- 0:07It's six Eastern.

- 0:10This is a president of action.
- 0:11Coast to coast and around the world from the America Out Loud Talk Radio Studios.
- 0:16If he says he's serious about something, he means it.
- 0:19It's time for the truth be told with Booker Scott.
- 0:23The hated Honta virus is on cruise ships.
- 0:27Is this the same thing as COVID?
- 0:29In a lot of ways, it feels that way again.
- 0:31I hope not.
- 0:32Gerrymandering was the word of the week last week, and we're going to talk about that now with Matt Palumbo.
- 0:38I'm Booker.
- 0:39This is The Truth Be Told.
- 0:40As always on Mondays, we have Matt Palumbo, and we're going to switch things up a little bit different here, Matt.
- 0:46I'm going to let you start this hour with any subject that you want to talk about, instead of me going to my list and me starting it out.
- 0:53We're going to get the I hit the virus.
- 0:55We're going to get to Ilan Omar, Charlie Kirk, the China visit.
- 0:59We'll get to all of that.
- 1:01But before we do, let's get to whatever Matt wants to get to.
- 1:04Matt, what do you want to get to?
- 1:05Well, I don't know if this is cheating, but after this show, I'm going on a show to summarize the UK's election results.
- 1:12You're cheating on me or cheating on the subject.
- 1:16I mean, technically I'm shitting on the other shows.
- 1:18I'm going to use it here first.
- 1:20So it's less offensive to you then.
- 1:22Yeah, I guess.
- 1:22We're breaking.
- 1:25So yeah, let's do that.
- 1:27Obviously, we we normally talk about U.S.
- 1:30issues on this show, but it was a lot of uh wins on the right uh in terms of gerrymandering last week, and and also, and I and I know I'm not going directly into the topic yet, but there's also major wins in Illinois where uh every single Republican senator that was up for re-election that was being primaried that voted against redistricting.
- 1:51Indiana.
- 1:52Um Indiana, not a little Illinois.
- 1:54Indiana, not the Mike Pennsylvan state.
- 1:56Yeah, um, every single Republican except one that vote that just voted against uh gerrymandering to make the state more Republican, uh, lost their primary race.
- 2:05Uh so that was very good news there.
- 2:06And then there was, you know, to um steal and be talking about on the next show I'm on.
- 2:12Uh there's also great news across the pond in the UK, and that the reform UK Party, uh, which is now Nigel Farage's party, it's their right-wing populist party.
- 2:21And you know, granted, this is Europe we're talking about, so no matter how right-wing they are, they're always gonna be like, you know, support socialized medicine or some crazy regulations here or there, but it is seems to be the you know the best you could get if you're a Republican living overseas uh in the UK.
- 2:38Um there was local elections in the UK, and they were the number one seat getter.
- 2:43They once been like 1400 seats.
- 2:45Um, the labor party and the conservative party, um, not sure what the conservative party there actually conserves.
- 2:51That's I think just whatever the left believes 10 years prior, but they both got destroyed there.
- 2:56And it's just interesting in that, you know, like the U.S., the UK has basically had a two-party system for hundreds of years.
- 3:04Um, the smaller parties have been, you know, small to the point where um even if they do win seats, it's usually labor or conservative wins outright, and there's no need to form a coalition or anything.
- 3:15So they they've been basically irrelevant, all the third parties.
- 3:18So this is really the first time we've seen the two-party system there be broken.
- 3:23And what was the issue that that won reform UK?
- 3:27Well, it was all immigration.
- 3:28Um, they are seeing, like America, an unprecedented wave of immigration, legal and illegal, but a lot of it legal there.
- 3:35People who do not want to assimilate.
- 3:37And you know, the thing about America is, you know, despite any issues we may have with immigration, at least of the legal ones, they you know, tend to be, you know, there's at least some vetting going on.
- 3:49We have standards for how much income you have to have, whether or not you're gonna be um, you know, take from the system.
- 3:56Uh in Europe, it's basically a total free-for-all.
- 4:00Like it's you come in, we'll give you citizenship in a few years, and you cannot speak the language, you can be on welfare eternally, but there's no vetting whatsoever.
- 4:09So um that's been the major issue there.
- 4:12Uh, conservatives have you know, preside they are unfortunately presided over actually most of the mass immigration to the UK.
- 4:19Uh labor has continued that.
- 4:20I mean, they're ideologically totally in favor of it, um, and tried to moderate their stance ahead of the election uh on that issue, but you know, voters saw through that.
- 4:29So, you know, I think it is good news to see that even in Europe, which generally speaking is you know to the left of America in quite a lot of ways, especially on economics.
- 4:41Um, for a right-wing party to win there, I just think it's a good sign of things to come here.
- 4:45Couple of things that came to my mind as you were speaking about that election in the UK.
- 4:50Do you think that what is happening with illegal immigration in this country now that uh Donald Trump has effectively shut down the border?
- 4:58Is that a driving factor for the upcoming midterm?
- 5:01Since it appears to be fixed.
- 5:03Do you think that the conservatives, the Republicans here in this country, will just stay at home and not vote like they have been doing since November, or is that something still that can drive them to the polls?
- 5:15Well, you know, it's it's tough because you know, of all voters, unfortunately, it's you know, whatever happened two weeks prior that's gonna determine their vote, and advanced prices are still high, that is gonna hammer us despite how good anything else is.
- 5:28Um, but you know, Trump has objectively made a lot of games on immigration.
- 5:32He has really solved the border issue and proved that there was literally uh a magic switch you could just flick and all of a sudden there's no more thing on migration.
- 5:42That's that's really what it would seems like.
- 5:44Um, I will say I am a lot more optimistic heading into the midterms ahead of um how demoralized the left appears with redistricting efforts.
- 5:55Uh I don't even see people online like leftists saying, all right, guys, now you're really gonna outvote them.
- 6:00It's more like um we need to kill these people or ourselves.
- 6:04Like literally either or those are the two narratives thinking it's it's I want to kill my enemies or I want to kill myself.
- 6:09Those are the two responses I'm seeing from the left.
- 6:11Well, I have seen them say that.
- 6:12I have seen them we've got to go there.
- 6:14They're not stable people.
- 6:16Um, but I I will say with the ill in uh Illinois.
- 6:22Indiana.
- 6:22Why do I I've done this 80 times in a row?
- 6:25Well, they both start with eyes.
- 6:26So they both that's they're basically the same word.
- 6:29Yeah.
- 6:29Um with um with the Indiana um results.
- 6:34I mean, that was because Trump encouraged people to go out and vote and and vote against the people who would not um I guess cherry man to the map for the other.
- 6:43Well, do you could do you consider those that won in Indiana last week?
- 6:47They would be anti-Republican establishment.
- 6:51Maybe their own party in a similar way to those that won in the UK.
- 6:56And I was gonna get to that.
- 6:57Do you see that uh similarity there?
- 7:00Yes, for sure.
- 7:00Yes, for sure.
- 7:01So, you know, that yeah, that is the thing.
- 7:01So, you know, that that yeah, that is the thing.
- 7:03It's like you know, the the Trump Republican Party is a new party.
