity lore, and we are giving away Kanye
- 1:19:22Speaker 13: West tickets, okay? Which rapper famously interrupted Taylor Swift's sex
- 1:19:26Speaker 13: and speech at the 2009 VMAs?
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: Well, I'm glad you gave me that foreshadowing ahead of time.
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: I'm going to say Kanye West.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: Correct. Good job, John Jay. Two points.
- 1:19:38Speaker 13: Rich, this might be tricky for you, but I have
- 1:19:40Speaker 13: all the faith in the world. Which actress played Sharpay
- 1:19:44Speaker 13: Evans in.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: High School Musical?
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: Oh, Sharpay. Oh, my gosh. She was in Phineas and Ferb, too.
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: Yeah, she is Candace in Phineas and Ferb.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: And I am not remembering her name, but she's also
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: part of the Mean Moms group.
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: Yes, yes, you see her name.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: Meghan Trainor?
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: No.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: No, no, I mean, she's like, Meghan Trainor didn't like
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: the Mean Moms group?
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: Yeah, you're working it out.
- 1:20:07Speaker 13: I need it in three, two, one. I'm looking for
- 1:20:11Speaker 13: Ashley Tisdale. Ashley Tisdale is the correct answer, but that's
- 1:20:15Speaker 13: all right, Rich. Kyle, which singer's debut album was titled Sour?
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: You know this.
- 1:20:24Speaker 10: I know.
- 1:20:25Speaker 11: I feel it. I feel like I'm going to get
- 1:20:27Speaker 11: it wrong, though.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: Is it Sabrina Carpenter?
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: No.
- 1:20:30Speaker 5: Olivia Rodrigo. It's okay.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:20:35Speaker 13: Samantha, Rich Lowkey just gave you this answer earlier, so
- 1:20:39Speaker 13: I hope you.
- 1:20:39Speaker 11: Were locked in.
- 1:20:41Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:20:41Speaker 18: Okay.
- 1:20:42Speaker 13: Which rapper's real name is Aubrey Graham?
- 1:20:46Speaker 9: Drake.
- 1:20:47Speaker 5: Yes, correct, Samantha. Good job. Okay. The stakes are getting
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: harder in round three. John Jay.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:20:55Speaker 13: Before releasing her hit song Nicole Kidman, the singer Adele
- 1:20:59Speaker 13: was a what?
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: Adele was an Adele impersonator. No, just kidding. JK, JK, JK.
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: She worked at Spirit Costume Store.
- 1:21:09Speaker 5: Incorrect. She was a ballerina. Did you guys know that?
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: Did not know that.
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: Yes, she was a ballerina and a really good one
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: at that. But incorrect, John Jay. That's all right.
- 1:21:20Speaker 13: Rich? Which actress played Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games?
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: J-Law, Jennifer Lawrence.
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: Correct. Kyle, here's your chance to get on the board.
- 1:21:32Speaker 13: Kim Kardashian showed off this year's Halloween costume by dressing
- 1:21:36Speaker 13: up as which.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Member of her own family?
- 1:21:40Speaker 11: Northwest, which is my second point. I'm already on the board.
- 1:21:42Speaker 5: Good job, Kyle. You're right.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Two points.
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: Sorry, I'm not really good at math.
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: She's got two dinghies.
- 1:21:46Speaker 5: The tallies confuse me sometimes. Sorry.
- 1:21:50Speaker 13: Okay. All right, Samantha, here's this last question for these Kanye.
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: West tickets, okay?
- 1:21:58Speaker 24: Okay.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:21:59Speaker 13: What was the name of the girl group Beyonce was
- 1:22:01Speaker 13: in before going solo?
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: Destiny's Child.
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: And that would be crazy!
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Yay!
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: Congratulations!
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: You know your pop culture.
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: Yeah, hold on, Samantha. We're going to set you up.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 1:22:15Speaker 9: Thank you, thank you.
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: Hey, tomorrow, by the way, we're going to have a
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: psychic on.
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: So if you want to predict the future, find out
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: what's going on in your life or talk to dead people,
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: we can do all that.
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: So there's this woman. I want to play this clip
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: for you. There's this woman.
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: She's in her SUV driving, and she sees another SUV
- 1:22:31Speaker 7: crash into a restaurant over the weekend. No one was hurt,
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: but she called 911. The reason this story is going
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: to viral is because she was in a banana Halloween costume.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: And the news goes and interviews her. So she's doing
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: a straight-up interview. But this is her talking. And keep
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: in mind, the whole time, she's got a banana costume on.
- 1:22:50Speaker 5: I'm actually going to school to be a future nurse.
