- 1:24Speaker 1: What the hell you got going on? It was?
- 1:26Speaker 2: It was just my ring tone.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The text.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Chose for a certain person.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Oh, oh, Leon the Professional Oh Gary Oldman. Yes, Gary
- 1:45Speaker 1: Oldman is the villain in that movie. I used to
- 1:48Speaker 1: watch that movie on TV all the time, and they changed.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That's changed the words for cussing, and he's tired of that.
- 1:56Speaker 1: M F n bs is what he actually says. But
- 1:58Speaker 1: when they come to Gary old I'm tired of this
- 2:02Speaker 1: Mickey Mouse boot squash man, I said, I'm saying this
- 2:06Speaker 1: for the rest of my life because Nikki Mouse's boots
- 2:09Speaker 1: squash Mouse boot squashed, boot squash not a thig but
- 2:14Speaker 1: uh is his Nigga gen Reno. Yes, man, I love
- 2:18Speaker 1: that movie with the Little Girls. Basically Logan Natalie Nigga's
- 2:23Speaker 1: Natalie Portman. That is Natalie Portman as a children Norton.
- 2:31Speaker 1: That's one of my guilty pressure pleasure movies. I feel
- 2:33Speaker 1: like tone appreciates it, but I feel like the most
- 2:36Speaker 1: people don't appreciate the professional.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Oh they love it. The people that know about it, they.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Do that what y'all think in the comments? Man, y'all
- 2:42Speaker 1: love and yo?
- 2:43Speaker 2: He made I found this out like later on genre
- 2:46Speaker 2: Nou made a choice to make his character slower mentally,
- 2:53Speaker 2: oh really, just to offset the creepy vibe of the
- 2:58Speaker 2: kid him and the kid, as to make it as
- 3:01Speaker 2: to really yeah, as to make it to where he's
- 3:04Speaker 2: kind of like on her level.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Men, but he could kill out of the Doultars.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, just the off set the Yount like, man,
- 3:12Speaker 2: what's up with you?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Because you know they were because initially in the script
- 3:15Speaker 2: they was playing it all because she was trying to, like,
- 3:19Speaker 2: you know, be on him like that, and he's like, oh,
- 3:21Speaker 2: hell no, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, that's a
- 3:23Speaker 2: good choice. Yea, yeah, for sure, good brilliant choice. But yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 2: that movie is amazing.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So four and you also got pope fiction.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mentioned pop fiction.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Pope fiction. So I just saw the speed was good.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You don't like the man.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I don't like the man.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I'm just do though. My favorite.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Also ninety four The Flintstones.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Tolly Barry, Hell yeah, y'all. True Lies remember True Lies.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That had a good Burger King campaign.
- 3:58Speaker 2: True Lies. That's her the Bridge. Jamie Lee Curtis was
- 4:03Speaker 2: the scene still in that she was.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That's a really short movie. I remember people talking about that.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It was on the shorter end of movies. What was
- 4:11Speaker 1: that saying? Oh, Sam Jackson, Yes, he had an audition
- 4:15Speaker 1: for something, Quentin Tarantino. Reservoir Dogs. Oh yeah, he auditioned
- 4:18Speaker 1: for Reservoir Docks. He didn't get it and he was sad,
- 4:21Speaker 1: and Quarantino was like, don't worry, I'm writing something for you.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm just gonna get a little part. And then he
- 4:25Speaker 1: got the Julius Jewels. Jewels him and John Travolta's the
- 4:32Speaker 1: whole thing in that movie when they accidentally killed the
- 4:35Speaker 1: dude in the car with the bump, yes, and the
- 4:38Speaker 1: way they were just like yes and they had to
- 4:42Speaker 1: call the wolf man. I went to France and I
- 4:44Speaker 1: got a Royala cheese because of that movie. Yeah, it
- 4:47Speaker 1: was great, and they really called it Royal cheese. Man.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I thought he was just saying that. When I went
- 4:52Speaker 1: to Paris the first time.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I was like McDonald's Quentin Tarantino was a master of
- 4:57Speaker 2: dialogue for sure.