- 7:03It's like, you know, the Trump Republican Party is a new party.
- 7:06You know, if we were in a European country with 10 different political parties, there's no world in which Trump and Mitt Romney or Trump and George W.
- 7:06You know, if we were in a European country with 10 different political parties, there's no world in which Trump and Mitt Romney or Trump and George W.
- 7:15Bush are in the same party.
- 7:15Bush are in the same party.
- 7:16And Trump is, he has made it, you know, once again into a conservative Republican Party.
- 7:16And Trump is he has made it, you know, once again into a conservative Republican Party.
- 7:21I think it was kind of um I you know the party for at least 20 years before Trump, and maybe maybe longer.
- 7:21I think it was kind of um I, you know, the party for at least 20 years before Trump, and maybe maybe longer.
- 7:28I just haven't been in politics that long.
- 7:28I just haven't been in politics that long, but it really seemed like it wasn't actually interested in winning.
- 7:34It was just wanted to be this sort of permanent opposition where they would critique power but never actually hold it themselves and didn't really have any great plans for what to do when they got power.
- 7:44And yeah, I would like Republicans who, you know, while we agree that we want government to have as few functions as possible, that there are ones that have to get done and uh there are legitimate uses of power.
- 7:55So uh, you know, I think Trump is transforming the party for sure, too.
- 7:59I think that the Republican establishment party is still right where you described them.
- 8:04They still want to be that opposition party.
- 8:06They are not effective in governing.
- 8:09You can see that by what's happening in the Senate in the House of Representatives over the last year and a half now that Trump's been in office.
- 8:16Now let's move on to the Honda virus.
- 8:18Honta, Hanta, I'm not sure.
- 8:19How do you say it?
- 8:20Uh I'm I'm hearing Honda.
- 8:25Well, Barry.
- 8:27No, never heard of it.
- 8:28Don't know what that is.
- 8:29I don't want to know.
- 8:29Well, I'll not wear a mask.
- 8:31No one's wearing a mask.
- 8:33I have heard some people were claiming it has a 48% death rate, in which case there's there's nothing to do.
- 8:39It's just sit here and wait.
- 8:41Well, I'm gonna let most of the doctors that are on this network on America Out Loud Talk Radio deal with it because it's not my thing, nor is it Matt's, but I did want to address it here as we start this hour because um I I you know the University of Nebraska.
- 8:57Do you remember them when COVID first started?
- 9:00Because it started on cruise ships and people were being taken to the University of Nebraska where they have this special um quarantine area where it's triple door and they were CNN and other people on the outside of it.
- 9:13They were doing interviews, trying to talk to doctors.
- 9:15And I'm having these flashbacks, and I'm like, we are not going there with the Honta virus.
- 9:20And I so here, let me let you listen to Dr.
- 9:23Michael Olmsted.
- 9:24He was on uh CBS face the nation on Sunday.
- 9:27Listen to him.
- 9:28Actually, in terms of the ability to transmit to somebody else, it's only a rare person that does that.
- 9:34I mean, we've had many examples of people that were infected from most urine or feces contact in Argentina, for example, where this particular strain is never results in person to person transmission.
- 9:46It's a very rare exception.
- 9:48So, in that sense, that you may only need a limited amount of time, but it has to be uh one of those super spreaders that actually is the person sharing the virus with you.
- 9:57Matt, I have an idea.
- 9:58Instead of everybody else wearing masks, we get super spreaders to write super spreader across their forehead.
- 10:06Everybody just stay away.
- 10:07Don't you think that would work?
- 10:08I think that's a plan.
- 10:10Yeah, I would just say contain those people and you know, don't put them in nursing homes, yeah, for sure.
- 10:15No, I agree.
- 10:16Now let's get let's get to the big story last week.
- 10:18And you brought it up uh earlier was the gerrymandering that took place.
- 10:23Uh, we have Texas that did it for five Republican seats.
- 10:26Florida also concluded for four seats.
- 10:29Tennessee is the one that really got everybody uh going nuts.
- 10:33That was great because uh the way Memphis was split into three parts.
- 10:37And uh I talked about it on the show Friday night, but go ahead, let me get your thoughts on it.
- 10:42Well, well, with uh with Memphis, the way the Democrats are framing it as is black people are losing their last district, and they're making it from you know, they're trying to make it a racial issue instead of just being honest and saying, uh, listen, we're Democrats, so we want an extra Democrat district.
- 10:57I don't know why they what the point in lying is, but they're trying to well, actually, I take that back.
- 11:02It's uh once again do the whole everything is racism narrative.
- 11:06So they're saying, you know, they took away black district, but the representative is Steve Cohen, who is uh obviously not a black guy, and the woman favored to now leave the district as a black Republican.
- 11:16Oh, the irony.
- 11:18So it's clearly not a race thing, it's it's just which party uh wants you know what wants the seat.
- 11:24Yeah, Steve Cohen is a jerk, and he has been for a long time.
- 11:27I met him in 1986 when my ex-wife actually worked at the state legislature there for uh Annabel Clement O'Brien, and uh I forget the other guy's name.
- 11:38He was actually murdered by uh Tommy Low Tax Looper was his name.
- 11:43Low tax.
- 11:43He legally changed his name to Low Tax to run for office.
- 11:47But Steve Cohen was a jerk back then.
- 11:49Hopefully he is gone now, and maybe a black woman can finally represent Memphis in the form of a Republican.
- 11:56That may happen.
- 11:56Let's listen to this, Martha Raditz from CBS on Sunday.
- 12:00Virginia Democrats suffered a major setback on Friday when the state Supreme Court struck down a congressional map recently approved by voters that could have created four Democratic House districts.
- 12:10The court's majority found that the timing of the referendum process had violated the state's constitution.
- 12:16Virginia Democrats say they plan to challenge that decision.
- 12:20Meanwhile, serious democratic protesters charge state capitals in Louisiana.
- 12:30And Tennessee.
- 12:33When legislators there took steps to redraw current district maps that would be favorable to Republicans.
- 12:40Now, Matt, we knew that this Virginia thing was going to be reversed.
- 12:43As soon as voted on, it was illegal from the get-go.
- 12:47You have to go through the General Assembly to be able to put this on the ballot.
- 12:52Governor Spanbarger there, burger, whatever her name is, she just completely forgot about that.
- 12:58They went around that, they broke the law.
- 13:00This is not even going to go to Supreme Court.
- 13:02I know that there are people that are going to try to appeal it, but there's no one to appeal this to.
- 13:07The Supreme Court of Virginia has made the decision, and I don't see SCOTUS ever taking this because the election clause in the Constitution, it's all done in the state.
- 13:18The state uh put that in the Constitution by vote that it had to be done that way, and then they just went around it.
- 13:24I don't see SCOTUS taking this up.
- 13:26Uh, nor do I.
- 13:27Plus, we know how the shodas would rule on that.
- 13:29It would be um, we would say a lot of calls for packing the Supreme Court afterwards in the last um so after this, too.
- 13:37It seems like Republicans are gonna be up double digits on redistricting, and then you add in uh the voting rights acts uh being struck down, and those see those districts have to be redrawn.