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: It was just an instinct.
- 1:22:54Speaker 26: Like, you know, you see a hurt person, like, I
- 1:22:55Speaker 26: can't just see.
- 1:22:56Speaker 8: That and be like, oh, no, I'm going to go home.
- 1:22:58Speaker 13: I needed to at least call for help and make
- 1:23:00Speaker 13: sure he was okay.
- 1:23:01Speaker 7: And then they're like, back to you in the studio.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: And they never acknowledge that she's in a banana costume.
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: And the whole, like, I saw the clip and it's
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: freaking hilarious.
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: Oh, man. Halloween vibes. Kyle, what's coming up and what
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: we need to know today?
- 1:23:14Speaker 12: One of the biggest companies in the world is actually
- 1:23:16Speaker 12: offering thousands of dollars for employees to quit.
- 1:23:20Speaker 11: I will tell you who that is. I'll tell you
- 1:23:21Speaker 11: what you need to know next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: Hey.
- 1:23:26Speaker 13: John Jay and Rich wake you up.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: What do we need to know today?
- 1:23:32Speaker 12: Imagine showing up to work and finding out your company
- 1:23:34Speaker 12: is now offering 60,000 people money to leave. Not 60,000,
- 1:23:40Speaker 12: 60,000 people in your company are getting offered money to quit.
- 1:23:44Speaker 12: That's what's happening right now at Microsoft. Employees around the
- 1:23:47Speaker 12: world are being offered voluntary buyouts.
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: They're giving them six to nine months pay, some even more.
- 1:23:53Speaker 12: Um, it's happening as the company continues investing billions of
- 1:23:56Speaker 12: dollars into artificial intelligence.
- 1:23:57Speaker 11: And they're saying, look, we have to put our money here.
- 1:23:59Speaker 12: So while basically before you get kicked out, because AI,
- 1:24:05Speaker 12: we're going to pay you if you want to leave.
- 1:24:07Speaker 11: But if you stay, there's no word on how long
- 1:24:10Speaker 11: you'll be staying.
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: I mean, I'm sure they're like, if the price is right.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: Like what is 69 months?
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: That's a long time. Yeah.
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: That, that.
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: I do not envy that position. That's a tough position
- 1:24:21Speaker 11: to be in for those who work at Microsoft.
- 1:24:23Speaker 12: Dictionary.com just announced its.
- 1:24:26Speaker 11: 2026 word of the year is maxing.
- 1:24:29Speaker 12: You heard maxing added on to basically everything on social media.
- 1:24:33Speaker 11: It just basically means what it sounds like, overdoing.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Usually when they announce the word of the year, it's
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: the word that we're all sick of and would like
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: to see go away. And in this case, I think
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: maxing is one of those.
- 1:24:44Speaker 13: Yeah, but like maxing, it stemmed from that clavicular guy,
- 1:24:47Speaker 13: and I don't love this for his ego.
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: I know. I know.
- 1:24:50Speaker 12: Sleep maxing, looks maxing, fiber maxing, protein maxing, sport mom maxing.
- 1:24:56Speaker 11: I mean, whatever it is.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: DJ maxing.
- 1:24:57Speaker 11: You're overdoing your life.
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: DJ maxing.
- 1:24:59Speaker 11: It is now the word of the year.
- 1:25:02Speaker 12: This sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.
- 1:25:05Speaker 12: A doctor just performed surgery on a patient who was
- 1:25:08Speaker 12: 35 miles away using a robotic system to operate.
- 1:25:11Speaker 11: Without even being in the same room.
- 1:25:14Speaker 12: Doctors say technology like this could eventually mean people in
- 1:25:17Speaker 12: smaller communities won't have to travel hours to get specialized surgery.
- 1:25:20Speaker 12: It's like the future in medicine is here. Um, it's
- 1:25:25Speaker 12: really annoying when you see a price on the shelf
- 1:25:28Speaker 12: at a store and then you get up to the
- 1:25:30Speaker 12: register and it costs more. It's literally just happened to
- 1:25:33Speaker 12: me the other day. And now Arizona is actually joining
- 1:25:36Speaker 12: a lawsuit against dollar general for doing exactly that lawsuit claims.
- 1:25:40Speaker 12: Customers have been charged more than the advertised prices and
- 1:25:43Speaker 12: now the company could have to answer for it.
- 1:25:44Speaker 11: It's kind of, kind.
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: Of not cool.
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: Dollar general. I get the dollar general mixed up with
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: the other dollar stores, right?
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: Dollar tree.
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: Dollar Tree. Maybe that's it.