- 4:58Speaker 1: He loves that nigga too.
- 4:59Speaker 2: By the I don't like that element of his dialogue
- 5:03Speaker 2: at all whatsoever, because he always throw it in there
- 5:06Speaker 2: until like recently he finally stopped. But his dialogue, man,
- 5:10Speaker 2: he he is wordy. Him and Aaron.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Sorkin't never seen a word he didn't want to. God,
- 5:18Speaker 1: dog man, they be talking fast too. The man, he'd
- 5:22Speaker 1: be like every word ever written.
- 5:24Speaker 2: In English for sure.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Man, his pages gotta this still gotta be craz.
- 5:32Speaker 2: God blessed. I got a memorize all this, man. But yeah,
- 5:36Speaker 2: ninety four was a great year of musically. The line
- 5:39Speaker 2: K yeah, there, Santa Claus Clearing present Danger as Ventura,
- 5:47Speaker 2: pet Yo, Jim Carrey. Yeah, man, he had as Ventura
- 5:55Speaker 2: dumb and dumber in the mask in the same year.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That ship is crazy.
- 6:01Speaker 1: That's probably never been touched before.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I ain't never seen a run like that because Soliday
- 6:06Speaker 2: one year is wild. Twenty million, well he didn't get
- 6:13Speaker 2: By the time he got the twenty million, it wasn't
- 6:15Speaker 2: until the Cable Guy really because he shot all this
- 6:18Speaker 2: back to back, so there was like they weren't hits yet. Yeah,
- 6:23Speaker 2: he was just working and yeah, we'll give you you
- 6:24Speaker 2: know this, three hundred thousand, yeah, two million. So once
- 6:27Speaker 2: all these hit hit hit, yeah, then he could be
- 6:30Speaker 2: like the Cable Guy was air tank. I know the
- 6:37Speaker 2: studio was like, man, we should have kept giving you
- 6:40Speaker 2: the scraass twenty one.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Did I tell you that I saw a YouTube video
- 6:47Speaker 1: on the Truman Show. Oh so the YouTube video. Have
- 6:52Speaker 1: you seen this? Leah? Okay, the theory in the YouTube
- 6:57Speaker 1: video is the Truman Show winded Truman know that he
- 7:02Speaker 1: was in the show, right, Tom The dude argues that
- 7:10Speaker 1: Truman knew the whole time in the movie because the
- 7:13Speaker 1: first shot of the Truman Show, he's got he's digging
- 7:17Speaker 1: the hole that he escapes out of, and he's blocking
- 7:20Speaker 1: the camera with his butt. Remember the first shot of
- 7:22Speaker 1: the Truman Show, he's in the garden. Okay, in the
- 7:25Speaker 1: first shot of Truman Show, he's in the garden and
- 7:27Speaker 1: his wife is walking by Lord Lenny. I think it
- 7:30Speaker 1: is Lord Lenny's like saying bye, and he's got his
- 7:32Speaker 1: butt out and he's looking over his shoulder's like see later,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and you can't really see what he's doing when he
- 7:37Speaker 1: comes out of that hole in the movie, that's where
- 7:39Speaker 1: he was. So the dude who argues that Truman always knew,
- 7:43Speaker 1: but he's planning his escape through the movie, and the
- 7:45Speaker 1: whole movie is him finding out who he can trust.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And it's not until he realizes I can't trust nobody.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's just me. He doesn't know how many other people
- 7:54Speaker 1: are stuck in the movie, and I can't remember his
- 7:57Speaker 1: friend's name. But the dude who comes with the beers
- 7:59Speaker 1: at the end, uh, he thinks he's he's trying to
- 8:02Speaker 1: figure out who's in on it. Yeah, And he finds
- 8:04Speaker 1: out that's why his heart's broken. When his friend he
- 8:06Speaker 1: realized he has a conversation. He realized you're in on it. Yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 1: And once he realizes it's him by himself, then he
- 8:12Speaker 1: goes to the water. That's crazy, I said, man. The
- 8:16Speaker 1: dude said he's watched the movie like fifty times. It's
- 8:18Speaker 1: like his favorite movie. I was like, all right, bro,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I mean I love it too, but like and I said, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: the hat Yeah, I didn't love that movie.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But was that ninety seven, ninety eight. I think it
- 8:29Speaker 2: was I.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Don't know we shoul watching it. I don't know what year.