- 13:47And I think that's another at least 12 to 20 seats, depending on the estimates I've seen.
- 13:53But if you look at um I saw some recent polling that basically Republic, you know, the the current map projection with all the redistricting is now 217 Republican seats, uh two uh I can't remember the the exact amount of Democrats, but I think it's only like 15 or 16 toss ups.
- 14:00Current map projection with all the redistricting is now 217 Republican seats.
- 14:05Uh two uh I can't remember the the exact amount of Democrats, but I think it's only like 15 or 16 toss-ups.
- 14:11Meaning, if that map is true, it is accurate about how the Republican seats will go.
- 14:11Meaning you know, if that map is true and is accurate about how the Republican seats will go, you know, they need to win less, what is it like five percent or less of the toss up seats to keep a majority?
- 14:18You know, they need to win less, what is like five percent or less of the toss-up seats to keep a majority.
- 14:24So that was unthinkable not too long ago.
- 14:24So that was unthinkable not too long ago, and it it's the first time I can think of in quite a while the
- 14:26And it's the first time I can think of in quite a while.
- 14:29The right nationally has actually wielded power and done it in a way to actually help uh their own you know, their own voter base.
- 14:36So very proud of the party, I will say on this.
- 14:39Um I think that a lot of the people that are I'm paying attention to on social media.
- 14:44There is a fear from me that a lot of people are gonna think, well, now it's fixed.
- 14:50We don't have to do anything.
- 14:51And that would be that's the last thing that needs to happen.
- 14:54Although someone um drew like a hypothetical maximum gerrymander map where like what if every legislature, every blue state drew it like the most blue possible map.
- 15:07Um you know, logistically speaking, and if every right uh red state did the same thing, Republicans would have like a 230 seat majority.
- 15:16Yeah.
- 15:17Um so if we really saw the escalate into total chaos, and both sides are willing to do every single thing they could possibly do to gerrymander, it would still favor the right.
- 15:27So I I don't know.
- 15:28It's pretty cool.
- 15:29We actually won this battle, but when they were doing the re the Virginia redistricting, and then um when Indiana uh failed to do theirs.
- 15:39Thank you.
- 15:40Uh I thought, like, oh man, we might actually come out in the losing end of this, but it seems like that's not gonna be the case.
- 15:45And not only that, Democrats, I think, spent what, like 80 million dollars in Virginia?
- 15:49Yeah, it was 70 million.
- 15:5070 million.
- 15:51So that money's gone forever.
- 15:52Thank God.
- 15:53For nothing.
- 15:54Yeah, they blew it for nothing.
- 15:55Let's listen to this from CNN with Scott Jennings.
- 15:58Listen to this conversation.
- 15:59Black people will elect uh people who will actually represent them, who have their best interests at heart.
- 16:04And what Republicans have done in Tennessee is dismantle the power for black people to have their voice.
- 16:09They did the same thing in Texas because they said they thought Latinos were going to swing for Republicans.
- 16:16There are black people that are represented.
- 16:19I'm I'm black and I got a Republican president right now.
- 16:22Black people don't elect black people based on race.
- 16:25They elect people that are aligned with their moral, their beliefs, and justice, and just took that away from them in Tennessee and in other states.
- 16:32I just I just disagree that the only person, the only kind of a politician who can elect black people in Congress must be a Democrat.
- 16:39This is just an artificial Democratic Party.
- 16:42That's not what I'm saying.
- 16:43Black voters are still.
- 16:44Well, what was she saying?
- 16:45Or what was she trying to say?
- 16:46I think I have no idea.
- 16:48And then when she was like, you know, we can be rebound, like we can be re represented by white people.
- 16:53I have a white president who you didn't vote for.
- 16:56Didn't vote for and don't support in any way.
- 16:59And Jennings, I don't know.
- 17:01He didn't bring up that a black, I don't think he brings up in that clip that it's probably going to be actually a black woman who uh who ends up re-representing the scene, like we were just saying.
- 17:08No, he didn't.
- 17:09But yeah, that is true.
- 17:10Let's go to one more clip here.
- 17:11Martha Raditz, because we are talking about the midterm, and the Democrats, well, really, there are 25 seats in the middle.
- 17:18They kind of determine the power of the House in every election midterm or in the general election for president.
- 17:25And in this case, in this year, 2026, the Democrats think they can do um something about 44 of those seats.
- 17:34Let's listen to this.
- 17:36Is tighter than ever and could come down to a handful of swing districts here in the battleground Keystone State.
- 17:44Democrats have identified four districts here in Pennsylvania.
- 17:47They think they can flip in the midterm.
- 17:49That's more than any other state, and it includes the district here in Lehigh Valley.
- 17:55Republican Congressman Ryan McKenzie flipped Pennsylvania's seventh district seat by just one percentage point in 2024, about 4,000 votes.
- 18:06The city of Allentown, now at the heart of Democratic efforts to take back the House.
- 18:33Lots of different places in Pennsylvania.
- 18:35If this is a blue flip, blue wave that starts here, that has huge implications for life in Washington, DC.
- 18:43Matt, it always comes down to who goes out and votes.
- 18:46And it's going to be key.
- 18:48I have seen a lot of Democrats that are using the gerrymander of last week as a reason to get people energized to go out and vote.
- 18:57I don't know how that's going to work, but it's going to be interesting to watch over the next few months.
- 19:01Don't forget, primaries are going on now until September.
- 19:05Keep up with who you should vote for in your own area.
- 19:08That includes things like school boards, uh, non-party affiliated judges are very important.
- 19:14Keep up with those primaries in your local elections and make sure you go out to vote.
- 19:19More.

- 21:38Matt, let's get into some conversation here about Charlie Kirk real quick, because I think the court made a big decision this week and one that I was glad to see that every bit of this trial is going to be on the television, so everybody can see it.
- 21:51Complete transparency.
- 21:53Yes.
- 21:54I think every, you know, court trial should be at least recorded or have a recording somewhere.
- 21:59I don't know if that is already the case.
- 22:02But you know, I'm glad this one is going to be televised as well.
- 22:06Now, the I will say though, I do have I am torn in, you know, will this help conspiracy like squash certain conspiracy theories, or will it help amplify them in that?
- 22:19How do you think it'll help it?
- 22:20How do you believe it would help it?
- 22:22Well, stuff being clipped out of context.
- 22:26So you know, there was the report from the Daily Mail where you know it was claiming they couldn't trace the bullet to the gun of the shooter, but the context was well, the bullet was so destroyed.
- 22:38That's the reason why.
- 22:40This is very common means nothing.
- 22:41It was not conclusive, is what they said.
- 22:44They said it was not conclusive at the time.
- 22:46And they're going to have it uh checked by the FBI, who has other types of ways to to look at that bullet.
- 22:52So go ahead, because I know that they took off with that.
- 22:56Yeah, so just stuff like that, or taking things out of context, or you know, it on Netflix, and you can do a documentary where they are trying to um claim a guilty person is actually innocent.
- 23:08Basically, they just relitigate the case, but only show you the defense's argument.
