Alleged Irish organized crime boss Daniel Kinahan extradited to Dublin from Dubai
Irish media say the alleged leader of a crime gang is on his way back to Ireland from Dubai to face charges. Daniel Kinahan, 49, is accused of running an international drug smuggling and money laundering empire. An Irish military plane carrying Kinahan is expected to land on Sunday evening at an airport outside Dublin. He will be taken directly to the Special Criminal Court in Dublin to face charges of directing an organized crime group. A huge security operation is under way to ensure Kinahan faces justice, including armed police and a bomb-proof escort van.