- 8:31Speaker 1: It was statistic the way you are when it comes
- 8:33Speaker 1: to you. But but man, I'm trying to sign okay,
- 8:37Speaker 1: shot Shape Redemption. That's my favorite movie. Ninety four. Yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 1: Forrest Gump really climbed up on me. Yeah, because I
- 8:45Speaker 1: that's in my top five too.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Fors Gum was amazing.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Because I just remember, like, just think, this is just
- 8:51Speaker 1: a really good movie. Yeah, it's just a really good time.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I saw that opening weekend and I went to the
- 8:57Speaker 2: theater just average anticipation. Yeah, you know, yeah, most be
- 9:02Speaker 2: comfortable shoes and then and I was just so in
- 9:07Speaker 2: on it the whole time. It was it was an
- 9:09Speaker 2: emotional roller coaster and I was just like, Yo, that
- 9:12Speaker 2: ship was incredible. It was so good washing it again.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I didn't see shaw Shak until video. Yeah, I saw
- 9:18Speaker 2: a video that movie. I watched TV move at the
- 9:21Speaker 2: box office. That movie took an al Ron Hubbard. Shaw
- 9:26Speaker 2: Shank made zilch.
- 9:30Speaker 1: See man, that's why you need VHS man, because the
- 9:32Speaker 1: movie could find its audience on the video run. Has
- 9:37Speaker 1: there been a movie that's found in the streaming era.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Has there been a movie that found its audience streaming
- 9:43Speaker 1: that that that tanked in the box office but became
- 9:48Speaker 1: a cult classic streaming And I feel like that used
- 9:50Speaker 1: to happen all the time on vhs, But I haven't
- 9:51Speaker 1: heard no stories like that on streaming.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I don't see like movies that didn't do that well
- 9:55Speaker 2: and then I'll see them in the top ten on Netflix,
- 9:58Speaker 2: so I'll see them.
- 9:59Speaker 1: But I mean, I feel like that's manufacturer.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It could be, but that's that's all I got to
- 10:02Speaker 2: go on, Like you know that that coach status is building,
- 10:06Speaker 2: because really, John Wick didn't do it, didn't go crazy
- 10:10Speaker 2: in theaters, not the first one. It did like forty
- 10:12Speaker 2: million domestic.
- 10:14Speaker 1: But see, I don't remember people being like John Wick
- 10:16Speaker 1: on the streaming y'all.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It wasn't really the streaming, but it was just like,
- 10:21Speaker 2: I don't know where the ground swell happened for John Wick.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But if you look at the box office, it was
- 10:28Speaker 2: just forty million.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I do remember people talking about John Wick on social media.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Came out that because I don't think I saw the
- 10:34Speaker 1: first one. I didn't see the first one in real time,
- 10:37Speaker 1: but from tu on.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I was watching them it was like, you know, it
- 10:40Speaker 2: was just building. Yeah, and so I feel like that's
- 10:42Speaker 2: like that's like that old school back in the day building.
- 10:46Speaker 2: We catch it later like oh this shit, dope.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I wonder what year it was where we like was
- 10:51Speaker 1: the peak of video because I remember still in the
- 10:55Speaker 1: early two thousands still going to Blockbuster and then red Box.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Slug on the video store.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but I remember when we moved to La twenty thirteen.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I feel like the fade out on the video store
- 11:07Speaker 2: was like two thousand three.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Three now, because I remember when the Blockbuster closed, the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Blockers from my job closed. I used to go there
- 11:18Speaker 1: and I had a Matten that I rented and they closed,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and I was I went to turn it back in
- 11:23Speaker 1: Blockbuster clothes, and the thing was like if you have stuff, man,
- 11:25Speaker 1: just keep it. And I was just like, oh snap,
- 11:28Speaker 1: And that was my Madden from Blockbuster.