- 23:12So I mean, just giving a one-sided account of uh the facts and give a very misleading picture.
- 23:19I mean, on the other hand, I think everyone's mind is already kind of made up, and you have if you have some like schizophrenic ideas about this shooting.
- 23:26I mean it's probably not going to be changed either way, but um I I don't know.
- 23:31I guess my prediction overall that it will be a good thing, but I I am predicting that that we are gonna see a lot of out of context clips and all that just for clickbait.
- 23:40Uh absolutely, because that's what those people do.
- 23:43You know, they don't deal with the truth, they only deal with half truth, the which is lies, and those are the best, the best way to uh try to get people to believe what it is that you're trying to sell them.
- 23:54Uh you know, it's creating a narrative.
- 23:56Well, let's go to Rebecca Woodland.
- 23:58She was on Fox, she's a trial attorney.
- 24:00Here's what she had to say about it.
- 24:02The judge needs to show the world what has happened.
- 24:05Let there be transparency in the legal proceedings.
- 24:08The prosecution said the courts aren't going to be in any way affected.
- 24:12The jury pool's not going to be affected by cameras within the courtroom.
- 24:16The jury pool's going to know anyway, because there'll be media coverage no matter what.
- 24:21But cameras in the courtroom will allow for the prosecution to show the truth for the all of these conspiracy theories.
- 24:28We have so many that don't really make any sense.
- 24:32Let them be dispelled by the facts and the evidence in the case.
- 24:36Show the world every day.
- 24:38There's nothing to hide in a courtroom.
- 24:40Matt, you and I have been together on this since the beginning is that there has never been more evidence in a murder case in the history of America than that that they have on Tyler Robinson for murdering Charlie Kirk last September.
- 24:55It was uh, you know, amazing that it was on television, it was terrible, but this trial should be on television as well.
- 25:02And finally, maybe a lot of these people that have been swayed by influencers trying to get them to believe in some conspiracy theory, like Candace Owens, for instance, who says the Egyptians and the Israelis are involved, and uh that's that can be over with it for a lot of people.
- 25:19And I understand what you're saying that they'll they'll use some clips and they'll try to continue to spin so that they don't have egg on their face, but I still believe that most people are going to pay attention to this and say, okay, this guy did it because it's obvious he did it.
- 25:34Go ahead.
- 25:34Well, yeah, the Egyptians and Israelis are involved because we know the Egyptians and Israelis just love each other and want to work together.
- 25:41Uh no, listen, in in most of these cases, it's the simplest explanation is the true one.
- 25:46And in this case, the uh the options are um the leftist dating and transgender who confessed to the crime is guilty and not um some you know team up involved, some team involving a Mossad in Egypt for some reason.
- 26:00He confessed multiple times, not just once, but there were multiple confessions by him.
- 26:06His own father turned him in.
- 26:08I don't know what else people need to see.
- 26:11Uh, you know, it just it's bizarre to me that people will believe someone like Candace Owens and the crap that she is trying to sell.
- 26:18Let's go to Il on Omar.
- 26:20She was in the news last week.
- 26:21Here is Kaylee McEnaney on Fox News.
- 26:24Fox News Alert, Ilhan Omar missed Tuesday's deadline for Minnesota Republicans to turn over documents in the Minnesota Feeding Our Futures fraud scandal.
- 26:32Democrats blocked an effort to subpoena the Congresswoman, all as we learn that Omar's name came up six times in the case against Amy Bach, the founder of Feeding Our Future.
- 26:43Now, Bach spearheaded the scheme, which stole federal funds intended for children, and was convicted of wire fraud conspiracy and bribery.
- 26:51Ilhan Omar's name first came up in an email chain with Bach back in February 2021.
- 26:57The subject line read, help with USDA food program and a message to Omar's office.
- 27:03Now, about two weeks later, Bach emailed Omar's off office with the subject line, FNS approves Minnesota School P E B T plan.
- 27:11Then one day later, Bach exchanged messages with this feeding our future employee who fled the country after he was indicted in 2022.
- 27:20The subject line of their emails was Ilhan's office.
- 27:24And the emails kept flowing after that.
- 27:26In March, Bach emailed Omar's office again about the state's school food program.
- 27:31There were also text messages between Bach and Omar's office, which was uncovered during a raid of Bach's Minnesota House.
- 27:39Now, while we know Omar's office was communicating with a now convicted fraudster, we don't know the contents of those messages or if Omar herself engaged in any wrongdoing.
- 27:48In a jailhouse interview with Fox, this is how Bach described those conversations.
- 27:54Did you have any conversations with uh Elon Omar that make you kind of think twice now?
- 28:00I've never actually spoken to her.
- 28:00I've never actually spoken to her.
- 28:02Um I had spoken to members of her office.
- 28:02Um, I had spoken to members of her office.
- 28:07It was always really general, um, mostly pertaining to how the Department of App Um, excuse me, Department of Education was handling applications.
- 28:07It was always really general, um, mostly pertaining to how the Department of App um, excuse me, Department of Education was handling applications.
- 28:16Um, and the approval or denial of those.
- 28:16Um, and the approval or denial of those.
- 28:20Matt, I believe there are a couple of things here that we can talk about.
- 28:20Matt, I believe there are a couple of things here that we can talk about.
- 28:24One is the obviously the fraud in Minnesota, but Ilan Omar not doing what she was supposed to do.
- 28:24One is the obviously the fraud in Minnesota, but Ilan Omar not doing what she was supposed to do, the subpoena failing in Minnesota because it took two-thirds of the vote, so she will not be subpoenaed there in Minnesota.
- 28:38So I think that's the first part.
- 28:39Let's talk about that.
- 28:41Uh well, I I know we we have to say allegedly.
- 28:45So I think she's allegedly uh guilty as hell here.
- 28:49Uh I mean a million things.
- 28:51A starting from the whole uh, you know, brother incident that even JD Vance says there's evidence for.
- 28:58Um, if that's the case, and that can be proven, there is a possibility she could actually end up being denaturalized as well.
- 29:06Um I will take a deportation over criminal charges any day of the week.
- 29:10So that would be nice.
- 29:11But her net worth as well recently went from being over 30 million dollars to 100,000, which she blamed on her accountant.
- 29:22Yeah.
- 29:23And uh if you have 100,000 to your name, um you know, you you're pretty you're having you're you'd be pretty much uh pretty aware that you don't have 30 million dollars to your name in signing that financial disclosure.
- 29:36In fact, it's the weirdest thing ever as a politician.
- 29:38You would want people to think you have less than what you have, not more.
- 29:41Right, which is what I think is really happening here.
- 29:43That's the way I think she's revising it downward.
- 29:46Um, but but you'd never do it.
- 29:47You you'd never have a hundred grand to your name as a politician and claim you have 30 because you know it could make you look out of touch or whatever.
- 29:54Uh but the winery as well that her husband claimed to have woman had just mysteriously shuddered recently.
- 30:00Um, and that would is what I believe uh a large source of that wealth was.
- 30:04So uh just a very weird situation there as well.
- 30:07There's gonna be so many different angles to go after her.