- 1:25:53Speaker 11: I love Dollar Tree.
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: So Dollar Tree, I think that's what's on Thomas right
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: over here, right over there.
- 1:25:56Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:25:57Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: And that's the one I go to for my nose spray.
- 1:25:59Speaker 7: And my wife was going the other day and I
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: have plenty of nose spray right now, but she was, Hey,
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: I'm going to Dollar Store.
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: Do you want anything? And I said, can you give
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: me the nose spray? She goes, yeah. So she goes
- 1:26:07Speaker 4: in there. She calls me. Guess what? It's now a spirit.
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: It's not a Dollar Tree.
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: What?
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: Those spirits pop up everywhere.
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: Is it going to turn back into a Dollar Tree?
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: How does a Dollar Tree? That store was packed all
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: the time. What happened?
- 1:26:21Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:26:22Speaker 11: That's pretty wild.
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: How sad.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:26:23Speaker 11: That's sad. This is actually wild.
- 1:26:26Speaker 12: Major League Baseball is testing a pretty crazy new rule
- 1:26:30Speaker 12: right here. It's in Scottsdale right now for the Fall League.
- 1:26:34Speaker 12: And they're making outfielders stand closer to the infield and
- 1:26:38Speaker 12: restricting where they move before the pitch, basically making it
- 1:26:41Speaker 12: harder for outfielders to catch like hot flies.
- 1:26:45Speaker 11: Or deep balls.
- 1:26:46Speaker 12: Really?
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: I wonder why they'd switch that.
- 1:26:47Speaker 12: They're doing it because the Major League Baseball apparently wants
- 1:26:51Speaker 12: more doubles and triples because it's more exciting for fans
- 1:26:54Speaker 12: to watch. So they want to make it extremely hard
- 1:26:57Speaker 12: for those outfielders to catch the balls.
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: The TikTok generation can't sit through nine innings of baseball.
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: It's too slow.
- 1:27:02Speaker 11: That's why banana ball is so important, like so popular.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: They changed the pitch clock so it does move faster.
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: The games do go faster.
- 1:27:09Speaker 11: It does move faster, yes.
- 1:27:11Speaker 12: But apparently this new rule that they're testing has already
- 1:27:14Speaker 12: worked because in one game that they were testing it in,
- 1:27:16Speaker 12: They had five triples, which was a league record.
- 1:27:19Speaker 11: They're testing it with minor league prospects right now.
- 1:27:22Speaker 12: But if it keeps going well and they think that
- 1:27:24Speaker 12: this could work, it may eventually change how Major League
- 1:27:28Speaker 12: Baseball is played.
- 1:27:30Speaker 11: And it would really suck for those outfielders.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: They should do it tonight. Isn't the game four tonight?
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Yeah. Milwaukee didn't seem to have any problems last night.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: They went like 10 to 1, something like that. They're
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: a game away from a sweep.
- 1:27:40Speaker 11: It would be big. And that's what you need to know.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: Jocelyn.
- 1:27:46Speaker 18: Hey.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: Hey.
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: All right, so people have been calling us and describing
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: their job in a few words, but also being creepy
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: and mysterious.
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: What's your job?
- 1:27:55Speaker 20: I take your sons and I dangle them upside down
- 1:27:59Speaker 20: for hours.
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: Your sons? Are you in Stranger Things?
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: I take your sons and I dangle them upside down
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: for hours. Maybe you're a gym teacher or gymnast teacher.
- 1:28:16Speaker 20: Yes, I am a boys gymnastics coach.
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: Oh, that's a good workout, right?
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: I love a good riddle.
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: How long have you been doing that?
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 1:28:25Speaker 20: I've been doing boys for about 15 years, and I
- 1:28:28Speaker 20: did girls before that.
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: Anybody that you ever trained became a famous gymnast?
- 1:28:34Speaker 19: Not yet.
- 1:28:35Speaker 26: I do the little ones, like, I don't know, five-year-olds
- 1:28:39Speaker 26: to about.
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: 10, 12-year-olds.
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: And my kids, all three of my boys did that.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: I loved it. It was great for them.
- 1:28:45Speaker 20: Yeah, both my sons are gymnasts also. My oldest is
- 1:28:48Speaker 20: at the Naval Academy.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:28:50Speaker 20: And he was on the national team, so that was something.
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: Oh, there you go. That should have been your answer.
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: That's a great answer. Way to go, Jocelyn.
- 1:28:58Speaker 11: Thanks.
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: Well, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 1:29:01Speaker 20: Yeah, have a great day, y'all.
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: You too.