- 11:29Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that was. And I was already married
- 11:32Speaker 1: and I was working at daycare, so this probably was
- 11:33Speaker 1: like two thousand and six or seven, but I feel.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Like the wayne was already because the fade out started
- 11:40Speaker 2: around the two thousand, because that's when I started renting
- 11:42Speaker 2: from Netflix. I was getting early. I was. I was
- 11:46Speaker 2: actually ordering the Netflix titles in the mail. You was
- 11:50Speaker 2: early because the movies it was hard to find, and
- 11:54Speaker 2: I was like, let me get that, and then I
- 11:56Speaker 2: would do the little fold.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Open, put it back up in the thing, a little
- 12:00Speaker 1: fall over fold over.
- 12:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 12:02Speaker 1: So we got Shotshank, Redemption and Forrest Gump.
- 12:04Speaker 2: All right?
- 12:05Speaker 1: All right? Hip hop albums oh NOAs Hillmatic nos allmatic?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Heard it all before, heard it wasn't.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Nah. Because he was born in like seventy I don't
- 12:17Speaker 2: know if he was nineteen.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Is that his first what's his first album?
- 12:22Speaker 2: He was born to Win? So he was twenty and
- 12:25Speaker 2: ninety three, so yeah, he was. He was twenty one
- 12:28Speaker 2: twenty one. Was that the worst album? Yes, for sure.
- 12:32Speaker 2: So he was a team when he was writing all
- 12:34Speaker 2: the lyrics and stuff like that. But like when the
- 12:35Speaker 2: album came out, he was he was a man Bill
- 12:39Speaker 2: Madic though Madick. It' stiff competition because you got Ready
- 12:43Speaker 2: to Die by Biggie, You got Southern Playerlistic, Cadillac Music class,
- 12:47Speaker 2: that's your choice.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I love that music.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I love that album, and so that's tough. You got
- 12:52Speaker 2: Resurrection by Common, which I also love. You got method
- 12:55Speaker 2: man to cal You Got the Diary by Scarface, You
- 13:00Speaker 2: get there. It's a dark side by red Man. But listen.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Ill Maddic is my favorite album of all.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Time, to consider the greatest rap album ever.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I love it.
- 13:09Speaker 1: It's just being people's top fives.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Ten tracks, nine actual songs, no skips, no skips, nah,
- 13:18Speaker 2: zero skills. It's literally beats rhymes in life. Ain't no
- 13:23Speaker 2: R and B features. It's just a rapper telling you
- 13:28Speaker 2: what life. I'm just saying, like, if you, if you,
- 13:31Speaker 2: if you want to introduce what rap is to alien
- 13:34Speaker 2: culture without the extra fillers of just like, oh this
- 13:38Speaker 2: is R and B or whatever you give them. Ill,
- 13:42Speaker 2: It's just straight rap.
- 13:45Speaker 1: This is a great Let's make this video because this
- 13:48Speaker 1: is a good premise. I'm not gonna tell them the
- 13:49Speaker 1: noos because this is great.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Peeps. Life doesn't happen bi weekly, so why should pay them?
- 13:57Speaker 2: That's the ultimate question, man, that's the ultimate question. If

- 16:29Speaker 1: gonna let you do it all right, all right, y'all.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Me and Ton are having a debate. Yes, if you
- 16:37Speaker 1: had to introduce aliens to rap via one rap album,
- 16:42Speaker 1: what would you choose? Tony's gonna give you the particulars.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yes, so it's gonna have to be a straight rap album,
- 16:48Speaker 2: no R and B features, just straight rap, boom back,
- 16:53Speaker 2: no extra genres included. What album are you bringing to
- 16:58Speaker 2: the table?

- 17:02Speaker 1: say because I don't want to. I don't want your

- 17:07Speaker 1: going on, all right. I love that. I'm trying to
- 17:10Speaker 1: think of what I would do, man, because I amb