- 30:10Well, one thing that I want to talk about with this is the Minnesota fraud.
- 30:14We know that there has been about 300 million dollars in fraud in Minnesota that they have convictions on there is more that will be coming, obviously.
- 30:23But I want to go back to when this story blew up with Nick Shirley reporting it because it was reported that it was nine billion dollars, and then a lot of people on social media said it was 18 billion.
- 30:32It was 19 billion.
- 30:34Well, the entire amount of money that was given to Minnesota during the time period in question was 18 billion dollars.
- 30:41It was never gonna be 18 billion.
- 30:42The 9 billion came from a quote from the U.S.
- 30:45attorney there who said there could be might be as much as up to 9 billion dollars in fraud, and everybody took off with that number.
- 30:53The problem I have with those great big numbers that there is no corroboration and you can't prove is that everybody's gonna say it's a lie.
- 31:01And then when the truth comes out, and maybe it's 700 million, maybe it's a billion, which is bad and it should be.
- 31:08The story's gonna be about the fact that you were a conspiracy theorist and said it was nine billion.
- 31:12And I have a problem with that.
- 31:14And even my old neighbor from 15 years ago, he sent me a message over the weekend on Messenger on Facebook.
- 31:21And uh do you know anything about the Biden's financial situation right now?
- 31:25From Hunter to Joe Biden.
- 31:27The fact is they're about broke.
- 31:30So they don't have they don't have any money.
- 31:32If they do, they've hidden it somewhere and they're not living like they have that kind of money.
- 31:36But he sent this to me because he says that this is official leaked document.
- 31:40Ukrainian kickback records.
- 31:42I don't know if you've seen this going around social media.
- 31:44Joe Biden and his family got 92 million dollars.
- 31:49Mitch McConnell, 89 million.
- 31:51Nancy Pelosi, 86 million.
- 31:53Chuck Schumer, 66 million.
- 31:55Lindsey Graham got 62 million.
- 31:56Mitt Romney, 71 million.
- 31:58This is bull crap.
- 32:00This is not true.
- 32:01This didn't happen.
- 32:02There's no evidence of this, and those types of things make the truth harder to get out when you're throwing around these types of numbers that cannot be corroborated, and they're nowhere near the truth.
- 32:14Uh yeah, for sure.
- 32:15I mean, we always want to be accurate.
- 32:17And it is you're totally right that the directionality of the fraud matters, and that if we say it's a hundred million and it's a billion, it's wow, it's ten times the worst than fraud.
- 32:30We say if we say it's ten billion and then it's one, it's C you guys were off by ten.
- 32:34Right.
- 32:34This isn't even a story.
- 32:35Why are you making a story out of it?
- 32:37Yeah, yeah.
- 32:37You know, and uh a billion would be a big story if you hadn't said it was gonna be 10.
- 32:42I will say, you know, there there were just a few blocks where Shirley was documenting like tens of millions.
- 32:47So I think it will definitely be into the billions.
- 32:50But yes, you're right.
- 32:50We don't we we'll never know the exact number.
- 32:53Uh you know, and and well, actually, we may never truly know the exact number.
- 32:57No, I don't think so.
- 32:58But could approach it, hopefully.
- 32:59Um yeah, and unfortunately, we'll probably recover, you know, one or two cents of a dollar of the whole thing by the end of it.
- 33:05Big story coming up this week, Matt, is the visit to China with Donald Trump and Melania Trump.
- 33:11They are heading there to meet uh Xi Jinping.
- 33:14This is gonna be an interesting visit.
- 33:16Uh, you know, it's gonna include what's going on in Iran.
- 33:19China has been pulling away from Iran over this.
- 33:22Uh, you have Taiwan is going on, uh, trade, the uh uh the tariffs that Donald Trump put on will be a part of the conversation.
- 33:30You have artificial intelligence, semiconductors.
- 33:33It's a big trip right now this week.
- 33:36Yeah, I uh I it's actually my first time hearing that it is from you.
- 33:39So I I also get my news from the show as of a commentator on the show.
- 33:43Uh that I somehow missed that one.
- 33:46Um, it's um what is um you said they're pulling back on the relationship with Iran.
- 33:53So uh you have now tell me more.
- 33:55Well, yeah, they have been pulling back as a result of not being able to get oil.
- 34:00And I think that from what I understand from people that they are frustrated with Iran and uh with what's going on.
- 34:08So um, you know, it's affecting trade, it's in front uh, you know, China's uh economy is in bad shape.
- 34:14They're not in great shape, so they can't stand a lot of inflation, and they need oil, and they're not getting it.
- 34:20So I think another part of this visit is Donald Trump trying to sell American oil to China, which will then put a wedge between countries like Russia and America, Iran and America, the BRICS Nations.
- 34:31So we'll have to we'll have to keep an eye on this.
- 34:34It's gonna be interesting.
- 34:35The X uh will be coming here to America uh pretty soon.
- 34:38Let's listen to Ted Liu.
- 34:40He was on Face of the Nation.
- 34:41He's one of my favorites.
- 34:42I know you love him too, don't you, Matt?
- 34:44Oh god, no.
- 34:46Secretary Rubio said Taiwan will likely be discussed during President Trump's visit to China this week to meet with Xi Jinping.
- 34:54This is a hugely consequential summit.
- 34:57Um on Friday, Taiwan's Parliament proved 25 billion dollars in funds to buy more American weapons.
- 35:0025 billion dollars in funds to buy more American weapons.
- 35:03Are you largely supportive at this point of the Trump administration's willingness to strengthen Taiwan's defense?
- 35:03Are you largely supportive at this point of the Trump administration's willingness to strengthen Taiwan's defense?
- 35:10Both Democratic and Republican administrations have had the exact same policy, which is to preserve the current status quo, and we're trying to keep China from doing anything stupid in Indo-Pacific, including a military conflict.
- 35:10Both Democratic and Republican administrations have had the exact same policy, which is to preserve the current status quo, and we're trying to keep China from doing anything stupid in the Pacific, including a military conflict.
- 35:24And I just want to emphasize that the Iran war has shown that we need a brand new strategy.
- 35:24And I just want to emphasize that the Iran war has shown that we need a brand new strategy in the Indo-Pacific, because in any prolonged conflict with China or Russia, the U.S.
- 35:36will run out of defensive munitions.
- 35:38We already started running out of defensive munitions in a war that last year.
- 35:41Well, we're not running out of munitions yet, but it does take a lot of munitions to do what was doing uh what was going on in Iran and what has been going on.
- 35:51So I don't think that's a bad point that he's making there, Matt.
- 35:54But uh, you know, we it's gonna be interesting to watch what happens here with Donald Trump and Xi and China.
- 36:00I really sense that things are changing in the world.
- 36:03I think Donald Trump on the world stage over the last year and a half, he's been incredible.
- 36:08I think everything that he's done has uh been perfect.
- 36:12You know, I think well, I'll take that back.
- 36:14I the AIPA, the tariffs uh invoked under IBA, I think was a stretch, and I think that that cost him obviously we're paying back 166 billion dollars in tariffs.
- 36:25So I I think that was probably a misstep.
- 36:27There were other um laws that he could have invoked uh to put tariffs on.
- 36:33And I know that there are limitations on those other laws, but it was uh a little bit of something is better than uh nothing of something, if that makes any sense.
- 36:42And yeah, that's what we ended up getting because uh AIPA was invoked there.
- 36:46Uh yeah, that I mean then I mean, obviously the way that um the Iran conflict has been dragging on has not been ideal.
- 36:53I mean, it was initially gonna be I think a six and eight-week uh endeavor was the time frame.
- 36:59We're obviously well beyond that.
- 37:00And uh my uh I I I have to do a double take every time I see gas prices, and I think a lot of other people are probably in the same boat.
- 37:08So I mean, obviously, you know, away from the fact that it's um you know, uh, you know, it's causing a bit of financial strain, and that could end up blowing up on us in the midterms, among other issues, but um, but we'll see.
- 37:22Well, and I think Donald Trump is kind of stuck here on this Iran thing.
- 37:26I think the right thing to do, the right thing to do for the world and the right thing to do for America is to finish it.
- 37:32And I don't know how long that's gonna take.
- 37:35But as you said, the midterm is coming up here in five or six months, and with gas at $4.50, $475.
- 37:42That's not gonna win any Republican seeds.
- 37:45And then you have two years of impeachments coming on.
- 37:48So, you know, he's trapped.
- 37:49He's cornered.
- 37:51And Iran is proving that they can just keep lasting.
- 37:54They and that's been their history as well.
- 37:57The throughout the the world history with Iran and fighting um wars, they somehow last and they outlast people to the point where they give up.
- 38:08And I would hate to see that Donald Trump doesn't really finish the job here.
- 38:11And I'm mixed too, so I can only imagine how Donald Trump feels.
- 38:15Everything that he's saying in military that we had kicked their ass.
- 38:19There's no doubt about that.
- 38:20But now what?
- 38:21You have the Strait of Ormo's that is not allowing the the ships to go through.
- 38:26It has oil, it has other products that are needed for the world, and um, it's kind of a mess in some ways, and it's gonna have to take some intestinal fortitude for Trump to see this through to that end.
- 38:38Otherwise, it is all for nothing.
- 38:41And you know, everything that we did was nothing uh done for nothing, including the lives of 13 Americans.
- 38:47Thoughts on that.
- 38:50Yeah, I mean it's you know, how do we finish it up when we don't even know who we're supposed to negotiate with?
- 38:57We don't even know who we don't even know who's in charge yet.
- 38:59It's some allegedly gay guy who's also crippled that we haven't seen, or is it someone else?
- 39:05I mean, no one really knows.
- 39:06So even Trump is in uh reference that.
- 39:08So uh yeah, I I don't know.
- 39:10I mean, it's I think you are your silent.
- 39:17I think I literally have no idea what how the hell we get out of this.
- 39:19I'm like, I'm like trying to brainstorm as if I'm gonna solve this within five minutes of the case.
- 39:23But I think you're I think your sounds are the way American people feel about it right now.
- 39:28You know, I think we just don't know what to say.
- 39:31If we're supporters of Donald Trump generally, we're looking at this going, I'm not so sure.
- 39:37And you know what I mean?
- 39:39And we want to get out of it, and he probably does too.
- 39:42But how do you do it and not finish the job?
- 39:45And that's the problem.
- 39:46We're gonna get out of it like this.
- 39:48We're gonna push a button to start a commercial.
- 39:50We'll be back in a minute.

- 41:20And coming up in just a few minutes, it is unleashed the political news hour.
- 41:24I'm Booker Scott, along with Matt Palumbo here on a Monday night.
- 41:28It is Mondays with Matt.
- 41:30Thank you for joining us here tonight.
- 41:32Got some more things to talk about before this hour ends.
- 41:34I want to talk about the LA mayor race and Spencer Pratt.
- 41:38Did you see the debate last week?
- 41:40What are you thinking about uh Spencer Pratt?
- 41:42He's doing awesome.
- 41:43I mean I had no idea who he was.
- 41:46I guess my wife had watched uh the reality show that made him famous 20 years ago, so she was very excited to see him on there.
- 41:52But uh I it seems like reality show people are very good at politics.
- 41:57So people who are naturally good at speaking off the cuff and playing characters and knowing how to present themselves in different situations, and I mean that's Trump's rise was reality TV.
- 42:00Playing characters and knowing how to present themselves in different situations.
- 42:03And I mean, that's Trump's rise was reality TV.
- 42:06Sean Duffy got his sword on reality TV, and now maybe Spencer Pratt.
- 42:06Sean Duffy got his sword on reality TV, and now maybe Spencer Pratt.
- 42:10So I don't I it's funny, but I heard he was on the show he was on.
- 42:10So uh I don't I it's funny, but I heard he was on the show he was on, I think it's called the Hills.
- 42:15I think it's called the Hills.
- 42:16He was like the most unlikable character and had a reputation of being like uh a jerk with anger issues and then among other problems.
- 42:16He was like the most unlikable character and had a reputation of being like a jerk with anger issues and then among other problems.
- 42:23But I'm assuming that to some extent that's just a character he was playing.
- 42:24But I'm assuming that to some extent that's just a character he was playing.
- 42:27I would think so.
- 42:27I would think so.
- 42:28You think, yeah.
- 42:29So I mean I think.
- 42:29I mean, I think they all kind of do that to some extent.
- 42:31But anyway, but as they as it comes to pressure relates to the LA mayor's race, he was the most normal person up there on the debate stage.
- 42:40He never got flustered.
- 42:41He was you could tell too when the other people were speaking, everything they said was something they had rehearsed beforehand, or scripted and made sure it was poll tested or whatever the process was.
- 42:55Well, probably was just speaking off the cuff.
- 42:58Um, you know, like the one woman, there's this Indian woman who's in the LA City Council that's running.
- 43:03I I noticed like she would repeat certain things, a certain talking points over and over and over throughout the debate.
- 43:10Like she would randomly keep mentioning, you know, as a mother in the race, and it's like, okay, we heard you the past four times, but but I guess one of your talking points was I'm running for office as a mother, so she knew so it was one of those things you just keep repeating and not even realizing what you're doing.
- 43:24And it worked.
- 43:26He almost like took the place of the moderators at certain times.
- 43:30It was really, you know, if anyone hasn't seen it, you can just find highlights on YouTube in you know 10 minutes and get the whole summary there.
- 43:37It's very it was worth watching.
- 43:39Spencer Pratt was in Palace in Pala Spencer Pratt was in Palisades where the fire happened in January, and he was there taking questions from residents there.
- 43:49Here is an exchange with uh resident.
- 43:54In the sense, I mean your politics are obviously very very very different, but in the sense that you've really harnessed the power of social media to get your message out.
- 44:01What do you think of that comparison?
- 44:03You know, the one thing I connect with is I know he promised his voters like the subway will be free, and I'm promising my voters, the Metro Metro buses, the Metro trains, they will be free from urine, feces, stabbing, attacks.
- 44:19So that's kind of similar.
- 44:21Those we both had free things for public transportation, but you know, I think he connected with people because they felt like change.
- 44:29They wanted change.
- 44:30That message would never connect here because we've already been doing the socialist experiment pretty much for six plus years, and it's failed here in Los Angeles.
- 44:40So I think my message is why it's resonating on social media is it's the truth.
- 44:44It's authentic.
- 44:45It's from my heart.
- 44:45I didn't want to be a politician.
- 44:47I'm standing in what happened because of failed politicians.
- 44:51That's why I'm here.
- 44:52I don't want to be, I want to go in and change LA so that this never happens to anybody.
- 44:57A lot of people are like, oh, he only cares about Palisades.
- 45:00This isn't coming back for a long time.
- 45:02Not fighting for other communities.
- 45:04This is gonna happen to a lot of people in the next four years.
- 45:07There's less firefighters now than January 7th.
- 45:10There's 45 less firefighters.
- 45:12We are not prepared.
- 45:13Don't listen to Mayor Bass.
- 45:14If you live in the Hollywood Hills, Sunland to Hunga, Bel Air, the Valley.
- 45:18The dead brushes are anyway, Matt.
- 45:20Like you said, I think he does relate to people on social media.
- 45:23He just is real honest uh about things.
- 45:27And we'll see.
- 45:27Do you think he has a real shot at winning that race?
- 45:31Because I don't let me uh look it up on College.
- 45:34Okay, I don't believe he does.
- 45:36Someone asked me about it the other day.
- 45:37Well, what about Spencer Pratt?
- 45:38I liked him in the debate.
- 45:40I said he has no shot.
- 45:41So you're gonna correct us.
- 45:43He's at 32% on College.
- 45:46Okay, I I will stay with my predictions.
- 45:49One in three for a Republican in LA is pretty crazy.
- 45:52Karen Bass and about 50%, and the rest is that woman Nisha Ramon, the city council.
- 45:58The mother, the mother person.
- 45:59The mother, the mother of the mother.
- 46:01So I'm gonna stay with my prediction that Spencer Pratt doesn't have a chance in hell to win in Los Angeles.
- 46:06Actually, I I will go on the record and say I actually think he's gonna pull it off.
- 46:10Really?
- 46:11Okay.
- 46:11Well, we're really we can play in his back when I pull it.
- 46:14Okay, I will I will write this down.
- 46:16I'll bookmark it so we can go back to it.
- 46:18I say bass will win again.
- 46:20The communist bass will win because people in Los Angeles are just stupid.
- 46:24Then let's go to more Spencer Pratt.
- 46:26After CBS embarrassed Karen Bass by fact-checking her debate lies about the Palisades fire, they clearly got the call.
- 46:33CBS film with me on my burnt out lot for over an hour talking about crime, housing, affordability, things that voters care about.
- 46:41And they turned it over to Karen Bass's PR team to edit it into a comical five-minute hit piece with clips from the hills.
- 46:49They can't beat my ideas, they can't beat me in the debates, so they gotta try to turn my campaign into a side show.
- 46:55People are done with these skeezy political tricks, and I'm done with CBS.
- 46:59They should release the full unedited interview.
- 47:02The voters deserve to hear from their next mayor.
- 47:05Do you know when that election is, Matt?
- 47:07I don't even know what it is, but maybe maybe there's time.
- 47:11I think it's June 2nd.
- 47:12I don't know why I think that, but that's why I'm not sure.
- 47:14We'll go with June 2nd, and I'm gonna stick with uh with my prediction there.
- 47:19And when it comes to California, I'm gonna stick to uh the Democrat there as well because uh, you know, Steve Hilton, I guess he's doing a pretty good job in running that uh Chad Bianco, he has disappeared since Swalwell did.
- 47:34You don't hear him uh being talked about anymore.
- 47:36So I guess it comes down to Steve Hilton and maybe two Democrats, and I think ultimately it's gonna be a Democrat in California.
- 47:44Unfortunately, if you're in California, you're listening to this and you're a Republican, please go vote support for the Republican.
- 47:51Uh but uh I I just have to call it the way I see it.
- 47:54And I'm usually pretty right.
- 47:56Unfortunately, in this case, yeah.
- 47:59Yeah, in this case, unfortunately.
- 48:01Let's move on.
- 48:02Also, yeah, go ahead.
- 48:03I did check it.
- 48:04It is uh June 2nd is the mayoral.
- 48:06Okay.
- 48:07And again, keep up with your primaries wherever you live, know when they are, get out there and vote, and make sure you know the issues, the candidates and really races like school board and judges, those can get away from you.
- 48:21Uh, they've gotten away from me before.
- 48:22I've gone in to vote, and I'm don't have a clue when it comes to 10 judges, and I vote for five of them.
- 48:29I don't have any idea.
- 48:30I'm just going by their name, so make sure you pay attention to that.
- 48:34Let's uh look at uh South Florida real quick and what is coming out about a possible end of the grand jury that is taking place for Russia Gate.
- 48:43Have you heard anything about that?
- 48:45Uh actually, no.
- 48:46I I didn't know we were so north against stuff.
- 48:48So yeah, yeah.
- 48:49Well you have Comey and Brennan, I guess, are being investigated for the origins of that, which means they would have to put together a conspiracy uh case, a Rico case there.
- 49:00A Rico case there.
- 49:01Uh Cash Patel says there is evidence to bring a strong case of conspirators.
- 49:01Uh Cash Mattel says there is evidence to bring a strong case of conspirators.
- 49:09And that was uh and and that was last week, as a matter of fact, when he said that.
- 49:09And that was uh and and that was last week, as a matter of fact, when he said that.
- 49:14And then you have John Solomon that is talking about the 2020 cover-up of the election.
- 49:14And then you have John Solomon that is talking about the 2020 cover-up of the election.
- 49:19There are still a lot of questions about the 2020 cover-up.
- 49:19There are still a lot of questions about the 2020 cover-up.
- 49:22I'm wondering what happened with Fulton County after the FBI went and raided that.
- 49:22I'm wondering what happened with Fulton County after the FBI went and rated that.
- 49:26You had uh what was his name?
- 49:26You had uh, what was his name?
- 49:28Chris Kreb of the Cis.
- 49:28Chris Kreb of the CISA that said it was the cleanest best election ever.
- 49:33Oh, yeah.
- 49:34Yeah, you remember that.
- 49:36Yeah, we'll never exist.
- 49:38Exactly.
- 49:38Let's go to John Solomon here, hear what he says about the 2020 election.
- 49:43There is a growing body of evidence, compliments of uh DNI Gabbard and FBI director Cash Patel and CIA director John Ratcliffe, that the government was aware of foreign intrusions in our elections starting in 2020, 2022, 2024, and that there was a effort to keep this information from the people in the government who most needed to know about it.
- 50:06The president of the United States, the Congress, which has a statutory right to be notified anytime there's been in a foreign intrusion in our government.
- 50:14The evidence that we unveiled this morning, which are in class of unclassified documents that were transmitted around the intelligence community after Tulsi Gab Gabbard's dig, its director's initiative group looked at some records.
- 50:26Have some bombshells.
- 50:28There's an allegation that a CIA analyst was asked to change CIA documents to hide foreign influence efforts in the 2020 election.
- 50:36There's an allegation that they massage President Trump's PDB in 2020 so they wouldn't have to tell him about potential foreign intrusions.
- 50:45There's an allegation uh that uh uh analytical products were hijacked and suppressed because they rightfully used evidence showing that China had uh was trying to influence the election in a more aggressive way than had been acknowledged publicly, or that Venezuela had some capabilities in election machines that raise concern.
- 51:05That doesn't mean they were deployed, but knowing that there were uh vulnerabilities, knowing that there were exploits, knowing that there were malinfluence operations going on.
- 51:15You want your commander in chief, you want your Congress to know this, and it looks like the deep state, if these documents are an accurate reflection of what the classified evidence is, was trying to keep the commander in chief, the American public, and the Congress dark about real threats to our election.
- 51:30Instead, we were forced federative as the most secure election in America.
- 51:34We now know that wasn't a true story.
- 51:36What we're beginning to see is an overt effort by intelligence officers to keep the people, the American people elected.
- 51:43Lawmakers in Congress, the president from knowing and acting on real threats to our election.
- 51:48Now, let me add to that what Susie Wiles, the White House chief of staff, said recently.
- 51:54She says she thinks this is a quote, thinks we're going to find out, unquote.
- 52:00President Trump won many of the states the media claims he lost in 2020.
- 52:06That's what Susie Wiles says.
- 52:09So there is this information that is out there that's in the court, in the grand jury.
- 52:14So maybe we're about to get some information that is really what we've all talked about for five or six years now.
- 52:21Maybe it's to the point where we're going to get some uh clarity on all of this.
- 52:25Let's real quick move to Texas, where the gay judge in Bexar County has been removed.
- 52:31We talked about this when when this story came up.
- 52:34Her name was Speedy Gonzalez.
- 52:36Remember?
- 52:36Oh, I remember Speedy Gonzalez, yes, yes.
- 52:39Yeah, her actual name is Rosie Speedland Gonzalez, and she has been banned for life from ever serving on the bench again after she unlawfully ordered an attorney to be handcuffed.
- 52:52That is what got her in trouble.
- 52:53Also, here's another story, Matt.
- 52:55I want you to talk about this.
- 52:57The U.S.
- 52:57Postal Service has now reported a net quarterly loss of two billion.
- 53:03That's not a shocker.
- 53:04I think that's actually a little better than what it normally is.
- 53:08That's only two billion.
- 53:10I think it's usually about 16 billion dollars a year that we bail the U.S.
- 53:14Post service out with uh our own taxpayer money.
- 53:18But Matt, what do you think?
- 53:19What is it time to privatize the post office?
- 53:22Uh yeah, and the thing is it's in this weird uh like limbo where they're not a government agency, but they're also regulated to the point where they're not a full private for-profit business either.
- 53:37They're just in this weird like business purgatory.
- 53:40So yeah, I you know, the government can't run anything out of profit.
- 53:44The you know, the incentives just are not there.
- 53:47Um if you are, you know, if you and I started a business and we were to say to every employee, okay, just a heads up.
- 53:54Um, you can work really hard.
- 53:56In fact, you can work as hard as you want, but no matter what, you're all getting paid the same amount.
- 54:00Your raises will all be the same every single year.
- 54:03There's not really much room for promotion.
- 54:05You you know, you can't blame the employees for not working hard, and that's the incentive structure that government gives.
- 54:11And it's one too, where you it's very difficult to get fired as well.
- 54:15Um, I know Trump has uh definitely changed that in recent years.
- 54:18I actually didn't even realize he could fire a lot of the people that he has, but it's still the case.
- 54:23Overall, it's a safer job than the private sector.
- 54:25So the incentives aren't there.
- 54:26I mean, in Canada, their marijuana industry is run by the government and it and it turns a loss.
- 54:33So, like governments literally can't even deal drugs and make a profit, which is one of the highest mars in uh industries as a legal drug.
- 54:41So uh, you know, if the government can't do that, then I don't think there's any business they can ever turn the profit on.
- 54:46We're almost to the end of our hour, but we have not talked about Mark Hamill and what he did last week about Donald Trump wishing that he were dead, and I don't even know why we care.
- 54:56First of all, this guy, this guy was not a real Jedi, it was a movie.
- 55:01And that was 50 years ago.
- 55:03It was 1970, what was it, 77, 78?
- 55:06I remember going, I went to the theater three times to watch Star Wars, but that's how long ago it was.
- 55:11He has no relevance.
- 55:13Should we even care about this, Matt?
- 55:15Um, no, he's clearly just trying to hold on to any relevance whatsoever.
- 55:20But uh no, it just seems like a miserable guy.
- 55:23I don't I just can't imagine if I was like a someone worth tens of millions of dollars that had millions of fans, like even obsessing over anything to the extent that these people are obsessed over politics.
- 55:34I don't know.
- 55:35Like they they won in life, go be happy.
- 55:37Yeah.
- 55:37Well, Matt, we are to the end of our hour.
- 55:40We're gonna watch this week for the China visit by the Trumps.
- 55:44They will go there.
- 55:45That happens on Thursday.
- 55:46And I guess that's about all we really have on our radar this week.
- 55:50But I know that there will be plenty for us to talk about.
- 55:52Are you looking for anything else this week?
- 55:54No more gerrymandering, I guess.
- 55:56Maybe Louisiana and Mississippi and Alabama, but in reality, that might be two seats between all of them.
- 56:00That might be two seats between all of them.
- 56:02So I don't think it's a big deal.
- 56:02So I don't think it's a big deal.
- 56:05Uh, yeah, I mean, better than nothing, and always good to demoralize the meal as much as we can.
- 56:05Uh yeah, I mean better than nothing, and always good to demoralize the meal as much as we can.
- 56:10But uh nothing particular, just more, you know, it's the status of the Iran deal, that kind of stuff.
- 56:10But uh nothing particular, just more, you know, it's the status of the Aran deal, that kind of stuff.
- 56:15Yeah, well, thank you for joining us, Matt.
- 56:15Yeah, well, thank you for joining us, Matt, as always.
- 56:17As always, always a pleasure to have you here on a Monday night.
- 56:18Always a pleasure to have you here on a Monday night.
- 56:20I call it Mondays with Matt.
- 56:20I call it Mondays with Matt.
- 56:21His name is Matt Palumbo.
- 56:21His name is Matt Palumbo.
- 56:23Eleven books he has written.
- 56:23Eleven books he has written.
- 56:24Go find them at Amazon.
- 56:24Go find them at Amazon.
- 56:26Matt, thank you.
- 56:26Matt, thank you.
- 56:27My pleasure.
- 56:27My pleasure.
- 56:27And don't forget, you were told two thousand years ago.
- 56:27And don't forget, you were told two thousand years ago that you are the salt of the earth, and salt without flavor, it has no value.
- 56:34So whatever you do, keep being salty.
- 56:37Have a great night.
- 56:38There is only one truth.
- 56:41You've been listening to The Truth Be Told with Booker Scott on America Out Loud.
